I feel like being toxic so here’s all the reasons I don’t like Ranboo as a creator 💗
1. He’s got that tiktok taint. I respect the grind but honest to god I can’t divorce their content from his primary audience, which is chronically online tiktok teens, and I’m simply not about that.
2. They talk too much. Not everything needs a commentary my guy! Let shit breathe. I tried watching a play through of his and I lasted about five minutes. It was a genuinely good game but they were just relentless with sarcastic, bad faith commentary, and they missed major character beats and fun bonus content because of it! Not everything’s about you and your sardonics. Be quiet.
3. None of their character work is examined by the narrative. Ranboo’s characters have good bones. They have fun, interesting concepts. But literally none of it matters because none of them experience lasting, meaningful consequence. This does not mean bad things don’t happen to them. It means they don’t experience lasting consequences. You can be three years old and smash your rag doll against the wall, and that can be genuinely rough and upsetting to watch, but the next day both the doll and the three year old will be fine, and it will happen all over again, and again, and again. There is an inescapable woe-is-me victim mentality I-have-no-agency-or-control-boo-hoo ness to So Many of his fucking characters and I can’t stand it. STAND UP!!
4. He doesn’t finish anything. How long have y’all been waiting for Gen Loss? It’s been so damn long you started making it yourself. L.
5. They’re American. Now to be fair they can’t help this and this is far more personal to me, but it takes A Lot for me to like American creators. Y’all inundate the entertainment industry and have created a vice-like monopoly on it. I’ve had American voices in my ears from babyhood and it’s hard not to be a little resentful about that.

Cc!Ranboo has hands down the worst, most entitled Twitter fanbase I’ve seen and it makes it very difficult for me to enjoy their content.
Can I be a bitch ?

I love the scene in the middle Doomsday where c!Techno returns Do Not Read to c!Ranboo, because it so clearly demonstrate that c!Techno already likes c!Ranboo, and is just generally a great example of how c!Techno in general tends towards helping others so long as they haven't done anything to hurt him (and like. Sometimes even when they have. bc like. c!Ranboo was kinda involved in the Butcher Army)
It's the middle of an active battle field, like twenty people all trying to kill c!Techno, and yet the moment he sees c!Ranboo he stops and says "Ranboo! Ranboo! You're alright!" And immediately returns the book c!Ranboo is asking for, before following up with "get out of here, I don't have anything against you. Just flee in the battle, no one will no." And c!Philza also chimes in to assure c!Ranboo that no one will see them and that they'll be alright, and it's just so— adskdhafjstjsj
And- and also- and also, a few minutes later, you can hear c!Quackity in the background and he asks someone if they've seen his book, "Do Not Read" because he still has a grudge on c!Ranboo and he still wants to take them down, so he's trying to get the book back. (Because the whole reason c!Techno even has it was because he happened to pick it up when c!Quackity dropped it)
Also. When c!Techno sees c!Ranboo again later in the fight, he's kinda exasperated that they're still there but stops to ask them if they're alright again. (He also completely misses how utterly miserable c!Ranboo is when they say "same as yesterday", which I think is hilarious.)
#Techno's response being “woo! the monotony of life!”#whic is obviously joking and riffing off the blatant negative meaning of c!Ranboo's words on cc!Techno's part#but I think in-character makes more sense as him being distracted / too caught up in his own triumph / just plain bad at reading people#ctechno#dsmp techno#technoblade#peer pressure duo#cranboo#dsmp ranboo#ranboo#dsmp#dsmp doomsday#rambling about blorbos

I’m so sorry but I just can’t bring myself to care about Ranboo’s generation loss project until I actually see something concrete from it. Teasers and promises just don’t do it for me. Like I really want to care, but I just can’t. Sorry king

remember when ccRanboo said in a discord "yeah lol I'm not really planning to play on origins anymore" and the only way to hear of that was via a screenshot on tumblr or twitter?
#ranboo neg#because this is neg and I am still upset about it#it was like pilling teeth to get ANY cc to be open#about the content you'd be invested in for so long#and then Oopsie nah nevermind. it's dead and rotten now

Okay this is 100% discourse, so maybe avert your eyes if you don't want to see me wail at the heavens, but for a fandom so anxious about boundaries, we haven't actually been very good in practice at respecting the actual stated boundaries the streamers put down, and I think it shows what we're actually policing, which is not things to make the streamers comfortable, it's stuff to make us comfortable.
This ranges from inventing new boundaries for people (you can't use neopronouns for ranboo, their pronouns are he/they; there's no boundaries on dark content for streamers so obviously we have to invent and enforce dark sbi rules ourselves) and then harassing people based on those boundaries that we just made up, to ignoring the actual things that the streamers said if we don't agree with them (cc!dream said he was uncomfortable with gore art back during the revolutionary war/exile but he's a villain, right, so we can just do whatever we want with the character, right?) and just doing whatever we want.
This is a recurring problem, with people violently policing boundaries that the fandom has all agreed on, to the point of doxxing and harassment and death threats, and ignoring boundaries that they have decided "don't make sense".
Like here's the example I put in the tags earlier, which is Technoblade related. Everyone knows that family dynamic is great and shipping is a no-go, right? But if you actually go looking for the clips, (or listen to streams in the background recursively while you're doing other things), you'll find that what Technoblade said about shipping was that it was "kinda cringe" (I think the list of things he said was cringe included reading percy jackson books and talking like you're better at video games than you actually are), and he was MUCH stronger in saying that he didn't like family dynamic in canon, saying that he didn't like it, that it was non-canon, and he'd never betray his family like that.
But if you look at the entire "found family" tag on Ao3, 19,860 stories, Technoblade is tagged into 29% of them. That's 5,760 fics just blowing right past what Technoblade said. Boom. Taking that character from his political anarchist setting and setting him right down in a royalty au w. younger siblings.
Because obviously a family dynamic isn't actually going to hurt someone's feelings or make them feel weird, the fandom has agreed, so what he must mean was that saying that family dynamic was actual literal canon is the only bad thing (I have been clotheslined by family dynamic written into stuff tagged as "canon compliant" multiple times as well,) and we can continue with the fun family stuff, right? Because someone saying they don't like family dynamic doesn't make Sense, in the way that I like it, the fandom has agreed, so we can just ignore that clip. Honestly I think that a ton of people have no idea that Technoblade ever said anything negative about family dynamic, because that clip is never brought out or talked about. I literally only know about it because I've watched that stream.
Meanwhile, the much less firmly stated boundary when it comes to shipping is absolutely doubled down on and brought out to justify mobbing people off the internet, because everyone already knows that shipping is bad and terrible and tainted and horrible to do and we don't like it, so even the slightest indication that it's out has to be grabbed and used to police people. So that everyone can be very to sure themselves that what they're doing is not weird, and the streamers are okay with it, and if I showed them my fic they'd say they liked it.
They're not going to give the Ok to your fic, because the fic isn't FOR them, and it shouldn't be. It's for the other weird fans who can't stop thinking about the block men characters, it's not for the actors. The actors have their own lives, leave them alone.
To be clear, I am not saying that we should stop writing family dynamic to respect Technoblade's feelings. Among other things, I don't think he's checking his character tag on Ao3 right now. But like, I've talked before about the way that boundaries culture ends up working in practice, and how constantly bringing problems up to streamers just ends up showing them all the things that are the most weird to the streamer. You only have to look at what most of Benchtrio has done in terms of boundaries, which has been transitioning from very explict boundaries with details on everything to just saying "just use your manners," stopping answering questions, and telling people to actually think about what they're showing the streamer instead of expecting someone to weigh in on it for them.
But even when it comes to the boundaries that we do have, that we know about, the way people enforce them seems to be less about actually respecting what the creators like, and more about making sure we're morally pure and never have to see something that we personally don't like, and we don't happen to have any of that nasty boys kissing content in our work, because we all know that's terrible. (And as someone who's seen crackdowns on LGBTQIA content several times, that certainly has unfortunate overtones.)
As long as it's all kept away from the creators, I really think that fluffy cuddly family dynamic and kissing fic and hardcore whump all falls into the category of "not for the creators, they might find that one weird, but you do you". Like keep it away from the streamers, use your brain, but like, it's all a bit weird and for fun. Let it be weird and for fun in a secluded part of the internet, keep it away from the streamers, tag your shit for people who don't want to see it, and go to town.
So just like, I really think that "creator boundaries" should be more about using your brain as to what you show the streamer, and less about harassing someone off the internet cause they drew kissing art.

DTBLR CC Survey Results
Hello as I’m sure many of you (399 people to be exact) know I asked for opinions on a mix of MCYT’S, Hispanic cc’s, and greater twitch streamers. Here are the results of that survey, a few insights into the data, and links to the full data and analysis if any of you are interested in looking a bit more in depth! Thank you so much to everyone who took some time to answer!
Sorry this is a Bit Long so if you would just prefer to look over the raw data help yourself here ^_^
Overall Analysis
These two graphs above show the top 20 most strongly liked and strongly hated cc’s in dtblr percentage wise.
A few interesting things to note; surprisingly dream team isnt the top 3 most liked, instead one of the spots go to Technoblade! Don’t worry though, Sapnap is still extremely liked among us all only very slightly eeking behind Tubbo and BBH. Some nice appearences too from non-mcyt cc’s include Spreen, Larray and Rainbolt!
Looking at the most disliked and well done dtblr ^_^ except for the one person who voted ‘very positive’ for Kaceytron. It’s a very sensible bottom three. Quackity comes next, with stronger feelings from people who do not consume any of his spanish content. Obviously I assume this is a massive change from the general consensus 4 months ago, so apologies to any previous Q enjoyers. A few surprising entries from the rest of Lovejoy, which few people held strong feelings of (12.9% VN and mostly Nuetral/Negative) probably effected by a few anti-drolo moves from a few members recently, and Karl Jacobs who will be talked about later.
Sorry, this graph is a little hard to read. However, it is interesting. This is a total of Very Positive AND Positive (%). So, it benefits cc’s which people have a bit more distance from and are maybe not as interested in as the top 2 cc’s here are actually BBH (98.5%) and Tubbo (97.7%), with Dream and Techno shortly behind with an equal 97.5% positive opinion.
This is the opposite chart - the total of negative opinions (%) of every cc. Keemstar wins this one with only 10 out of 399 people choosing nuetral, and everyone else (97.3%) having a negative opinion. Minx (81%), Jack Manifold (79.8%), Ranboo (68.7%) and Mr Beast (58.5%) also feature in this top 10 most disliked.
This is an interesting one. And you all better appreciate this because I had three breakdowns and spent 5 hours trying to work the maths out. So I get to nerd out for a second. This graph measures how divided in opinion dtblr is over a cc. It’s a measure of spread, so every answer was asigned a value (VP-1, P-1.5, Neu-2, N-2.5, VN-3) and then a standard distribution was found. The results are shown on a scale of 0 to 2, with 0 representing a theoratical 100% of answers being nuetral, and 2 representing 50% VP and 50% VN <- the most divided you could theoretically get. And it gets interesting results.
The most divided cc amongst dtblr is...... Karl Jacobs with a score of 0.672. Unsurprising since he had... A Very Split Opinion. Over half feel positively about him, about 20% neutral and 30% negative in some capacity. So, whatever your opinion on him.... I guess you can find at least some blogs to follow?
Other (nearly) as devicive cc’s include Philza, Quackity, Ranboo, Slimecicle and Mr Beast.
Some of the least devicive cc’s are not at all surprising. Now, remember this is based off how much we all agree, not how positive or negative, which is why there is the mix of; Kaceytron, Keemstar, Technoblade, Dream, Badboyhalo, GNF and Awesamdude.
Just for fun, here is the spread of opinions of the two least polarising cc’s. Except for one person putting Very Positive for Kaceytron (which is a mistake i Hope yet i will count it because its funny) they are overwhelmingly negative! Dtblr hopes they both burn in hell!
Non-MCYT Creators
Next we’ll take a look at the Hispanic ccs! Spreen and Shadoune were firm favourites out of the lot, with 53.4% and 32% very positive respectively, and 94% and 86% positive overall. Roir, Rubuis and Karchez were also well liked among us.
The most disliked was Quackity (spanish viewers), Auronplay and Komanche, with people most negative about the two formor ccs. Overall though, dtblr is in a lot of agreement with each other about the opinions of Hispanic ccs!
The Greater Twitch Streamers next. Most popular here are Larray (87.6% positive), Rainbolt (86.5), Austinshow (80.8%) Corpse (77.7%), and the Botez Sisters (75.1)! Good, or I think we’d all be doxxed and then thouroughly beaten in chess. Larray, Rainbolt, the Botez Sisters, BrookeAB and Kyedae are all very liked (from those that know them) with each less than 3 negative opinions.
Most diliked are pretty obvious, and have been talked about before as the avg streamer here is much more negatively thought of than the worst of the mcyt streamers. However, aside from the fully expected there is also ImAlexx (57.6% dislike), KSI (28.9%), James Mariott (42.4%) and CG5 (48.3%).
A lot of cc’s here were selected out of my personal interest of a few bigger streamers, a few controversial, and a few Valorant streamers - so many were much less well known than many of the mcyt, which explains the greater percentages of nuetral answers.
Dream Team
I want to take a bit of a deeper dive into the Dream Team’s individual breakdowns now :)
All three are overwhelmingly positive ^_^ as it should be in DTBLR.... however 4 people did put negative for Dream, 4 negative and 1 very negative for GeorgeNotFound, and 9 negative and 3 very negative for Sapnap. Please be assured: For all three they were still among the very very top of liked all 140 ccs quizzed and are still extremely liked among dtblr - additionally they were all amongst the very top of Very Positive, not just casually enjoyed.
Additionally, there was at least two people who put a variation of negative for all three, and several who had negative opinions on 2/3 so this poll almost certainly had a few people outside of dtblr take it - so although I didn’t remove any of these results, I probably could have done on this basis.
One more thing I’ve looked at for the Dream Team is what are people who have Negative/Very Negative Opinions on any or multiple of the three are more or less likely to think of other ccs. In other words, if there’s any correlation!
The results are.... interesting! People who voted N/VN of any of the Dream Team were 42% less likely to vote positive for Austinshow, Tommyinnit and Skeppy, 38% for Puffy and Hasan, 30% for Awesamdude, Punz and Hannah, 27% for Benez, Rainbolt, Shadoune, Sylveey and Callahan and 20% for Karl, Redvelvetcake and Ludwig.
Conversly they are 40% less likely to vote negative for Martyn InTheLittleWood, 35% for MichaelMcchil, 25% for Quackity and Ranboo, 15% for Aimsey, Billzo, BoomerNA, 12% for Philza, 10% for CG5 and ConnorEatsPants, Jack Manifold, James Mariott, Smajor and Sneegsnag,
They, however, were 34% more likely to vote positive for Eret, Pearlescentmoon and Iskall85, 27% for FalseSymmetry, GoodTimesWithScar, ImpulseSV, Smajor and GeminiTay, 22% for Grian, 20% for Badlinu, Philza, Rendog, Cubfan, and InTheLittleWood, 16% for ConnorEatsPants, Lovejoy and Fundy, 12% for Bdubs and James Mariott.
And finally, they were 25% more likely to vote negative for KSI, 18% for Tinakitten, Tommyinnit and the TheYard, and 16% for Spreen, Sykkuno, HasanAbi and Corpse.
XQC
The only topic left to talk about is the owner of the special poll.... XQC!
Congrats to the 221 who picked neutral (in a bug way) we would all like to study him. But perhaps from a distance.
In the future I will use this category to evaluate some more members, as that was requested.
Conclusions
I love you dtblr! This was really fun to do and thank you all for patcipating, I might try do this agian with some other cc’s or just measure the change in the future! If you do want a breakdown on some specific cc’s send me an ask, or check out the data providided and give it a go yourself!

Saw this post cuz someone reblogged and I’m thinking about it again.. I’m literally so right..
Nobody can see into my brain or private messages rn but I just made some really awesome points about genloss & other medias about the strange idea of how “viewers are really the ones who made this happen”
#like AUGHH#yes of course it’s the viewers who chose and continue to use but it’s the platform who continues to exploit and abuse the viewers attention#the choice has no good ending… it was made specifically for us to feel guilt and bear the weight of gl!ranboos death#but we were never the ones to put them in those chains#and I think it’s just interesting#the commentary of viewers negatively impacting ccs is an important one and I DO agree with it#but I think it’s removing what Showfall could represent which is the environment on the internet that let’s these things happens#the exploitation by corporations and people who may not even really care about the cc to either keep them up and useful for entertainment#or to make their downfall a spectacle to behold (aka. live or die choice)#the viewer is guilty.. they are always guilty#if they did not watch and did not enjoy what was being shown one way or another then there would be no choice to be made#or people to be exploited#but the viewers are also part of this exploitation.. of their OWN emotions#genloss viewers were exploited just like the actors and other workers bexause we were given false hope#a false image that things are fine or that something better can be achieved when it couldn’t#idk where I’m going with this exactly..#just think it’s interesting to me#and that it’s a shame the role showfall has is one that is ignored#especially since it’s so obvious.. they control the cameras.. they are the people behind the sets and stage and are the reason gl!Ranboo#is even being seen

Going on a bit of a rant here about some problems ive noticed about bootwt.
I feel like it's become increasingly exhausting to be in this community, and ill explain why because i have left it behind.
A lot amazing work has been done by the community to make it a safer space for minorities, but in a way this has put the community on a pedestal. It feel like everyone is expected to be an activist or they are a bad person nobody wants around.
There's a huge difference in being an ally, and an activist. An ally is someone that will speak against shit when they come across it, do their best to educate themself, stand behind people in every way they can.
An activist goes a step further and seeks out ways to make change. Organizing charity events, going out of their way to educate others, uplift voices and being constantly posting about issues as they come out. Taking on the problems of others is not an easy thing mentally especially if you have your own issues.
Are you a bad person for not making a twitter post when some shitty cc says a stupid thing again? Bigotry is constantly happening and will continue, no matter what the community is like. But, if you were to watch the news, get overwhelmed and have to turn it off instead of tweeting about it, you wouldnt be a bad person right? The victim on the news could have their entire life changed by a tramatic event and you cant even have the decency to watch and give your empathy?
There's this overwhelming crushing expectation in this community of being an activist or else you dont belong. If you dont post wishing a happy holiday, happy heritage month, your deep supportfor the people that were discriminated against, then you dont care. People do it like its a checklist. it's not enough to simply care silently. It feels very performative as an outsider. It's always makes me feel so awful for watching ranboo and wanting to be a part of the community. The guilt is horrible. But if im not kept up with all the bad parts of it, im not doing it right.
There is also ableism. If you are uneducated or make a mistake speaking over minorities because of social issues you might experience, even if you try to be better it's held against you forever. These mistakes are valid and wrong. It's very important to have the attitude to improve yourself and see your mistake. As long as you are trying, why do people feel the need to kick you out of your safe space? I am not active on social media but i have seen this happen to many in the community.
I just hope for a space away from the hell i deal with. I just want to see and share silly art.
It's absolutely amazing the efforts of bootwt to make a good place for everyone. People work so hard and im grateful and amazed at what they have done. Racists should be bullied away. Ignorant people who do microaggressions but are willing to be educated and be better should be educated. Jumping people does not help anyone, help people realize their mistakes.
I hope the community continues the amazing work they have been doing. But lessen up on the expectations of others to also be activists like them. Communities are made up of all kinds of people. Everyone wants different things, some people need an escape from constant negativity. We should try to get along, point out each others mistakes and become better. Not put the community on the highest pedestal expecting everyone to be the same.
I hope this doesn’t come across like im a bigot trying to justify myself. I was really scared to post this but if I’m the only one who feels this is a problem just ignore me
i originally wasn't going to respond to this, but i want to break down some of this and explain it because i feel like i know what you're trying to say, but there's a lot of stuff in here that is misconstrued.
"It feel like everyone is expected to be an activist or they are a bad person nobody wants around"
you are not a bad person if you aren't an activist! i hope no one feels obligated to always be on the front lines fighting with people to make change. ranboo's community in the recent months has been one of the most active communities i've been in when it comes to rooting out bad people and making sure they know they're not welcome. if you feel unwelcome, why? you say it's because you don't want to be an activist. you don't have to be! but sending support and love to people who need it isn't activism. being educated and constantly evaluating yourself and your biases isn't activism. that's a part of living in the world we were born into that's entrenched in horrible bigotry that's been taught and ingrained since birth. ignoring these things doesn't make them go away, and the least you can do is acknowledge it and work to not continue the cycle of pain that so many minorities are subjected to. You say the community is supposed to be a safe place. how is it supposed to be safe if there are people who get away with saying and doing horrible things? its not enough to not be racist, ableist, antisemitic, sexist, homo/transphobic etc. you have to be anti- all of these things, and have a genuine love for the people who are affected.
if you feel like these things are too much emotionally for you, you are more than welcome to step away. no one expects anyone to be on the internet 24/7 or to always engage in the negative topics. hell, i've stopped talking about certain ccs and stopped constantly criticizing their actions because i know they wont change. i recognized it isn't healthy for me and there's no point to it. but when it comes to support, to making sure that everyone knows that bigotry isn't welcome, that is a very important aspect of a community. that's the DEFINITION of what a community is! and, if those of us who have followings and have thousands of people who look to us as a reflection of ranboo, don't do these things? how does that look from the outside? at this point it doesn't even correlate to ranboo anymore. me wanting people in bootwt to be educated and respectful people doesn't exist only in the online community, it exists in real life too. i want others to be aware of the impact they have on others. I would think that any fan of ranboo's would want that too, considering its one of the biggest things ranboo advocates for his fans. to be good people.
you correlated being an ally and being an activist, and you said that "An ally is someone that will speak against shit when they come across it, do their best to educate themself, stand behind people in every way they can." is that not what the community has constantly asked for? that's all minorities are asking for. you just described the community! then you say "There's this overwhelming crushing expectation in this community of being an activist or else you dont belong. If you dont post wishing a happy holiday, happy heritage month, your deep support for the people that were discriminated against, then you dont care." isnt that just being an ally, by your definition???? wishing people happy holidays to respect their culture and important days, and standing behind people who have experienced discrimination so they know they are loved and those hurtful things aren't welcome here? if you miss something or are late, that's normal! even if you after the fact say "hey, sorry i missed it but happy x hope your day was well" maybe one person will see it and will feel seen.
"it's not enough to simply care silently." im going to be completely honest. no. no its not. its not enough because being silent ALLOWS bigotry to exist. im going to link this article i researched specifically for this post, because it explains how silent racism works and is ingrained in our society
"It feels very performative as an outsider. It's always makes me feel so awful for watching ranboo and wanting to be a part of the community. The guilt is horrible. But if im not kept up with all the bad parts of it, im not doing it right."
no one expects anyone to always be caught up on which new cc was racist. we want people to be able to recognize bigotry and uplift the people who are hurt. to say, both online and in real life, when its safe: "hey, that wasnt cool, that hurts people." you shouldnt feel bad for wanting to be apart of the community. people are allowed to want to be apart of it. its a fun place to be sometimes! but also, people are allowed to distance themselves and not forgive some of the bad things they experienced.
"There is also ableism. I am not active on social media but i have seen this happen to many in the community."
i do agree with you on this one. I don't like how the internet holds grudges. people aren't allowed to change and things they did are always held against them. BUT. on the other hand, if you have hurt people, those victims are not obligated to forgive you. this is a balance that isn't easily achieved in a large community, much less so on the internet. these are things that happen in all communities and its not fair sometimes.
at the end of the day. if you don't want to be an activist, then don't be. if you only want to see art and funny bits, mute terms. the more that these things are discussed and called out however, the easier its going to make it for the future. i don't think its fair to blame hurt people for making you feel bad about yourself. that's something you need to reflect on yourself and recognize why you feel that way, whether it be guilt or ignorance.
im not gonna be responding on this any further, go ham in the comments with thoughts if you want
have a nice day!
#long post#eclipsing#this is just a giant word salad i hope i got my feelings across#i think youre angry at the wrong thing and should direct your anger to the actual bad people. not those who just want to feel safe

Fairytales from the SMP: Volume II Collab Rules and Information
There will be 15 fairytales maximum. Artists and writers will be assigned to one fairytale each. There will be no repeat fairytales.
Although fairytales are not repeated, ships can be (ex: both Cinderella and Rapunzel can be dnf, they just have to be written by two different writers)
Writers can act as beta readers for other writers. This does not change that only one writer is assigned to write one fairytale.
Please do try to reach out to a designated beta reader before going to another writer.
This is a positive event. Do not write neg of or over-vilify anyone. If you cannot be neutral at minimum in your works, do not write that character. This is meant to be a hostility/toxicity free environment.
Adhere to cc boundaries as much as possible while creating for this collab.
Do not ship Dream with Tommy, Tubbo, or Ranboo. I don't expect that anyone would, but I don't think it hurts to explicitly say it.
No sexual or underage content.
Relationships do not need to be romantic ships.
If you are banned from the discord server, you will be removed from the collab as well.
The minimum word count is 1,000 words. There is no maximum word limit. Chapter fics are allowed.
All fics and art should be ready to publish at least one part by the deadline week. All fics will be published in a collection to ao3 only. All art will be published to tumblr using the tag # fairytalesfromthesmp. Deadline dates are July 28-August 3, 2024. Posting dates should be coordinated between the writer and artist.
Fics can be set in whatever universe you want (dsmp, Minecraft the game, modern fantasy/fairytale, classic fantasy/fairytale, etc). You’re not limited in setting. Artwork must correspond to the paired fic.
Please keep all fic and art info within the collab and server. This rule applies to ALL collab members.
Notes:
Please dm this blog if you are interested in joining! If you would like to be a writer or a backup writer, please provide your ao3 username. If you would like to be an artist or backup artist, please have examples of your artwork available.
Backup writers are allowed to be beta readers as well. In a pinch, as per the rules, if there are no other beta readers available, writers may also act as beta readers for their fellow writers. However, it’s preferred that beta reading is kept strictly to the people in the beta reader role, if possible.
Backup writers and backup artists will need to be able to create within a shorter timeframe, should they be swapped in. Please do not apply for a backup position if this is not feasible for you.
Communication for this collab takes place on discord. This is required in order for everyone in the collab to have all the necessary information.

honestly sometimes I feel bad for cc!Tubbo. Imagine having your roleplay husband kill his character out of boredom and have to rewrite your semi happy ending to die in nuclear fire for the sake of reviving the server in a plan that was complete farce the entire time
sometimes I feel bad for ccs for a second, then I remember how I felt in the aftermath of the finale and how long it's taken for me to get to the point where I can somewhat enjoy the lore again and then I kind of. don't. :") that relapse really reworked my feelings towards these people huh

man I have such complicated thoughts about c!ranboo now and it kinda sucks. because that's my special little guy.
Mostly, it's just this weird mixture of like... that's my special little guy, but also the way the dsmp ended and c!ranboo's story ended up just. not happening makes me sad, and also the way cc!Ranboo quietly seems to feel about c!ranboo and their time on the dsmp on a whole makes me sad, too. like I don't BLAME them at all, whatsoever, but mostly I'm sad because of how something I love so much ended up going so badly for the person creating it, y'know? It just hurts and sucks to know the creator for a character and story I love so dearly has such a negative relationship with that era of their career and what they created during that time. I just hate it for him because what he managed to do, even with how terribly things got fucked up, was still something really special that I have a special affection for.
It's like. I love this. I wish the person who worked so hard to create it could still have positive feelings about it, too, but I totally understand why he doesn't. It just isn't fair, you know? That should've been a career highlight, and a fun time to look back on. It sucks so bad that it clearly isn't.
