BEAMS PLUS x Sperry Collaboration Shines at Paris Fashion Week Event

Yesterday marked a significant event at Paris Fashion Week as Sperry and Japanese clothing brand BEAMS PLUS came together to celebrate the extension of their successful partnership.

Back in 2023, BEAMS PLUS and Sperry unveiled a special iteration of Sperry’s iconic CVO sneaker, dubbed the MIL CVO. This collaboration pays homage to the original CVO sneaker, crafted by Paul Sperry in 1935, while integrating modern comfort and vintage-inspired branding. With a deep focus on authenticity, Sperry and BEAMS PLUS have revitalized the classic canvas deck shoe, catering to fashion purists who cherish heritage and authenticity in their wardrobe. The MIL CVO is crafted using original 1940s tooling and lasts, ensuring an authentic fit, look, and feel. It features details true to the CVO style used by the US Navy in the 1940s, including Sperry’s signature Wave Siping outsole and thick rubber foxing connecting the upper and outsole.

The collaboration continues with the introduction of the MIL CVO in nylon, available in three new colorways: White, BP Orange, and Navy, retailing at $85 USD. Alongside the sneakers, a limited-edition apparel capsule collection for Spring/Summer 2025 is also being launched. "Carlyne Cerf de Dudzeele, opened the show with classic jeans tees, hoodies and blazers all worn with lashings of oversized diamanté jewellery. It perfectly reflected the influential  high/low look that she pioneered. Next Karefa-Johnson brought her signature energy and the catwalk with a series of luxe hippie, crochet and patchwork looks inspired by early ��90s Moschino collections. Lucia Lui focused on the femininity and romance of Franco’s work, lavishing her looks with frills flounces heats and bows. Katie Grand closed the show with wild dancers choreographed by Wayne McGregor that thrilled with energy and attitude. Wasted Paris Pays Tribute to Larry Clark’s ‘Kids’ for SS23

For Spring/Summer 2023, Wasted Paris continues to explore its skate culture and youth-focus influences. This is an anticipated collaboration. In 2015, Supreme left us with a collaboration with the film Kids, for its 20th anniversary. Now in 2023, Wasted Paris had to give this pop culture's movie tribute for its heavy influence on urban streetwear style back in the 90's. As we now know, it's always making its comeback around. This collection was heavily inspired by creating outerwear. We may have also been introduced in the form of a faded denim hoodie jacket — a design that was sparked by archive images of Brooklyn Banks.

The French brand was able to mesh in the New York youth skate style by creating baggy pants with updated signature details like a black leather label varsity jackets, and full-zip hoodies that give off an oversized look.
