Okay so it kind of annoys me that it’s just sheer luck if you get any pieces that match, which thankfully, I did get some shoes and a bag from the same outfit! But honestly, all I see is a mix-matched Karen with that haircut lol!!! So I’m calling her Karena! 😎 She looks random but cute, I hope I get different matching pieces next time!!! I didn’t include her glasses as I wanted to see the eyes on my drawing lol! Also, the red glasses and yellow watch don’t have a code? 🤔 On the next photo, you can see my first Ram Rock figure! @garrettsander

If you follow my doll side blog, you know i love the capsule chix dolls. I've been wanting to use them as art reference for a while now and i finally finished this piece today! Im quite proud of how it turned out 😊 I took a long time to complete it but it was worth it!

Has anyone found anything to do with the capsules and the pink capsule baskets from the capsule chix boxes, that’s not just ‘store the capsule chix parts in it (i’ve done that, I still have extra capsules)

I can’t recycle them where I am but I don’t want to just throw them away...

I was thinking some sort of doll furniture or diorama/craft thing???

I think the conversation over fashion and looks and superficiality is so interesting, especially as I get more interested in making clothes and dolls. Like I do feel embarrassed by these interests (but I feel embarrassed about most of my interests) but I try to dig a bit deeper and think well is it that much different from art in museums, painting or expressing yourself through other means of music or poetry or fiction?

Back when I bought my capsule chix I had a weird conversation with my dad where he said... man made things in general don’t do anything for him he’s only really impressed by natural wonders. I dunno I’m sick of quarantine let me out so I can stop experiencing the world from YouTube.

SO i just bought a blind box doll for funsies, cause the box art really caught my eye

Shes adorable. Overpriced and super wasterful with the plastic (i’d like to see capsule ‘refills’ instead of haveing to buy the box over and over). but adorable

But i made a discovery. her hands come off.

and they fit with monster high. So now if you want monster high girls with yuri hands, you can lololol (the capsule chix have different hand poses like peace signs and devil horns). I was dying laughing when i found this.

but really the tiny hand might work for a Lady Amalthea doll i want to make.

Went into Target today and saw this new doll line called “Capsule Chix”. And can I just say? I ADORE the box art! It’s both cute and gorgeous. Caught my eye at first glance and now I’m compelled to draw these characters in my own style. 

Turns out they’re actually drawn by Garrett Sander, the same guy who created Monster High!    

I screenshot the latter 7 pics from Capsule Chix’s IG stories (the last one is from a Look Book PDF because it’s the only place I can find the full body design for that character.) I try to collect all the drawn illustrations that are publicly available.

“Capsule Chix” are tiny dolls that can be created by putting small parts together (head, torso, legs, outfits) and each of those parts can be found in a capsule. Certain amount of capsules are gathered in a collection. This leaves room to mix and match those parts however you like it. There are 4 kinds of fashion styles in this franchise:
