Magical Vacation - Let's Illustrate!

Some time after Magical Vacation released in Japan, Brownie Brown opened a fanart submission page called "Let's Illustrate" (レッツイラスト) on their MV website. Submissions were categorized by "General Submission Works" (一般応募作品) and "Friends' Works" (おともだち作品).

Sadly, several images weren't preserved on the WayBack Machine, so we salvaged what we could and stored them in a Drive folder!

I have a question for you all!

Who here knows Wizard of Oz? If you do know it then as anyone heard of the animated film “Legends of Oz: Dorothy’s return”??

If so; then boy do I have something for you! I got back into my love for the movie and may have made a bit of an extended story for after Dorothy left for Kansas again but it involves Marshal Mallow.

SPOILERS FOR THIS STORY AND TO THE MOVIE AHEAD!!!

Okay so what happens is that after Dorothy had left to go home, Marshal mallow; China Princess; Wiser; Glenda; Scarecrow; Tin Man; Lion and others that were at Jester’s castle start to pick things up and go home.

Marshal mallow drops China Princess at her castle and swore to write to her and visit when he can. Once he made that promise; He and General candy apple made their way back to Candy county. However; Something was Wrong.

Marshal had been noticing that General Candy Apple was looking Distracted and on edge. When he asked him if he was okay; General Candy Apple said he was fine and that he’s just eager to get home. Marshal didn’t think much of it and they both got back.

For months; Things seem to be going well. Until one day; Marshal had been talking to a really nice couple when he heard someone frantically calling out to him. He looks up to see someone come up and tell him General Candy Apple was losing it in the courtyards, Marshal didn’t think this was like his general but he hurried off to go see what was wrong.

Sure enough when he got there; He saw Candy Apple lashing out at civilians and almost getting Physical. Marshal raced in and got in front of his General. “General Candy Apple; What are you doing!? You’re attacking innocent people!!” General Candy Apple looks up and was looking really insane; He mutters; “I won’t let you take me away again you vile jester…”. Then He lunges forward and slashes Marshal in the eye with his sword!

Marshal was shocked by the sudden attack but he knew he had to fight back; people within the Courtyards ran away and hid. Marshal and Candy Apple start to fight; Dodging sword attacks, Punches, Kicks, Anything! Marshal didn’t understand what was going on with his General but whatever it was; It wasn’t good.

Marshal tried running away while fighting but General Candy Apple didn’t let him out of his sights. Soon it was pouring rain and both were tired and in the middle of town. Marshal had a cut on his cheek; Across his eye and stomach while General Candy Apple only had a couple small cuts and bruises.

Marshal knew he had to put an end to his general’s attacks or else he was done for. So as General Candy Apple charged at him; Marshal turned his sword then dodged the oncoming sword attack from General Candy Apple while at the same time, Impaling him!!

Candy Apple is out of his crazy state when he felt the pain in his chest and he saw Marshal’s sword in his chest. He looks at Marshal who looks horrified; The two fall to their knees and General Candy Apple leans against Marshal, Shaky breathing could be heard.

“G-General I- I am so sorry! I-I didn’t mean for this to happen so suddenly! I-I Just didn’t know what e-else to do!!”. Marshal said; Shaking with fear I’ve what he just did. General Candy Apple tells him that he didn’t need to apologize. “I don’t blame you.. for doing this to me Marshal.. You did this… General proud..”. General Candy Apple then went on to explain that after what happened with the Jester; He’s been paranoid and been seeing him everywhere he went.

After telling Marshal one more time he was proud and that he was General now; He slumps and lands on the ground, Having to lose his last breath. Marshal was devastated by what he did and it sent him into a Spiraling depression. Marshal took the rank of General but he wasn’t happy with it.

He did send a letter to China Princess about what happened and that visits may not happen from his end. China Princess spread the word and when Wiser does try to talk to Marshal; He snaps at the Owl and tells him that this was another person he lost and he couldn’t even fix it.

Scarecrow, Tin Man and Lion even tried talking to Marshal but he was just silent to them. A funeral does happen for Candy Apple and Marshal was there but he didn’t say anything in fear he would break down crying.

The Scars he had received from Candy Apple are still there; The one on his Stomach is hidden by bandages but his cheek and eye still have the scars. He can’t see out of the Scarred eye now and he probably is an almost emotionless general due to what happened. People will say nowadays he just has a blank angry face and his attitude will vary.
