The question that left Fish's lips and broke the slightly uneasy silence that had settled between them once they had reached the agent's doorway was both surprising and expected. Abigail had seen enough movies and people in real life playing out that script to know that, sooner or later, she would have been offered the proverbial "nightcap".

The thought in itself almost made her snort out a chuckle, but she held it back, not even allowing herself the smallest grin. She didn't want Fish to think that she was making fun of her. That would have ruined what, so far, had been a great date.

So, instead, she focused on her answer. And, since she had always preferred actions to words, she gave a quick nod and offered her "thank you" in the form of a heated kiss as soon as they were inside.

This wasn't the first time she walked inside her girlfriend's house, even if she had never been there under these specific circumstances. She was used to make a quick job at memorising the insides of buildings, something that came useful both for murdering someone and for pushing them into the right wall to make out.

A shiver ran down her spine as she felt Fish's fingers teasing the flesh of her lower back. Those hands weren't groping her or grabbing at her yet, but their touch was openly hungry, just as the hoarseness in the other woman's tone when she spoke up against her lips, her voice just a little more than a whisper.

"I'll gladly take a cup of coffee...tomorrow morning," Abigail replied, taking a second too long, to let the agent hanging. Her blue eyes lit up with a sly glint and she dropped her arms from where they had settled on Fish's shoulders. "But let me show you what I'm in the mood for now..."

And with that he grabbed her girlfriend's hands, stepping backwards and pulling her along, in the direction of the bedroom. No sense in playing coy or being timid. She had no idea of when Fish's job and her ow nature would get between them, with the inevitable consequences. She would enjoy what she was given in the present, with no regrets of fear.

As for the future, time would tell.

Abigail and Fish were standing by Fish's front door, hovering there with the awkwardness one could feel at the end of a date, when it was time to either part ways or... go inside.

It had been a very good date. So far, every date with Abigail was a very good date. Fish wasn't used to her romantic life going so well, since usually most of her partners got tired of her career (and dedication to it) very fast. But it seemed no last-minute cancellation and no "I'm sorry I have to go, work thing" could deter the cute cook. It was even more impressive that Fish was currently working on a gruesome new case that was taking up most of her time.

"Do you wanna go inside?"

And so, the rest of the evening was sealed. Invited inside, Abigail was quick to take advantage of the offer and all it entailed, pressing Fish against the wall to kiss her. It wasn't their first kiss, but it was their first kiss inside of Fish's apartment, a fact that held many promises. Obviously, she kissed her back.

The embrace was hungry and impatient. Fish's hands had already started exploring Abigail's back, sliding under her shirt. When their lips parted, she asked in a short breath: "want a drink?" hoping of course, Abigail would say no.

~Brief descriptions of the animation process below the cut~

First pass with testing out the placements and eye darts first. I edited his eye shape a lot after this coz it was too big here xD His tattoo isn't properly masked as well yet

Second pass with the new eye shape >u< Testing out his smaller eye in this and making sure the pupil doesn't clip through his smaller eyelids

Third pass, eye squinttsss. I don't use plugins for my animation though, I just brute force it via a combo of position, rotation and puppet pins xD

Fourth pass with more detailed and subtle eye movements. If you squint and stare hard enough you can actually see subtle deformation for his eyelashes to have a smoother animation with the delays and drag

Fifth pass, I gave him a subtle up and down movement with his body as if from breathing but you can't really see it unless you've been staring at it as long as I have xD But it does help subconsciously to not make him feel as static. Bigger head movement for this too where he shifts position. Started parts of his hair animation too. There's puppet pins as well in his hair to do the wave motion for it alongside rotations.

Sixth pass, wheeee he got all his fluffeh hair moving x3 I animated each strand to be on the same timing first then slowly offset the keyframes one by one so that they all move on different timings for it.

Seventh pass, last WIP pass I saved before the completed one. He got yet another expression shift for this. I'm pretty happy with how he's quite flexible in his expressions from just manipulating the puppet pins and my many many layers to built him xD Annddd that's all, thanks for reading >u< / <3

Bonus note, animating in After Effects will eat your PC like nobody's business x'D 46GB just for the damn cache omggggggg It was worth animating Sukuna though~

Hey Syllll! Long time, no chat! I just wanted to get this off my chest before i go ham trying to figure out what i wanna commission from you soon.

I have been reading Undersource for years now, and i think we've both come a long way since then! God, that feels weird to say, i'm not even old enough to drink yet lmao. But! I am old enough to spend my money responsibly now, which is nuts given that my responsible spending is now aimed at getting art of my blorbos LOL.

You've grown as an artist so much since i first started reading- i think that was around... the pirate arc? Not sure! But i do remember the early days of me having discord, during the EKD server category era. But anyways, i know the way you drew our favorite skeletons was different back then, and it's all gotten so much smoother in that time. You're also (at least seemingly) taking way better care of yourself! You've set boundaries, you've set more time for yourself and not the blog, and you're still happily chugging along, after all these years. Not to mention you're working on this side story now, which i'm fairly certain you've been looking forward to for a while.

How's that sleeping though? Do you still have the sleep cycle of an austalian? Can't say i'm any better, im slowly becoming nocturnal again lol. Some things NEVER change.

Anyways. All this to say: im really proud to have been part of this little community for so long. To see the comic and its artist come so far. Even if im not a diehard fan anymore, im glad i can still take a little time every weekend to realize "OH, U/S shoulda updated!" and run over here. I have been taking better care of myself these days! I'm (only sometimes begrudgingly XD) going on daily walks (Pikmin Bloom is really helping with that, I love Pikmin they're so cute), and made some new friends! When I first started this blog I was convinced I had to constantly/frequently produce content, and I time went on I slowly realized that wasn't really viable, so I slowly trimmed down the workloads for better manageability, I'd say it's helped a lot! Even if it may not look like it sometimes XD

There was a point before I adjusted my work schedule where I figured out that I may have been riding a creative burnout for a long while, as when I looked back it felt like my work had begun to visually stagnate. I think at the time I was cramming working on the comic update across only 3 or 4 days (Wednesday/Thursday to Saturday mornings, sometimes down to the wire), with several hours of just constant work (plus any distractions and 3 daily asks) because I was procrastinating so badly X'D I'm still recovering from the visual stagnation, but I'm definitely trying to experiment where I can! I may not be the best at it but I hope I'm improving at least ksjdghLSDGH My current schedule is MUCH more spaced out and much more manageable, spanning Sunday to Friday and broken down into stages for each day, and Saturdays are my designated day off~

As for the side story, it's one I've had around for quite a while and have been excited to finally show off! There were a few people who were interested in it when it was first teased, though I've no idea if they're still around, if they are I hope they're enjoying the story so far as well! 💜

Oddly enough my sleep schedule is no longer on Cthulhu Standard Time SKSDJGHDLG We had a TON of construction going on in the house the past few months and it was way too awkward to sleep with a bunch of strangers either being in or near my room, as well as making a LOT of noise sjkdhgLKSDJG There was a brief section of time where I'd actually go to bed at a "normal" time and get up at like, 9 or 10 am X'D Though it's slowly sneaking it's way into afternoons to 3 or 4 AM after I feed the kitties, kinda like my old college schedule XD

Alright, here we go!

Who Holds the Devil

To be honest, the most recent thing I did for this fic was to look through my plans for the coming five chapters and rearrange a couple of things. Because I noticed that some scenes needed to come in a different order for the story to make logical sense.

I don't have any snippets as such (again, a lot of it is just a series of lines of dialogue xD) but what I can say is that the next chapter will focus on the trial and Ga On's therapy appointment. Though the latter might not be entirely what you all are hoping for x'D

But there will be lots of Elijah, so that's something?

Yo Han and Ga On are also going to start having somewhat more normal conversations again, either in the next chapter or the one after that (it depends on how many scenes I can fit into the next one without it getting too long). That's not to say that things will be fixed or easy by any means, but they're getting closer to finding some sort of new normal.

Whether or not that's a normal they actually want, well — that's another thing entirely.

Admittedly, this is the story I'm the most careful not to give spoilers for, so sorry for being a little less forthcoming. But I will say that as things are planned right now, chapters 43-47 will all contain scenes I've been waiting months — if not years — to write. I am seriously so excited for a lot of them and I can't wait for you all to see them.

Lots of good things to come! :D

Gravitational Pull 2

Oh man, do I feel guilty about this one. Because it's fully plotted. I know exactly what's going to be in it and I'm really looking forward to it since it's going to explore another "what if" scenario that breaks canon, but I'm just... not writing it? For a while there it was because I know this instalment will contain sexual content and that was — and still is — a bit intimidating. But I can't say I've never done it before since I've now written Each Touch. And, in all honesty, the sex in the Gravitational Pull sequel isn't quite as intense, though arguably more ill-advised from a social etiquette standpoint — all Yo Han's fault, obviously.

In the end, I think the main reason I haven't continued — despite wanting to — is lack of time and not having been able to prioritise it. I only have so many hours when I can write and, due to all of my health issues, it's always less than I would like.

That said, I have every intention of continuing and actually have a little bit written already. The fic will continue right after the first one — or the day after, to be more precise, when Yo Han, Ga On, and Jin Joo are in the car heading towards Hyeongsan-dong and the riots.

And here's a little snippet!

Ga On tried his best not to look at Yo Han.

The tension lay thick inside the car, the silence pushing against Ga On's eardrums. Judge Oh, who sat in the back, probably assumed it was because of the crisis at hand — apprehension at the thought of what lay ahead of them — but that was only partially true. Ga On was also struggling with an insistent, nerve-wracking hum of concern, making his spine stiff and throat tight.

Yo Han shouldn't be here. He was still injured — only a day had passed since he'd gotten shot.

No matter how grave the situation was, Yo Han should be at home, resting, not driving them to an area of Seoul that was quickly becoming as chaotic as an active war zone.

Ga On gritted his teeth — until his jaws began to hurt from the strain — and looked down at his hands. They were tightly clenched in his lap, his thumb rubbing restlessly over the other. Perhaps Ga On was being too selfish, but he didn't want Yo Han to put himself in danger like this — not when he wasn't at his best. Ga On could admit that Yo Han hid it well but since Ga On knew to look for it, he could see the subtle delay in Yo Han's movements and how he held himself slightly more rigidly than usual.

Yo Han was still in pain.

He still had a goddamn hole in his stomach but pretended that he didn't.

And Ga On had to play along, since Kang Yo Han couldn't show weakness. The people around them couldn't know that the chief judge was injured. The fact that their opponents did was already bad enough — and was probably why they chose now to try and overthrow him. They didn't think Yo Han would be able to fight back as fiercely — with as much precision — as he normally would.

They were expecting an easy victory.

But, even injured, Yo Han was a force to be reckoned with and, as always, would do whatever it took to win.

Even if it jeopardized his own well-being — and Ga On's peace of mind.

In canon, Ga On obviously had no idea that Yo Han was injured when they were doing all this reckless shit, but here he does. And BOY does he hate it. Which I can't blame him for. But it's also not going to stop Yo Han because, well, Yo Han.

I think I'm just going to have to schedule a time to finish writing this if I want to get it done — preferably sometime soon...

hi !! i absolutely adore your rewriting concepts and i was wondering something since i want to try making a warriors-based story of my own--where did you get your information to determine what you should change from warriors canon? i know theres a lot of anti-indigenous writing styles in og warriors and i definitely want to avoid any of that but so far ive only been able to find one info doc about that kind of thing. i'm mainly asking about naming systems right now though so i guess do you have any advice/resources on how to approach the naming systems in warriors (like the prefix/suffix pattern, the -star thing, etc.)?

Ok, its been a WHILE since I looked into this so I dont really have any links to any info posts, tho u may find some info if u just google! However here are my takes/how Im doing things in RoC!

I changed it from "Clans" to "Orders", I can definitely see the argument that Clans isnt super bad since the term it originates from Scotland with the Scottish Clans, but I have seen many people express discomfort with it since it is also used in regards to Native Americans so I decided to change it, I wouldn't hold it against someone if they didn't tho (at least in my opinion)

With warrior cats names, I couldnt bring myself to completely remove the naming system since it is such and important and cool part of warriors, but I did add some lore and rule changes so it is more separate from Native names! I made it so a cats name is their prefix and their suffix is now a Title which is used like an honorific (ex: Dr. Sir. Ms.), I also added more solid rules as to what each title means and I like the idea of the Title Ceremony being more similar to a Knighting!

I have seen people express dislike towards the star suffix, I dont actually have the info on /why/ its appropriation (if anyone has the info on that , that would be great) but I already really liked the idea of Star being before the name so I just went with it!

Overall I try to take any other inspo from cultures I am comfortable taking from, for me that's Britain, Ireland and Scotland since that's who I descend from (also i not think its a problem if I steal from white ppl LOL)! an example of this is how i think if i do start designing the Order's tools, garments, building structures, food, etc I will borrow from those cultures!

Normally zombies are depicted as hunger-driven brainless monsters, so I thought it was a fun idea to make him a genius-like creature and Doc's assistant/co-worker...Fictional mad scientists are fun. What he thinks about the others, you say? I assume you are talking about all the other egos... Well, let's destroy some hopes and dreams here... Usually this specific character is considered very child-like. Very sweet. Well, in the Fishverse, everyone is sketchy/evil/partially insane besides few rare exceptions. You can bet that ESPECIALLY Robbie is not a nice dude, here. He's like to have an enemy right at home. He cares not for humans and the living. Like...at all. Robbie sees humans as lesser, expendable creatures. Or like cattle, lab rats and walking spare-parts, if you will. He sticks around the Doc and considers him something close to a friend, only because he respects him in his own insanity. (And mostly coz he owes him. Also Henrik is a free access to labs, bodies, tools and interesting stuff to research, which is a plus.) So, in a nutshell: Doc: He's ok to stick around to and sometimes bodyguard if necessary. Mostly coz both him and Robbie love to experiment in/with weird stuff and all the things mentioned above. Birds of feathers and all that stuff... Chase: He couldn't care less for this guy. Dead or alive...It doesn't matter. He doesn't care. Robbie considers his existence only coz he's harmless and he happens to be Doc's best friend. He wouldn't mind to use his limbs as spare parts, but Doc is against this idea. Jackie: Now, he's alive ONLY coz he's Doc's friend. Robbie HATES this guy and would gladly love to dissect him if given the chance to do so.. Jackie is the dumb embodyment of everything Robbie despise. But since -again- Doc would rather keep his few friends alive, he cannot go suddently "missing". Robbie's favourite hobbie is to belittle everythig this guy does, in the hope he will one day explode or something. Give him an excuse! Marvin: Robbie saw this guy only on TV pretty much. Perhaps while he was fighting against the dumb hero. Interesting the fact he can use "magic" and alchemic stuff (this implies he -unlike the hero- does infact has a functioning brain, at least...) and he would be perhaps a nice study subject, but nothing Robbie cannot learn by himself by reading the right books and by making the right researches. Science it's kinda like magic or whatever, after all... To him, Marvin is yet another annoying flamboyant roof-clown with weird clothes, privileges and tastes. Never interact unless forced to. JJ: Robbie never met him before, nor he's aware of his existence, really... If the two were goin to meet, Robbie would consider him nothing more than a generic human. Not worthy of his time, unless he's hiding some experiments-worthy ability... Anti: Now, this is interesting. This creature is not human and it can do peculiar things. Robbie would LOVE to vivisect this thing if it was possible to restrain it somehow. Possessing people from the distance and manipulate reality, sound like interesting stuff to study, is it not? Alright, let's unpack:

Currently, I'm working on 6 sequential artworks for my usual rarepair because I have a month without doing something for them and since the past year I have this thing dated to be posted on 11/11 (tomorrow).

Tho, a few hours ago I finished setting up a cardboard box to be my new photoshoot lightbox... tho I will need to delay the testing of it because I discovered my trusty lightbulb lamp broke u_u

This was quite a sunny weekend! Today the sun was so strong it helped to dry clothes and of course, the glue and painting I applied to the cardboard box I mentioned before x) So, it was a productive weekend with what I can manage in my current creative energy.

You already know what project and why I'm excited about it coff ISAID-

I doubt you want to know how many WIPs I put off for years. LMAOOO, there are too many to count, but if I need to pick one, it's making a Meet the Artist sort of presentation (I have the sketch, but I haven't inked it… since February orz).

My color scheme to go is usually the Magenta/Cyan/Yellow combo, LOL, but I like to pick other colors from this palette!

Show finished recently: Batman Animated Season 01! It is one of my oldest visual inspos, with the clear sharp grimdark + art deco mix that characterizes the cast and mature themes it shows. Show started recently: Scooby Doo Mystery Inc; I'm taking so many screenshots because the backgrounds with those grunge textures and abandoned feel is hella rad!

Comfort characters: I've been with the same rascals you know for three years right now. Four? LOL It's difficult for me to get attached this hard and for a long time to fictional characters. Though I can't call him a comfort character, I enjoyed the Penguin on Batman Animated! There was an EP where they let him show such an awkward and gentlemanly side that I just WANTED TO SQUISH HIM.

Books read: AFTER THREE YEARS I FINISHED KING'S DANSE MACABREEEEE. I saved lots and lots of QUOTES I will be citing and using in my work for decades to come MUHAHAHA coff I want to start reading NEXT YEAR Frankenstein: I left it half there idk why so, I will need to start over. It's for the better.

Re-reading/Rewatching: in my bookcase, I always have The Little Prince and Lovecraft Anthologies (quite the contrast, eh?). Now if we go very personal-intimate: Neverending Story will always be absolutely groundbreaking to me, it really deserves its in-book title of "the book of all books". In the movie department, I'll never get tired of Scooby Doo's animated movies between 1990-2000s, the animation and storytelling were top! About the rewatch/re-reading effects mmm I think it affects me but to certain games: movies and series are unilateral in interaction, with games the interaction depends on you and I admit even if I like a game with all my might… there's always a level or part of the story I loathe to do again orz

Collecting wise: I never was into it until robot hell tackled me and it made me brave to spend and be more versed in buying this or that figures and toys was quite an experience. Out of that… I print official artworks and plaster them in collages around my journal, that counts? xDU I don't live in a place where merch is easy to get. And yes I draw fanart so technically I printed my own merch too skdfhskjdhf

I personally see my art better as stickers and postcards in format… I never designed art for t-shirts and such… or even tattoos idk, I feel a tad uncomfortable in general to take my art in such bold ways? Something rare because I worked before doing logotypes and such mmmm

I'm stupidly multifacetic x'D From drawing traditionally and digitally with inks, watercolors, and acrylics to then sculpting with clay, and cold porcelain to then designing maquettes for packaging (I'm learning to use the cutting plotter) without counting baby steps knowledge on game coding… I would LOVE to sew my own plush toys but %D I don't have that level of patience… same with SCULPTING IN 3D??? Idk, that's witchcraft to me!

… Too many hobbies you can guess from what I said before this point HAHAHA Aside from character design and goofy worldbuilding mmm Board game design? Big dream of mine.

Something new I learned: using the cutting machine!!! Was like going back to my Illustrator era roots sdkfjhsdjf On a personal level… I turned back to my witchy side and created my first magic servitor, my first spell on the 31 of October and I'm excited to try more things during rituals!

I think I have enough of this year? Even if at times I feel like it won me over… it wasn't so bad. But I need to take action in setting more habits I left aside like walking more frequently and respecting my sleep schedule (I slipped bad so many times in the year, I think that's why I'm feeling so sleepy lately).

Unfortunately, things are still pretty rough but I'm hanging in there :)

🤡 What’s a line, scene, or exchange you’ve written that made you laugh?

I'm not sure if there is such a line, to be honest. Mainly because most of the things I write aren't all that funny, but also because it takes a lot for me to laugh when it's my own writing. Because I already know the punchline before the joke's even started, so it's just not that exciting. If that makes sense?

That said, Yoon Sa Wol from Black Knight is an absolute hoot to write and there is one exchange in particular that definitely makes me want to cackle whenever I think about it. It's when he's talking to 4-1 (a coworker of his) and they accidentally stumble onto the subject of whether or not Sa Wol could have sex with 5-8 (the dude he is definitely interested in having sex with) and the following happens:

All things considered, it didn't seem like a bad idea at all. 4-1 didn't seem to agree. She gave him a flat look, as if the answer should be obvious. "He'd eat you for breakfast." Sa Wol paused for a beat but, really, the only thing he could think to say was: "I mean, wouldn't that be the whole point?" 4-1 let out a choked noise that sounded outright painful.

SA WOL, NO.

But also, kudos on being so goddamn shameless.

❌ What’s a trope you will never write?

I'm not sure if there is one? Because, sure, I'm not personally into mpreg or A/B/O but I can't say I'll never write them. Like, if someone gave me enough money to write those tropes, I probably would. We get money where we can in this economy xD

I think the closest I come to a complete "I refuse to write this" are the things I find triggering or just don't agree with on a moral level. So I'd have a hard time glorifying abuse, for example, or write something that involves incest or non-con between a romantic couple. The kind where transgressions are eventually forgiven or brushed aside because "they actually love them and it was just a mistake" and that kind of stuff.

There's a reason why I'm so determined to call out Yo Han's bullshit in my Devil Judge fics, for example, and why Moon Jo is such a lovesick simp in my Strangers From Hell fic. I find them to be incredibly fascinating as characters, but I admit I would never be able to write them doing something along those lines. They both skirt the line from time to time — which is sort of the point in some ways — but I try to criticise the behaviour rather than excuse or glorify it.

👀 Tell me about an up and coming wip please!

I kind of mentioned all of them when I did the WIP Tag Game not too long ago, so you can see what they are and read about them if you look at this tag right here!

But aside from that, I can say that I'm currently trying to edit and post chapter six of A New Dawn (Begins With Us), and, after that, I'm going to try and edit chapter 3 of The Right Set of Circumstances, and, after that, I... well, I don't know x'D I'll either try to edit Thou Shalt Not Covet or maybe I'll allow myself to write chapter 42 of Who Holds the Devil.

I'm kind of holding that chapter hostage right now since I HATE editing and would much rather write — it's just so much more fun. But if I only wrote and didn't edit, I would never post anything, so I kind of have to force myself to edit from time to time, too.

And it's extra annoying right now since I'm so feverish and that just makes editing ten times worse for some reason?

So yeah. I have a lot going on right now in terms of WIPs and it's kind of beginning to feel like a second job, not going to lie x'D

Fanfic Writer Emoji Ask

I'm once again writing Wen Kexing propaganda... (unfortunately for a very different tournament than the previous one)

First of all, just feel the need to point out that he is to date my favorite danmei character overall. There are those characters that just feel like they were made for you, and Wen Kexing is one of those for me.

Reasons I love him:

He is so, so funny. It's difficult to describe but he and his boyfriend are a whole circus. (As I've said before you just gotta read the book and see Wen Kexing, the guy canonically so powerful the only person who can stand up to him is a literal immortal, act a part of a poor bullied wife.)

He is not only gay but extremely out and proud about it. And unlike many danmei characters, he's not a "single-target sexuality" type, he was already gay (sleeping around with male courtesans and such) before his love interest showed up. (Also at some point an enemy is attacking him and WKX thinks that the guy fights as if he stole his wife - and feels very wronged because he has zero interest in wives X'D)

He is an extremely feral dude underneath his clown exterior. He ate his dad's corpse to survive when he was 9. At certain point, he maintained a personal bubble of three meters by murdering anyone who came closer to him than that (except his adoptive daughter/little sister, more on her later). My favorite description of him includes the lines: "[…] he was wearing a bright red robe. At that moment, no one could tell whether it had been red to begin with, or had been dyed with fresh blood." There's a scene where he decapitates a man with his bare hand and then licks the blood off. Also most of the events of the book are set in motion by him so he can avenge his parents (the death toll of his plan is in the literal hundreds but it was very poetic justice and we love him for that). Also at a certain point he bites his boyfriend's wrist until it bleeds. (Dw though his bf is chill with this. They have a very healthy relationship for two mass murderers. And I think “And just like that, they fell asleep in each other’s arms, steeped in the smell of blood” is the most romantic line ever written.)

At the same time, he has this quietly caring side to him that is just so 🥺 He and his bf will rib and playfight each other all day and then Wen Kexing will shut up and just hold him through his chronic pain issue. He also brings him clothes so he wouldn't get cold and puts food into his bowl and helps treat his injuries! (Even that time he bit him, btw, he treated the injury afterwards.) And his bf is not the only person WKX cares about! He also has an adopted daughter/little sister whom hes been single-handedly taking care of since he was 12 and she was a baby. (The reason I put it as daughter/little sister is because he himself describes it as being a bit of both. Understandably considering he's not old enough to be her father but has raised her.) And btw his teenage single-parenting was happening in the Ghost Valley which is basically a settlement where the worst of criminals are exiled to. And the book explicitly states that thanks to him, she was able to retain a bit of childish innocence even in such a place. And since we're talking about kids, I must also mention that he and his bf also have a kid they are raising together. Who, despite being orphaned in the beginning of the book, grows up super well-adjusted thanks to his scary-ass dads shifus protecting him and taking care of him. Like, do you love sunshine kid+dangerous dad dynamic? What if I tell u there are two dangerous dads ;D

Malewife. Canonical malewife. I'll just put this quote here: “[…] When one eats, one should eat something handmade by a human being. It has soul and flavour to it, and it might even have love…” He cast a flirtatious look at Zhou Zishu, and said, “When you taste it later tonight, you’ll be able to tell.” ...and add that. Zhou Zishu was able to tell.

Also WKX fell in love with his love interest without seeing his face even once (ZZS is a former spy and up to the middle of the book always wears a disguise). When Wen Kexing actually saw his face, he blurted out “Have i ever mentioned that i like men?” .................Despite having kissed the guy 20 chapters before that. And having flirted the whole time.

Lastly I want to once again say that I really like how his trauma is portrayed in the novel. Because there’s this trend in media with superpowered characters where their trauma responses are portrayed through their powers, but Wen Kexing? This super OP killing machine whose traumas and living situation are so outlandish and unrelatable? He just dissociates like a regular person when remembering traumatic events. And I think its more connecting than any 'powers go out of control' plot could ever be.

Out of the three, Embrace is the boldest AND the most affectionate one-

He won't hesitate to pull you into his lap and hug you from behind, as he whispers you lovely things on your ear like a dork he is.

Notably and honestly, he treated you like royalty,,, Even though he was royal himself-

Victor would merely look at you with concerned but always glad to embrace you as if there was no tomorrow.

It reassured him a lot, knowing that you're still in his arms safely.

If he cannot carry you when sitting, he would gently place a hand on your hand or your knee.

It took months to find out how to make him flustered-

Until you learned that he gets red whenever you both linger for eye contact.

He sometimes would faint if you get too close when doing so.

How is the avatar going to be included in ur story? I know that he won’t be that much included but u know I’m very curious. Like not just aang as the avatar but the avatar and his history yk. Because frankly he doesn’t have that much of a purpose anymore. You can spoil me under the cut if ur willing to do so.

Well, he's already part of the story X'D I suppose you already know that? But I have no idea how far you've read, so...

Believe it or not, Aang will have a pretty big role in Gladiator, namely in Part 3. It won't be the starring role, nope, I am a firm believer of keeping my two favorite dorks at the center of everything in Gladiator, and Aang can be as powerful as he wants but he can't be powerful enough to change that xD still, he will absolutely have a big role to play throughout Part 3, when things will start to take a very different turn in the story. I admit, having written a fair amount of Part 3 by now, it has been interesting to transition into writing Aang so much more often (and a lot of characters around him) because it has happened kind of seamlessly. It almost doesn't feel like he wasn't around for the majority of Gladiator xD but anyway, Aang will be relevant and he will have a significant role to play in the future of this story, absolutely :D

As for the Avatars, all in all... :'D that's EVEN more fun for you to bring up because I suspect I'll have an unexpected take on Aang and his relationship with his past lives. I really haven't seen this done before, maybe someone has done it and I have no idea, but it's a slightly more complicated take than I've seen between any Avatars and their past lives in ANY canon content, be it Korra, Aang, Roku, Kyoshi... There's some strange connections between my story and canon, and that's where the complications in the relationship with the Avatars come from.

Anyway, Aang and the Avatars won't take over the whole story, that's for sure. I wouldn't stand for it xD but they will have their own role to play, and most importantly, Aang will have to reason with his own role as an Avatar in a world that is so far out of balance that so many people seem to think it's completely hopeless to try and fix it. Fortunately, not everyone sees it that way... and fortunately, he still has plenty he can do for the world. Still, once again, he's not the headliner here and he won't be in the future, either xD it's slightly curious to write a story with a "chosen one" sort of character, blessed with super powers beyond what anyone else can do, and relegate him to a secondary role. I've never been fond of the "chosen one" character concepts to begin with... so exploring what it's like to shove said character to the sidelines while other people take the wheel has been a rather interesting exercise. All in all, I've really enjoyed writing Aang in Part 3, far more than I anticipated I would, and I really look forward to you guys seeing it in the future :D
