my absolute FAVORITE background moment for Tumble comes from the 2019-2020 U.S. tour cast, because when i saw this i swear i felt my heart break 😭 Cameron Edris (who i saw in January of 2020) played this SO well: Tumblebrutus, instead of being part of the group who went and goaded Grizabella, was actually the first one that she approached. He was kind of by himself, but as soon as she reached out, he flinched back, and cowered away from her 😭

and i'm adding this as another favorite moment bc it happened later in the show: after "Memory", Grizabella again moved closer to Tumble's side of the stage, and even as Victoria reached out to her, Tumble was also reaching out to her, and then he was the first one she touched after Victoria 😭 (Sean played it the same way when i saw him, so i'm excited to see how Brendan plays this moment!)

literally any of Kade Hughes' bow moments in the Asia tour... my beloved... my favorite tumble... the sweetest...
