HAPPY 10th ANNIVERSARY BIG HERO 6

It's amazing that it's been a decade since this great movie. I know that by Disney's standards it's not the most perfect movie, but it marked a very important space for me...the characters, the moments, its message.

Thank you Big Hero 6, for providing good memories and still being my favorite movie today ❤️

so, what’s baymax worried about?

not revealing, *however*, in the movie, when they’re in fred’s mansion, baymax reveals his findings after scanning callaghan

on his screen, if you look *very* close, it lists three medical diagnoses

1) high risk of cardiovascular disease

2) acute stress disorder

3) high emotional instability

cant believe disney gave us that vital, albeit, angsty information yet never used it.

again, not spoiling the comic, but do with this information what you will.

ALSO, we truthfully have no idea why SFIT combusted, we know that Hiro thinks it’s callaghan, but I highly doubt he would endanger literally innocent students, most being his who he’s grown to adore as his own, if he had daggers for Alistair only.

I do think it was an attack on the student body, but I wonder which past student has a venom towards SFIT and its faculty and students? Obake perhaps?

There’s no proof of this but can you imagine if Callaghan and Krei were like genuinely friends before the whole Abigail thing? That would actually be so tragic.

Like in the series Krei says that he didn’t have many friends growing up, can you imagine Robert being his first friend like ever. Krei was practically raised by money and doesn’t really have a scientific education like Callaghan does. Callaghan being the person to interest him and show him how technology is the future, basically inspiring the creation of Krei tech.

I do imagine Krei’s capitalistic ideals definitely being a constant wall of conflict in their friendship but it still wasn’t enough to ruin their relationship.

After the Abigail thing, an accident that was definitely Krei’s fault, tearing the only meaningful requited relationship he has down the center. What hurts more is the think about that maybe the only reason Callaghan even allowed Abigail to be a test subject in that experiment was because he trusted Krei. Or to think that Abigail was familiar/close with him because her dad was.

After they stopped being friends Krei really did try to apologize and salvage whatever relationship he had left. Maybe they wouldn’t be friends but they could have mutual respect for each other. Obviously that didn’t happen so Krei just stopped trying and came to the conclusion that he’s lost Callaghan forever.

You know I wonder why they never adapted The Everwraith into the movie or the show it was a very prominent antagonist for the team in the comics so I wonder why-

So last night I had a really cool dream where, after the Macy’s parade was over, they showed a ton of cartoon specials and one of them was a Big Hero 6 one—apparently Callaghan was encouraged to turn the Yokai persona into a superhero in exchange for a reduced sentence, which Hiro is against for the understandable reasons.  It even guest-starred Static Shock complete with original VA and I was SO stoked and then I woke up. :|

So have a messy sketch of the shot that stood out the most to me, think the orange and white was supposed to help signify that Callaghan isn’t playing the villain this time.  Also I love it when I’m looking for a specific shot (in this case, the back of Hiro’s helmet and costume) and the internet decides to be helpful.  Thanks, internet.

Now to decide if I’m gonna have to write this myself....
