Some canon divergencies from SNW for my portrayal of Spock. I'm putting it under a cut because it could be seen as negativity, although it's not intended to be.

Spock didn't steal Enterprise. April told him to carry out the mission to get La'an.

Although he has some confusing feelings for Chapel, he hasn't acted on them and he doesn't treat her differently, ignore her, or act extremely awkward with her because of them. (If a relationship develops through rping, I'm fine with that, but I don't want to go the route they went in canon.)

The human thing in 2.05 didn't happen (or it happened differently, and we can talk that out for threads). Spock still comes to understand his mother better and he and T'Pring take a break due to difficulties during the dinner, but not because he was human. (I just can't make sense of how he acted as a human in the show, and would have to do it differently if we need that plot point to happen for a thread.)

I'm keeping his hyperfixation on the lute, though.

honestly the funniest thing is coming across ppl who are like "bones is so mean to spock 😡😡😡" like spock doesn't go out of his way to be just as big a cunt to mccoy??? it's their LOVE LANGUAGE!!! some of y'all didn't grow up watching tv shows with old broads and old queen-coded men being as cunty as possible to each other OUT OF LOVE. spock spends half his shift on the bridge coming up with mean things to say to his dr the moment mccoy flounce onto the bridge to flirt with jim (affectionate) and spock (derogatory and bloody, there will be no survivors except for them, THEY'RE having a BLAST).

listen when the cards are down they will be thoughtful and worried and touch each other SO gently and fight over who gets to die for each other. all of that is the floor they're standing on. they KNOW that. but GOSH in the meantime they're BOTH having an absolute blast bullying the shit out of each other, bless <3

Spock furrows his brow slightly. While there is no indication of emotion in her words, as is typical for the commander and part of why he believes they work well together, the question itself implies that he's misstepped somehow.

"I was... attempting to attain thorough readings. The natural interference in the planet's atmosphere caused more difficulty than I anticipated. I had to continuously recalibrate my instruments to ensure accuracy."

He pauses, realizing that this explanation is not necessary--she would not consider any of these things a reason to question him. "I did go over Doctor M'Benga's recommended time of exposure by twelve minutes and forty seconds," he admits. "However, I was completing a task. I would have communicated this if I had been able."

I've been thinking of ways to sell digital stuff like stickers and paper dolls online, but there's one problem: because of where I live, I can't seem to find a way to actually get money from people all around the world. Which sucks, but it's not what this post is about.

So, after some thinking, I had an idea.

Here's a link to a pdf file with a Spock paper doll printout. It's free to download, just don't resell either the file or the doll (if I'm not getting paid for it, neither is anyone else, lol). Or you can download the pictures directly from this post.

And here's the catch: if you can, consider donating to a charity of your choice. My personal favourite is cancer research and treatment (my cousin had cancer and she lives because of these things, so), but you can choose for yourself, obviously. Also, you can take a look at Sera's post, where help is really needed. And no, you don't have to make a donation, especially if you don't have enough money. Actually, please don't donate money in such a case. If you feel uneasy about it, you probably can do something nice for someone you care about instead. Walk your spoonie neighbor's dog. Call your grandparents. Brush your cat. Take care of yourself. Or, if you're a generally healthy person, maybe try donating blood (if you haven't).

This way, you can have a Spock doll, and I can believe I've done something good (it's been long since I was able to support any charity consistently, so this is a nice way out). Everyone wins.
