He didn't really mean what he had said, in a way. Dream loved you, you were his weakness. Just maybe he went about it the wrong way with threatening you unintentionally. He didn't think you'd actually run off to the badlands with Sam and the others, but you did.

Maybe that was why he started walking with a slight spring in his step when he saw the badlands members slowly moving back to the smp. Bad and Antfrost, then Skeppy and Sam. Where the faction went you were sure to follow.

While commissioning his prison he brought you up to Sam having not seen your face at all.

"They're around," Sam hesitated slightly.

"Cmon Sam. You can give me a better answer than that," Dream frowned.

After a moment of silence Sam glanced over at the green individual. "No, no I can't. Now are we building this or not?"

That frown stayed on his lips, it stayed after they finished the prison, it stayed after they found that dumb egg, it stayed when Tommy beat him, it stayed when he got thrown into the prison of his very own design. But now the frown had evolved into fits of unchecked rage.

How dare you avoid him for this long. How dare the others not say where you are.

For days he hounded Sam, the poor warden listening to Dream spit and shout curses and obscenities his way. He ended up giving un two weeks after Dream's tantrum started.

He was ready. Oh he was so ready. Whenever Sam came by Dream had the perfect thing to say to him. Was it petty to think of expertly crafted curses? Perhaps. But he didn't care.

When the lava parted today Dream knew something was up. Usually the warden just fed him from the top, shuffling around like a rat above him.

He flinched. Visibly recoiled when he made eye contact with you. It wasn't the fact that he wasn't expecting you, nor was it because he hadn't seen you in so long. No. His eyes trailed over your silhouette watching the red that accented you.

It only got bolder as you approached. The red that had been distant and murky from far away was now bright and almost dripping from your form. Something was wrong.

"You wanted to see me?" You asked coldly

"I've missed you," Dream admitted quietly. "What's with all the red?"

You looked at yourself. "Oh right, nothing for you to worry your pretty head about,"

A moment of awkward silence as you stared each other down.

"Right-" he had a bad feeling. "Aren't you going to ask why I'm in here? When I'll escape?"

You shrugged moving to study the walls of his cell. "Nope, not really. I don't really care if you do or not. I've got more important things to worry about?"

"Like what?" What could possibly be more important than him on the server.

You grinned slyly back at him. "You'll see. Maybe," then you began walking back towards the exit. "Anyways my time is precious I'm bouncing," you sighed.

"Wait,"

You looked back.

"Maybe since it's been a while since you've been here you should go stay with Punz," there was a hinted undertone to his sentence but neither of you spoke upon it.

Dream watched the barrier come up and you begin to step on the platform. "I already am staying with Punz. Don't worry, we've got plans,"

And just like that you were gone. Dream didn't get a chance to apologize, not that he really would, and something weird was going on.

He waited for the lava to fall again but it didn't, instead Sam let you leave and then shortly returned. Dream watched with distaste as the warden approached.

"That's the last time they'll be coming in here," he warned.

"And why the fuck is that?" Dream snapped.

"The eggpire gives me bad vibes and I don't want them here,"

"Eggpire?"

Sam looked down at Dream. He didn't deserve to know anything going on.

"Yeah brainwash cult I don't know. Anyways throw your clock out again and see what happens," Sam warned before leaving.

Eggpire? Brainwash? CULT? What the fuck had you gotten yourself into? This new information sent Dream into a slight panic. He needed to escape, like, yesterday.

Plans needed to change. First priority? Saving you from your damn self. Second priority? Putting you somewhere he'll never have to worry about your safety again.

random eggpire related headcanons:

being a nature spirit/fairy, hannah is especially weak against iron weapons. unlike normal wounds that can stop bleeding and heal by themselves, iron-made wounds require a health potion to stop bleeding.

the egg would sometimes talk to ant in a voice that wasn’t its own. a voice laced with icing and velvet. the first time ant heard it again, he cried. he still doesn’t know if it was truly red, or just the egg trying to pull him deeper into its clutches.

the night before the banquet, fundy dreamt. he dreamt of red and vines and soup that poisoned you once you drank it. he dreamt of sacrifice and loss and betrayal, but by the time he woke up, all he could remember was the familiar-sounding laughter of a certain demon.

skeppy, being a diamond golem, is naturally pretty resistant against lava. (the melting point of diamond is 4,000+ C, and the typical temperature of lava is 1,200 C.) bad didn’t think that pushing him into lava would kill him. the egg had other plans.

the reason sapnap didn’t show to the banquet is because quackity had warned him not to go in the form of an anonymous letter. quackity may not have been on speaking terms with him anymore, but he couldn’t bear the thought of sapnap having to bear witness to the hollow shell of what was once his father.

puffy, hannah, and eret helped each other make their dresses for the banquet. foolish and hbomb joined them for moral support.

while punz was originally drawn to the eggpire for power, that isn’t why they stayed. the egg’s promise to them was much like ant’s, in which it promised them to bring back a dead loved one. the egg never stated which one (it hurts punz to think that there are more than one) but when a giant frog statue suddenly appears on the smp, he Knows.

only ant knows where skeppy stayed during the time they were possessed. he didn’t, for a long time, watching as his friend would disappear from the world for weeks at a time. while organizing for the banquet, he finds a small alcove dug underneath the egg, alongside some of skeppy’s things. he doesn’t tell bad.

whenever she’s around any of the eggpire members, eret gets the biggest sense of deja vu. they don’t quite know why, nor do they know why they cried so hard when foolish sacrificed himself for them. hbomb and fundy had to help hold her up, or else she would’ve certainly collapsed to the vine-covered ground then and there.

purpled brought an iron sword to the banquet, just in case. he didn’t expect to use it. he didn’t want to use it. by the time he’s rushed out of the banquet hall, though, the iron blade’s been coated in sap-like blood.

A/n - this is formatted slightly different to usual as I really don't have much time or motivation to write at the moment, sorry.

Awesamdude:

Sam was a big fan of holding hands.

He tended to grip your hand tightly in his, not too tight that it was cutting off circulation or hurting you, but in a firm grip so that either of you could accidentally let go.

Sometimes he would mess with your fingers as well or simply bring your hand up to place a chaste kiss on the back of it.

Holding your hand helped to ground him and focus on you rather than the negative thoughts that came with being the warden of the prison.

Badboyhalo:

With how excited the demon could get sometimes, you had to choose your moments of when to hold his hand because otherwise, you might just end up being accidentally dragged or lifted off the ground.

This led to the two of you deciding that linking your pinkie fingers would be a lot easier than the full-on handhold.

This would mean that you didn't have to worry about Bad waving his hands in excitement as it was easy to slip your pinkie out of his.

During the night though, Bad would always hold your hands in his wholly as a way to make up for the daytime compromise.

This demon boy was soft for you and would do anything to keep you happy.

And Skeppy of course.

Dreamwastaken:

Dream likes to grip your hand tight in his.

He likes to entwine his fingers between yours and absentmindedly stroke his thumb across the back of your hand.

He tends to mess with your fingers as well and if you wear rings that can spin, then he ends up spinning them around.

If he doesn't thread his fingers with yours and instead holds your hand 'normally', he ends up squeezing your hand, well mainly your knuckles, causing them to sometimes click or for you to let go of his hand. Sometimes he can squeeze a bit too hard which he always apologises for.

He finds it reassuring to hold your hand. Whether that be in crowded spaces so he doesn't lose you or in the comfort of your own home as a reminder that you're there for him and he's there for you.

Dream XD:

Dream XD didn’t understand the concept of handholding at first, just like other human concepts.

This just meant you could show him multiple different ways to hold his hand.

Because this man is so tall, you tended to hold one of his hands in both of your's because his hands are so big. I mean, he is a giant god.

This would lead to you holding onto his fingers rather than trying to grab his full hand because you simply couldn’t.

After a while, the god began to understand the gesture as a form of affection and started to offer his hand to you for you to hold all of the time.

If this immortal being could blush you bet he was.

Foolish Gamers:

Foolish was never big on the whole holding hands thing, but then again, he was a 20ft giant whose significant other was at a mere mortals height.

In fact, his hand is the entire height of your body when he is his usual size.

On the occasions that he has a mortal size for a long enough period of time for the two of you to actually hold hands, Foolish tends to just like pinkies, or two fingers rather than your entire hand.

This is usually because he is trying to carry lots of stuff at any given time. Just because he's human-size doesn't mean that he'll stop working or building.

On the off chance that he's not pushing himself too hard, he will hold your hand fully in his for about 5 maybe 10 minutes at the most before complaining that his hand was too warm and sweaty and ultimately letting go.

Georgenotfound:

George loved holding your hand.

Because of how constipated with feelings he could be, George liked to show you that he did care about you by holding your hand whenever he could.

It didn't matter to him how you held hands, just that you did and that you knew that he was trying to tell you that he care about you.

A lot of the time, it would end up with George lacing his fingers with yours so that if you were busy typing or editing, you could still sort of use that hand on the keyboard.

Also, it was his favourite way to hold your hand.

Jack Manifold (platonic):

Jack doesn't have an aversion to holding hands with his friends, but he just prefers not to.

However, because the two of you had known each other for so long, Jack knew that you liked to hold someone's hand as a comfort thing.

Also so you could try and steal the person's rings or bracelets they had on. Well, ‘borrow’ because you would always end up giving their belongings back.

Anyway, Jack would just let you grab onto and hold his hand.

Whether you would lace your fingers with his, or hold his hand fully in his, grab onto his arm with one hand as well, or just slippy lace a couple of fingers together.

Jack was okay with holding your hand.

And as long as you were happy then Jack was happy.

Karl Jacobs:

This man's love language was touch so you bet he would take any opportunity to hold your hand.

He would try to hold both of your hands at any point in time, even placing his hands over the back of yours and lacing his fingers if you were working on anything just so he could hold onto you.

Karl’s favourite way to hold your hand was to lace his fingers with yours or to hold it normally so that he would mess with any rings or bracelets you were wearing that day.

He would always bring the back of your hand up to his face and kiss on the back of it to show his appreciation for you.

Niki Nihachu:

Niki loved to hold your hand. It was one of her favourite things to do.

She would always lace her fingers with yours, letting you mess with her fingers or vice versa.

She tended to wear rings on her fingers and would always let you mess with them, whether it was just you wanting something to play with or if you needed to fiddle with something because you were too anxious or overstimulated by your surroundings.

Niki knew what it was like and would always give your hand a comforting squeeze in so that you knew she was still there.

C!Skeppy is actually a much more fleshed out character than a lot of people realize, because even though there are only around 6-7 lore streams that feature him as a prominent character, it still gives us a lot to work with. He’s also arguably the most morally good out of the entirety of the Badlands, which is often overlooked because he’s not exactly the nicest. 

Here’s what we know about his character: In the early days of the SMP, he defended L’manberg as an outsider, viewing Dream’s war on them as tyranny. He tends to lash out only when provoked: he only wanted to burn the disc when Tommy antagonized him, he only hated the Egg when it invaded his home. He’s extremely brash and reckless (breaking the obsidian outside the Egg) but holds Bad above all else. 

It’s also important to note that Skeppy, after seeing the conflicts the Badlands were pulled into, wanted to leave them. He doesn’t hold any grudges on the SMP and usually doesn’t care to be involved in war, even if the rest of the Badlands are. However, if Bad is the one asking, Skeppy will stand by his side--he was neutral in the Battle of the Lake until Bad was framed, and then completely turned against Tommy despite agreeing with him before. 

Skeppy’s relationship to Bad is, of course, the crux of his character, and as the story progresses, Skeppy becomes increasingly more insecure in their friendship. They considered forming their own faction before the Badlands was created, and Skeppy had argued with Tommy that Bad’s loyalty to him was stronger than Tubbo’s loyalty to Tommy. But after Bad was influenced by the Egg, Skeppy started to doubt their friendship, and that doubt still exists in Red!Skeppy, who is under the impression that Bad abandoned him. And that's a tragedy in itself--Skeppy and Bad both believe theyve lost a soulmate, when in actuality they sacrificed themselves for each other.

There's no point to this post, I just wanted to let out my love for c!Skeppy because he's the prime example of a dsmp character who doesn't need to have an active plot or many lore streams to establish a strong, solid character for himself, and one that people can empathize with.

Welcome to a new episode of Sapphire Rambles, today's topic being:

Just as c!Tommy is a simbol of Care, c!Fundy is a simbol of Love.

Let me explain.

(There are going to be 3 principal points to this rant, and each of them is gonna end with a Tl;dr in purple, so it's easier to follow)

If you're a regular in the Fundy tag (or in the Ranboo tag since this argument gets often brought up in relation to C!Ranboo), you might have already seen some rants talking about how C!Fundy is an incredibly loving person, willing to chase after the people he care about if he sees the tiniest hint that mending their relationship is possible, even if they hurted him in the past.

Yeah you are going to see the same argument again here in the first part, but I promise this gets interesting

This became more clear after the Break, when he decided to try and mend his relationship with Philza and Ranboo even if they weren't at all on good terms at the moment, but he thought it was worth it so he tried and will keep on trying anyways, but we have examples of Fundy's really loving and forgiving nature back to the Revolutionary era

Everyone knows about Eret's betrayal I'm sure, but one thing people seem to skim over is how it effected Fundy, because there's the really high possibility that he was the one who was hurted the most by it.

For everyone who has some spotty memory (me too sometimes fam), Eret was the closest person to Fundy at the time, the two being really close friends, so the betrayal must have had a terrible effect on his emotional health, but you know how it went?

It went that Fundy was the first person to reach out to Eret and start to forgive his actions. Fundy always valued his friendships above the side he was in. So even tho he was a L'manburg abitant, he still thought of Eret as a dear friend to him and did his best to not make them feel alone or isolated

There are really few examples of people Fundy actually has an issue with, but even here Hate is a strong and mostly wrong word to apply, for example:

- Wilbur: as we are shown in the interactions with Ghostbur, Fundy didn't hate Wilbut for how he neglected and patronized him, it made him upset (as we saw when Ghostbur called him "his little champion" and he ran away) but he never hated Wilbur for that. The only thing he didn't forgive him was deciding to die, leaving him. And his issue with Ghostbur is not aknowledging or taking responsability. But he doesn't hate Ghostbur, he can talk to him in a civil manner even if the Ghost pretty much upsets him. And about Wilbur? Fundy loved Wilbur, the thing that hurted him was he taking the decision to definitivly leave him.

- Technoblade: even before Doomsday, the correct word of Fundy's feelings towards Techno has never been Hate, but Fear. A lot of people seemed to miss this point about the Butcher Army as a whole, but they weren't move by hate, even if they tried to make it look like they were. They were terrified. On their way to Techno's house, it was more clear than ever that they were TERRIBLY afraid of Techno. The Butcher army was never a movement of hate, but a bad reaction to a traumatic event that scarred them with fear. Also, after the Break? Fundy understands why Techno wanted L'manburg gone, so he doesn't hate him for that.

- Jschlatt: if you followed Fundy's pov, it won't be a surprise me saying that Fundy doesn't hate Jschlatt, but it may be news to other people, since one of the last interaction between the two was... anything but positive. I still shiver at the caravan scene. But even after all he's done, Fundy can't bring himself to completly hate Jschlatt, even if he did a lot of horrible things and was a horrible person, he still doesn't hate him. Fundy took with him Jschlatt's sword, keeping it as a relic and a memory of the man.

There is no one in the server, probably not even Dream Himself, that Fundy full-on hates. No matter how much they hurted him and everyone else, he just. Doesn't hate them. He's able to see the humanity in everyone, even if he wishes he could just hate people that wronged him. He was always forgiving and loving, these two aspects of him becoming even more prominent after his Break.

Tl;dr: Fundy is a character incredibly full of love and almost always willing to forgive and mend relationships with people he cares about at the moment he sees the possibility.

Now that I got the part most talked about out of the way, I'm taking the second tangent. Let's talk about Self-love.

It's not news the fact that there are really few characters, if not actually none of them, who love themselves. Might it be for trauma or for guilt, none of the characters actually love themself and act out of self-love.

Sometimes there are characters that act for themselves, but that is different from acting out of self-love.

Acting for themselves means doing something to achieve an objective that you want, for example: Eret's betrayal.

Eret betrayed L'Manburg becayse he was promised the role of King of the SMP by Dream, she acted out of her wish for power and control. That's an example of acting for yourself.

Acting out of self-love means doing something with the only cardinal reason being that it's good for you, taking care of yourself doing something that makes you feel better and healthier. That is acting out of self-love.

And, if you look at the server, you can easily see that no one has ever done that, expect for one single time.

The closest wrong thing you might be thinking off right now is when Tommy escaped from exile, but that was not an act driven by self-love. Sure, Tommy saved himself and went towards a healthier mindset, but what drove him towards that direction was not a desire to be better and good for himself, but rage towards Dream and a desire to be back to his family and friends.

You know what the only act that could possibly be out os self-love is?

Fundy going away for a years and a half, taking a break from everyone

Think about it for a second. Why did he do that? Let's start putting away the wrong possibilities:

- Doing it for someone: Fundy at the moment was heavily spiraling towards paranoia, wanting to be a villain to make everyone hate him. If that was his mindset at the time, why would he even want to get a break for anyone?

- Having a second cause: what second cause could there be for a choice like getting away from an unhealthy situation to heal? The only second reason a choice like this could have is healing to help someone else heal when you're feeling better, but refer to the last point

- ... that's virtually it

The only reason that could have caused Fundy to decide to take a break from the whole situation because it was unhealthy and heal was because he wanted to heal. For himself. He genuinly wanted himself to feel better for the only reason being, simply, feeling better.

Fundy is the only character for now to have ever taken an important choice for making himself feel better and letting himself heal.

Tl;dr: Fundy taking the year and a half break was the only decision on the entire SMP taken only out of self-love and genuine desire to feel better for the sole reason of feeling better.

Fundy is a representation of love, in any shape or form. He is unapologetically full of love and care, both for himself and for the people around him.

Anyway, the third part is a theory, if younwill kindly follow me:

The above analysis is the exact reason why the Egg causes Fundy an extreme repulsion.

Since both Fundy and Tubbo said that the Egg seems connected to Dreamons, I'm going to roll with that idea in mind.

As we all know, one of the only known weaknesses of a Dreamon is Love and this Dreamon seems to be acting and controlling people out of wishes and desires.

Fundy should be a perfect candidate for the Egg to manipulate, isn't he? One of Fundy's most known characteristic is his research for love, affection and appreciation from people, and we know the egg has no problem using love to manipulate someone, because he is manipulating Bbh using his (platonic?) love for Skeppy against him.

So why the egg would cause a repulsing reaction to Fundy?

Tommy seems immune because he doesn't wish for anything right now, he has everything that he wants

Tubbo also has a repulsive reaction, but is not a hateful reaction but one driven by fear and sadness, the Egg purposefully trying to scare him away, probably to make him unable to fight against him

But why Fundy's reaction would be full-on hate?

I think the egg was trying to do with Fundy the same thing he's doing with Tubbo, scaring him so badly to drive them to the point where they cannot fight back out of complete fear, but it's not working.

It's not working because the Egg fears Fundy, fears how full of pure, unfiltered and unapologetic love his heart is, fears how he's the living representation of the fact that love, of any kind, is the strongest emotion out there. Fundy already was able to defeat a Dreamon because of his own love, and now that he's more emotionally stable and has decided to follow his heart more, mending relationship with people he loves even if they hurt him?

Fundy is an incredibly dangerous threat to the Egg.

So fear is not enough to keep the fox away, he cannot let him anywhere near his plans.

He fears that if he tried the fear treatment on Fundy, Fundy would be able to break out of the web of terror as soon as someone he loved was caught in the crossfire

So he tried pushing him away in a different way, using hate instead of fear, because since Fundy is such a love-driven person all around, the best way to keep him away is to use hate, just like Tubbo is often driven by hope and optimism, so the best way to keep him far fron where he could be a danger is to use sadness and fear.

Tl;dr: The Egg is making Fundy hate him because that's the only emotion that could actually keep Fundy away from him, because he, being a Dreamon, fears how full of love Fundy is.

You lost your life that day. Your twin brothers best friend, george, had been the one to take the future you had planned away from you. Your twin was devistated, but he knew he couldnt do a thing about it. He, along with your two fathers, Would mourn over your tombstone, Which they had placed in the badlands, that was until they saw a grey figure sitting on your tombstone, in the same outfit you wore on the day you died.

¨Y/N?¨ Bad asked, his voice slightly cracking up as you turned your head to look at the two ¨Dad!¨ you exclaimed slightly, your voice sounding almost hollow. Your skin was littered in wounds, while the blow that ended your life, stained through the white blouse you wore under your jacket. ¨I came to see you, Im helped start a country¨ you exclaimed, waving your hands around as you twirled. Neither two men had the guts to tell you that the country had gained independance already and was going on without you. ¨I know that things are going well there¨ You placed your hand on the side of your scarred face ¨ i came to ask if you knew where sapnap is, i think he took my book again¨ Wthout any further word from neither you, nor your fathers, you floated off into the hills, leavng the two men to wonder if it was just a hallucination

¨ You did everything sappy¨ Your hollow voice whispered, causing your twin to look over to where your ghost form stood. ¨ please keep writing in my book for me Sappy, i know it will be in good hands¨ A ghost of a smile formed on your face as you began to fade back into the void, causing your brother to cry out for you, just wanting to see you for a second longer.

He even wrote about Wilbur and tommy´s exile. When the festival came along, he left the seat beside him empty, because he knew you were there, even if not visible. and when he heard your panicked whispers in the wind, he got up and left, because he knew when you spoke up for once, it was important.

it was the next day he learned of the destruction of l´manburg, as well as the death of wilbur and shlatt. Like always, he wrote down what he knew and then closed the book with a sigh. the book only had a few pages left to fill. but he wondered what he would do when he ran out of space, MAybe he would get a new book, and continue your legacy.

when sapnap visted a week later, he brought the books with him to prove he would destroy them. Dream watched with exitement as sap threw them into the lava. Like promised, dream used the book and revived you. You had the same look as you did that day, you were in your war uniform still and you were confused, just a second ago, Wilbur and shlatt were telling you stories about the great nation you had helped form. ¨Sappy¨ you whispered, looking up at him from the floor you were now crouched on. Without a word, you were engulfed in a hug, your brother shouted for Sam, asking for you two to be let out. You were very confused, yet you were happy to be able to hug your twin once more. Bad is pretty affectionate when it comes to you, almost never leaving your side if he can.

He's very affectionate physically and verbally, clinging to you and giving you kisses while calling you sickly sweet pet names and praising you. Despite what he's supposed to be, he's incredibly adorable and hard to resist.

B = Best friend (What would they be like as a best friend? How would the friendship start?)

The friendship starts after you're introduced to him thanks to Skeppy, who you met first around the server and clicked well with. After getting to know you better and seeing you get along great with Skeppy, he easily accepts you as one of his close friends.

As a best friend he's kinda clingy, often wanting to see you and knowing what you're up to. He also likes to make sure you're okay and comes to visit you often, making sure no one messes with you.

C = Cuddles (Do they like to cuddle? How would they cuddle?)

Cuddles are his jam and given the opportunity you two would probably never leave the bed for the whole day. He doesn't have a set cuddling style, though one thing stays the same and it's that he wraps his arms around you pretty tight.

D = Domestic (Do they want to settle down? How are they at cooking and cleaning?)

He does seem like the type to want to settle down. It sounds like a very nice thing to do once everything in the server calms down, well, if it ever does calm down.

Domestic life wise, he's pretty decent at it! His best chore is cooking, he makes a pretty good meal when he cooks.

E = Ending (If they had to break up with their partner, how would they do it?)

Depending on the situation and what led up to it, I think it'd end on good terms but he would get very emotional while doing so. He would be crying while apologizing and explaining why he feels like a romantic relationship wouldn't work as to not hurt you too severely. He still wants you to be in his life as his best friend though so you two do keep in close contact if you're okay with that.

F = Fiance(e) (How do they feel about commitment? How quick would they want to get married?)

He is rather loyal and commited to the ones he loves so I think he would get married. Maybe after being together for 6 months or a year would be when he pops the question.

G = Gentle (How gentle are they, both physically and emotionally?)

He is very physically and emotionally gentle with you, not wanting to hurt you in any way.

Sure he does tackle hug you in his human form but in his demon form with his tall height he makes sure to treat you like glass if he ever handles or holds you.

Emotionally he doesn't ever want to say mean things to you. He always apologizes profusely (almost crying himself) if you ever get truly upset with something he teased you about.

H = Hugs (Do they like hugs? How often do they do it? What are their hugs like?)

Loves hugs, the moment he sees you he's running up to give you a big old hug. Hug him back, please. Please, (y/n). Hug him back, he wants you to.

I = I love you (How fast do they say the L-word?)

He used to say it quite often back when you two were friends, so there's no exact way to tell when the I love you's started to be genuine.

J = Jealousy (How jealous do they get? What do they do when they’re jealous?)

Lord above, we've seen this man be jealous. He's super jealous when you start to spend more time with others. Can and will blow up your communicator asking you where you are and who you're with. Sometimes Skeppy joins in too half jokingly. If you're with Quackity you bet your ass you're getting dragged somewhere far away from the man.

K = Kisses (What are their kisses like? Where do they like to kiss you? Where do they like to be kissed?)

Loves giving you surprise kisses and half expects you to return the gesture. ESKIMO KISSES! All the eskimo kisses, he loves them. He love giving and receiving eskimo kisses from you so much.

L = Little ones (How are they around children?)

Oh he adores kids quite a bit. Innocent, active and still full of life, he thinks they're precious. Though he can't really handle the spoiled ones, the ones who scream and throw really bad tantrums when they don't get what they want in the supermarket.

I don't think he's capable of having his own kids with his partner (being a demon and all) but he'd like to adopt one or two if you're into that idea. He's had experience raising Sapnap (and he doesn't hate bad's guts as far as I remember) so he's sure he can handle it.

M = Morning (How are mornings spent with them?)

Before you wake up he likes to stare at your peaceful face while you rest. At first you did get a bit surprised when you wake up to see a pair of dimly glowing eyes staring back at you so closely. Now, you just instinctively reach out to give him morning kisses when you wake up.

N = Night (How are nights spent with them?)

He holds you in his arms while you slowly drift off to sleep. Sometimes he hums a soft happy tune while playing with your hair as your eyes grow heavy.

O = Open (When would they start revealing things about themselves? Do they say everything all at once or wait a while to reveal things slowly?)

Skeppy totally tells you a few of Bad's secrets before you two started dating, only very minor ones though. Other than that, he's a pretty open book and if there was a secret he has he spills pretty easily when you say his name in a dissapointed tone.

P = Patience (How easily angered are they?)

Unless you insult him or swear like a sailor on purpose to annoy him, he has a good bit of patience with you and your shenanigans. If you're best friends with Skeppy then you're bound to get into a little bit of trouble.

Q = Quizzes (How much would they remember about you? Do they remember every little detail you mention in passing, or do they kind of forget everything?)

He remembers things about you quite well. Such as what you like to eat, what your favourite ore is, your schedule, etc.

R = Remember (What is their favorite moment in your relationship?)

He loves you and he loves his best friend Skeppy too. He enjoys every moment you guys are all together but his favourite moment was when you three all hung out with one another watching the sunset on the roof of your home. It was all so unsually calm during those few minutes. You 3 totally held hands, just saying.

S = Security (How protective are they? How would they protect you? How would they like to be protected?)

He knows you can hold your own but even so he does get pretty defensive when others try to threaten you. Will stab a person for you if they really hurt you, no hesitation.

T = Try (How much effort would they put into dates, anniversaries, gifts, everyday tasks?)

He puts in a lot of effort to make you and everyone happy! It doesn't always feel like a chore when he's trying to find something you like or helping you around here and there. Anniversaries with him are simple but they're very sweet and memorable.

U = Ugly (What would be some bad habits of theirs?)

Oh boy, his clinginess and jealousy does tend to be a bit of a problem. You have to remind him that you need personal time too. He always pouts when you say that and often times you do give in because of it. Though, if you really do need to be somewhere without him, promise to spend your next free day with him and he'll happily agree.

V = Vanity (How concerned are they with their looks?)

Not very concerned, he's aware that he looks a lot different than others but he doesn't think it matters when almost everyone in the server is a different kind of human or hybrid. Everyone's different and that's normal, he thinks.

W = Whole (Would they feel incomplete without you?)

Sure we know that Skeppy is his whole heart both metaphorically and literally in a sense, but he would be devastated if anything were to happen to you. He would feel like a part of him is missing and it would frustrate and upset him to no end knowing that the missing piece could never be found again.

X = Xtra (A random headcanon for them.)

In his 9'6 form he will carry you around in his arms like a doll just to tease you. He think you look adorable as you whine and tell him that you aren't a toy to haul around.

Y = Yuck (What are some things they wouldn’t like, either in general or in a partner?)

He wouldn't like someone who takes advantage of him or does things he doesn't like consistently on purpose. Like, teasing him is fine, he does that too, but don't do what he doesn't like on purpose everytime you see him. He just thinks that's disrespectful even if you were just teasing.

Z = Zzz (What is a sleep habits of theirs?)

When he sleep he's absolutely wrapped around you. Laying by your side, arms and legs wrapped around your torso and waist respectively. You are his pillow now and you're being held hostage until he's decided he's satisfied.

Sure! Here’s both of them!

DetectiveAU:

Dream is stalking Tommy, but for the time being he doesn’t suspect that he’s the theif- after all, he’s a skinny little street kid. He just thinks that he’s involved in some way- that he was set up as stealing some of the jewellery by being given some of it to sell. He’s seen Tommy with a piece of jewellery, but only one, and that’s why he suspects he was given it and isn’t the thief.

Tommy kept it because it’s a locket that has a picture of the mysterious wandering musician he met long ago inside it, a bit younger and in school uniform besides Niki. He’s desperately trying to analyse it for a lead.

The musician is Wilbur, obviously. He grew up in wealth, with his father Phil growing up in old money and his godfather Techno having managed to shoot up the ranks of the army incredibly fast, after Philza took notice of him. Still, he’s a free spirit at heart, and spends a lot of his time wandering the country, playing his guitar, and helping people, because he’s seen the tyranny of the system and he doesn’t know what else to do.

Tubbo and Ranboo are also street kids. They’re Tommy's only friends.

George and Sapnap, likewise, are Dream's only friends, and his conduit to the outside world.

Dream’s concealed and forged evidence before. He’s currently considering how hard that’d be for the evidence someone ever existed, so no one would notice when the robberies stopped and Dream had his little thief trapped where he wanted him forever.

FaeAU:

I’m going with my own headcanons/interpretations so it’s a bit different than Heart's wonderful fic. I did intentionally keep things open in the AU description to allow any interpretation though!

Philza was one of the previous mortals who entered the forest, and was the only one to escape, aided by a fae (Technoblade) that found him interesting. In return, Philza was made immortal so the two of them shall never leave each other’s side no matter the age.

Philza got his wings as a “gift”, in a trick to get him to stay. He managed to weasel his way out of the spirit of the deal- it was that he could never leave the forest, and technically the few abandoned, unenchanted areas of the forest were still part of the forest.

Wilbur was, like Tommy, abandoned at the edge of the forest. He was slightly older, though, and very nearly wandered into fae territory before Philza found him.

Philza's true name is Phil, Technoblade's true name is in the fae tongue and vaguely translates to “Techno” and “Blade”. Wilbur's true name is Wilbur Minecraft, sharing a last name with his father. Tommy's true name is Theseus.

BadBoyHalo and Sapnap are fae too, both imps. Skeppy is a homunculus created by BadBoyHalo.

Purpled is a pixie, and helps protect Hannah's grove.

Dream's true form is DreamXD! He tricked George into giving his true name basically in the same way he convinced him into being his friend in canon.

Heart's idea of Foolish being Eret's “mortal” is the cutest thing and I’m stealing it. Eret's nice, but still a fae, btw. She’s not… moral, and cares only of her own self interest, but she finds seeing people happy interesting and seeing them sad or in pain distasteful.

My vague idea for how it’d go would either be Tommy not taking the deal, and Ranboo and Tubbo helping him get the flower and escape the forest, or Tommy reluctantly accepting the deal and then we get the lovely angst lol.

If anyone else wants to send in some more AU ideas it’d be lovely and I will make them heavily involve c!primeboys no matter what and again that’s a challenge.

I’ll try answering everything under the cut! (and the un-cut panels from the comic)

Bad is a forest guardian type of thing.

And Skeppy is new in town :D that sits near Bad’s forest. And he’s, well. A changeling. So, he is somewhere on the trickster-fae spectrum. Skeppy himself doesn't know where for sure. Because, see, changelings get brought up by people, and spend a lot of time near them. And some of the other (older and creepier) spn creatures may consider them too insignificant, annoying, and human-like to be a “proper” cryptid.

Skeppy messing around with local people and wildlife in the forest landed him in hot water with Bad, who just wanted to chill in his woods alone :D Big-league creatures generally try to stay out of each other’s way in this world, unless their abilities/areas of influence overlap. So Bad had his right to run Skeppy off his property.

And Skeppy trying to play “we’re the same u an I uwu” card couldn’t work, mostly because he’s “too human” and Bad is too pissed :DDD

But Skeppy probably knew all that, and just wanted to buy himself some time to create a distraction and bolt.

And, yeah, there is a story to this! C:

I wrote backgrounds/character arcs on both Skeppy and Bad, and an outline for the story waaay back at autumn (and yes, they do become closer in it, heheh). Most likely I will not be able to do it all in form of a comic, tho. And idk if my english will be good enough to write a proper fic.

BUT I still want to share more about this story. So, if you, and others want it too, I can translate and post the notes I have, throw in some illustrations mb :3 I will probably do more art for this story, too, if I have the time.

Dream had it all planned out

As soon as the Yule Ball was announced, he had completely disregarded the golden egg from the second task so he could concentrate on how to ask you out to the Ball

With the help of his friends, Sapnap, Quackity, Karl, Bad, Punz and George, he prepared the perfect way to suprise you

Patches walked into your room, a note attached to her collar that told you to meet Dream at the countyard

Once you were there, fireworks started being thrown by the boys. The fireworks spelling out 'Going to the Yule Ball with you would be a Dream ;)'

You laughed at the awfully cliche pun, quickly realizing who was behind this

The culprit came down with his broom, hope in his eyes and a bouquet of flowers in his hand

You just gave him a nod and laughed as he jumped off the broom to hug you

The night went amazing

Because Dream was a contestant in the tournament, you had to open the dances infront of the rest of the students

It was nerve wrecking, and your matching emerald green outfits definitely made you both stand out, but it was everything you both had dreamed of

By the end of the night, Dream had enough courage to ask you out

You sealed the deal with a kiss under the stars

He at first asked you out as a joke

He had come into your room in his animagus form, with a note that said 'I'm colourblind, let's go to the yule ball togheter'

The note caused you to uncontrollably giggle for 5 minutes, but you suprisingly accepted

George wore some light blue robes for the dance, so you decided to follow him and wear a same colored outfit

You didn't dance much, mainly because neither of you wanted to, so you spent most of the night talking and walking around the empty castle

But at some point, your friends had dragged you to the dance floor for at least one dance

You ended up dancing with them and staying for a slow dance also

Dream had to bro-talk Sapnap for like 2 hours to get him to ask you out

He was just so nervous to ruin the friendhsip that you three had, but since Dream already had a date, he had no other choice but to ask you

Well, his plans where ruined because you nonchalantly asked him first

*insert Dream wheezing for 20 minutes*

You both wore outfits that had kind of a flame color scheme

During a slow dance, Sapnap got too shy to look you in the eyes, so he decided to hide his face into your neck

You and Dream will never make him forget that

By the end of the night, he walked you back to your dorm and you gave him a kiss as a thank you

Skeppy had noticed the way you and Bad would sometimes look at eachother

So, he decided to help his buddy out by faking having a date

You and Bad were upset that you three couldn't go togheter, but it gave Bad the push he needed to ask you out

Bad and you wore some black outfits with some black detailing

The ball was a great way for you and Bad to realize your feelings for eachother

And Skeppy couldn't be happier to have helped you out, even if he had to ask someone random to go with him

As previously mentioned, you had gone to the ball with Wilbur since he asked you out a few weeks ago

A lot of attention was put on you and him, since Wilbur was pretty popular around the school

But you didn't really care about that

The only thing you cared about was the two eyes glaring at the back of your head all night

Quackity couldn't take his eyes off you

Not only because you looked absolutely stunning, but also because he wanted to be the one to ask you out

See, after Cho's rejection, and a long long talk with Charlie, he had finally realized his feelings

But he was a little too late

Towards the end of the night you saw him look at you with a sad smile, before running out of the hall

You wanted to run after him, but you didn't want to leave Wilbur alone

Your date, on the other hand, had realized what was happening

The glares from Quackity and your numerous glances at said boy kind of gave it away

Wilbur let go of your hand, giving you a slight push towards the exit

"Go get your man" he said with an encouraging smile

You could never thank him enough

You reached Quackity, who was leaning on the railing of the castle

Your friend was surprised to see you there and not with your date

He worried that Wilbur had done something to you, but you reassured him that it wasn't that

"He wasn't the one I wanted to come with..." You mumbled, looking at the ground

Quackity's eyes filled with hope "Who did you want to go with then..?" He wondered, subconsciously taking a step closer to you

You looked into his eyes, giving him a silent answer that he understood

The night was spent sharing both of your feelings and agreeing to takes things slow

You and Karl just decided randomly to go has friends

He wasn't interested in anybody and you didn't have anyone to go with, so you killed two birds with one stone

It was fun to go to a ball with someone you shared interests with, because there was never a silent moment between you two

He told you he was fine and that he couldn't keep them with him if they didn't want him

You agreed and decided to take Wilbur out for some fresh air

Not even 5 minutes later you started hearing sniffles coming from the boy

"Stop keeping everything in, especially in front of me idiot." You told him, pulling him into a hug

He cried on your shoulder "I liked them!" he sobbed, "I know" you told him

You just caressed his hair softly, telling him to let it all out

His arms wrapped aroud you tightly, in an attempt to not lose you too, but you weren't even thinking of going anywhere else while he was like this

❝ Technoblade ❞

No matter how much you wished to go to the the Yule Ball with Techno, you didn't get the chance

So you went with a group of friends

But, since luck seemed to be on your side, you actually stumbled upon Techno while you were getting a drink

"Nice outfit" he commented

"Oh! Thanks" you said "I really liked the color, we kind of match tho" you continued, looking down at the red outfit you wore and chuckling

He gave you a small smile "That's why I liked it. It compliments you a lot"

Needless to say you were a panicking mess atm

❝ Nihachu ❞

You and Niki were already planning to go to the ball togheter from the moment it was announced

The both of you spent hours at Hogsmeade shopping for matching outfits and accessories

Pastel pink and yellow was the color of the outfits you both ended up choosing

They complimented eachother pretty well, kind of like you did to the other

At the ball a lot of eyes were on you, the outfits bringing the attention

But you ignored all the stares and just had fun

You ended the night with a very shy confession from Niki, which you accepted welcomely

❝ Eret ❞

After avoiding you for a while, too scared to make a fool out of himself in front of you, he finally asked you out

You didn't know much about the veela, but he seemed interesting enough so you accepted

You two sported some beautiful navy and gliterry outfits at the ball

Eret was actually in a gown, which caught the eye of everybody there

You made sure to glare at anyone who dared call him names, because to you he looked absolutely breathtaking

During the night you couldn't help but start to like him

He was so confident and comfortable in himself, no matter what other said or did

This interest in him just grew with each hour you passed togheter

You knew that, once the night ended, you would have to say goodbye to him forever

So, you cherished every moment you got with this beautiful stranger

❝ Punz ❞

You and Punz decided to ditch the Ball 20 minutes into it

To Punz it was something he had attended so many times, and you had your 5 minutes of fun

So you two went for a night stroll under the stars instead

You got to know more about Punz's past and what his family was like

The more he told you, the more you wished you could have been there to support him

At one point, you clumsily stumbled onto Punz who elegantly catched you like in those romance movies

"Well hello there" he flirted, causing you to scoff

"Don't get too cocky" you fired back. He thought about it for a moment, before letting you fall to the ground "Ok"

You angrily stared up at him as he laughed. After recovering, he stretched his hand out to help you, but instead you pulled him to the ground with you

"Well hello there" you repeated his words, making him roll his eyes

You two sat face to face, entranced by eachothers eyes

And without realising, you both leaned in to meet in a shy but loving kiss

Punz reached his hand and cupped your cheek, to keep you there longer, and you didn't complain

❝ FoolishGamers ❞

"Seems like we're the talk of the school, huh?" You asked the boy in front of you as you came down the stairs from your dorm

He took your hand a gave it a light kiss "Let them talk, we have more important stuff to do" he said, smiling

Apparently rumors spread around Hogwarts that you and Foolish were spending a lot of time togheter

So people assumed that you two were probably dating

His fans envied you, while other students were cheering you on for getting with such a handsome one

You and Foolish found all of this absolutely hilarious, because none of it was true

But, it seemed that it kept his fans at bay, so you started this fake relationship

"So, my love, aren't you happy to be at the ball with you boyfriend" Foolish teased you while you two were in the middle of a slow dance

You looked around and laughed "Of course honey, I wouldn't want to be here with anyone else"

He twirled you and brought you closer to his chest, his eyes falling to your lips for a split second, sending chills down your spine

Maybe this whole fake dating was getting a bit too...real

A swan origami flew on your desk in the middle of potions

You looked curiously at it before opening it, in hopes of not being seen by Snape

'If I ask you out on a date, would your answer be the same as the answer to this question?'

You chuckled quietly and turned towards the very eager Sam, who was shyly smiling towards you

As soon as he got his swan back, a yes written in the note, he silently celebrated in his seat

You both decided to wear green outfits with some black detailing

The ball was fun for you two

Sam showed you a side of him that you hadn't seen much these past few years

He was more sweet, kind and calm, a bit shy too

And he kept all the attention strictly on you, which made you feel important to him

You two literally danced the night away, too happy in your own little world to notice the time flying

You know what? I just realised that the Red Egg is just another morally gray character who’s actually justified in it’s action if you look at them from it’s point of view...

(Just a disclaimer: this whole post will be sarcastic and made to point out some inconsistencies I’ve seen in various apologists arguments, I’ll try to make it clear troughout, but still, bear this in mind. It is also a critique of the FANDOM and NOT OF THE CHARACTERS)

Now you’ll ask: how can we justify the actions of a manipulative weird ass Egg/plant thing that feeds on human flesh and is Hell bent on world domination? Well, you’ll see that some arguments can be made in favour of it that are absolutely identical to some of the most popular ones that have been made about other well known characters (such as c!Dream or c!Techno, maybe others... I’ll see as I go). 

Discussion under the cut... this will be a long one.

First argument: The Egg was always clear about it’s intentions. The Egg never hid from it’s followers (or allies if you may, after all power imbalance is rarely taken into account when analyzing relationships in this fandom...) that it’s objective was to expand, eat and unify the server under it’s guidance. This in and of itself, of course, already justifies somewhat the Eggs actions (after all, this argument is what “justified” Techno’s actions on november 16th and forward, why shouldn’t we apply it to other characters?). Honesty after all is always a good justifications for someone’s wrongdoings, no matter their impact on others. 

Second argument: The Egg’s true objective is unity, which is ultimately good. How do we know that’s the Eggs true objective? Well, it’s the one that BBH, main interpreter of the Egg, insists most about. The Egg followers want to create unity under the Egg, easy as that. And unity being necessarily a good thing (as told to us by Ranboo with his “no sides” ideals and Dream with his “one big happy famaily” statement) means that the Egg at least got good intentions. Also wanting to unite people under your rule or system of belief is in no way tyrannical or wrong, and violence is always justified if your objective is ultimately positive (this is why, after all, neither Dream nor Techno or Phil were in the wrong when imposing their ideologies on others trough means of extreme violence and this is why Dream’s actions can not be defined as tyrannical while his ultimate objective was ultimate control)

You may wonder though, before we get to the next point, how can we just entirely trust the Eggs words with absolutly no critical analysis of it’s actions and without consulting any pov external from that of it’s followers? Well, that’s simply because we have absolutely no reason to believe the Egg is in any way an unreliable narrator, therefore we can take anything it says, either out loud or to it’s followers, as the absolute truth. Also we can assume without watching any external pov that anyone opposing the Egg is inherently biased, therefore it’s entirely useless to try and understand their point of view. (We have other examples of character like this in the story already, such as: Technoblade, Phil and Dream. Any statement they make can be taken as absolute fact regarding their motivation, actions or ideologies and any statement opposing what they say is to be discarded as biased or worthless)

Third argument: The Egg has given a lot to it’s followers, therefore is deserving of their absolute loyalty and it’s absolutely justified in harming them in retaliation if they shift sides (aka if they betray it). Now, I know what you’re thinking: “This sounds very manipulative and not okay, you can’t simply buy someone’s loyalty or friendship! They shouldn’t owe you if you give them something freely!��... well... you’re wrong. The Egg has given them so much! It gave them the power to achieve any of their desires and offers to do so for anyone who’d follow it. It even helped BBH when his best friend Skeppy got infected by healing him and giving BBH a cause to believe in and a group to belong to. It did so for Ant and Punz too, as well as trying to do so for many others. It just asked for their love in exchange! Can’t believe some people like Puffy would just stop loving it once she recognized that that relationship had changed her into someone she didn’t want to be! The Egg is fully justified in wanting her dead after her betrayal... (much like Techno and Phil were absolutely justified in Doomsday and in working with Dream as Tommy had betrayed them with no valid motivation whatsoever. If they’d killed him as he was on his last life they’d also be justified)

Some may wonder why is the Egg also justified in wanting to kill Tommy or in hurting Sam since they never technically betrayed it? Well, Tommy is annoying (God this actually hurts to write, it’s so damn stupid) and also a liability. For the Greater Good some sacrifices must be made and it’s fine for things to get destroyed or people to die as long as it is for a just cause. Also Sam getting hurt was just an unfortunate but necessary thing for him to learn his lesson not to oppose the Egg and be a hinderance for it. (Again: the abolishment of governaments was the ultimate and undoubtedly good objective of both Doomsday and the November 16th war which makes any and all casualties and propriety damage in both of this events excusable. Also it has been proven already that the only True and Right way to teach a “lesson” is trough violence by characters such as: Dream, Phil, Techno, Niki and Jack and confirmed by: Ranboo and Hbomb, we can therefore assume that this is true and also justified. If a character is considered an annoyance the justification points for using violence to teach them a lesson is doubled!)

Fourth argument: The Egg has often been used or talked about as a tool to get power, this is dehumanizing and it grants it free range to utterly detroy anyone who it percieves to have done so. While the precedent for this point is very muddled and hard to prove and The Egg has only gone after one of the people (Tommy) who wanted to use it for profit, it’s still worth pointing out and can be used as an excuse later on. Do we have no proofs of this happening? Do people start actually considering it a living breathing evil creature as soon as it shows to not be an inanimate plant and actually start immediately treating it as such? Has this never been pointed out by the Egg or it’s followers and has the Egg never expressed feeling uncomfortable with people’s views of it as well as ingoraging some of them itself? None of this matters! As long as The Egg starts expressing a belief that this happened way after with nothing to back it up it will still be to be taken at face value and it will be a valid reason to demonize any and all people who oppose it! (While an argument can actually be made for the Egg being dehumanized as it in no way, shape or form presents any similarities to an actual human, not from a moral, psychological or physical point of view, there are actually 0 proofs of this happening with our precedent for this point which is Techno, aside from his say so, this point is, however, just as valid for him. It doesn’t matter if something never happened as long as Techno perceives it as if it did). 

The trauma that the dehumanization and betrayals may have caused could also be used as a further justification for all of the Eggs actions, though only if it is shown in the most mainstream and romanticized version of it and none of the ugly/debilitating aspects of ptsd are ever presented in any way (*cough* Ranboo, Techno and Phil to varying degrees *cough*), we don’t want such a sympathetic character lashing out, not being Sad all the time, shutting people off, being rude, being brash or talk too loudly, it would just ruin it all for everybody. Also the trauma should possibly not affect it in any significant ways and never actually be brought up if not in eloquent monologues to other characters for maximum effect (*cough* Techno again *cough*)

So, let’s recap: The Egg may be considered morally gray (no more or less then other characters though as only one shade of gray exists) as it did some things that may be perceived as excessive (mostly harming Sam as he is a conventionally likeable character who also has no amnesia or other mental health issues and, therefore, is the only type of character who’s feelings should be taken into account), but it’s mostly justified in it’s doings. 

If none of this arguments seem to make sense and you think they don’t excuse the Egg’s actions (aka a demonic being with no sense of human morals) they should also be considered utterly worthless for any other character (all of them way more worthy of being held accountable for thir own actions) as well...

My favorite is c!BBH for the tragedy his story has become, learning the Egg was manipulating his perceptions and sealing it away only for it to take Skeppy. His slow descent into utter hopelessness as all his friends are either to busy to help or unintentionally feeding into that hopelessness and unknowingly telling him the same thing the Egg is, this is who Skeppy is now and it can’t be reversed. His repeated visits to the Skeppy statue in desperation to see his friend in any form resulting in the Egg being able to manipulate him into falling to it once again. He gave in for Skeppy. He gave himself up for Skeppy. Even now Bad knows on some level the Egg is evil but it still has Skeppy and between his own warped perceptions and his love for Skeppy he’s trapped and the Egg’s not letting him go yet. And even now he spirals deeper and deeper into hopelessness because he’s totally alone, separated on some level from everyone even from Ant and Punz.

I am so goddamn close to breaking my personal "don't ship the RP characters they're too close to their real-life counterparts for it not to be gross" rule just because of the INSANE amount of homoerotic tension happening in this arc. There are no two bigger fans of Skephalo that BBH and Skeppy themselves. If they ever address this properly in canon and declare that their characters are in a relationship, I am going to lose my entire mind.

And the TRAGEDY. Of Badboyhalo choosing to fall from grace to get Skeppy back is just. That's peak Romanticism. Oh my God. YES. They're in love, regardless of if they're gay for each other or not.

This is some thinking based on the “tales of the smp” thing Karl’s got going on!

Got some thoughts surrounding lore concepts, DEFINITELY rambling and not theorizing AT ALL

A lot of people support the idea that Dream is some kind of immortal, and I love that idea. I like to think he was a regular guy a very very long time ago, but some magic fuckery got involved when he tried to use an incomplete totem of undying, leaving him in a state of half death where —when he should die— he reverts to the form of a little wooden doll (the totem! Looks like his smiley face icon). It takes a lot of time for him to recover from this in which he is barely-conscious, unable to move or communicate or think much at all. It’s very boring and lonely so he will avoid it at all costs, hence why he nearly always keeps his armor on.

This adds a possibility for his relationship to George and Sapnap. They were probably friends in his original life, but died in the same accident that cost him his own life, but they didn’t have totems. This obviously bums Dream out once he finally heals and reverts from his doll form (nearly 20 years of lonely semi consciousness) to hear they died. He ends up finding a hunting party of two. This party has one archer with striking white goggles and one axe-wielding bandana-wearing man. He is overjoyed and runs up to greet them but they clearly don’t remember him. Sad stuff or whatever, they end up taking him in and becoming really good friends again. Dream tries to explain himself but they don’t really believe him until a few years pass and he always seems to know their favorite colors/foods/animals. Probably 5 years or so pass, and eventually history repeats itself and the other two die while Dream outlasts them before dying very shortly after.

At this point he notices a pattern where after around 20+ years of non-existence (sleep) he will wake up, meet a Sapnap and George, a few years will pass, they will get killed and he will die after. His Totem is kind of tied to their lives in which he will sleep until the time they met in his first life and die the same time in their life. Once they die, he can no longer maintain his physical form. Basically the only thing the totem does is let him keep his age of 21 and his memories, but when not with the others (either they are living their lives before they met him (George around 24 and Sapnap around 20) or dead (around 4-5 years after they meet Dream)) he’s asleep and alone.

The repercussions this has explains a lot of Dream’s current character. For example, his very apathetic attitude and love for chaos is because he’s seen it all before. Either trapped buried in the underbrush somewhere as a wooden doll or spending 4 years with his friends that he knows are fated to die has left him disenchanted with everything. History repeats itself and nothing is new anymore for someone that has no fear of eternal death. Chaos is at least entertaining.

Each death leaves him less connected to his own humanity but stronger as he grows closer to an immortal than a human. He notices he bleeds less when cut, he can last longer without food, his strength is unnatural, etc. Despite all of this, he can never protect his friends and, therefore, never avoid being trapped as a doll for a long time.

He wants to stop caring about George and Sapnap, but it never really works. He’s tried avoiding them, even fighting them, but they always end up together. This is part of the reason he removed the Kingship from George once he became targeted; he’s always trying to find a way to break the cycle and prevent their deaths. Currently this created a rift between them, but at this point Dream would rather have them alive them keep them as friends. The “I don’t care about anything” is not entirely a lie because there is almost nothing he does care about. Even George and Sapnap are somewhat expendable in his eyes when push comes to shove and he has no other way of avoiding it. He doesn’t want them to die and does all in his power to prevent it, but one can only see their friends die so many times knowing they’ll come back before becoming numb.

A few lil bonus thoughts

Dream can become the lil doll whenever he wants but can only turn back when Sapnap and George are alive. It’s not a trick he uses often.

He keeps his skills from the previous lives, only possibly growing a little bit rusty from so long asleep.

He’ll wake up in whatever he died in. He always keeps a dark green cloak on him to put over his regular clothes because he usually died in damaged/bloody clothing. Showing up as a stranger to town with clothes that show you were murdered in a past life is not a good idea

Sometimes George and Sapnap will know each other before meeting Dream, sometimes they wont. If it’s the latter case, the one that didn’t meet up with the other two will find the others nearly immediately

Occasionally Dream will spend a little longer as a totem even after meeting one of them because he can’t go back to normal after a death by choice. Once, George found him in the woods, thought he was a cool little figurine, and placed it on his shelf. It was a little shocking when he rushed into the kitchen after hearing a large crash to find a man with a cloak coated in blood but without wounds on the ground covered in everything from the kitchen shelf.

Sapnap is usually the one to meet him first and is the quicker to become friends with him. They both argue pretty frequently, what with them being so competitive, but it’s never serious. Dream likes to help Sapnap get better at fighting (partly because he wants a better sparring partner, partly because he wants him to be able to protect himself)

George is usually a bit more standoff-ish. Although they always end up as close friends, he’s pretty skeptical. The first few cycles of death when Dream tries to convince them they all used to know each other—before he basically gave up on that— George was always the last to believe him

Dream begins wearing a mask after he once was recognized while with George and Sapnap. They all knew one man in a town before they died, but obviously only Dream remembers of the three. When they return to the town maybe 20+ years later and the man is 20+ years older but sees the three of them all looking pretty much the same (Dream with a few new scars) he freaks the fuck out. He wears the mask whenever in public

(If you support the Karl time traveller concept then the mask also come in handy for that., avoiding recognition. The mask is made out of wood and always resets any damage upon Dreams death)

He usually goes by Dream with his friends, but if he does give a pseudonym it starts with a “C” (Clay, Cornelius, etc.)

Technoblade is also an immortal after some nether mishap (I mean.. he’s basically a piglin so it fits) and is around the same age as Dream. But where Dream is an immortal that dies but it never lasts, ‘Technoblade never dies.’ They never ended up crossing paths, but Dream has always wanted to test that theory after hearing rumors about him

Part of the reason he’s so manipulative is because of the time he spends as a doll and the inability to change his and his friends fate. In both situations he has no control over the situation, leading to him becoming a bit of a control freak in the current day. He also got used to lying and controlling his tone when questions about his identity became frequent

He has a little bit of arrogance from his many years of watching humanity make the same mistakes over an over again. At this point, he barely considers himself human, something better. He’s been caught a few times using language that makes him sound not human

I like the idea that Sapnap has some kind of fire ability. Whether he’s always had an elemental affinity or if it’s a result of the loop he and the others are stuck in is up for debate. Maybe it was natural but strengthened with every death he’s gone through.

While the totem and subsequent deaths have severely distanced Dream from being a human, Sapnap and George are mostly the same. Sometimes they’ll get glimpses of memories of the past, find that they are naturally really good at something they’ve never practiced, and are a little more in tune with Dream’s unnaturalness. It comes from knowing him and from being connected through the cycle, seeing his restless soul breaking through the cracks of his undying body

Dream has a tiny bit of a jealous streak stemming from the fact that —at least to him— they’ve been friends for a very long time. Others could hurt them or take them away and that’s the last thing he wants. They’re his connection to humanity and are usually the ones to bring out the most positive emotion from him

Bad (badboyhalo) has mentioned he likes the theory that while Bad has unlimited lives, his soul is bound to Skeppy’s. If Skeppy dies, he dies. Based on that, Dream has seen Bad a few times over the many years and he’s the only other person really close to Dream. As a Demon he is functionally immortal frequently checks on Dream when he can. He can see Dream slipping further away from Human but doesn’t make an effort to stop it. After all, Bad isn’t human but he’s fine so it’s not really a problem.

Dream has approached Bad about breaking the cycle as his situation (soul tied to humans, and currently Skeppy) is similar to his own (soul tied to totem as is Sapnap’s and George’s). Unfortunately Bad doesn’t really have advice but does try to help somewhat. George and Sapnap don’t usually recognize Bad when they come back, but they do have a trust in him unnatural for regular humans to possess when MEETING A DEMON.

Dream has somewhat dropped his focus on ending the cycle. Not only has hundreds of years not provided a solution, he has grown to like his newfound power and immortality. He does want to end the curse of death on George and Sapnap that leads to him becoming a doll, but if that cost him his power, he might not go through with it
