Different avenues to fix Your Ipad screen
Casualties and mishappening still happen, no matter how much care we take with our expensive smart devices. How can you fix iPad Screens if it occurs to you? Let us look out the avenues to get your phone fixed.
Determining which parts of the iPad are defective
If the glass on your screen is cracked, but you can still see the image well, your LCD is probably still in good shape, and your glass/Digi assembly is damaged.
If this is the case and you possess an older iPad model, you're in luck because the top glass/Digi layer may be changed without affecting the LCD panel below.
Regardless of damaged screen parts, if you have a newer model iPad, you must replace the complete fused assembly. This increases the expense of repairing the more recent versions.
Here are various options for repairing an iPad screen that has been harmed.
Getting fixed at the Apple store
Even though your iPad's initial one-year limited warranty is still in effect,
unintentional damage caused by your cat knocking it off the kitchen table and onto your stone floor at an awkward angle is not covered. Apple, which sells some of the priciest gadgets on the market, also charges a fortune to fix them.
Third-party repairs
Be assured that you gather all requirements before handing your iPhone over to a third-party repair facility, whether they are Apple authorized or independent, about price, timeline, warranty, and the source of replacement parts. To be sure you're working with a trustworthy business, always read online reviews in your area.
DIY
This alternative is not for the timid, but if you're daring, technically inclined, or just strapped for cash, several do-it-yourself kits for screen repair are available through Amazon and have received some positive user feedback. Before disassembling your tablet, be sure you're up for the task.
Ensure the screen repair kit you purchase is made for the gadget you are fixing before you buy it. Not many gadgets have repair kits readily available, and one size does not fit all. Find out if you only damaged the LCD or touch mechanism or if the top layer of glass was also fractured. There are several types of harm.
Conclusion
Though DIY sometimes may not be the best option, it's always preferable to take your Ipad to an authorized centre like Screen shelf that offers iPhone services like screen change,iPhone Battery Replacement in Ireland.

VICTOR sums up the trends that dominated CES 2018
yahoo
For normal people, the end of the year is a time for celebration, vacation, and family.
For people in the tech industry, though, it’s a time of frantic preparation for the biggest trade show in the Western Hemisphere: CES.
The Consumer Electronics Show takes place in Las Vegas every January, perfectly timed to drain the joy out of the holidays for 170,000 people. It’s not open to the public — only to members of the industry and the media that covers it.
The Consumer Electronics Show comes once a year, whether we like it or not.
The purpose of the show is for nearly 4,000 companies to show off what they’re working on. When will these products reach stores shelves? Some of it soon, some of it next year, and lots of it, never.
Every year, everyone wants to know: What was new at CES? The world is hungry for an exciting answer, like, “Oh, there’s this thing called an iPad!” or “They showed this car called a Tesla!”
But every year, there are fewer new breakout inventions; at CES 2018 last week, I’d say there were zero. (In fact, the most talked-about display at CES last week was when the power went out for two hours. At an electronics show. #irony.)
Instead, CES these days is more about the same buzzword, technologies seep into existing products from across the industry, cross fertilizing. This year, six of these seeping technologies were on display — which, for your convenience, I’ve boiled down to a handy acronym: VICTOR.
It stands for voice, Internet of Things, cars, TVs, oddballs, and robots.
Voice
At this point, you probably know that the Amazon Echo is that cylinder that sits in your house and responds to voice commands, kind of like Siri for the home. Google has its own copycat version, called Google Home. These things are incredibly popular — already, they’re in 16% of American homes.
Both Amazon and Google have been aggressively encouraging other companies to build their voice technologies into their own appliances: refrigerators, light switches, lamps, speakers, robo-vacuums, TVs, headphones, security cameras, door locks, washers, dryers, cars, and so on. “Works with Amazon Alexa!” and “Works with OK Google!” signs were everywhere at CES last week.
You couldn’t swing a cat without hitting an Alexa-enabled product.
What’s great is that this isn’t an either/or thing. It’s not another Betamax/VHS war, or a Blu-ray/HD-DVD war. Since Alexa and “OK Google” are just software, there’s nothing to stop them from coexisting in the same product. The Sonos One speaker, Vivitar smart speaker, and new TiVo models, for example, can all understand commands barked in either command language.
Internet of Things
The Internet of Things, of course, is the nonsensical name for home devices that are networkable, so that we can control them by pulling out our phones and opening an app. For something that’s supposed to make our lives simpler and easier, that’s too much hassle. Consumers have been staying away in droves.
What may save the “I” in VICTOR is the “V” in VICTOR — voice control. “Alexa, is the dryer done yet?” “Hey Google, make it two degrees warmer in here.” “Alexa, lock the doors.” “OK Google, I want to watch ‘Rambo.’”
That arrangement actually works — and was everywhere at CES 2018. Samsung and LG, among others, demonstrated entire model living rooms and kitchens filled with appliances waiting for your verbal command.
An LG employee shows how its new fridge has six cameras inside that let you see its contents.
Cars
The self-driving car courses at CES were a third bigger than last year. Every car company you’ve ever heard of, and a few you haven’t, were demonstrating their self-driving prototypes. Lyft was even giving a few lucky showgoers rides around town in self-driving cars.
Sleek-looking concept cars filled the CES exhibit halls.
For 10 years, people have been saying that these cars would hit the roads in 2020 — and guess what? Unlike most heavily hyped new technologies, this horizon isn’t receding. People are still saying 2020. That means it’s probably real.
Lots of people were also talking about Toyota’s e-Palette, a prototype self-driving store.
Toyota envisions its E-Palette as a self-driving store, delivery van, or even hotel room.
TVs
CES show floors have always been dominated by massive walls of brilliant TV screens, and this year was no exception. The industry is still hard at work pushing us to buy 4K TV screens, which have four times the number of pixels as hi-def screens. Only one problem: You can’t see the difference from a normal seating distance.
As it does every year, LG created a dazzling wall of TV screens—this time, in an undulating canyon.
Even if you could see it, there’s very little to watch. Not a single TV network or cable channel broadcasts in 4K. If you own a 4K television, and you want to watch 4K shows and movies, you have two choices: Buy a 4K Blu-ray player and buy new movies on disc — or stream your shows online, from services like Netflix, Amazon, Hulu, iTunes, Google Play, Vudu, and YouTube.
In short, 4K is kind of a hoax.
(What you can see — what is worth upgrading to — is a much less catchy format. It’s called HDR, for high dynamic range. Much brighter brights, much darker darks; more detail in those bright and dark places; and more shades in between. More shades of color, too. Really fantastic.)
So the forehead-slapping breakthrough of CES 2018 was — get this — 8K screens. That’s right: four times as many pixels as 4K. If 4K was a stupid hoax, then 8K is four times as stupid. Really? They think we’re going to re-buy all our movies on disc again, to play on another new special disc player?
Samsung displayed a new display technology called MicroLED, which it claims to be as great-looking as OLED but at a lower price and less chance of burn-in. Cooler yet, the company proposes selling these TVs as one-foot, borderless tiles, which you can assemble to make as big a TV as you like. The one on the show floor, at 146 inches diagonal, dubbed “The Wall,” was a huge hit with showgoers.
LG also displayed (in an off-floor, invitation-only hotel area) a huge flat screen TV that rolls up. It’s built like an upside-down window shade; when you need the screen to get smaller, it wraps up around a roller at the bottom, hidden inside a wooden box.
LG’s prototype TV rolls upward or downward into the box below, to fit the video material.
Why? Because, the company says, you may want to watch different movies or shows that have different screen proportions. The real reason, of course, is, “Because we could.”
Oddball things
The “O” in VICTOR is the catch-all for all kinds of other crazy stuff on display. Walk the 50 football fields’ worth of exhibit space, and you’d find:
Two laundry-folding machines. One, the Foldimate, will cost $980 but will require you to attach each piece of clothing to clips; the other, the Laundroid, will go for $16,000 but does everything for you.
A full-body suit for playing virtual-reality games, so that bullets can “hit” you anywhere, or you can walk into a hot or cold virtual place, and you’ll feel it.
An electronic breast pump that you wear secretly inside your bra as you go about your day.
A tiny, battery-free sensor that you wear on your fingernail to detect excessive exposure to UV light.
Another stab at the Google Glass concept. This time, the virtual screen is superimposed on your field of view by a full pair of sunglasses.
Not one, not two, but three self-driving suitcases that follow you through the airport.
The Puppy 1 self-driving suitcase balances on two wheels, using technology adapted from Segway.
Remember my exhaustive (and exhausting) report about the struggles of the through-the-air charging industry? The products that can charge your gadgets at a distance? Well, the FCC just approved some of these products, including the Energous three-foot charging system. The very first product to include it is called the Myant Skiin, a line of clothing that tracks your vital statistics as you wear it.
Robots
No surprise here: Robotics and automation were the stars of the show. Heck, they’re the stars of every show right about now. Everywhere you looked, there were shiny white plastic robo-things with big eyes and smiley mouths to look less threatening. Most of them seemed to be “because we could” designs, rather than “you need one of these.”
Here and there, though, you could spot far more purpose-built robots:
Honda displayed a series of robots designed for specific tasks: an all-terrain model for outdoor work; a self-balancing wheelchair; and a weird, globule-shaped, huggable “empathy robot” with facial expressions projected onto its face from within.
youtube
LG offered three new robots for commercial use: one for restaurants, to deliver food or drinks; one for hotels, to carry luggage up to your room; and one for grocery stores, which guides you to the food shelf you’re looking for, and scans the package as you drop it into its hopper.
LG’s new service robots are designed for restaurants, hotels, and grocery stores.
Sony is re-introducing its Aibo robotic dog, this time in a more advanced, more puppy-like incarnation (probably $1,700 when it hits the U.S.). Sensors make the dog respond appropriately when you pet it or swat it; it learns your voice over time and seeks you out; and, like the original Aibo, it plays fetch with a pink ball.
youtube
Omron built a ping-pong-playing robot — not ever intended to be for sale, but to show off its robot-making skills.
Just to make sure all of Vegas’s bases were covered, the Sapphire Gentlemen’s Club featured two pole-dancing stripper robots as a CES gimmick.
Hail to the VICTORs
So, you get it: Same as last year, just more of it.
If all of that seems like a lot to read, well hey — here’s a rhyme to make it go down easier:
V is for the voice control in every gadget here — “Alexa, do my bidding!”… “OK Google, bring my beer!” In TVs, cars, and speakers, it’s a miracle of choice. The world’s at your command — at least if you don’t lose your voice!
I is for the second realm, called Internet of Things, It’s networked household stuff, complete with all the fun that it brings It’s thermostats, refrigerators, all your kitchen gear… So far, nobody’s buying it — but hey, perhaps next year.
C is for self-driving cars! So many at this show! We’re told they’re really coming soon — about two years to go. T is for the TV screens on all the expo floors. They look amazing when they’re here — but less so once they’re yours.
O is for the oddball stuff! The offbeat and bizarre: This laundry-folding robot, or this crazy concept car. R is for the robots — Sony’s puppy stole my show. This grocery bot asks what you want, then shows you where to go.
So there’s your whole mnemonic — VICTOR! Hope you liked the show And don’t forget the greatest part — you didn’t have to go!

Security software features are included, which you can access once the device is paired with a mobile app (Android and iPhone/iPad).
An accurate motion detector and alarm is included, with two-way motion detection technology (PIR and RADAR) to reduce false alerts. Trigger speed is 0.7 seconds, with detected motion resulting in a mobile notification. Footage of the event is also recorded onto the camera’s memory card.
With 1080p full HD video at 15fps, the Soliom S60 has 33-49ft visible distance and a 130-degree viewing angle. An IR LED light enhances night vision, with a range of up to 32ft.
Finally, the camera features two-way audio, enabling you to remotely hear and speak to anyone near the camera. It’s suitable for positioning inside and out, although positioning will depend on the size of your property.
Connecting to Your Network
Before getting your hands dirty, the camera needs charging. The device ships with an 80% charge, so this will need topping up. Simply connect the included USB charge cable to the camera and a USB mains adapter. Recommended charge time for this is five hours.
Next, get the Soliom S60 set up on your wireless network. It’s a smart idea to do this close to your router. This will ensure proper set up of the camera, using the mobile app.
Soliom offers an app for Android (2.3 and above) and iOS (7.0 or later), and the set-up process is straightforward. Simply tap the button on the camera to make it discoverable. Once the green LED turns blue, use the mobile app to detect, then input your network credentials. The app transfers these to the camera, adding it to your home network.
Setting up our test device was a little tricky, requiring a couple of attempts. This is due to the password field in the Soliom app not displaying any characters you’ve typed, not even briefly.
Additionally, the app requires access to your device microphone, as well as your phone’s storage. Repeated requests were made from the app to enable notifications, as well as auto-launch, but not enough information is given on how to do this.
Once this is overcome (we checked online for the steps for the appropriate Android version) and the camera is connected, the app will display the feed from your camera.
Note that once set up, the app will provide a QR code for you to easily configure another device running the Soliom app. This is thankfully straightforward and comparatively painless.
Positioning and Mounting the Soliom S60
With a 130-degree viewing area, multiple the Soliom S60s can be used to provide complete coverage of your property. However, before mounting, it is important to take the time to plan the device’s positioning.
The Soliom S60’s screw mount can be mounted on a wall using a standard drill and the supplied screws. Even the most inept DIYers should be able to handle this! Our test S60 was mounted in just five minutes.
Once the mount is screwed into the wall with anchors securing it, the camera can be attached.
We mounted our device at the recommended 8ft from the ground, enough to oversee almost everything in the garden.
Note that you don’t have to mount the camera on a wall. A tripod is also available for the Soliom S60 “Bird”. This must be purchased separately, however. Alternatively, if you’re mounting indoors, the S60 can be positioned upright, perhaps on a shelf.
Accessing the Soliom S60 Camera’s Feed
With the camera mounted, it’s time to adjust its positioning. Getting this right means installing the app, establishing the feed, then tweaking the camera’s viewing angle.
After setting up the camera, it’s a simple task to use the app to determine the correct viewing angle. Aim for the best coverage of your property, avoiding overlooking any neighboring land without prior agreement.
The mounted camera can now be accessed from anywhere. As long as you have a phone with the app running, the feed can be viewed, and footage saved.
Unfortunately, there is no option to view the camera feed in your browser. Even after checking the IP address of the Soliom S60, it wasn’t possible to access the feed other than via the app. While this isn’t a deal-breaker, it does restrict the possibilities of the camera somewhat.
One problem experienced using the app beyond the home network was an inability to connect to the video feed over 4G. My home internet is fast, so this should not have been an issue.
Your feed is stored free in the cloud, which means that any motion detection alerts can be viewed after the event. Alerts are also stored to the microSD card. Meanwhile, you can automatically record what’s going on over the cam by tapping the record button on the app. There’s also the option to take photos and use the microphone to communicate with whoever is near the camera.
By default, the camera streams in standard definition. However, you can easily switch to HD for improved quality. Note that this will have greater data requirements, as well as require more storage on your microSD card.
What Happens When It Rains?
While the Soliom S60 can of course be used indoors, mounting a camera on an external wall demands some weatherproofing.
This wireless solar camera is build to the IP66 weatherproof standard, capable of withstanding all but the most extreme weather conditions. Its high-quality plastic build is designed to protect the internals and lenses from extreme weather and impact.
Meanwhile, the battery—charged even when the weather is not sunny—works at temperatures between -4 and +140 degrees Fahrenheit (that’s -20 to +60 degrees C). Thankfully we couldn’t test this out with any actual extreme weather, but the camera certainly survived a couple of drops.
Power and Connectivity Performance and Issues
In terms of power consumption, the 4000mAh battery should be enough to last the day. Continuous daytime recording of 12 hours is available, with eight hours of night vision. It is unlikely that continuous recording for these durations will be required, however.
The single key challenge for using the S60 is wireless connectivity. While residents of smaller properties might expect a connection to be maintained, this will largely depend on the range of the router and the design of the building. Wireless signals travel along a direct line from A to B. Obstacles can reduce signal strength considerably.
Positioning the S60 too far from the router, or beyond line of sight, will result in a weaker signal. This can impact your access to the camera. As such, using a Soliom S60 camera may require you to set up a wireless repeater to ensure a reliable network connection.
The camera includes a reset switch that can be used if you need to deal with any software issues. A pin is included to access this switch, found near the microSD card slot.
Other problems can be experienced with 4G. Half the time, the app doesn’t respond to requests to display the camera feed, although notifications of motion in the surveyed area are reliable. Sensitivity and alert type can be tweaked in the app settings.
Moving Indoors
You’ve probably noticed that there isn’t much sun indoors. So, how does the Soliom S60 “Bird” work as an internal security camera?
Well, setup remains the same, but power will instead depend upon a regular USB connection to charge the battery. Usefully, the solar panel can be removed by removing a securing screw at either side of the camera.
One benefit of this approach is that you’re likely to have a better network connection.
Soliom S60: A Security Camera Anyone Can Set Up
Soliom S60 Solar Wireless Security Camera Soliom S60 Solar Wireless Security Camera Buy Now On Amazon $139.00
Lightweight and compact, the S60 is easier to mount than it is to set up with a mobile app. That says as much about the pairing as it does the single mounting nut. While the S60 makes a good security camera, I’m not convinced it wouldn’t be easily removed from its mount.
Although the app could be better, it does a good job providing access to the camera. The notifications need some work, too, to improve grammar, but otherwise they’re timely, proving the motion detection works well.
Overall a good security camera for the price, but not without software issues that we would hope to be fixed soon.

VICTOR sums up the trends that dominated CES 2018

Boat interior storage ideas OR where to put all your stuff?
.
I think the most popular question when moving aboard a boat is “where am I going to put all my stuff?” If you’re like me and don’t like clutter, this can be a challenging question. I recently went through Blue Turtle and completely reorganized a few areas that were driving me crazy. Even after almost 5 years living aboard (can you believe it?) I still periodically have to reorganize. As you live aboard, things shift as you buy new things and you may realize that there are certain items that you need easy access to and others that can be put away in harder-to-reach storage. Continuing to streamline a boat interior to work for you is an ongoing project. I’m always looking for better and more aesthetic ways to store items on our trawler because the space is so small, I not only want it clutter-free but also appealing to the eyes. Below are a few boat interior storage ideas that have helped me along the way in organizing our stuff and keeping Blue Turtle clutter-free inside.
A note about the affiliate links: I’ve inserted a few links to products on Amazon.com below. This means if you click on it and buy something from Amazon, we get a little kick back. It’s not much, but it will help in maintaining this blog and keeping it up-to-date with content about the live aboard and cruising lifestyle. Please know that I will never post an affiliate link or recommend a product that we haven’t tested or used ourselves aboard Blue Turtle.
Baskets, crates and bins
This is an obvious one. You walk onto any boat and go inside and you’re going to see plenty of baskets and storage containers. Baskets are great because they come in all shapes and sizes and they look nice as well. When it comes to crates or bins, I like to opt for wooden ones over plastic since they look nicer and blend better with the interior. Wooden bins and crates can also be painted to blend with the interior or provide a pop of color. Fabric or cloth baskets are great to use since they are more flexible than their plastic or wood counterparts and can fit into difficult spaces.
We use baskets and crates to store just about anything
Both traditional a fabric baskets are used for storing Sophie’s toys and our throw blankets
I found these cheap bare wood bins at Target that the boys painted for me and I use for towels, scarves and handbags
Drawer dividers
Drawer dividers come in very handy on a boat. Drawers and compartments on boats are all sorts of odd shapes and sizes and sometimes they can be very large. I used these expandable bamboo drawer dividers to organize my galley drawers. I like them because they are well made and sturdy not to mention they look nice. I’ve tried expandable plastic ones for organizing clothing in my deeper drawers in the aft cabin but they are flimsy and I doubt they are going to last long. I was doing a search online and I didn’t realize that they have the same bamboo dividers for deep drawers. I will definitely have to look into that for our huge under-the-bed drawers.
Expandable drawer dividers are great for organizing galley utensil drawers
I used these plastic dividers for our deep under bed drawers but not crazy about the flimsy plastic
Hooks
Using different types of hooks on a boat is a no brainer. We have all types of hooks from wall-mounted hooks to hooks in our cabinets to hold coffee mugs to hooks in our hanging lockers. I must say that installing a wall mounted wood hook rack in the stairway to the aft cabin for hats was one of the best things we did. I was getting tired of finding hats all over the boat and decided we needed a central location to hang them. Hooks are great to utilize space not being used in cabinets and closets and they’re great to hang items you might need to have easy access to like flashlights, dog leashes or keys. Plus, there are so many different decorative types that you can really get creative with them.
We use hooks in our aft cabin companionway to store all our hats
We inherited this Golden Gate Bridge key rack when we bought the boat
Shelving
Installing shelving is great for large open storage spaces where you’re not utilizing the full space. When we removed an old propane stove and replaced it with cooktop, we were left with a very large storage space. It was great but it was deep and we were only utilizing the lower half of the space. Installing a pre-cut wooden shelf from Home Depot enabled us to use both lower and upper half of that space. We also used the same type of shelving to hold our blu ray player in the aft cabin. It used to lay on the bed and Randy would kick it at night so we decided the shelf needed to have it its own space. I used a couple of these Scotch clear locking strips between the player and shelf to keep it in place so it wouldn’t fly off while under way. Probably the best shelf we ever installed was a white storage cabinet, shelf, towel rack combo in the aft head. We were lucky enough to have empty wall space above our toilet and this cabinet not only gave us great storage but also a shelf and rack to hang a bathroom hand towel.
An installed shelf in our under cooktop cabinet gave us more room to store bowls
We used a shelf to mount our blu ray player in the aft cabin
This storage cabinet gives us great space and functionality in the aft head
Storage ottoman
If you need to purchase a piece of furniture for inside your boat it’s a great idea to make sure it serves some other purpose—like storage. We had an old bamboo stool that we used for seating at dinner time that was about to break so I went in search of a replacement. Since we have a hi-low table and the boys sit on the couch during dinner, I needed a low stool or seat for myself to sit on the other side. Instead of looking for a stool replacement I looked for storage ottomans since they are about the height we needed. I found a great little ottoman at Target that opens on a hinge where we could store things. It looks great, provides additional seating and foot rests and we can stow things in it. Decorative and functional.
Our storage ottoman nests nicely under our hi-low table and opens to store items
Device charging station
This is probably my favorite clutter-free storage item. We have a lot of devices to be charged on Blue Turtle and I got tired of seeing all the devices laying on our countertops taking up coveted space, plus the cables and cords look very messy. I purchased this bamboo device charging station from Amazon to charge my devices (Apple watch, iPad, iPhone and wireless headphones) in our aft cabin. When it came, I realized that the front divider sections were too small for my iPad and phone with their cases, so I was able to remove them by tapping them out with a flathead screwdriver and hammer—easy fix! Now everything fits and all the cables and cords are inside plugged into a 5 port USB charger inside the bamboo box.
This bamboo charging station charges all my devices keeping the cables hidden
Next up, was dealing with the stuff that would get dropped onto the galley countertop everyday. This would be Randy’s 2 phones (1 personal and 1 for work), our full size iPad that we use for navigation, Corey’s Kindle tablet, an iPod for music, then wallet, keys, sunglasses, etc. It was driving me crazy to see all the clutter that took up half of my galley countertops so I was determined to find a solution. I didn’t want a charging station to sit on the counter top, plus I couldn’t find one to fit all the extra stuff (wallet, sunglasses, etc.) anyway. The cabinet above is so narrow and I couldn’t find anything to mount under it. I decided that it needed to go into a drawer. I shuffled my silverware, utensils and other drawers to clear out the top drawer in the galley and decided to turn it into a device charging drawer/junk drawer. I used one of the bamboo dividers mentioned above to section off a charging side and a side for the other miscellaneous items. I bought a second 5 port USB charger and mounted it on the inside side of the drawer using Scotch clear locking strips. We ran the electric cord out the back of the drawer and drilled a hole on the side of the cabinet so the cord could come out and plug into an outlet. I now have a clutter free galley countertop and am enjoying the extra space.

Clear Zippered Storage Bags
For storing items longer term, like Christmas decorations or any other item that you only need to dig out occasionally or once a year, we use clear zippered storage bags. These are like the ones that you get when you buy a blanket or comforter. They’re great since you can see what’s in the bag and they keep the contents protected from moisture and dust. I have several of these with Christmas decorations, PirateFest costumes and anything else we only need to dig out occasionally from under the mattress storage in the aft cabin. I’ve also heard great things from other cruisers about the vacuum sealed storage bags for storing clothing and bedding when not needed at the time. You’d be surprised at the amount of storage space most trawlers have on them in the way of hatches and compartments. While these hatches and compartments may not be ideal for storing things you need quick access to, they are great for those items you don’t need everyday and these plastic storage bags are great for protecting them in dusty or damp spaces.
The above are a just a few ideas and items that can help you organize the interior of your boat. I’m sure there are many other boat interior storage ideas out there and would love to hear your thoughts. Please leave a comment below if you’d like to share.

Need to There Be an App for Integrated Market
New Post has been published on https://giveuselife.org/need-to-there-be-an-app-for-integrated-market/
Need to There Be an App for Integrated Market
built-in integrated your clients’ pockets are not any clean venture.
With the pill wars heat built-in up and cellphone built-in skyrocket integrate dog, built-integrated, the idea is sure to cross your thoughts integrated: Is it time to create an app?
The lure of integrated with your clients everywhere they pass and be built-in conveniently handy with the tap of an of built-singer is built-in tough to withstand. And with over 350,000 iOS apps built-in Apple’s App Keep and over 2 hundred,0000 apps integrated Google’s Android Marketplace, it’s clear that many groups have eagerly climbed aboard the app development bandwagon.
Thanks to a proliferation of DIY app templates, the barriers to access built integrated app market are not as steep as they as soon as have been.
But you can’t truly integrate choose the merits built-in an app as you’ll another advertising built integrated tactic. Alternatively, you Have to observe your potential app as a product integrated and of itself.
You would not put money and time built into develop built integrated a product without built-inexpensive amount of self-assurance that a Market exists for it. Equal does integrate for an app. You can build it. You could get it integrated the app Shop. But if it is not built-in integrated human be built integrated want, your efforts can be for naught.
Your app need to meet those 8 primary standards, built-in any other case it’s not worth the integrated:
1. It ought to be designed around enterprise built-increase integrated objectives.
To justify the essential built-in, your app ought to be aimed toward built-integrated the built-increased integrated of your built-in, whether it does so with the aid of mask built-in it less difficult built-in customers to buy from you or built-in integrated your emblem at the forefront integrated built-in consciousness.
built-integrated, lots of huge names have created conceitedness apps that don’t serve a built-in feature, However, it’s now not a luxury the average agency can build and the money for. built-instance, Mercedes offers an iPad recreation known as SLS AMG HD that permits integrated users to position their driving talents to the test via a chat built integrated of tunnel built-in situations.
Positive, it’s a slick-built-integrated gimmick. But is it built integrated built-in built-integrated to improve the organization’s backside integrated? Does every person who’s built-in to shop for a Mercedes really want an iPad reintegrated sport to tip them over the threshold?
An app built-in and of itself is not a built-in integrated campaign. In case your aim is to enhance the visibility of your emblem, built-in integrated an app is a very integrated and highly-priced means to built-in integrated your desired stop.
built-and that you’ll be come built-ing with loads of heaps of different apps to be located by us built integrated telephone users. Your chances built-in creatbuiltintegrated integrated so new, so unique and so out-of-the-field that it’s go built integrated go viral and jump to the top of the download charts are slim to none.
What’s more, even the range of downloads your app receives is not any assure of Ong integrate dog exposure built integrated customers. integrated a recent observe, as many as twenty-six percentage of apps are opened handiest as soon as after download.
With odds like that, In case your sole cause is built-in the visibility of your logo, there aren’t any shortage of different approaches – from Search, eng built integrated to pay built integrated-click built-ing to social media-based PR campaigns – built-integrated likely deliver a better ROI.
2. Its application ought to be consumer-driven.
No matter what, your app improvement manner should not be a built-in ego-stork built-ing. Forget about what built-you suspect is cool or and built-in your app through your customers’ eyes.
for your app to be successful, it desires to provide integrated built-rings integrated want, whether or not this is a built-in shape of application, convenience, content material or all the above.
For the most part, your clients use their cellular devices for cert built integrated two functions: productiveness or enjoyment integrated.
In case you want to create an app that entertains Tegra beds, be organized to convey the massive guns because you are come built-in an area with the heavy-hitters, from Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube to a slew of professional game developers.
The productiveness space is less difficult to go built integrated, But conquer integrate dg it is nevertheless no clean feat. A useful productivity-oriented app ought to make it clean built-in customers to perform the styles of responsibilities they normally carry out whilst on-the-move.
In case your app is content material-driven, it wishes to be encyclopedia-worthy to warrant a spot on the reference shelf of your customer’s mobile tool. It must be complete and updated regularly, and its built-interface need to be extremely-searchable and scannable.
Whole Ingredients gives a first-rate content material-based totally app. customers can search its huge library of recipes by us built integrated keyword, built-inbuilt integrated they’ve on-hand to get tips and create buy built integrated lists on-the-fly. seek results are even categorized by nutritional choice, built-includes gluten-free or low-fats.
This sort of application aligns squarely with Entire Ingredients’ target Marketplace. built-in, their app is the move-to aid for lots health-aware, time-strapped built-in dad, and mom who go away the office with no idea of what they are built-in to make for deintegrated nor after they get home.
3. It ought to offer a gold standard stability of usefulness and simplicity.
Your app Have to no longer try and be all built-rings integrated to all capacity users, or built-ing to be doomed to failure.
Likewise, it also shouldn’t built-in integrated be a replicate of your website’s capabilities. If it is your plan, you’ll be better served with the aid of optimizing integrated your current integrated website online for mobile browsers.
Commonly talk built integrated, the greater capabilities you try to cram integrated an app, the less built-intuitive it will become to apply.
And as difficult as it is able to be built-in integrated, app customers are an even less affected person and greater fickle than Net surfers. If your app is tough to built-in out or built-ing to use, they’ll wipe you from their smartphone with nary a second concept. Consequently, it’s crucial that your app’s purpose is truly built-in and that its functionality is stream built-in.
The FedEx mobile for iPhone app is a perfect built integrated of this stability of application and simplicity. FedEx is a large built-international agency that offers a huge array of built-rings integrated to a built-in integrated various consumer base.
Its app, however, is rest rebuilt integrated to four integrated features: built-ing a quote, built-in a built-in label, tracking a package deal and built integrated a region – precisely the built-in time-touchy functions you want at the prepared when you’re built-inlook built integrated get that each one vital document out built-in this night’s cargo or built-in a vital built-ing.
four. It should be mobility-orientated.
There are some obligations, built-rings integrated love, to do on their phones and a few they do now not.
Any project that integrated too many steps and isn’t urgently integrated nature is not built-in to be built-in your customers might choose to do on their cell phone rather than simply built-inwaitbuiltintegrated until they’re integrated the front built-in their laptop display screen once more integrated.
5. It ought to take benefit of the cellular tool’s particular capabilities.
cell devices have some of the features that even many laptops do not necessarily have, built-inclusive of integrated GPS, the capability to deliver push notifications, a digital camera, and video digicam. In case you do not plan to tie the software of your app to any of these features, it is hard to justify pro built integrated a dedicated cell app rather than just enhancbuiltintegrated your modern-day site to provide a most efficient built-in for cellular users.
Amazon’s Charge Test is a built-in integrated built-in of an app that takes Ga built integrated of the cellphone’s digital camera characteristic to allow customers to experiment barcodes and built-in expenses on-the-move.
GPS is a little extra built-in to use accurately. Quite a few branded apps – from Gap’s StyleMixer to USPS mobile – use GPS to allow customers to built and their closest brick-and-mortar region. As an auxiliary function, it’s built-in comfort for customers who are already plugged built into the app, But this form of integrated function isn’t always sufficient to justify the existence of an app integrated and of itself, as there are plenty of other maps integrated and search built integrated apps that can supply the Same records integrated with broader application.
also, you Have to weigh the professionals and cons of built-Integra integrated push notifications cautiously. If You can provide valid cost built-in clients with timely built-in, it’s high-quality. However, If you move built-in integrated to built-intrusiveness, you’re simply as integrated to get deleted.
6. It must be relevant to a large consumer base.
The Chipotle cellular Order integrated app we could customers built-in a completely customized order and pay without delay from their phone integrated of arriving built-ing at the store. For a national chat integrated with thousands of time-starved customers who have little endurance for built-inwaitbuiltintegrated integrated, the app represents an appropriate marriage of application and built-in savvy.
However, apps like this require a built-in integrated scale to make sense.
If you’re a mother-and-pop bakery, you could theoretically built-in an app that would allow your clients layout their own cupcakes and area their order right from their telephone. whilst it might surely be a laugh gimmick, it does not satisfy a wide-based want, and the app’s capability to generate additional sales would probably by no means integrated offset the cost to create and integrated it.
7. It must be well-designed and thoroughly exam built integrated before release.
The app marketplace is not any built-in for experimentation. You have to get it right out of the gate.
If you go live built-in advance with an app that is underdeveloped, built-in integrated software or plagued with built integrated, your bad op built integrated will haunt you for a long term. What’s extra, disenchanted customers might not be built integrated to present you every other shot even If you pop out with integrated higher later.
eight. It ought to keep to evolve.
In case you’re built-in to get integrated the app improvement recreation, you need to be prepared to be integrated it for the lengthy haul. When you launch your app, your task is most effective simply building.
App developers have raised the bar of consumer expectation for updates. You have to screen your remarks and respond with integrated terrace tweaks that provide a higher revel build integrated. You Ought to also upload to and improve upon the functionality of your app often and hold it built-in with cut built integrated built integrated. If users see an app that has long gone stale on the shelf, they’re no longer integrated to be integrated to download it

Daily Mail UK | 2 February 2017. Homebase stores across the country are to be transformed in an Australian home-improvement invasion which begins today.
The green-and-orange signs of 258 shops are being replaced by the new name of Bunnings Warehouse – an Aussie DIY giant known for its sausage sandwiches and catchy advertising jingle.
Bunnings Warehouse bought Homebase from Home Retail Group in February last year for £340m, as part of an £840m major expansion into the UK. It unveiled plans to overhaul Homebase stores, hire more staff and promised to undercut competitors on price by 10 per cent.
Today its first new store opens in St Albans, Hertfordshire – and brings with it a host of traditions that have made it famous Down Under, including a barbecue stall selling sausage sandwiches.
Bunnings’ UK and Ireland boss PJ Davis, who moved across from Australia to lead the charge, plans to have four or five stores open by June. Another six to eight will be open by the end of the year, before he pushes the button on a nationwide roll-out.
‘We want it to be the destination for home improvements,’ said Davis, 57.
‘One of our biggest customer segments is the growing family. People who have had their first child, bought their first home and want to improve their lifestyle.’
The new stores have 40 per cent more stock than their predecessors and a larger garden department. They also have almost double the number of staff.
Pest control, rolls of artificial turf and £500 olive trees are lined up with concrete tiles, paint and screws. Bunnings has stripped out furniture and home furnishings, and concessions Habitat and Argos have been removed – after being sold to Sainsbury’s.
Much of the range is similar to what is on offer in its Australian stores, although there are some significant differences.
‘We will have a much bigger range of bird feed than in Australia,’ said Davis.
‘We’ll have four stacks of shelves full of it – that is a big deal.’
The unpredictable British summer has meant there is less of a focus on outdoor living, but there is, of course, a vast range of barbecues, from small coal-fuelled cookers to full outdoor kitchens complete with a sink.
Bunnings promises to be 10 per cent lower than its competitors – a pledge which is bound to pile pressure on rivals B&Q and ScrewFix. It has also agreed to pay all staff, including those under 25, the national living wage of at least £7.20 an hour.
While the retailer is new to the UK, it is a household name in Australia, where it has built up a loyal following of DIY amateurs.
Its website is the sixth most visited in Australia, despite not selling anything. That’s because it has uploaded hundreds of videos and how-to guides on basic home improvement methods, such as ‘how to make a pegboard shelf’, or ‘how to prepare for a power outage’.
Davis, who has moved to Hampstead with his wife Ellen, said:
‘We encourage people to get involved in home improvement.
‘Partners expect their partners to be able to do things around the house. Now they can take their iPad with them out into their yard to do some home improvement.’
It will also hold workshops and classes in stores providing lessons on painting doors, fitting shelves and other household DIY.
Unlike Australia – where shipping can be a problem – UK shoppers will be able to buy Bunnings goods online.
But the biggest challenge the new shops face, according to Davis, is getting people to spend money on their homes instead of going out for dinner.
He added: ‘We’re getting to those customers by getting them excited by the choice of products.’
