Ok guys I was looking at pics of Canvas Ashlyn with her masquerade mask and this Ashler scenario popped into my head picture this: Ashlyn’s parents work for a spy agenc, Ashlyn accidentally finds out and is now forced into the agency by her parents because “she knows too much” Ashlyn was around 12 when she found out and the three of them would go on family spy missions. But however now that Ashlyn is 16 her parents feel she’s experienced enough to go on missions solo. Ashlyn is sent on a mission and must infiltrate a masquerade ball and track down the host as he stole a precious gem. Everyone has a mask so Ashlyn knows it’s gonna take a lot of searching to find this target but while trying to snoop around the venue someone notices her and drags her back to the party and obviously Ashlyn is upset that she can’t finish her mission and because she hates social interaction. This is where Tyler comes in, Tyler is an assassin that works for an agency. in this AU their parents split up, mom took Tay and Dad took ty, Dad gets really ill and inevitably dies Tyler is now a lost 9 year old boy who can’t pay rent. Someone finds him in an Alley way just sitting there and offers to give him a place to stay but for a cost: he lets them take him under his wing and becomes an assassin . Training untill he was 10 and going on missions that were often sketchy,bloody and full of murder since 11 he was pretty messed up and was often unhappy with himself and didn’t like his job but.. this was survival. Now he’s 16 and is given a target,the host of the masquerade ball to assassinate. Another Assain apart of Tyler’s agency hacks into the security cameras and feeds Tyler info through a hidden ear peice. Receiving the info Tyler finds out that the host is somewhere within the party on the dance floor. Trying to get through the crowd he bumps into a green masked,ginger girl who was looking beautiful tonight. Tyler has no idea who this masked stranger is but Ashlyn is able to recognize him in seconds. Tugging on his tie Ashlyn is glaring daggers at him, “Listen pal I know exactly who you are. And I don’t know what your planning but stay.out.of.my.way” Tyler is obviously put off by this and you can the shock through his mask. Pushing her off him, “Ok Ma’am I don’t know what your problem is but you don’t know me.” Ashlyn says, “Oh really, whispering in his air so as to generously not blow his cover, “Tyler Hernandez. Well known Assasin. You hear a few things while being a spy.” Now flabragasted Tyler whispers back “How do you-Who are you?!” “Ashlyn Banner, international spy.” Tyler says, “Alright, carrot head why don’t we go somewhere more private” Ashlyn says “I’m not looking to talk” Tyler not listening grabs her by her wrist and tries to pull her away until… “WHERE ARE YOU YOUNG LOVERS GOING?” Tyler and Ashlyn stutter “Uhm- Uhm no where no where at all-“ the masked stranger says “well instead of sneaking out to kiss like you young folk do why not dance together instead” Ashlyn says “oh we really shouldn’t” and the next moment there are Ashlyn and Tyler in the center of the ball, Tyler lost in Ashlyn’s gorgeous green eyes astonished by how beautifully and elegantly she dances. As he twirls her around Ashlyn feels butterflies in her stomach and stares right back into Tyler’s eyes. She doesn’t know why and what she’s feeling but what she does know is she hates it. This is nothing but a distraction to her. She has responsibility…

If I had to take a shot for every time someone mischararcterizes Gon , I would be an alcoholic.

But in all honesty the amount of times I've seen people present Gon as an oblivious , innocent guy with only two working brain cells who can't tell the definitions to basic terms and words is too much.

Like the amount of love confession fics from Killua's side I have seen with this dialouge

Killua : I want to be more than friends

Gon : You mean best friends ?

Killua : No more

Gon : Bestest of best friends

Like I'm sorry but Gon is not that dumb to not know what Killua must be implying.

I think that because Killua has always been the more calculated and reserved one people automatically assume he must be more intelligent than Gon. And because Gon can be reckless + that unfortunate math scene ; people just labeled him as stupid and decided to roll with it.

And I want to talk about that

First of all, let's ask ourselves what does it mean to be intelligent?

By a definition I've found on the internet it says that being intelligent means " having or showing the ability to easily understand things or to deal with new or difficult situations " There's not a point in this description where it says in what external way intelligence is shown. And it's because there are different types of intelligence and while in some areas of life you might be a literal expert , in others you might feel like a little baby trying to to make their first steps.

For example , someone can be very academically gifted, but they are not life smart. Like they can have straight A's , absorb information with no effort and etc , but they can't go anywhere alone because they will get lost.

Or someone can be very emotionally intelligent. They always know what to say , how to act and they are very mature. But they struggle academically. They make amazing leaders or social workers but you ask them to calculate a simple math question and it's the end for them.

See ? Both of these examples show how in different ways intelligence can be shown , but it doesn't mean that one is less important than the other.

Gon might be reckless , bad at math and not as observing and calculated as Killua is , but that does not make him any less intellectual. And there are definitely areas of life where Gon is more knowledgeable than Killua is.

Let's start with the first example. When Tonpa gives out the orange juice , Gon spits it out a few seconds later because the juice tastes wierdly to him. After this scene Gon explains that the reason he knows all that is because he posses a great knwoledge on plants and can tell when something tastes bad. Killua on the other hand drinks it because well he knows that poison won't affect him , due to the training he has endured. However if you really think about it if it wasn't for his immunity to poison , Killua might've not known the difference as easily as Gon did.

Now let's look at the 4th phase ( ? ) of Hunter exam , when Gon is hunting Hisoka to get his badge. And throughout this whole ordeal you can see a great strength that Gon posses which is his ability to observe things in the enviroment around him. He uses butterflies to help him locate Hisoka , and uses flying birds as a way of practice.

Like this shows us that Gon's intelligence is very much focused on the external world. He knows about plants , animals , knows how to make use of his environent and etc.

While someoene like Killua who did not grew up on an island could've a harder time doing something like that if it wasn't for his assasin training. And I'm not saying that to make Killua look stupid now. I'm just stating that there are parts of life where Gon is definitely more knowledgeable than Killua because both of them had a different upbringing.

I really really wish that people recognized that because a character doesn't display the textbook stereotype of an intelligent person doesn't automatically mean that they are stupid

AITA if I (4180M) do my job as royal advisor to my (2550F) Queen assasinate her false friends?

As any well adjusted man of high honor and status would, I wish to seek a safe future to reach perfect paradise in, and our queen is the key to such a task, she's beautiful and incredibly creative in magical and technological fields and because of her our kingdom has reached something of a golden age- however she is... To put it lightly, not the brightest. She has a dreadful history of befriending morally questionable individuals that she spends far too much time with.

Now, the thing is I'd be FINE if these guys had no real influence- but they do and I fear that they are using the poor queen to their advantage- she has three friends. Two astrals and a fecto (no they're not fully extinct appearantly), the butterfly astral has an odd obsession with death and wishes to teach the queen twisted and forbidden traditions, I'd have no doubt in my mind that freak is studying necromancy- one of the most morally disgusting arts, the bird astral is vile and too powerful for anyones own good- I'd say he'd wipe out an entire planet if he had a bad day! And the fecto is... Well. Just off putting and, unreasonably violent- usually towards me for NO good reason- they're a psychic so I fear they influence poor queenies mind in negative ways, no doubt a bid for the throne...

Clearly, these brutes have no place near the queen and should be executed publicly.

Assasination Classroom: Tadaomi Karasuma

You were one of the children's parents and when a parent teacher conference was needed, the two of you met. He enjoyed your company and the rest is history between the two of you. He loves your personality from your stubbomness to your kind heart, he feels like he can open up to you and show a side he doesn't show to most people.

Karasuma isn't much of an affectionate person, but when you're upset he's there to comfort and be by your side. His favorite thing to do is cuddle and hug, he loves being close, especially after a long day at work.

When the two of you are out he gets worried very easily because of his job, so he makes sure to stay close in case something were to happen. One time, you had gotten lost and he ran around everywhere looking for you only to find you in an empty place by yourself. He never felt so worried in his life.

This man definitely holds the door for you, whether it be a car door or an actual door, he is holding it open. Brushing off your thoughts, you waited patiently until your friends arrived. With the timer almost up, you became extremely worried as they had only entered with about a minute to spare. 

You rushed over to them. "Gon! Killua!" you yelled happily.

"Hey (y/n)!"

"Gosh don't make me worry like that! I thought I was gonna have to leave you all behind!" you teased, putting Killua in a headlock and ruffling his hair, laughing at his protests.

With you reunited with your friends, you found out why they spent so much time in the tower. Damn horny Leorio... you thought while walking out of the tower with them.

The examiner explained that for the fourth phase, you would all be travelling to Zevil Island, where you would hunt each other, for your tags of course, by using any means necessary. You drew lots, and your target's tag was worth three points, as was your own. You needed six points to pass the phase. Anyone else's tag was only worth one point.

Pretty soon, you were called up to draw your lot. You had to wait in anticipation as everyone drew one, waiting until the last person drew to pull the sticker off, revealing your targets.

Nerves pulsing through you, you pulled the sticker off, to see your target was applicant number 301.

You looked around. Who is that?  Most people had already taken off their own badge to hide it, but you really didn't see much point in doing so. Coincidentally, neither did Gittarackur, number 301.

Great. I just had to get pinhead huh? Fuck! This is going to be way more difficult than I thought...

Sighing, you started to think of a plan. Unfortunately, you were probably going to have to use your nen, which you were hoping to keep a secret just a little bit longer.

You were so immersed in forging a plan to get his badge, you didn't even notice the sly clown that was looking over your shoulder at your target number.

"I could help you if you'd like," he said over your shoulder.

"No thanks. Don't need it," you replied, ignoring  the way his proximity gave you butterflies, how his scent invaded your nose, clouding any hope for clear judgement. Ignoring that how he offered you help made a blush creep across your cheeks, and definitely ignoring how you had hoped he would continue pestering you.

You even ignored the letdown you had felt when he walked away.

Making your way onto the boat that would take you to the island, you chatted with Gon and Killua about your pasts. 

You learned that Killua was from the infamous Zoldyck's, the long time and all powerful family of assasins. You also discovered that Gon was determined to find his father, Ging Freecss, whose name you had heard been mentioned once or twice.

"Tell us about your past, (y/n)!" Gon said excitedly.

"Yeah we know almost nothing about you," Killua added.

"Heh, well you're not the only one."

The boys stared at you confused, waiting for you to continue. Standing up and leaning against the side of the boat, you took a deep breath, inhaling the calming smell of the saltwater below.

"You see, I'm from Meteor City."

"Meteor City?" Gon asked.

"Yes. The city where no one exists. I grew up there by myself. I had almost no friends, no allies, basically no one on my side. But, I did have one person who I could rely on. Someone I could trust," you took another breath and sat back down beside them, ready to dig into your past.

"Basically, my parents had me for the sole reason of becoming the best assassin in the world. They started training me the second I was born. I went through gruelling torture sessions, hours of intensive training, along with some emotional abuse when I didn't learn something fast enough, or when I made a mistake."

"I don't remember much about who my parents were in general, but I always remember sneaking out late at night to meet up with Kiri, my best friend. We had met the first time I ran away. She had been scavenging for food, and we quickly hit it off. We had a designated meeting spot, a secluded ruin of a building."

"Almost every night, we'd meet up there and stare at the stars, or just lay in silence and bask in the comfort of each other. That is until she was killed. After that, I was completely alone until I met you guys."

"One night, I had just been hurled a flurry of curses and swears thrown at me from my father. Stuff like, 'You'll never be good enough!' and 'Stop being so pathetic and take the pain!' It was after I couldn't take any more of the chains, the whips, the stabbing, electrocuting, and had passed out."

"When I had arrived at our spot, Kiri was on the ground, bloodied and barely alive, clothes ripped up. There was a group of mafia men standing over her, one of which was just doing his pants back up. That's all I really remember before I saw nothing but red."

"Before I knew it, all the men were dead, their heads torn off by yours truly. I had run over to her, to see if I could even say sorry for not being there to protect her, but she was already gone. I just hope she saw that I killed them, I killed them all!"

You stopped as Killua threw his arms around you, and Gon wiped a tear off your face.

Letting yourself break a little more each tear, you slowly stood back up after you heard the bell ring signalling the ship's arrival.

Looking in the mirror, you despised what you saw. The puffy eyes. The red cheeks. You were not weak. You didn't cry. You looked down at your hands, squeezing the sides of the sink. No remorse. No remorse, you chanted in your head, almost like a mantra. Squeezing so hard, you broke the porcelain of the sink and looked up at yourself one last time, anger rearing it's head. You punched the mirror, shattering it, shards of glass embedding themselves inside of your knuckle.

You left the bathroom and went back to the main deck, ignoring the looks people gave you. Hisoka was already gone, and you were next to leave.

When the girl called your name, you walked towards the forest, knuckles dripping with blood, hoping to see at least one person. You needed to kill. 

Killing wasn't something you enjoyed doing, but it was something that you had been trained to do. Something comforting, almost, and whenever you did it, you felt it brought you closer to Kiri.

Not realizing how far you had walked, you hopped into a tree and waited for the poor victim who you would see first.

I tend to be on the more talkative side, I have a habit of rambling about an array of topics that end up making no sense because I switch stories halfway through, although I'm quiet when it comes to new people, around friends I'm physically incapable of shutting up.

I'm pretty disorganized, like really disorganized, but I can usually find what I'm looking for, it's kinda an organized chaos kinda thing, except it's not organized and I'm just good at remembering where I put stuff.

My hobbies include gardening, playing guitar (music is a big thing for me and my family), going on long walks with absolutely no destination, and cooking/baking.

I absolutely *hate* when people don't listen to what I have to say, which happens pretty often, dont know if people are tired of hearing me talk so much or if they never bothered listening to begin with, but its annoys me so much when someone asks me a question I've already answered, or don't pay attention to a story I'm telling.

I'm the oldest of four, two little sisters and a little brother, they're energetic to say the least, but I enjoy being around high energy people, I grew up with it, so it's what I'm comfortable with. People who are monotone all the time freak me out.

It was pretty akwards when the two of you first met, the two of you were both silent just staring at each other, waiting for someone to talk first. Once that encounter was over with though, things: changed the more you got to know him and know the type of person he is. You broke out of your shy shell and became a social butterfly, unlike him who was still fairly silent but he made sure to listen to everything that you said to him. He's more of the listener type than the speaker type,

For your guys first date together, he planned to make dinner for the two of you but he lost track of time and before he knew it you were inside his house with a sweet smile on your face. The two of you then began to cook together sharing laughter and smiles, enjoying the moment together. He was embarrassed at first when losing track of time and ruining the surprise, but when seeing the look on your face at the sight of being able to help cook with him, he would do anything to see that look again.

When he found out about your wide span of knowledge of flowers, he made sure to buy you flowers every time the two of you went out. He expects you to tell him about the flowers and share whatever knowledge you have about them. After a while of dating, he knows almost everything about flowers and knows which one is the best to get for a certain situation and how to tell what type of flowers to get someone. Assasination Classroom: Karma Akabane

Teasing is something we all know Karma does, and it's something he's not going to stop doing. especially for someone he likes. You were used to his playing and teasing though since all of it was light hearted and wasn't anything too extreme. His teasing is usually done to see a smile on your face, which will then bring a simile onto his face knowing he was able to make you happy.

Long Walks through the park or anywhere for that matter are a must with Karma. He enjoys going on them to clear his mind and to just listen to the soft sounds of nature around him. His favorite is the beach and being able to feel the sand and being able to hear the soft sounds of waves in the background.

When Karma first met your siblings, it was a quick friendship between them all. He made sure to be able to connect with all of them in a certain way that would make them approve of him and it worked. He's now the fan favorite of your household and your siblings always wonder when he's going to be coming back so they could talk and hang out with him. Everytime he comes over, he makes sure to spend a little bit of time with your siblings and do whatever they are in the mood for.

Host Club: Honey - Senpai

When he first heard you play the guitar, he fell in love, needing to hear it all the time. Everytime that he comes over, expect to be asked to play for him. He thinks it's the most beautiful thing he's ever heard and loves how skilled you are at it. Tells Mori all about it the next day and explain every detail of the song and the way your fingers strummed the chords perfectly.

Bakery Dates are a must in this relationship, I mean it's Honey-senpai, what did you expect from him? You guys go to all sorts of bakeries together and try different types of treats and meals together enjoying every single one of them. His favorite are bakeries that only have cake, you gusy spend so much money there it's shocking that you're not banned from the amount of cake Honey eats.
