I KNOW YOU SAID MAYU BUT PINK/RED TSUKI PULLING THROUGHHHH
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I just imagine, with you describe Idol!Y/n to be, like if Jerry came to a fansign and despite being way in the back waiting, she hears her name and sees this:
Tumblr media
"Jerry!!!" (or Unnie if you wanna be cutie)
(sorry but Tsuki has a gif for everything she's such a meme)
or if Jerry watched another variety (specifically a halloween special) and sees Idol!Y/n being taken away for 'threatening' everyeone with the damn gun (I know that Jerry would either be pissed that people were 'manhandling' her or laugh because yknow,,she handles REAL guns not the little toys Idol!Y/n uses in the variety show. LIttle thing can't even use the toy gun right hm? I'm letting my inner Jerry speak lol) :
Tumblr media
I think that I would put that under the pink category haha, at least in those lights!! It's kind of that color I'm imagining♡♡
Would love for yn to call Jerry "Unnie", however they're the same age in this one-shot, so, technically if I'm not wrong, it'd be "jerry-ya" but I find it a bit cringe when authors put in those honorific when it's written in English🥲
Lmao Jerry would be both humored and angry beyond limits. Who dare touch you and why are you so cute with (fake) weapons?😍 she would love to teach you handle real guns instead. She finds it adorable how little yn can't handle even the least harmless of weapons♡ good thing that Jerry is there to protect her♡♡

In short… my blog is just for fun. Funny observations, silly jokes, comparisons and analysis just because I like it. And… to express emotions. Sometimes I write short stories, but nothing major, I make summaries to fill in the gaps in the translations. And since I am reading several games at the time, my posts change from game to game pretty randomly. Again… it's just for fun, mine and everyone else who wants to follow my example. About me is here (in case you wanna know). The meaning of the link colors is here. Currently working on is here. Ally's fan-girl posts here.
Tumblr media
I'm not a native speaker of either English or Japanese. I don't know Japanese at all, but I have my own ideas about how this language works, because I started learning Korean, and these languages have some similarities. Based on that, there may most likely be errors in my translations/posts. I use translation app (two actually) and rewrite the text to a readable state. Some phrases are not clear to begin with, and I use my gut feeling and some experience of reading such poorly translated texts that have taught me to see meaning in them. My summaries are always full of my comments and jokes. If you prefer a clean translation, then you definitely won't like it. So… you have every right not to trust my translations. I do them so that others can familiarize themselves with the events and main routes. Not in detail, but in general. I don't have enough knowledge for more.
Tumblr media
There are several people who do full translations, and I am very grateful to them for what they do. This is an incredibly difficult job that requires a lot of time and concentration. @/judesmoonbeauty @/kurishiri @/archiveikemen @/dear-mrs-otome @/dark-frosted-heart @/aishangotome @/otomehoneyybearr @/caffedrine @/aquagirl1978 @/mayu-otome @/reccyls @/myusuchaa @/sakura-samsara Most likely, there are even more of them, I just haven't found them yet.

Words: 1.6k
"Class, we have a new transfer student joining us. She's been living in America for quite some time and has chosen to join our school now that she's back in Japan. Behave and be nice." The teacher announced. She motioned for you to join the class. You entered the classroom and gave a respectful bow to your classmates.
"Thank you for letting me join your class." You said shyly, looking down at your feet.
"Introduce yourself." Your teacher encouraged.
"My name is Y/N Sohma." You said, still looking down.
"No way." You heard someone say. You looked up, shocked, locking eyes with Kyo Sohma. Near him with wide eyes was Yuki Sohma. You had heard that a few of the Sohma kids attended here, but you hadn't expected to be thrown in a classroom with them. You definitely didn't expect to share a class with your twin brother, Yuki.
"Please make your way to an empty seat, and we can get class started." Your teacher said. You thanked her and made your way to an empty seat. You tried to ignore the whispers as your class members snuck glances at you.
"Who is that, Sohma?" A quiet voice asked. You looked out the corner of your eye. A petite brunette girl was leaning toward your brother's desk.
"My sister," Yuki mumbled out.
"I didn't know you had a sister." The girl said with a small smile.
"Yeah." He said quietly. You looked away, eyes burning with angry tears. Of course, no one knew he had a sister. Why would he want to talk about you? The family shame.
"Alright, class. Let's focus." Mayu-Sensei said, pulling everyone's attention to her.
~•~
School was finally over, and you were trying to get your stuff together before you got swarmed by people wanting to know all about the new transfer student. You also wanted to get out before Yuki or Kyo could try and talk to you, though you doubted they would. You were an outsider, so why would they? You were making your way down the hallway when you were pulled into an empty classroom.
"Y/N," Yuki said, his voice hard. "What are you doing here?"
"What does it matter to you?" You asked, your voice holding the same tone. You go to leave, but he grabs your wrist.
"Have you been by to see our parents? Akito?" Yuki asked.
"Why would I? Akito wants nothing to do with me, and my so-called parents abandoned me. They aren't my parents. I have a mom." You spat out and pulled away. You were shaking in anger as you walked away from him. How dare he question you? Like you wanted to be here. You rather be back in America with the woman you considered your mother.
You were born five minutes after Yuki was. Your parents were so excited. What if you were a zodiac spirit as well? They had gotten lucky with already having Ayame as the snake. They just discovered that Yuki was the famed rat. What would you bring to the world? Your birth mother hoped for the tiger while your father wanted you to be the ox or sheep.
After your mother pushed you out, they handed the new baby girl to your father. You instantly transformed. How disappointed where they were when the smoke cleared and they saw a baby panda. Your mother refused even to name you. The panda hadn't been born in 60+ years. When Akito found out, they wanted to call you Doro, which roughly translates to dirt or mud. They thought it was hilarious.
After realizing that Akito would never approve of you, your parents gave up custody. You were a nameless infant in the Sohma orphanage until one of the workers fell in love with you. She adopted you and named you Y/N. You wanted nothing after she took you in, raising you as her child. Your mother begged Akito to give you a chance, but Akito said they'd rather you die. After years of pleading for forgiveness of the panda's previous sins with no luck, your mother up and moved the two of you to America. You stayed there from the age of 9 until your mother died. Now you were forced to come back, but this time alone.
You were so lost in your thoughts, and you weren't paying attention to your surroundings which is why you didn't notice the boy standing in front of you. That was until you were both on the floor.
"Haru!" A voice yelled, concerned, and you looked up to see a boy hovering over you. It was both and blessing and a curse. It was a blessing because at least it was another cursed Sohma and not a regular boy, so there was no transformation. A curse because it was Hatsuharu Sohma. You had the biggest crush on him as a child. Not that it mattered, you doubted he knew who you were.
"Y/N?" He asked, still looking down at you. He knew your name?
"Haru, are you okay?" The same voice asked. You looked over and saw Momiji. More Sohmas go here? How many were you going to run into on a day-to-day basis?
"I'm fine," Hatsuharu replied, climbing to his feet. He held out a hand to you, which you cautiously took. He pulled you up and knelt to pick up the book you dropped.
"Y/N? What are you doing here?" Momiji asked curiously after getting a look at you. He still looked like the small innocent child from your memories. "I thought you were in America."
"Not anymore." You replied quietly. "I, um, I gotta go." You scurried away. The two boys watched you disappear down the hallway.
~•~
School had been over for a few hours, and you had a quick stop to make before you headed to work. You locked the door to the apartment your mother had prepared for you.
Your mother had gotten sick at the beginning of the year. Her cancer was aggressive and deadly. After she found out she was ill, seeing as she still had her apartment from your childhood, she set it up so you could move in there. She had prepared everything ahead of time. The money she got from the Sohmas was set to go into an account, but you refused to touch it. You didn't want anything they could give you. That's why you got a job. Something that could help pay the bills and your school fees.
You found yourself on a familiar pathway, remembering this walk like the back of your hand. You were headed to the house of Shigure Sohma. He was the only Sohma that you cared to see. You knocked on the door, hoping Shigure was home. You were surprised to see the brunette girl from class opening the door.
"Oh, hello!" She said with a big smile.
"Um, sorry. I think I got the wrong house." You said, taking a step back. You felt yourself run into a hard surface. You turned around to see Kyo. You moved to the side and bowed an apology.
"What are you doing here?" He asked, his voice hard.
"I'm looking for Shigure." You responded, not looking directly at him.
"Follow me." He said, stepping into the house and kicking off his shoes. You followed behind, confused. What was that girl doing here? Was this still Shigure's house? What has Kyo doing here? You followed him past the kitchen into the living room area. Yuki jumped up in anger when he saw who had followed behind Kyo.
"Why the hell is she here?!" Yuki asked angrily.
"Mind your business, you damn rat!" Kyo yelled in response. You stayed silent as you watched the two of them yell at each other. You remember how much they hated each other as kids—watching how they interacted from a distance.
"Guys." The girl muttered, her face turning red as she watched the two boys argue back and forth.
"Now, now, boys. Don't argue in front of Tohru." A voice said after the door from a side room opened up. You looked up to see Shigure looking at you in shock. "Y/N?"
"Hey, Uncle Shigure." You said shyly, looking back down at your feet. His feet came into your view, and you looked up, and he pulled you into his arms.
"Is she?" He asked, and you nodded, squeezing your eyes to hold back the tears. Shigure was the only person from the Sohma clan who knew. "I was wondering why Yuki had been pouting."
"I was not pouting!" Yuki yelled and stormed out of the room. We all watched him in silence.
"Uncle? I thought Yuki was your brother. I'm so confused." Tohru said, her face pale and her hair sticking out in different directions.
"Y/N's adoptive mother is my younger sister," Shigure explained. You looked at the girl in wonder. Why was she here? Shigure must've noticed your gaze on her because he motioned to the girl. "This is Tohru Honda. She's been staying with us since her mother's passing, and before you ask, yes, she knows."
"How?" You ask, confused.
"There was a mishap, and long story short, we accidentally transformed in front of her. She's been here a year now, with permission from Akito." Shigure explained. Your face soured at the mention of Akito.
"I need to go. I have work." You said, starting to make your way toward the door.
"You know Akito will want to see you," Shigure said as you opened the door. You stopped in your track and turned your head to look at him.
"Akito doesn't always get what Akito wants." With that, you shut the door and went on your way.

This is the second of what could potentially be a 4 part translation of the December 2021 Issue of Animage magazine. The translations are broken down as follows and links will updated once translations are posted
Part 1: Interview 1 of 2 with Director Hishida
Part 2: Interview 2 of 2 with Director Hishida
Part 3: Interview with MAYU of Little Glee Monsters
Part 4: Interview with Koyama Keiichiro of NEWS (someday... maybe)
The Parent-Child Dogs Who Are the Same
“Hanyō no Yashahime”, which depicts the descendants of the Dog General who once ruled over the Western Lands, is packed with dog type characters. Among them, is Inuyasha not the first one who comes to mind when someone says “dog boy”?
Foul mouthed and belligerent, he’ll snap at someone upon meeting for the first time, but on the flip side, he’s got a strong sense of justice and he’ll protect those he trusts with all his might. He gets angry when he’s treated like a dog, but his personality is undoubtedly that of a dog!
That part of Inuyasha’s disposition has also been passed onto Moroha, his daughter. Moroha was separated from her parents shortly after her birth, but there has always been a familial bond between the two of them (Inuyasha and Moroha) probably. In episode 28, when Moroha passed through “the border between this world and the next”, Inuyasha was able to deduce that she was his daughter just from seeing her face for an instant. Having a strong love for family might be a canine characteristic. In the truest meaning, we want to hurry and see the day when these two alike parent-child dog demons reunite!
Character Bios
Moroha Inuyasha and Kagome’s daughter. She thought her parents were dead but when she passed through the border between this world and the next, she saw her parents calling out to her from afar.
Inuyasha A half-demon who’s the son of the Dog General and Izayoi, a human. Having been sealed within the black pearl by his half-brother, Sesshōmaru, he is at the border between this world and the next with his wife, Kagome.
Tumblr media
Immediately trying to compromise with Towa and Setsuna whom she had just met, Moroha is friendly and her sense of fellowship is strong. She has lived strongly by herself, but she can get lonely easily.
Thinking of Comrades! When Setsuna lost her life in episode 24 of “The First Chapter”, for the sake of her precious friend, Moroha faced off against Kirinmaru with power she normally doesn’t show.  That strong sense of fellowship is just like a canine!
Full of Curiosity When she time traveled to the modern era, she was very curious about the various items of that era. Even with the Kappa’s foot that she got from Grandpa Higurashi, she was deeply moved like a dog that was happy to get a new toy.
Sit The “sit” position that Moroha does sometimes is the same pose that Inuyasha does. Is the blood of the Dog General, a dog demon, compelling them to do this pose?
Tumblr media
He does get lonely easily but he’s not honest. While that is his charm, if his speech and conduct are constantly twisted, Kagome’s “Sit!” might burst out!?
When Compared to an Actual Dog? Stubborn, brave, and though very wary, Inuyasha has charm. According to Director Hishida Masakazu, those characteristics are representative of the Japanese dog breed, the Shiba Inu! Then does that make Moroha, a “mini Inuyasha” who inherited her father’s disposition, a mini Shiba?
Relation With Humans Saving people one way or another, having feelings for Kagome and Kikyō who are humans, and being close to humans might be Inuyasha’s dog like traits. However, he is belligerent so when humans approach him, beware of dog!?
Reliability While normally childish, the gallant figure of him shouldering the large Tessaiga truly is reliable. The leadership of repelling enemies while protecting his comrades is just like a watchdog!
Using An Extendable Leash for Walks! Director Hishida Masakazu
— Inuyasha, Sesshōmaru, the Dog General, Towa, Setsuna, and Moroha; quite a few characters with dog demon blood make an appearance throughout the story.
Hishida: Among the demons that interact with humans, many of them are dog type (demons). Inuyasha, Sesshōmaru, and the Dog General. I think that “disposition of being able to get along with humans” is their dog like characteristic.
— What dog breed would you compare each character to?
Hishida: I think Inuyasha is like a Shiba Inu. Sesshōmaru doesn’t show affection that much so perhaps a sharp Akita. For the Dog General, a Golden Retriever, I think.
— Isn’t a Golden Retriever too cutesy? (laughs)
Hishida: When I think about it like “Well, the father was liked by everyone quite a bit, and yet there are people whose lives have been turned upside down because of him!”, I think of a very amiable dog (laughs). The three princesses would be small, adorable dogs, I think. Moroha would be a mini Shiba Inu and something like a small Akita would fit Towa and Setsuna nicely. However, Towa and Setsuna also have Rin’s blood, so thinking about it that way, maybe a Miniature Dachshund and Akita mix. I’ve never seen such a dog before though (laughs).
— If the three princesses were to turn into dogs, what do you think would happen?
Hishida: Dog Towa seems like she would become extremely attached. Dog Setsuna would be standoffish, but I feel as though she would follow you from a set distance. I feel like Dog Moroha would be jumping up and down around you…… When I think about it, other than human speech, it’s no different to how they are now (laughs).
— By the way, do you own a dog Director Hishida?
Hishida: I had one at my parent’s house a long time ago but now I own 2 cats. It’s a lot of work taking a dog for a walk, but not taking them would be pitiable. You don’t really have to worry about that with cats. When I think they’ve come up to me for dinner, they just casually go off somewhere after they’re done eating.
— Hearing that, I’m starting to feel that if looking just at his actions, Sesshōmaru is also like a cat.
Hishida: However, in Sesshōmaru’s case, doesn’t it feel like he’s going around the same places? I don’t know if it’s a territory thing, but it seems like he’s going around in circles for a month. It’s as if he’s patrolling. He’s the *dog policeman.
(*Translator’s note: he’s referring to the dog who’s the policeman in the children’s song, “Inu no Omawari-san”)
— I see (laughs). Well then, for Inuyasha and Moroha, what sort of dog like traits do father and daughter have in common?
Hishida: I think the part where they immediately pick and take on fights is like parent and child. Also, how they act before they think and how they can be idiots, perhaps (laughs). However, Moroha can actually read letters with ease and this will be shown a little bit in a future episode. Thus, she’s not incapable of studying by any means!
— If father and daughter were to become dogs, please tells us some points to be aware of when owning them.
Hishida: It would be safer to put an extendable leash on them when going for a walk. They would probably run at full speed all of a sudden. Also, I bet they’re the type that would immediately fight a dog they don’t know and then become friendly with them soon after (laughs). Though it’s probably the same for both of them, Moroha was raised by the wolf demon tribe, so her sense of fellowship would probably be stronger than her father’s. And then on the “night of the new moon”, I think Dog Inuyasha would get lonely easily. He will become despondent like a dog that’s been startled by an earthquake or lightening, so on the first (lunar) day of the month, absolutely let him sleep on the bed with you please.

"Ah! Onii-chan! No fair! I wanted to end that freaking monster! You got your fair share of kills so lemme have more killing streaks you stinky cat!" You pulled on Kenma's hair, making him snicker.
"Too bad, so sad. You suck at this game anyway." He sticks out his tongue at you.
Ever since you've graduated from Nekoma High School, you moved out to stay with your brother since he lives nearer to your college. Your dear big brother Kenma, AKA Kodzuken, gladly invited you to his streams and openly roasts you for your skills on every game the two of you played.
The viewers had moments of laughter whenever the two of you bicker and roasting each other. Just as you both were about to finish the game, Kenma's phone rang. He answered it with an unsatisfied look on his face.
"What is it, Kuro?" He asked grumpily
"Go to sleep Pudding Heads. Doesn't y/n-chan start her part time job later? Let the girl get her beauty sleep, Pudding Head #1." Kuroo nagged on the phone.
"I'm not a kid, Kuro. And yes, she's starting her part time job at MY company, you stinky rooster head." He chided back.
Yes, Kenma gladly offered you to work with him by managing a game shop he had somehow sponsored earlier in his career. Dang Pudding Head #1 is awesome.
Putting down your controller, you took Kenma's phone and said, "Kuro-nii, are you our mom? To my concern, it should only be onii-chan that you need to nag his ears off. Not me. I'm a good sister." You said with a smirk towards Kenma.
"Shut up. Go to bed, Pudding Heads."
Beep.. Beep.. Beep..
"Ah. Is he angry?" You looked at your brother with a worried look on your face.
Kenma ruffled your hair and continue playing his game. He shrugged, "he's not. He'll be fine. That's just how he is. Now go to sleep, Pudding Head #2."
He shooed you away. Making you show the look of betrayal. Knowing that you're unable to talk back, you saved your data and waved goodbye to the viewers on his stream.
Being a good little sister, you wrapped an arm around your brother. Giving him a good night hug. A little habit the two of you did before going to sleep. The viewers awed at the short and sweet moment before them.
"Good night, onii-chan. Don't stay up too late."
He hummed and whispered, "Good night, y/n. "
~…~…~…~…~…~…~
The next morning, the both of you were late. You were greeted with an unsatisfied looking Kuroo.
Here's a short fic of Kenma x little sister!Reader I had in mind. Hope this is good enough for my very first Haikyuu fic. Requests are open!

But I Like One Piece (12)
There’s too many tripwires, tangled and snarled, waiting to ensnare them with every movement.
Uchiha’s clearly had practice navigating this web, stepping sure-footed from one indistinguishable “safe” area to the next.
The rest of them aren’t nearly as experienced.
Kiba hops into the “safe” zone Shikamaru just vacated. He stumbles forward an inch too far.
A wire twangs.
It feels like slow motion, watching the wire pull on another and that tug another, all the way to an abandoned kimono shop filled with piles of abandoned knives, kunai, and shuriken, which Hinata’s frozen in front of.
Pwack.
The last wire drifts harmlessly to the ground from where it snapped under the stress, the detonator left unactivated.
She heaves out a breath she hadn’t known she’d been holding, bracing her hands on her suddenly weak knees.
“Uh...whoops?” Kiba says, scratching the back of his head. He then yelps when Akamaru begins gnawing on his hand with his sharp little teeth as everyone complains at him at once.
“Be more careful, dog breath!!” Ino screeches, shaking a fist. “Don’t you know how bad it could’ve been if—”
Chouji shifts backwards, away from Ino’s yelling.
A wire twangs.
This one doesn’t snap harmlessly.
She doesn’t quite remember moving. She just sees Chouji’s scared face, staring in dismay at the projectiles racing towards him as the boom resonates in her bones.
She grabs him, twists his head down and away, trying to cover as much of him as she can, feels another arm grab her dress—
Pain burns across her shoulder blades.
She can’t quite bite down on her scream.
It hurts, it hurts, oh dear Merry, it hurts!!
She tries to keep herself standing despite how much she wants to collapse into a little ball and sob, telling herself she’s had worse than this, it isn’t that bad, she was shot in her last life for the love of Sunny.
The way her back burns like it’s been set aflame is a pretty good counterargument to that though.
She blinks hazily down at Chouji who, aside from looking like he’s going to cry, seems to be unharmed.
Good. That’s good.
But she seems to have shifted sideways from her original position?
The grip on her dress loosens.
Ino tilts forwards, whimpering, several needle-like projectiles embedded in her lower back, wet blood beginning to spread across the yellow of her shirt.
Chouji’s face grows even paler as she lands on his shoulder and begins to slant towards the ground.
She grabs the blonde girl by the shoulder and pulls her up to lean against her shoulder, gritting her teeth against the flare of pain the increase in weight brings.
“INO-CHAN!!” Sakura screams, sounding more scared than she’s ever heard her.
“Haruno, don’t move.” Shino barks, the buzz of his insects audible even from their position. “Why? Because another explosion could endanger their lives beyond any hope of rescue.”
Sakura stops short, eyes wide and watery, staring at their little trio like that could somehow transport her to them.
“I-I’m fiii–iiiine!” Ino blubbers against her neck, hands alternately tightening and loosening on her and Chouji’s clothes. “Don’ w-worry, a-a-a Yama-ma-n’ka d-does-doesn’t—”
Her sentence devolves into a pained wail, shoulders hitching with sobs.
She tries rubbing small circles into the crying blonde’s upper back to soothe her, tearing her gaze away from the dripping red shirt to stare up at the ruin of a grocery store that now resembles a structurally unstable pincushion.
“Ino...” Chouji says, voice trembling dangerously. “Mayu-chan...I-I’m so-sorry—”
“S’not your fault, Chouj.” She weakly tries to smile. “Not letting you get hurt.”
“Y-yeah.” Ino sniffles. “We’re go-gonna be Ino-Shika-Cho. ‘S my job t-to keep you-you numbskulls safe.”
Chouji’s eyes take on a watery shine, and he begins hiccuping dangerously.
Oh Chopper, no. A crying Ino, she can manage, but if Chouji joins in there’s no way she’ll be able to hold back the waterworks herself.
With her luck, they’ll end up setting off another tripwire and dying because their vision was impaired by tears.
Shikamaru lets out a huff, posture tense. “Stop being so troublesome. Chouji, are you hurt?”
“I-I’m fine!” He calls back, sniffing loudly and scrubbing at his eyes.
“Think you can carry Ino?” Shikamaru shouts.
Chouji nods, determined. He shuffles around very carefully, eyes fixed on the wires still surrounding them, until she can carefully maneuver Ino off her shoulder and onto his back in a piggyback carry.
Ino whimpers as the position change shifts the needles in her back.
“Do I go forward or back?” Chouji calls.
“Go back!” Kiba yells. “Blondie and Dead-Fish-Eyes need a doctor!!”
She cranes her head to look over her shoulder instead of physically turning.
It’s an awfully long way to the door of the compound.
And, aside from the spot where Lee’s standing, she has no idea where any of the past “safe zones” are.
“How can we?” She shouts. “There’s nothing to mark the path back!”
There’s a slightly horrified silence.
“Well fuck.” Kiba says. Then, “Don’t tell my Ma I said that.”
“M-maybe Sasuke-kun could go back to show the way?” Sakura suggests.
“What, and knock the rest of us into his death-trap?” Shikamaru sneers. “No thanks.”
Uchiha puffs up in indignation. “It’s not my fault!! I told you not to mess around if you didn’t wanna die! This is designed to stop that man, so if you’re too fat and dumb—”
“If Uchiha Itachi was half the ninja everybody said he was, he’ll know how to walk up walls and use roofs to avoid ground obstacles.” Shikamaru cuts in coldly. “So all this is pointless effort.”
Uchiha’s mouth works soundlessly, cheeks flushing a bright red as the other boy mercilessly continues, “Plus the junk on your compound walls are just cheap substitutes for real siege defenses, so any genin who can climb a tree could slip between the gaps.”
Ouch. She almost wants to wince in sympathy.
Uchiha’s face goes a deep, angry crimson, and he bristles like he’s seconds away from launching himself at Shikamaru, death trap between them or no, while the ponytailed boy is glaring holes through him.
“U-um!” Hinata yells, sticking an arm in the air like she’s being called on in class. “I-Ino-san and Mayu-san really need m-medical attention for their injuries! So-so w-we should focus on this first! U-Uchiha-san, you have a first aid kit a-at your house, r-right?”
“Obviously.” Uchiha snaps, not taking his eyes off of Shikamaru.
“O-okay, thank you, Uchiha-san.” Hinata fidgets. “Akimichi-san, d-do you think you can get to the next part of the pa-path towards us?”
Chouji scans the web in front of them. “I–I think I can!” He calls back. “I’ll do my best!”
“Go-good!” Hinata nods. “Ma-Mayu-san, do you need any help with your injuries?”
She rolls a shoulder, wincing at the fresh wave of pain. It hurts, but her vision’s not blacking out anymore, so...“I think I’m good, Hinata!”
“...Are you sure?” Hinata asks, doubt coloring her tone.
“As sure as I can be.” She says, pretending that the aching doesn’t make her want to scream.
The pale-eyed girl gives her a little purse-lipped expression of displeasure which really should not be visible given how far away she is, but is somehow.
“Worry not, Hinata-san!” Lee calls from behind her. “I will ensure Mayu-chan’s safety as we navigate!”
“O-okay then, I leave it to you, Lee-san!” Hinata replies.
She almost feels insulted. What, she can’t be trusted to look after herself now?
“Uchiha-san.” Hinata asks tentatively, “W-would it be alright with you if we use-used your first aid kit to treat Ino-san and Mayu-san’s i-injuries?”
There’s a silence that stretches on about a minute too long for comfort.
“Sure. Whatever.” Uchiha turns his back on them. “No messing around this time, got it?”
They continue to the main house in silence.
The only noises are Ino’s whimpers and gasps of pain when Chouji lands a little too hard in the next spot. He always murmurs a soft apology and tries not to jostle her too much.
They all breathe a sigh of relief when Uchiha finally opens the front door and crosses the threshold, then turns to help Hinata over the last of the wires so she’s inside as well.
He promptly turns and stalks off into the darkness of the house, leaving her to try to help Shino on her own.
She feels tired to her very bones by the time she finally gets to the door from trying to ignore the fire on her shoulder blades, and it’s a struggle not to sway on her feet as she carefully navigates the last few obstacles.
It’s a comfort to know Lee’s behind her, almost comically alert, when her foot buckles and he immediately grabs her to keep her from toppling.
Between him and Shino, she’s somehow manhandled the last few steps through the door, then hustling her down the corridor to the veranda where Hinata’s sitting with a bowl of steaming water, a bottle of antiseptuc, several piles of torn up clothes and gauze, and Ino lying face down on an old, and now blood-stained towel.
Chouji’s pressing wads of gauze to her back as Sakura pulls the needles out with a pair of tweezers and deposits them to the wide, face pale but determined. Hinata then carefully swabs the wound with steaming water and antiseptic, and presses more gauze down on it.
She thinks she remembers something from her past life saying you shouldn’t pull out things you’ve been stabbed with, but she doesn’t have enough confidence in it to interrupt the delicate operation here.
Despite all the small cries she’s emitting, Ino’s lying still as a statue, one of her hands gripping Shikamaru’s, who is also lying face-down on the floor for some reason.
Uchiha’s just standing in the garden, shoulders tense, resolutely not looking back at them.
She’s lead to another old towel, where Kiba’s waiting nervously with another bowl of steaming water.
Akamaru licks her cheek as she lies down on it, so she lifts a careful hand and scratches him behind the ears.
“So, uh.” Kiba says. “Now what?”
Hinata cranes her head as Sakura begins wrestling with the second to last needle. “U-um, it’d be best if you could get the c-cloth out of the way? So you can clean out the wounds?”
There’s spluttering above her. “B-but she’s a girl! I can’t take a girl’s clothes off! Do you know how bad my Ma would kill me?!”
Oh for the love of Chopper—
She rolls the top of the towel down so she has a little cylinder under her mouth that she can lean down and bite. If she tries to bite her lip for this, it’ll likely go through again, and she does not need that on top of everything else.
Then, as quickly as she can, she yanks the straps of her dress down her shoulders, groaning in pain when tentative scabs are ripped open by the material’s movement. She pulls her arms out of it, and pushes the dress down until it‘s scrunched up around the top of her obi.
Then she thunks her head back down the floor and lets herself go limp and just hurt.
“Don’ ma’e me do tha’ ag’n.” She threatens through the towel in her teeth.
There’s a beat and then Kiba squeaks a shaky “Okay.”
She listens as a cloth is dipped into the bowl of water, biting down harder on the towel and silently praying to Chopper for this to be over quickly as it begins swabbing her shoulders.
She drops into a muzzy semi-doze under the burn of the water and the sting of antiseptic and the stiff press of gauze.
Then Uchiha yelps in a mixture of fear and outrage.
She lifts her head.
“...Lee.” She says, letting the tooth-marked and spit-soaked towel drop from her mouth.
“Yes Mayu-chan?”
“Am I hallucinating from blood loss or is there a nudist on Uchiha’s roof?”
There’s the sound of the camera shutter. Then a whir as it spits out a photograph.
“You aren’t hallucinating Mayu-chan. See?” He helpfully holds the photo of the purple-haired woman wearing nothing but a trench coat and mesh tights in front of her face.
“Thanks Lee.”
The nudist snorts. “That’s not a very respectful way to address your seniors, bratlings. You should be honored that you’re in the presence of the great Anko-onee-sama.”
“We will be, if you put some clothes on.” She replies. Then she glances behind her. “Kiba, if your nosebleed gets on my bandages, I’m telling your mom you swore.”
Kiba swears again, turning to the side and grabbing one of the spare clothes to stem the blood flow, accidentally-on-purpose kneeing her in the ribs in the process.
The nudist cackles, leaping down from the roof. “Well, aren’t you a pathetic bunch, huh? Guessing the big boom earlier was thanks to you brats fooling around?”
“You can’t be here!” Uchiha yells, little hands balled into fists. “This is Uchiha land! You’re trespassing!”
The nudist makes a show of gasping theatrically, hands pressed against her cheeks. “No, really? Well gee, guess I’ll have to—but what’s this?”
She pulls a piece of paper from a pocket of her coat with an unnecessary flourish. “Read it and weep, brat.”
Uchiha snatches the paper, eyes darting over it frantically. “A search warrant?!”
“Issued by Hokage-sama himself.” The nudist says smugly. “For disruption of the peace of Konohagakure.”
Then she straightens up. “Holy shit, is that baby Yamanaka?”
Ino makes an unintelligible sound of pain and suffering.
The nudist strides forward, raising an unimpressed eyebrow at Chouji’s attempts to shield Ino from view. To be fair, she doesn’t exactly need to do much to see over him due to her height advantage.
The nudist whistles. “Well, I knew the Uchiha clan would end with you, kiddo, but I didn’t know I’d witness it today.”
“W-what?” Uchiha’s voice has gone very high and soft. All the blood has drained from his face.
“Yeah, Inochin-chin is gonna kill you when he sees what you let happen to his precious wittle baby girl.” The nudist says blithely.
“But it wasn’t Uchiha-san!” Chouji bursts out. “I was the one who triggered the trap— if Inoichi-oji-san is gonna be mad at someone, it should be me!”
“Chouji, no—” She starts to argue.
She’s cut off by Ino making muffled noises of protest and disagreement from where she’s still face down on the towel.
The nudist raises her other eyebrow, then walks around and delivers a sharp kick to Shikamaru’s side.
He yelps, then curls around the attacked area, groaning. Ino finally pushes herself up with a muttered “oh thank Nami,” indents from the towel’s fibers embedded into her face.
“Maintaining a shadow possession jutsu even while asleep, huh?” The nudist says. “Not bad, baby Nara. You’ve probably burned your chakra pathways to shit, but not bad.”
“Daddy’s not gonna kill anyone!” Ino says staunchly. “Sasuke-kun set up those traps to defend against a traitor to Konoha, and me and Mayu-chan protected Chouji when one happened to go off. It was an accident, honest.”
“Oh sweetie.” The nudist coos. “Every accident has someone to blame for it if you look hard enough. Especially when something as important as the safety of clan heirs and the peace of the village is on the line.”
Uchiha’s gone so pale it looks like he might faint.
The nudist places her hands on her hips. “Now, as the official investigating jounin, I need to assess the threat level of this setup to the village.”
She glances around without moving an inch from where she stands. “It’s shit. It’s only a danger to genin who can’t get their heads out of their asses and civilians, and no one cares about them. Pay some chunin to dismantle it and learn how to make better traps.”
Uchiha doesn’t respond.
He’s just staring at the ground, little fists twisting the fabric of his shirt between them so hard it almost looks like it’ll rip.
“Well, not that this isn’t totally boring.” The nudist says, looking a little put out, “But Inochin-chin will have my head if I don’t get baby Yamanaka actual medical attention. Not that you haven’t been doing a good job, Hyuuga.” She gives Hinata a positively feral grin. “I’m tempted to congratulate Hiashi about his daughter’s skill as a medic nin.”
Hinata blanches, pale eyes wide. “A-ah, no, no than-thank you A-An-Anko-sama.”
The nudist snickers to herself. “Yeah, I figured as much.”
The woman bends down and hoists Ino up under one arm none-too-gently if the way she sucks air in through her teeth is any indication.
“Wait!” Sakura says. “What about Mayu-chan?”
The nudist stops and looks down at her. “What, little miss fashion disaster in the obi and leg warmers?”
“Hey!” She protests, cheeks flushing with embarrassment.
“Our leg warmers are most youthful and fashionable!” Lee argues, pulling up the leg of his trousers to show off the matching orange. “They are a valuable aid in our training as well!”
The nudist looks confused. Then her face slowly takes on an expression of fierce, unholy glee.
“Oh.” She crows with a terrifying amount of delight. “You’re Gai’s kids.”
She chokes on her own saliva. Lee goes even pinker than Sakura’s hair.
“What.” They squeak in unison.
The nudist throws back her head and cackles.
Then the woman scoops her up in a bruising grip that drives the air from her lungs and the sight of her friends goes fuzzy and tilted and warped through the film of swirling leaves.
The leaves stop swirling and they’re somehow outside the Uchiha compound.
Her head’s spinning and her body’s thrumming with the sense of wrong wrong wrong.
She promptly throws up on the nudist’s sandals.
The nudist shrieks like a banshee and flings her away to crash into the dirt, screeching about ungrateful bratlings and Gai paying for cleaning.
Her vision whites out from the pain for a few minutes.
When she can see again, a bigger Shikamaru with scars is looking down at her.
“Chakra is evil.” She tells him. “I hate it.”
He blinks. “Chakra is inherently neutral, regardless of who’s using it. Saying it’s evil is like saying your blood is evil—it doesn’t have a consciousness to comprehend things like that.”
“Yes it does.” She argues. “It just pretends not to. So it can eat the energy from our training and studying. ‘S a parasite. It’s not supposed to be there at all.”
The bigger Shikamaru snorts. “All beings need chakra to live. If you drain the chakra from, say, a tree, the tree dies. There’s nothing alive that doesn’t have chakra flowing through it, no matter how weak.”
She’s about to reply that her past life is proof of that being false, and that the tree dying might be like trying to adjust after having a lifetime of poison pumped into your veins cut off, when another man’s voice calls out, “Shikaku! Pick the poor girl up off the ground before you have a philosophical debate with her!”
The bigger Shikamaru rolls his eyes and mutters “Troublesome.” under his breath, before bending down and scooping her up to sit on his hip.

Lucky Perv Moment | Nishinoya x Reader (Part 1)
Genre: fluff, very slight nsfw
Word count: 1330
Tumblr media
- - - - -
"Is this it? Is this what they call the lucky perv incident?!" Nishinoya repeated on his mind, split seconds before his fall.
And- Thud!
The next thing he saw was exactly what he anticipated. The girl around his height just then, is now underneath him, surprised and red. With his hands on her chest, it was a mix of speechlessness, fluster, and embarassment.
"Nishinoya Yu!" they heard a loud and aggressive call. She assumed it was the name of the boy on top of her, as he turned around and raised his arms and hands awkwardly.
"D-Daichi!" the boy exclaimed with visible uneasiness and fear.
"Y/N!" she heard a familiar voice call her, it was her volleyball team captain, Suda Kanako.
"What the hell?!" she looked at Nishinoya and Daichi, obviously getting enraged.
"Nishinoya-senpai! I'm sorry!" an orange-haired boy exclaimed, making Y/N confused why he was apologizing to him, instead of her.
Nishinoya looked back at Kanako and quickly got up as the man named Daichi approached him.
"We're very sorry!" the taller man held the boy's head and bowed with him while Kanako helped Y/N stand up.
"A-are you okay?" Mayu, another team mate asked.
"Hey, what the hell, pervert!" the team captain repeated.
"Don't mind it, it was an accident, I think," Y/N calmed her down.
She tucked her hair behind her ear and pushed back her glasses, trying to straighten her looks.
"We're sorry!" the two men repeated.
"It's... it's okay," she hesitantly responded.
"Y-your necklace!" Mayu exclaimed.
"Huh?"
She looked down at the pendant hanging around her neck and was visibly shocked.
"It cracked!" Nishinoya gasped and looked up at Daichi, who still looked angry and frustrated.
"C-can we fix it?" Mayu asked, "Like a repair?"
Kanako held the pendant and investigated. Not long after, she sighed and shook her head.
"Crap! She's getting red, I don't want to make a cute girl cry," Nishinoya thought.
"I'll buy you a new one!" he promised boldly, not knowing what he was getting himself into.
"Really?"
"Yes, really!" he answered.
"Well, as he should," Kanako muttered to Y/N, glaring at the two of them.
"I'll contact you when I buy you a new one," Nishinoya added to his promise, it was getting clear to them that he might actually be taking it seriously.
"T-then can I g-get your number? So I can-"
"Nishinoya!" Daichi exclaimed the smaller boy's name, tired of his antics just to get Y/N's number.
"S-seriously?" Mayu was shocked by his seemingly oblivious and reckless personality.
"Huh?" the captain gasped.
"Alright, I'll g-give you my number," Y/N agreed, grabbing something from her bag.
"R-really?!" Nishinoya asked with a sparkle on his eyes.
"Here," she handed her phone, displaying her number.
He quickly pulled out his phone from his pocket and excitedly copied her number.
"There, I'll contact you, I swear," he repeated.
"Okay," she bowed her head, a signal of her about to leave.
"N-name?" he asked as she turned around?
"It's Ayase Y/N," she answered, not looking back, with her jersey revealing her last name.
"Wow, she's cute," Tanaka, who just approached the scene, commented, "But my heart still belongs to you, Kiyoko Shimizu!"
"Her name... It's Ayase Y/N," Nishinoya repeated.
"Tanaka, I'm entrusting Kiyoko-san to you," he held Tanaka's hand with a serious face, "I've found a woman for m-"
"Nishinoya! What you did was terrible," Daichi scolded.
"I'm sorry, I'm sorry!" Hinata came closer to them, apologizing.
"Why?" the captain asked.
"I pushed him by accident, I'm sorry!" he apologized again.
"It was fate, Hinata," Nishinoya reassured him.
"Ugh, what am I going to do with you," Daichi shook his head in frustration and groaned.
Meanwhile, as for Niiyama Girls team, the girls busied themselves comforting their shy 1st year setter, Ayase Y/N.
"I would have beat him up if I was there!" a third year pat Y/N's back.
"It was an accident, I'm sure it was. I'm really okay," she clarified to her angry seniors.
"But your necklace, what would you with that?" Amanai asked as the team secured their items in the locker room.
"The pendant's broken, but the picture inside it is safe and sound, that's what matters," she answered while putting on her shoes.
"Anyways, our first game, it's starting in 10 minutes. Let's just focus on that," she added with a shy smile.
"Ah, our precious setter," the captain commented, "You're too forgiving!"
Later on, the team went back to the court, all ready and hyped for their first game in the Spring Inter-high. The same can be said for Karasuno too, with Nishinoya more fired up for the game. Both teams won their first match, as can be expected from Niiyama Girls, also entitled the Queens.
"So, will you really buy a necklace for uh, what's her name again?" Asahi asked Nishinoya as Karasuno walked out of the arena.
"You mean the Ayase Y/N?" he corrected.
"Well, of course, it's my duty to do so," Nishinoya continued, "I can't believe this, it's fate! Definitely fate!"
"Geez, you're hyped," the older commented.
"Of course, I am."
"She's from Niiyama, right?"
"Yep, the queens," Nishinoya answered.
"Tanaka's with Niiyama then," Asahi paused and pointed to Tanaka, who was busy chatting with someone from the said team.
"What?!"
"Woah, Tanaka's really talking to a girl."
"T-that's Ayase Y/N beside her," Nishinoya noticed.
"Amanai-san, Kanako's looking for you," Y/N bashfully informed her senior, who was still having a chit-chat with Tanaka.
"Ah, okay okay," Amanai responded, "Well, I have to go now."
"I see, bye, see ya tomorrow!" Tanaka cheerfully bid his farewell as the two girls began walking away.
"Y/N-san!" Y/N heard a loud energetic voice calling her.
"First name basis already?!" Amanai reacted to the sudden call.
"Tell Kanako-senpai that I'll catch up," Y/N sighed and requested.
"Are you sure? Are you going to be okay?" the older worried for her.
"I'm sure, he doesn't mean harm, I think," she reassured.
"Fine, call us if he does something weird."
Not long after, Nishinoya approached Y/N as she turned around to face him.
"Yes?" she asked.
"I w-want to say sorry again, I really am!" he exclaimed.
"Ah, about that again," she muttered.
"It was an accident, I swear."
"That's so different from what he just said!" Asahi thought.
"It's okay now, really."
"W-what kind of necklace should I buy?" he asked, sincerely this time.
"You see, the one that broke is the locket," she spoke and approached him, showing the pendant on her chest.
"Then a new locket!" he declared.
"Yes, precisely," she nodded and smiled.
"Do you have a boyfriend?" Nishinoya blurted out on impulse.
"Boyfriend?" she clarified.
"Ah, I don't have one," she answered and tucked her hair behind her hair, one of her mannerisms.
"Alright, then I'll see you tomorrow? Day 2?"
"Yes, we won as well," she politely spoke.
"Congrats!"
"Congratulations too, I heard about your win from Tanaka-senpai."
"Y-you call him senpai? Wait, you know him?" he asked, surprised and feeling a tinge of jealousy.
"Yes, he's the wing spiker, if I'm not mistaken."
"D-do you know m-my role then?" he asked another bold question.
She paused, thinking of how he'll react if she continued pretending not to know.
"I'm the libero, just so you know," he answered his own question.
"I see," she just nodded at the loud boy.
"Also, I'm Nishinoya Yuu, just so you know too," he added.
"Okay, Nishinoya-san."
"You can call me senpai too, like you do to Tanaka," he continued blabbering.
"Well, I have to go now. Goodluck tomorrow, Yuu-senpai," she told him before turning around to leave.
There, Nishinoya stood, frozen and stunned by her. Two wins for Nishinoya Yuu today.

How to Survive Being Reborn Into an RPG, Chapter 1
CHAPTER 1
How to Deal With a Blue Slime
In a spacious backyard, many children were playing; Most in groups, others alone. All were under the watchful and caring eyes of the Priestess who ran the orphanage. Near a large stump, in a corner hidden away from the others, a pair of children were conversing. From a distance, it may have looked like they were playing with dolls.
"I... Don't really get what you're saying, Mayumi." Said the young, half-orc, boy. He scratched his head, bald save for a thick but short Mohawk of wavy black hair, in consternation. "That sounds like a really weird dream." He had a simple face, but it was open and honest. His skin was a light green complexion.
The girl beside him sighed heavily. "Grom. Are you even paying attention to what I'm saying?" She asked, leveling a glare at him. Her red hair was bright in the midday sun, long and flowing like a gentle flame. Her green eyes held far less excitement and emotion, and far more wisdom and experience, than there should be in a child's eyes.
"This wasn't a dream you dolt. I'm telling you this happened. Like, in reality."
Grom scratched his chin. "Run it by me again?"
Another heavy sigh from Mayumi. She picked up the makeshift doll made of straw and twine once more. "Fine. Like I said; this isn't my original body. Back in the other world-"
               "Like, across the sea?"
"No! Uhg... It's a different reality. I guess... I think. Anyways, it definitely wasn't on the same planet as this world. Also, stop interrupting. So, back in the other world I was a boy. In fact, I was a 26 year old man."
"But you're a girl. We bathe together so I know!"
"Stop interrupting." Mayumi grabbed the doll and moved it around a little. "Back in the other world, I was a 26 year old man. There was technology, and computers, and all kinds of awesome stuff. Personally, I liked my life. I pretty much lived at home, by myself. I worked from home, and had everything delivered. I never even had to go outside. Haaa... it was great... Hey!" She snapped her fingers in front of Grom's face, who had clearly started to check out if the glazed look in his eyes was any indication. "Pay attention, damn it! Geeze, you're dense!"
"Hahaha! Yeah, I am, aren't I?" He chuckled.
Another glare. "I wasn't praising you, dummy... Anyways... Even though it was pretty awesome in it's own way, I was still kinda depressed, you know? I was lonely. I didn't have any friends to rely on."
"You got me though! I'm your best friend, right Mayumi?"
For the first time, she smiled. It was subtle and small, but it was genuine. "Yeah, dum dum, you are." She poked his forehead. "Stop. Interrupting." She picked up the doll again and made it walk. "So, one day, I decided to go for a walk for once; To clear my mind. While I wandered, I eventually found myself at the top of a really tall building." Here she put the doll atop the stump. "I guess they were doing construction or something because the guard rail that's normally around the edge of most buildings that tall wasn't all there. I went to the edge, mostly out of curiosity. I hadn't looked off the edge of a building or cliff since I was a kid." She moved the doll on top of the stump, near the edge. "Well... I guess I had been way more depressed than I realized... because while I was up there I kept thinking about how easy it would be to just... let go and jump."
She looked up and saw Grom making a face at her. "Hey, hey, don't gimme that look... I'm not gonna do anything stupid like that, okay?"
               "...Promise?"
Sigh. "Yes. I swear. And even then, when I was thinking those things, it just made me angry at myself. I swore that I was gonna start over and make a better life for myself." Mayumi puffed her chest out a bit, proudly. Then she looked sheepish. "But... I guess a really strong wind kicked up... It, ah... blew me right over the edge."
               "And then?"
She made the doll fall slowly to the ground. "And then... I died, I guess... I remember falling, and the ground coming up at me really fast... and then... the next thing I knew, I was a baby in this world."
There was a long silence as Grom took it all in. Then he looked up at her.
"I, uh... still don't really understand it all though... I mean... Couldn't that all have been a dream or something?"
Mayumi shrugged. "I guess it's possible... but I have such vivid memories, and... if it were a dream, how would I know all the things I know about this world? I mean... This reality is basically an Role Playing Game."
"I don't... know what that is?
"Yeah... I know... but... look!" She held her fist out in front of her, then spread out her fingers. Instantly, a flat, transparent window appeared in front of her. "This! This is a status window! How do you explain this?!"
Grom looked at her like she was crazy. "Everyone can do that, though. It's just natural. Sister Lana says the gods gave us the ability to see within ourselves. It's called the 'Reflection'."
"Yeah, I know what it's called, but seriously. It's JUST like a status window in an RPG. It shows you your health, stamina, magic reserves, equipment, items... Everything! Hell, in this world, people can literally gain experience points and increase their attributes and abilities! We can select items we're carrying or equipment we're wearing and equip or un-equip them instantly! How does that make sense to you?!"
"I'm telling you, that's just normal!" Grom huffed.
"And I'm telling you it's not!" Mayumi glared.
The two friends sat there, glaring defiantly at each other for a moment. Mayumi narrowed her eyes and seemed about to say something when she noticed Grom's eyes widening and wandering to just over her shoulder. She started to turn to see what was behind her, but her friend tackled her to the ground just before a thin, gelatinous blue tendril shot past her face.
The two children scrambled to their feet and backed away quickly from their surprise assailant, Grom dragging Mayumi to safety. When they moved away a good distance, Grom positioned himself between Mayumi and their attacker. From behind, she poked her head around for a better view.
What greeted her was a blue, opalescent, translucent blob vaguely oval in shape. It was roughly half their size and, now that they had backed away, wasn't making any overt movements towards them.
"What's a Blue Slime doing this far past the Wall?"
Grom looked over his shoulder. "Mayu, get back! I'll protect you!"
She gave him a flat look. "Look, I appreciate you getting me out of the way and all. Seriously, that was cool. But the Blue Slime is an ambush predator. Now that we're aware of it, it's not particularly dangerous." She stepped out from behind him and furrowed her brows as she scrutinized the slime.
Grom grabbed her arm. "Then... we should go get Sister Lana, right? She can take care of it... Or she can get a guard from the Wall."
She shook her head, not taking her eyes off the slime. "We're about as far away from the Wall as we can get. It would take forever. And Sister Lana's a Priestess; she uses healing magic, so she wouldn't have any affect on it."
Grom snatched up a nearby rock with a grunt. "Then... I'll just smash the thing!"
               "Wait, Grom! Don't do tha-!"
With a grunt, the boy hurled the rock at the slime. It hit it's mark dead on, and seemed to splatter the thing. "Ha! That wasn't so hard! I bet I could be a guard at the Wall!"
His celebration was short lived, however, as the slime began to reform quickly. As soon as it did, it began moving towards him.
"All slimes are basically immune to physical attacks, doofus! I tried to tell you that was gonna be useless..."
"Bu... but why is it coming towards us now?" he stammered, backing up while still trying to keep Mayumi behind him.
               "Cause you're sweating."
The comment made him take his eyes off the slime to give her an look of incredulousness. "Cause what?!"
"Slimes all hunt using different methods. Blue Slimes hunt by sensing bodily fluids coming from their prey. That's how they hone in. Now... how do we take this thing down..."
Grom looked back at the slime, and twisted up his face in thought. Then he smiled and started snorting like he was trying to clear something out of the back of his throat.
"Ew. Grom. Cut that out, I'm trying to thin-"
Suddenly Grom spat out a thick mouthful of mucus off to the side. He was quite proud of the distance.
               "Gross! What's with y-..."
Mayumi grew silent as she watched the slime change directions towards where Grom's unhygienic projectile had landed.
"Hey... that was really smart! It's attracted to your... well... yeah... Anyways! That gives me a great idea! Grom, keep it distracted, okay?"
He nodded enthusiastically, happy to get praised by Mayumi, and began leading it around by spitting on the ground.
Meanwhile, Mayumi opened her status window again. "Ever since I began learning how this world worked, I've been pouring every last experience point I could scrounge up into my Magic Stat..." She mumbled to herself. "Granted, it's barely been anything; being an orphan and a child doesn't really present a lot of opportunities for monster hunting. But even rats and spiders give XP. So! Let's see if I can pull this off!"
Grom looked at her with concern. "Sister Lana said your not supposed to use that, Mayu! It's dangerous!"
"Just keep spitting! I'll be careful!" She opened up her list of Spells. Of course, she only knew one at the moment, and it was barely a spell at all. More like a trick to light candles and fireplaces. "But... If I pour a whole bunch of Mana into it... I might be able to get a nice effect." She looked up to see Grom struggling to work up any spit. "Okay. Enough talking. Lets bag some XP!"
She selected her "spell" and aimed it at the slime. "Gentle flame, guiding light. SPARK!"
With just the tiniest amount of mana, Spark could light a candle or other such item. But Mayumi poured every last bit of her miniscule mana reserve into it, creating a much bigger flame that swept across the body of the slime. The slime burst again, but this time quickly dried up and withered into nothingness.
SLIME DEFEATED! GROM AND MAYUMI GAIN 10 EXPERIENCE POINTS!
Both children saw the words pop up on their status windows and smiled.
MAYUMI HAS GAINED A LEVEL! LEVEL 2 APPRENTICE REACHED!
"Hmm... So I guess it's true that a kid doesn't get to choose their class levels, huh?" Mayumi frowned. Then she suddenly slumped to the ground as a wave of exhaustion came over her. Grom ran to her and helped her up.
               "Are you okay...?"
"Ah... yeah... I forgot about Mana Drain. But I had to use it all up or I couldn't be sure to take it out. I'll be fine after I rest. Thanks Grom."
"Of course! I'll always be there to help you out!"
This made her smile again as she put an arm around his shoulder to stabilize herself. "Apprentice... I've heard that when kids grow up, they can retrain weaker class levels into stronger ones. If that's the case, I'm already on my way to becoming a mage. Just like I wanted, heh."
"Hey, Mayumi? How'd you know your Spark would kill it?"
"Oh. Well Blue Slimes need a lot of moisture to survive. Fire dehydrates slimes like no one's business."
"You sure know a lot about monsters, Mayu."
"Well, I've been reading up on all kinds of creatures ever since we got those books donated to the orphanage. Plus, I do have all of my knowledge about games from my previous life. It helps."
At about that time, the Priestess he children knew as Sister Lana came around the corner. "There you two are!" she exclaimed in a mildly reproaching tone. She daintily lifted her dress enough to walk quickly. "I've been looking all over for you two! Come inside, quickly. We just got word that a couple of small monsters may have slipped past the Wall and made their way into the village. It isn't safe for children right now." The kind young woman tilted her head. "Why on earth are you two grinning at each other like that? And Mayumi! You look exhausted! You've been playing around with your magic again, haven't you! Oh, you two are just..." She sighed the heavy sigh of one who deals with troublesome children on a daily basis.
She bent down and lifted Mayumi into her arms. "We'll talk about that later. For now, come in. Grom, get in the bath with Mayumi and watch over her will you? That's a good boy. Mayumi, after you get clean you're to have supper and then it's straight to bed for you."
               "But I-!"
"No buts! I recognize Mana Drain when I see it, missy! Bath, supper, bed." She said the last word in a tone that brooked no argument, while lovingly brushing a stray hair from the girl's face.
Sister Lana carried the girl into the orphanage with Grom close on her heels. The two children looked at each other ruefully.
'If I had to be reborn into a strange new world...' thought Mayumi, 'I could have done a lot worse.'

The Daily Life of Mayuki Family #52
52 - Dishonesty It was already weekend and once again the KojiYuu family gather together to celebrate Yuko's birthday in their family villa. Currently they are having a party.. Yuko, Mayu, Sayanee and Natsu are grilling the dishes while others are preparing the table Yuko: hmm.. My birthday seems to be incomplete without my best friends.. this is so heartbreaking.. (´⌒`。) Mayu: geez, don't say that touchan you still have us here   Sayanee: But why they will not come here today touchan? Yuko: they went out of the country and was supposed to come here this day but their flight was delayed 😕 *sigh* Mayu: ah well, that can't be helped.. Milky: hm? but? is there any problem? Aoi: ... Milky: perhaps, you're still angry with her? Aoi: no, it's not that.. Milky: then why? it's your chance you know~ if you like her you should steal her heart *tease* Aoi: i know, but still... *looks down* Milky: *sigh* I know you're worried, why don't you just talk to her... Also, i know you've been crying alone.. Aoi: eh...? Milky: just go ok? *smiles* Aoi: mmkay *nods* Milky: good, that's my daughter *hugs* * * Natsu went back on her room and laid down on the bed, she was staring blankly at the ceiling not wanting to think of anything when someone came knocking.. Natsu: s-sure.. Aoi: *sat on natsu's bed* Natsu: *looks at aoi* Aoi: well? Natsu: eh? *confused* Aoi: i mean why are you staring at me like that naachan? Natsu: ah- no, i just thought you're mad at me.. Aoi: i am mad at you.. *lays on the bed* Aoi: really mad.. Natsu: i'm sorry.. Aoi: why are you even saying sorry.. Natsu: that's because— Aoi: i hate you..! Natsu: aoitan Aoi: *turns around burying her face on the pillows* Aoi: i hate... still love you.. *mumbles* *tries not to cry* Natsu: eh? Aoi: nothing!!! Natsu: ok, uhm..  aoitan.. *sits beside her* Aoi: ... Natsu: aoitan.. Aoi: what? Natsu: are you still angry? Aoi: hmmmm.. Natsu: aoi-chan, still angry? Aoi: ...... Natsu: aoi-tan *pats aoi who's laying , facing down on the bed* Aoi: ...... Natsu: what should i do so that aoitan will be able to forgive me? Aoi: .... Natsu: please~ tell me.. i don't want aoitan to be mad at me, so please~ Aoi: *sits up facing natsu* nattan.. remember when we are still kids, how you always protects me, always care for me Natsu: un.. Aoi: that time you said that you will always be there for me.. that you wouldn't leave me, and i believed you.. i thought we will always be together Natsu: eh..? *startled* Aoi: you don't remember anymore? *tears* Natsu: no- it's not that.. of course i remember.. i did say that.. Aoi: *suddenly hugs natsu* Aoi: Back then, you were always prioritizing me before anyone but then, one day you told us you have a girlfriend.. Aoi: you already forgot what you promised.. Natsu: it's not that aoi *doesn't know what to say* Aoi: It is! i know it's bad but.. when you and Jiina broke up, i felt happy.. really happy. Natsu: eh? Aoi: but then you're always sulking.. crying.. you feel distant. I can't bear to see you like that.. I just want to be with you.. I want you to be happy nattan.. Aoi: *sniffs* *hugs tighter* Natsu: I- *speechless* *confused* *Aoi's thought: why..? why don't you just love me instead...* Natsu: aoitan? *Aoi's thought: no- why am i thinking like this.. * Aoi: *cries* Natsu: eh?!? don't cry aoitan *panics* Aoi: you— why are you even back with her again?! didn't she already left you?! Natsu: she did left me but she has her own reasons too Aoi: reasons? what kind of reason is that, enough to hurt you like that?!   Natsu: aoi, about that.. it's not her fault, please don't be angry at her. Aoi: it's not her fault that she left you?! really?! didn't she decided that on her own?! what will you do if she hurt you again nattan?! what if she leave you again? didn't you already learn your lesson? Natsu: Aoi, please understand. she has her own circumstances too. please give her a chance. Aoi: a chance of what ? Natsu:  I know that you are angry with her but she's a nice person, she also wanted to be friends with you, so please give her a chance. aoi.. you're a really important person to me, that's why I'm asking you— Aoi: so you're saying that, i should give a chance to accept her? Aoi's thought: stupid.. *pain* Natsu: aoi.. *hugs* it's not that! but please just give her a chance too.. Aoi: why did she left you? Natsu: well.. she kinda have family problems that time so.. well, you know.. Aoi: then why didn't you tell me anything about her returning back? Natsu:  that's... sorry, i didn't tell you.. Aoi: ... Natsu: well.. i know you would get angry so i couldn't say it.. Aoi: angry? do you think i would just get angry? Natsu: eh? Aoi: forget it! then, what about chii-chan? haven't you ever considered her feelings when you got back with your ex? Natsu: uh..? *sweats* Aoi: you know how chii-chan loves you, so why are you hurting her like this?! Natsu: h-how did you know.. Aoi: And what about mado-chan? didn't you ever consider her feelings too!? stupid nattan!! Natsu: w-what?! how did you know that— Aoi: why? why do you keep on hurting those who loves you nattan..? *painful expression* Natsu: *stunned* Aoi: tell me nattan.. *sniffs* do you- do you really love her? Natsu: eh? Aoi:  *firm look* Natsu: what kind of question is that, aoitan? Aoi: *leans over natsu* do you still love your ex? Natsu: that's... of c-courー *suddenly knocking on the door* Sakura: nee-chan, are you asleep? can i come in? Natsu: saku-chan? *rushes to the door* *heart beating* Sakura:  kaa-chan is worried about you.. *notices natsu's  expressions* are you okay, nee-chan? Natsu: I'm alright, don't worry *pats sakura* *smile* Sakura: alright.. ah, aoi-nee is here too? *sees aoi, sitting on natsu's bed* Natsu: uhm yeah Aoi: i was worried about her so i went to check her, saku-chan *smiles* Sakura: oh, ok.. but the food is now ready so should we go down now? and sofu is getting lonely Natsu: haha, is that so? we should really go down now, right aoitan? *looks at aoi* *helpless smile* Aoi: un..*small smile* *** On the way, the 3 were silent.. Sakura feels awkward and with the atmosphere, she is wondering if something else had happened besides her beloved sis' ex lover is back. Despite this she chose to stay silent and about it. Meanwhile, Natsu somehow felt conflicted. She feels somewhat relieved that her sister interrupted Aoi's interrogation even though she really wanted to talk to her and explain everything. While walking, Aoi often glances at Natsu feeling unsatisfied, from their talk and from Natsu's answer. * * Yuko: oh~ they're here! geez, i thought we'd die from hunger before you can get back here.. tsk.. tsk.. Natsu: eh..? sorry sofu.. ; Haruna: yuuchan—  can't you see natsumi-chan is still feeling sick? (;¬_¬) Yuko: *gulp* hai sorry.. I'm just kidding you know.. mou~ Haruna: are you okay now? don't force yourself if you're not feeling well ok? Natsu: hai, thanks sobo *smile* Yuko: well then, let's have a feast! *** While eating,, Natsu thought she should try lessen their worry and smile more considering how worried her family is, but she flinches whenever their conversation involves madoka.. Haruna: so, why is jurina and rena didn't celebrate with us? did they have another business trip? Mayu: uhm.. yeah, that's right kaa-chan Haruna: hmm, i see.. what about their daughter? madoka-chan, you should've invited her over natsumi Natsu: *gulp* ah- yes Aoi: *looks at natsu from across the table* Yuki: we did invite her, but it seems she have another plan Haruna: i see.. well, i was hoping to see them since Yuuchan keep on telling me that finally we'll be a real family with her best friends Yuko: ahh- wait nyannyan Mayu: eh? Sayanee: what do you mean kaachan? Haruna: well you know a real family since natsumi-chan and madoka-chan engaged Natsu: *choked* Sakura: neechan? are you alright? Natsu: u-un.. Mayu: kaachan that's.. Haruna: hm? why? is Yuuchan only joking? *looks at yuko* Yuko: *shakes head* Mayu: uhm, it's that, even though we set it.. of course we want the kids to decide for their own self Haruna: hm, i see Sayanee: but isn't that a good thing, they look good together Aoi: *drops the utensil* Sayanee: aoi? Aoi: sorry hehe *smile* Milky: *looks at her daughter worried* Yuko: well, let's move on with that and talk about other things okay? Yuko: how about sakuchan? time really flies.. look at how my sakuchan had grown up Mayu: i know right, and she's going on a rebellious phase right now, it's so sad.. Yuko: haha, well that happens. But sakutan, don't you have someone important right now? it seems you're always holding your phone *teases* Mayu: Huh?! WHAT?! that can't be!! Sakutan, is that True?! tell me who is it?! *rage* Yuki: mayu, calm down.. Sakura: geez.. *mentally face palmed* **** After the celebration, Natsu sat on the bench outside to refresh herself. From afar, aoi saw her and is now gazing on her Milky: so, why is my baby alone here while making a sad face? Aoi: kaachan, I'm not a baby anymore Milky: really? *combs aoi's hair* Aoi: mou.. Milky: *giggles* well, you're still a baby since you keep on crying Aoi: i'm not.. *pouts* Milky: you do.. Aoi: but that's because.. *looks down* Milky: you know.. *pats aoi's head* it's not bad to cry if you're feeling sad or you're hurt but— crying too much and you'll get drowned..then will lose sight on the things that could make you happy Aoi: *looks at her mom* Milky: have you calmed down now? Aoi: somehow.. thanks kaachan Milky: why don't you go and talk to her again? *smiles* Aoi: un! *walks to where natsu is* Sayanee : *appears from behind* *about to call her daughter back but is stopped by her wife* Milky: let the kids do their own stuff okay? *smile* *drags sayanee on bedroom* Sayanee:    Σ(°△°|||)︴ eh? Aoi sat beside natsu who seems to be drowned from her own thoughts that she became oblivious, not noticing aoi approaching her. Aoi: i wonder what is nattan's thinking.. Natsu: *startled* Aoi: you seemed to be deep in thoughts, you're making a troubled face.. Natsu: am i? *laugh forcibly* Aoi: you are, well you still have the cute face tho Natsu: *sudden laugh* that's somehow rare Aoi: rare? you're not the only one who can be a sweet talker you know, hmp. Natsu: eh, i'm not a sweet talker Aoi: you are! and a play girl Natsu: eh, that's how aoitan view me? how sad.. Aoi: well, no matter you look at it, you are *laughs* Natsu: geez.. what's wrong with aoitan today, bullying me.. *laughs* Aoi: you finally laugh huh *smile* Natsu: *surprised* ah— Aoi: sorry i got mad at you nattan Natsu: no- it's my fault, i know i should've told you but I'm.. well kinda worried.. *nervous laugh* Aoi: hm.. Natsu: and that I'm scared.. Aoi: scared? scared that we would get angry? Natsu: well you know.. i don't want to hurt chiichan or madochan but i'm scared.. I'm such a fool.. Aoi: yeah you are.. and you know.. not only chiichan and madochan would be hurt, didn't you think that it would hurt me too? *leans on natsu* Natsu: aoi? Aoi: before madochan, even before chiichan.. you only care for aoi so I'm jealous.. Natsu: I didn't forget my promise, aoitan.. you're important to me and I'm always by your side when you need me Aoi : *gets up, looking at natsu*  really? Natsu: really Aoi: then what about chiichan? Natsu: chiichan is also very important, you know that. She had been always there for me when i need her, I- I don't want to lose her Aoi: what about madochan then? Natsu: She— She's important to me too.. even though we know each other for a short time, she became very special to me too.. Aoi: then? you do not plan on telling jiina about your engagement to her? Natsu: actually.. she already knew.. Aoi: eh?! then— Natsu: but madochan.. Aoi: hm? Natsu: madoka.. she break it off.. the engagement.. Aoi: don't you want that? *looks at natsu* Natsu: it's not that i don't.. it's that Aoi: it is what? Natsu: it is— uhm.. *confused* Aoi: you said you love jiina? then why don't you want that? Natsu: i do but it's just that... *recalls what happened* it's just that madoka, she's crying..

lol hi miroku san, it might be impolite for me to say that you are cute when you angry. I'm sorry Lol idk what is wrong with me, pls I'm sorry being rude.. erhmm btw, maybe you want to know during that Sakura SR after SSK where she mention that naachan is cute, before,, she actually talking about Kodama too..i wasn't really paying attention, not sure what is she talking about, but she talks longer about Kodama than about naachan, it just that only no one highlight it :)
It might be impolite of me to tell you that I love you, anon.
However, I checked the SR and unfortunately I wasn’t able to find the moment you were talking about. ;A; I mean, she does mention Haruka at some point, but it’s really brief and she wasn’t talking about anything important, anyways. I feel like the only thing I can do is to accept this condition. I mean, look at this shit. It’s really… Awful. And cruel. Like she’s there flirting and being all “Naachan, call me Sakuchan! Naachan blablabla”, like there’s also another video where she’s like “if you don’t call me Saku-chan I won’t even reply to your mails” like?????????????? Can I slap her?! I feel like I’ve got all the rights to slap her!! She acts all “omg no homo, wtf, homo people are weird” while witnessing to, idk, Yuki saying that she would dig her face into Mayu’s butt, or Nakai fangirling over Jurina (OR HARUKA ACTING SUPER GAY TOWARDS HER!!!!!!!!!) but now? She’s like “oh my god what is this feeling? I feel like…. Like… What’s the word I’m looking for–G A Y.” She’s heartless. She doesn’t deserve my love.

As fate would have it - Chapter 43
Chapter 43 - Bonds
(possible manga spoilers up until chapter 54)
Words: 3444
| Read on AO3 |  ,  | wattpad |  ,  | < previous chapter |
Tumblr media
“Mum you should really lay down! You need your rest as well!”, Tsuki lectured her mother.
It's been almost over a month since the incident with the heavens. Over a month and Yato still hadn't woken up.
Hiyori's foot had been treated by her brother at the hospital as well as Tsuki's eye and Yato's terrible wounds on his back.
They did their best to treat him but even now, his heart still wasn't beating.
At first Hiyori wanted for Yato to stay in the hospital so she would be able to treat him there but as soon as she and Tsuki were able to leave, they brought him home as well.
Given the fact that he was a god, there wasn't much they could do at the hospital anyway.
Even though, Hiyori brought a heart monitor with her to be able to check on his heartbeat easier at home.
It gave her a feeling of safety to have this machine here even if all she was able to see was a flat-line.
Day after day, week after week, every time Hiyori looked at the little monitor in hope to see any reaction of Yato's heart beating, there was nothing. Nothing that would make her feel relieved.
Her ankle had been put back in place and a few metal bars were holding it in order for it to heal properly.
Even though the wound was pretty bad, her foot would be as good as new once it had enough time to heal. Tsuki was now wearing an eye patch to make sure the scratch on her eye wouldn't get infected. A scar would probably stay forever though but the blue eyed girl didn't care about that too much.
A tiny scar wouldn't change who she was, even if it was right in her face.
This statement made Hiyori feel proud and ashamed at the same time. Her daughter didn't care about a scar on her face, when she had trouble accepting one on her stomach for years. Not because of aesthetic reasons, but because of the memories the mark had left that she wasn't able to let go of until Yato had taught her so.
“I appreciate it Tsuki! But I can't just lay down when he is still fighting for his life. I wish I could do something to help him”, she refused her daughter's offer.
“Mum, it's been almost two days since you got any sleep! You need to get rest, please!”, the young girl said, “I'm worried about you!”
“I know sweetie! You don't have to worry about me though, I'm okay real-” “No you are not!”, Tsuki interrupted angry, “You have to sleep as well! You've been hurt and you need to recover just like dad does! You are going to lie down on my bed right now do you hear me?! I can't possibly risk losing you as well!”
Hiyori was speechless. Tsuki had never ordered her around like that. Yukine who was entering Yato's and Hiyori's bedroom right at that moment, was silent as well.
“I'm so sorry Tsuki, I didn't mean to worry you like that. You are right, I'm going to get some rest”, she finally agreed.
“Uhm … Before you go Hiyori, we have some guests”, Yukine interfered, finally able to talk again after the shock of Tsuki's determined words.
Behind him in the door, Hiyori could make out the faces of her friends.
Bishamon, Kazuma, Kofuku, Daikoku, Ebisu, Kunimi as well as Mayu and Tenjin. They were all there.
All of a sudden the small flat was filled with people.
“You guys”, Hiyori said as soon as she saw them.
“You need to listen to your daughter Hiyoriiin! You need your rest!”, Kofuku said worried.
“Listen to the kiddo. You ain't wanna mess with her”, Daikoku agreed.
Tsuki smiled when she saw all of them. It had been a while since they all were together in one place after this whole mess.
They came to visit and check on Yato on a regular basis but never had they came to visit all at once.
“How is he doing?”, Kazuma asked, carrying a bouquet of flowers.
“No change in his condition. The wounds on his back have completely healed now though. I know that gods heal faster but that they would heal that fast ... They've been pretty severe. I hope that he might wake up soon now that the wounds are gone”, Hiyori explained.
Kofuku got closer to the bed.
Yato looked so peaceful.
“He looks like he is sleeping”, she said and looked at the heart monitor, “When really, he is … “
“Not dead!”, Tsuki interfered before Kofuku could finish her sentence.
“I'm sorry, I didn't mean it like that!”, the pink haired goddess apologized immediately.
“Yato-san will be waking up soon, I know it!”, Ebisu said and entered the room as well.
The young boy was confident. He wanted to stay optimistic in this situation.
Slowly the others as well entered the bedroom after asking if it was alright with Hiyori.
They gathered around the bed and the chair next to it that Hiyori was sitting on.
“How's your ankle Hiyorin?”, Kofuku asked.
“It's better. But I think I'm gonna need a lot more time to heal than Yato does. Even though my brother said that it's remarkable how quick it is healing. I'm just happy that it's going to heal at all. For a while I thought there was nothing that could be done”, the half Ayakashi answered.
After that, silence filled the room. Everyone's eyes were resting on Yato.
Kofuku was right, he looked peaceful but yet at the same time, something told them that he was fighting against something.
Something that was way more difficult than fighting against the heavens.
Ebisu had sat down in another chair on the other side of the room as he suddenly noticed something.
“Oh no, my shoe laces are untied!”, he said and and looked at his shoe.
“I'm not tying them again!”
Everyone was in shock after they realized who had said this.
“YATO!”, Hiyori cried out.
His eyes were opened just a little bit and for the first time in weeks, the flat-line had been replaced by the sign of a weak but steady heartbeat.
“Y-You … a-are awake!”, the half Ayakashi said, her voice shaking.
“Daddy!”, Tsuki joined and sat up so she could see him.
“Yato!”, Yukine also got closer to his master.
“Why is everyone here?”, Yato asked groggily.
“Y-You are a-awake!”, Hiyori repeated herself, tears filling her eyes, “H-How do you feel? A-Are you in pain?”
“I feel tired. What happened?”, he asked.
“Y-You …”, Tsuki wanted to explain, but the words wouldn't come.
“You almost died you idiot!”, Hiyori suddenly yelled, “Your heart wasn't beating! How can you scare me like that you jerk!”
That sentence took everything from her, she burst out crying, letting out all the emotions she had held back the last month.
Kofuku rushed to her friend's side and put her arms on her shoulders as a sign of support. She as well, had tears of relieve in her eyes as she said: “You scared the crap out of us Yatty!”
“I agree. We certainly have been worried!”, Tenjin said.
Yato looked around realizing that he was at home. His eyes rested on the heart monitor that was connected to his finger.
“What is that about?”, he asked, trying to lift his hand a little bit.
“I borrowed that from the hospital. To be able to check on you”, Hiyori explained.
“That's not helpful if you are treating a god, you know”, he said, trying to put on his jerk smile.
“I KNOW DAMMIT BUT I HAD TO DO SOMETHING! SHUT UP YOU IDIOT!”, she screamed and finally embraced him, “I'm so glad you are okay!”
Shakily, Yato wrapped his arms around her as well. He was still a little dazed but he knew that his family and his friends had been through a lot because of him.
“I'm sorry!”, he said.
After those words, Tsuki joined her parents in their embrace, followed by Yukine who also had tears in his eyes that he desperately tried to fight.   Kofuku couldn't resist to also join in on their hug and as soon as she did, the others followed her example, gathering everyone in one big group hug.
“It's good to have you back!”, Daikoku said.
“It's good to be back”, Yato answered.
After a short moment, they let go of their hug, the atmosphere in the room now completely changed.
The pressure had been gone and replaced by a happy relieved feeling.
Yato was awake again.
His heart was beating.
Even though they weren't embracing each other anymore, Hiyori still held on to Yato's hand. It was warm.
Nothing like the cold feeling of the last weeks.
“Never scare us like that again! You hear me?”, she said, her voice shaking yet soft.
“I promise!”, he answered with a smile.
Before anyone could say another word a bright light appeared in the corner of the room. As soon as it vanished, they could make out the figure of a small girl with bright hair.
“Y-Your majesty!”, Bishamon said, causing everyone to bow their heads.
“It's okay, you don't need to bow before me. I am not here on behalf of the heavens”, Amaterasu assured, “I came to see if the Yato god was okay and it seems that you are just fine.”
“Did I miss something?”, Yato asked confused.
He didn't know why Amaterasu, the leader of all gods, would come to see if he, a nameless god, was okay.
“You missed a lot daddy!”, Tsuki said, “Thanks to her we are all still alive.”
“What?”, Yato got even more confused.
It took a while until the others had filled him in on what happened after he had almost died trying to protect his family.
They told him how Tsuki had put on the form of an Ayakashi and what she was capable of doing in that form.
They told him how everyone stood up for him and his family in order to protect them and how Amaterasu showed up and saved them.
“I never meant for something like this to happen. I am supposed to be the one maintaining peace but I also find myself helpless in so many occasions. This time I simply couldn't stay back anymore. I had to interfere. I hate to see gods, Shinki and people die but I always thought I had to accept what the other gods were doing because I thought that was the right thing to keep the peace. But when I saw what this little girl was doing, I knew that the way we had been handling things up until now was wrong. I have to thank you Tsuki! Thank you for showing me that there is another way to reach peace than death! I am terribly sorry for everything you, your family and friends had to go through.”
“That's not your fault!”, Tsuki said, “You stood up for us and thanks to that we are still alive! Thank you your majesty!”
The young girl bowed her head, making Amaterasu smile.
“I've also come here for another reason. I'm sure you are aware that there have been disorders in the heavens because of what I have done”, the goddess said, “Many gods don't want to accept that I have excused the traitors' actions and lifted their guilt. It's going to take a while until I have fully persuaded them that your actions have nothing to do with treason. However, they won't keep silent unless there is a reason for Tsuki to keep existing.”
“What does that mean?”, Hiyori asked scared, “What reason?”
“Don't be afraid. I came here to give Tsuki exactly that reason. Tsuki, I want you to continue freeing Ayakashi from their agony. If you agree to keep using your powers in order to maintain peace on earth I can assure your family's and friends' safety. As long as you do that, you are under the protection of the heavens. If you don't, I won't be able to assure your safety.” “All I have to do is continue what I've done up until now?”, Tsuki asked.
Freeing Ayakashi had caused the problems in the first place and now it should be guaranteeing their safety?
“That is correct.”
“Tsuki”, Hiyori said worried, knowing that only Tsuki could make this decision.
“I … I want to be able to help them. O-Okay! I agree! I promise I will use my powers only to maintain peace and free the world from agony”, Tsuki agreed after a short moment to think about the choice she had been given.
“I am happy to hear that. In that case, from this moment on, you are officially accepted by heaven. No one shall threaten you unless you use your power for something else but the task that has been given to you.”
“I promise I will use it to make people happy!”
Hiyori and Yato were both looking at their daughter all teary eyed, saying: “WE ARE SO PROUD OF YOUUU!”
“Oh boy, get it together you two!”, Yukine answered, hiding his face behind his hands.
Those two could be so embarrassing when they acted like proud parents.
This simple little sentence caused everyone in the room to laugh. It was a great feeling and even Amaterasu joined them.
Finally, they were safe.
They sat around the bed and chatted for a while after Yukine and Kazuma had brought a few more chairs into the room for everyone to sit on. It  almost felt like a little party, celebrating that no one died during this horrible incident.
“You know mum, you were right”, Tsuki suddenly said, directing everyone's attention to the two girls.
“What do you mean?”, Hiyori asked, still holding on to Yato's hand.
“You promised me that we would all get out alive! You were right the whole time!”, she explained.
Hiyori remembered her words. She really had been right, even though she had lost faith a few times herself.
“Of course your mother was right!”, Yato interfered laughing, “She is always right!”
“Says the one that almost caused this promise to be broken!”, Yukine said monotone.
“Yeah”, Hiyori joined, “Mighty words from the person who almost died!”
“Hey! All I did was to protect my family! Like I had promised”, Yato answered with a fake hurt tone in his voice.
Amaterasu was watching them fight in a joking and loving way and giggled but there was something she couldn't help but notice.
“Hiyori Iki”, she mumbled to herself.
“What?”, Hiyori asked, noticing that she had caught Amaterasu's interest.
“I'm sorry but I think there is something you need to know”, she now spoke directly to Hiyori and Yato while the others were caught up in their own conversations again.
Suddenly, the happy mood changed again. What the young goddess was about to say would be a serious subject.
“What is it?”, she asked hesitantly.
“How old are you again?”, Amaterasu asked.
“Uhm .. I am thirty years old”, Hiyori answered confused.
“That is not true!”
“Yes it is. I am thirty years old and I'll be turning thirty one next year.”
“That is not true. Your mind may have aged, but your body has not”, Amaterasu explained.
“What?”, Yato now asked, not knowing what Amaterasu wanted to say.
“How old have you been when you gave birth to Tsuki?”
“I .. I was nineteen years old when I gave birth.”
“That's when your body stopped aging. Or when you stopped being bound to the process of aging like a human being.”
“What does that mean? D-Does that mean that…”
“That means that you have started crossing the line to the far shore. You are not dead and yet you are not bound to the rules of the living anymore. Your body will be aging but it will be so slow that you won't notice. In a way, you are walking alongside gods, Shinki and Ayakashi while you are still alive.”
“T-That means … “, Yato said, his voice shaking.
“Her life span has extended. What is one year for a human being, can be a hundred years for her.  What are ten years for mankind, can be centuries in her life.”
Hiyori was shocked. What Amaterasu told her was that, in a sense, she was immortal.
That explained so many things that had caused her questions during the last years. Every time someone told her how young she still looked.
Every time someone told her that she hadn't changed at all the last twelve years.
The times when she was hard to notice even for her own parents.
The fact that her foot was healing quicker than usual.
That was all because, she was starting to live as a being leaning over to the far shore.
“How?”, was everything she could ask.
“You wanted to be with the Yato god. You wanted to be with him for such a long time, refusing to let go of the memories you shared. You have unknowingly crossed the line separating the living world from the far shore, because you held on to the people and the memories you have created in our world. This conviction made you able to cross the line without any problems. You two share a bond that is way stronger than death could ever be. The connection between you two made it possible that a child between the near and far shore could be born. When you carried Tsuki inside of you, the part of her that was a god fused with your body, pushing you even further over the line. You are not a god, yet your body will be acting as one. Tsuki is the prove of the connection between the two of you which is stronger than the line between the living world and the afterlife. A bond that can never be broken.”
Yato and Hiyori looked over to Tsuki who had been talking to Yukine and Ebisu.
“I look like a pirate with that eye patch! Hey big brother, does that scratch still look bad?”, she asked and lifted the eye patch.
“GROSS! Don't show that to me jeez!”, Yukine complained.
“Fascinating!”, Ebisu said, taking a closer look.
“I … I destroyed you Hiyori”, Yato said, his eyes facing down, “I'm so sorry. This is only because of me.”
“What are you talking about Yato?”, she asked confused.
“You … Because of me … you …”
“It is not your fault! Quit blaming everything on yourself for once. It was MY decision to stay with you. I said that I wanted to be with you and that I wouldn't forget you. When we started dating it was because I wanted to do it. I decided that I wanted to have our child! All of this happened because of my own decisions!”
“But … you are not going to be able to live a normal life anymore. You are going to see your family and friends die while are you stuck between the shores.”
“So what? I don't want to live a normal life if that means that I won't be with you or anyone else I care about. I chose this path myself and I won't back out! I'm going to see my family die one day even if I wasn't stuck in a not aging body. But you are my family as well! You, Tsuki, Yukine and everyone else in this room. I love you all so much and I want to be with you even if that means I have to cross lines that shouldn't be crossed. I love you Yato and I will stay with you forever! When will you finally understand that?”
Yato's eyes had filled with tears that were starting to run down his face. Hiyori reached out for his cheek, wiping away the tears. The blue eyed god's hand slowly went up to hers and held on to it as he looked her right in the eyes.
“Hiyori?”
“Yes?”, she asked, looking back into his eyes.

ICONS   &   FACECLAIMS
A GUIDE TO MY ICON STYLE(?) — PART 2/2 WALKTHROUGH OF MAYU’S FACECLAIMS WITH A RATIONALE OF EACH.
-----so, as i did with my faceclaim page, i’m going to order them by approximate frequency of use, then explain why i use each with added commentary of what i like and maybe dislike about each fc bc like,,,, lbr i actually have some thINGS TO SAY.
Tumblr media
CHARACTER;  seri awashima  USES;  neutral, casual, serious expressions LIKES;  feature-wise (in the context of monochrome/manga icons) she resembles mayu the most out of the faceclaims despite the hair being the w ro n g wa y but lets igno r e tha t DISLIKES;  LOR D T, she has like, no emotions, she is practically a robot with tits from what i’ve seen from official art. when it comes to facial expressions with variety she doesn’t really deliver, she doesn’t seem to really shine as a faceclaim that may own a personality at all and if i used her alone, it wouldn’t be even close to doing mayu 100% justice. also seri only resembles her with her hair down, which sucks since seri typically has her hair up in a way that mayu Can’t Relate™ to.
Tumblr media
CHARACTER;  rangiku USES;  eccentric, angry, casual, serious expressions and a little fanservice bc whY NO T LIKES;  uGH I LOVE HER, probably one of my best finds for mayu tbh, honestly. she has the kind of variety of playful meme af faces that i’ve been?? missing??? from mayu??? she filled a huge gap that was missing from my checklist of expressions mayu has and was easily a fave. her variety gave mayu the energy that was necessary to really fully show off mayu’s personality in a more accurate way. also she has drINKING ICONS, ALSO AN ESSENTIAL. 20/10 ilu rangiku DISLIKES;  not exactly accurate feature wise entirely, i’ve actually had to photoshop her boobs to look a bit smaller in a fEW ICON S where they’re fully visible, 2 much boob 4 mayu.
Tumblr media
CHARACTER;  itori USES;  mischievous, playful expressions LIKES;  like rangiku, she also has expressive faces that really contribute to mayu’s overall personality and i loV E IT, she has gr8 Meme Faces™ im living for it, she has a really mayu essence about her generally ilu DISLIKES;  the art style can be a bit iffy at times, and has a tendency to look?? grainy??? and i cant deal
Tumblr media
CHARACTER;  botan USES;  happy, serious, flustered, angry icons LIKES;  okay botan was the first fc i’ve ever chosen for mayu ages ago so i feel very attached to her, also the art-style is really easy on the eyes to me, rEAL NICE so that was kinda a factor there too. her expression are pretty versatile, not as playful/free with expressions as i’d like, but she has icons that’re really workable nonetheless.  DISLIKES;  her. hair. her hair is very specific to her character, not a generic hairstyle, so i had to be very nitpicky with what icons to use considering the way it was to make sure it didn’t contradict the likeness of mayu i was trying to portray or whatev E R
and honestly??? i dont think the last one out of the five is relevant, i have like what, max 5-10 icons of shion karanamori but theyre Cool™ thats all im gonna say there to save some time.
