Alright, so I have loved wilbur soot’s content for a very long time, 4 years or so. I watched the streams and listened to his music from the start. His content is entwined with many of my fond memories.

Earlier today, I had a breakdown over this whole situation, because, as I’ve been quite busy with school, my job, and other assorted things in my life, I found out about this morning. I had woken from a nightmare about my previous abuser. Who i will be talking about a lot more of as they really impacted my views on this situation.

However this nightmare had left me in a fragile mood, my girlfriend was still sleeping and i didn’t want to wake her, so to comfort myself i went to read one of my bookmarked fanfictions, this fanfiction, while i dont remember the title is one that i’ve found comforting for a very long time, so much so that when im stressed my partner has it saved to send to me so i can calm down.

It was a fanfiction about quackity and tubbo, wilbur soot was mentioned maybe 5 times, and the author had deleted it.

This caused me to try and find out why, so i went to their page and they had posted a temporary fic explaining what had been going on.

My first reaction had been disbelief, I then went to research everything. It was a lot to process.

I watched shelby’s vod. Before this i had mainly been disconnected from what i had seen, taking it it but not with any of my own feelings or thoughts really, just processing.

Shelby’s situation hits really hard for me because a lot of it mirrors my own abusive relationship of a few years ago. The wording Wilbur used against her, sounds like what my old partner would use against me. His actions, such as her having to clean and taking care of food, and amenities, were things i had to experience.

Abuse TW:

My old partner would physically abuse me through biting as well, he would claim that he just liked knowing i was his, and yet, like shubble, if i ever used our safe word, which happened so fucking often, he either wouldn’t listen, bite down harder on my neck, or fucking smile at me before letting go.

This got to the point that multiple times he had drawn blood from my neck, that i still have scars from today. And as i watch Shubble talk about her story which is ever so close to mine, I wonder that if I had watched this before, maybe i wouldn’t have stayed in that relationship.

I proceeded to stay in this relationship for 2 years before i realized how much harm he was doing to me, because i truly believed he loved me, because of all the lovebombing he would do.

And yet i felt pain aside from sympathy or memories, when learning of this, as the content Wilbur had put out had actually helped me out of this relationship, his music was pretty much all i listened to the months of healing after i got out and it helped, the art is good, and yet the author is one i cannot respect nor support in anyway now that i am aware.

Right back to the content. I don’t believe that we should throw it all away, i don’t think that people should be deleting their art, fanfiction, or anything based on Wilbur. Because in the end it’s all art that we have created and interpreted and though the man who inspired it is horrible, all that has been made does not reflect his actions, but instead love and creativity from vast multifaceted community.

One can continue their writing and work because they are the ones creating it, not him, and besides most interpretations of him stray quite far from the source anyways

I think that one can continue to engage in his content as long as one does not directly support him, such as pirating his music, but personally at least right now listening to his music which brought me so much comfort-makes me feel sick. So think i’ll be taking a step back.

I don’t really know how to end this, i just needed to get my thoughts out honestly. I have therapy in an hour. I hope all of you who’ve made it to the end have a wonderful day and drink some water. I wish shelby well, and i’m glad she has been able to share this situation. And with that, I must now leave :)

DOA Bullshit and Bias Hubbywrangler is always in the comments foaming at the mouth whenever someone says less than positive things about DOA. Your autocratic bullshit only works on DOA; you cant control what people say online and you certainly cant ban them for having an opinion, but since you enjoy being an asshole to those who are scared of joining DOA, have felt unwelcome there or discriminated against, why not say something that really matters? The other moderators dont comment on things here, but a mod did on IG and had her ass handed back to her, why not give it a go here? Fantyfofo and MANY others got banned with no warning because they cast doll mannequins to make wigs, something that was not in the rules before banning them - no warning and not allowing them to fix their "mistake". This is unfair, specially because theres just a big red banned on their username and most assume its scamming; you know the damage that this does. when people question this, you just brush their frustration off. Youve sometimes said that these people are lying and the ban was actually not what this person is saying. Well, why not put in the reason why someone is banned? Youve already placed an obnoxious BANNED title under their name, its only fair for everyone to know why they were banned, so no one would accuse you like they have in the past for power tripping. You know the average user would see the banned title and avoid purchasing or dealing with said person - even if the ban was because they made another account, made a mannequin head or ffs, disagreed with a mod offsite. Before you say no, I know for a FACT that Aimeeeee banned a person because they had a disagreement with her on LJ, if you need names, its Hi3ru. I also know of the bullshit secret section of DOA that got hacked and leaked over a decade ago with Sal3m and JaM3 being particularly the shittiest of them all. Dont give me this non-biased bullshit when you obviously dont know how to be anything but biased. This may not be the case these days, but the secret section was there, anyone who has been in the hobby for a long time would remember it or has seen it. There is zero recast tolerance on DOA, yet Mannie admitted that she posted her recast and got suspended for it, when others did the same mistake but got banned permanently, please make it make sense. How is she not banned permanently? How is she still active in the forums when not only did she post her recast, but she admitted to it on her tumblr, and had made tutorials on how to purchase one safely? When being fair, the rules should apply to everyone; that does not mean your friends get to be exempt from it. Speaking of, how do you expect to be the "authority" on everything BJD, when even mention or linking of recasts get you banned or suspended? Do you think a newbie, or someone who has english as their second language will first assume its a fake? When a person wants a discussion - note discussion, not statement - on recasts to educate themselves to make an informed decision, is met with a suspension; how likely do you think they will get a recast out of spite for being "shunned" from the community? No sense in spending too much, "artistic integrity" when the artists and the "head" of the community is hostile towards you. This is such a missed opportunity for DOA to make something great, actually make a difference and encourage being pro-artist instead of bullying a person who is questioning it (no, those who made informed decisions on purchasing recasts can fuck off). I had my recent feedback deleted off my page because the moderators suspect the feedback is from offsite and is against the rules. Did you know, that when you get banned, there is no reply or appeal? You have to send an email which never gets replied to. The other thing; there would be an archive of dolls being sold. Clothes and accessories? Once its sold, its gone. The feedback I got was from those sales AND DOA suspended me because they suspected it was offsite sales. Putting that on the side; why limit feedback on DOA to only sales done on

DOA? IG and FB allow feedback from everywhere; as long as you have experience with that buyer and that seller, that should be the only thing that matters. Having the problem transaction thread for members only is also a decision I wont understand. Yes bad feedback can be linked to the feedback page, but how am I supposed to see and judge the feedback if there is no access to the bad feedback linked, because problem transactions are members only? People are fed up with the rules and tip toeing on DOA. Conversations have become so inane and stupid that I feel my IQ drop every time I read the debate section. The forums used to be enjoyable with actual meaningful conversations and now people only go to DOA to read the problem transaction threads, or BJD news. The discussions is nothing but people talking about their purchases, their missed purchases or purchases they hope to make. There is no conversation and you have no one to blame but yourselves because of the free use of bans, suspensions and this shitty punishment point system you threaten people with. You honestly need to get over yourselves because others see you as intimidating. Some mods are better than others, but generally speaking, you guys are power tripping assholes who are way to proud to get with the times and realize that the current way of running the forum is outdated. This is why many see DOA as an archive; talk too loud and the librarian shuts you up; only old threads have any value. Why do you think people have moved to discord, facebook and instagram? You know what would be nice? Allowing name changes. People will pay for it if you provide it, and you can always link the past usernames on their profiles like ebay. Let people change their names. Not alot will pay for extra doll profiles, and extra DOA PM space, but they will pay for name changes. If anyone else has anything to say, please sound off in the comments. H0bbitwrangler has defended DOA a lot, and they are an active mod that comments and lurks here; let them know what you think because they are trying to make DOA seem like the only ones having an issue are those who were banned "fairly".

Discord Chat Room Analysis

Yo Seán I'm gonna do an analysis of yesterday's "Discord mayhap" (or, "Discord discord", if you will) if that's alright?

(The following screenshots are not mine, they're just like the only screenshots I've seen going around, and if anyone knows the owner feel free to tell me please and thanks!!)

Firstly, I just wanna say that this is the very first time we've seen all the Egos in one place, interacting. This is HUGE. You'll notice the lack of introductions, questions of "who are you?", which means they all know each other/know of each other. At the very least, they all have interacted before without our knowledge. Hooray for context clues!

Onto the next thing. Jack. As a new server owner with many many users and a lot of potential for things to go wrong, I can only imagine how confused he would be (especially as a person with a glitch being on his tail). And I'm certain he wouldn't interact directly with any of the Egos unless he knew it was completely safe. As you can see, it was not, in fact, safe. That's most likely why instead of talking to the Egos, he was trying to get the mods to shut down the text channel as soon as possible. They weren't supposed to be there, and that is not supposed to happen.

Next, the Egos. Wherever they were transported to, it was someplace where they could not see one another nor could they see their surroundings (hence Chase's panicked "I can't see!"). Even though Chase was the only one who pointed out that he had no visibility, it doesn't mean that the others did. They probably couldn't see, either.

Now, my current theory is the end of Observation is in connection with this: there was some sort of tear in the fabric of reality. Whoever was recording that video, we saw transported before our eyes. It took a few hours, but eventually they ended up in a digital space, the discord server. We know this was Anti's doing, because the title of the chat room said "watching", encoded in a Caesar cipher (Anti is using codes now, we have to watch for that. There are MANY ciphers, believe me) and zalgo-ified, which was the biggest giveaway. I wouldn't be surprised if last year's Stories Untold first episode ending was foreshadowing for being trapped in a digital space (remember Jack/possibly Chase being stuck in the computer after someone opened the door to his recording room?) The question is: are they stuck there now? Or have they since been brought back upon the deletion of the chat room? We have yet to find out, but as of now, this is just a theory (a gA-- nah lemme stop there).

Next, we have Marvin. His first words are "This doesnt seem right". This leads me to believe that, as a magic-user, he's probably encountered some really weird shit and had some strange experiences, but in this situation something feels off for him. Also, as people have pointed out, Marvin is the only Ego with a recent profile picture, one that is not from his appearance video. I am assuming this is because either A) Marvin's first video wasn't truly Marvin, because it was US that made him an Ego, B) the video in which his profile picture is from was actually Marvin recording, hence why he pulled out his mask, or C) both A and B.

Jackie is the one who figures it out.

He probably saw the zalgoed code in the title, decoded it, and upon finding what it said went "Shit this is REALLY bad, I have to warn the others but I can't let Anti catch on that I figured it out". So when Jackie says "Ah fuck, people are watching this. Everybody shut up!", he's not talking about US, he's talking about Anti. Remember, Anti was brought into existence by saying his name. Saying his name in any form is extremely dangerous, and in a digital space where a glitch would have the upper hand, a direct warning against Anti would be way too risky, so he generalizes it hoping the others would get the message. Sadly, amidst the panic and confusion, they didn't.

Then, there's Chase and Schneep. Evidently, these two are close; Schneep gravitated towards Chase almost immediately for some sort of guidance or reassurance: "I dont know what happened here, Chase?". Their friendship must run deep. This was hinted at before: Henrik saved Chase and is his "good friend". Both of which are close with Jack. Seeing them interact like this pretty much confirms it.

Now this is where I laughed. See, Chase's response was immediately, "What do you want from me?" which is Chase's infamous line from Dark Silence. Marvin's immediate response is "Alright, thats enough" as if he knew that Chase was going to say something of that effect and went "Oh god not this shit again". Of course, this got Schneep started, because towards the end both of them began repeating lines from Dark Silence, Stories Untold, and Kill Jacksepticeye, respectively. Even though they were panicking and clearly trying to get in contact with Jack here, you have to admit they're both dorks. They could have said anything else and yet said that. I found that hilarious.

And little Jameson. Bless him, he silent even in digital form. This leads me to believe, however, that he may be mute in canon. If the Egos are not typing and are rather speaking in a digital space and their words appear as text in the server because of the coding, then it would make sense for Jameson's only "words" to be an ellipse.

This entire situation told me quite a bit about the Egos' interactions with each other. With Marvin and Jackie, as the two oldest Egos, they seem to be the "heads of the household", so to speak. They're like the two older brothers babysitting all the younger ones. They both hold a sense of authority (which was a surprise on Marvin's end for me, admittedly). Whether the others will actually listen is a whole nother story. Chase and Schneep are close and they gravitate towards one another. Jameson, being the newest, understandably looks like he feels out of place (communication barrier, perhaps?).

One thing is certain, though, is that Anti is their common enemy. He brought them all there against their will (kind of as if he gathered up all their strings and pulled). And Jack, according to Chase, is still comatose. So maybe Jack's consciousness is trapped in a digital space, which is why they were able to talk to him (even if Jack didn't respond), and why Marvin and Jameson were able to send him messages through videos (like in Try To Fall Asleep)?

In any case, I feel like the next episodes of Observation will give us more answers as to where the story is heading, just as Stories Untold did. Whatever happens in Observation will most likely hugely relate to this plot, so that's important to keep in mind.

My OUAT Rewatch -- S4E22 and 23 -- Operation Mongoose, Parts 1 & 2

Bobby looks about as done with this season as I am.  I know Michael Socha was done with it -- literally -- but we’ll get to that later.

This is gonna be long.  So have a seat, pour yourself a drink or seven, and get ready.  I’m not holding back . . . . . . 

First of all, I debated about whether I should review this as one or two episodes.  I decided to go with one, and will do this going forward with any episodes that have the same title and are part 1,2, 8 million, whatever.  Trust me, at times it SEEMED like 8 million.

First thing I want to address is a bunch of fandom wank nonsense that came out of this episode -- namely the idea that RUMPLE wrote the story.  Let me make this perfectly clear:

Rumple DID NOT WRITE THIS STORY.  Isaac did.  Rumple told him what HE, personally, wanted.  Isaac took it from there.  Rumple didn’t write Isaac as a famous douchebag author, and he sure as hell wouldn’t have given fucking ZELENA a wedding in the story, he’d have killed her off in a painful but well-deserved death.  Ditto Hook.  So if you still actually think Rumple wrote this story, my recommendation to you is that you back out of this post now.  And you should probably stay off my blog in general.  Because frankly, I think you are wrong and stupid and we are not compatible in any way.  Got it?

(Side note:  Made an error in my last review.  I honestly did not remember AT ALL that we saw Lily again in this episode, both in person form or in dragon form.  Which tells you how much of an impression that made on me.  Anyhoo, my bad.  I goofed.  NOW she’s gone for good.)

So what was the deal with Will Scarlett anyway?  

Well . . . . nobody knows.  We’ll probably NEVER know.  You see, Will Scarlett was one of the breakout characters from the spinoff Once Upon a Time in Wonderland, and when that got canceled, someone -- really not sure who -- thought it’d be an awesome idea to plunk him onto OUAT.  

There were many schools of thought on this, the primary one being that ABC wanted him for something and wanted to keep him on contract.  That was 2014.  I’m typing this in 2020, and there’s still no Michael Socha show on ABC.  So that was a load of horse shit -- or else Socha told ABC to fuck off and hightailed it back to England.  My money is on the latter.

okay this is my first time ever typing this but i need you guys’ help *ugly sobbing* so few months ago, i read this one jimin fic. it is angsty, no, heavy angst plus a bit smut. i remembered the story went like this:

jimin becoming a ghost after he was stabbed to death and meet his lover only when halloween comes if i’m not mistaken. like his lover will wait on that days to spend time together with this ghost!jimin and make love. oh seokjin and yoongi was in it too. after jimin’s death, his lover was mourning and becoming introverted until she meet seokjin in college. like seokjin was the one that approaches her first and then they become friend. apparently, jimin knew about seokjin and he told his lover to like let things go and well his lover did not want to. the climax of this story is when jimin and his lover went to a halloween party and meet yoongi. well jimin somehow can control if he wanted anyone to see him something like that. yoongi confronted jimin’s lover and asked her to leave jimin cause somehow yoongi knew that jimin is not human. and that the time jimin will become like an evil ghost (if he doesnt cross to the other side) was near. jimin’s lover knew about this after jimin told her but she is heavyhearted to let jimin go.  at the end of the fic, jimin finally resolve all the things that made him stuck which is he just want his lover to be happy and vanished, leaving his lover behind with seokjin. *sobs sobs*

i remembered crying so bad like a mad woman because it is so freaking sad :((((( but the thing is, i couldn’t find this fic anywhere in tumblr *again ugly sobbing* and i already used every single keyword i remembered to search it just to read it again. and also i couldn’t remembered whether i liked the post or reblogged it but usually i do cause i like to re-read my fav fic over and over again but yeah i dont remember cause i try to go through my liked posts but to no avail :( so i wanted to ask if any of you ever read this fic, and if any of you did and remembered the title, can you share it with me? please? but if and only if this post were read by the author-nim and author-nim already deleted it, i am sad but rather than that, i want to say thank you for writing such a good angsty jimin fic and manage making me cry like a lots :3

texas never whispers is a weird one. it takes place in the united states (hence, texas), which i’m always wary of, and the fic itself is kind of an acquired taste; one i happen to have. there’s a lot of drugs and angst, which, you know, totally my jam, but not evreyone’s. read at your own discretion, but it’s not that long, so if you end up not liking it, no harm no foul, really

ok so another i remember the plot of but can't seem to remember the name is a christmas one, xiuhan, and it takes place near christmastime. so xuimin is younger than luhan, but they meet and kinda fall in love?? but luhan is obliged to marry someone else, so the two spend christmas together, and then luhan leaves. they dont meet again, but the ending is where they meet again, in another life, on a bridge at christmastime, and assumedly fall in love. thanks for finding these two for me!!

alice to zouroku: 5/10. I think this show failed on three levels: 1) not understanding the genre it wanted to be 2) plot structure and focus did not suit the characters or themes 3) BUDGET 4) replaced sana’s personality with FRAZZLED for three episodes in lieu of actually... yknow... any Thing. watch if you want to see it based on what others say because honestly I kind of checked out on it. I could see this having a higher review from others but seriously christ if I had to read the word “frazzled” one more time I was going to knife

seikaisuru kado: 10/10 from me because I cum for extradimensional science. I recognize that the last third had some structural problems but I believe the setup WAS present and consistent, and clearly the show was intended to flow smoothly but something forced the recap episode in and we had to squash out some of the development. I can't spoil this though so thats all. go watch it if you like Cosmos and understand the themes or if you just like sci fi. its really cool.

ID-0: 9/10. ADAMS FORTE CHEVALIER. sci fi cult classic in the making here (cus no one had the good sense to watch it lol sad tho) and strong recommend. it doesnt have a 10 because it starts really slow and kind of could be 2-3 eps less but goddamn it was cool. watch if ADAMS FORTE CHEVALIER

oushitsu kyoushi haine: 9/10 very consistently executed. everyone was likeable and (mostly) it was tightly plotted. charming and good budget. very honest. excellent hook for season 2. has some chibi and it does it right for the first time in 20 years. watch for heartwarming and if you like boys or something its a good show just go check it out

uchouten kazoku S2: 7/10 and probably biggest letdown of the year. so this show is supposed to be fun, right? that’s like the entire point? why were the last 4 episodes filled with torment, perdition, and brutality? why did we have the same plot as S1 plus the nidaime? where did the honesty and charm go? I think the key line that typifies what went wrong here is jyuroujin yelling "I RULE THE SKIES OF KYOTO!" like no bro this wasnt even.. a thing... ever. dont watch it but go watch season 1. season 3 might redeem this. im like 80% sure itll get made eventually since most people somehow apparently liked this one...

eromanga sensei: 3/10 and that's only because the animation and art quality was really good and I feel that it’s important to recognize that they had no part in making the show shit (honestly did a real good job). everything else gets a 0. this show is purest buttcrack cancer and I have no idea what I was thinking by liking it in any way other than the animation. the last 5 episodes were just the author masturbating in your face. there wasn't even an ending! it just stopped! also this is like proof that we're getting toddlercon within the next 1-2 years because oh god kill me. dont watch this pile of shit. dont support this  kind o f behavior anime was a  Mistake

sakura quest: 9/10 and going really, really strong. its nearing the 10 range really fast now that we've finally developed a clear overall plotline. this is still Feels Quest. if you're not watching this you really need to as a young adult (thats all of you probably) its so good in every single way.

sin: nanatsu no taizai: 9/10 hey this is where all the fun and delight that got sapped from uchouten went! we found it guys it's over here. I'm astounded, really truly amazed that this got produced for a titty anime figure line because it's super gay, and super sweet, and a wild ride. miami. you really should be watching this. all the male viewers hate it because the fanservice is all grotesque (what little real fanservice there is) it's all weird fetish material that's downplayed into kind of Just A Thing. it's fuckin awesome

girl beats boys: 8/10. a fine quick watch. good VN setup. good fight scenes (though short) and charming, interesting, unique way to present the material. worthy of respect, to my amazement since its an 8 minute show. hey my druids.

love tyrant: 8/10 actually? I picked this up on a whim because hey I should watch the other fanservice bullshit this season. turns out this had a lot of really great stuff in it. lots of good fetish material, really hot sadist, yandere shit, incest, reversal of gender roles, hot sadist, weird 6-winged face angels, companionship and the innocence of learning about young love. yeah that's all in one show. also there's a penguin that's like a sexual predator and a super saiyan terminator and that is why. the points were. deducted. from the show because why. anyway this one was fun. watch if fun and also hot sadist. did I mention her yet

other things I watched lately:

kekkai sensen: so I don't remember what I rated it but I could see anywhere from a 4 to a 10 being appropriate for a viewer. it had all the elements of a really good show, and lots of incredible animation and music, but it ended up being like... eating a whole package of cookies in one sitting? like, you're just choking down all this rad shit, and it just becomes too much and turns you off and probably gives you diseases. I think they also somehow dropped ~4 major antagonist plotlines without even resolving them but I feel like I got tricked because I only noticed it now. I would say watch this for sure but try to take it slow

scrapped princess: 8/10 stands out as a strong shonen title from the middle age of anime. watch if youre into that. strong character designs and pretty good art, great OP/ED. main complaint is that main character guy turned into Just An Angry Man for no real reason which was like ok if we gotta

hell girl S1: 8/10. not too sure what to say. it was cool and it had a good ending but it was pretty meandering which made it rather slower than it could hve been. also the horror was overplayed into Silliness almost, so it didn't have as much impact as I was hoping? will be watching S2-4 eventually though

basket army: ha ha what the fuck? did they really try to sell a novel with this? delete this

binbougami ga!: 9/10 I can't even explain this show honestly but it made me laugh REALLY hard at least once per episode which is my qualification for a comedy to be good
