Imagine if Sam and Darlin' got into a heated argument that was getting absolutely no where sometime after Darlin' moved in.

Sam comes to the conclusion that, clearly, they need to sit down and come to a compromise. It's obvious that there's no way that this can be solved in a way where everybody thrilled with the outcome. But they both still have to be okay with whatever they come up with.

So Sam suggests that they stop the argument and have an actual conversation.

But, when Darlin argues with people, they get angry. This is something they're aware of.

So they tell Sam that, having a talk is fine, but they need space to cool off.

Sam understands and respects that, so he asks if they want to step out, or they want him to step out. (This fight obviously takes place at night)

Darlin' begins to head for the door, and before they leave, they scoff a bit before they say "I'll step out, I'm not gonna kick you out of your own house" and they leave. Leaving Sam standing there, a bit dumbfounded, because this is both of their homes, not just his. And it nags at him for the rest of the night.

Eventually, Darlin comes back, and the two sit and have a conversation where they come to a compromise and the night goes on as normal.

But, even though the argument is over, what they said was still bugging him.

So, when the sun is coming back up and they're cuddling together in bed, Sam decides to say something. He's completely unaware of the fact that Darlin' was about to clock out

"By the way, this is our house not just mine."

Darlin looks up at him like he's crazy

"What in hell are you talking about?"

"Earlier, when you left, you said "I'm not gonna kick you out of your own house" I'm just making sure you know it's our house, not just mine"

"Ohh, thats what you're on about. My bad, didnt mean to stress you out with that"

"It didn't 'stress me out' I just wanted to make sure you knew" (lie)

"Suree, it totally had no affect on you whatsoever"

"It didn't!"

"Whatever you say cowboy, now shut up so I can sleep"

"Okay, i love you Darlin'"

"I love you too Sam"
