hey, quick question- would you accept nier 1.22 tracks as submissions? I adore the soundtrack but it’s never been released in any official capacity as far as I know (which SE super needs to get on!!!)

They've released the album officially to purchase, so absolutely :) I agree though, fuck square enix put the fucking 1.22 tracks on your square enix youtube music channel or spotify please and thank you it's been three years :))))))

Alright as of 4:21 a.m. last night, at the cost of my sleep, sanity, mental and physical well-being, hydration loss via tears, and soul, I have in fact completed Persona 5 Royal. 11/10 game, my brain chemistry is permanently altered and I now have a new standard for how much emotional anguish I am capable of experiencing

Thank you to the persona anon who was waiting for me to finish the game, I can't be spoiled any longer so I will now read any P5-relevant asks I got/get and I will do my best to read it through my tears, otherwise I'm getting back to ask answering now

two separate wips as evidence that i have been drawing and getting nowhere with it. coincidentally the first one is a demon girl and the second one is going to be an angel girl (haven't drawn the wings yet) and they're entirely unrelated to one another

anyway I didn't enjoy Nier Automata nearly as much as I thought I would. The grief and loss felt in the last act of the game at first pushed me to forward, but eventually I felt like it stopped having any meaning to the narrative, that it was loss for the sake of loss. At the end these characters have nothing to fight for. However the narrative to me didn't feel like it spent time dealing with that. I'm okay with a story circling around the concept of what to fight for when all is gone, but I don't actually see the characters themselves struggle with this in a conclusive way. Ending C definitely deals with this the best, indicating that 9S is left unmoored from a purpose and lays down his sword. But for the most part a lot of conclusive meanings to be drawn from the overall narrative just feels more coincidental. Like Nier Automata had a lot of cool ideas without really knowing what it wanted to say about them. I actually enjoy ending A and B the most, ending on a hopeful note on the future between these two, ultimately the same, factions. With the concept of 9S living in a robot body going forward. I don't mind a good tragic story, but Nier Automata made me feel overall like 'damn if all that happened would that be sad and fucked up or what?'
