love being assaulted by a kid and sent to the er, then being expected to go back to work “in whatever capacity I can” when I had to literally crawl to get back into my apartment last night. usa work culture is so so normal and cool.

#luckily I can get around with a cane today #but idk what they'd expect me to do aside from maybe some extra training if they have it #cause my job regularly involves running and physically protecting kids(and myself and coworkers) from assault #and I'm not trained to do anything else aside from everyday work operations and the paperwork it involves. which I obviously can't do rn #god forbid they just give workers comp and let me rest #we were so short staffed yesterday I couldn't even go to the er for an hour and a half after I was hurt #but me being there isn't going to solve any staffing issues when I'm like this lol #I was just starting to push back through and feel motivated to stay at this job #this is making me want to quit all over again and if they continue to be shitty about this it's going to be the nail in the coffin #and they're gonna be even shorter staffed. and continue to wonder why they can't fucking keep any employees #despite how much we care about these kids
