lira using kulning methods to call her pack back to her or communicate with loved ones whenever they’re separated. for those of you with muses that have established territories she’ll use it as a friendly way of letting them know she’s in the area.

Mel:

1. What’s their full name? Why was that chosen? Does it mean anything?

Her full name is Mel Evella Doering. 

Mel’s family follows a naming system that’s been passed down through the generations. The first name is chosen from communication through the fire (which, yes, can speak to those who are blessed by it), then the middle name is taken from the birth-giver’s grandparent. 

The last name is one of several family names within her tribe. 

Mel’s name means “Fireweaver, bringer of darkness, bringer of hope” when directly translated from her language.

10. Do they like children? Do children like them? Do they have or want any children? What would they be like as a parent? Or as a godparent/babysitter/ect?

Mel loves kids! In Avra’s opinion it’s because Mel’s never really grown up. 

Children usually love Mel since she lets them get away with just about everything and she can show them neat tricks. I mean, who doesn’t like playing with fire when you can make cool shapes out of it and nearly burn your eyebrows off?

Mel wants kids, but not until the whole Dream Eater thing is sorted out. She’s planning on using a pregnancy spell and adopting children when she’s ready. As a parent and general caregiver, I feel I can sum her up in one sentence: 

“Don’t tell your Mom.”

18. What’s their favourite genre of: books, music, tv shows, films, video games and anything else

Mel loves most music, but she particularly loves the traditional folk songs her family sings or the sound of kulning to communicate. If she’s ever in town, no doubt she heads straight for the nearest singer. 

As for books, Mel isn’t much of a reader. TV exists in Yugmai, but it’s rare and hard to find. 

Ren:

22. What are their favourite insults to use? What do they insult people for? Or do they prefer to bitch behind someone’s back?

Ren tends to insult people right to their face if he’s unhappy with them. Usually he doesn’t insult people, but if you piss Ren off, my only advice would be to run.

Ren insults his best friend, Karluk, in a friendly way most times. It’s usually when Karluk acts like an asshole or does something that should be common sense not to do. Like gutting fish before eating them.

“You absolute bag of broken bones!”

“You grass-snorting spoon-wafer!”

“I swear to Falla, if I placed a blanket over your head, you’d think you were dead.”

26. How do they act when they’re happy? Do they sing? Dance? Hum? Or do they hide their emotions? 

Ren hums and bounces when he’s happy, it’s very obvious when he’s in a good mood. Ren is generally a happy person, so it’s not uncommon to find him singing while making breakfast or doing some other task.

When Ren laughs, he throws his head back and fully cackles and it’s great. Sometime he snorts and it’s very contagious. 

He’s not someone who hides his emotions. 

44. What is their favourite season? Type of weather? Are they good in the cold or the heat? What weather do they complain in the most? 

Ren’s favourite season is fall or winter. He loves cooler weather since he’s terrible with the heat. He constantly complains in the summer to the point that they made him a cooling spell. 

Karluk:

47. How do they act in a formal occasion? What do they think of black tie wear? Do they enjoy fancy parties and love to chit chat or loathe the whole event?

Depends on what he wants from this occasion. At a party where he needs favours or wants people to like him? He’ll be an absolute doll, the most charming person you’ve ever met.

Dragged to a party or planning a heist? He’ll create absolute chaos: spreading gossip, stealing things, rigging things to screw up, you name it. 

Karluk doesn’t mind formal parties, but he’d much rather be at home or doing something else. He likes formal clothing in small doses but he’s terrible at picking it out.

49. What is their most valued object? Are they sentimental? Is there something they have to take everywhere with them?

Karluk has no valued objects. He has things he likes and keeps them in his room for entertainment, but otherwise, there’s nothing he’d be particularly upset if he lost them.

The only thing that he remotely values would be his notebooks, filled with information on anything he finds interesting. He’s not sentimental.

50. If they could only take one bag of stuff somewhere with them: what would they pack? What do they consider their essentials?

A few books, a notebook, his magic supplies, food, water, and perhaps a photo of his baby sister. Anything to keep him entertained.
