Tbh I'm a jikooker, but I find it incredibly difficult to fit a healthy long-term relationship into the same timeline as all of jimin's solo work. Idk, I'm sure someone could twist everything a certain way and only take certain things at face-value and then make everything else abstract, etc. to make the case that they are together, but I don't really see it. I think jimin could have very well gone through a pretty awful breakup along with the inner turmoil he was going through post-covid, but I don't think it was with jungkook if he did. You had been friends with the gang for a while now. While you weren’t sure exactly when it happened, you started hanging out more frequently when Steve, Robin and you started working at the same place after briefly being co-workers at Family Video. It was obvious that the group liked you around and you found that it became almost a weekly occurrence lately. At least, almost everyone. For whatever reason, you didn’t get that vibe from Eddie all that much.

He engaged in conversations with you, sure, preferably when drunk or high, but even during those times it was as if he would suddenly remember who he was talking to and he’d quickly cut the conversation in favor of going somewhere else or striking up a conversation with the nearest person aside from you. Not only that, but due to Jonathan being Jonathan, it wasn’t a rare occurrence that there was a camera on hand for someone to take pictures throughout the evening. Even Steve had taken up an interest in photography lately, liking the idea of having some tangible memories of good times. So therefore, pictures were being taken. At first you assumed that Eddie didn’t like his picture taken, since he always moved away once a camera came into view. But the more pictures you saw, the more you realized that apparently he only seemed to have a problem being photographed next to you.

There were a bunch of pictures with other people where he clearly didn’t have a care in the world for it, sometimes even posing silly for them. It wasn’t until this one night where you were all hanging out together and Jonathan gave everyone a copy of the group photo that had been taken sometime ago, that you reached your limit. 

It was the one photo where Eddie had stood next to you because it had simply been the better spot for him to stand according to the person who took the photo. You remembered vaguely how much closer you stood to Robin than Eddie did to you, but it became all the more obvious when you had the actual photo in your hands. His whole upper body was leaning away from you in a way that was simply too obvious. He never did that with anyone else.

Although this situation had been bothering you for a while now, you had avoided bringing it up with anyone from the group since you were essentially the odd one out and weren’t feeling like creating an awkward atmosphere. However, the longer you gazed at this photo, the more you felt like you didn’t belong anyway. Not if Eddie had a say in it.

So there you were, making your way over to Eddie who was already stuffing his copy in his back pocket. As soon as he noticed you, his eyes darted away and he looked downright uncomfortable. Great. Great start.

“Sup, Y/N,” he greeted you awkwardly while pushing his thumb through a belt loop. His other hand fiddled with an empty beer can that he was trying to balance on the bushes next to him.

“Hi, Eddie,” you started, glancing around to see if anyone was in hearing distance. Regret was already starting to seep in. “Can I ask you something?”

Everything about his expression told you that he’d rather be anywhere else than in front of you right now, especially with the way he avoided looking at you.

“Uhh, sure.”

He frowned slightly and decided it was the perfect time to light a cigarette. As you tried to build up the courage, Eddie gathered his lighter and busied himself trying to get it to work. You wondered if anyone else could see the tension oozing out of you the way you felt it.

“Did I ever do or say something to make you dislike me?”

You watched as his frown deepened, still flicking his thumb over the striker in slight frustration and you could tell the moment he registered your words, as his eyes immediately flick towards you.

“Huh?”

A soft sigh escapes your lips, cheeks flushing from embarrassment for making a big deal out of this. He probably couldn’t care less whether you were around or not. He was probably just indifferent to it all. Still… you just wanted to know.

“I mean that, uhm, you kind of avoid me whenever you can? And… I don’t know, this?” You showed him the photo, your finger easily fitting between the gap between you two, whereas everyone else is very much huddled close together. You were almost certain you heard him swear under his breath and you immediately feared that you had annoyed him even more. Wasn’t it a fair question to ask, though?

“I don’t dislike you, Y/N,” Eddie mumbled, his cheeks tainting a little pink. “That’s the whole problem.” Finally, he managed to get his lighter to work. He took a drag of his cigarette while continuously fumbling with the lighter so much to the point of it dropping onto the floor. He huffed around his cigarette, smoke leaving through the small gaps near the corners of his mouth. Wordlessly, you picked it up for him and your fingers briefly brushed each other before he snatched the lighter away from you so he could stuff it back into his pocket.

“What do you mean?” you decided to ask when you realized he wasn’t going to elaborate. He was once again avoiding your gaze and it became harder for you to keep your patience.

“Means I— like you. And I kind of don’t want… things to get in the way of, y’know, this,” he mumbled as he gestured around. “The group. Everything.”

You crossed your arms, vaguely registering that he just confessed something to you but you were too annoyed to let it linger in your brain for too long. Apparently, you had been feeling bad for weeks, months even, because Eddie Munson had decided it was better to avoid you.

“Well that’s a pretty shit reason to treat someone like garbage.”

Eddie, who had been avoiding your gaze up until now, looked up with big eyes, concern in them wide and obvious.

“G-Garbage? I didn’t mean to—”

“I’m sure you didn’t, but you did. In fact—” You held up a finger and walked back into the house wordlessly, leaving him standing there. Argyle gave you a nod as you passed him while he was getting him and Jonathan another beer. You fished out some tape and scissors from a drawer, decided that you didn’t need the latter as you ripped yourself and eddie off the picture, only to tape it back together horribly so that you disappeared and Eddie stood next to Robin instead. Without a gap. Eddie met you halfway on your way back to him, blocking the doorway as he spread his hands across the doorpost.

“Y/N—”

“Here. All fixed.” You pushed the photo into his hands, gave him no time to respond and walked away. To your surprise, you ran into Steve near the front door as he just came downstairs.

“Oh, leaving so soon?” he asked you curiously, “weren’t you gonna get a ride with someone?”

You shook your head and gave him a weak smile.

“No, change of plans. Gonna get picked up in a moment, so… I’m heading out. See you soon?” It wasn’t meant to be a question, but suddenly you weren’t too sure if you were going to see him or anyone for that matter anytime soon.

“Oh, alright. Yeah, soon!” He gave you a quick shoulder squeeze and one of his warm smiles and you knew that if he hadn’t drank that much, he probably would have waited to see if you actually had a ride. Lucky for you, that meant you could grab your jacket and slip out quietly.

Eddie was busy chewing his bottom lip away from stress as he tried to come up with something to say to you, to make it up. It had never been his intention to hurt you at all, he was just… protecting himself. Which was apparently the stupidest idea because now he hurt you of all people. He looked up, already stumbling over his words as he heard footsteps approach him and he was eager to grasp onto his second chance when he realized it was Steve instead.

“Where’s Y/N?”

“She went home,” Steve shrugged, grabbing a beer and waiting for Eddie to let him pass.

“Wasn’t she supposed to get a ride with Jon and Nance?”

Steve shrugged again.

“She said she was being picked up in a moment.”

Right. As if. Despite his disbelief, he nodded and gave Steve a pat on the shoulder.

“Alright, thanks dude.”

Without announcing his departure, he left through the front door and took a left. The plan had been to stay over at Steve’s place, so he had consumed beers with that in mind and didn’t feel like driving would be a smart idea right now. But man he hated walking. Or jogging, which he was actually doing. He knew the quickest road to your home, he wasn’t stupid. He paid attention. Not just for reasons. He totally hadn’t sat in his van at the corner of your street, wondering if he should just spontaneously ring the doorbell since he couldn’t get a word out whenever he tried to phone your house. Ever since you had brought up “this creepy anonymous caller who keeps hanging up after some noisy breathing” he hadn’t dared to try again. Needless to say, he never gathered the guts to go over and actually act out his plan.

This however, was different. And with shortness of breath, his band tee sticking to his torso already due to the humidity this summer, he finally caught up to you.

“Y/N!”

You turned around at the sound of your name and your eyes widened when you spotted Eddie, hunched over, hands resting on his knees as he huffed short breaths. Mind you, you had only just rounded the corner of the street Steve lived on. Which wasn’t that long.

“Jesus… H— Christ, I hate running,” he groaned, wiping the sweat off his forehead and messing up his bangs in the process. A little annoyed, he lifted his t-shirt to ruffle through his hair a bit to fix it, exposing his stomach in the process. Not the point, you forced yourself to think as your eyes dragged over his happy trail.

“Then why’d you run?” you asked dryly, hands on your hips because your brisk walk had gotten you a little out of breath as well, with all the emotions running through you on top of it.

“Because I couldn’t let you leave like that. Also— Getting a ride? My ass. I knew that was bullshit when Steve said it.”

“Must be because I’m so unlikable, right? Who in their right mind would offer me a ride,” you mumbled as you rolled your eyes.

“Me! Did you not hear what I said before?” Eddie asked slightly exasperated. “Where does this fucking sweat keep coming from Jesus Christ—”

“Yeah, you like me so much that you go out of your way to make me feel unwelcome and act like I’m some sort of repellant you want to stay away from. Nice.” Eddie sighed softly and took a few steps towards you, making him close enough for you to have to look up to meet his eyes. Your heartbeat was deafening, and it had nothing to do with being a little out of breath.

“I never, ever meant to make you feel unwelcome, Y/N. I get why you feel that way, I do, and I’m sorry. I don’t want this,” he mumbled sincerely, grabbing the ripped up picture you taped together. You glanced down at his hand holding it and followed it all the way down as he let it drop onto the pavement.

“You shouldn’t litter,” you mumbled weakly.

“Yeah, yeah, I’ll— Fine.” He crouched down, picked it up and stuffed it back into his pocket. “I still don’t want it though,” he said pointedly. His eyes met yours briefly and it was easy to drown in those stupidly beautiful eyes of his. You followed his gaze as it wandered down to his hands, empty now.

His hands hesitantly took hold of yours, slightly calloused thumbs rubbing the back of your hands gently.

You gave his hands a soft squeeze and dared to look up at him only to find his gaze fixated on your hands, his cheeks giving away a subtle flush in the dim light around you.

You took noticed of the tight hold but didn't say anything about it, "New record huh? Why are you asking this all of the sudden? Are you planning on breaking up with-"

"No." he interrupted you immediately, "I know you said that you won't make a fuss or anything like that if we broke up one day but... now we have stayed together for this long..."

He raised his head back which made you turned your upper body to look up at him, your eyes met with his.

"Are you sure you would take it well if we ever broke up?" he asked, his eyes showing how vulnerable he looked at the moment, a rare sight for you.

You didn't say anything, you just stared back at him, thinking of the possibility if you two eventually broke up and how would you feel?

He waited for your answer and was somehow a bit anxious as he saw your eyes looking away for a moment before they met back with his.

"I... might be sad about it, but I think I'll move on. I said to you before, I move on pretty fast." you smiled as if that was to reassure him which did nothing to him.

"That if I am the one who asked for it but what if you are the one who wants to break up?" he leaned down towards your face a bit, he was frowning.

"If I am the one asking for it..." you never thought of that because in your previous relationships, you were never the one to initiate it.

You were too kind and considerate sometimes that it made you looked like you never have the saying in any relationship you have been. (Totally not the author before she knew her self-worth)

Your silence was uncomfortable for him so he decided to say something, "If you're the one who wants to break up with me, I'll be sad." he said softly before pressing his lips against yours.

He kissed you for a few seconds before pulling away to say, "I might have a few women with me before but..." he kissed you again this time a bit longer before pulling away again, "... I want you to stay..."

Before you could say anything he kissed you again this time, he wasn't going to pull away.

Slowly he loosened his grip around your waist and then moved you and himself a bit so that you were facing him. His hands slowly going to your hands, grabbing them and placed them on his shoulders. You caught on with his action so you wrapped your arms around his neck while his were wrapped back around your waist, continuing the kiss. It was a passionate one, like he always did but this one might be a little too passionate.

Eventually, you two pulled away from the kiss, looking at each other with eyes showing the truth behind the faces you saw. His love for you was genuine and it showed. Maybe... just maybe... He has finally found the person he wants to be with.

"I want you to stay, I want to stay with you. You belong to me... and I'll make sure of it." was the last thing he said before pinning you against the wall and pulling you in for another kiss.

I've been watching BV 4 recently and wanted your insights on Tae and taekook in this season. Tae seemed really sad and disconnected to me and tk barely interacted or made efforts to hang out with each other.

While members chose group activities, Tae chose to explore the city alone. BV is a time for them to spend time together as a group and enjoy but i sensed a weird block from Tae's end. He was there physically but not really mentally there if that makes sense. Especially important since they started the season saying they hadn't met or spoken to each other in some time.

Jimin is an empath and hence we saw him really taking efforts including Tae in activities and taking care of him. Other members just let him be.

This season was late 2019, was this a period when Tae wasn't doing well? Did you get the feeling that he was disconnected from the group? Till when did this continue and was this observed in other content as well?

Similarly in context to Tk, do you agree that they do seem distant. And doesn't it give some credence or probability to the timeline or story of them having drifted apart as friends?

As a Tae biased army it does make me a bit sad seeing Tae in this season. Would really appreciate some insights on how you or older Army's perceived this.

Edit after finishing rewatching all episodes: Aside from me being in a rewatch kinda vibe the last month or so, I could not for the life of me recall feeling the way you (anon) did about this BV series. It was some time ago that I watched this in full, and I started to wonder if my recollection about Tae was perhaps flawed. But after rewatching, I still don't see Tae disconnected and sad. I haven't once seen this sort of vibe "Jimin is an empath and hence we saw him really taking efforts including Tae in activities and taking care of him. Other members just let him be." I paid attention to Tae and Jk ofcourse, and while I agree this is a very low Tkky series, I do not feel that they were avoidant or awkward. I saw them together in the background of things. They looked at each other with smiles and love all throughout, they went to walk, sit, stand next to each other often. As a Tkkr, this is what I feel was still going on in 2019: I don't believe in the narrative that Tae and Jk grew apart. It makes no sense to me in a wider context and I feel there is plenty to point at that not being true. It's ofcourse possible they had rocky times and therefore had moment that they seemed off, but I don't think they were ever distant for as long as the general narrative would have people believe. I believe BH made an effort to make it seem like Tae and Jk weren't something special, but rather just bandmembers.. and not the closest ones for that sake. You'l find special interactions or outings with many pairs, but never Tae and Jk. they are mostly together with other members present. I believe that was a conscious choice, and probably a definite plan that was come up with when Bh realized Tae and Jk were a couple. When you don't believe Tae and Jk are together, tis is not something you consider to be possible. I think for outsiders, nothing weird will be found during this BV series. As Tkkrs however, we are missing the physical closeness we know Tae and Jk had (even during 2019). For example, this was them in august and october (before and after BV was fimed).

So what we know about Tae and Jk, does not fully come out during this BV.. and I think that was an editing choice, but also Tae and JK and the members knowing what the deal is and that they just can't be Taekook for a few days.

About Tae's mental health.. it's hard to say exactly when he was going through the worst period.. or if it perhaps was fluctuating in intensity. I don't think from this footage we can say that he was feeling down. It's not how I see it anyways. But, people with mental health problems very often know how to mask very well, so it is ofcourse a possibility that that's what he was doing. I think it likely that Jk's scandal effected them during this trip. Jk felt the need to appologize, and whether that was something hé felt he needed to do, or something that he was told to do.. it's obvious the issue was something they dealt with while in NZ. I think it would have bothered both Tae and JK.

Anyways.. it's interesting how different people can have such different views on the same footage 😂

Warning… this is long. Your ask prompted me to rewatch, and I did a little note-taking while watching the episodes. At this point I have only rewatched 5 episodes, I wanted to post this today because it’s loooooooong and I kinda said I would. I’m gonna watch the other episodes the next couple of days and edit this post when I have finished. This is going to be my opinion on footage that was taken while I wasn’t in fandom yet. So I’m unable to talk with the point of view of someone who went through this realtime. Feel absolutely free to comment or send asks with additions.

So, they spent 6 days in New Zealand right? What we got to see was only a couple of hours of their time there. Yoongi said that 80 percent of film is edited out.. that is no joke, that is actually true. On top of that, the stuff that is chosen to be in the released footage, is the exciting/interesting stuff... while we might see some clips of members just hanging around (because the message is supposed to be that they're relaxing.. while this is still work for them on a certain level... you can't actually relax when there's a film crew around).. they're not going to show boring stuff (or stuff we're not meant to see). Tae and Jk are pretty lowkey and aside from my believe in their relationship being hidden, I also think their moments are not deemed interesting enough at times. Their vibe is different from Jk and Jm's bolsterous interactions, it's different from Jm and Tae's cute supporting vibe. Jm is an extrovert, very clearly so... and extroversion is often deemed fun to watch. While Tae has been described as an extrovert at times... I also think he has a strong introverted tendency (and he turned out to be an infp while taking the test) so Tae and Jk together are just a lowkey couple. To add to this further, Jm is an empath, but so is Jk. Their differences in extroversion is why the way it's practiced is also different.

Now.. more specifically about BV4. For context.. Tae did seem to have mental issues during 2019/20... and during this BV Jk went through the tattoo artist 'scandal'. Mental health issues are a tricky thing... because we're not always able to tell from the outside what someone is going through on the inside. So take into consideration that we’re possibly not even able to understand the actual state of Tae’s mental health fully from the little bit of footage we’re given… same goes for any member really.

To start with the "not having seen each other debate that popps up a lot". I think this is blown up way out of proportion (probably thanks to Jkkrs pushing it as a debunk). I'm not really aware of what both of them were doing around this time. They had a month off, which isn't that long if you also go traveling. Anyways, it's possible they needed time apart.. I can imagine things being tough from time to time, so maybe this was intentional. Maybe they just had different plans... Tae traveled a lot with friends and family, and maybe Jk just wasn't into that? Maybe Jk's perception of time was off and it was less long than he thought since he'd seen Tae. Maybe it's a members and Tae situation. Maybe he's very aware of not being able to mention Tae as flippantly as he does other members. Maybe they were off atm (though it doesn't seem like it to me). All sorts of possibilities, but I doubt they weren't in contact at all. Being apart while knowing that in a bit you'll be spending plenty of time together again is pretty doable for most people. You'll never see Jk and Tae act like a couple in content for real, they know they can't do that on camera. BV, ITS, Run, Interviews... it's all work and they will always behave according to that.

In general I think there's nothing weird about their interactions, but rather that it feels something is missing. We know Jk and Tae are touchy and they hang off and on eacch other.. we don't get that here. On top of that.. when we do see them together it's mostly them with other members around, while other members do go of as pairs. It's almost as if Tae and Jk need chapperonnes 😂.

I'll get into the episode after the cut.. otherwise everyone will just be annoyed by how long this is.

Episode one is basically them travelling. It's rather uneventfull. A lot of sleeping and Tae wasn't feeling great for a bit. I'd say every Jk/Tae interaction was pretty normal. I don't feel Tae was off during this ep and we get Jk and Tae interactions a few times with them seeming completely normal to me.

Episode 2 starts with Tae and Jk in front seats of the campervan and then next to each other in the restaurant. Seems normal to me. We see some traveling, some shopping... Jk talking to sheep... Tae happily learning the Chicken Noodle soup dance. Tae and Jk together might not be the main focus, but they can be found close to each other often enough. Jk goes off on his own in the morning, when he gets that chunk of snow. I tend to think he wanted some time alone, since he didn't even wait for a camera to join him... Tae asking him if he's alright I interpret as him checking if Jk is mentally okay. People need space sometimes, that doesn't mean they have issues with the group they're with.. but rather that they need time to just be without having to consider other's feelings and wishes for a bit.

In episode 3 they start with a hike, and Tae does wander off a bit.. but I don’t feel it’s because he wants to be alone.. but rather to see where the path leads them. When Jk approaches the table where Tae, Hobi and Jin are eating he doesn’t hesitate to touch Tae’s back. There’s more driving and shopping. Jk takes Tae’s pic at a reststop. They eat, shop and drive again. Jk takes pics if Tae again and they laugh together like normal. Hobi, Tae, Jm and Jk practice the Chicken Noodle soup dance again. I feel Tae is participating enthusiastically in everything they do. He comes up with ideas, he laughs freely, he interacts with the others naturally. Tae and Jk keep bot being the main focus, yet they do continue to find each other all throughout. We see them standing close, touching, laughing, walking together. I feel there’s no avoidance or weirdness from their side.

Episode 4 kicks of at the accomodation they're staying at. When Yoongi prepares their food Tae gets Jm, Jin, and Jk to participate into a joke-ish skit thingy.. Jk smiles at Tae adoringly. After dinner we do get Tae taking a walk in the dark alone. At that point though, you see several members taking a moment for themselves. I don't feel Tae was particularly sad. Pensive maybe? I think it's too short a clip to tell. The next day has them shopping again, and we get headband Tae and Jk (my weakness 🥰). Tae and Jk do the Chicken noodle soup dance with Hobi at the lake, after which Tae and Jk review the footage closely together. They go hiking as a group and Tae and Jk are closeby nearly all throughout. Tae asks Jk to stop because he wants to take his picture. More hiking. The episode ends with a chaotic preparation of their camping site. Again, I don't feel that Tae is particularly sad or distancing himself. They all take moments of solitude, which is pretty normal to me during a group vacation.

I'm now at episode 5 and I have not yet felt that at one point Jm was the reason for Tae to partake in group dynamics, but rather I feel Tae was enjoying himself. He takes initiative, goes to help when he can, is funny inbetween, has no trouble taking on stuff like driving, interacts with all of them.

During their dinner preparations and meal at the campsite Tae was very much taking a backseat. It didn't seem like him having a hard time to me though, I tend to think he was just tired. Preparing dinner isn't his thing, so the camera wasn't on him much because of that too. Dinnertime is often Yoongi and Jin's time to shine. Tae leaves to go to sleep without announcing it, and yes I think he was done for the day. I don't think it has anything to do with Jk or the members, but they had a tiring day with hiking, Tae drove for hours, and anyone will get sleepy in front of a campfire. It is possible that he felt sad ofcourse, but I don't feel that particularly showed in this footage. Jk was the one to ask where Tae was, he also took a quick peak to watch him sleep. They wake up in the morning and Tae does seem a bit subdued to me... but in all honestly, so does everyone else. When they leave the hottubs we see Tae wearing one glove.. just like Jk. During the drive Tae seems fine and happily participates in the singing. Tae chooses to do the swing while he could've easily passed.. he was even the one to try and persuade Jm. Tae enjoys it so much that he himself asks to do the catapult as well. Whe don't really see Tae and Jk's reactions to each other's jumps. When deciding who goes shopping for groceries.. I could swear I see Tae and Jk share a glance (but that's also possibly just me). Tae and Jk go shopping for groceries with Namjoon and Yoongi, Tae once again wears one glove on his hands. All seems well and we later find out Jk bought Tae a jacket.

In episode 6 Episode when returning to the camp site, Tae immediately tells Jm about the jacket he got from Jk. Tae is helping out at the camp site quite a bit. Tae is the one who asks Jm to come horseriding the next day. He also super cutely asks to hold Namjoon when they sleep. The next day they go on the helicopter flight and Tae is so happy to land at the snow. Jk is making a snowman. Vmin are the cutest. Namjoon and Jk trying to sled are hilarious. After that Jm and Tae spend some time together horseriding/cycling, but at no point do I feel it’s Jm trying to involve Tae.. I rather feel Tae is enthusiastic just because of himself. There’s really little Jk and Tae interaction in this episode. Jk was basically with Hyungline the whole time, while Vmin had a lot of moments. Only in the story untold do we get a bit of Tkk interaction when Tae gives Jk sunscreen.

Episode 7 starts with members arriving at the last place of their stay. Tae isn’t feeling well (carsick). Jm and Tae end up rooming, and Jk ends up with Namjoon. We see Jk sitting with Tae while he’s lying at the couch in the background. We see Jm massaging Tae who’s still not feeling well. Tae does go and watch when Jk prepares the fish. After dinner they play uno and Tae and Jk are next to each other. They interact normally I’d say, though they are mostly busy with the game. Jk has no problem leaning into Tae to help him decide which cards to play. For some reason we suddenly see Jk in the other side of the table. Tae seems to be in good spirits to me. Jk very confidently states that he’s the one sharing a room with Tae, which isn’t the case. Jk returns to sit with Tae after the game. Tae has to wake everyone up and hangs over Jk’s sleeping body for a while. So many headbands 🥰. Tae again is the one to ask Jm to ride the cable ride together. Tae and Jk ride to the top separately, which is a bit odd to me since they were the last two to go up. Later in the car Tae easily mentions Jk’s snoring and goes to describe it. Tae is a bit late to lunch, but in the Story Untold we learn he told them to start eating because he would take a while. We get to the part where Tae wanders through the city alone while the others chose to go on group activities. I think it’s important to point out that this is the only time that has happened during this trip and that I feel he was pretty involved with the others the whole time. You can’t really say Tae went out on his own, because he’s with a camera man. He looks in good spirits to me, so possibly he just really wanted to enjoy the city while the others went for more action. Doing things alone when you’re on a group outing can be very important because having to be social constantly can be draining. In the Story Untold we learn that Tae has muscle ache (from horse riding), so possibly that’s why he wanted to go to the city instead of doing something active.

Episode 8 starts with where we left off in episode 7. Tae is walking around town, having a burger and icecream. Jk is at the new fishing spot with Yoongi and Jin. Tae is home first and is super funny (to me at least) by hiding from Namjoon, Hobi and Jm when they return. At this point Tae is very clear about not going with the other's because his butt hurt 😂. Tae helps Hobi and Jm with dinner preparations and joins in normally and happily imo. They do funny skits. Jk walks in when Jm and Tae do a scene... considers what he's seeing for a few seconds.. and decides it's nothing new 😂. Jk tries to but in wiht the cooking, which neither Tae and Jm want him to do and they send him away. Tae: "I got rid of the intruder" 😂. Later on Jk helps Tae get the rice.. again nothing weird about it. They have a very happy dinner after which they start to dance and sing. Tae and Jk are next to each other, though not physically close like we know them to be. To me they seem a normal, happy part of the group. Tae looks at Jk dancing with a huge smile on his face. We get an entertaining game of UNO during which Tae is proud to not finish last. Jk goes off to bed as soon as he's done. Tae stays to watch the others finish.

During their solo interviews both Tae and Jk express having had a great trip. Tae hopes fans won't have a problem with him having gained a bt of weight (which... hello, he looks amazing) and eating a lot. Jk actually apologizes for the tattoo artist 'scandal', but he emphasizes having been happy on the trip.

Archie:

Overthinker!! Really bad anxiety issues, he leaned a lot on his family back home for help. Mind you, not his biological family, he grew up in a foster home and they´ve been his family since! He was second oldest of two brothers and one sister, and he´d do just about anything for them.

He misses them a whole lot, but he´s got his friends on the rig, who act like a second family! Notable relationships are Caz, Kelly, and Banky.

Missing one of his incisors! It was an accident when he was super little, but yeah, he´s got that missing tooth grin.

Kelly:

He´s a wily little man! One of the younger men on the rig and kinda like a frat boy, in a way. He´s pretty crafty, and has a lot of big ambitions, but he does struggle a bit because everything is constantly shifting with him. Nothing feels certain, especially at this time in his life, with divorce of his parents and the possibility of losing connection with his (much) younger sister, Cat. He wants to get custody of her, because his father moves around a lot for work and his mother is a bit of a deadbeat, but he´s got a lot else going on and he´s struggling to figure it all out.

Still, he´s a very lively man and very good friend. He, Douglas, Dobbie, and Gregor all have a bit of a special bond. They´re a very tight-knit group.

Douglas:

He´s just a skrunkly guy. A very hard-working, determined man who can be a little awkward but endearing all the same. He´s one of the people on the rig who tends to look after everyone, take all their concerns and bring them to Trots, or Rennick.

He´s a pretty big dreamer and has an idealistic way of looking at things. He is pretty open and friendly, but he still keeps his secrets. For example, there´s a girl back on the mainland that he´s been in love with for a long, long time. She has, too. He seeks to impress her, and eagerly awaits Christmas so he can return. He would go sooner, but he lives alone and wasn´t exactly thriving, so he needs the money. That´s fine! He´ll get paid and then go see her, he´s got all the time in the world, right?

Loudon(unnamed corpse </33):

He´s an older man, and a sad one, at that. He tends to go it alone more often than not. Works alone, eats alone, sleeps alone. He´s generally pleasant with people, and he hangs out, but he is quieter and more introspective.

He did not want to go on this rig, but he had to. There is a woman he met and loved, and who´s promised to wait for him. However long it takes. He thought about her often, wondered where she was now, and if she would wait. It consumed him, a little bit, and he fantasized about seeing her again.

His parents did not like their relationship. Because they suck.

Not too many fully thought out bits  because I came up with it. Literally an hour ago but I do have some fragments I want to work with so oNTO THE BULLET LIST >:D

Emporio accidentally making it storm HARD with Weather Report during that car ride so they have to pull over and wait it out because driving was too dangerous. This accidentally ends up forcing some bonding between the group and leads to them all becoming friends

The group gets very mixed vibes about Emporio, particularly about how he’s both incredibly smart but also knows very little about the world and is an emotional wreck

Emporio is both incredibly shy and awkward but also desperate for positive affection and proof they’re actually alive and here. Ends up being given One(1) head pat from Wes and bursts into tears right then and there

Then when they all try to comfort him it just makes him cry worse, and eventually this leads to him spilling some of his situation. Not the Universe Resetting Stuff, but how he was born in the prison, his mom hid him, how she was killed by a priest and he's been living in the walls ever since, terrified about said priest finding him, and how he was only able to get out thanks to his older sister, her friends and dad who were.... falsely?(not sure how to describe it, most of their situations are weird) imprisoned, but the priest killed them all too before Emporio could kill him back, so now while he’s technically safe he’s now completely alone

As one can image, They Were Not Expecting All That and collectively decide “yeah we’re keeping this kid safe,” leading to them sticking together for a bit when they get to their destination in the city so they can figure out what to do from here

If I’m remembering correctly, I believe that out of the four of them only Anasui would have his Stand so some chaos there when he learns this kid has two, one of which is pretty sentient and makes itself very clear that if any harm comes to Emporio There Will Be Consequences

Also speaking of Weather Report The Stand, it just kinda. Stares at Wes for a bit when nobody's looking. Things are definitely going to be awkward if the rest of the Gang ever get their Stands again

Emporio also talks to the Stand often, and it becomes a piece of comfort for him, however unfortunately it also has a habit of messing with the weather in response to Emporio’s emotions and wants. Florida can expect a lot of flash storms in the coming days

A few days into the five of them being friends and hanging out, they decide to go on a shopping trip and Emporio has stars in his eyes. He’d never been to a store before, let alone a mall. In the end Emporio easily gets the most stuff despite his reservations at the insistence of everyone else, and it ranges from stuffed animals to a new baseball and glove to new clothes(Emporio is positively giddy at the prospect of non-Green Dolphin clothes, and it both depresses the hell out of everyone but also his joy is infections and makes them all laugh)

At some point they end up meeting Foo Fighters, but not as a plankton. Instead they meet Foo’s old User before Pucci had stolen them and made them sentient. Funnily enough, their User’s personality is almost exactly the same as the Stand when they were sentient which is both another knife in Emporio’s heart but also a comfort because Foo gets to still exist in a sense

Jotaro being a good grandpa and recognizing the signs of Emporio’s trauma and helping him work through it. When the Stand aspect of Emporio’s trauma is revealed, he ends up contacting the SWF to get him a Stand Therapist so he won't have to hide it

sunday and the dca have a slightly . weird relationship i guess? it's something something romantic but i don't know if i'd fully define it as such? but i'd definitely say it leans more into romantic territory than it does platonic. uhhh they kiss each other and stuff.

sunday and sun have a sort of enemies-friends relationship? (in a lighthearted way.) they would kill each other, probably. it's complicated. they bully each other, especially sun with sunday. with moon though, sunday's pretty friendly, if not a little intimidated by him at first. sunday spends more time with moon technically since it's on nightshift. they do actually have a pretty good relationship. moon likes to shadow sunday during their shifts, and when sunday hangs out in the daycare they tend to spend time with sun since the lights are on. sun and sunday banter a lot.

the dca are all very close :) specifically moon and sun; they've always had each other through out everything that's ever happened to them. they've always known they can rely on the other and it'd take a lot to tear them apart. i don't think eclipse is as close to the other two as they are to each other. i don't think eclipse has been around for a long time. and when he was around, it kinda wasn't as a "third" to the group? it was more of like a replacement type deal? honestly i'm still trying to figure out how eclipse factors into all of this stuff because i had a lot already done before he was revealed ,,, but he doesn't by any means have a bad relationship with the others when he is present. they're all very amicable with each other!

sunday's very awkward, it got this job in the first place to NOT interact with other people. and these robots are.... way too human like it's starting to feel way too much like what it was trying to avoid. they have pretty bad anxiety disorder and are very shy. they're also a bit impulsive during stressful situations, especially if someone else is at risk. brain stops working. they blank a lot. they enjoy wasting time on their shifts once they get all their assigned cleaning and p&s tasks done, sometimes they'll stop in the daycare during these times. they share their work schedule with the dca so they know when sunday will or won't be at the pizzaplex and so they won't waste time looking for it. sunday also has a short temper. they actively try to be the kindest person they caj be and positive but they often have pretty negative thought patterns.

sun is very talkative, animated, and expressive. he talks with his hands a lot with grand gestures and little "acts" to go along with what he's talking about. sun is a more "jester's privilege" jokes and japes kind of guy. he has a very short fuse, especially when the virus is active, and loses his temper in very loud, but very short, bursts. he and sunday get into arguments because of this a lot! he loves to jingle all his bells but he can keep them all perfectly silent if he wants to, as can moon. sun enjoys crafts and singing! he's not very good at singing, but he has a keen eye for art. he actually really enjoys painting. he's not too bad at landscapes.

moon is very quiet, reserved, and mischievous. moon does NOT talk very much. most of what he's saying is conveyed through his hands motions and body language. it speaks very few words. moon loves pranks! it mainly pulls pretty harmless pranks, small ones, but they do begin to ramp up with the virus. of course. moon likes to sing and make music, and unlike sun, is actually pretty good at it! it really enjoys lullabies. moon spends a lot of time with music man learning music. djmm tends to adjust the music he's making when moon's around to suit it's tastes a little better.

eclipse, once again, is...... a bit hard for me to grasp,,. i'd see them as joyful, sing-songy, and kind. i also get a pretty clear image of jevil in my head when i think about him? really his chaos! chaos! i can do anything! line. i still struggle with how i want to perceive eclipse but i'd say my vision of him would align closer to canon than fanon. i do not like fanon balloon world eclipse very much. I AM A HATER !!!!! (lighthearted)

i’m finding different peoples’ takes on the vibe of the show rlly interesting. i personally didn’t sense an awkward vibe and i didn’t think they had nothing to talk about/no convo of substance. cuz tbh what else would they discuss other than lighthearted things and just joking around? it’s a show for the fans to see so i doubt they’d be immediately jumping into some deep conversation about their views on society and the world LOL. ig also to me, when im w a very close friend who ive known for years and i already know what’s going on in their life, theres not that many “new” things to talk about ? like it’s more so quick catching up and then you just resort to random conversations and being playful. idk maybe that’s just me. ofc deep conversations come up w close friends too but i’d never expect that from this type of documentary series which is clearly just meant to be fun and following them on their random outings/adventures.

but i have seen a few other ppl say they felt a super awkward and off vibe though so maybe im just missing something ? whatever it may be i still think the interactions are cute and very entertaining. im super excited (also a bit nervous/anxious) to see tae in the next episode. i think it’ll be a lot of fun w the three of them and im sure it’ll settle into something comfortable for the three of them within the first few interactions of all being together. i do wonder how they’ll frame the dynamic though. id we’ll see something vaguely equal or if it’ll be framed as jimin being the middle man as it has in the past. to me that would so obviously be convoluted since we know jungkook and tae have been hanging and much closer than vmin or jikook (who clearly hadn’t seen eo at all lol). but ik it’s not like they’ll rlly show just how close tkk are anyways so who knows. sorry this got so long, i went on a tangent 😭😭

I did sense awkwardness in ep1. I feel like "matched energy" has stopped being words that mean anything because I've used them so much over the last 24 hours but it's a good way to explain.

It's not about what they had to talk about. It's about the mismatch of mood and energy. But many things can influence that! Long flights, nervousness at doing a reality show without the other members, a foreign country, illness, not having seen each other for a while. Mismatched energy can be temporary or permanent. In their case, I felt it was temporary.

However, to my mind, what sets Taekook aside is that their energy is rarely mismatched and if it ever is, they're super adaptable to each other's mood and able to come out of it very fast. See Inkigayo. JK in a grump, Tae arrives smiley. Mismatch. But it's resolved in moments, seconds even, with soft words and Tae drawing on a thing JK loves. That unconscious immediate reconfiguring to find balance is COUPLE 101 to me.

By his own admission, Jimin enjoys winding JK up, amping up the awkward, like a big brother with his little brother. Redressing the balance is not at the forefront of his mind and to me, and this is very much just my thoughts, that's what felt awkward in ep1.

Pov: me explaining how I'm going to do the Friday kiss tag without having a single kiss to ever share

This week, I shall write how I imagine the first kiss between Five and Zero would go. This isn't a part of canon, since I'm writing it specifically for this, but I hope you still enjoy my attempt at writing anything past a hug (I've never written a proper kiss in my life)

Slight warning for a bit of steam under the cut. Nothing too bad, Five's just thirsty

The two sat on Zero's bed, Five leaning against Zero's chest while Zero played with a hand-held puzzle that looked as old as he was. “How old is that puzzle? It looks like it predates the Selim Empire,” Five asked, miming coughing from the non-existent dust. Zero didn't answer for a minute, finishing whatever step he was on before responding. “That's because it does,” He said wryly. “You forget that I built the Selim Empire.” Five grumbled at that, a faint mumbled ‘old man’ among the grumbling. Zero ignored him, continuing to play with the puzzle.

They sat for a few more minutes in comfortable silence before Five started to get agitated. “This is boringggg,” he complained. “We should do something more exciting.” Zero paused what he was doing and looked down at Five, more for Five's benefit than his, since he couldn't truly see. “And what do you suggest we do that's more ‘exciting’?” Zero asked, a hint of amusement in his voice, while Five reached up to take his mask off. Five thought Zero was plenty hot with the mask on, him having the mysterious vibe going on, but without the mask? Five couldn't be trusted.

“Hmmm, I do have an idea,” Five said mischievously, sitting up so he was face to face with Zero. Zero raised an eyebrow, but didn't move away. Instead, he set aside his puzzle. Five sat back on his legs, his hands going to Zero's waist. “I think you should kiss me,” Five said confidently. Zero seemed even more intrigued than before. “And why is this coming about?” Zero asked, leaning in closer to bridge the distance that Five had put between them when he sat back. “Because,” Five said primly. “We've had this thing going on for a few months and you have yet to kiss me. It's rude to leave a guy hanging like that, you know.”

Zero simply shrugged at that. “You never asked,” He said by way of explanation. Five rolled his eyes, not designing that with a response, and instead just closed the gap between them and sealed their lips together. Both of their eyes immediately fell closed. The kiss was nothing special, an experimental peck on the lips, but both of them seemed almost shocked when they pulled back. Zero was the first to school his expression, it turning into a taunting grin. “Is that the best you can do? Weren't you an infamous player?”

Five scowled and took it as a challenge. He surged to meet Zero's lips, immediately more heat behind the kiss. Five's hand went up to grab Zero's jaw, tilting it up to meet his so he could have a better angle. Zero pressed further into Five's space, but the angle was awkward. After a little bit, Five pulled away again. He didn't give Zero time to comment again before he was swinging his leg over Zero's legs and sliding into his lap, now properly above him. Faint blush dusted Zero's face and ears, which Five had the sudden urge to make worse.

Five stared down at Zero, running a thumb over his jaw. Apparently, he sat there just staring for a while, since Zero began to become agitated. “Don't just stare,” Zero said with furrowed brows. Five grinned, taking the demand for the win it was. “Just because you're a bitter blind old man doesn't mean I have to be. I want to be the fun old man, the one who drags your ass out to parties,” Five declared happily, leaning in so that their faces were mere inches apart. Five could feel the slight, uneven breath from Zero dusting his face. Saints the things he would do to this man.

Zero made a noise of discontentment. “Yeah well how about you be the old man who gets moving, hm?” Zero teased, hands going to Five's waist. Five scoffed. “Do I have to do everything around here? Lazy ass,” He complained before swooping down to kiss Zero again. Zero pressed their chests together, getting rid of any molecule of space between them. Five grinned into the kiss, pleased with the outcome of his suggestion. It was infinitely more exciting than that damn puzzle.

long ramble because i just dropped my gf off at the airport and I am a fucking mess with too many thoughts in my brain

over the last couple weeks, i finally met one of my partners—the one ive been with longer than ive been with literally anyone else in my life. despite being together since mid 2016, this was the first time we both had the wherewithal to make a visit happen, and while that may seem like it took way too long, for a lot of reasons that you don't need to know, it couldn't have happened at a more perfect time.

she flew in on the 26th and immediately i knew we would get along just as easily as we had online for years before then. both of us have always talked about how quiet and introverted we are, but it was one of those things where i didn't know if we were going to truly vibe irl until it happened, even if both of us were pretty sure we would.

we always talked abt how the first car ride from the airport was going to be awkward—it's a 3 hour drive from my place to there. both of us are slow to work up to physical affection, but when i picked her up, it wasn't but like ten or twenty minutes into the ride before we were wrapped up in each other. it just clicked. that's so incredibly rare for me with anyone. even partners ive established intimacy with, i usually have to re-warm up to them after time apart. so the fact that we connected so quickly when we first met was so special.

im a pretty boring, solitary person. my favorite activities are ones in which it's quiet and i can do my own thing. this is always a bit scary for me. i don't want to bore anyone just because my brain only ever feels like engaging with what it wants. but that wasn't a problem with her—quite the opposite, actually. we could just sit there and quietly do our own thing in my room, and it felt every bit as special as it would if we went out and did things. there was no pressure for either of us. we settled into each other's patterns instantly. within days, it felt like she'd been living with us all along. i wished that were the case.

distance is hard. it's a lot of counting. how many miles apart you are. how many hours, days it would take to close the gap. how much time will it be before you can be together for real.

and then, when you plan a visit, it becomes about counting down, and that's so exciting. you start counting the months until it's time. before you know it, you're counting the weeks. it's something to look forward to. something to hang on to.

but the moment you meet, the countdown isnt exciting anymore. it gets a lot harder. you might still have weeks to count, but before you know it, weeks become days. days become hours. hours become minutes. minutes become mile markers, and mile markers become exits, exits become streets, streets become steps, and steps become seconds spent holding each other, waiting for the other to pull away because it's the last thing you want to do. but you have to. that's the only way to start the count over. and that sucks. because you dont get to know how long it's going to be until way later. but just the same, you don't know when the next countdown will be the last one. it's the most terrifying assurance there is.

i feel blessed that me, her, and all my partners exist in the same time, in a reality where we have the ability to connect to each other despite how unlikely the chances of us ever meeting were. i feel lucky to live in a world where, one day, a silly string of text like @nudist-squid can be the first name i know someone who will eventually become one of the most important people in my life by.

but at the same time, im heartbroken and devastated. it feels cruel that we met because of certain circumstances, and yet we exist so far away for those same reasons. and closing that gap takes so much from both of us, and there's no promise we can ever close it for good. but if I can help it, I certainly want to try.

this summer has been dogshit. ive been through so much unnecessary bullshit, and when things have been looking to improve, something else happens. but this was the most wonderful bookend to a dismal season i could have asked for.

this one's fun. i think sniper definitely stumbled more with his feelings, even though for all intents and purposes he was the more confident of the two... when fossey realized her feelings she was pretty resigned to the idea that she wasnt very desirable or at the very least Not His Type, so he didnt really make any moves until she actually had reason to think he might like them back. if not for sniper returning those feelings the crush wouldve probably gone away honestly!

but sniper... though i doubt he was ever too inexperienced with romance/fossey certainly isnt his First love, i think the fact that his feelings kinda snuck up on him is what ended up getting him. usually when he finds himself having those kinds of feelings for someone, its someone hes going to kill [and then probably later be killed By, rinse, respawn, repeat], so hes able to repress it more because they're also an Opponent. but fossey is very much Not a mercenary, in fact he bruises like a peach and he walks around in fucking penny loafers, so hes really quite the opposite of who sniper usually finds... shall we say, chemistry with. because of this, he doesnt really know how to act around them, and as a result in those early days of his crush pre-relationship he probably tried to avoid them more than anything because he didnt wanna make a fool of himself [which, in the sparse interactions they Did have, he was often sure he did (even when it was something almost impossible to notice. like holding the "o" on "good morning" slightly longer than usual)].

fossey noticed the change in behavior but, seeing as they didnt think of themself as ever having a chance in the first place, they didnt register it as "oh hes being awkward because he likes me" and saw it more as "he doesnt wanna see me". they went to apologize after a couple of weeks of this, since they thought theyd Done something, and that was kinda when sniper realized he was being even more stupid by being avoidant and started just. trying to play it cool. basically it was this image [sniper pov]

🐕- Do they have any pets together? If one of them had a pet from before their relationship how well does the pet get along with their partner? Do they have the pets approval or does said pet sit in between them and their partner any time they try to make a move?

considering their living situations [sniper lives out of his camper + fossey has a little apartment for herself], i dont think they have any pets Together, but both of them do love animals very much. i can absolutely see sniper as having some old family dog back home who is miraculously still very alert despite being like 17. idk why thats just the vibes... unsure if he would ever meet fossey but i think it would be quite funny

i dont think fossey would have a pet [they worry about not being responsible enough due to mental health struggles + being so busy with work], but he loooves cats very much... i really like the idea of him feeding any strays that might hang around teufort and theres probably some near the base that have kinda become regulars + they all really like fossey... at first sniper thinks its a bit stupid [hes more of a dog person + hes sure that soldiers raccoons would have Opinions on the matter, plus maybe the cats arent the biggest fan of him] but he sees fossey petting one of the strays one day and hes just like Fuck. i get it now.......

Answering a bunch of random OTP prompts for the Jeoffs because I can’t sleep:

What is each member’s love language?: Geoff tends to give words of affirmation and enjoys getting quality time (just being with someone is enough for him, no matter what they’re doing) while Jeff gives acts of service and loves getting physical affection (hence why Geoff is always holding his hand/hanging off his arm - though let’s be real here, they BOTH love stuff like hugs/cuddling)

What would they describe as their perfect date?: these guys like to keep it simple. A nice dinner and dancing is all they need, though they enjoy exploring new restaurants and clubs/dance halls - and every once in a while they throw in something like a pre-meal hike, a movie/show or some spicy time afterwards.

Who made the first move? While I feel like Geoff initiated their first meeting/friendship, it was definitely Jeff who made the first move (and was totally a bit nervous doing so, as I feel like while they both had a decent amount of experience w/dating while alive, they only ever felt head over heels completely In Love with each other).

Who is more sentimental? BOTH, and I will not having any arguments otherwise, lol. Jeff keeps all the homemade gifts and cards that Geoff has given him over the years for various holidays and death days while Geoff has a whole scrapbook of photos they’ve taken together and love letters that Jeff sent him before cellphones became a thing in the Ghost Realm. I also feel like Geoff keeps random little things and trinkets that remind him of Jeff.

Who falls asleep first/Who wakes up first?: Geoff for both, though he doesn’t mind staying up late. He just tends to relax a lot more easily than Jeff does. Additionally, I could see them both struggling to stay in bed once they’re wide awake as they’re both pretty active ghosts, but Jeff is more likely to sleep in (especially if he’s craving cuddle time w/ Geoff)

Who worries more? Okay, I know it’s easy to characterize Geoff as the carefree one but I feel like he lowkey has his own anxieties and quietly worries about the smaller things, like if his partner is feeling okay/happy. He just hates the idea of someone he loves hurting without him knowing about it, and is definitely the hovering type whenever Jeff or someone else he loves is sick/recovering. Jeff, meanwhile, tends to worry about the big things and the bigger threats, fully understanding that he’s just one ghost and can’t protect him and his partner from everything.

What are some non-sexual activities they do together? Dancing (duh), karaoke, board/card game nights, bowling, hiking and exploring the living realm (shoutout to @toondandy for that one, absolutely love this headcanon ^v^) and watching theatre shows/musicals.

(Regarding the last one, I imagine they occasionally run into Ghost!Abe Lincoln and his wife at the Ghost Theatre too - since (After)Life of the Party hinted at the Jeoffs being friends or at least acquaintances w/ Lincoln - and while they enjoy each other’s company, it’s always just a biiiiit awkward given how Lincoln died, and both of them lowkey worry about accidentally bringing it up and offending him, asdfghjkl)

Who is the better cook?: Jeff, though that’s not to say that Geoff is awful at it. Jeff just knows more recipes and cooking techniques while Geoff sticks to more simple (but still yummy) recipes/techniques. Geoff’s food will keep you full/satisfied, but Jeff’s food will knock your socks off if he feels like showing off (which he usually does, lol)

What are some things they don’t agree on? You mean besides Scratch? Asdfghjkl, I kid but- with how often Geoff gives others the benefit of the doubt/easily forgives them/sees the best in them and Jeff’s willingness to actually get angry/annoyed with others and hold (albeit temporary) grudges, they definitely disagree with how to handle things whenever they’re in conflict with ANYONE in their shared social circle. I also just get the vibe that they had a few disagreements on dividing up the household chores when they moved in together - no major fights, but it was an adjustment period as they tried to figure out how to split things fairly without either feeling like they were doing too much or too little. Also I just feel like they both definitely have different tastes when it comes to TV, lol

Which member is more physically affectionate/Which member is more verbally affectionate? They both do both a ton but Geoff does slightly more of the physical stuff (because he knows Jeff loves it) while Jeff does slightly more of the verbal stuff (because Geoff is always giving others words of love/encouragement and he wants to make sure that Geoff gets some too)

Which member steals/borrows the other ones clothing? In a scenario where they actually wear clothes- GEOFF. 100% Geoff. Just has a whole pile full of Jeff’s jackets, bathrobes and sweatshirts, lol. It’s like the one thing he lets himself be selfish about just cause he loves wearing things that remind him of/feel like/smell like Jeff - and while Jeff typically lets him get away with this, whenever he feels like pointing it out and teasing Geoff about it, Geoff absolutely pulls out the cheeky “I don’t know what you mean” line.

Are they an introverted couple or an extroverted one: 90% of the time they love going out and can enjoy things like clubs/dance halls/parties and socializing w/ others. But every once in a while, they want it to be just the two of them at home, feeling like the only two ghosts in the world ^v^

Who is the big/little spoon?: Even if they start out w/ Geoff being the big spoon (like if they fall asleep with J’s head on G’s shoulder/chest), it almost always reverses by the end of the night, even if the two of them are fast asleep the switching happens subconsciously. Jeff is just a natural Big Spoon (not that Geoff minds)

Who is more likely to make an impulsive decision and who is the voice of reason? Lol, Geoff’s the impulsive one (in both big and small ways) while Jeff only acts impulsively when he’s running on adrenaline, otherwise he tries to get Geoff to think things through with his brain as well as his heart, not JUST his heart.

Who’s more likely to laugh at their own jokes? Jeffffff. The guy brags about being a ‘classically trained’ dancer, he def gives me ‘laugh at his own jokes’ vibes:

Who takes longer showers? Geoff. He loves how the water feels and gets lost in Shower Thoughts.

Who is more likely to get jealous? Whoo boy… Jeff is sliiiightly more likely just cause he knows how easily Geoff gives away his love and worries about Geoff one day finding someone he loves more, but I feel like in certain situations - like if he suddenly worries he’s not good enough for his “awesome and amazing” partner - Geoff can also sometimes feel a bit jealous.

(I actually have this scenario in my head where, at another McGee Sart Duan Sib party, Jeff and Pete start bonding over dancing and even share a few dances/dance battles together - and while Geoff isn’t worried about anything happening between the two of them specifically, he does start to wonder if Jeff would prefer another pro dancer as a partner instead of someone like him, who likes dancing a lot but isn’t nearly as skilled at it. They work it out in the end though)

What was the most surprising thing they learned about one another once they started dating? Jeff was definitely surprised the first time he saw Geoff go into Scary Mode/show how tough he can truly be. He 100% goes Shocked Pikachu the first time Geoff gets legit angry/scares someone off and realizes his beloved isn’t just a pure cinnamon roll. Geoff, meanwhile, was just so surprised (and impressed) by how secretly talented Jeff was at dancing/singing (since I feel like for as much as Jeff WANTED to be a performer when he was alive, he for whatever reason couldn’t/wasn’t allowed to, hence why he indulges in that side of him so much as a ghost)

Which member is more likely to accidentally spend $300 at Target? Geofffffff. It’s not a full-on problem or anything, but I could see him needing to have a list with him to avoid impulse buys while shopping (and even then it’s not a foolproof solution)

Who fell in love first? Geoff liked Jeff as a potential friend from the start, but Jeff was the first to catch romantic feelings. Once Jeff started hinting at this, however, it didn’t take Geoff very long at all to feel the same.

Sorry it took me a bit to get to this one!! Such an interesting pair and honestly I don’t talk about the two of them together nearly as much as I’d like so Ty for the chance to anon lmao

- first some background: their first meeting was a little awkward because Maya was a HUGE off the hook fan when she came to inkopolis (and tbh still is). From the first splatfest she participated in she immediately fell in love with Pearl and Marina’s music so her first time meeting them was mostly her staring at them from behind Marie trying not to explode into fangirl mode, and Marina awkwardly waving at her everytime they made eye contact because she didn’t know what to say + this was hardly a day after octo expansion so girl was TIRED.

- due to Marie’s friendship with OTH though, overtime the more Maya was around them the more she warmed up to them in a more casual way, and eventually they both basically became her cool aunt figures lol. But since this is about Marina and Maya were focusing on the Marina part with that

- Marina’s pretty good at sewing and 80% of the gifts Maya gets from her are different sewed together or crocheted plushies or the occasional blanket. Maya adores them all and bounces around everytime Marina gives one to her

- they’re both autistic with pretty similar sensory needs which they bond over lol. Sometimes when Maya’s over at OTH’s place and is overstimulated they’ll go sit in one of the sound proof recording studios together and bring a bunch of blankets and pillows in with them and just vibe with their own pair of headphones doing their own thing. Pearl will go to check in on them and make sure they’re not bored + are okay and they’ll both just be like “this is the best experience I’ve had all day”

- I am cringe but I am free you gotta embrace that for this one OKAY LISTEN TO ME JUST LISTEN Maya and Marina are both furries Maya’s got a sheep fursona Marina’s is a wolf, and Marina helped Maya make her first ever fursuit and in return Maya made her so many drawings of their fursonas hanging out and Marina has them all pinned onto the wall of their main recording studio.

- Maya infodumped about fnaf to Marina one time and ofc she was already genuinely interested she loves her niece and her interests, but she only like “sat up super invested” when Maya started going into how the animatronic mechanisms worked. Pearl and Lucky had to stop Marina from building a spring lock suit that day because she WOULDVE.

- on a similar note sometimes Marina will go on long infodumps to Maya about machinery and Maya genuinely enjoys listening to them. Sometimes when she gets home from hanging out with her she’ll recreate what Marina was talking about in Minecraft, then bring her laptop the next day to show her and ask how accurate it is (Marina LOVES it everytime)

- last one cus I’ve gone on long enough on accident lol; second best to Marie, Marina’s the best at getting Maya to go back to sleep after waking up from a nightmare. Maya spends a good chunk of time at OTH’s place since they’re the first Marie goes to for watching over Maya when both she and Callie are away for long periods of time for work, so they’ve had experience with dealing with her having nightmares in that time ofc. Maya used to feel reaallyyy bad about it bc it’s one thing to wake her close family up from it, another to wake her kinda family figures up who she’s just a guest at their house to atm from it, but they don’t mind and usually Marina is the one who gets up from it to sit with Maya and talk her through it or sing her songs until she’s able to sleep again. (She has the experience of doing it through Lucky also having a lot of nightmares.)

UNEXPECTED FRIENDS

Unexpected friends have a way of coming into your life when you least expect it. Leaving my old friendships was the best decision I could’ve made, as I was exhausted from the toxic energy and negativity that drained me every day. At first, being on my own felt a bit strange, but over time I started to appreciate the peace and freedom it brought. It wasn’t that I disliked people I just needed some space to clear my mind and stop overthinking. To stay productive and keep boredom away I began jogging alone every evening after class around 6:30 to 7 PM. It quickly became more than just exercise; it became my escape, making me feel lighter and more in control. One day I shared a post about my jog on my story and Misha, a classmate, responded. She said to let her know if I ever wanted company since she noticed I was always by myself. Her message surprised me, reminding me that just because I was fine being alone did not mean people didn’t care. I decided to take her up on her offer one day after class, and though it felt a little awkward at first since I had never really hung out with her or the others outside of class, it quickly turned into a fun experience. We jogged, laughed, and even visited the night market afterward, which was actually my first time going since I joined the college. From that day on, I started spending more time with Misha and her group. I got to know them better and felt a sense of belonging I hadn’t expected. I grew close to her friends Haikal, Nureen, Aleya, and Afrina, and I even met someone new named Sasa, who is from another section. Hanging out with them became something I truly looked forward to. We would go out, share stories, and enjoy life together, free from the heaviness I used to feel with my old circle.While I still enjoy having time to myself, being around them reminds me that at the end of the day, it is on you to choose your vibe and surround yourself with people who make you feel comfortable and at peace.

Been re-watching Wayside all day, which has inevitably led me back to being stupid over Todd and Louis, so here's some random stuff I created 🙏

Starting off with this silly little mood board :> It's basically a right of passage for all my ships to have one, so of course they needed one. It's simple, not much to say. I had fun making it!

Another mood board!! But this one is going for a more 'date night' vibe :D Louis gives off big 2000s older brother vibes (to me at least) and I just couldn't see him taking Todd to some fancy restaurant for a date. Instead, it seemed more his speed to get some snacks and slushies at the gas station then just driving around town doing silly shit like going to the arcade and hanging out at the park. Of course ending the night back at his place with more snacks and video games/movies. I think that would be just so much more romantic and fun than a sit down dinner ˙˚ʚ(´◡`)ɞ˚˙

One of the edits I made today (≧∇≦)/ Specifically I used Todd falls in Love and The Elevator. I really enjoy TFIL, mostly cause I like imaging Todd falling in love with Louis, not Ms. Jewels. 🤭 Louis seems like the kind of guy that a lot of students at Wayside have a crush on, and he politely pretends not to notice to avoid awkwardness. Of course with Todd, he probably doesn't even realize the boy is crushing on him till it's spelled out for him, since it's not a 'Todd' thing to do lmao. The edit isn't anything special, I just wanted Todd to be staring lovingly at Louis and fullfil my funny little idea ≧﹏≦

Ok this one took quite a bit of time for obvious reasons. But I'm super pleased with how it came out! Anyways, Maurecia has always made me think of Sarah from TAWOG, and honestly I could totally see her being a Fujoshi. I once had a thought "What if instead of shipping herself with Todd, she shipped Todd and Louis" and it's been stuck in my head ever since.

So a bit of a lore drop, back in middle school I was SUPER obsessed with Billdip. It wasn't my first yaoi ship but it was the first one I became infatuated with. It was my lock screen and background. I talked about with all my friends. I was constantly reading it in class and making gacha life videos with them. It was bad. So that's the kind of girl I see Maurecia being. She has no subtly liking Todd and would have none whatsoever over them. She would always be drawing them, getting excited when they interact, pretty much just being the like the edit. Every episode where she's pining over Todd is instead being about her loosing it over Todd and Louis. Lots of funny scenario for Todd to be embarrassed and proclaim he doesn't like Louis (totally does) and Louis being totally unaware (or better, aware and not knowing how to react at being shipped with a student ͡≖ ل͜ ͡≖) UGH this makes so stupid. I'm currently kicking my feet back and forth. Need to write this.

Of course, having Maurecia be in love with Todd and getting possessive over him when Louis comes near (either because of a misunderstanding or Todd genuinely having a crush on him) is great too. For this one I don't really see Louis reciprocating because him just having to explain to Maurecia that no, he doesn't want Todd is super funny. Plus her not believeing him. Or just him being super confused as to the sudden hostility from her. 😮‍💨

And these are all the random stuff I made plus my thoughts. Feels good to write them out 🙏 definitely hoping to commission something for them soon, I need fan art of them 😔
