hey so does it kinda depress anyone else that the thesis of the ash miniseries seems to be “everything is gonna be exactly the same for these characters for pretty much forever” or is that just me
#like looking at the team rocket trio alone its just kinda….. weirdly bleak for them#when the news that ash would be leaving came out i think everyone naturally assumed theyd be parting ways too#bc like… yknow. to get their happy ending they have to stop trying to capture pikachu#but here theyre like. ‘’nah they just do the exact same plans and the exact same breakups forever now’’#and thats just the TRio (characters ive grown to dislike on this rewatch)#how do you think i feel abt ash himself…. ok ill try to save these thoughts for after the miniseries is done#bc this is all super relevant to the last episode#but idk the ‘’pikachu and ash get separated and meowth tries to manipulate pikachu’’ plotline being redone again was probably a red flag in#in hindsight
