The Naderi Throne (تخت نادری)
Currently housed in the Treasury of National Jewels in Tehran, this opulent seat is one of three historical thrones in the Iranian capital, having been used during the 1967 coronation ceremony. Its design harks back to the ancient style of royal seat used by figures like Darius, the founder of the Persian empire, over 2500 years ago. Though its name may suggest a connection to Nadir Shah, enameled plaques and historical paintings rather attribute it to Fath Ali Shah. Standing at an approximate height of 2.25 meters and measuring 95 cm in both width and depth, the throne is a meticulously crafted piece. Made primarily of wood, it is overlaid with gold and adorned with an array of precious gems, featuring a 42-cm diameter circle of spinels, cabochon-cut rubies, and several blue sapphires. The design is further enriched by strategically placed diamonds, ranging from 10 to 25 carats. Remarkably, the throne can be disassembled into twelve sections to facilitate its transport.
The throne’s aesthetic features encompass a high, ornate back that rises to form a plumed finial, bearing jeweled “suns” on its shoulders. The lower section of the back panel and the sides of the throne are adorned with S-shaped composite beasts and parrots. Couchant lions in relief embellish the panels of the step or footrest. The term “nadir,” meaning “rare, wonderful, marvelous,” may originally have been used descriptively, leading to its subsequent association with Nadir Shah. Further modifications to the throne, such as the addition of ruby-red translucent enamel, may have occurred during the reign of Nasir ud-Din Shah. This throne remains a striking representation of the craftsmanship and artistry of its time.

It’s like having two dogs
Neuvillette smells Foul legacy
Foul legacy smells Neuvillette
Imagine if Neuvillette goes to visit and it’s on one of those days that Foul legacy is tending to melusine y/n
little Melusine with their Abyssal monster and Hydro Sovereign protectors hehehehehee
almost IMMEDIATELY Foul Legacy's mane of ginger hair ruffles and puffs up, crystalline eye locking with Neuvillette's. the Iudex stops in his tracks, the slim azure antennae hidden amongst his hair shivering as a low, almost inaudible growl rises from his throat. Legacy matches it, and for a moment they just glare at each other while you look back and forth between them, shaking your head in exasperation. you slip off of Legacy's lap and skip cheerfully over to Neuvillette, taking his hand in your mitten and gently tugging, tugging until he stands before Foul Legacy and stares down at him with suspicion and wariness. instinctively he attempts to push you behind him, but you evade his arm and happily curl up in Legacy's lap again, and Neuvillette can only blink before slowly sitting down in front of you
the dragon and the monster regard each other silently- they're supposed to be mortal enemies, after all. eventually Foul Legacy's wings lower, slowly, neatly folding against his back. he gives Neuvillette a tentative chirp, and you smile up at him, colorful little tail waving in the air. the Iudex sighs, giving you a small smile in return and leaning in, quietly asking you to tell the story of how you met this... armored, glittering beast. your bloopy antennae twitch in delight as you sit up, leaning back against Legacy's chest with his arm around you, and both of them listen to you regale them with a long, thrilling tale- minus the parts where you got stabbed, of course

I've been making the transition these past few months, but I think I'm gonna just move back to Tumblr. My Twitter's follower-base has reached a point where I can't tweet anything casually opinion-related without it overflowing like a toilet. I post a short thread on my gripes with color design in anime and I'm getting QRT'd with "kill this guy with hammers" reaction gifs. Like, damn, this isn't fun anymore. It's not fun to talk about stuff on Twitter in general anymore. I wanted to post some ship dynamic doodles sometime there, but I know I'm gonna get weirdly aggressive takes and reactions. Monkey's paw curls, but I don't particularly like having that many followers.

Was watching a YouTube video about the theory that Mihawk was initially the first mate of the red hair pirates, called “The greatest Mihawk Theory Ever Made” by the Hidden Island.
And it’s a great video and a pretty solid theory with fun evidence. But what’s pertinent here is that the creator suggests his own take on how Shanks and Mihawk’s story could be resolved or explored more and that’s by having Shanks win Mihawk in a straw hat, red hair pirates, cross guild wide Davy Back fight. and hit him with a “Good to have you back Hawkeyes”
Ahhhhrectruuundwdgb
I can’t tell you how unwell this scenario makes me I think about it once a day and I might die if I never get to see this but will actually die if it does happen.

Rendering practice. Cooler shades just happens to be easier for me to work with, that and I figured out how to do it in black and white first then play with layer filters.
This really allowed me to focus on shades rather than color, so getting in those extra details that I would've missed is refreshing.
Leif was also a good subject since I was already in the mood to draw bugs, he has a nice mixture of textures.
Progress GIF's undercut.
