it sounds like the... excitement... around that post of yours is just weighing negatively on you at this point. i'd like to suggest completely divorcing yourself from it - turn off notifications for that post, maybe delete the original (if that does anything?) and if necessary block it so you don't see it again. just do whatever you can so you won't be reminded of it. then you can just ignore all asks about it and not worry about it again! if you read an asks and it's an annoying person again, delete it and say nothing, leave the person wondering about it! essentially, i suggest trying to pretend the post is completely forgotten until that becomes true. of course, these are merely suggestions! feel free to ignore me as well. the annoying people will go away eventually.

Public nightmare. Going out with her is so humiliating but unlike Jinx it's not because she's weird it's because she's a FUCKING BITCH!!!!!! She's so incredibly full of herself. Walks the streets like she owns the place and will randomly get in fights just so she can win and impress you. Like it'll be some poor guy just minding his own business and she'll walk by and shove his face into the wall while staring at u intensely... it's actually really scary. She is a customer service workers #1 fear, the second you two walk into a store or a restaurant suddenly everyone's on lunchbreak. Never tips. One mean mug from her could make a gay starbucks barista cry.

Constantly grumbling about something. Loves to complain about EVERYTHINGGGG. The line at the bar, the weather, her shoulder pain, it never ends. Sometimes you can't tell if she's actually upset or just grumpy for fun. "Why is this drink so weak? It might as well be water." Ok then why did you CHUG THE WHOLE THING AND ORDER 2 MORE???

Randomly puts stuff on high shelves just to mess with you. This lady is huge so if she knows you can’t reach something, she’ll put it on a higher shelf on purpose just to watch you struggle. This stems from 2 things. 1. Her being a bitch that loves to mess with you and make you mad because she thinks it's funny, and 2. her constant need to be the one to "save" you.

Loves being your dyke in shining armor LMAOOO. Like I said she likes being needed in a sense. If you have a problem or need something done and she isn't the first person you ask for help she'll genuinely get offended. Like how dare you not immediately come to her for help knowing she's always down to help you (when she feels like it)

Always wins arguments (not because she's right). Sevika never loses an argument. She’s too good at staying calm and turning things around on you, even when she’s clearly wrong. The way she knowingly and shamelessly gaslights you just makes you let it go in the end. "I can't understand you when you're being this emotional." while she has this shit eating grin on her face oh my god.

Has a short temper... She holds the world record for most pet peeves ever. Dumb questions, pointing out the obvious, snoring, just to name a few. I said this in my red flags post but genuinely dumb questions will PISS HER OFF SO BAD... Asking her "Are you awake?" when she literally got into bed 2 minutes ago and her eyes are OPEN. Walking in like "You home?" when literally WHO ELSE WOULD BE THERE??? She'd rather just kick you out honestly.

komori could not wait to any longer to walk through the door to your shared apartment. practice today had been especially rough and he wanted nothing more than to sleep with you in his arms. he groaned as he walked closer to the door, fumbling with the keys slightly then turning the handle, hoping you'd be there at the door to greet him.

sure enough, as he opened the door wider, you were there, wide grin on your face, hair slightly wet from the shower you took around 15 minutes ago, in an old shirt of his, your shorts hidden because it was too big for you. "welcome home toya." you sang with a smile. "hi, angel." he smiled right back at you, engulfing you in his arms

immediately you wrapped your arms around him tightly, breathing in his cologne, "'m so tired," you heard him mumble, muffled from his face being burried in the crook of your neck. "we can lay down if you'd like?" you ask softly, rubbing his back comfortingly he muttered another muffled "mhm" before you led him to your shared bedroom

after getting situated into a position your boyfriend was satisfied with the two of you talked about your day, he told you all they did at practice that evening and in turn you told him all about what happened at work that afternoon.

"i missed you so much today, you don't even understand." he mumbled groggily through a yawn, nuzzling you closer, "i missed you too toya, please get some sleep, you worked so hard today."

MATSUKAWA ISSEI.

idk what happens to this man when he gets sleepy but he will talk on and on and on. it's like a switch in his brain flips and he just doesn't function right. alexa, what is personal space? is lowkey grumpy too tbh.

you could tell your boyfriend was getting sleepy when he insisted on holding your hand while you walked to the kitchen which was like 5ft away and wouldn't let go even after the two of you got back to the couch.

"issei, you have to let go of my hand at some point." you were giggling but when you looked over at him he looked almost angry. he snatched his hand away from yours, grumbling, "fine i really didn't wanna hold your nasty hand anyway." furrowing his eyebrows and a deepening the frown on his face.

you couldn't help but laugh internally over how moody he was. luckily, you knew how to lure him out of his grumpy attitude. "issei, baby, are you sleepy?" you ask softly, bringing your hand up to his cheek, lightly rubbing your thumb over his cheek. he basically melted into your touch, answering with a whiny "mhm" and a nod to his head.

"would you like to go to bed then?" you asked, honestly you knew he was gonna say no, he hated going to bed early. and of course he shook his head no, "no, 'm not that tired yet, 'ts only 9" he slurred, closing his eyes to your touch. "but issei, you look really tired, you just said you were sleepy.", "yeah sleepy not tired" he grumbled, crossing his arms over his chest

"okay then, would you like to watch a film then? there's some new options on-",

"yes please"

"okay then, what do you wanna-"

"anything you wanna pick angel." you nod and pick a movie, "i'll be back i'm gonna get us a blanket, stay put."

"no! i'm coming with you, let me have your hand!"

he fell asleep three minutes into the movie when you started playing with his hair

OIKAWA TORU.

will be clingy but not talkative at all, at least not as talkative as he usually is. suspiciously quiet. sometimes will be pouty but not always, just wants to sleep but pls give him alot of kisses.

Oikawa ran a tired hand through his hair, which was still damp from his shower he took after practice, walking up the stairs to your shared apartment. "im home." he groaned, walking through the door, only to be met with your arms wrapped securely around his waist, "hi, toru," you mumble looking up at him.

"hello beautiful, how was your day, hm?" he asked taking his shoes off, you answered, still hooked around him. "practice?" you asked, "it was alright." he responded, walking you both over to the couch, which was conveniently nearby.

he layed on his back whilst you rested on top of him, head on his shoulder pecking his jaw and cheek with feather light kisses. "hows your knee?" it was basically routine for you to ask at this point. "same as usual" he shrugged, wrapping his arms around your middle.

you hummed in response, resting your head back on his shoulder and closing your eyes, "'m so tired toru, can we just sleep here?" you opened your eyes when you didn't here a response, he was already fast asleep.

"g'night toru, i love you" you hum, placing a kiss right on his lips, before laying your head back down.

a/n: im writing as im currently recovering from my wisdom teeth removal 😪😪 so kinda (basically) v self-indulgent

this is all based on my own experience. i’m healing pretty fast i think and there hasn’t been any problems for me so i wouldn’t know, personally, cases where people get heavy nausea, dry sockets, etc etc

IWAIZUMI

#! follows every direction the surgeon gave to the dot

#! before the surgery, he was given some papers and it was covered with post-surgery aftercare instructions and he read everything over multiple times

#! doesn’t let you do anything for days even though you were capable of doing things yourself by the third day

#! he already drinks smoothies a lot on a regular basis besides his protein shakes and all that so being his s/o, you also get to drink them every other day

#! understands your pain, makes sure you’re taking all of your required medications on time (he sets up alarms and timers) and giving you any doses of pain relievers as needed

Ah, Wynn.

I found a post earlier today about the treatment of female characters in the canon of one of my fandoms (Boku no Hero Academia) and threw it at Mary. Here: http://fireflysummers.tumblr.com/post/164048636306/im-still-upset-about-momo

And we started discussing all the way so much of these complaints DON’T apply to Wynn.

Particularly the main point: Wynn isn’t there to be pretty.

Is she? Sure. But that’s not the point of her.

Wynn is there to be angry. To get in fights. To struggle with the morality of killing evil people. To accept new people into her heart. To feel the pain of people she’s lost in the past. To try to save the world. To stick her nose into things because SOMEONE needs to, and she’s there and has a sharp blade and lots of magic.

Wynn gets to have silly moments. Painful moments. Frustrating moments. Joyful moments. Loving moments. Even lewd moments.

Being pretty is just a tiny footnote in her story -- not the main reason she’s in the story at all.

And she doesn’t have a boob window. (Her outfit is based on Edward Elric from Fullmetal Alchemist.)

Spoilers below, because I want to keep talking about her story but well. Spoilers. HEAVY spoilers.

One of the things we struggle with, with Wynn, is how much suffering to put her though. Because I don’t want to be the one putting female characters through shit all the time for the growth of male characters. I mean, sometimes. I’m not going to veto an entire plot device just ‘cause it’s overdone and in sexist ways. But I will be more cautious with it.

So. We try to come up with more things to put Rythian through. It’s always fun making Rythian suffer.

But we keep coming back and adding more things to Wynn’s pile, too. It feels unbalanced. Especially with certain spots where she gets off worse than him even when they go into the same situations. I’m thinking particularly of the Dragon fight here, where Wynn will get seriously injured, and Rythian will save the day. I didn’t decide that, Mary did. And frankly, isn’t it more sexist for a man to talk over what a real woman wants to do with her character’s story than to abuse a fictional female character?

Also, we put Wynn through things Rythian isn’t even there for, with no counter balance for him. This time I’m thinking of Wynn’s fight against the Guardian. Which she chooses to have, and she chooses to hide from Rythian. But again this differs from typical media cases. Wynn chooses this fight for personal reasons. Any characterization Rythian gets through this is secondary to how meaningful the moment is for Wynn. And unlike the Dragon fight, Rythian doesn’t end the fight after Wynn is down. Wynn defeats her opponent. Rythian only comes in afterward to cart her to the hospital. Her fight was won on her own.

And, in the second half of the story, post Dragon fight. Lalnable’s... let’s just call it bullshit. Lalnable’s bullshit. He kidnaps Wynn and Rythian goes to save her... only to find she’s mostly saved herself. And Lalnable is a bit scared of her now.

Over and over Wynn’s story demonstrates that while she does have weaknesses, and sometimes she fails... She’s a very tough person. “Full of piss and vinegar” as it were.

Turning to the side for a bit, I still hope I can half capture the feelings in my head about Wynn’s fight against the lich. Because it’s SUCH an important moment for Wynn’s character.

Because Wynn’s life so far has been about killing. Demons, evil mages, monsters, witches... Anything deemed too dangerous had to be dealt with. Especially if it dealt with magics that the guardian stuck in her head considered unnatural. Which isn’t an arbitrary distinction, for the record. The guardian’s magic has a certain... frequency to it. Like in DnD there’s positive and negative energy, which are opposites, there are magics that run counter to the guardians “natural (plant-like)” magics. Demonic energy and ender magic being two of the big ones. It just so happened that demons and ender mages both tended to be nasty and dangerous anyway, so mostly it worked out for Wynn.

But there were hard times. When she had to kill someone who seemed reasonable. Maybe they could have been talked down. Maybe they could have stopped. Or worse, ones she’d known. People she might have been friends with, been raised with, who’d turned to dark magics and she had to kill them.

Wynn is a character who carries her regrets like a backpack. They don’t weight her down much, but they’re constantly there hovering over her shoulder.

Trevor was easy to spare, even if he’s leaking a fine wisp of demon energy like candle smoke. It makes the guardian grumpy, but he’s so obviously harmless. Well, harmless as a demon. Certainly not as a scientist. But that doesn’t really come up ‘til Wynn has known him as an individual and knows he’s not going to be going out and terrorizing the countryside.

But the lich. Wynn knows the lich. Wynn recognizes who she used to be, in life. Not only a friend, but a former lover (it’s possible I may have been asking myself “what counts as killing a lesbian?” for a while now...). The lich is evil. The guardian hates the magical aura of the lich. The lich has something Wynn needs to continue her quest. But. Wynn can’t do it. She can’t kill this person she knew. This person she loved, once. This person who’s not currently a threat to anyone outside the grounds of her castle.

The lich is the turning point, where Wynn starts to say, I’m not the judge. I can’t decide people’s fates. Unless someone is an active and current threat, I don’t want to kill them.

Wynn’s choice in this fight is why she can so easily not kill Rythian, later. Even if ender mages are nearly all evil or mad, and her guardian wants him dead. He’s creepy, but honestly not actually that *threatening* and Wynn refuses. Wynn takes a second step away from her former life.

But the first step was having a lich at her mercy. On its back. Looking deep into its eyesockets and saying. No. No, I don’t want to do this. I won’t do this.

This is also the turning point for her rejecting the guardian.

In the post I linked, the OP asked “Do any of the female characters struggle with physical and emotional abuse [...]?” and my only comment to Mary about that was: The guardian. Nuff said.

So, to expand on that.

The guardian is a magical entity that accidentally got stuck in Wynn’s head when she was trying to do a magical ritual and she botched it a bit. It’s powerful, and grants her use of that power, but it’s also very, very opinionated. If you play fantasy tabletop RPGs, think “asshole paladin”. It’s here to SMITE EVIL, and it’s perfectly willing to use Wynn as its sword.

It goads Wynn (who naturally has a temper anyway) into fights she might otherwise avoid. It pushes her to kill anything that pings as “wrong” and “unnatural” to its senses, which are tuned to a different world with different magical balances than Wynn’s. She even has to be careful how she thinks, as it lives inside her head.

Quoted from the fic:  The guardian was starting to make grumbling noises at her, and she pulled away from those thoughts. She knew what it would tell her if she was uncertain. If she questioned the right course of action.

At the start of the fic she even has a headache from the pressure of its intent as it directs her towards demonic energy it wants her to eliminate, and it screamed at her if it felt she was getting too distracted for even a moment while she investigated the location the energy was coming from.

It doesn’t really fit what most people would think of as an abusive relationship, but it’s clearly a deeply unhealthy situation that’s immensely stressful for Wynn to live with for the years she’s had to put up with it.

And after the lich, after Rythian, she just can’t any more. She’s reached her breaking point and when she breaks her edges are sharp and ready to cut the guardian to ribbons.

So when she’s ready to take on the dragon and save the world, she’s magically weaker, but her power is all hers. She falls in the fight, but she stood on her own. Her allies beside her, backing her up, not trying to puppet her from inside.
