tbh it's probably not anything noteworthy, but i'm kinda fascinated by Hibiki and Yumeko's friendship in the beginning of the series
they're mentioned constantly as always hanging out (even before D took on Hibiki's persona), but we're never told how they met or why they even hang out with each other in the first place
did Yumeko think she could get closer to Sesera through Hibiki in a plan to kill her?
or is it one of those friendships where Hibiki was nice to her so Yumeko just latched on? or the other way around where Hibiki came into her life and never left?
did they notice the other had reservations about the rangers and thought they could recruit each other for their own individual goals?
idk but i honestly don't like how it's set up that they might be friends, only for the two to barely acknowledge the other's existence once Hibiki goes into hiding
#well yumeko mentions being lonely during the exam arc but that's about it on her part then she zeroes in on D#but hibiki like.....never talks about her at all#super reads loser ranger

I'll never write it, but it's been on my mind for years and Ive seen a few posts talking about how everyone and their mothers have had a crush on Lucy at some point so -- here! My '"I Love Lucy" Club' fic-idea
Cana started the club on accident when she and Gray were talking and they both mentioned their respective crushes on the blonde.
She laughed and said they should start a club when they noticed how Natsu seemed to hang off the girl and the way Erza would blush when Lucy complimented her
It didn't actually become a club until Loke became Lucy's spirit and told Gray the other spirits fascination with the girl
The first meeting involved Cana, Gray, Erza, Loke, Virgo, Taurus (tho he was never invited to another session), Levy, and (surprisingly, but maybe not) Happy
Happy and Levy realized VERY quickly that they were the only ones in the group to not have an actual crush on the blonde, though their love for her allowed them to stay in the club
Natsu was NOT invited, because he'd blab the whole thing to Lucy unprompted
Hibiki came to a few meetings after the whole Nirvana incident
It was a shock to all the members when people Lucy fought started coming to the meetings as well
First was Mary of the Legion Platoon; Dan trailing behind with hearts in his eyes
Dan just gushed about his beloved "Lulu Pie" and how they'd get married someday
Happy laughed and wished him good luck
Flare, after the GMG's, was spotted in the distance a few times, nodding along whenever she agreed with someone about "Blondie"
She fully joined after the sun-village arc
Gray actually slowly left the group after Juvia joined the guild. He said that he'll always love Lucy like a sister, but he realized that's as far as his feelings went
Plus, if Juvia heard he was in an "I Love Lucy" club, she'd kill the poor girl
Brandish just showed up one day. She and Cana had a stare down and began trying to one-up the other
"Well I've bathed with Lucy!" "So have I!" "I can touch her boobs whenever I please!" "I enlarged them for my own benefit!"
They both, respectively, ended their little tiff when they agreed her hair was as soft as the clouds in the sky
Natsu accidentally stumbled into a meeting when he was trying to find Lucy at the guild
When Cana told him what the club was, Natsu was confused at first
"Uh, yeah? Everyone who meets Lucy loves her. I mean, how could you not? She radiates positivity and warmth and her smile's as bright as the stars at night and she's so soft and squishy and when she sleeps she has this little tiny smile that you really need to concentrate on to see but when you do it's easy to notice how at peace she is in her dreams and-"
They just let him ramble that whole meeting
Brandish took notes
After that Natsu was officially invited to join the club, which he agreed whole-heartedly
They made him sign a waiver saying that if he spoke of the club to Lucy, they'd sic Erza on him. And he was NOt allowed to fight back
So yeah! There's that. (and the way the fic was supposed to work was through the meeting journal that Levy wrote. So like different entries)
Also, just to add on: I have this headcanon that if Natsu overhears someone talking about Lucy he has to butt in and give his two cents. Usually it ends in him info-dumping personal things about her. Half the guild now knows Lucy once only shaved one leg in the bath because she nicked herself real good. Had to wear pants until her next bath
#Yeah this little idea's been in my head forever#No but really#everyones in love with her#sorry this was so long#lucy heartfilia#cana alberona#natsu dragneel#fairy tail

I love kanade I really really do, bjt Arei just wins out for me. So how about Arei from Despair time alphabet with J, L, V, Y
J,L,V and Y fluff alphabet prompts with arei nageishi and kanade otonokoji
A/n:I'll do you one better. Why choose when you can have both (yes, this is allowed. It's still 4 letters even with 2 characters)
Arei nageishi
🎳J=jealousy (how jealous do they get? What do they do when they're jealous?)
Arei gets jealous pretty easily. While she may appear to have a big ego, she knows better than anyone how her personality is, and she's very afraid that you'll get tired of it and leave her so when she sees a girl flirting with you she'll immediately start yelling at her and calling her every insult possible while telling her you're taken. She'll also start making out with you in front of her just to rub salt in the wound
🎳L=love confession(how did they confess to you?)
She invited you bowling and was planning to confess while comforting you for your loss, but she ended up getting distracted by you and her emotions and losing, so you comforted her instead and she blurted out that she loved you, she was very embarrassed at first but very surprised and happy when you accepted her confession
🎳V=value (How important is the relationship to them? What is it’s worth in comparison to other things in their life?)
Your relationship and you in general mean so much to her, specifically the fact that you could see through and endure her personality, you and eden are the only people who see her for what she actually is:a person genuinely trying her best to make friends and change at least a little bit. She knows she probably will never be a good person, but she doesn't really care as long as you're with her
🎳Y=yes (how do they react to you proposing to them?)
"So, did you bring me here just to get destroyed at bowling? Hehe, sorry, but seriously, why did you play with me? You usually just watch me play"
"Well today is special"
"Really? How so?"
Arei watched as you got on one knee, pulled out a ring, and started your speech. Part of her genuinely couldn't believe this was happening. She wanted to pinch herself to make sure she wasn't dreaming, and before she knew it, she started crying.
She carefully listened to everything you told her and had the biggest smile you had ever seen on her face while still crying when you asked her the question
"Are you fucking serious? Of course I will, yes, yes, yes, do you need me to say it again? cause I will, yes I would love to marry you"
Kanade otonokoji
🎸J=jealousy (how jealous do they get? What do they do when they're jealous?)
Kanade is very much the jealous type just seeing you talking with another girl causes her to get violent thoughts, and if that girl starts flirting with you, you might as well say your goodbyes because that is the last conversation you're gonna have with her, she obviously trusts you and knows you're never gonna leave her but it's better to send a message to any possible competition.
🎸L=love confession(how did they confess to you?)
She wanted to go all out to show you just how much she loved you, so she asked hibiki to make a special song for you and make her sing it this time, she was very surprised by her sister's actually pretty good performance but didn't think too much about it. She made a private concert for you and after she finished singing she went over and told you that everything she had said in the song was for you. She then kissed and hugged you when you said you liked her too. She may have seemed blushy and nervous on the outside, but on the inside, she couldn't be happier that you said yes as that made things much easier for both of you
🎸V=value (How important is the relationship to them? What is it’s worth in comparison to other things in their life?)
When kanade fell in love with you, any obsession she might have felt towards her sister was replaced by you. She couldn't think of anything but you. All her dreams were filled with her and you living a happy life together. She loved you so so so so much, and thankfully, you feel the same . She doesn't even have to break you to be with you. She would gladly kill everyone in the world, including her sister, to be with you or if you simply ask her to. So safe to say you mean a lot to her
🎸Y=yes (how do they react to you proposing to them?)
"The scenery is beautiful, darling, but why did you bring me here?"
Despite what her question might lead you to believe, she knew exactly why you were there, the recent searching for rings online and measuring of hibiki's finger (you didn't want her to know and they have the same fingers) made it obvious, it was a bit disappointing if she had to be honest, she wanted to be the one to propose, to make a perfect discourse on how much she truly loved you (as if she didn't do that every day) but she could never complain, it was an even greater sign that you wanted to be with her
"To do this"
You got on one knee and pulled the box out, kanade tried her best to look surprised, but the pure ecstasy that was filling her mind was too much to contain, she started drooling a bit and hearts replaced her pupils, her true self coming out for a bit, but she shrugged it off in time to answer your questions without you noticing
"O-of course my darling, I would love nothing more than to marry you, I want to live the rest of my life with you, I will love you forever and ever, that's a promise"

If any of you thought I was done rambling about Symphogear, you are wrong 'cause I need to talk about Hibiki and everything involving the build up to Metanoia.
Every time we had the build up for the big attack that's named after the show's opening, it was a moment where Hibiki either brought people together or gained power from the other Gears to beat the odds.
But here, in the biggest fight she uses all the power she has, and the power that created from humanity's united desire to fight for its future, to fulfill her most selfish wish: To get Miku back and keep her for herself.
And this is huge because so much of Hibiki's character journey is defined by altruism and sacrifice. She gives to others because that's how she pays the kindness Kanade showed her forward, while also believing it's all she's good for as a product of her survivors guilt.
But here, facing yet another god-like being who mocks her efforts, she breaks through the impossible not to save the world, but to save the person she loves most in the world.
And I just love how they bring so many of Hibiki's themes together for this moment. She turns the accursed power of the God Killer Gungnir into an open hand that connects the feeling of the world, the blessing that helps her reach Miku, hold her and never let go.
She doesn't have to just feel the sunshine anymore, because now she has the Sun in her hands.
And it's just insane how amidst all the high-concept ideas, the beautiful themes of hope, the indomitable human spirit, and what brings us together, everything that happens in this ending is about Hibiki and Miku realizing they love each other. It's something that's really special.
And I didn't even dive into the meta textual significance behind the name of the song: Metanoia. Which can be a change of heart that expands one's view of the world and themselves.
Also, I'd be remiss not to mention that I've seen Symphogear fans point out that it's an anagram for "Ai no tame" meaning "For the sake of love" in Japanese.
This is one of my favorite endings in fiction, for one of my favorite characters ever, and for one of my favorite series of all time.
I love Symphogear so much! Watch this show!

obviously the dumbell characters cant be in proper kengan matches because they're not built for the brutality (even if they would win because they're bigger generic freaks than even the kengan fighters) but an actual fight matchup is pretty fun to think about and could even be a fun one off concept like the ryu vs ohma chapter
if machio were in a kengan match the way it would play out is him dominating his opponent and everyone initially thinking that he's a martial arts master using his physique to its true perfect advantage that would put even julius reinhold to shame but then the dramatic battle manga twist which would have all the masters standing up in shock would be that hes not actually using martial arts or any form of actual fighting: he's just going through various fighting adjacent workout sequences that equate to damage because hes so fucking huge and his trump card would be him grabbing his opponent by various muscles throughout the match and going "wowie you've really worked on your deltoids, pectorals and biceps, i can tell you're putting in the work! however your latissimus dorsi needs to be developed more if you wanna use your full strength for your blows! lets... MUSCLE!" and the shockwave of his flex is what ends up knocking out his opponent
conversely if hibiki were in a kengan/star match the way it would play out is her playing chicken for 90% of the match because shes an idiot and was easily talked into a blood match for the prize money without realizing the brutality at play and obviously she doesnt want to get punched it would ruin her face! but then maybe her opponent insults her weight or she hears the spectators saying she sucks at this and that pisses her off so much she does a single perfect straight punch that would leave a hole through the opponents chest and knocks them through the building. in kengan matches this would have her going further because no sponsor would let her quit (the prize money for food would rule) but in star it would garner no money whatsoever and the star strikers would just drop her off at the school gate they kidnapped her at and go "here's your winnings anyways we know we kidnapped you and all but also never contact us again your match sucked" and leave her in the dust but very briefly through the car window as it speeds away hibiki would see hina do a "call me" 🤙 hand sign with a perverted battle hungry smile
#zerav meme#kengan ashura#how heavy are the dumbbells you lift#kenganverse#julius and machio being friendly enough for julius to show up in a gym commercial is really funny to me. what rich lives they lead ..#julius is somewhat aware this gym trainer could match him but hes like 'nah this guy Knows the value of muscles i dont wanna fight my buddy'

How did you two meet? You liked to think it was pure luck. Your shift had just ended and you were packing your things, ready to return home and take a long hot bath after so many hours of hard work. Maybe treat yourself to a snack and some home movies. After all the next day was your day off, it wasn't like you had much to do anyway. Just as you were about to leave, your colleague and closest friend at work, Hibiki, rushed in with urgency in his voice. He asked if you could cover for him, his sister suddenly collapsed and was rushed to the hospital. Being the only family she has, he had to be by her side. You didn't think much to it, instantly agreeing to cover for him. You told yourself that he would do same for you anyway.
The evening was turning out to be a slow one. You worked at a sweets and baked goods store. It wasn't exactly your dream job (you already had that,) but you were making a steady income from it. It was a nice side hustle, you got to meet with people and work on your social skills anyway. And sometimes it was fun. Your heart would always belong to coding and programming.
You positioned yourself at your post, putting on your best charismatic smile. You tried not to think too much about staying out so late, but anything for a friend right? When the doorbell rang throughout the quiet air, you straightened your back
"Good evening." You greeted with cheer. "May I take your order?" Your words died in your throat the moment you saw him.
He was tall. So tall he had to bend to enter the shop. He was dressed in a white shirt and black pants, expensive looking dress shoes in his feet. He walked towards the counter and smiled brightly. His smile was utterly stunning and his white hair gave him an ethereal appearance. You however couldn't see his eyes as they were hidden behind dark sunglasses.
He was so handsome.
Clearing your throat, you pulled yourself from your thoughts. The man leaned over the counter.
"Good evening," He replied your greeting. "Are you new here? I haven't seen you around."
Oh, he must be a regular customer then. "No sir, I'm not new." You replied curtly. "May I take your order?"
He proceeded to order quite a large batch of sweets. He paid and tipped very generously. The exchange didn't take long, he left but not without dropping a casual 'see you later'. You reminded yourself to ask Hibiki about him.
You didn't think much about him, since you probably won't see him again. When you asked Hibiki abouut him your colleague replied that he was a regular and that was all. Your life seemingly went back to normal. But three weeks later he showed up again, this time on your shift. The both of you talked while you put his order together. Mindless small talk, weather and news. You had to calm your racing heart a lot. It was awfully easy for you to slip up and mess up when in the presence of a stunning person. Especially one as stunning as him.
From that day on, he would visit almost everyday, buy sweets and talk. You slowly found yourself looking forward to work just for a chance to see him and chat about what ever came up. You never asked for him name and he never asked for yours. It was frankly refreshing. And you liked it. This went on for two weeks. Till one day he asked if you were free after work. Shocked, you had said yes. He gave you his card. Gojo Satoru, that was his name. Call me when you're ready, he had said.
And so you found yourself putting extra time into your make up and outfit. You'd stop and scold yourself. It wasn't even a date, you told yourself. You were just hanging out. That was it. Still you didn't stop going over your hair and making sure it was perfect. He picked you up and drove to a decent restaurant.
Gojo Satoru was bored. As the heir of a very successful multi billion dollar line of companies, his life was set forever. He was bored with everything and constantly seeking out new forms of entertainment. On that fateful evening when he walked into his regular sweets store and met you rather than the kid he was accustomed to, he found the change interesting. As the days went by and your conversations bloomed, he found that he enjoyed them. You were easy going but professional at the same. He honestly had no intention of roping you into his life but…he was bored. And so he asked you out.
So for that evening he treated you like a princess. The both of you talked over the most delicious curry you'd ever tasted. He asked questions about you, surface questions, nothing too serious. When the night was over, you admitted to having a great time.
"Maybe we should do this again?" He suggested, half expecting you to refuse, half expecting you to say yes.
You thought for a while, "that'd be fun."
And fun it was.
It was the blossoming of a beautiful friendship. The two of you became friends after that. And for a while, Gojo's boredom was satiated. You would got to the movies, hang out, sometimes you'd invite him over to your place and you'd play video games or watch a movie or something. It was really nice. You felt really flattered that a man as beautiful as him was friends with you.
Maybe that realization was what kicked it off.
After a year of this, you were invited to a friend's birthday party. What you hadn't expected was for Gojo to be there too. Your friend, Shouko, who was also invited asked how you knew Gojo. Shouko and you had basically no secrets from each other. Having being born in the same hospital on the same day and growing up together you knew each other so well. People often joked that you two were twins.
"He's my friend." You replied while sipping on champagne. The expensive bubbles ticked your tongue and made you feel relaxed.
Shouko's dark brown eyes narrowed. "Just friends?" She asked.
"Yea.." You replied. "You don't actually think I have a chance with him, do you?"
Shouko shook her head, a playful smile tugging on her red lips. "Just saying…just saying. But seriously though, I'd stay away from Gojo Satoru if I were you."
You didn't have time to ponder on her words as the celebrant dragged you off for a photo session. You hardly saw Shouko after that, assuming she'd left. After a few more glasses of champagne you started to feel tipsy and thought it best to get some air outside. You met Gojo outside. He was leaning against the wall, staring at the night sky.
"Hi," You greeted. He turned to you and smiled. You wished you could see his eyes. Those damn sunglasses. "Wanna go home?"
"You're drunk." He remarked casually, a small smile on his lips.
"Nope. Just a lil bit tipsy." You joined him on the wall. "Would you like to watch movies with me?"
"My place or yours?" At that moment it didn't cross your mind that you hadn't actually been to his place.
"Mine" You replied. "Hope you're not drunk?"
He smiled. "One of us has to be sober, don't you think?"
You giggled. He drove you to your place. You invited him in. After a cold shower and light dinner, you both settled down on your couch to watch a Disney classic. You blamed it on the alcohol. He blamed it on bad decisions. You kissed him. He returned your kiss. Soon hands were roaming each others bodies, clothes were flung off and you woke up alone with a burning between your legs and a tray of painkillers on your bedside table.
You went back to work, your mind in a hazy state. You remembered very well what had happened, and you remembered it was you who started everything. You felt kind of bad, for reasons you couldn't place. You didn't expect him to show up as usual, but to your greatest surprise he did. And he didn't bring up the previous night, neither did you. But after that something changed. The way you saw Gojo began to change as well.
Had you caught feelings? Was that even possible?
You couldn't deny it, he was insanely attractive. He could get any woman he wanted to jump in his lap. And he was incredible in bed too. You found yourself wanting more of him.
The next time you both were alone, you couldn't keep to yourself. This time you were free from the influence of alcohol. He was incredibly gentle with you taking his time to give you pleasure. When you wanted to return the favour he declined, telling you that this was about you. You felt wanted. It was a new feeling. When the night was over you asked him what you were. He hesitated.
Gojo was excellent at reading people. And as a result of that he knew exactly how to act around certain types of people. He knew what to say. And when it came to you, you were a wide open book. There were no secrets. He knew the type of woman you were. He knew you needed constant validation and affection. He had truly hoped you'd grow bored and leave. But to his surprise you stuck around. He saw it in your eyes as he rutted his hips into yours. The hazed look, the lovesick gaze. He knew you were in love with him. A stupid foolish thing for you to do.
"I can't do relationships." He said at last. "I can't give you that. Love and romance. If that's what you want, you should better go." He expected, really expected you to accept this and just leave.
Your heart broke, you weren't going to lie. "Oh,"
"But if you want, if it suits you, we can continue doing this." He offered. You were a modest girl, he knew that. You should refuse. You should walk away. But you didn't. Your eyes shone and you nodded. And he hated you for that. Why were you giving him the green light? We're you that fucking dumb? Couldn't you see what was going on?
"Of course…" You whispered shyly.
That was when all hell went loose.
You don't know exactly what changed but something did. It became clear to you your feelings for him. You were in love with him. You didn't know if he knew though, you hadn't told him. Gojo began to take you on expensive dates. When he came over he would bring gifts. Expensive fruit, jewelry, clothes, desserts, random stuff, whatever he saw fit. You would shyly accept those gifts. When he was not on trips you would bake him something, you knew he had a sweet tooth. And when he was away on trips he would call and check up on you regularly. It was like a relationship, except you still knew nothing about him and he wouldn't make you his girlfriend. But you couldn't deny how good it felt being spoiled like this. It only made your feelings for him grow.
You began to notice a change in his behaviors. He was a very busy man, you knew that much. But the times he was available he became possessive. You noticed how his expression would change when he saw you with a guy. You found it a bit too intense for someone who insisted on a "no strings attached attachment". But you ignored it. Of course you would ignore it, because you were so in love with him and wanted him to stay with you.
"You should stop going to work." He said after a very steamy night at his place that left your breathless and sore followed by the sweetest aftercare ever. The both of you laid in his bed, not talking. You were enjoying the silence, because it frankly hurt your throat to talk. Your back was turned to him, he held you close to him tight his thumb rubbed circles into your hip through your pajamas.
"I…I have to p-pay bills." You gasped, feeling very exhausted. You just wanted to sleep, and maybe take some painkillers. Your throat hurt so much.
"I can take care of you, you know that." His voice had a edge and his arm around you tightened.
You heart sank. You didn't like the sound of that at all. You knew he was rich alright, filthy rich and he could take care of you. But to drop your work? That hurt just to think about it. Out of the question.
You turned to face Gojo. He was staring intently at you. His brilliant blue eyes unreadable. You blinked to remind yourself why you turned. It was awfully easy to get lost staring at his jewel-like eyes.
"Why?" You asked, your heart racing. Was this the moment he was going to ask you to be his official girlfriend? You doubted it. But still it didn't hurt to dream. Then you added bitterly, "It's not like we're dating."
His jaw clenched. Often times you would pipe up the topic of dating to him and he would quickly shut it down. It was conflicting how he didn't want to date you but continued to act like you two were dating.
"Because I said so." He replied calmly, the edge in his voice gone.
He brushed a strand of hair behind your ear, his bright blue eyes locked onto yours. The gesture was too affectionate for your liking, the eye contact too intense. He just stared at you, as if he was reading your mind. Held spellbound by his eyes, you could do nothing but blink. His lips formed a small soft smile. He raised his hand, his fingertips massaged your earlobe. And for a while his eyes flashed with lust.
You turned away from him, focusing your gaze on a beautiful painting ahead of you. His hand moved to your hair, caressing your scalp softly. You became aware of the feeling of the silk pajamas you wore. Maybe he chose the softest silk so your bruises would suffer less. Gojo was talking, but you weren't listening to him. You wondered how much the painting on the wall cost, if he would get mad should you destroy it.
From then on things got worse for you. Everything. You'd come home one day to find him already at your place. And in a bad mood.
"Where have you been?" He asked straight without a greeting.
"Well hello," You mumbled. You were beyond exhausted. And you weren't expecting to see him. How did he even have the key to your house? You didn't recall ever giving it to him.
"I asked you a question." His voice was clipped, annoyed.
"I went on a date." You replied casually. "Actually it's ready late and I have work tomorrow so…"
"A date?" He was quick on his feet, his body blocking you and stopping you from moving. You backed up and stared at him. His eyes were angry. So beautiful and so angry. You chest hurt. How dare he?! He kept you around as an option but didn't allow you to have other options.
"Yes." You replied quietly. "I went on a date." You'd barely finished before his hand gripped your neck cutting off your air flow. Caught off guard, you yelped and dropped your bags, trying to pry him off you. It was difficult. He didn't even budge.
He said your name, his voice calm. He backed you up into the nearest wall. His hold on your neck didn't let up. "You're mine. Don't you ever forget that. That being said, I don't want you with another man. Okay?"
You wanted to scream at him. You wanted to kick him. You wanted to tell him you hated him and that it was over. You wondered what was holding you back.
But you knew the answer.
You loved Gojo. And you wanted to make him happy. You wanted to make him love you back. And you thought that if you stuck around long enough that would happen, he would fall in love with you. So that was why you nodded, slowly and defeated. The smile that graced his face was nothing short of malicious. It was a sharp contrast to his angelic features. His hand left your neck and you took in an exaggerated amount of breath. He patted your head like one would an obedient dog.
"That's my girl…"
Yes. What a good girl you were for him. That night he was rough with you. He ignored your pleas and your cries, bending your body past your limits. He pushed your face into the sheets so your cries were muffled. His nails dug into your skin leaving cuts. You couldn't help but feel that he was punishing you, being rough with you to drive a point home. It hurt. But at the same time he knew the buttons to push. He knew how to make you feel good. When the pain was distracting from the pleasure you tried to focus on, he would switch and become gentler. The switch was maddening and you couldn't tell which was worse - the pain or the pleasure. When he was done, he handled you like glass, cleaning you up and drawing a bath. When he left you to soak in the bath, you cried.
"What is it?" His voice on the other side of the door asked with a sigh.
You glared at the door. "I'm okay!"
"If you're okay then why are you crying?" Gojo asked, annoyance clear in his voice.
So many things rushed to your mind at once. So many words you wanted to say. You bit them down. When you took too long to answer you heard his footsteps recede. You only cried even more.
Gojo treated you worse after that. He did things without your consent. For instance he changed your entire wardrobe, claiming your old clothes were too "drab". He made your boss fire you and when you got another job he just did the same thing. You just knew he had people watching you. In all these you know you should've ran. But you didn't. Because if you left him, how could you make him love you?
He would show up without prior information at your place and his hands would be all over you. Sometimes he'd take you to his place but nothing would change.
At first he would talk to you, ask about your day, but then he got bored of it and just went straight to taking off your clothes. You tried to get him to stay after, to talk or watch movies like our used to. But he wouldn't listen to you. He'd come, fuck you and leave. He gave you more expensive gifts, like some sort of apology for nearly breaking your body Everytime. You began to detest those gifts because for each one you had a scar or mark on your body for it from Gojo's rough handling of your body. He would tell you how much be cared for you, and how much he didn't want anyone to lay their filthy hands on you. How no man deserved you but him. He would tell you how everything he did he did for you.
He never once told you that he loved you.
You would cry yourself to sleep. And still hold on to the hope that he'd love you. How naive and stupid you were. To him you were just a meat sack with fuckable holes. You were just an option, not the option. It hurt and your heart broke everytime. You didn't know how much longer you could take it. How much longer your body could take his manhandling. You missed the old days. When things were much more simpler. When the two of you did mundane things and actually enjoyed each other's company. When the joy of seeing him was true.
Gojo on the other hand knew he was an asshole for treating you the way he was. He knew you didn't deserve it. He couldn't imagine another man treating you the way he was treating you. He wanted to let you go, yet at the same time he couldn't bear the thought of another man touching you. He hated to admit it, but you were fun. You were lonely, easy to manipulate and control. Even though you pretended to be bold he knew your resistance withered everytime he pressed for what he wanted. And damn did he know how to press. He knew something was wrong with him. But he also didn't care. The sick pleasure he got from seeing your face contorted in pain was satisfying. Your pleas and whines he found cute. Something about the way you took everything he gave you, the way you'd stare at him as he rutted his hips into you, the emotion in your eyes, the silent hope…it was an elixir he could never get enough of. You were so eager, so pliant, so demure. He wanted to ruin you.
All because of the sick love you had for him.
Who could love someone like him? He was disgusted. With you or himself he didn't know. He wanted you to fight back. He wanted you to hit him. He wanted you to yell at him. To do something other than cry in the bathroom and into your pillow. He wanted you to call him out, to get up and leave. Call it quits. But he knew very well that he wouldn't let you leave. He's too selfish for that. It's too much fun. You're too much fun. It's sick and it's abnormal, but he doesn't care.
So he continues to play with his toy, breaking it each time to see how much it can take before it falls apart. It's a sick game, but he enjoys it. Seeing you helpless, hearing you beg, being a good girl while he pushes your body into positions he knows you can't handle. Watching fear stirring in your eyes. Fear and that sick love.
Maybe something was wrong with you too. Maybe you were as messed up as he was.
You stared at your laptop absentmindedly. You were trying to work on a freelance project. But you couldn't focus at all. You felt miserable. You felt depressed, drained. Gojo was on a business trip, he didn't specify when he'd be back, he never did. You shut your laptop and walked to your fridge. There was nothing interesting there. With a heavy sigh you ran your hands through your hair. You had the urge to get drunk. Very drunk and wasted. You wanted to forget about Gojo, even for a night. With this energy you showered and got ready. You wore a racy dress that drew attention to your figure. You were proud of your body, Gojo seemed to worship it anyway. It felt like your greatest weapon. Natural makeup and dainty heels. You drove to a fancy but really good club.
The loud music was overpowering. Not really in the mood to dance, you headed over to the bar to get a drink. You thought the bartender looked really familiar. Long dark hair, ear hoops, a devilishly handsome face.
He called you name, as if confused or unsure if it truly was you.
You almost squinted. But then it but you. He was Geto Suguru, and you knew him from your uni days. Your face broke into a bright smile.
"Suguru!" You screamed above the music. "Gods, I've missed you!"
Suguru smiled coyly. "It's certainly been a while, my dear. Although I have to point out you're not one for places like this."
You rolled your eyes playfully. "I want to get drunk! Can you do that for me?" You didn't stop to think how you'd have to drive home. You weren't thinking at all.
He raised his brows questionably but didn't ask "Of course." He poured you a drink and you drowned it in three gulps.
You tried to make small talk. It had been a long time since you had last seen each other. And in that time he hadn't changed that much. He was still handsome as ever, and still chose to wear all black. Not that you were complaining, it always looked good on him. Maybe it was the alcohol in your system, or maybe it was the club atmosphere but you clenched your thighs the longer Suguru talked. You watched his lips move, utterly mesmerized.
"Do you have a girlfriend?" You suddenly blurted. He looked taken aback then laughed.
"No, I don't. Is anything the matter?"
You sighed. "Just some stress."
He gave you a glass of water. You scowled at him darkly. He flashed a charming smile. "Boy problem?"
You rolled your eyes. But you didn't touch the water. You didn't come her to drink water. "Duh.."
"Little wonder you're here. Do you want to talk or…" He didn't finish his sentence but you got the drift.
At first you wanted to decline. But then you recalled the countless times you'd seen Gojo with women. The countless lipstick stains, he always complained about lipstick stains, made you wear lip tints, but still managed to get some. It's not even like you were dating. If he wasn't exclusive to you what made him think you should be to him?
"You won't feel bad?" You asked Suguru.
"Nope." He replied with a wink. "I'd be happy to help out an old friend."
You knew you were making a bad mistake. You had the nagging fear that Gojo would know. But those fears were put in the back of your mind. For one night, for one fucking night, you didn't want to think about him. No. Not as Suguru's lips were on yours. Not as he locked the door to the toilet stall you found yourself in. Not as his hands explored your body at a relaxed pace. Not while he looked at you like you were the most exquisite woman to walk the earth.
"You're beautiful," He whispered in your ear, his hot breath making you shiver. He undid the zipper of the your dress, careful not to rip it. He kissed your bare skin. There was something about how he explored your body. He seemed relaxed, like he had all the time in the world. He was very vocal, praising and worshipping your body. Gojo hardly spoke to you during sex, unless he was trying to drive a point home and he did so using such derogatory words that you couldn't believe came from his beautiful mouth. You frowned when you found your thoughts drifting to him. You didn't want to think about him at all.
Suguru's skillful fingers finding your slick core drew you from your thoughts. A loud moan left your mouth as he pumped his fingers slowly while rubbing your clit with his thumb. He was being so gentle as though you'd break if he applied force, which you probably would. Backing you up against the wall, one hand in your folds, the other peeling your gown off your body. You felt him pause and opened your eyes. He was staring at the bruises and marks that littered your skin, his expression unreadable.
"Hey…"
You bit your lip. "Suguru please," You held onto him tightly. "Please just fuck me." Your face was bright red. But you meant every word you said. He leaned in and kissed your lips softly while resuming the motion of his fingers inside you. It wasn't long before you came hard, twitching and biting your lip so hard it bled.
"I don't think we should do this."
You were still calming down from your high. You stared at Suguru, his gaze moved to your bare body, but there was nothing sexual about it. He was angry. You suddenly wanted to cry. You immediately detached yourself from him and hastily fixed your clothes.
"M-maybe you're right." You said with a half chuckle. What were you thinking? If Gojo learns of this there was no telling what he would do. "I'm sorry…I…"
Suguru pulled you into a hug. "I understand. And as much as I want to know the bastard that did this to you, I can tell you're scared about something."
You returned the hug, your body trembling. "Thank you." He gave you his card.
"Call me if you need help. And I mean it."
You nodded. Without any more words you left. You headed straight outside. Tears stung your eyes. Hurt and scared tears. Gojo will be so mad, that was all you thought about. You couldn't find your car. Utterly confused, you stared at the empty spot you had parked it. Your heart began to sink.
"Yo!"
You knew that voice too well. You didn't recognize the car that pulled up in front of you but you recognized the driver.
"Satoru…"
You could feel his eyes sweep over your appearance even through his dark shades. You felt it on your face, his eyes taking in your teary eyes and revealing clothes. His jaw clenched. From what you could see he was wearing a suit. He'd probably just gotten back. He got out of the car and held open the door for you.
"I've arranged for your car to be sent home. Let's go, you'll catch a cold dressed like that." He said. His voice was calm. Too calm. You obeyed. He got into the car and started driving.
"How was your trip?" You asked, trying to lighten the tense atmosphere.
"It was cancelled." He replied simply and said nothing else.
"I'm… I'm sorry. I..I didn't mean to I just needed to get some stress off my chest and I…."
"You're sorry for what?" He cut you off, glancing at you briefly.
You hung your head. A tear breached your lashes. Your shoulders trembled. "I…I was with a man."
There was no sound in the car. It had become deadly quiet. Then a very low 'oh' From Gojo. You knew you'd fucked up.
He drove to his place. He hadn't said a word to you. You mind was whirling with the possibilities of what he could do to you. He ushered you into the white penthouse and locked the door behind him. He took off his jacket and tie. Without glancing at you he walked over to his bar and poured himself a drink.
"Satoru I…"
"Why are you so selfish?" He asked. He hadn't shouted but his tone made you flinch. His eyes were on the drink in his hand, or so you guessed. "what haven't I done for you? Am I not enough for you?"
You bit your lip. "It's not that."
"Humour me." He sat on one of the couches, stretching his long legs in front of him. You felt his gaze move to you. You remained where you stood, trying not to feel small.
"I," You struggled for words. You searched for his eyes through his dark shades but couldn't find them. "I want to be loved. I want to feel wanted for who I am and not just my body.."
"And you thought a fucking one night stand would give you that?" He scoffed. "You're more dumb than I thought." You can't really say his words hurt you, your heart ached enough already.
"You're the one being selfish here!" You suddenly screamed. "You want me all to yourself but you wouldn't even date me! You're free to do as you please, sleep with as many women as you want but I'm not! How am I selfish?!"
"Is that what this about?" He sighed in a bored manner. He took off his sunglasses, bright blue eyes now dark and muddled with something you couldn't name. "I told you at the start of this, didn't I? I told you that I cannot give you romance. Did I not give you a chance to walk away?"
Tears filled your eyes. This was beyond cruel. "That's…"
"But you didn't, you chose to stay. And now you're acting out. You're overreacting dear. Look at what you've done to yourself."
His words cut like a knife. You could feel yourself trembling under his gaze. "Satoru…."
"I have been good to you. But that's not good enough is it? You want some sappy dude to lie to you." He chuckled to himself. "Love? Love is a curse, y/n. It's something people came up with to hide what they actually want. Did I ever hide what I wanted? Did I ever lie to you? Why do you have to be so selfish?"
"Please….Satoru….stop.. "
His eyes flashed. A sadistic smile formed on his face. "You're so fucking ungrateful. You know that right?"
This was not fair. He was turning the tables on you. You hadn't done anything! It was he who was wrong! Why wouldn't he just listen to you?!
"That's not true!" You cried. "Just stop! Stop it! Please…"
He didn't. If anything your tears spurred him on. Ah, you should've known. He loved seeing you suffer.
"I get it now. You thought you could change me. Damn, you're really that dumb?" He scoffed while staring at you like you were a stupid child. His eyes were filled with disgust and anger and hatred it made you feel sick. "I thought you were a smart girl."
You wiped your eyes. Something inside you hardened. "I'm leaving. It's over." You turned to leave, your hands pulled into tight fists.
He rose to his feet in an instant and grabbed your arms, spinning your body to face him. "No. You're not going anywhere. Is that clear? You had you cahbce to leave, you didn't take it."
"I hate you!" You screamed at him. You were sure new bruises would decorate your arm with how hard he was holding, and how his grip tightened each time you struggled. "Let me go!"
He grabbed you by the hair and pulled you to the couch. He flung you carelessly but before you could escape he grabbed the back of your neck and pushed your face into the couch. You felt a sharp pain radiate from your nose to your head.
"Maybe if I fuck you senseless you won't have enough brains to think of looking at another man." You heard him say behind you, his tone full of vitriol.
You tried to scream, to beg for mercy but your face in the couch muffled your voice. You couldn't breathe. His grip on your neck was hard. Your nose was probably bleeding by now with the force he slammed your face into the couch with. Your head was pounding so badly. And the tears didn't stop. He pushed your gown up so it bunched at your hips. In a smooth motion he tore your underwear off, the straps digging into your skin and making you whine with pain.
Gojo chuckled, spreading your lips his middle finger swiping your slit. "You're already wet. I guess I don't need to prep you then."
You began trashing violently, trying to scream, to beg him to prep you first. He responded to your struggle by slapping your ass so hard all breath was knocked out of your lungs.
"Behave." His voice was dark.
You sobbed into the expensive leather couch. Your ass throbbed where he had hit you. It hurt so bad. He raised your head, forcing your body into a painful arch. You tried to get as much air into your lungs, trying to ignore the warm blood that trickled down your nose.
"Satoru please…." you cried, hating how miserable you sounded. "Please I'm sorry! Don't do this .. please…. I'll be… I'll be good I swear!"
You barely heard him undoing his belt by how much noise you made sobbing. He filled you up without any prior warning. He was huge and you were unprepared. Even though you were wet it took a lot of preparation to take his size. A scream ripped through your throat. You tried to form a coherent sentence but all you could form were gabbled words. Still you tried. You screamed for him to take it out, to be gentle. He either didn't understand you or just ignored you. He began thrusting into you at a bruising pace. Each time he hit your cervix it felt uncomfortable. You tried your best to imagine yourself somewhere else. Somewhere happy. But each harsh snap of his hips brought you back to your cruel reality.
"You feel good you know?" He grabbed your hair and raised your head whispering in your ear. "My own personal cock sleeve. So fucking perfect."
"Please!" You cried. "Please stop! It hurts! Please!"
He shushed you. "You deserve it. Take it like the fucking slut you are." He let your head drop, his hand moving to your hips, holding you perfectly in place as he bruised your insides. His other hand moved to your neck and squeezed, cutting off your air flow. Black dots were appearing on your vision. You desperately wished he'd just let you pass out. But he didn't. He lets up when you're about to faint, leaving you gasping and choking.
It hurt.
Your insides burned with the stretch he forced upon you. Your head pounded. Your throat was dry and painful from how much you'd screamed. It hurt. It hurt so much. You weeped into the couch, your skin starting to feel hot. You didn't want to feel good from this but that was near impossible. Gojo knew your body too well. And he was hitting the right spot inside you that made you see stars.
He would rub your pearl at a pace that contradicted that of his hips, so slow and gentle it was difficult to not feel good. At a point you couldn't tell if your cries were cries of pain or pleasure. Even when it became clear to him that you'd climaxed, he didn't stop. He continued to play your body like an instrument, lengthening the pleasure and setting your nerves on fire. When it began to feel really good he would grip your neck painfully hard. His nails would dig harder into your skin, he would hit you. The pain would make you cry even more but still you'd tighten around him.
"I knew something was wrong with you" he said, his body folded above yours, soft lips close to your ear. "You like this, don't you?"
"N…no…I…"
"Stop lying." It was so unfair how level his voice remained even though he was slamming you down on him. "I can feel how hard you're clenching around me. You're one crazy slut, you know that right? You're really sick in the head if you enjoy it this much. You're practically dripping right now."
He'd drive his point home by hitting your ass so hard your body lunged forward. Pitiful cries fell from your lips, fresh tears joining the dried ones on your cheeks.
"I knew it. You're just as fucked up. Tell me, did you think he could fuck you like this? Answer me!" He gripped your chin and turned your head so you met his gaze. You could barely recognize him with how crazed he looked.
"PL…please…" You didn't even know what you were begging for. Tears clouded your eyes.
He drove his hips harder into yours. You cried out, trying to crawl away from him and give your battered body a break. He let up his grip, giving you false hope that he was done with you, only to pull you back to meet his brutal thrusts.
"That's right. No one can make you feel this good." He leaned into your neck and bit the soft skin above your pulse, leaving a very visible mark. You whined with discomfort, your body going limp. "So now, be a good girl and take it."
By the time Gojo was done with you you were in an hyper stimulated state. You'd lost count of how many times he'd made you climax, how long you had to ignore the pain. The room around you barely even existed anymore. Everywhere hurt. Bite marks, bruises, hand prints, cuts where his fingernails dug into your skin littered your body. Your entire body trembled. Your throat felt hoarse with how much you had screamed. And your core felt like it was on fire. You didn't even have tears left anymore. You just wanted it to be over. In your muddled state of mind you wished he'd snapped your neck by mistake when he gripped too hard.
Gojo stared at your naked body, sweat covering your skin in a translucent second skin, his marks littering your body with bruises and he felt a sense of pride. Something about seeing you looking so small and broken made him want to protect you forever. To shield you from the outside world. Even covered in his marks and fluids, you looked demure. You were so beautiful, even though he didn't tell you that.
He ran a shower and gently washed your body. Everywhere hurt but somehow his hands soothed your skin. He prepared a soothing bath, scooped you up and placed you in the bathtub. He joined you, holding you as physically close as possible. He kissed your hair and told you how much he cared for you. And how this was all your fault. And he told you how you'll spend the rest of your days with him, how he'd arranged for your things to be moved in. That way you'd never leave. Ever. And no man would ever get to touch you again.
You barely even heard him, your ears still ringing from the amount of times you'd screamed and nearly had your brain fried with pleasure.
He turned your head and kissed the side of your mouth. His gaze was soft, almost loving. "My perfect doll," He said. "Made for me, all for me."
Turns out you still had a tear left in you. It fell from your eye, he flicked it away.
"Don't worry, you'll be safe with me."
You didn't have even the energy to move your arms. Yet you smiled at him, a tired smile. He kissed your temple.
"I love you." He whispered against your skin. He meant it. After all, you were covered in evidence of his love.
And you believed him.

Now that you brought it up I'm SUPER curious how sdra2 -2+2 would go down, especially the aftermath!
Since you said especially the aftermath, allow me to ramble about just that! It is something i really like thinking about with this Au, but i can totally make another post talking about the changes in the actual Kg if asked :]
-The exit code Teruya and Rei had in canon has been signficantly changed here. It's basically this safety that could exit them out of the game on command but also save them if they ever died in the sim by creating a copy/backup of their avatars, this however was never properly tested before they went in since they were in a hurry and when they needed it this code didn't work as intended.
Teruya and Rei
Rei used it to exit the game in the prologue but instead of getting her out she became glitched in this sorta digital limbo through the rest of the Sdra2 Kg and all she could really do was try to communicate with Sora (since she's an Ai and not a human). When the sim resets/shuts down during the mass execution she essentially died, and Teruya died as well because of the Ch5 stuff. However! The backup code did work! Just not as well as they wished.
It did do its job, but the backup avatars were on a glitched state. The two are essentially in a coma of sorts, so only Tsurugi and the girls join the sim to be a part of the Ch6 trial.
When they do finally wake up a good while after the Kg ended, they're still left with a few sequelae even though Kokoro did her absolutely best to restore their avatars as much as she could. Teruya now has a couple memory issues and Rei has chronic headaches, but hey, that's certainly better than not coming back at all.
Kokoro
-Their predicament is the whole reason why Kokoro wasn't arrested immediatelly after the killing game ended, as the person who basically created the simulation she told Kinjo that she could fix their avatars and bring them back safely. After much consideration (and convincing from Ayame, Kizuna and Hibiki's part) he agrees to have Kokoro work on bringing back Teruya and Rei + search the simulation for any remnants of Ai Mikado to delete him completely. She also tries to find what's left of Sora and put her back together, but that's not something Kinjo or anyone ordered her to do. (Sora was one of the few that believed she could change and were sympatethic to her in some extent after the reveal that she abused Mikako and helped set up the Kg. Essentially this fic i wrote a while back is basically canon in -2+2 now.)
During this time she stays working at the Kisaragi foundation they give her a room in the facility to live in and she's given an ankle bracelet that tracks where she is, so she's essentially in a house arrest of sorts and can't leave the foundation without a permission from Kinjo and agents to come wherever she's going. Not she leaves at all, she really just focus on messing around in the sim since it's part of her wanting to make up for all the terrible things she did in her life.
No one from the foundation talks much with her (friendly talks, that is) at most some higher up comes to check on her progress, but Hibiki stuck around the foundation for as long as she was working there. It was also during this stay that she met Beni when she was on break and saw her arguing with her dad, from analyzing her unusually intense emotions for a situation like this she can tell there's something off about the kid and steps in to take a closer look at her.
She tells Hikaru he should definitely bring her to child psychologist for a mental health evaluation which leads to Beni being diagnosed with BPD and autism, from there Beni gets curious about Mitsume and wants to ask more about her condition + get to know her in general because "Woah, Mrs.Mitsume is super smart". She's around the foundation most of the time so she starts to go after her in the area she's working on the sim stuff, which annoys Kokoro initially since she's working, so she tells her to wait for her breaks because then she can awnser as many questions as she wants.
So they do just that and start hanging out in the foundation's break room were Kokoro explains more about her conditions and mental illnesses in general, she also ends up telling her about alexithymia and the two bond over neurodivergent experiences. Overtime Kokoro softens up to her more and let's Beni follow her around in the lab she's working on the sim stuff, she let's het know a lot of what she's doing too and they chat a little even ad she's working.
Beni has a pretty messy relationship with her family at this point, she's a kid that barely sees her dad since he's so overworked at the foundation and with her mother being dead ever since the start of the tragedy the only person she had always around her growing up was her older brother, so this lack of a father/mother figure is why she ends up viewing Kokoro as one, or at least the closest to during her childhood. To the point she gets annoyed at her actually family when they suggest ot try to get her to stop being around her, especially since neither Hikaru or Hamato want to explain why they don't want her around Kokoro. (Obviously you should tell a 7 year old about human experimentation and the orchestration of a killing game, but since Beni is a lil kid she doesn't understand why they can't just explain to her why they dislike Mitsume so much)
As for Kokoro, she doesn't necessarily view Beni as her daughter, she more so sees much of her younger self on her which is why she takes a liking for the kid and wants to know how she's doing (and help if she can) because there's a sentiment of "Maybe this one won't turn out as bad as I did." Though by the time she takes notice that Beni sees her as a mother figure she tries to slowly distance herself from her because the idea of being seen as a mother brings her a lot of pain because of knowing what she did in the past to her actually daughter and Kokoro does not think any kid should look up to her out of all people.
This is around the time he's basically done working for the foundation and once Teruya and Rei are awake and being treated by Ando and the rest of the medical team at the Kisaragi foundation +Ai Mikado and the sim are no more, she finally goes to jail, (thought Hibiki did try to change her mind about it). Hibiki visists her prision and Beni does so as well when she's old enough to do that.
Emma and Syobai
-They're both arrested immediately after the Kg ends. He tries to get her to do a prision break with him, hoping that the sliver of luck she still has could help, but Emma refuses since in her mind, what good would that do? Where would she go afterwards?
He still tries to make a break for it and takes Midori as a hostage, but then Emma uses the remainder of her luck to free herself and chase after them to stop him. She gets stabbed by him in the process, but at least things don't escalate to the point Keisuke almost shoots Midori like in canon and Syobai gets sent to a higher security prison. Afterward that's taken as a sign that she really is trying to change because if she wanted to she could have tried to escape and all, so a while after Emma is given a job at the foundation as a way to pay for her sentence and also keep showing that she's no longer a threat. (She's on the same division as Midori, she's meant to keep track of her in a way, that was her idea after all.)
Hibiki
-Whike she's initially brought to be interrogated by Kinjo out of his own paranoid suspicious that she had a hand on Kanade's murders, after that's cleared up she goes on to give her account on the events of the killing game so that Rei's division can document and know exactly what happened there. She spends a good while on that, alongside Yoruko because the intelligence division wanted to compare the facts between the two not-cirminal members to see if they were being truthful + Foundation higher ups found Hibiki's takes to be biased in certain aspects, so a second opinion is always great to have.
While Yoruko leaves shortly after they're done with these interviews Hibiki sticks around the Kisaragi foundation for basically as long as Kokoro was working for them, she's the person Hibiki became the closest with after the events of Ch3 and she stays by her side after the killing game ended as the one (living) person out of their "class" that doesn't hate Kokoro's guts.
While she's there to keep her company and listen to her ranting when things don't go as she planed or just feels terrible after everything she did, there is part of Hibiki that's using Kokoro as a clutch to not move on with her life. The thing is that Hibiki has truly never been on her own, before she was always around Kanade and after she died she was always around Kokoro. But the killing game is over now, everyone else has gone their way already and she knows Kokoro will get locked up sooner rather than later, so she's in a state where she's not sure where to go next or how to do it with nobody by her side.
So her stay around the foundation is half her wanting to support someone who helped her a lot, half her procrastinating on this soul searching she's gotta do. Though in the time she's just fucking around there she meets Ayame and Kizuna's kid and while Akira is not the biggest fan of idols she does know about Melody rhythm and liked a handful of their songs, so with Hibiki there she asks her for some singing lessons, tips and whatever.
Through these informal classes of sorts Hibiki discovered she really likes passing on all she's learned through her years as a singer, so later down the line she becomes Akira's producer/career manager and the two even have a few songs they made together.
Yuki and Yoruko
-These two's fates after the Kg change the least from canon. Yuki still dissapears basically immediately after they leave the sim for the final time and while Yoruko hangs around the foundation for a bit longer than canon, she still ultimately decides to leave and move on with her life instead of getting a job there. Much to Hibiki's dismay since that's another person she had to see go with the knowledge that they probably wouldn't see each other again afterwards.
She tried to get Yoruko to stay by telling her about how Kokoro was trying to bring back Sora too (this was kind of a secret between Kokoro and Hibiki). But since Yoruko doesn't like Mitsume at all anymore she doesn't want to believe in what she's doing or wait around when she could be met with nothing but dissapointment.

this is a list of moments where natsu is smart (but it's getting less and less of them per arc, so i'm filling up space with my yapping) (episodes from 65 to 80)
(i took a small break, c'mon, watching fairy tail for 5 days straight is tough)
- when hibiki gave them the map of nirvana lacrimas, managed to figure out that zero is on lacrima 1 by his senses alone (tho i don't know how much he trusted them, he seemed pretty shocked when he saw zero)
- when fighting zero, managed to stop/dispel/burn zero's dark capriccio with his iron fist
- (am i the only one who thinks that we are SO missing out on a bond between jellal and natsu? how natsu was going to fight jellal there and then, how jellal shielded natsu feom zero's attack, and it being paralleled with how simon shielded erza and natsu from jellal's attack? how jellal gave natsu his flame of rebuke to boost natsu, and natsu accepts it and thanks him? gah-)
- when fighting zero, natsu managed to deflect zero's attack with his fire
- (for me, it's always such a delight to see natsu fight, he moves so much, with so much grace, like dancing licks of flame, and fight with zero shows it spectacularly, ough-)
- (also, what is it with igneel? "you dare to call yourself child of igneel" huh? i kinda see where he is coming from, natsu really strives to proof himself, so he wants to encourage him to fight that way, but it rubs me the wrong way? and in the flashback, at natsu's very reasonable question how can he even break that huge rock, igneel just says to "never give up before you try" and "believe in you strength" and "never forget that you are a dragon slayer, be proud of it" (okay, the bit with how he'll always be with natsu is sweet), and natsu is just "okay, but i still don't get it how to break this rock :/". i think he was trying to convey what makarov said in first episodes, how magic comes from the heart and belief, but from igneel, to me it came off more like a parent telling their neurodivergent child to "just do it, it's easy, everyone else is doing it fine, you should try harder", like, hey, if i am not managing to do it, how would i do it without you explaining it? eh, it's me rambling-)
- when fighting zero, he managed to burn and dispel zero's genesis zero with his flames (which i think set a precedent to him just burning his way through various spells and magic)
- (and also, can i say how beautiful the names of his attacks are? first it was crimson lotus against laxus, now it's phoenix blade against zero, wow, i did not know you had it in you, natsu (i mean, okay, we don't know who exactly designed them, natsu himself or igneel, but even if it was igneel, i just can't imagine him naming them, especially after another mythical creature))
- (natsu was the first who stood up for jellal against rune knights, calling jellal their comrade, my fucking heart)
- (i am now an advocate for jellal and natsu's sibling-like relationship. like, look: tried to revive a person, tried to sacrifice his loved one person, tried to change the world, regarded as genius in magic, feels immense guilt over past actions, has several personalities. now, who am i talking about - jellal or zeref?-)
- (also, do we have honest to god ghosts in fairy tail? cait shelter was all an illusion, and roubaul said that he was something of a thought projection, like jellal used with siegrain, and then mavis with herself, since she was not really dead. so, no ghost?)
- (also, my headcanon is that cait shelter was named after cat is beacause dragon slayers behave kinda like cats, and roubaul took one look at wendy and immediately thought of her as an abandoned kitten)
- (oh, daphne arc, joy🙄🙄)
- when fighting gray, for gray to not land a hit on him he broke the floor under them
- (what was your deal, gray? yeah, natsu forgot about his promise, but what does it have to do with you? he was 12, what could have he done? and people of silence just said that they'll be waiting for as long as they'll need, so no time clutch. and since you stalked him there, why did you not just, reminded him? i doubt you were going out of your way to solve it, not since you met up with daphne while she was in magnolia these seven days, just say that there is a person for natsu to beat, thats all. and really, "when i heard about dragonoid i figured that the only way to beat him was from inside" don't give this bullshit, the fastest way to beat dragonoid was to beat daphne before she even started it. and the condition to releasing people of silence was to beat "the one who controls dragons", not the dragonoid itself. if it was your genuine plan, and not something to fuck over with natsu, then please, don't let anyone let you plan again, there will be casualties-)
- (and the moment natsu fell into dragonoid he remembered town of silence, go figure that gray really didn't to go all this way to remind natsu of his promise)(also, he only forgot about it because he thought it was a weird dream on his part, but gray couldn't have had this thought because he was watching natsu, so he knew for sure it was not a dream)
- (daphne is overpowered, what do you mean you can stop a whole town from revealing themselves from their magic-)
- (i... get it what they were trying to do, they wanted to overheat dragonoid with natsu's flames of emotions, but could you not do it when he gave you direct permission to thrash dragonoid with him, and not when the guys soul is 3 percent from being fucking absorbed, i swear to god, if not for gajeel just straight up punching the core, they really would've lost natsu)
- (kudos from me to gajeel for remembering that lucy has a spirit with arrows and that they can deliver fire for natsu to boost himself)
- (THANK FUCK ITS OVER)
- at fairy tail's annual sprint, he managed to boost his speed with his flames (but gajeel still was running toe to toe with him and gray and erza, gray has ice floor to skate and erza has her special get up to not lose as much stamina and maintain her pace, how did gajeel got in top 5 all on his own? how fast is that fucker?)
- (i really want to see natsu in serious sexy get up-)
- hey, for everyone to know, natsu knows that when people are in danger you should prioritise people in danger over fighting since he was 12 YEARS OLD-
- ooooow, gildarts playing catch with natsu while talking with him, then going fishing, playing with him, picking mushrooms, having a picknick, watching over him when he and lisanna sleep, he is such a dad to him, he just looked at him once and immediately thought "yeah, that little spitfire needs a parent. anyone? no? oh well, why not me-"
- natsu worrying over wendy, asking if she bumped her head, precious
- when in edolas, made them disguises out of literal plants, like, carla's doesn't look half bad, and wendy's look really cute! its only with his and happy's that he decided that slapping some leaves is enough, lmao
#ft#fairy tail#natsu dragneel#oracion seis arc#daphne arc#edolas arc#i was really upset with gray#like dude have natsu ever done anything like this to you?#did he ever compromise your own safety and well being like that?#natsu soul not just magic almost got absorbed#he almost died because of gray's actions#thats not a joke#and he did even apologise#he only said to makarov that he'll 'shoulder all responsibility'#NOT that he was sorry#that is not the same#ugh#rewatching fairy tail

The first half of Shirabe Meshi chapter 30 is finally out after getting delayed due to the flu
It starts on a stormy night with Carol holding what seems to be the direct feedback system that Elfnein modified to dive into memories
"If I use this, then my memories..."
The next day, everyone is talking about the weather the night before, particularly how much lightning there was. Genjuro jokingly asks Hibiki if her belly button got stolen (referencing a bit of folklore where Raijin will steal your belly button if you don't cover it during a storm).
Hibiki says "Master, please, that would never happen these days! It may have happened to people in the past, but if you wear a belly band, it's totally fine! That's what Dad told me!"
Tomosato: (Don't laugh...)
Fujitaka (I actually feel sorry for her...)
But that particular conversation comes to a close when the Autoscorers run in with Carol in tow. "Master started acting all cute!"
Meanwhile, poor Carol is so confused and scared due to being taken to a "strange place" by a bunch of "weirdos"
The Autoscorers discuss Carol's personality change to which Elfnein comments that it's like how she was when she was younger and her father was alive (Carol: "A girl that looks just like me?!")
Hibiki gets sad because she thinks that Carol burned away her memories after all they've been through together but Fujitaka points out they haven't detected energy great enough for that to be the case.
...Then Elfnein notices Micha's hands.
Her claws are uh...fish now. Apparently Carol got scared of them and transmuted them into something less...sharp.
Genjuro suggests getting her to the infirmary, but him being as big as he is, he scares her, so she starts freaking out and turning everything she can into fish.
Shirabe comes in with onigiri and suggesting a break right in time for them to...also get turned to fish.
Shirabe: "My salmon onigiri turned back into salmon..."
Genjuro: "At this rate we'll all be turned to salmon! We have no choice, we have to use force!"
Carol: "NOOO! SOMEONE HELP ME!"
And so Hibiki's need to protect others kicks in.
"You can't be so forceful with a crying child!" and runs off with her.
Carol: "Um, who are you?"
Hibiki: "I'm Hibiki Tachibana, age 17! My birthday is September 13, my blood type is O, my height is 157 cm, and yeah, maybe I'd LIKE to be a bit taller! I'll tell you my weight once we're better friends! My hobby is helping people and my favorite thing is Miku's food! And when it comes to the whole never having a boyfriend thing, I'm updat--"
Shirabe: "Stop! You're screaming some pretty private stuff in a public area."
Shirabe informs Hibiki that Elfnein and the others are going to investigate the cause, but in the meantime they have orders to calm Carol down, so they decide to give her some new fun memories by taking her to an amusement park
Hibiki goes to get some drinks and comes back to Carol and Shirabe sitting on a bench. Hibiki asks if she's tired, and Carol responds that when she was living her with father, she never knew the world outside of that had so many fun things to do and so many good foods to eat.
So Hibiki says she has one last place to take Carol: Her dad's ramen cart.
Carol is amazed that his food looks so good, because her dad always blew up whatever he was cooking
Some tears fall into the broth, and that's...the end of the first half. Second half will be released in a week.

I'm not big on anime, and usually skip the intro, but I need to talk about some reasons I find Bubble to be so brilliant.
Spoiler alert.
1. The little mermaid was one of my special interests for years, so yes, there is that.
2. The pure, tender but also "I will die/kill for you" love story. Beautifully done, even when we understand their fate, it doesn't discourage you from watching and it does not disappoint;
3. Good plot with cool characters that actually add to the story.Hibiki and Kai's development, first on that big jump when Kai shows how much of a true leader and self-sacrificing person he is, so we understand it was never jealousy but his desire to be useful and relevant - love how they animated that moment -, and then when Hibiki, that does everything alone, asks Kai directly, in front of everyone, to go with him. These are just two of my favourite moments, but let's keep moving.
4. The quality of the animation itself. Seriously, animating can be a pain but animating parkour? The camera movements are sick, and the dynamic is amazing! Parkour is not a cool background: they are fully committed. Also, they pay attention to other details (like Hibiki's freaking headphones flying on that epic scene) that make all the difference. I could post a ton of pictures about the poetry of it all, but I'm gonna stick with those four.
5. The way they portray neurodiversity: casually, naturally, and with its inherent value. It's a relief to see someone like Hibiki being a pro at something that is not what we usually see in this type of character. Enough with the chess player/reader/tech genius autistic characters. People can have other abilities! Other needs, other characteristics. They can be relevant because of what makes them different, even if it's "small", like an auditory hypersensitivity. This was something very special, and I quite like how this post talks about it.
Also, who doesn't like apocalyptical scenarios nowadays?
A lot of spoilers ahead:
At the very start, Hibiki falls from the tower and Uta follows him, presumably to save him. As he drowns, the bubbles of his breath meet Uta, and they merge into something that resembles a supernova. This is going to be referenced later by Makoto: "It's said that the world repeatedly collapses and rebuilds. Assembles, bursts. Scatters. Then assembles again..."
Uta becomes a human through him, quite literally. As she grows into multiple bubbles, we see a poster on the train with a girl on it, and the similarity between them suggests that she used that as an inspiration for her human form - although her hair is blue, which brings her authenticity forward. Funny enough, the poster says "beyond the border". Then, still underwater, they touch (kiss, in my opinion, for the sake of Hibiki's need for oxygen), but her human form is not affected by touching him like it happens when they are on the surface - beyond the border.
It's also interesting to think about the many layers of the word "bubble", not only as an obvious reference to the original fairy tale. A bubble can be a cage or a protection. When underwater, it holds the air, and "air", "breath" and "wind" are terms extensively used in literature and in various religions to refer to our spirit. We also have a similar situation with "sound" and "music" being connected to frequency and the creation of the world. We know Uta signs and her name means music, in Japanese. A name that was given to her by Hibiki, by the way, which I love, and definitely means a lot to me for so many different reasons.
With all that said, I believe there is a reason why Hibiki and Uta's parkour movements are synchronized and their hair is so similar (with rebel strains on the top of their heads). This sense of oneness is brilliant, and she chose it. She chose to follow him. In the same way she chose to use the shape of that girl in the poster, she chose to conform herself to Hibiki's image - which, to me, is the greatest way of showing admiration and love, the act of considering the "object" of your love so high that they inspire you, they influence you! They change you/ in the end, allowing you to become yourself.
I also like the way they chose to approach our post-modern dilemmas, like doing dangerous stuff for views, the collective "orphan" feeling, as well as this "danger" and "independence" that they "seek" as a way of escaping the ridiculous reality outside (or are they pushed to it?). As a result, they end up living inside another bubble, the bubble that actually originated their trauma. When they choose to live and thrive on their own terms inside that doomed place, it's just a weird but relatable type of irony.
Now, let's talk about the end. I absolutely love the end? Like yeah, smashed my heart, and I'm gonna cry again every time I watch, amazing voice work and all, but that final scene has tons of hope and an amazing perspective of what truly happens when we have a connection (love), which is it never dies.
Love does not die. It lives inside us, and it changes us, and it becomes part of us. It is true that love suffers, but isn't that a consolation? The reality is that suffering can not be avoided unless you want to live a meaningless life, isolated with your headphones, struggling to be yourself, to find your path, wishing you could cease your own existence.
It even makes me think that we can only be ourselves through others.
Society is all about being independent nowadays, but this is just pure bullshit. Our level of co-dependency is higher than we think it is. Without love (connection), all will die. We die, and I mean this literally.
That's why, in my opinion, Hibiki says he wants to leave at the beginning of the movie. He is not going to leave the bubble. Why would he? I believe he wants to leave. You can tell his actions are not only autistic traits or trauma response, and that he is not deliberately rude - they are clear signs of depression: he is just not interested. He is somewhere else, a place no one can reach, detached. He threw the flag after a victory because it didn't matter. It's that stage where we look bored, rude, cold... But we are actually sinking.
Well, if I'm right and he wants to end it, he still needs to understand what that sound is, that song, that calling. So when he goes to the tower, it seems to me he is actually fine with risking everything for it. Hibiki is confident in his skills, but also smart enough to know how dangerous it is. It's better if he dies trying, though, right? The need to find meaning is more important, so he doesn't care if the answer costs his life; he has nothing to lose.
In fact, maybe it's something to win because in the worst scenario, he would not be taking his own life, he would be trying really hard to find the purpose and dying for it. It's a good excuse to die.
This search for meaning is present in the whole crew, but here I have literally so many things in my mind that I can't type, so I will jump to the conclusion that the purpose is found in the community.
And that's the most precious thing Uta did. Since her first moments with them, she was bringing them together in her own way (in chaos, with crazy chickens), and birthing a new pattern. Because of her giving nature, her surrender, her love, and her being, all of them end up overcoming whatever patterns were holding them back before, and that's why I said we can only be ourselves through others. Community is powerful beyond measure when its foundation is true love.
But above that, sometimes there is that one special connection, that powerful type of love, that will change everything, that strong and pure love that is just... Something else. And we crave that. As humans, we crave spiritual, deep, mystical connections. We crave the things that are beyond. That we can feel but can't fully explain. We crave love in its deepest, most consuming levels.
"Love suffers all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never ends."
I truly hope we can all be found by it.

Oh sorry Hibiki, I mis-spoke. What I meant was… Well, I am concerned about the police trying to arrest you. It depends if word of Kanade being a serial killer is out or not, but I’m worried about corrupt douchebags trying to arrest you for what you did under puppet state.
Well, my biggest worry is that Officer Kinjo would take me in for questioning at best, but...the Future Foundation actually protected me. They're handling my case from here on.
But I do still feel awful about it. I might not have been in control, or remembered any of it, but...I'm still a scumbag...
You really don't need to worry about that Hibiki. And neither do any of you guys.
I mean, think about it! How many ex-criminals and murderers actually work in the Future Foundations upper-echelon?
Huh?
Yeah, trust me, you are FAR from the first "sinner" that's been allowed to stay here.
H-How do you mean?
Uh...right, let me think about it...
Leon, Hifumi, Mondo, and Kirumi all killed during the Killing Game, and Sayaka attempted murder...I'm pretty sure Byakuya has killed people before, though I'm not SURE of that...
Maki is literally an ex-assassin...Gonta also killed lots of people under hypnotism, just like you...
Literally everybody from Class 77, except Chiaki, so that's...Hajime, Mahiru, Nekomaru, Akane, Ryuji, Fuyuhiko, Peko, Sonia, Gundham, Teruteru, Hiyoko, Ibuki, Mikan, and Kazuichi...are all ex-terrorists who were brainwashed into helping Junko destroy the freaking world...Not to mention Hajime and Mukuro Ikusaba worked directly with her, and killed and destroyed things in her name...
He's left the Future Foundation now, but the guy who taught me how to fight is...sorta kinda a vigilante serial killer that kills people he considers irredeemable, and his best buddy is part of a family known for dangerous experimentations that use human test subjects...and his girlfriend is a hitwoman...
And uh...Oh yeah! Ryota tried to subjugate all of humanity, so there's that too!
Also, I've...never killed people, but I've DEFINITELY tried to...haha...ha...
... ... ...
...
...That was a lot, wasn't it?
I suddenly don't feel safe here anymore!
Nononono! I swear, we're all really good people! ...Now...
My POINT is there's no fear in Hibiki being arrested or judged for what she's done! Nearly everybody here is in the same boat and understands. So if you ever want to open up to others, you can.
Maybe you should talk about it to Gonta? Like I said, your circumstances are similar. Same goes with Mukuro. Trust me, she knows what it's like to have a maniacal twin sister.
If...I get a chance, and if they're willing, I...might do that actually.

Suite Precure Novel Prologue & Chapter 1 Summary
(This book is first person perspective from Hibiki.)
Prologue:
This summarizes the series' events and sets up an ominous tone for the upcoming chapters.
Hibiki wonders why she never noticed the deep sadness that was always right next to her. She now feels like she's being chased after by a quiet dark wave that's engulfing her. This part is cryptic and probably refers to events later in the novel, but she's basically in a dark place where there is no more sounds, which she simultaneously wants to stay in forever and leave immediately. She doesn't know what to do and doesn't believe she can fight heroically.
She never thought in her wildest dreams that she would ever feel this way.
Chapter 1 — As for Us Since Then...
Hibiki is in her third year of middle school and is going to graduate soon. After graduation, she's going to study abroad in Germany for music stuff. This is taking after her dad, since he studied there and also can speak German.
That said, she gets the sense that her dad's German is weird, much like his Japanese is weird due to his quirky personality. Hibiki has doubts that people will understand his weird German, but he's also the only person she can learn the language from so she's getting instruction from him anyway.
In terms of music lessons, Hibiki is getting piano lessons from both her dad and Ouji. Ouji sometimes teaches her 1-on-1, which she hasn't told Kanade yet because she knows Kanade would be jealous. Unlike her dad, Ouji actually explains what parts she gets wrong and gently encourages her by telling her that everything will turn out right. This has endeared him to her greatly to the point that she starts feeling her heart beat faster and her temperature rising sometimes when they're alone. In other words, Hibiki now also has a crush on Ouji-senpai. (Or at least it very much sounds like it considering lines in the next chapter.)
Ellen (Eren?) is trying to be a musician and writes her own songs that she plays around town. Hibiki notes her songs are a little sad but beautiful, a fact she hasn't told Ellen because she feels that Ellen might get carried away. Trio the Minor have also come to stay in Kanon Town and sing Ellen's back vocals sometimes. They've apparently ditched their funny outfits and made their hair normal (boo). They work at the biggest music store in town and want to debut with Ellen.
Pii-chan is living with Hibiki. Hummy is working as a songstress in Majorland and is staying there all the time.
Otokichi has been telling Hibiki, Ako, and Ellen that they all sound off when they play music (or in Ako's case, sing), lately. Probably because they're all off doing their own thing and their hearts aren't in harmony anymore.
Hibiki has to play a performance with Kanade at a farewell party before she leaves for abroad but Kanade hasn't been showing up to practice at all because she's so busy with baking, trying to get into a prestigious baking school.
Since Kanade wasn't showing up to practice, Hibiki went to go steal some of her food from her club. Though she was counting on Kanade noticing her and getting mad at her in their usual joke routine (it's evident here that Hibiki likes baiting her like this), Kanade was busy talking to a friend in the hallway. Kanade is very serious and really upset at Seika (who has graduated) and says something slightly mean about Seika's tarts (calling them far too mediocre) to the friend she's talking with. Seika apparently wouldn't praise Kanade's latest cake. This surprises Hibiki, both on the front the Seika would say something about the delicious cake she's in the middle of stealing & eating, and that Kanade would ever say something like that about a senpai she looked up to so much.
The friend noticed Hibiki and Hibiki was ready to hear Kanade's loud tsukkomi "HIBIKIIIII!!!" but instead Kanade is just quiet and is like, "Sorry. i'm busy today," and tries to return to baking.
Hibiki pulled Kanade into the hallway and told her she thinks it's really important for them to practice, and that she really wants to have a good performance with Kanade in their "last" moments before she goes off to Germany. Kanade said "last" was dramatic, and that she's sorry she forgot but she'll show up next time. She does a wink + puts her hands together, which Hibiki thinks she looks so cute that she relents.
Kanade tells her that a while ago a famous pastry baker came to visit and said she had talent. Hibiki wonders when that was and feels like Kanade is drifting from her, since before Hibiki would've been the first person Kanade would tell right after it happened.
Hibiki tries to invite Kanade to go to the ocean with Ako and Ellen and Kanade turns her down immediately because she's too busy. Kanade is thinking of setting up her own store instead of inheriting her dad's shop in the future too.
Hibiki feels like a kid who just had their favorite toy taken away. like she would just start bawling at Kanade being distant if she wasn't older.
Afterwards, Hibiki goes on an aimless walk and ends up in front of the clock tower where she sees Ellen. When she smiles at Hibiki, Hibiki internally compares her smile to a surprise present that makes her heart skip a beat "even though we're friends" (lol). Ellen also turns down Hibiki's offer to go to the beach, says she doesn't want to return to how they were before (alluding to having to fight and being evil due to her remaining guilt about the whole thing).
Hibiki goes to Shirabe Mansion and runs into Ako who is there because she ran away from Majorland temporarily (just for the day) as she's sick of having to hold her tongue to act like the queen that Mephisto and Aphrodite are training her to be. Even Otokichi says that she needs to try to tolerate it because she's going to be the queen of a whole country. So Ako is kind of arguing with all of her family right now.
Hibiki once again tries to suggest that the team all hang out but Ako immediately said "Can't." before Hibiki could even finish her sentence. RIP.
Hibiki is jealous of Kanade for having so much confidence in knowing what she wants to do to the point that she's not even asking her dad or Seika-senpai for advice anymore.
Hummy came to visit and brought cupcakes from Kanade's store — Hibiki notes that she doesn't remember the last time she's had these. Hibiki plays some piano with Hummy singing and narrates that she can relax around Hummy. It seems Hummy comes to hang out every now and then to check up on Pii-chan (Mephisto & Aphrodite ask her to do this periodically). Afterwards Hummy says goodbye and tells Hibiki to be happy while going back to Majorland.
Personal commentary:
The Ouji thing is extremely annoying. That's now 3/4 of the Suite girls who have had a crush on him, Ako only escaping because she was paired with Souta instead. (Speaking of which, where is that kid?)
It just seems so annoyingly out of character for Hibiki who didn't get his charm and had absolutely zero interest in him the whole series, even when he was just as kind and sparkly then too. I just don't like it. Hibikana wishful delusions aside, I feel like it should've just been left to Kanade since that was already established in show and far more in character.
Otherwise it's honestly cute that Hibiki is aware of her goading Kanade by stealing food routine and likes going through with the whole thing. It really indicates that despite her telling Kanade to buzz off multiple times in the first few eps of the anime she actually is taking actions to stay close to her also even if she didn't want to admit it. Even when they were barely speaking to each other they still had the fight routine about her stealing food from the baking club, which is something she probably did because it was an obvious way to get a reaction from Kanade. But unable to admit her feelings about it or talk about what was actually causing the rift in their relationship, she didn't know how to do anything else other than just fight with Kanade. (Though their initial fight with the whole tree waiting thing was silly as hell.) But like any interaction is better than none so Hibiki still stole food regularly enough for it to become a pattern between the two of them.
The other characters at the club also point that out in ep 1 (?) that Hibiki and Kanade actually are close and both of them shout that they aren't. Meanwhile they both get something out of the interaction enough to keep negging each other even though that isn't what they ultimately want.
However, unlike in the show where they would just start poking at each other's weak points emotionally, instead they both appear to be avoiding blow ups, even as they continue to dance around their emotions. Kind of weird though, since in show even in the early eps when they didn't admit that they were friends again Hibiki would do things like run to Kanade and confess that she's the number one fan of her cakes.
I feel like Kanade is throwing herself into her baking because she doesn't want to think about Hibiki leaving. So she's also avoiding all the things that will come off as like a "This our last time". I wonder if Kanade's new dream to own a posh store of her own is also a "I don't need Hibiki because I have a dream as big as hers" thing.
I don't really like the characterization that Otokichi would get on Ako's (who is like what, now, 9? 10?) case about being a future queen, or that Ako would speak so bluntly and coldly to him. I can sooort of see it but I expected Ako to have a better relationship with Otokichi than this. Rather than being cold to him, I expected her to have a harder time to say stuff that might disappoint him since he was there for her when neither of her parents were in the anime. Like if she was going to get mad at Otokichi I feel like it would be more of a frustrated, hurt / crying outburst type of mad that wants a hug rather than a cold freeze. Given Otokichi's goofy smile for her and stuff in the show, I also feel like he would've been less scolding about the whole thing and more of trying to give her gentler reminders. They're really trying to pull Ako as having to Grow Up immediately but it's kind of funny are you really going to grill your 9 year old like this. You and what, your entourage of clowns and animated self-playing instruments?
Anyway this book is a big tonal shift.

Oooh~ how about we give Kanade Otonokoji with a Boyfriend that absolutely adores her and loves affection.
Kanade otonokoji with an affectionate boyfriend
A/n:this is a good time to mention that in every kanade post I'm gonna do she's gonna be a yandere. cause it's kanade.......what did you expect?
Kanade is obsessed with you in every way possible. She would lock you up to be able to always have her hands on you and to have you all to herself, but thankfully she doesn't have to do that because you love her just as much.
Your relationship is pretty much the best case scenario for both of you. You get a sweet and loving girlfriend who loves you to bits, and on the other side the fact that her boyfriend is so openly loving with her helps her feel more confident in you and therefore control her more....dangerous tendencies.
For example, normally, if she sees a girl even remotely staring at you with a slight blush, she'd already be plotting a very brutal way to murder her, but the fact that you are looking at her with an even more loving gaze and hugging her makes her think that maybe letting her live while knowing she doesn't even have a chance with you is better.
She absolutely lives for your affection, hugs, hand holding, kisses, anything you can think of as affectionate, she adores so much, she will never ever reject your affection no matter where you are or what situation it is in public or private it doesn't matter. And while on the outside, she may look all blushy on the inside, she's fangirling and practically drooling at feeling your touch.
Whenever she needs her sister, hibiki has to practically tear her from you like you're glued together, and she always scolds kanade because she spends too much time with you.
"Sis we already talked about this, you can't just spend all day hugging y/n we need to practice"
"I-i'm sorry, hibiki, but he's so warm and cuddly. You should try saying no to him with that adorable face. Ahhh I love him so much"
"I get it but don't you think you're exaggerating?"
"What do you mean?"
"......You're literally hugging him right now"
"I don't see a problem with that"

Honestly you just answered your own question. Letting Hajime and Hibiki know that even if you don’t agree with their choices, you still love and support them, that you want them to be happy, that will make all the difference in the world
*In the closet*
So, what did you wanna talk about?
...
Listen...Gunny, if you're mad at me or feel like I've neglected you-
You haven't. That's not what this is about, nor is it about any suspicions. I have other matters I want to address.
...Is this about my sister?
Yes. But it's not about your decision with her, it's about your inability to let go.
My anger is not at you. It's how, even now, you refuse to release yourself from her. The one who caused you so much grief and heartbreak, who plunged you into a living nightmare and it took everything in our power to wake you up.
You bear no responsibility for her actions. You had nothing to apologize. Had you chosen to strike her down, I would not have judged you. Nor would I have judged Hajime.
I know, okay? I know, I made a mistake, and now-
You...still do not understand...
...Hibiki, my dearest siren, shall I tell you a tale? It's the tale of my lineage.
What do you mean?
...I am the offspring of an angel, I told you that much. But my mother was seduced by a devil, and I am the product of their union. A union neither side's family approved of, and I was rejected by both sides.
And in the end, even the devil abandoned us. He brought me into this world, resented my very existence, and left my mother and I behind to pursue his own desires. His fortunes were denied to us as well.
Wow, what an asshole!
Indeed. But never once did I resent my mother for falling for his seductions; even when all others abandoned us, she stood by me and sought to raise me. She may not have been perfect...but she was still an angel.
And so, while I may bear the curse of evil, even as I was rejected by humans, I will never allow myself to become like that devil.
And then...I met Sonia, Hajime...and you. I met those who stood by me, even through the darkest times. You don't try to change me, you try to understand me...
How could I ever resent you? And how could I stand by and allow yourself to remain tainted?
Tainted...?
The tainted of the demon that harmed you. Who continues to harm you, and from whom you refuse to unshackle yourself. Now is the time to move on, to absolve yourself and understand that your mistakes- whatever they may be- are not the cause of all this.
And by all the power vested into me, allow me to say this! Otonokoji Hibiki...
*He places both hands on her shoulders*
I forgive you. Of everything you fear and everything you feel guilt for. You are forgiven.
Now...I hope you'll learn to forgive yourself as well.
Gundham...

Hey, have you watched the anime "senki zesshou symphogear"?
It's a very great magical girl anime and if you haven't watched it yet you definitely should! I think you would like it.
...This has got to be a trick. ^^; You already know, don't you?? I can't remember talking about anything remotely similar to Symphogear lately...I mean, unless you just really like the anime and want to recommend it to everyone, in which case 🆗
Anyway, short answer: Yes, I have. ^^
Long answer: I used to be a Symphogear SUPERFAN. I watched all 5 seasons of the anime and the OVAs, I read the S1 companion manga (and did some panel recolors~); I archived the whole S1 soundtrack, I memorized all the girls' activation songs, and I was an active contributor and later a translator on the FANDOM wiki. If the new people haven't completely rewritten everything, you can probably still find a few of my articles there. I focused mainly on episode summaries and the introductory blurbs for the XD Unlimited mobile game events. I'm pretty sure my song translations have all been edited out, unfortunately...=_=
Anyway, I also used to review the series as it aired on my DeviantArt account. ^^ It was a big part of my life for a while there, and I still keep tabs on it occasionally...nothing's really been happening lately, though. Even the mobile game is shut down at this point...I really hope all their recent attempts to keep the hype alive are actually leading up to something, because if not...I mean, either do something new with the series or just let it die gracefully, y'know?
Like, instead of getting normal promotional things-- merch drops, pop-up cafes, sponsorship collabs-- we're getting DJ shows and chiptune remixes (that weren't even that good...) with pretend videogame visuals...it's making me suspicious. If we're gonna do this, the 'cinematic production' they're talking about better be good. I don't want 90 minutes of 'grown-up Hibiki with long hair reminisces about her earlier missions (so we can fill the runtime with flashbacks)'...because if they do that and it flops, they're not gonna recoup the money they're spending on these...things, and then the series really WILL die. Sadly and un-gracefully...
...It probably shows that I have a complex relationship with the franchise. ^^; I have seen Symphogear at its best and its worst; I have loved it at times and I have hated it at times. I agree that it's a high-quality anime...unfortunately, I think a large part of the reason that I kinda fell off it is because its final few episodes were some of the most disappointing. I loved Season 5, but they really didn't have any creative ideas for the actual end of the series and by golly it showed. ^^;;; Left a bad taste in my mouth that remains to this day.
Because of that, if I ever do talk about it again-- maybe after that 'cinematic production' finally releases-- it's gonna be with a critical lens. Symphogear deserves its flowers for its consistently beautiful animation, A+ character design and action-packed story...but it also has a lot of problems that I've never seen anyone mention. Like its bad habit of "redeeming" villains with deathbed gestures...or its occasionally sloppy handling of trauma (*cough* tomato metaphor *cough*) that honestly got progressively sloppier over the course of the series. How do you start with Tsubasa's and Chris's incredible character arcs and end with Maria thanking her mother for abusing her...? o_O
Also, and this is a big one: there's a lot of fanservice, some of it honestly NSFW, and a some of it actively detrimental to the story. I don't mind bath scenes and pool scenes during the casual moments of the story, but I do mind gratuitous boob jiggles during the hyper-serious final boss fight. T_T Pick a tone, please. To Symphogear's credit, it handles its fanservice with a rare level of maturity-- now that I think about it, there's a lot of nudity in the series too, but they tend to do it so tastefully I never thought to point it out. But that means when it DOES start doing more immature stuff I can't really forgive it...like, come on; you're better than this.
^I say all of that because if any of you read this ask and want to check out the anime that changed my brain chemistry, you deserve to know beforehand. I really hate how when people talk about anime they only ever say "its good, it's really good!" without addressing anything that happens in it that might be uncomfortable or triggering (Symphogear is included there, just FYI: most of the abuse the characters have suffered is offscreen (like Chris being sex trafficked as a child) but it does get brought up, and you will see a bit of it occasionally). It's gotten to the point where I simply don't trust people when they recommend anime anymore; even if it's something as simple as having really excessive fanservice (for example: Mai-Hime. Great premise, fun characters, interesting story. Not watching it again, tho) I know they're not going to mention it. They never do.
As anime slowly becomes more mainstream, though, I'm hoping that culture is going to change. Action anime in particular routinely handles heavy, sensitive topics with graphic visuals, and not wanting to be surprised by that doesn't make you a 'tourist' or whatever they're calling people these days. Content warnings harm no one; they only help.
#anyway I welcome any future Symphogear asks#or any anime asks in general ^^#I don't watch much these days but I sure as hell used to#anything even remotely magical-girl related from the 2010s#I probably at least have an opinion on

SDRA Boys reaction to finding out Kanade killed there Fem S/O because she is best friend with Hibiki which resulted in Kanade cutting up S/O gruesomely like she did to Setsuka in the canon Game
Damn, fellow angst fan!
You didn't specify if Hibiki committed the murder too, so I included how they would interact with her after the trial knowing what her sister did-
Yuki Maeda:
When he sees your body at first, he's in complete shock
He wants to look away, but his eyes won't budge
It isn't until Shinji and Sora say his name a few times when the dam breaks
He's horrified, sad, angry, and full of grief all at once
He throws up during the investigation, and can't go near the body
There's no point, since it's already burned into his mind
He's quiet and crying during the trial, barely even blinking and ignoring anyone who tried to help
Sora tells him if he wants to get justice for you, then he must work with everyone
"...huh...What the hell do you know? About me? About Y/n? She's dead. I don't care anymore."
Yuki goes blank. Even void is a little worried, isn't it a bit soon for Utsuro to come out?
Anytime he sees Hibiki, he feels his stomach drop, the image of your body appearing fresh in his mind
He doesn't want to hate her, as she's just as much of a victim as you were, but her resemblance to Kanade makes him mistake her sometimes
Teruya Otori:
He slams his fist down on the podium in grief and anger, his eyes beginning to swirl in despair.
Why was this happening to him again? It was really all because you befriended the wrong person? Why did you have to die? Why couldn't it have been him!?
He thinks back to all the moments he had with you. Sun gazing, cuddling, your first kiss... he'd never see you again, he promised he would protect you and he failed again. Why was he such a failure?
He didn't want to give into despair, he really didn't, but sitting idly while everyone you loved died a horrible death made him wonder if hope really did exist
He stays in your dorm for a while, but definitely keeps a closer eye on everyone
If Hibiki didn't die, he couldn't bring himself to resent her, just her criminal scum of a sister
He has to keep the others safe and put an end to the killing game. He's well aware that he's not smart, if he was, he would have been able to save you
But he's strong. He's pushed himself past his limits before and he's not afraid to do it now.
He’ll protect everyone because it's what you would have wanted
That's the only thought keeping him sane
Shinji Kasai:
Also in shock when he sees your body
You were....there...(and there, and there-)
He’s seen a lot of gruesome sights of people who had terrible burns (Including himself, which you always reassured him over) but this was…
He starts to cry right there, as Yuki and Sora rush to comfort him
He can’t bring himself to investigate your corpse or your room, instead talking to everyone about their alibis
This whole time, he was saying that the people in void were friends and probably had some kind of reason for doing this, but…
He’s not sure anymore.
What kind of monster would put you through something so horrid?
When he finds out that it’s Kanade, he nearly breaks his podium
He’d never hit a girl, even if she is a literal demon spawn, but he’ll still yell at her for what she did to you
He can’t forgive her, turning his back on her and not even bothering to watch the execution
He stayed in his room for a few days, barely opening the door to anyone except Yuki
He is actually nicer to Hibiki, and even helps train and comfort her with all she’s been through
but there’s there a part of him that can’t help but think about what would’ve happen if he done this sooner, if he would have met your fate
The thought makes his stomach churn
Hajime Makunouchi:
Falls to his knees upon seeing the body
He nearly vomits at the way the face on your decapitated head was twisted in terror and your limbs were contorted as if you were nothing more than a doll
Hajime doesn’t feel angry, he just feels… sad.
Abandoned…once again.
He finds himself sobbing, unable to stop
He just felt so alone, but he told himself not to blame you, you hadn’t left him, not on purpose
He can’t investigate… he just can’t…
Ironic, that the strongest person in the class never felt so weak
Another part of him feels guilty, of all those times he talked you into training, into eating healthier foods… what was the point of all that when you were going to die so young?
He can’t say anything to Kanade, he can just glare at her through his sunglasses, his void eyes coming to life
He watches her execution, but he can’t bring himself to smile or feel happy
It just makes him feel….empty
He actively avoids Hibiki, but he’ll try not to treat her any differently
He confronts Nikei about turning against Mikado
Syobai Hashimoto:
Syobai wasn't attached to a lot and he rarely let anyone get close to him
But he made an exception for you
That's what you were, the exception
He was never loved by anyone in his life
Except you
He never cared about anything other than money and his own survival
Except you
He never fell in love with someone before
Except you
He never felt such sadness and grief when seeing a corpse
Except you.
The moment he saw your corpse, he felt a sharp pain in his chest, a pain unlike any he had felt before
Followed by a tsunami of emotions that were running wild
He forced them all down, much harder to do than ever and investigated your body
He found the culprit easily, charging Kanade with his knife almost immediately
She was quick but not quick enough, he left her within an inch of her life while Hibiki screamed and cried
He used his own medical knowledge to keep her alive for the trial, no matter how hard he wanted to end her right there
He smiled when she was voted, everyone understanding Syobai's actions
He doesn’t care about Kanade's backstory, he hates her for killing you, that's it
He won't hurt Hibiki, knowing Kanade would probably like that, but he glares at her anytime she's in the room with him
Yuri Kagarin:
He claimed it was a male the whole trial, only a male would be capable of doing this to you
When he found out it was sweet Kanade, his views shattered
"W-Why...?" That’s all he can ask, and when she explains, he wishes he kept quiet
You were gruesomely murdered because of your kindness, and how you befriended and comforted a scared and paranoid girl
Kanade was a demon through and through who took pleasure causing pain in others
Only then did he realize what you were always trying to say, about all males not always being bad, funny how the message only got through when he learned the opposite
If Hibiki isn't executed alongside her, he wouldn't ever directly blame her for the person her sister was
But he'll never be able to look at her without thinking of the monster who killed you
Mikado Sannoji:
This wasn't supposed to happen.
That's the first thought that crosses his mind, out of everyone here, you were supposed to make it to the end
He'd think it was Nikei, being the only void who would dare to do this, but even Nikei is not that psychotic
This was someone that made him look like a saint
He contributes everything during the trial, ignoring when people tell him to be quiet
They don't get to tell him that, not after his S/o was dead
When he learns of Kanade, he feels angry, at both her and himself
He could have figured Kanade's past out if he had just dug a little deeper...
He lightly avoids Hibiki, but doesn't make much of an effort to push her away,
Not like anyone else besides you would ever willingly talk to him
Nikei Yomiuri:
God damn it...
Why?!
Rage. He can only feel raw unhindered rage when he sees your mutilated corpse
The whole trial, he thought Mikado was the only bastard messed up enough to do this, there's no way anyone in void would do this to him
To kill the one thing he had left
His leadership, his power, his luck (the whole reason he was pressured into creating this messed up game)
And now he lost you, the one thing he achieved without the use of his remaining luck
And now you were gone in one of the most messed up ways possible
He demands Kanade's reasons for doing this to you, and only feels more disgusted when he finds out
He hopes she burns in hell
He can't look at Hibiki without his void eyes flaring and his face being consumed by undeniable rage
He lashes out at her a few times, but he doesn't care
He uses the rest of the space in his notepad to write about you
He's not sure if your dead in the real world, but if you were, then he wanted some way for the world to know the kind of person you are
Because he knows for a fact that he's not making it out of here alive
He just hopes he can bring Mikado down with him
