I will write this thought about Veganism and Classism in the USA in another post so as to not derail the other thread:
There are comments in the notes that say meat is only cheaper than plant based foods because of subsidies artificially lowering the price of meat in the United States. This is...part of the story but not all of it.
For my animal agriculture lab we went to a butcher shop and watched the butcher cut up a pig into various cuts of meat. I have had to study quite a bit about the meat industry in that class. This has been the first time I fully realized how strongly the meat on a single animal is divided up by socioeconomic class.
Like yes, meat cumulatively takes more natural resources to create and thus should be more expensive, but once that animal is cut apart, it is divided up between rich and poor based on how good to eat the parts are. I was really shocked at watching this process and seeing just how clean and crisp an indicator of class this is.
Specifically, the types of meat I'm most familiar with are traditionally "waste" parts left over once the desirable parts are gone. For example, beef brisket is the dangly, floppy bit on the front of a cow's neck. Pork spareribs are the part of the ribcage that's barely got anything on it.
And that stuff is a tier above the "meat" that is most of what poor people eat: sausage, hot dogs, bologna, other heavily processed meat products that are essentially made up of all the scraps from the carcass that can't go into the "cuts" of meat. Where my mom comes from in North Carolina, you can buy "livermush" which is a processed meat product made up of a mixture of liver and a bunch of random body parts ground up and congealed together. There's also "head cheese" (made of parts of the pig's head) and pickled pigs' feet and chitlin's (that's made of intestines iirc) and cracklin's (basically crispy fried pig skin) and probably a bunch of stuff i'm forgetting. A lot of traditional Southern cooking uses basically scraps of animal ingredients to stretch across multiple meals, like putting pork fat in beans or saving bacon grease for gravy or the like.
So another dysfunctional thing about our food system, is that instead of people of each socioeconomic class eating a certain number of animals, every individual animal is basically divided up along class lines, with the poorest people eating the scraps no one else will eat (oftentimes heavily processed in a way that makes it incredibly unhealthy).
Even the 70% lean ground beef is made by injecting extra leftover fat back into the ground-up meat because the extra fat is undesirable on the "better" cuts. (Gross!)
I've made, or eaten, many a recipe where the only thing that makes it non-vegan is the chicken broth. Chicken broth, just leftover chicken bones and cartilage rendered and boiled down in water? How much is that "driving demand" for meat, when it's basically a byproduct?
That class really made me twist my brain around about the idea of abstaining from animal products as a way to deprive the industry of profits. Nobody eats "X number of cows, pigs, chickens in a lifetime" because depending on the socioeconomic class, they're eating different parts of the animal, splitting it with someone richer or poorer than they are. If a bunch of people who only ate processed meats anyway abstained, that wouldn't equal "saving" X number of animals, it would just mean the scraps and byproducts from a bunch of people's steaks or pork chops would have something different happen to them.
The other major relevant conclusion I got from that class, was that animal agriculture is so dominant because of monoculture. People think it's animal agriculture vs. plant agriculture (or plants used for human consumption vs. using them to feed livestock), but from capitalism's point of view, feeding animals corn is just another way to use corn to generate profits.
People think we could feed the world by using the grain fed to animals to feed humans, but...the grain fed to animals, is not actually a viable diet for the human population, because it's literally just corn and soybean. Like animal agriculture is used to give some semblance of variety to the consumer's diet in a system that is almost totally dominated by like 3 monocrops.
Do y'all have any idea how much of the American diet is just corn?!?! Corn starch, corn syrup, corn this, corn that, processed into the appearance of variety. And chickens and pigs are just another way to process corn. That's basically why we have them, because they can eat our corn. It's a total disaster.
And it's even worse because almost all the USA's plant foods that aren't the giant industrial monocrops maintained by pesticides and machines, are harvested and cared for by undocumented migrant workers that get abused and mistreated and can't say anything because their boss will tattle on them to ICE.

Man.........it's almost like....a Supreme Being.....with ultimate knowledge, superior designing capabilities, who could see the end from the beginning, and has total capability to not only, CREATE such a masterpiece of ecological functions, but can also regulate it in order to keep it functioning, to provide what he said he would provide, a habitation for this whole other engineering marvel that he created. Thank you LORD. And this video is just a single example among a multitude of examples.
Look, get mad about all the climate change lies if you want. Get mad at the regulations that are being forced on us in sight of the blatant hypocrisy by those pushing it on us. If that's where you want to plant your flag, have fun.
But some of yall are going to see the bigger picture. This environment worship, mother earth goddess nonsense, the idea that we are "one with nature" and we have to sacrifice everything to save it, this is Pantheism. It is not new by any means, look it up. And to the elites, it isn't about saving the earth, it is about worshipping gods, and not GOD. They are leading the population to THEIR gods, and not Jesus Christ, who by all things were created.
We don't know exactly how they are going to do it, but that isn't what is important. What is important is that you understand they are trying to hide the truth of Jesus Christ to you. That is where you need to get to first. Realize he is the truth and let him in, and you are going to start seeing so much of the deceptions. And it won't matter what they do, or how they do it, because you will be saved and under the blood of Christ.
Have I told you lately that every conspiracy theory goes back to God vs the devil? Because it does.

Who Are You Meant To Be?
Hi there! Remember to take what resonates and leave what does not. This reading does not supplement seeking professional help.
Take your time when choosing your pile. Ask yourself the question and choose the picture that you can’t stop looking at. Listen to your intuition.
Patreon Link
Ko-Fi Donations This is a Patreon Reading for both tiers.
The extended reading includes:
Who are you meant to be?
What is stopping you from progressing?
Advice
Pile l:
Who are you Currently? (Tarot: Page of Cups, 2 of Cups, King of Wands, The Wheel, 3 of Wands, The Magician) This pile feels like my go-getters pile. Whenever you want something you will stop at nothing to go out and get it. You have a lot of fire and water in your pile of cards meaning you are empathetic, caring, sensitive, and loving. You are a natural giver, wanting the best for those around you, and love to see the best in people even when they show you their worst. I think some of you this is your downfall a little bit. Maybe you like to ignore the red flags and bare your soul for people who wouldn’t do the same for you. You are also a wanderer and explorer, always wanting to know more about the world, your passions, those you care, for, just anything you have a curiosity for you want to know more. Maybe you’re even a huge daydreamer and for some of this can also be your downfall. It gives me 500 days of summer in the scene where Tom has his fantasy in his head of how he wants things to go vs how things actually go and is crushed even though he knew his fantasy was a slim shot he still felt it could have happened. Extended Reading on Patreon (Who are you meant to be? What is stopping you from progressing? & Advice)
Pile ll:
Who are you Currently? (The Priestess, 5 of Pentacles, Queen of Swords, 9 of Pentacles, 7 of Cups (reversed))
Pile ll I just want to give you a big hug because you are the type of person who doesn’t fully believe in themselves. Some of you feel that you don’t even deserve nice or great things. For some of you, I feel someone like a toxic family member, friend, or ex-partner planted these thoughts in your head while for others I feel you slowly started to develop these thoughts yourself. The scene in Black Swan where the mom says “What happened to my sweet girl? And Natalie Portman’s character says “She’s gone.” For those who resonate with this life has hardened you. Maybe you used to be optimistic about life but life and those you met along the way really did a number on you. Some of you may even not see the beauty in life anymore or even the potential that you may have because you are just so low in the dumps. Some of you may even deal with severe depression and anxiety. For some of you, it's passed down, for others it's due to your circumstances like being unemployed, lacking money to live life without constantly surviving, etc. Please be easy and nice to yourself, life may be hard but that doesn’t mean you make it harder by giving up on yourself and life. Remember you are not your circumstances, mental illness, or what people think of you. Your current situation is just a pit stop, not a life sentence.
Extended Reading on Patreon (Who are you meant to be? What is stopping you from progressing? & Advice)
Pile lll:
Who are you Currently? (6 of Swords (reversed), Hanged Man (reversed), 8 of Swords, The Hierophant, 2 of Pentacles)
Some of you may be drawn to pile number ll, only a few of you but pile lll you feel trapped. Stuck as if you don’t know who you are, where to go or be in life. Some of your are possibly afraid to be your authentic self maybe.I feel some of you may have chosen the pile in another reading I did a week or two back where I slightly spoke on a similar issue. Some of you may also be drawn to pile number l as well because I see people pleasing as well amongst a few of you but overall, what I feel currently for you is you aren’t sure who you are. You remind me of this video I once saw about how people are out here with personalities from the internet because they can’t think for themselves, so they follow the masses in hopes of stumbling into something and I get that feeling for you pile ll. You aren’t sure who you are, what you want to do with your life, where you want to go, what kind of people you want around you all you know is that where you are currently isn’t what you want anymore. It reminds me of the SpongeBob meme where that fish goes through life living day by day the same routine in and out just miserable because they lack passion or some sort of direction. For those who don’t know what I am referring to here’s a link to a YouTube clip of the meme http://tinyurl.com/2jutee6y . Maybe some of you are going through the motions of life unsure of how to live because you follow the influences of TikTok, friends, and family, but I feel some of you are slowly starting to see that not even the material you soak in and people around you are actually living or know what the f*ck they are doing or want in their own lives. They are just sheep following the machine to the slaughterhouse because they feel it’s what they are supposed to do.
Extended Reading on Patreon (Who are you meant to be? What is stopping you from progressing? & Advice)
Thanks for checking out my reading. I appreciate all of you, until the next reading.

Dungeon Meshi Naruto founders AU
I want either Madara or Izuna as Falin. Thematically I think Izuna would fit best, but I kind of just wanna see chimera Madara more than Izuna. Also like, smthn smthn Madara's falcons smthn smthn bird boy,,,
Very torn between Tobirama being stand in for Marcille or for Thistle. Bc like, dungeon lord Tobirama with his chimera Madara goes so hard
Then again it's not like I have to do a 1 to 1 crossover, so. We can totally just work off of the setting and basic premise of "Oh no one of the party members got got by the dungeon and we have to go back for them" then do our own thing from there
OK SO DUNGEON MESHI AU WERE DOING THIS FR NOW LETS GO
(Note; Ive only watched the anime, so while I have seen a lot of different spoilers for the manga my knowledge plot wise p much ends w season 1)
The party;
Elf Hashirama as healer and plant magic guy
Half elf Tobirama as a heavy hitting mage
Tallman Madara on the physical front as their tank
Tallman Izuna as their secondary physical fighter who plays as a mixed support / dmg depending on the situation and what Madara needs most atm
Touka, undecided on race, similar dmg + support build to Izuna, also dabbles in rogue stuff
Hikaku, also undecided on race, party rogue / jack of all trades and armed with a crossbow
Ok so, Madara gets eaten by a red dragon right as one of the partys magic users (Hashi and Tobi) are using that return spell to go back to the surface
They wake up and Izuna is immediatley like "What the fuck happened to my brother"
Argument ensues! Hashirama and Izuna want to go back for Madara in the very rare case that he may be revivable. Tobirama and Touka thinks he's fucked and they should cut their losses here. Hikaku is somewhere between both parties but his loyalty to Madara wins out and he sides with Hashi and Izuna despite internally agreeing w Tobirama and Touka that it's probably too late.
They go back in and adventures happen!!
The whole time they're going down, Tobirama is grumbling about Madara and how this is doomed and the man is probably dead and blah blah blah. Finally Izuna snaps and yells at him ab why he's even here then, and Tobirama honestly doesn't even know why himself. He just goes dead quiet and has no real response, which satisfies Izuna
Queue internal conflict on Tobirama's part, who largley stops complaining ab their adventure from here on out as he asks himself that same question, then decides to fully commit to the party's goal.
Anyways, continuing on and !!! They find Madara !!! Only oh no he's a pile of fuckin bones!!
Tobirama, again, now fully committed to this shit, is like "I did NOT come this fucking far to turn back now" and breaks out the black magic.
P much everyone is on board with this except maybe Hashirama. Maybe we can have some fun plays with how he's like all about life and nature and ooo leafy elf man or whatever vs Tobirama's blasphemy against life itself necromancy jam
So they bring Madara back with the dragon meet and the power of Tobirama's undying spite, yay !!!
Madara is very confused at all of this, and very out of it. By the time he's started to really come back to himself dinner is over and they're all quietly laying in their bedrolls
I want a quiet confrontation between Madara and Tobirama when everyone's gone to bed. Madara needs some air and finds Tobirama by the seals used to bring him back to life. Madara says that it's not that he's ungrateful, but he is very, very confused at why Tobirama did this. Not only breaking several taboos and laws but doing it for him. Madara didn't even think Tobirama liked him, so why...?
Tobirama scoffs and says not to flatter himself, this was a choice he made for himself, not Madara
They hold very prolonged, silent eye contact surrounded by the blood and bones of the dragon. It's kind of gay.
Izuna appears to break up the staring competition with a well timed "What the fuck are you guys doing" (they'll just have to resume the staring contest later)
They go back to bed fr this time but just like in canon, Madara is woken up by the call of the dungeon master
Enter the mad mage; Mito
Instead of being the brother of the king of the golden kingdom she was instead the wife.
Oh right and the king was a little guy you may know of by the name Ashura. Which brings us a new oh no bc Hashirama is totally that guy's reincarnation and the second Mito lays eyes on him she loses it
But that's not for a little bit. Bc in this first confrontation, Hashirama gets to be conviniently absent till after Mito leaves (and Mito can only recognize him if she sees him in person bc I say so)
So Mito and Tobirama have a super cool mage battle as Izuna tries to shake a non responsive Madara back to himself. Good attempt, doesn't work tho sorry Izuna
Stuff happens, Madara and Mito fuck off, and the party is left back at square 1.
Madaraless :(
So the adventure continues!!
We get Kagami as Izutsumi to be our parties ninja cat boy (Kagami my beloved son,,) which is also extra fun if we wanna play into the parallels of Marcille trying to mom/big sister Izutsumi and Tobirama doing the same to Kagami (Kagami is soaking in the attention he is having a great time rn)
Stuff happens, chimera Madara appears, more adventures happen blah blah blah
Tobirama becomes new dungeon lord and bc I have no idea what goes on from dungeon meshi canon from there I'm just gonna leave that here.
Dungeon lord Tobirama and his pet chimera Madara he's trying to return human tho, that fucks so hard. Even once Madara is human again he still has all those cute feathers like Falin which I think suits him. When he gets all flaily and embaressaed now his feathers can fluff up with his hair too
Anyways, alternative kind of bad end where Izuna was the one who got turned into a chimera and we get definatley not brainwashed guys I promise toxic hashiizumito (Mito is living her best life with her reincarnated Not Kidnapped husband and Not Brainwashed pet chimera)
#birds fic talk#naruto#dungeon meshi#delicious in dungeon#uchiha madara#senju tobirama#senju hashirama#uchiha hikaku#senju touka#uzumaki mito#mito uzumaki#madara uchiha#tobirama senju#izuna uchiha#hashirama uchiha#hashimito#tobimada#mdtb#tbmd#madatobi#crossover#dungeon meshi au#tobirama#madara#uchiha kagami

How I Made My Altar
Creating an altar is something that varies a lot by tradition, but this is a guide on how i personally made and maintain mine. Hopefully this is helpful to someone!
Step One- Planning and Sourcing
In my tradition, there isn't necessarily a huge difference in making personal vs deity altars. As I've heard several of my teachers say- an altar is the place in your home where magic is always welcome. if you wish to add to that by including deities that are always welcome or honored in that space, great! if a deity does request their own specific altar, no problem!
The more complicated aspect for me, is that i feel deeply i must be in right relationship with the items on my altar. Part of this is everything being ethically sourced. All things on this table were either found by me, purchased from a small local business I trust, or received as a gift. These items have been accumulated over the last 5 years of my practice. If you are just starting out and feel as i do about sourcing, you might have a lot of arts and crafts projects ahead.
What aspects of your practice you feel are necessary to represent on your altar? Should you have artwork? Plants? Symbols or sigils?
What work will be done at your altar and which tools should be there? Are you doing meditation that requires a nice smelling herb or oil? Will you be doing spells on it that require big empty space?
Step Two- Find or Make Materials
My recommendation if you don't have the budget to buy a specific dedicated table/ shelf for your altar is to clear a space where you feel the most presence of magic in your life. My earliest altars were cleared off spots on bookshelves and in the kitchen.
Now that you have a list of themes or specific items you want on your altar, go on a nature walk and find things that call to you. Whenever I go to new or interesting places, I keep my eyes peeled for things that might be useful in my practice. Don't take too much, and ask permission from the land before leaving with anything. If the item feels oddly heavy as you walk away with it- give it back.
Step Three- Assemble
The main thing i do at my altar is meditate and pray to deities. Because i view this space as my gods' front door, i care a lot about it looking aesthetically pleasing. I am not part of a tradition where it matters what things go on the left or right, the elements are not associated with cardinal directions, and deities aren't really unsatisfied sharing an altar with each other (even if they may not get along in some lore). Because of this, i just lay things out intuitively, aiming for some symmetry. I also prefer to do spells outdoors, so my altar doesn't need to have a workable space beyond a nice spot to charge things.
Do I feel the need for my altar to have directional correspondences?
Is it important to me to optimize aesthetics?
I work a lot with the seasons, and this is meant to have some nice summertime vibes. With the harvest season coming up, i'll definitely redecorate it.
If anyone has questions please let me know
go n-éirí leat! good luck!

AU Sonic Smackdown- Round 3, Right Side
Click to see full size image
Gaia Born AU belongs to @juliemultiverse (art by @thefantasylife)
Words Hurt AU belongs to @oddogoblino
Learn more about them under the cut!
Gaia Born AU-
Sonic is like a big gold retriever. He’s happy to make friends where ever he goes. He was made on the ARK but was immaturely taken out of his incubation tank as an infant. He was raised by his brother tails on bygone island before they moved 5 years later.
His abilities include, Shadow Melding, Super strength, elastic arms and has the ability to sense others emotions.
Words Hurt AU-
In this au, Earth is decaying, the planet slowly losing its ability to sustain life due to mankind’s lack of care to it. To try and survive, they attempted to move people to planet mobius as it held similar conditions as earth. The mobians at first welcomed them happily, happy to help those in need. Eventually, the humans began trying to repeat their old mistakes and began digging into mobius and setting up machines to harvest from it to try and save Earth. The planet didn’t handle this as well as earth once did, machines quickly backfiring and any mobians nearby during the incidents quickly falling ill. That’s how the infections started.
Sonic’s parents were one of the few first mobians infected, having lost them due to them going into the second form of the illness that’s caused from starvation. They’d been “quarantined” and left without food or an energy source for too long. He was only a toddler when this happened. He’s now part of Vanilla’s secret organization that helps infected mobians survive outside of the homes they’d been kicked out of due to fear. Sonic himself works as a secret delivery boy and tends to travel to make sure infected mobians have access to food and water and even just simple pleasantries like games and toys. He met Tails as a 4 yr old who’d been born from infected parents, taking care of him when they weren’t. Currently Sonic is 17 and Tails is 8.
Sonic is mostly his same ole usual self except he’s a lot less social. He doesn’t talk to anyone except for Tails, Vanilla, and sometimes Cream. He was naturally born with his super speed but keeps it hidden due to not wanting to be mistaken as an infected. He still has to fight Eggman as the mad doctor tries to manipulate both uninfected and infected mobians’ fears and resentment toward each other. He has a civilian disguise named Nicky so no one recognizes him as the superspeedy hero. He’s a bit more easily agitated but only because he doesn’t get enough sleep with his work.
Sonic’s right eye is always tearing up, not because he’s emotional but because of repeated exposure to infectious spores. The spores can only infect others if inhaled or through exposed open wounds. Hes naturally immune to the illness, but he doesn’t know that, and wouldn’t ever take chances on it. Whenever he gets injured, he disinfects the wound immediately and patches it up like others would in hopes to avoid spore-infection.
Infected mobians tend to live in abandoned spaces that their cities and towns assigned for them to live. Infected mobians feed off energy, whether that be electricity, emotions, powerful items, etc, but can also eat normal foods just fine. They need normal food to keep sane and prevent them from going into the second form that attacks anything with energy in it. Only the second form can infect others directly, making it the most dangerous and is an automatic kill-on-sight if seen. No one knows yet if you can change infected back to normal after they’ve transformed. Vanilla takes care of transformed infected when Sonic reports the incidents.
Mobians aren’t the only things infected, plant and wildlife have been mutated by the illness aswell. The symptoms of the infection is body mutations, a blue tongue, and increased hunger and thirst. Mobians born from infected parents can’t go into the second form but they become feral without food. Bites from hostile born-infected mobians are less likely to spread the infection but it isn’t impossible.

The Eddie of It All
Random wrestling thought of the day #268 (and sorry in advance for all the run on sentences and parentheses): What if when Eddie Kingston finally comes back, he’s the one to take the belt off of Moxley?
Think about it - remember how him and Jon went through their divorce era when the BCC fully formed? Well this is that situation dialed to 11, so we all know Eddie’s going to be big mad about it.
Eddie hates hates hates Claudio with the passion of a thousand burning suns. And while him and Bryan definitely aren’t besties braiding each other’s hair, there seems to be a begrudging… well I won’t go so far as to say respect but something less hate filled between the two. Which means it’s doubtful Eddie’s happy about the plastic bag incidents. Especially since he's wanted to do it for a while now but TK kept vetoing it.
Now to add salt to the wound, Moxley Crüe is running around causing bodily, potentially career ending harm to people. Eddie is currently rehabbing and there were rumors that this injury would end his own career. The rumors may be hogwash but there had to have been a moment, maybe only briefly, where Eddie was worried. How do you think he reacted to seeing Moxley serve up Chuck Taylor to Claudio like that? Knowing someone Eddie has called his brother ordered a hit (simply because he knew this would hit Orange Cassidy hard) and possibly ended another wrestler’s in-ring career? What do you think that does to the psyche of a dude that's already known for being a hothead.
vimeo
So this means that: his work husband has formed a hit squad with his arch nemesis and they have vowed to run through anyone who disagrees with them. Jon has already (literally) turned his back on Eddie once for Claudio. The above clip I edited from the AEW Timelines: Eddie Kingston vs Claudio Castagnoli video (highly recommend watching the full thing) illustrates exactly how far Jon went against Eddie for the sake of the BCC (and, by extension, for Claudio). This also means that if Eddie is against what Moxley is doing, it's very likely he will be the next target.
Except for PAC (and obviously Marina), Eddie has beaten every single member of Moxley Crüe. So while he doesn't have quite the perfect record as Orange, he's clearly up to the task of fending them off. And unlike OC, Eddie has gotten through to Jon in the past. If anyone can put that man's head on straight (besides Renee, who I am sure is permanently planted at HR demanding they do something because she is SO DONE with literally everyone), it's Eddie. That belt has become a symbol in all of this. If Eddie can successfully pry it out of that briefcase Marina wields like Mjölnir, it may start a domino effect.
At this stage, let's be honest, the rest of the locker room is not equipped to handle what Moxley Crüe is laying down. They couldn't even figure out that they should probably cover more than one arena entrance last week. Meanwhile, Jon is singularly focused on his scorched earth mission. He has a battle plan and a lethal army behind him. Do you really think The Scooby Gang (that is already fighting amongst themselves... mad props to Evil Uno for reminding everyone they should be united though) can effectively fight this natural disaster masquerading as a wrestling faction?
Jon has already wrought such glorious... sorry terrible violence against everyone in his way. He has to be stopped (although I personally will always gleefully watch Moxley Crüe wreak unholy havoc on everyone) and what better person than his brother from another mother? Who also happens to love violence just as much as Moxley?
If you thought Divorce Era 1 got ugly, you might want to avert your eyes from Divorce Era 2: Electric Boogaloo.

do you have any theories to what the plot for brothership will be?
I do!
So first of all, we know the plot will start in the Mushroom Kingdom while the brothers are living their life (and for Luigi that means getting in trouble)
Until a portal appears from their hand holding after Mario rescues Luigi.
Now, this is pure speculation based on the preview and a split second moment of the video, but I suspect that while Nintendo clearly doesn't want to rely too much on Illumination for inspiration, the movie might have inspired a scene in which Mario and Luigi try to hold on each other while going through the warp zone portal, but are separated, with Mario taking around his surroundings.
We know that the Shipshape will play a key role in the adventure: it's very likely it serves as the main hub, going from island to island and catapulting the Bros from its canon.
Since it seems to be the place where they meet their main allies (Connie and Snoutlet), it'll probably be their tutorial area : as such, I expect Mario to be temporarily separated from Luigi at first, so the player learns to control Mario alone, before he soon finds Luigi (and the player learns to control both brothers at once).
I don't expect an extremely convoluted plot, this is a Mario game after all. However, Mario & Luigi games are RPGs, which means a lot more dialogues and exploration than the mainline games. The M&L games also like to feature some twists here and there, and a rather clever writing despite their simplish stories.
So far, the bad guys seem to be the Extension Corps guys, the Gorumbla and that skull guy in a top hat, who seems in a position of power compared to the other three. Gorumbla seems to stand out in the theme compared to the others, so I expect he's more of a "you disturbed me in my nap and I'm ANGRY" boss than a real antagonist.
I expect a "Revolution" type of story : the electric-style habitants of the island live in harmony, until a group of jerks decide their way was the only one to follow and started bullying around the locals. Mario & Luigi get roped into the conflict as most of the habitants aren't fighters (and that by virtue of fighting back against bullies, they paint a big target on their back)
I also expect a bit of Technology vs Nature conflict, with the bad guys being all about technology over everything while the good guys are more nuanced and acknowledge the importance of nature in their life.
Top Hat Guy still puzzles me. What is his goal? He doesn't look like most of the electric-themed characters, what is his common goal with them?
Peach's appearance is very intriguing to me. Recently, Nintendo has given her more proactive roles (playable in the Rabbids RPGs, SMB Wonder, the main role in Showtime, an active role in the movie...) and I hope they keep with this trend of leaving behind her damsel in distress past.
The one time we see her in the trailer, she's with several local characters (all electric-coded, like Connie, Snoutlet and the Exension Corps) and Dorrie. A thing that stands out to me is that they all wear an orange piece of clothing, including Peach. It leads me to believe they're a crew or squad, and that Peach, once sucked into this place like the Bros, decided to stick with them while Mario and Luigi stuck on the Shipshape. Or maybe they're all part of the Shipshape crew, and rescued Peach (or the opposite). In any case, I expect Peach to have her own side of the adventure until she's needed with the Bros.
Is there a link with Connie's orange symbol on her hat? Although it looks more like a seed, to tie with her theme of tree-ship and growing plants.
Bowser is a full enigma so far. His moment in the trailer only shows him shooting at something, and the text on the website is ambivalent on whether he'll be a friend or a foe. I hope for the former, the Bros and Peach teaming up with Bowser against a common foe. But while the M&L games love to give Bowser depth and moments of allyship with our heroes (BIS, SS), they also insist on how Bowser is a bad guy after his own goals (DT, PiT).
And now for the places of the game they might visit :
First Island : with the red grass area to gently ease the player into a new place, the cliff providing the first environnemental challenges, and the first boss being a big brute with easy patterns to counter.
Obligatory Fire and/or Ice Island :
Flower/Nature Island, with one of the bosses being the monster plants
I'm running out of room for picture, but I suspect there will be a High Tech Island, with the big city (and probably one of the first confrontations with the main bad guys)
I don't know how accurate my predictions will be, we still don't have much; but this is how I see things going so far!

I am firmly of the opinion that the idea behind the New Seven Hearts in Kingdom Hearts 3 makes perfect sense and is entirely consistent with the themes of the narrative. In a series that consistently hammers in the message that light and darkness cannot exist without each other and must ideally be in balance, and how there is always darkness in every heart, the idea that there are at least seven people at a time who are naturally devoid of any darkness whatsoever throughout their entire lives from birth to death sticks out as contradictory to this messaging.
So the idea that it’s a temporary position that’s passed on from person to person without requiring the previous holder to die first makes a ton of sense in light of the symbolism behind what light and darkness represent that I’ve talked about multiple times in my Constructing Kingdoms videos: Light in KH fundamentally represents focus on others and darkness represents focus on yourself, with the conflict between the two representing conflicts like selfless vs selfishness, community vs isolation, conformity vs individuality, etc.
In that context, the idea that being a heart of pure light is a temporary state works as a potential metaphor for how even the most selfless people who are constantly doing things to help others around them still naturally have to take time to take care of their own needs – physically, mentally, and emotionally – or else they’ll ultimately burn out. (There are also a few meta elements when you factor in the workings of the KH universe when it comes to the Disney worlds, but I’ll save those for later so i don't get distracted lol).
However...
I do think it's a missed opportunity that we were introduced to the idea through the Organization going after new Princesses in KH3, rather than through BBS dropping the bombshell that Minnie was a PoH in the pre-KH1 era.
Think about it.
In her KH2 escort mission she exclusively light-based magic, and her attempt to seal off the Disney Castle audience chamber demonstrates a knowledge of how to ward off darkness, similar to how six of the Seven Princesses in KH1 were able to hold back the darkness coming out of the Final Keyhole using their own power until Sora returned to seal the Keyhole. Her sealing of the audience chamber not being effective at keeping out Heartless could even be retroactively explained by her Light magic being weaker after she gave up her PoH power.
A single mention of Minnie being a PoH in the BBS era would be enough to plant the possibility in players’ minds of more Princesses outside of the 7 we’d already seen without taking away screentime and narrative focus from the Wayfinder trio’s story.
Nomura has talked about how he likes giving players things to think about and speculate over when it comes to the story in the games that he's been involved in, and the fact that Minnie is obviously still alive in the present-day narrative would’ve given fans tons of questions to speculate over as we waited for KH3:
Did this mean that Princesses can pass on their pure light status without dying the way that similar mantles commonly work in a lot of fantasy media? Or is she still a PoH in the present day and there were always more than just the seven that Maleficent needed to open the door to Kingdom Hearts in KH1?
Would we be seeing new Princesses in KH3? And if so, would it be a new set of seven, or will some of the PoH we know be keeping their positions a little longer?
If we do get new Princesses in KH3, would we get to see the transition happen or would it just happen off-screen between games? Did the ones who passed their mantle on already do so and we just didn’t know it?
Would any of the new Official Disney Princesses be Princesses of Heart if or when they appeared in KH? If so, which ones?
If not the new Official Princesses, what about Mulan, Ariel, Tinkerbell, or Esmeralda – the few Official Princesses (the latter two of which only formerly) – to appear in KH but not be a PoH? Would any of them become one in the future? Or were they former ones who had already passed on their mantles like Minnie had?
And since Alice’s inclusion in KH1 means that being an Official Disney Princess is not a prerequisite for PoH status, what other iconic female characters from Disney properties – both those that had already shown up in KH and those who had yet to appear – might be candidates for former or future PoH?
Imagine how excited people would've been if Larxene's line in the KH3 trailers about Elsa being one of the New Seven Hearts was confirmation of theories that the fandom had been debating back and forth over for almost a decade, rather than introducing a whole new concept that most fans had never thought of before.

please share your goth jeeves thoughts i am very interested
Goth Jeeves thoughts let’s go!!
I’ll start with my least coherent and go towards my most
Honorable mention: music is tough. The first real instance of goth music came in the 50’s and in the one story that took place in the 50’s we hear no mention of music. However, Jeeves is not a fan of popular music or showtunes and shows preference for classical music. Not goth, per se, but Bach and Beethoven do kinda have some goth-y vibes.
First, he’s very into serious literature and poetry. Which isn’t saying much but gothic poetry and literature was very prominent in forming the subculture and it sort of seems like the stuff that Jeeves would be into. He likes philosophy and lots of gothic literature has overarching philosophical thought on the nature of good and evil, man vs creator, the nature of death and mourning. And for poetry, the stuff he quotes in Joy in the Morning makes me feel like he’d enjoy Edgar Allan Poe, especially his more romantic stuff like Annabelle Lee and The Raven
“ "It is indeed, sir. I always feel that nothing is so soothing as a walk in a garden at night."
"Ha!"
"The cool air. The scent of growing things.
That is
tobacco plant which you can smell, sir."
"Is it?"
"The stars, sir."
"Stars?"
"Yes, sir."
"What about them?"
directing your attention to them, sir.
Look how the foor of heaven is thick inlaid with patines of bright gold."
"Jeeves
"There's not the smallest orb which thou beholdest, sir, but in his motion like an angel sings, still guiring to tho young-eyed cherubims."
"Jeeves-
"Such harmony is in immortal souls. But whilst this muddy vesture of decay doth grossly close it in, we cannot hear it."
"Jeeves-
"Sir?" “ —pages 107 and 108
Second: his fashion! My man does not like colors and while we mostly see him in his uniform, I feel we can make some assumptions based on his non-uniform clothes and the way he tries to dress Bertie. His black, calf length outdoor jacket is such a goth win! Bertie doesn’t own anything like that and we rarely see other domestic staff wear something like that so it’s easy to assume that Jeeves picked that out for himself. He will wear tan, we’ve seen him wear tan clothes coming back from his vacations but that could be because of class status and/or the standards of driving clothes. Because when we do see him on his nights off, he’s still wearing clothes that look like his valeting uniform (black waistcoat, black tie, black jacket, ect). Bertie also mostly wears tan when he’s driving bc it hides the dirt better.
What’s interesting is how he tries to get Bertie to wear dark and subdued colors. Lots of navy, lots of greys. It makes you wonder if that’s how he’d choose to dress if he had the option. Also related to clothing, Jeeves shows an interest in both jewelry and silver in Jeeves and the Feudal Spirit and Jeeves in the Offing, respectively. He was a jeweler apprentice briefly under his cousin. Accessories, especially feminine jewelry and silver, is very goth.
Third: he’s simply a spooky bitch! Season 2 episode 5 he immediately knows a local folktale about a boogeyman called Old Boggy who roams the streets. In a town he doesn’t live in, at night where he cannot access a library. Which leads one to believe that he reads about the folklore about places he and Bertie visit with special focus placed on ghost stories. And in Right Ho, Jeeves he has this whole section.
“'You smile, Jeeves. The thought amuses you?'
‘I beg your pardon, sir. I was thinking of a tale my Uncle Cyril used to tell me as a child. An absurd little story, sir, though I confess that I have always found it droll. According to my Uncle Cyril, two men named Nicholls and Jackson set out to ride to Brighton on a tandem bicycle, and were so unfortunate as to come into collision with a brewer's van. And when the rescue party arrived on the scene of the accident, it was discovered that they had been hurled together with such force that it was impossible to sort them out at all adequately. The keenest eye could not discern which portion of the fragments was Nicholls and which Jackson. So they collected as much as they could, and called it Nixon. I remember laughing very much at that story when I was a child, sir'
I had to pause a moment to master my feelings.
'You did, eh?'
'Yes, sir.'
'You thought it funny?'
'Yes, sir.' “ pages 765 and 766 of the Jeeves and Wooster omnibus.
Smiling?? He laughed very much?? This story stuck with him into adulthood?? So much so that he thought it would be funny to tell Bertie this story moments before Bertie has a late night bike ride?? No matter how you interpret this scene, Jeeves is a morbid and spooky bitch for this. Rip Jeeves, you would have loved watching the Final Destination movies.
My point is that if he could, he would have loved being goth. He’s spooky and morbid, he loves dark, subdued colors, his loves poetry and literature with philosophical themes, he likes silver and jewelry and he likes slower, more subdued music without saccharine and cheery lyrics (let us not forget his disgust while Bertie was singing Sunny Disposish)
Hopefully I didn’t forget anything important but I feel like I’ve covered my bases on this headcanon

How do the natural instincts of ghouls apply once brought to Earth?
okay i hadn't thought about this, but now that i am? ugh, i love it.
so hell is dangerous, and like any other creature in the animal kingdom (including humans), ghouls rely wholly on their instincts to keep them going. some of these instincts are pretty common for most creatures: breed, hunt, find shelter, find companionship.
in the pits, ghouls travel in a clan. a clan being a fancy term for a group of more than 10 ghouls that hunt, live and travel together. this clan can also be a pack, a group of bonded ghouls. while they can sound similar, clan and pack are not the same thing. think of it as being roommates vs. being best friends.
anyways, when a ghoul is summoned to the surface, it can take a while for them to get comfortable. this is not only because of the sudden and unexpected change in scenery and habitat, but also because ghouls tend to be summoned by those who’ve done it before. ghouls, especially those of difference subspecies that don’t interact in the pits frequently, can often act territorial or sometimes even outright aggressive with each other.
outside of this, ghouls summoned to our world have been documented exhibiting some very strange behaviors. hunting, for one. ghouls will often give into the instinct to hunt for animals, or for some of the herbivorous species, forage for plants. similarly to cats, ghouls will often bring each other and even humans they might be fond of, prey. ghouls of the ministry, taking advantage of the forest surrounding the church, will often be seen at night dragging anything from rabbits to deer back to their quarters. this comes from the natural instinct to hoard and collect resources, namely food.
another thing to get used to is modern technology. ghouls are very adaptive, and while they can often pick up the concept of electricity or 21st century tech relatively easily, some things are harder than others. (after dewdrop was first summoned, he was terrified of the sound toasters made for months, for example.)
pack and nesting instincts are the most unique behaviors to carry over from the pits. think about it this way! say you grow up in a very rough environment. you’re constantly on guard both for yourself and your family, never stopping despite your instinct to nurture your loved ones. you spend years doing this. and all of a sudden, you find yourself in a place with an excess of comfort items, little to no real reasons to feel endangered, and new people that you can quickly grow bonds with.
ghouls, when introduced to the surface world, love to nest. the materials usually vary depending on the wants and needs of the ghoul, but that’s to be expected. thanks for asking !! <3

so on a whim I started reading omniscient reader’s viewpoint manhwa
..and got hooked on the story so hard that I easily blasted through all available eps in less than a week. istg they put dr*gs in this thing it’s so good???? 😭
[SPOILER WARNING! big ramble ahead. if you’ve never read it, leave this post. consider checking it out you won’t be able to put it down]
lets get this out of the way first.
RAHHHHHH KIM DOKJA….. KIM DOKJA I LOVE YOU
GUYSSSSS 🥺 LISTEN. HE’S SUCH A GOOD PROTAGONIST. MY TRAUMA BOY. MY DUDE WITH THE POWER TO INFODUMP PEOPLE TO DEATH. YOU SELF-SACRIFICING IDIOT. his cunning intelligence makes him super attractive what can I say, I LOVE smart mcs with ambiguous morality and self sacrificial nature
here’s a big ✨shut your mouth✨ to every character who’s said he’s ugly- get your eyes checked, get a job get away from him (I know it’s because of the fourth wall’s filter it’s not their fault I’m just being silly)
the fourth wall is such a cool power to have. the complexity of how it acts based on his perception of fiction vs reality as the reader …. that’s very interesting and well thought out!!! how it lowkey has a consciousness too and it’s so tied into his mental state makes me want to psychoanalyze this guy even more. probably one of the most unique powers I’ve seen created and explored in a story tbh
I think the entire system of how the world works is really well done in general. constellations watching the apocalyptic bloodbath via livestream and sending donos to their favorite little guys shouldn’t work as well as it does and cracks me up so much 😭 (uriel is the best). I enjoy learning about all the irl different fables, history & mythologies too. plus doing my own research is fun! I did a deep dive through the web to learn about dokkaebi folklore lol I’m having a good time
I also related hard to how dokja read TWSA throughout his life, the story was a companion for him. got choked up bc I reflected on how much my own favorite companion stories for years mean to me. there’s been situations I’ve thought “what would (character) do?” dokja saying stuff like “what would joonghyuk do?” felt like I got called out <3 I’d probably be the same as him if my favorite characters suddenly came to life
anyways yeah I caught up with the manhwa looked online and discovered it comes from an already completed novel with over 500 chapters and the manhwa is barely a third into adapting it though it’s been releasing every week for 4 years. and that it’ll take like 10 more years to finish. I then planted my face in my hands and screamed with despair
I’ll shrivel up waiting to see what happens……………heyyy woahhhh.. whats this light of salvation ? the novel file just completed download on my phone ? that’s crazyy wow I opened it ? im scrolling it right now ? omg I’m telling myself in the mirror “pace yourself, try to space your reading out do NOT read too fast” ?
jokes aside im excited, first I’ll take some time to read back through the earlier chapters for extra context of scenes! >:D after I finish doing that…. pls pray for my self-control to try stretching this for as long as possible. I’m pumped to see what happens next with this demon king part so maybe I’ll read along with the manhwa unless I get too impatient heh
to conclude- I had no idea the fandom of orv was so passionate. while closing my eyes to spoilers, I was looking at beautiful fanart and animatics (watched this one and ascended that’s one of my fav rin songs). I can tell how much you guys love the story, there’s always going to be people like me who get interested so keep it up :D if the fandom does end up reading this, ummm *knocks on the door* hi im new
I will likely talk about it more in the future!! tagging under “#kade reads orv” ! might draw fanart on my art blog too bc brainworms <3 happy reading everyone

LOSERS BATTLES OF WITCHES DUELS - Battle 25: Bria vs Amity Blight
Disclaimer: This is not a popularity contest or which character you prefer, in this tournament, you decide who is stronger/better/smarter/etc. opponent.
information for both opponents under the cut to those who don't know what they can do in their battle:
Bria:
Bria specializes in construction magic without any signs of being interested in other tracks, especially considering she considers them "inferior".
Bria is an absolutely skilled witch who prefers brute strength and talent over anything. She isn't however easy to fool or intimidate. She's daring and adventurous along with being ambitious. She can also be two-faced and deceitful by appearing nice and fair only to drop the facade the moment she has high ground or no interest in playing nice. She may however struggle from PTSD caused by Gus, so while she's not easy to intimidate, she could potentially end up being triggered by events considered "supernatural" or near Gus, or if she feels like losing her powers.
Bria at first rather respects Amity thinking she's just like her, manipulating her friends by pretending to be nice while really controlling them and being otherwise very ruthless. She's rather disappointed to learn that Amity in fact is genuinely this nice and "weak", and she can't fathom how somehow love could make her stronger but no matter, Bria is still willing to put her in the ground as after all, construction magic is "more powerful" than abomination magic as they say.
Bria is not known to possess any palisman so anyone facing her would also not be allowed to wield a palisman to even the score.
Bria's tool in this tournament, independent of whether or not other competitors also possess it is her sword. She can utilise it in combat or to cut through things standing in her way like bushes.
Bria may or may not have galdorstones with her to enhance her magic.
Rock Spike - Bria is capable of creating a rock spike that can be used for offensive purposes. It is also proven to be quite destructive as seen in TTLGR.
Rock Pillar - Bria is capable of creating rock pillars of various lengths and sizes. She's also capable of creating pillars within the pillars she created. Said ability could be used if Bria needs a high ground, for defensive purposes to block attacks, potential transport, or even offensive purposes.
Earth Capture - Bria is capable of encasing her opponents on Earth as she demonstrated in TTLGR when she restrained a Slitherbeast. The move could be considered a finishing blow unless Bria's opponent has enough brute force (and by that, I mean a lot, stronger than Slitherbeast) to burst through her trap. She would usually utilise said ability if she assumes her opponent can't fight back, however.
Link to more of Bria's capabilities here
Amity Blight
Amity Blight naturally specializes in Abomination Magic the most, but she does so capacity in knowing spells of other tracks like Plants and Illusion, but it's very limited.
Amity is a very skilled, talented, cool-headed, and pragmatic fighter. Hardly does she lose composure when battling even strong opponents, displaying plenty of agility and athleticism (as shown in her battle with Hunter and Grom, which is also given considering she was a former captain of the grudgby team at Hexside), and can be both a powerhouse using plenty of strength or a mastermind coming up with tricks on the fly while outsmarting her opponents with her skillset. Very dangerous, and even more so once she puts more passion into her battle. Hardly there are any weak spots or flaws in her battling style, but she can still be overpowered. Abomination Magic in particular feels to be weaker than Construction Magic for example, and it can be rendered useless when dealing in an environment with no mud. Granted Amity holds abomination goo with her so at most, she's going to be weakened. Amity is capable of controlling any slime or mud she comes in contact with.
In this battle, Amity can't use Ghost.
Amity doesn't think highly of Bria as she heard about her stunt from Gus. If there's one thing that Amity can't be mad at Boscha for, is the fact that at least Boscha kept it real and honest that she's a bitch, unlike Bria who's bitch in a sheep's clothing. After growing up with a narcissist pretending to mean well while ruining and controlling her life, Amity certainly is disgusted by Bria's actions even if they aren't of the same magnitude, but because of that along with Amity maturing, she does not invest much thought into Bria's being as a whole but she certainly doesn't feel positive about her and she's not willing to be defeated by her, not a chance in hell. It's also worth noting that Amity has experience facing off and defeating construction coven witches.
Projection Spell - Amity is capable of creating projections of images or historical events similar to how Eda did it in the first episode, as proven in Enchanting Grom Fright when explaining Grom to Luz. The spell however has very little use in the battlefield and at most can be used as a brief distraction.
Voice Change - Amity is capable of briefly changing her voice to sound whoever she wants like to sound. Her real voice however can still be heard through, but it could be used as a brief distraction during Battle Royale or maybe to mess up some verbal spells of other casters (like beast-keepers, though it's hard to tell if it would actually work, or Alador's Abomatons as proven in Reaching Out). I could also picture Amity using this spell specifically to mess with Bria's head for a hot second.
Oath Spell - Amity can make oaths between her opponents as demonstrated in Covention. It all however depends on Amity's manipulation and bargaining skills on what she could force her opponent to oath to.
Thorn Bolt - Amity's only known successful plant spell, but a very potent one. Amity by striking a magic circle to the ground can create a giant pillar made out of thorns that can be either used to knock out people all around her while getting away or be used as an offensive strike at the specific target. It is proven to be quite destructive. She demonstrated it in the flashback during WILW.
Shield Spell - Amity is shown to create a tiny shield out of energy to block attacks, as demonstrated in her training with the twins at the knee. She did this with the wand at the time, but I believe that now that Amity has grown stronger, she can do it fine by herself as of now. The shield isn't particularly big, but it can be very effective against very direct and simple attacks
Barrier Spell - Amity is capable of creating a cage made out of energy around her opponents. The cage is very resistant to physical damage and can also deal damage upon being touched, effectively immobilising its opponents. It can also last pretty long. However the barrier has a flaw in its top being left wide open, so if the caster can use their capabilities to jump above it, the barrier becomes effectively useless.
Fire Ball - Amity is shown to be able to create and shoot fireballs of various sizes (from very small, to medium, to even large ones) at her opponents. Her fire magic can naturally melt away ice and mud/goo (as proven to be effective against SlitherBeast's goo) however her spell could still be blocked. It is Amity's second trademark spell aside from her proficiency in Abomination Magic. She can also use this spell to just raise the temperature or create combustion to destroy objects as demonstrated in Adventure in the Elements when Amity destroyed her drawing.
Abomination Golem - Amity naturally can create golems out of abomination goo. She'll usually limit herself to one at a time when using her own golem. Her golems can come in various sizes from very little, to medium-sized, to even giant-sized. Her golems also showed to be quite obedient and intelligent for a typical abomination, being able to mimic Amity's movements and being capable of throwing projectiles, throwing themselves at the opponent, blocking attacks, tying their opponents or their attacks, and knocking them out with brute strength. They are however fragile as they can be easily destroyed with just enough force, but Amity can easily fix them up again. Her abominations can be also pretty quick and due to their ability to mimic Amity, can showcase a mannerism closer to actual combatant rather than slow, zombie-like mannerism. Amity also never lost control over her abominations.
Abomination Bullet - as demonstrated with her own abomination minions, Amity can throw abomination goo as projectiles that can be pretty destructive as demonstrated during Covention.
Abomination Block - Amity can use abomination goo to directly block attacks from her opponents as demonstrated in her battle with Hunter during Eclipse Lake. She can also use it to trap attacks inside a ball made out of abomination as demonstrated in EL. In KT it's also demonstrated that she can shape her abomination block into an abomination hand which is also larger and helps protect from bigger attacks like falling debris for example.
Abomination Shield - Amity can create a fortified shield made out of Abomination Goo that is supposedly stronger than typical Abomination Block as demonstrated in Reaching Out.
Abomination Slide- as demonstrated in Reaching Out, Amity is capable of using abomination goo to ride on it for transportation. It could be used to get away from her opponents, get into a specific location for Amity to proceed with her strategy, or just charge head-on towards her opponents as shown in WaD.
Abomination Root Attack - as demonstrated in Reaching Out, Amity can slide her abomination goo through the ground unnoticed, for it to pop up wherever she wants to create a hand that can be either used to block people's movements, or sneak attacks to throw them away, it can also take shape of a hand.
Abomination Arms - as demonstrated in both King's Tide and Reaching Out, Amity can create arms using her abomination goo. It could be used to either block the attacks even as strong as falling debris, hold their opponent still as Amity attempted with Belos, or she can cover her own arms with goo to form bigger arms to match the strength of stronger opponents while also being capable to extend them however she likes.
Giant Abomination Arm - Amity as demonstrated in WILW, was capable of creating a giant arm made out of abomination that could be used to block attacks as strong as a giant axe for example. It can also be used for uppercuts as demonstrated in both WILW and ASIAS when Amity killed Tibbles.
Abomination Lasso - as demonstrated during her battle with Belos, Amity is capable of creating a lasso made out of abomination goo that can be used to tie her opponents down.
Abomination Bind - as demonstrated in EL, Amity can bind her opponents with abomination goo as she did with Hunter during the entire episode. The bind is quick enough to catch her opponents no matter what and it would require top speed to break from them.
Abomination Bubble - Amity can create a restraining bubble around her opponents to trap them as demonstrated in Eclipse Lake, being quick enough to trap them no matter what. However, it is not invulnerable as Hunter broke out from it with enough force. The bubble can be used to also use for herself for protection and transportation.
Abomination Blade - as demonstrated during her battle with Hunter, Amity is capable of creating a simple blade made out of abomination goo.
Abomination Gauntlet - Amity is capable of creating a fortified gauntlet made out of abomination goo. She can create only one at a time though (not counting Abomination Arms which aren't as fortified as the gauntlet which has spikes). However, she can use it to enhance her own physical strength (though barely as she didn't break Hunter's nose with it and only came "close" to breaking a barrier according to Alador). She can use her abomination gauntlet to shoot projectiles at her opponents as demonstrated during her tag-team battle with Luz against Kikimora.
Abomination Wave - Amity is capable of creating a giant wave of abomination goo. The wave could be used to knock back her opponents, glue them to the floor as demonstrated in Clouds on the Horizon, or to the walls as demonstrated in Labirynth Runners.
Abomination Construct - Amity has demonstrated to be capable of creating precise tools and objects with her abomination goo as seen in Follies when she created a skateboard or balloon in Reaching Out. Amity showcased to be quite creative with it.
Abomination Multiple Hands - as demonstrated in WaD when attacking Luz, Amity is capable of creating multiple abomination giant hands to use to attack her opponents.
Abomination Tendrils - Amity is capable of creating multiple tendrils made out of abomination that can be used to hold up structures (like Luz's ice bridge in TtT) and attack her opponents during her battle with Luz in WaD.

bob belcher is autistic and here's why!!
social difficulties. this one is pretty obvious bcuz one of bob's most important traits is how introverted and antisocial he is and how he doesn't like being around people (outside of family) or being forced to make conversation. he spends holidays cooking in the kitchen as an excuse to not have to talk to his in-laws and he's generally very socially awkward because its hard for him to read other people and he gets stressed out easily. when he DOES have people he wants to interact with socially he's anxious that he's doing something wrong and that he'll say something to make them hate them such as phone calls or when he's texting his dad friends ("just try not to be... how you are." "i always try to do that") and seems to have a hard time reading what other people think about him especially through text or knowing when he's being rude or hurtful (like that burger convention episode where he thought he made friends but everybody hated him and was talking behind his back bcuz he misread social signals) he also seems to have a hard time reading other people's body languages and emotions. he also HATES large gatherings and parties as stated in multiple episodes. he seems to calm down and decompress by being alone and focusing on doing his own thing
lack of emotional expression. very similar to tina bob has a monotone voice and lack of facial expression compared to his family members and other characters on the show. while he CAN express his emotions through voice he mostly says what he means or how he's feeling and expects other people to do the same. very rarely genuinely smiles etc (not because he isn't happy!!! it doesn't seem to come naturally to him most of the time)
hyperfixations on specific topics and interests. while obviously bob's main interest is cooking and anything related to the production and growing of food as seen in countless episodes (thanksgiving episodes especially and any episode where he's gardening or growing plants) he does have other hyperfixations too. big examples are CAKE in that one episode and how linda says that bob gets obsessed with "boring things" too like soap carving or that episode where he hyperfixated on the internet cucumber. when this happens he focuses all his energy on the topic and doesn't seem to care about much else as seen in the episode where he gets a juicer for christmas and throughout the episode he's either excited about different juicing combinations or complaining about how he can't use his juicier ("in my head i'm at home juicing right now") while forcing his family to drink his combinations. also that History Of Pepper book that he got super into. enjoys explaining this interests to other people whether or not they seem interested in what he's saying (like in that goddamn cucumber episode)
hyper empathy for and attachment to inanimate objects. this is a HUGE thing for bob as he's always seen talking to inanimate objects around him like food as he prepares it or his kitchen utensils. he uses this to express his feelings and talk through uncertain situations but he also seems to have real empathy and emotions towards them as seen in the episode where he gets into a fight with the turkey banister or when lance the turkey gets shot. he also gets very emotional when he has to work in a different kitchen and apologizes to his stove several times
sticking to routine and resistance to change. bob clearly values his routine at the restaurant with his burger of the day etc and his family seems to have a fairly consistent daily routine with dinner and watching tv afterwards every night. in the seaplane episode linda is upset because she thinks bob's dates are boring because he always wants to go back to the same boring/reliable places that he already knows that he likes vs wanting to try something new that he possibly won't enjoy which is VERY autistic tbh
taking things literally or having trouble with sarcasm. doesn't come up very often BUT in the pigeon episode when linda tells bob to give the pigeon a bath and so he takes a bath with it and she was like NO BOBBY IN THE SINK!!! and he's like i wouldn't fit in the sink? :( thats autism baby
burnout. bob tends to hyperfixate on his job and his love of cooking but if he does this for too long without taking a break it can lead to burnout where he's seen having trouble with running the restaurant and more sensitive/annoyed by other people talking to him so he needs to take a break even if he resists this at first. very autistic experience to Hyperfixate so hard you forget your basic needs and have trouble remembering to take care of yourself
struggles with motor control and following directions. this is a smaller symptom but bob is shown having trouble with tying even basic knots and has an inability to follow maps or written instructions which can be a symptom of autism/developmental disorders. also he has a stutter which similarly is often comorbid with developmental disabilities/speech disorders
occasionally struggles with eye contact (during parent-teacher interviews)
strong sense of justice. bob very clearly has strong emotional responses and a strong sense of justice in situations that he sees as unfair and can react strongly without thinking it through. problems w/ impulse control and high emotion
bob isn't shown stimming very often but similarly to tina i think he mostly has his vocal stims that he uses in stressful situations ("oh my god. oh my god") in the movie he can also be seen groaning for hours at a time and going almost completely nonverbal in a stressful situation much like tina does which means it is likely a trait that she inherited from bob. he also paces around and seems to be predisposed to having shutdowns in stressful situations or when he's very anxious
not directly related but bob seems to think that he's MUCH better at masking than he actually is and i think that's very funny. he's like nobody knows im autistic :) <- everybody knows that he is autistic
#not all these traits are exclusive to autism and not every autistic person has all of them (or even most of them) and there's ones#im not adding because they don't really apply to bob but yknow#bob belcher is autistic. u understand#txt#bob's burgers#bob belcher

Luz vs The Forces Of "Good" (Trademark Denied)
I Was a Teenage Abomination isn't a flashy episode of the Owl House. I don't mean it isn't pretty to look at, because it most certainly is. But this episode isn't remembered as much as others when it comes to the plot of the story. Hollow Mind is emotionally revealing, Enchanting Grom Fright is a turning point in the series, and King's Tide is King's Tide. But what about the humble 3rd episode of the series, what does it bring to the table?
The answer to that question, is themes. This episode establishes some important themes of the series. Allow me to explain.
SPOILERS AHEAD
This episode introduces some important characters to the series. Willow, Gus, Amity, and of course, Principal Hieronymus Bump (although I'm not going to talk much about him here). And it uses these characters to introduce the theme tied to them. Success. Or more specifically, excellence.
"I'm sorry. I can't stay. I have to go disappoint my teacher."
Willow is introduced failing, with a mean rival who I will mention in a minute. Although, it's interesting to note what Willow is struggling to do. She, and the bully, have placed value on the creation of an abomination, a specific type of magic, and willow isn't cut out for that. She can't conjure the creature.
But here's the thing. Willow isn't bad at magic. As shown off in that same scene, she has a talent for plant themed magic. She is the shy friend with a talent for herbology.
"What you did with that flower and those plants, it was... wow." "Thanks, but I'm not even supposed to be doing plant magic."
And here, we run face first into the theme. The Owl House is about identity, and freedom of expression, and a sub-story of that is the contrast between that and perceived excellence. Where Luz, across the story, comes into conflict with people who wish to actively limit expression, the side characters come into conflict with the concept of excellence itself. As in, in the Boiling Isles, value is placed on certain aspects of life, and if you can't perform well in those areas, you have less value. You become half-a-witch.
It is Willow's plant magic that saves the day. It is her skill at her own thing that gets them out of trouble, and it's her passion for it that impresses Bump. This shot, for example is viewed in a style reminiscent of the romantic paintings. Not an age filled with love (although there was certainly a lot there) but also an age obsessed with the grandeur of nature. The harsh lighting in this shot calls upon that style, but the subject matter also echoes that, plants growing around columns in a great domed building that you are looking up at. It's meant to make Willow's magic seem more powerful, and to highlight the importance of this moment of self understanding.
Ok Gus doesn't have much to do in this episode. He's kind of just there. But I will quickly point out his introduction.
"He's the president of the Human Appreciation Society. Most witches wouldn't be able to recognize a human right away. But Augustus is an expert."
Gus is introduced with an accompanying set of accomplishments. It's quiet, and a joke at the time, but this comes back later on. Gus is a character who exists on accomplishments, he has self-worth issues that come up in later episodes.
Amity is introduced as an antagonist. Like Willow, she is introduced as an archetype, the mean school bully, but it is what makes her the villain here that fascinates me. She has fully bought in to the view of excellence. She happens to show promise in the areas in which society values, and as such is granted prestige. Although when that proves unstable (people who are successful in one area can easily be outmaneuvered with enough creativity and brute force of ignorance), she becomes increasingly villainous.
In western culture, moving from left to right is associated with normality. I don't think this is a conscious choice. You could bring up psychology and left brain/right brain tendencies, but I don't understand any of that, so if you want to look that up, go for it, but in the interest of analysis, let's just agree that moving from left to right is considered normal.
Amity blight, in all but one shot she is in, is moving from right to left. At one point, the camera changes angle, so that she can move in a different direction without changing the motion on screen. It's abnormal, moving backwards. The camera is telling you subconsciously that her worldview is backwards.
I mentioned an exception to this rule, and that is the first shot Amity is in. In this shot, she moves across the screen like everybody else, but stops, looks back, and taunts Willow. The thing that is holding her back isn't her drive for excellence, it's her lack of understanding that success can come from different places, it's her desire to reenforce the status quo of "you must be good at what I am good at". That is what's holding her back.
This episode sets into motion the background story of The Owl House, the clash between individuality and excellence, and this keeps bubbling until For The Future, and when I get there, I'm going to look back at the themes set up here.
So stick around, if that interests you.
