𝐗𝐋. Bough Keeper's domain over Ley Lines: telepathic communication.
Following the same principle as explained in the previous headcanon where I touched onto Dain's sensitivity to Ley Lines and sentience of its energies, as well as his intimate connection to Irminsul, he's capable of performing telepathic communication with the person of choice wherever they are, as Ley Lines cover every inch of Teyvat on a bigger or lesser degree. Places where are the most irrigated with them will allow him to establish a clearer communication, whereas if the opposite were to happen or if a Ley Line disorder were to take place in the location where the person of choice currently is, it will not be as clear.
In order for this to happen, there must also be a connection between him and the person of choice. This connection could be mere acquaintance with one another, but it must've been extended enough for Dain to have a perception of their soul in order for him to reach out to them. Moreover, if said person has on them one of Dain's possessions (the simplest in the form of an inteyvat of lyratum flower, more complex forms may be possibly such as customized gifts as a symbol of trust at least), that becomes another factor of making the communication via telepathy easier to manifest, as well as to be clear.
#◟༺✧༻◞ glimpses in the past of a shattered spirit ┊headcanon.#this one is shorter#but there isn't much more to it than that#and it's strictly about Dain#so in with the headcanon tag goes dfjhjg#this is one of those other things#that I had already established a long time ago#this one with Ven's N.ahida#but after seeing that telepathy via Ley Lines in 5.1#I knew that was more signal to go ham#because it's an actual thing#there is one more thing regarding Ley Lines#that it's even shorter than this#so I won't write it as headcanon#but that may be convenient in some threads#if it were to be necessary#bless the A.ranara quests tbh—#it's about teleportation abilities#because of the Ley Line networks irrigating all of Teyvat#but personally I think that it'd be something he would use less#as to not deprive himself from the journey#unless he needs it for some specific reason

The 5.1 AQs left a big lore dump hard to digest all at once without forgetting something, so here's a small list of things I want to address after I put my ideas in order for each of them:
✧ Lord of the Night and angels. ✦ Telepathy via Ley Lines *Dain. ✓ ✧ Fortitude of mind of those who can gaze into the future —Even if the truth that you see will soon manifest into reality, there is still no need to preemptively panic—. ✦ Perception of souls and understanding of the Ley Lines by extension. ✓ ✧ Loom of Fate implications if paralleled with the net of souls and memories within Ley Lines to protect them against abyssal corrosion (collective memory erasure, mental disorders, cognitive issues). Ley Line reconstruction. ✓ ✦ Sending of souls back into the Ley Lines and difficulty in soul-ferrying. ✓ ✧ Soul omniscience to see past façades. ✓ ✦ Vulnerability to the souls' pain (Lord of the Night's sound of lament). ✓ ✧ Dain, Capitano and the Black Serpent Knights (alternative army faction?) ✓ ✦ Notion of souls' capability of indwelling the body of a living other. ✧ Damage to the soul— the dangers of let pain consume an individual (potentially leading to death). ✦ Existence of Irminsul and Ley Lines prior to the Primordial One's arrival. ✧ Ley Line construction from the remnants of the previous ones vs constructing Ley Lines out of thin air (Lord of the Night's method vs Loom of Fate). ✓ ✦ Destruction of the corner of Teyvat as a result of the battle between the Primordial One and the dragons. Abyss invasion of the world. ✓ ✧ Dragon devices to strengthen the Ley Lines but lack of skills to navigate them. ✦ Intricate structure of the Ley Lines (changeable). ✧ Loom of Fate implication: giving up memories and history leads to rewriting everything, thus changing the people as well. ✓ ✦ Shades (Ronova —the victors shall burn bright, while the losers must turn to ash— and Asmoday). Lack of freedom. ✧ Loom of Fate as a good weapon against the Abyss if used correctly. ✓ ✦ Phlogiston and elements. Enkanomiya mention about raw and complicated elements vs simpler ones. Elemental energy used as a counter to the Abyss. ✧ Curse of Immortality: deterioration of the flesh, erosion of the mind? ✦ Rarity behind Dain's lack of body deterioration. ✧ Fate (what happens, time, manner and place as predetermined aspects) and Death (a rule that will happen regardless of what fate mandates). ✦ Nature of the Descender as being able to alter Fate. ✧ Endless battle against the Abyss in Teyvat until everything is precipitated to death. ✓ ✦ Abyss Tumor: Mark of Gosoythoth (Yog-Sothoth, Azathoth). ✧ False sky and Asmoday. ✦ Sundjatta and the Black Serpent Knights.
#◟༺✧༻◞ what lays behind the mantle of faux stars ┊ooc.┊#I wasn't joking when I said#that there is a /lot/ I want to talk about#but heck I didn't expect to be this much#anyway many of these are disjointed thoughts#that might be included in the same as other points
