#I'm studying history and religious studies so and like folklore studies doesn’t come up as much as you'd think it would even in the overlap#but I've fallen down an academic paper rabbit hole about dogs as manifestations of the devil#in European and American folklore#and truly all roads lead back to Faust in talking about the devil in European adjacent folklore#anyway. this is for a writing project I've been messing with since fcking high school#and I wanna be firm in my knowledge on the folklore I'm borrowing from#into the void
