might be one of the pettiest possible complaints about Shadow of the Erdtree, but I hate this thing they do where weapons dual-wield instead of two-handing.
I don't like dual-weapons being treated as one weapon, DaS3 had my least favourite dual-wielding system of any Souls including DaS1 and Elden Ring already had a perfectly good dual-wielding system. I get that some of them are like that bc the weapon art requires two weapons but like. Reverse-grip swords did not have to be like this.

(Image description below 'read more' line.)
[Image ID: A four-by-four alignment chart on a white background with text descriptions to the left and to the top of the squares.
The top left description reads, "seems like they'd be good at parenting." The top right description reads, "seems like they'd be bad at parenting."
Then, from the top down, to the left of the squares, the other set of descriptions reads: "excellent child rearing instincts," and "never trust them with a child in your life."
Each of the four squares contains an image of a different character. At the top left is an image of Lan Wangji of the Mo Dao Zu Shi donghua. He sits between the descriptors "seems like they'd be good at parenting," and "excellent child rearing instincts."
In the top right square sits an image of Wei Wuxian, also of the Mo Dao Zu Shi donghua. He sits between the junction of "seems like they'd be bad at parenting" and "excellent child rearing instincts."
In the bottom left square is an image of Xie Lian from the Tian Guan Ci Fu manhua. He occupies the square with the captions, "seems like they'd be good at parenting" and "never trust them with a child in your life."
Finally, in the bottom left square, sits an image of Hua Cheng from the Tian Guan Ci Fu manhua. He occupies the junction between "seems like they'd be bad at parenting" and "never trust them with a child in your life". /End ID]

WIP Wednesday
Thanks for the tag @scribbledquillz! I am still easing back in to writing after my burnout/hiatus, but here is what I've been working over the past few weeks instead c:
The next step on the Fenris scarf is to draw all the tattoos onto the black section with silver Sharpie and then embroider over them. The bottom image is my test piece to make sure this kind of embroidery is something I can do (ignore the variety of stitch types; I wanted to pick one that showed up pretty well and didn't look too messy if I had to turn the work a lot; the one around the border is what it will all look like when done). I found a really really cool yarn to do the embroidered sections with and I'm excited to share that piece when it's all done (but expect it to be a few weeks, because embroidery will take a lot longer than crocheting this did).
I'm pretty happy with it so far! I like the way the favor section turned out and I learned a new stitch for the gauntlet/shoulder bits, which also came out pretty cool. I will take proper, pretty pictures when it's all finished, just like I did with the Cullen scarf, but I didn't have access to the dress form today for this set (so you can enjoy a little section of my library and the pretty table my husband made instead haha).
Thanks to everyone who helped with Fenris's tattoo resources! I really appreciate it.
Tagging back (no pressure, and sorry if you've been tagged already): @greypetrel @ndostairlyrium and @zenstrike

Lately I’m trying really hard to learn how to like eat sufficiently cuz I never have any appetite but I feel like I’m literally always hungry… like I could eat every hour or two no matter how much or how little I eat it takes the same amount of time. I end up ignoring my “hungry” signals a lot bc I feel hungry right after I eat but if I eat too much I get sleepy. I was thinking of setting timers so I always eat breakfast lunch and dinner but I feel like I need to eat more often than that. But like how much food is reasonable to eat if I’m eating every 2 hours??

there's a thing in the UK called Pharmacy First where you can just ask a pharmacist for advice and treatment for certain conditions, and acute otitis media (the ear infection we've got) is covered by that, which would be great because it'd mean not having to book a doctor's appointment, except for some reason it's age restricted so you can't use Pharmacy First for that if you're over 17 even though you can use it for other conditions because each condition has a different age restriction
