you trudge out of the water, making your way back towards the pool lounger. it takes bokuto a couple minutes to notice you are gone because he is busy checking how long he can hold his breath underwater, but eventually he does, then he rushes over to you. "(y/n)! what are you doing?"

"i'm going to rest, bo. i'm so tired." you pant, flopping face-first down onto your towel and nuzzling into the soft fabric. bokuto quickly lays down next to you and turns his head so he is making eye-contact, partially pushing you off because the lounger is big but definitely not spacious enough for two people, let alone one as muscular as bokuto.

"but you didn't even get to see how long i can hold my breath for!" he whines, doing a poor job at sounding frustrated as he gently moves a wet strand of hair out of your face.

you sigh covertly, heavy eyes drooping shut, "why don't you show me now?"

"but we're not under water."

"that doesn't make a difference, sweetie." you reassure him, and he nods thoughtfully, as that did make sense. wow, he has such an intelligent, s/o! he beamed a this own internal monologue, before promptly inhaling sharply so his cheeks were full with air, then squeezing his nostrils shut.

and that is how you got peace and quiet for around two minutes and nine seconds. (he almost passed out)

NISHINOYA YŪ

☀ y'all are always travelling all over the place

☀ swimming with dolphins, hiking through forests, skydiving, lounging at some of the most gorgeous beaches in the world

☀ it's almost like eternal summer for you two

☀ you've basically seen and lived it all so one of the most novelty ways you could spend your summer, is just at home

☀ enjoying the little things; like sitting in front of the fan in searing heat, or barbequing, or water balloon/water gun fights

☀ oh noya loves water gun/balloon fights !! and he gets into it too!!

☀ v competitive, even with you , whom he loves the most in the entire world, but he's still gonna kick your ass lol

☀ but he also likes when you're equally as competitive as him

☀ or if you use an ice bucket 😭 he'd scream and have to get you back for that one

☀ don't let him anywhere near you with that ice bucket though.. especially in a light-colored shirt.. his intentions are not pure

☀ omg he uses psychological warfare too

☀ like if you're beating him and spraying him he's like 'alright alright you got me!!' and drops his water gun/balloon and puts his hands up in surrender

☀ so when you stop, he throws his arm around you and pulls you in for a drenched hug and kisses over your cheeks and face

☀ then , as you both close your eyes and you lean in for a proper kiss, he pulls out a tiny water pistol he had hidden in his shorts and squirts you in the face and laughsss

☀ and it's only a tiny amount of water so it doesn't do any real harm but it's the TREACHERY that got you

☀ smh you had to give that man a taste of dirt after that

you have him cornered, he frantically pulls the trigger of the water gun but nothing comes out; he's got no ammunition left. a sinister smile inches across your lips as you creep towards him, "final words?" you say dramatically, thinking about where you should spray him first.

his expression contorts into one of dismay and fear when he realises there is no way out, and his breathing falters. eyes drifting closed, he is about to accept his fate...

...until he hears a familiar chime in the distance.

"wait, (y/n)!" he calls, just as you are about to aim your water gun.

"ugh, what?" you groan.

"do you hear that?" he pauses, the silence allowing you to also hear the tune ring from afar.

"the ice-cream van?" you cock an eyebrow, you're face exhibiting all fifty shades of unimpressed, "do you really think i'm going to pass up revenge for ice-cream?"

"i'll buy you an ice-cream sandwich!" he bargains.

you narrow eyes at him, threatening stance unwavering.

"and a slushie!" he adds.

your eyes-widen, and you instantly drop the gun, pivoting on your heels towards the front door, "hurry up, then!" you urge, and noya is hot on your tail, brimming with laughter.

USHIJIMA WAKATOSHI

☀ with some more time-off during the summer, you suggested ushijima find a new hobby to keep him occupied while you were at work

☀ when he asked you for suggestion, you told him just to do whatever he felt like, but you did also mention that there was a flower bed in your garden that looked awfully bleak and unkempt

☀ it was a mere recommendation though, and if he didn't want to do it, that was more than alright

☀ after all, with the amount he makes, y'all have more than enough to hire a gardener to fix it for you. or just a landscaper who will fill it in and build a gazebo on top or something

☀ but ushijima takes your words as command and if you, his favourite person in the world, wants to see flowers in that bed. then he will put flowers in that bed!!! it's just that simple

☀ although he doesn't know where to start, but after some time browsing blogs and online articles, he comes to the conclusion that he best place to begin was to buy some flower seeds and starters

☀ and toshi , being the man he is, has somewhat of a natural green-thumb

☀ and these flowers and thriving in no time

☀ while he is outside, you mostly just stand by the window with a tea/coffee in your hand, watching him work in his cute little straw sun hat you bought him, occasionally calling out to him and saying he's doing such a good job, to which he will look at you and flash a small smile

☀ because you don't pay very much mind to him and his gardening antics bc you assume it's a phase that is going to pass as soon as another game season starts

☀ but no , his gardening hobby is here to stay

you come home after a long day of work, utterly tired and sore. you hobble into the kitchen with the intention of tossing your bag on a chair before you head upstairs, but are pleasantly surprised when you're met with a romantic sight.

ushijima has set the dining the table with the finest cutlery and cloth, upon which there was three candles that illuminated the area. the aroma of your favourite meal also wafted through the air, so your gaze darted around the room, until you noticed it two plates of it on the kitchen counter, which ushijima carefully transfers to the table.

once he sees you enter, he stands up straight and makes his way over to you, with his hands hidden behind his back, planting a firm kiss on your cheek.

you smile, and lean into him, gazing up with a foolishly wide grin, "what's all this?"

"dinner." he states plainly, then reveals what was behind his back. a large bouquet, filled with all kinda of different and colourful flowers. you gasp at the sight, hesitant to hold such a beautiful masterpiece.

"this is stunning, toshi." your voice shakes with emotion, as you sniff the flowers to soak in their sweet smells, "where did you get this from?"

"i grew them."

your eyes widen, as you look between the bouquet in your arms and your stoic boyfriend, who appears dead-serious. "you did? but there are so many." you can hardly hold them all.

"the garden was fruitful."

the tears that previously welled in your eyes spilled over your cheeks, and you push yourself into him to bury yourself in his strong chest. "thank you so much, wakatoshi. this means so much to me." you sob, your tears dampening the fabric of his shirt.

ushijima is rather taken back by your reaction. he expected you to be apprecitive but he didn't understand how some flowers had moved you to tears, though he rubbed your back comfortingly, none the less.

what he decided in that moment was that he would be gardening for the forseeable future. regardless of how many hours squat in the blistering heat or chilling winters it would take, he would grow a bouquet filled with all your favourite flowers for every season. because your smile alone makes every single arduous hour worth it.

KAGEYAMA TOBIO

☀ during summer he has less hours training with the adlers so he wants to spend every free moment he has with you + the kids

☀ just doing random domestic stuff

☀ he's the type of dad who wants to spoil them rotten and take them to all sorts of fun places

☀ like monday it's the fair, tuesday it's the waterpark, wednesday it's the zoo, thursday it's the softplay.. and so on

☀ if it wasn't for the fact he has a terrible history in booking his own flights, he would have flew the kids to disneyland by now

☀ but he's so high intensity in such a short amount of time bc he feels like he needs to spend as much time with them as he can right now otherwise when he goes back to work they are gonna forget all about him

☀ but you're like they don't have the energy for two days out in a row 😭 so kags needs to find something he can do in the house with them

☀ so he buys one of those massive jungle gyms for the back garden to keep them entertained

☀ but the two things he didn't account for:

☀ 1) he would need to build it himself

☀ which he fails at so bad but he CAN'T ask you for help otherwise you'll think of him as a useless husband (you won't but that's his thought process)

☀ so it takes him like ten days to build it properly

☀ but even when he finishes it looks unstable so you're like 'kags.. test it out'

☀ and he gets mad defensive and is like 'do you not trust my abilities?!?!'

☀ and you're like 'ok if you're not going to test it out, i will'

☀ and when you start walking towardshis construction he is literally sweating bc he knows it's fucked up

☀ so he's like 'fine!! i'll test it' and lo and behold it collaspes over him and y'all need to hire a professional to fix it

☀ 2) the other thing he didn't take into consideration is that the kids want him to play on it with them .. meanwhile he is 6'2" and quite frankly cba

☀ he tries to play with them from outside the jungle gym but your kids are menaces and won't let up until their dad goes down the slide with him

☀ and that's the story of how your husband got caught in a tube slide 😞

your kids got bored of the jungle gym quickly and were now asking for something else to play with in the backyard. however, after the construction incidient, your confidence in kageyama's handiness has plummeted enough that you do not trust him to build a trampoline, so instead you buy some chalk and tell him to draw some games on the concrete like snakes and latter or hopscotch.

it's simple enough, but it's been taking him quite a while. so, you whip up some fresh lemonade and bring it out to check upon him, "how's the drawing going, tobio?"

he looks up at you, wipes the sweat off his forehead, and happily takes a drink off your tray, then takes a large gulp. "thanks, babe. and it's going fine. 'm almost done."

he says, and stands up to show you the whole game. he chose hopscotch, and draw all the numbers in cute little hearts. admittedly, some were a little wonky but the effort is so sweet. you smile brightly, and place a kiss on his cheek, to which he can't help but smirk. "looks grea—"

just as you are about to utter a compliment, something out of the corner of your eye that causes your heart to plummet. you stare at the error for a moment, and blink a couple times to ensure you aren't imagining it. once you establish for certain what you're seeing is correct, you sigh and say, "kags. draw a three for me."

he raises his eyebrows but doesn't question it. he gets on his knees and draw a three seperately from the hopscotch grid, and to your dismay, it looks like "Ɛ", just as it appears inside the heart.

you look between his sweet, innocent face, and the messed up three he had just written. your children were in their formative years so you didn't want them to learn their numbers from this faulty hopscotch grid, but you also couldn't bring yourself to correct kageyama and watch his ego crash again. so, you bite your tongue and force a smile, "good job." you pat his back and press another kiss on his cheek, "i'm gonna head inside. maybe later we can talk about sending our kids to private school."

internally he is rather jarred by the sudden change in conversation, but he brushes it off and gives you a final squeeze before you walk away.

OIKAWA TŌRU

☀ takes you to the beach ofc !!!!

☀ would love to see you dress up in a swim suit or sun dress in theory bc you look so hot

☀ but in practise, when y'all actually go to the beach and he realises other people can see how hot you look as well, that puts him off and makes him a lil jealous

he kneels down besides you and tilts the phone over so you can scroll through the pictures he took, and as usual, they are quite nice, in your opinion. though oikawa gazes at them with eyes sickeningly sweet and sappy. you watch as his thumb moves to send the photos to himself, and you pressed your cheek against his arm and purr, "awh, thank you, sweetie. you did su— oi, what're you doing?!"

you bark, watching him delete the photos off your phone after they're finished sending, and you snatch the device out of his hand too late as they are already gone. you glare and him and he simply shrugs, with an innocent aura, "you looked too good. i didn't want you posting those anywhere."

he explains, and you huff, crossing your arms over your chest. you should've expected his behaviour from him. "now the only photos i've ever looked nice in are gone. thanks, loserkawa."

"they're not gone. i still have them." he commented, squishing your cheeks, amused and enamoured by your little sulk, "and we both know those aren' the only photos you've ever looked good in. you're beautiful in every single one."

ALWAYS, and I mean ALWAYS gets up at 7:00am SHARP. If he doesn’t get up at 7am he’ll probably be up at 7:07, and if he isn’t up at that time he’ll be extremely pissed about it.

He uses an unhealthy amount of gel to get his hair to stay like that. No fucking way does it just do that thang.

Apart from that, he somehow has nice-ish hair despite how ratty and unkempt it looks, his Ma' and Aofie taught him how to care for his hair once he started growing it out.

Still lives at the Ryan Home, with his parents, and siblings, (though Aofie has moved out.she visits.) he’s WAY too irresponsible with his money to rent his own apartment.

Got surprisingly decent grades for how he acts.

He eats Lucky Charms for breakfast, but he usually only eats the marshmallows.

Learned Irish Stepdance from his Father, he’s trying to rope his younger brothers into learning it as well.

SOMEHOW. SOMEHOW still has his drivers license. He drives this really banged up looking car, each time he has to drive someone somewhere they exit the car hyperventilating, dehydrated, malnourished, trembling, tense, teary eyed../j

He’s tasked with babysitting Sean and Cian more often than not, he most likely drops them off with one of the other Boxers if he can’t be bothered to deal with their bullshit™️. (Which, surprisingly, isn’t all that common.)

When he was a kid, he tried to sell or trade Ronan/Sean and Cian when they were babies for something ridiculous. Like a Pokemon card, or something of the sorts.

Also tried to make his Younger Brothers’ first words a curse. (It worked for Cian, his first word was ‘Arse’.) ((Aran was overjoyed, his parents not so much.))

Owns a lot of lucky charms, almost to the point where it’s absurd.

Most of his old clothes end up becoming hand-me-downs to Ronan, Sean and Cian.

He knocked out (one of) Cian's teeth when he was younger.

Who is a night owl:

-Athrys used to be an artisan and Eramis is obsessive, so I'd say that both of them were night owls. I like to think that they would work late into the night side-by-side on their projects as a means of enjoying each other's company, especially after they became mothers and their lives became super busy. And, because I like to headcanon that they often adopted more 'problem' children (as in, kids from the village that were special needs or too difficult/rowdy for their bioparents to keep tabs on- which is less of a cruel sentance when you remember that Eliksni rear their young communally) that were mixed indiscriminantly into their own clutches, this often ended up working out well for them bc lots of the fussy sleepers would always have at least one of their mothers already awake to tend to them. Either Athrys in her studio weaving baskets and sculpting architextural miniatures or Eramis poring over star charts, or them doing it side by side, it didn't matter- they'd always be there

Who is a morning person:

-Honestly, following that previous point I don't think either of them were morning people. Eramis likely is now bc of a combo of Drift-induced internal clock fuckery and PTSD-induced insomnia, but that's hardly by choice. And, if you got her back on a Riisian cycle, then she'd probably start reverting back to old habits

Are they cuddlers:

-Absoloutly. These crabs are SOOO snuggly. Whether they stay that way is the question: I feel like they'd be the type to start off snuggled up like cats and wake up with Athrys on her back with her limbs sprawled, and Eramis grabbing onto one of her limbs for dear life. They'll settle more if there's eggs or hatchlings between them bc the scent of either subconciously forces them to not move as much, but without that added stimulus, the nest is free real estate

Who is the big spoon and who is the little spoon:

-Common logic would dictate that Athrys would be the big spoon, given the fact that I hc her to be a big round gal, but it's actually Eramis, because she has the 'grabs and clings with all 6 limbs like she's dying' disease while sleeping, so she tends to end up the big spoon even if she starts off as the little spoon.

What is their favourite sleeping position:

-Starting off? Facing each other with Eramis curled up under Athrys's chin and Athrys curled around her as well, with their youngest hatchlings squished between them. If they're still in that position when they wake up or not is, again, entirely based on if their babies are there to activate the parental guarding instinct, but their favorite position to fall asleep together would be the facing each other grab-and-hold

Who steals all the blankets:

-Ironically given where she put her House, Eramis used to be the one who'd always complain about being too cold, so the blankets usually ended up wadded around her. This worked bc Athrys often ran on the warmer side, so she'd usually just toss them over Eramis after a mid-night wake-up anyways. Though I hc that Eramis usually ends up sleeping curled up into as tight of a circle as an Eliksni can get, so that paired with her smaller size means that 'hoarding' is kind of a misnomer

What they wear to bed:

-Honestly w/out seeing traditional Riisian garb, it's hard to say exactly how bedclothes would work, but since Riis appeared to have been a water world/much more wet or tropical climate than Earth with all the mentions of canal traversal in the Garden Way lorebook, I'd say loose robes in winter and nothing in summer. That would just mean more layers to trap humid, sticky heat, which is unbearable.

Who likes seeing the other wearing their t-shirt:

-T-shirts aren't applicable here bc these are alien bugs but I'm positive that 'dress tiny partner in your clothing' is a universal constant, so Athrys always got a kick out of seeing Eramis draped in her robes bc its cute. Eramis herself was fond of this in wintertime especially bc more fabric = warmer and also it smelled like wife

Who falls asleep mid-conversation:

-Athrys. Eramis takes her monologues VERY SERIOUSLY. If she's talking to you she WILL NOT STOP UNTIL HER POINT IS MADE. Athrys, on the other hand, was always perfectly content to just drift off to the sound of Eramis rambling about one thing or the other, which used to irritate Eramis tremendously when they were kids (I like to hc them as childhood friends to lovers)

Who wakes up in the middle of the night with nightmares:

-Both of them used to be pretty solid sleepers on Riis, but now? It's Eramis. I'm sure that if Athrys is still alive she gets them too, but Eramis's PTSD is...something else entirely :')

Who accidentally punched the other in their sleep:

-Athrys has done this more than once on accident while moving to her preferred sleeping position of Sprawled On Back. Eramis just clings like a burr. Though I DO love Shadow's hc of Eramis being an extremely rowdy, terrible sleeper lmfao

Who can’t keep their hands to themself:

-ERAMIS. Doesn't matter where you're placed in the nest- if you're warm, she will find you and fucking Get You. Though if we're talking turning sleepy petting into a lil something else...then Athrys is the one for that, lmao. Usually when Eramis was ranting before bed about something or the other and she got too sleepy-distracted by how nice her wife's voice was to just ask her to go to sleep and decided to get her to make other sounds instead

For Misraaks, I'm going to do one with Aeris and one with Taniks, bc I don't really ship him with anyone but him having crazy hookups is deeply funny to me

-Aeris is the little spoon. He's a long lanky killing machine, but he loves being held, and Misraaks is capable of squeezing him nice and tight so he gets that sweet, sweet pressure therapy as well. He honestly likes it almost as much as he likes the sex, bc it knocks him the FUCK out and helps him sleep better than he normally would alone

(M + T): Who accidentally punched the other in their sleep:

-TANIKS. Taniks has a reduced need for sleep thanks to all the bullshit he's gone through, but he still needs to sleep, so he has this whole elaborate setup going on where he shifts his sensors on high alert and has his limbs go through an autofidget program to make it seem like he's lost in thought when he's really just knocked out. The one time that Misraaks slept with him, he didn't realize that Taniks was actually sleeping instead of just being zoned out, and got punched for his efforts. Thankfully not hard enough to cause permanant damage, but still not something that Misraaks wants to repeat anytime soon

Ok I have written and rewritten this trying to get all my thoughts together about affair so l apologize if im all over the place.

I am glad that wan ran away and im actually having second thoughts about wanting them to be together. One part of me understands and accepts that pleng has been slower at realizing her own feeling for wan (it happens) while wan has been all in since they were kids. The other half of me wants to slap pleng and shout at her "WHY DO YOU ALWAYS HAVE ONE FOOT OUT THE DOOR, CANT YOU SEE HOW MUCH WAN LOVES YOU!?!?" THIS WOMAN MARRIED A GUY SHE DIDNT EVEN LOVE TO KEEP HER PROMISE TO PLENG AND HAD HOPED THAT PLENG WOULD SEE THEIR WEDDING ANNOUNCEMENT!!! Admittedly a little extreme but I guess that's love!

During the entirety of pleng reading wans letter I was like "mhm yep" "so right" "exactly!" Wan said it all perfectly imo.

In a similar manner, I've also written and rewritten this lol but I've been having so many feelings about WanPleng and Affair for the past couple of weeks, like seriously. And mind you, I will make no sense in this post. I'll sound like an hypocrite at times, but trust the process.

There was not even one character in Affair that didn't piss me off at some point.

Pleng pushes the protagonist privilege with me the most, and Wan has probably annoyed me the least.

But also, gotta give credit where credit is due (I suppose). The name of the show is Affair, so from the very beginning, I assumed they'd be problematic and not your usual GL sweet protagonists. I did expect it to be a more problematic-together thing, though, as in them actually being part of the affair (I could go on a full rant about Eek, but I'll stop myself), but instead, we got emotionally immature and stagnant former rich kid Pleng running away from every single one of her problems and coming up with solutions (that involve Wan) completely by herself without consulting anyone first. And it's not exactly an insecurity thing she developed for losing both of her parents + her wealth. She has done that since they were kids. It feels like an entitlement she has over Wan's life from day one.

On the other hand, we got overachiever Plengpleasing Wan who has tricked an already emotionally constipated and loveless Eek into dating and marrying her just bc Pleng told her to do it. She has always made her intentions so clear to Pleng, but I also wish she had used her words more, especially after they became adults.

They both need so much therapy and counselling, because if they stay together, it'll only be because they have this wrong notion that they are only able to love each other in this lifetime. And it's an insecure love, because in that letter, you can hear how much resentment she still has for Pleng leaving.

And mind you, I say this with love! They are extremely unhealthy to each other, and Wan's mom is kind of right when she says Pleng clouds Wan's perspective. They love each other unhealthily and at this point, they both deserve each other (and it's not like their options are good with a bunch of dudes who are all pain the asses. I'm not even kidding, not even one of them if a good fit. I didn't even remember who that Frank guy was and then remembered he's the one in the bike who I thought wanted Pleng first and then saw that Wan became a pretty teenager!!! And decided to switch his attentions to her instead.)

Anyway. I love them, and I hope they learn the magic of words and therapy and solve their issues. (Maybe they should get a therapist to every character, too.) Or maybe not. Stay unhealthy girls, but be unhealthy to others and not each other, alright?

1. Were you named after anyone?

Was originally gonna be named Andrea after a ballerina my grandma liked! Sadly no one remembered her well, not even grandma, so I don't know much about her.

My deadname was simply just chosen bc it was easy to pronounce, as well as my chosen name Diego (it's what I would've been called had I been male), although when I chose it for myself I liked the JoJo character Diego Brando so there was some correlation there.

Funnily enough, people think I'm nicknamed Lio after the Promare character, but I hadn't met them yet.

2. When was the last time you cried?

Yesterday. At 11pm. Watching OR3O's One Piece song. It was nostalgic ok

3. Do you have kids?

Nope. There's an absurd amount of reasons I don't want them, although not a single one is because I dislike them. I've had to babysit many kids and they've all been very sweet.

4. What sports do you play/have you played?

Oof, my recent sports is taking my dog for a walk. But I used to like volleyball and kickball! And reluctantly played soccer and did swimming! Sports give me a lot of anxiety and i'm not sure why.

5. Do you use sarcasm?

I do a lot of teasing and lighthearted banter that can sometimes be considered sarcasm?

6. What's the first thing you notice about people?

Their eyes! Or anything outstanding like cool hairstyles or visible tattoos.

With online people, I mostly recognize them by pfp or a vague mental pronunciation of their username.

Dark brown?? Or black??

Honestly, whatever makes me think more. Unhappy endings tend to do that more though, so I guess scary movies! But of course it depends on the mood, sometimes I just want a nice story to cheer me up.

I've been told I am talented at the piano! And music in general, although most of my skills feel less like talent and more like just studying the thing.

10. Where were you born?

So I was born in the US, in Florida, but my entire family is from Costa Rica and I just happened to be born while my parents were studying abroad. I don't remember much from the US though, I came back to CR with my grandma in my first months because she was less busy than my parents, and then they came to live here again. So in my eyes I've been a true Costa Rican since always hehe

11. What are your hobbies?

Playing the piano! Also drawing sometimes (I like to color more than draw, but unless I get my hands on a coloring book I can't do that unless I draw), playing videogames (mostly RPGs and visual novels), and doomscrolling.

12. Do you have any pets?

YESSSS my beloved dog Mia!!!!!!!!!!! I love her so much, she escaped her abusive home and we found her while walking around a plaza, said hi, and she followed us home. She's been with us for 8 years now and I adore her. Reference below because how can I not show her off:

14. Favorite subject in school?

It changed over the years, in senior year it was English because we had my favorite teacher! I knew him for years because he has a literature club I partook in, so I was very happy to have classes with him. Plus, we saw the Oresteia, which goes tremendously hard especially when your teacher geeks out about all the symbolisms.

Apart from that, computer class! We barely ever had it, and almost had it cut out entirely in senior year, but the few times we did I really enjoyed programming and practicing typing! And when we didn't do anything we could play so.

15. Dream job?

I want to make my own videogame! So I'd say a game developer, although being a part of any videogame, especially RPGs, would be a dream come true.

So to be Pierro's child there are few variants on how you appeared. Maybe you survived Khaenri'ah with him (with your other parent dying there) or he picked you up after you were abandoned (like with Kaeya) or his current lover somehow, miraculously managed to convince him to start a family. Either way - after downfall of his homeland, Pierro is extremely protective of anything, what's close to him, so while he can't stay with you for long, drowning in endless work, you're always protected. Fatuus won't dare to disobey Tsaritsa's right-hand man (bc if they do there's a certain doctor or marionette waiting for them..)

Sadly, because of their father's status, child is feared as well. Most likely they grow to be very lonely, only really interacting with some harbingers and maybe Childe's family as well, because he felt bad for them and asked Pierro's permission to let them meet his family. Your father won't show it, but he's oh so happy when you return and tell him about how nice Childe's relatives were !! And you even made friends !!

As busy as he is, Pierro tries to make time for his child. He plays chess with you and no, he doesn't lose on purpose, what makes you think that? He also reads bedtime stories for you (either if you can stay awake until he return home or you come to his office specifically with this request). He has low and raspy voice, so you fall asleep quickly. Pierro will never forget how he was reading a silly fairy tale and a fatui soldier came with report, but he didn't notice them.. Talk about awkward

Speaking of awkward situations, very rarely you can end up on harbingers' meeting, when you fall asleep in Pierro's office and he doesn't want to leave you or you came to him before meeting and refused to leave, of course promising to stay quiet (well, these adults speak of lots weird and boring stuff, according to you, so you probably fall asleep rather quickly) or something else.. Harbingers are like ?? 🤔🤨😳?? the first few times, but then they get used to it

Another random thought, but imagine smol child hiding in their father's coat. Considering how lonely they grew up, they're probably shy as well. Or they just want to warm up, because it's too cold in Snezhnaya. Then, someone makes c/n a mini version of harbinger coat..

When it comes to studying, Pierro is demanding, but not to the point of making you know everything perfectly by studying endlessly. Child ends up very knowledgeable

Pierro genuinely tries his best at fatherhood. He can come across as cold, overly busy or too demanding and to some extent it's true. However if he was a father, he'd always manage to give you all the love and time that's left in his frozen soul </3

After that, Pierro genuinely thanks Childe, because social interaction is very important for growing kids... and he loathes that he can't provide it himself.

YES. Reader literally just pops out of Pierro's coat out of nowhere and people usually get hella spooked. And when they try to speak to you, you just slip right back into the shadows. You love your tiny coat so much, because it makes you look like your dad :3 Pierro may not be the best dad, but he's certainly not the worst... he will put in as much effort as he can and that's what counts.

I love your recent posts about Eddie and Shannon and their relationship. I just don’t see how the show can address any of that with the way they’ve written this arc. There’s no one who can criticise Eddie’s feelings of ‘she was the love of my life, I’m broken without her’ except us the audience. There are no characters who saw their relationship as it actually was, so how can the show steer Eddie in that direction? I feel like they’re gonna leave it as she’s his Great Dead Love and that’s that

i see what you mean, and tbh i'm not sure what the show is going to do with this arc on-screen. they have a bunch of storylines to tie up in this finale episode (here's hoping we don't get any cliffhangers 🤞) and i don't know how much time they will have to devote to eddie, or even what they want to do with that time. it's possible they have a completely different perspective on this and will take it a whole other way, but i have faith that the show will tell the story they want to tell and, if the past six seasons are any indication, i will enjoy that story

all that being said, if we're talking dream arc, this is what i would want

as far as who can tell eddie "hey, you're looking at your marriage with rose-colored glasses, this is how it actually is," i've got two ideas for this. one is eddie himself, and the second is his parents, specifically helena, who has been rumored to be in the s7 finale. i'm kinda more excited about the second, so let's get the first one out of the way

eddie himself - hopefully after the clusterfuck that is explaining to his son that he's been seeing a dead ringer for his dead mom and she cosplayed as mommy to give eddie closure, eddie will talk about this in therapy, and through the skills he's learned and a frank discussion (pun intended) he will be forced to confront the reality of his marriage and start to address the trauma he has from everything with shannon

p cut and dry, my typical eddie-goes-to-therapy kinda story. we've all been here before.

now, for the good stuff 😈 (putting this under a read-more bc i have Thoughts)

helena. the diaz mother we all know and have complicated feelings over. or not-so-complicated feelings over, given the "don't drag [chris] down with you" line. i know i keep asking y'all to think of things from the white woman's perspective, but bear with me just one moment while i do this again

helena married into a large mexican family in the 80s. she had a mother in law whose cooking was renowned, a husband always away on business, and three children to bring up along with keeping her home together. given how everyone in their family seemed to treat shannon, i'm gonna go out on a limb here and assume there were some heavy expectations on helena to be the wife everyone thought ramon deserved, and i'm gonna assume that meant a lot of tradition--cooking the right things, doing the holidays the right way, teaching the kids the right values, etc. etc.

i think it was hard. i think helena didn't always meet the expectations put on her. i know it was played as a joke, but during ramon's retirement party, eddie and pepa were concerned that helena was cooking a specific dish (i can't remember which one atm) until abuela assured them she was in charge of it. meaning this is probably a running joke, helena not cooking things as well as she ought to.

also, raising three kids with a physically absent husband in a town that (i'm assuming) is full of in-laws seems hard to me, too. (if this is sounding familiar, yes i'm about to make a shannon comparison just gimme another second). the stories we hear about eddie as a kid are yes, reflections of traditional masculinity and eddie falling short of that, but also reflections on his parenting--how could helena let her son try to cook? that should be her job, she should be watching him! how could she let him try to drive at 8? tsk tsk and all that

i think helena has become a part of the diaz family fully, but i don't think it was always easy, and i think when her son married a white woman who didn't fit the expectations of a diaz wife either, helena recognized that. i think helena saw herself in shannon so clearly.

and instead of breaking the cycle and offering shannon that support and empathy that shannon (and young helena) needed, helena enforced those expectations even harsher. helena did it, so shannon had to, too.

maybe it was out of protection--she wanted shannon to fit into the family the way helena had learned to. maybe it was common generational sentiment, i.e. it's the Right way or it's the way I did it so therefore you have to do it that way, too. maybe it was a means of reinforcing her own place in the family, as she was no longer the newbie, shannon was.

whatever it was, i don't think she was conscious of it, and especially after shannon left her son, helena refused to acknowledge she was anything like shannon at all.

both helena's husband and son have done a lot of emotional work in the recent years and i think it's likely she would take a queue from them (and if her daughters are anything like me, i'm sure they're trying to nudge her towards a therapist at every turn). helena very well may be in a place where she can acknowledge how the expectations she's lived under may have been stifling, and given her son's recent encounter with kim, she very well may be in a place to acknowledge how similar shannon was to her.

and that's where, dear anon, your point comes in.

because helena was there for shannon and eddie's entire marriage. ramon was working, eddie was in the war, abuela and pepa were in la, but helena was right down the street (idk if she was actually right down the street but you know what i mean). helena knew shannon as an 18-20yo woman, as a new mother, as a struggling mother. she was in the unique position of watching shannon go through a marriage alone and remembering exactly how that felt.

kim may look like shannon, but she has no idea how shannon felt during her marriage. eddie can say all the things he wants to say, but it's like talking to a gravestone. i think helena can say the things eddie needs to hear, even if he may not want to hear them.

i'll just call myself the avoidance anon (lol) and yes, we're doing much better, thank you! I'm happy to say that, as a big FU to my (ex) dad, I am now earning three times his salary. haha

anyways, on the subject of kids, I have this scenario where my PC have always wanted to have a child (totally not me btw) but obviously that didn't happen bc of the cheating and divorce. in a game I played recently, the MC's mother had artifical insemination to have a baby. so what if our PC did that too (we better be making big bucks as a marriage councellor or i'll sue) a year or two after the divorce.

I hc my PC as someone who overworks to cope (if I can't see you, you can't see me) and kinda just... forgets to take care of themselves at some point. while spending a day-off on their favorite cafe, they happen to see a happy family walk by and after almost a week of thinking, they're on their way to get an IUI. a few months later, its confirmed that they're pregnant and affectionately call the bundle of joy, 'my miracle'. ('I lost myself but I found you, my tiny miracle')

on the night of the accident, PC asked the sweet old couple next door to babysit bc they're working late aaand... there goes the plot. at some point after the accident, the ex-spouse somehow meets the child and is curious about the father and (possibly) gets even more heartbroken realizing PC most likely went through a pregnancy alone; the morning sickness, pregnancy cravings, and the heightened emotions on top of the soreness.

ex-spouse: 'oh, what are you drawing?'

(c/n): 'ms. penny said to draw my family. this is me; I'm a prince/princess.'

ex-spouse: "oh, is this your mommy and daddy, then?"

his family is VERY intriguing to me. arian has said that he has an idea of what stewy's backstory is but that he didn't want to discuss it in canon, so we'll never know for sure. my personal headcanon is that stewy's parents are immigrants and that he's first-gen -- I think his parents and his older sister came to the US from iran a few years before stewy was born. I don't want to speak to an experience that I know nothing about so I won't expand too much, but that's just my basic idea! he 100% grew up with sisters -- one older, one younger (yes he's a middle child. I know he is). I think there's probably like a 4-5 year age gap between each of them, maybe slightly more between stewy and his older sister. he had the experience of being the Only Boy in his family, which I think makes sense for how he acts in canon lol.

and he's close with his family!! absolutely!! it's fascinating to me that we now have canon info about stewy's dad -- that he's still alive and older than logan by like 10-12 years. but that's all we know! I think he's also very close with his mom (only son = total mama's boy) and his sisters. he texts his sisters at least every other day and I just KNOW that man is an uncle and absolutely spoils his sisters' kids.

I do think his family is well-off, but definitely not roy levels of rich. they had enough money to send stewy to buckley, which is a ridiculously elite and expensive school, so clearly they were at least relatively wealthy. maybe his dad was also involved in business, similar to logan, but just not at the same tier. I think probably his fam made enough money to get their kids started off and then stewy was able to take his share of it and make himself ridiculously rich.

I think stewy had feelings for kendall when they were younger in the way that queer kids always have crushes on their best friends but don't really understand it. and that probably lasted until they were in college -- stewy always knew that there was no chance, but it didn't stop him from having those feelings :( but I think that when they went to harvard he was able to start meeting other people and having his first few relationships with guys and eventually got over his childhood crush.

I think he's not really a relationship guy in the sense that he's never had a serious, long-term relationship, but that he doesn't really feel like he's missing out on anything. his mindset is just that if he meets the right person, then that's great, but if not, then he's fine on his own, too. and hmmm I think that his love language in terms of how he shows love is through gift giving and quality time. he just likes to be around people he likes and is also a master at gift giving -- he knows exactly what people want and always finds something that's very high quality without being so expensive that it's a stupid purchase. and on the receiving end I think he's a physical touch and words of affirmation type of guy :) he's a cuddler for sure.

Does crowhare count. I literally cannot fucking stand that ship or its shippers. Though I guess I just hate crowfeather ships in general. Fernivy supporters are also pretty annoying in any ivypool ship discourse. I'm very tempted to put heatherbreeze fans here even though I'm a heatherbreeze fan only bc I do not trust a lot of people to care about heathertail like I do.

Oh this one is hard for me to answer because most characters I hate, I also hate in canon and also the fandom is insufferable about them. Crowfeather and bramblestar both don't count now. So I'm tempted to saaaaay ivypool or mapleshade. Which sucks bc I do like them!!!! I am a fan of them. But like other ivypool fans for the longest time were the worst. Especially about dovewing. I like ivypool bc of her spite and how she uses a conflict with her sister to literally endanger several cats. But both the authors and the fans think she was right in that action. She is girlfail. To me. Mapleshade for obvious reasons. She is a very well written villain, but she keeps being pushed into stories she had no business being in. Also if you say you're a fan of mapleshade, people automatically group you in with the apologism discourse surrounding her character.

8. common fandom opinion that everyone is wrong about?

me putting crowfeather on every single answer bc that's how much I hate him. I hate those putting one of the three in windclan aus that make him a good father. He would not be a good father, not even to one of the three. Bramblestar being a good father to any of his kids? Bad as well. Though the authors probably want you to see him as a good father. Also I know you said this earlier but I hesitate to put it on here: transfem nightheart or tree. I hesitate bc I know some people see themselves in these characters and are just projecting. But they literally are just "I hate the women in my life" and also "misandry is REAL" storylines I don't care for. My hot take is that breezepelt being transfem is better bc he has several good relationships with the women in his life lmao. Also, like......I know people hate the idea of kits who die only remain kits forever. But I think if the way starclan cats appear was based on the particular living cats memory or perception of them. Like if it was their mother, of course, they would remember them as a kit! But if it's a different cat that didn't know them? They might appear as an adult. I only like this idea bc of the sadness of a starclan cat appearing before their alive parent and they show up as a kitten, even though they were an adult when they died (trope of a parent will always remember their kid as their little baby).

I was preparing for my trip to TX. me and my friends went to go see stray kids on March 26th(the postponed concert). it was my first kpop concert I've ever been too! it was amazing, and all the stays i talked were so sweet. they ran out of lightsticks :(( BUT!! I got a hoodie!

lino did amazing! his stage presence is scary good! i could watch him dance for hours. at last song, he did the dance from twice's new song out of nowhere. the lino and jisung moments were so cute. and every part of FAM was probably my fav! and lino did very well on his speech! in lesser words: IM SO PROUD OF HIM! one thing I did noticed was that when lino was singing his lil solo part when it's 4 of the members on stage. he was being very careful with his voice, like he was ab to lose it. so I hope lino is taking it as easy/resting as much as he can.

seungmin was absolutely hilarious, just him and his personality. and his jokes(mainly towards chan, "covid can what?"...."covid can f off."). AMAZING AND TALENTED VOCALIST! JESUS, HE HIT EVERY NOTE PREFECTLY!😭 he looked like a prince istg!

changbin....I was memorized by each time he came on screen or when i panned my phone arcoss the stage. voice and stage presence! changbin's fan enteractions, every chance he got he was with stays. and changbin holding up chan arm when chan asked if they were any parents there was so funny.

hyunjin. this man always goes all in. i felt like i was in a trance watching him preform. his lil dancy dance during FAM. again, he did an amazing job. similar to jisung, he has a great mix of being professional and engaging/having fun with stays. like you can tell he loves doing this.

i.n 👏🏽👏🏽 vocals on point. his dancing, imo was phenomenal(besides lino)!! I loved seeing him preform and just the look in his eyes when he would look up in the crowd was just 🥺 I LOVE HIM. I think he became one of my bias wreckers😅

seeing felix in person felt like a fever dream. his presence is just beautiful. during all in, at the last chours, he was too busy having fun with stays to realize he had to go back with the rest of the kids and finish the song with the dance. but he was so fun to watch! what you see in the videos- how he acts and dancing and rap/sing, he always at 1000%.

now...mr. bang chan, the loml😩 jkjk, unless👀. I couldn't believe he was actually real. my friend started laughing at me bc I was just in complete awe. same with felix, how he acts during channies room and all the videos of him singing, dancing, anything is how he is in person. Okay so I have a couple questions! You’ve moved before, and it’s my first time moving, but I was wondering how you know a place is right for you? (I’m asking bc you have experience, but also bc I think we’re in the same county)

Like I found an apartment home complex that seems beautiful, very naturey and on paper ideal for me and my parents. But the yelp reviews+ other sites say otherwise (ex: roaches (in unit), mice (outside), etc) which a part of me is 🤷🏻‍♀️ bc it has a lot of nature features like streams and trees and it kind of comes with the territory. And I honestly don’t know how seriously to take it? Since I’ve never apartment hunted before idk how much value this has, my current complex has shitty reviews (granted only like 5 reviews total) but I’ve had a fine experience since I’ve lived there my whole life, and to me those reviews are not necessarily accurate. There are a couple great reviews too, but idk how much weight they hold either. With the negative reviews, are these just the “small” batch of tenants that had a bad experience or is it worth taking into account? And every complex’s reviews always say “rent elsewhere”, “management sucks”, “they lie about XYZ”, there’s ALWAYS something negative about a place, and idk how much value it has

When I showed up unexpectedly to the new complex the maintenance guys were working and it was quiet (at noon-ish on a Tuesday), then I went with my mom a day or two later and same thing, appeared to be quiet with the maintenance guys working), then my parents went on a Sunday and simply said there were a few stray cats. When we toured the leasing lady also said she lives on site, which to me felt more promising that it wasn’t a complete shit hole. I also saw a guy walking his dog and he didn’t look like he was in hell so idk

Honestly, I didn't even think to read reviews of the places I moved to. I kinda don't take reviews (especially of non-food things) too seriously because like you said it's kinda iffy on how much value there is on people just making vague complaints when it happens no matter where you are. For things like roaches/mice, I'd question where was their unit? Was it near the community trash room (if there is one) or an area where dumpsters are? Was it on the 1st or 2nd floor? There's more likely to be bugs hanging around if you're closer to those.

If there's stray cats, mice might not be a problem because those cats may even be hunting any mice in the area. I think you showing up to the new complex unexpectedly is such a good idea, you've gone multiple times and it seems promising. I think how you've handled apt hunting has been really good! My main things when I looked for places to move were things like:

Is it near a busy street? Is that street a popular route home for people working/going to school? How's the traffic in the area?

How accessible are things like grocery stores/restaurants? gas stations?

What kind of people are living in the same complex? Families? College kids? Older people/retirees? What about the area? Is it near a school?

You could also check neighborhood rating sites (I can't remember the one I used sry) to see the walkability/safety of the area too to get a better idea.

Also keep in mind if you have any specific amenities. For example I really value having my own parking spot, or at least a designated area for parking because the cities I've lived in had god awful parking. I also look for things like how close Asian grocery stores are since I get most of my food from those. Just specific stuff like that if you have preferences

I don't know if this is the right place to ask about this type of relationship but I recently got into a queer platonic relationship and I need some help.

About four months ago I asked my best friend if she wanted to be in a qpr with me. I've been friends with her for 17 years; we grew up together, went to school together, our siblings were born at the same time, we've been planning to live together after we graduate college for almost two years now, and her parents have said multiple times that my sister and I are basically their kids at this point. For the last three or four years, I've also had a squish (platonic crush) on her and have been dreaming about our life together. I was terrified when I finally asked her if she wanted to be in a qpr but she was really excited about it. She also thought we were already in one tho which was a bit embarrassing lol I was absolutely over the moon after

A few days later, we called to actually define it a bit more concretely. She said I could call her my partner but she would prefer to continue calling me her best friend. Which is an accurate label, I am her best friend, but doesn't feel like the same status as I'm giving her. She said the reasoning for this was because she's interested in also perusing a romantic partner and calling me her partner would be confusing/off putting for people. Which makes sense but it still hurt. She also said that if on the slim chance she does find a serious long term romantic partner, she would live with them after graduation instead and wouldn't want me living with them because it would be too many adults in the house. I tried to play it cool but I was very hurt by this; like I said earlier, we've been planning to live together after school for several years but she would give that up for a romantic partner. I don't feel romantic attraction so she is all I have and it feels like she's not valuing our relationship or commitment (i mean 17 years???) bc it's platonic. I was so upset about this that I thought abt breaking up w her for a few days. I knew it was a stupid rash decision tho even as I was thinking abt it and I'm very glad I didn't. It would be dumb to give up years of yearning a few days into a relationship over a hypothetical romantic partner who doesn't even exist right now.

I was also very surprised at myself and my reaction. I always assumed that if I did ever get into a relationship, it would be a poly one; they just made more sense to me. Now that my partner having other partners is actually an option tho I feel very jealous and angry. It may be because I'm not actually polyamorous like I thought I was or it might be because I haven't seen her in so long and I'm jealous of the people who get to see her all the time. We're going to school across the country from each other and she's fully moved out so she lives there even during the summer. I can count on one hand the number of times I've seen her in the last two years so the idea of her having a partner that gets to see her every day isn't my favorite thing lol I've got two more years of school, she's got three (she's doing a nursing program so it takes longer), neither of us own a car or even know how to drive, and we're too broke/busy for plane tickets... so it's going to be a while until I can see her again

She's talking to a boy rn. They've went on five dates in abt the last two months but then he suddenly started ghosting her abt three weeks ago. I know I shouldn't be happy abt it but when she told me I was. I haven't told her that tho; I've been listening to her vent and trying to offer advice and be supportive even tho I have no experience w that

I miss her so much. I want to kiss her and buy her gifts and cook for her even tho she's got almost every eating restriction under the sun and I can't cook for shit and I want to take care of her cat even tho I hate cats and when she calls me it brightens my day and I want to keep track of her doctor appointments and take our meds together and I want to live with her and I want to marry her. I don't want to break up. And I know that I'm getting way ahead of myself (it's only been four months for christs sake, why am I thinking abt marriage???) and to avoid future problems I should probably tell her how I'm feeling -not abt her current romantic drama but abt her romantic pursuits in general- but I'm very nonconfrontational and don't know how to go about it. Hello, I’m having a good day and this is the right place to ask!

I understand that there is a difference in the status you’re giving her vs what she is giving you, however it would be good to note how a platonic relationship is viewed in general sense. Which is a relationship without sexual or romantic feelings. If those feelings start to develop, then we begin to venture outside of the definition of a platonic relationship. I understand get that a PQR can be something “more than friends,” but for your partner, she may not view a PQR the same way you do. I think part of her wanting to stick to having the best friend label is that a best friend is strictly platonic without a restriction of commitment. That could be why she said you already were in one since from her perspective, you two are already best friends which is a type of platonic relationship.

I want to say I get being hurt by her possibly going to live with someone else if she met them. Like you two have been planning this for a long time so I get that. But from her perspective, she hasn’t really seen you that much in the past two years and housing is kind of a big issue for a lot of folks. It is often easier to find housing with someone if they are physically around more so she may need to keep her options open just to ensure she has a roof over her head at the end of the day.

So in regards to your question: you are aromantic, but your partner is not, and she is looking for someone who is giving her romance which is why she’s dating despite being in the PQR. It’s why it may be unfair to your partner to tell her how to handle her romantic pursuits since you two are looking for different things . Trying to change that for her just isn’t going to work because it doesn’t match what she wants in her life. I just view this as a differing in relationship goals unfortunately.

I think it would be good to consider a couple of things, for one how you view the definition of a QPR versus how your partner views a QPR and to take sometime to think about what it is you’re looking for in a relationship.

For the QPR, I think it would be good to talk to your friend to see what you guys view a PQR as because it may be helpful to get that in the air and discuss what the expectations are for that. Maybe your partner views it differently than you and actually doesn’t want to be in a PQR. Maybe your parter views it the same way and you can then take the time to talk to them and let them know what you would like and see if they would be willing to follow up with that.

In regards to thinking about what you want: I’m not the person to be defining things for you since you are the one who knows yourself the best. However, I will say through your ask you’ve said a couple of things that seemed to indicate that you could be looking for something else than a platonic relationship or poly. Things like marriage, kissing, and asking them not to date anyone, these are usually qualities of a monogamous romantic/sexual relationship from my perspective. It definitely sounds like poly isn’t right for you since you will have to be okay with your partner going on dates with other people so I recommend taking some time to write down for yourself what an ideal relationship looks like.

So it sounds like you are still figuring out things for yourself and what you want given that you were surprised by your reactions and based on how you talk about your partner. I think it would be good to figure out “why” you feel this way. Like maybe there you do just view your partner as purely platonic and are hurt because it is a little daunting to have someone so close want to get close to someone else or maybe you are hurt because you are starting to have romantic feelings about this person too.

There’s a lot of blurred lines and platonic relationship generally doesn’t involve the level of commitment you are interested in so it may be good if you took some time to figure out if platonic relationships is actually what you want. Especially considering that you are talking about things like marriage, kissing, and asking them not to date anyone. I understand that you said you don’t feel romantic attraction, but the qualities of a relationship you describe seem to relate more to romance and sexuality than they do platonic love.

I want to say I get being hurt by her possibly going to live with someone else if she met them. Like you two have been planning this for a long time and you’ve known each other your whole lives. But, it is good to note though that you two haven’t been physically together for a while so it is understandable why she’d want to keep her options open housing wise because it can be easier to make housing decisions with people when you see then regularly in person.

I think they were a bit mishandled in chot (could expand on that later on a different post) and it's my understanding that this will be post tid and pre kids when they were young, hot (not that they will ever not be hot) and reckless and I'm living for it

Clace I'm not really invested in this couple, but I dont hate them and wouldn't oppose reading about them, I actually dont know that much about them.I read tmi many years ago, forgot virtually everything, and only got the gist of what happened when I took to read tda and the tales of the academy during the pandemic, when I effectively came back to the fandom and started reading again after many years of teenage angst and a massive reading slump.I genuinely don't remember their story in Tmi and to me they are that cool couple that featured in tda and is bffs with Malec and Simon and I fully understand the irony of that considering they were the ones to start it all

Arianna The only story I would actually skip, and God do I feel bad for saying this about the only sapphic couple on this list.Ari is in essence a fascinating character, and I think it's a shame she was mostly sidelined in tlh.Imo, like Grace, she had the makings of a protagonist and would've been a more compelling and complex main character than both James and Cordelia (not that I dont love those two, this is not about likeability).I like the idea of Anna, but not the final product. I think she should've been better developed and properly redeemed for it to work, but I get that the tlh cast was huge and there were more prominent characters to attend to.I feel like CC aimed for Sid from the midnight lie (I LOVE this book and its author btw, but the second and final one is sloppy, especially when you consider the masterpiece that the winners trilogy is.Rutkoski could've served it, she was just not feeling like it) but didn't have the time page to go all the way.All in all, I don't think they should've ended up together and don't root for this couple

Jordelia I'm conflicted on this one.Chog and Choi Jordelia is flawless, addictive, I ate up every crumb of it and asked for more.Chot Jordelia not only lost its delicious, playful dynamic (you could see they were friends first and foremost, it was wonderful) but has a Bridgertonness quality to it that I just couldn't stand.I'll never get over chot James comparing Cordelia to a dish and using the world deflower.To me that's fanfic, I refuse to acknowledge it, the James from the previous books would shoot him for that shit.CC wrote this for no other reason than she wanted to tho, no deadline, no pressure, so there's a great chance of this being Jordelia back to its roots, and on that case, I would be eager for it

Sebastian and the queen I'm probably the only person in this fandom who wants to read that story and I'm not sorry lol.I always thought Ash's existence to be the randomest fucking thing.Oh yeah evil Sebastian fucked the equally evil queen and now we have this little winged dude guy here, his name is Ash.I don't think this will be important to twp bc otherwise it would've been officially published, as other people have said, but for CC to write this spontaneously and afterwards WANT for this story to see the light of day, despite how controversial it would be? I'm a curious creature in essence, and my curiosity has been peaked.I get people being frustrated tho, I myself was annoyed at Sebastian featuring in Tda.I was like, this dude? Again? Rubbish release us, release him, release yourself.But yeah I want to read it nonetheless

Jemma I think they are either getting engaged or taking a break to get back together in twp.Its the only thing that would justify a short-story so soon after the novella, nothing will change my mind.I love them, but a break would actually be good for them individually bc they perceive themselves as a unit (and honestly how could they not?), but in sobh emma was thrilled at the idea of being proposed to and then a bit disappointed when julian did pop the question, so that may have been a hint

Thomastair Its the one I'm looking most forward to after Wessa.It will be sweet, hilarious, romcomish and I'm living for it.If it's a few years after chot, sona died (ops how tragic) and now the three of them are a little family with a dog my life would be complete.No I don't like Sona, Zachary should've been born sooner and she should've died saving alastair in chot, that would be the only that could've redeemed her to me.Her this is fine attitude makes my blood boil even now.She cared more for Elias, a very shitty husband at that, than for her own children, to the detriment of said children.I could yap about this all day

Luke and Jocelyn I don't really care for this couple, their story gives me anxiety, they are two idiots and I honestly don't know who is worse, but I'm curious nonetheless and would def read it.I would prefer to read about Grace, Matt and each and every one of the tid minor couples before them, but it is what it is

Also I don't think malec not featuring is a big deal, they'll have a book solely focused on them soon enough, calm down bitches (affectionately)

All my first thoughts are over here. I'm a Clace defender, I'm their oldest stan, I'm a veteran👩‍🦳 So I feel like I have a right to say that...it was kinda unnecessary. We've witnessed every step in their relationship so far, beginning of it in TMI, gentle transition to adulthood in TDA and Tales of Shadowhunter Academy, adulthood in SOBH and proposal. So if the story isn't about their wedding then WHAT THE HELL IS IT ABOUT REALLY? And we know that they won't get married until twp.

Hey🥺that is nice, we've seen so little of them in chain of thorns and I've loved them since their debut in 2018 in that short story. I'm very biased when it comes to TLH, cause I'm their mother. So YAY🌱they have a long way to go, Anna still needs to change a tiny little bit for them to be healthy, so I'd love to witness it

Lots of people defend it by saying that it might be important for Ash's background in TWP. But... No it's not. Because this is exclusive book made for few people who were lucky and financially stable enough to get it. It won't be posted online. So most people won't read it unless someone leaks it. So there's no point for that story to be important for the plot, therefore it has nothing to do with it.

And it's definitely not "one of the most beloved" couples. BUT LIKE... WHAT IF IT SLAYS? Toxic, unhinged romance, what if I'll love it? 🤡

Even though we've had lots of them in TMI and Shadowhunters Academy I still think they deserve to be here. They are famous (I guess? 👁👁) and I'd like to know more about their plans for future. Simon was still a teenager in the stories collection and now I'd love to see him as a grown man being in relationship with the woman he loves.

Well... That was... Unexpected. I guess... I've just never met their fandom but I hope it's huge af, because I don't know why else would they be here. Sophideon, Gabrily and Charlotte with Henry were supposed to be here, let's be honest. But since they're here, I do think Cassie is able to make a decent story. I expect it to be bittersweet, angsty and somehow heartwarming. I think there's nothing to say except let's wait and find out.

OVERALL I think it's pretty fine. Maximum 7/10 from me. I was ready to face the worst, but it turned out to be... Fine. So it's fine☺🌱
