So I really hate Derek on DWTS and I literally always have and now there’s all this nonsense about him tonight which is making this all more unbearable than usual and I just need this to move on

ough this interaction. also the fact that morgan is the one who calls hotch a drill sergeant in revelations and it's what hotch repeats to him here,,the implication that at least part of him was genuinely hurt by the team all naming what they thought was his worst quality. any reminder that hotch is human hits me in the gut. also hotch and morgan's dynamic... the begrudging respect that becomes admiration that becomes friendship. hhh.

Baby Mine

The baby (because that’s what it is, he keeps reminding himself. A baby) Is this ugly wrinkly thing in his arms. This tiny, freak of nature that ripped it’s way out of his stomach and tore up the world. The doctors tell him he should hold it shirtless. That skin on skin is important. He tries not to look at where it lays on his chest and refuses to look in the mirror. It would probably be all too familiar. Deathly pale skin, black circles he knows will take weeks to sleep away. Weeks he doesn’t have. Not with the baby.

He let’s the dad name it. Him. It’s a boy, whatever it is. Derek say’s he’s probably a werewolf. Stiles doesn’t really now what that means. He knows it’s Derek’s though, however that happened. Those bright little eyes. Derek said he’d take it  look after him. For a little while. While Stiles sorts things out. 

He never quite recovered from the madness of the nogitsune, and the baby is nothing but a reminder of it. He can feel what they share with the fox. The link connecting them. Like if he looks down, that same madness will collapse between them both. A spill from him to the baby, and the baby to him. He tries to smile. Derek is just so happy. It’s everything he ever wanted. A family. A proper family. Stiles should feel proud that he gave him that. But all he wants to do is leave the thing on the side of the road, in a box and a blanket. With a little note and the words beware. It feels dangerous to hold. The weeks go by, and the idea becomes more and more tempting.

Dad says it’s just the stress getting to him. That when he goes to the shops and leaves Eli in the car it’s just and accident. He’s tired. That’s just it. Then he forgets to feed him, and Derek say’s maybe he should take a few days off/

He dreams of the baby. Of fire, and darkness. He dreams that it isn’t real. That it’s a changeling, tunnelling it’s way into their lives. It’s just dreams. But Stiles has thought that before, and he has to make sure. They tell him later that he’d lost touch with reality. Again. That he was hallucinating, and that’s why he did what he did. Eli was fine, thankfully. A real boy it turns out. They tell him it was because of the birth. Postpartum- blah blah blah. It doesn’t matter. He Isn't supposed to do this. He isn’t supposed to carry, or raise or anything. Derek doesn’t understand.

That’s okay. He’s good at this. He’ll be fine without him. Eli will definitely be fine without him. And they are. For fifteen years, they handle it.

Then Derek had to go up and die, and suddenly Stiles was supposed to be a parent again? “You don’t need me kid.” He reminds the boy.

“Yes I do!” Eli barged through the door with a scream. He’s in pain. His dad’s dead. Everything hurts, but this pain? This rejection from Stiles? It’s a pain he’s known since birth.  “I’ve always needed you! Especially now! Because Dad’s gone and-”

Please don’t say it.

“-you’re my Mom.” He says it with finality. Like the sad fact it is. “You.” He whispers. 

They both wish it wasn’t true, but it’s pointless. They’re connected. Through a bond they’ve tried to deny Eli’s entire life. But they are unquestionably linked. By the madness of the nogitsune. By the familial bonds of motherhood. By the grief that premeditates the air. Stiles remembers a five year old boy, telling him the exact same thing. He can no more deny Eli’s declaration now, than he could back then.

He has Derek’s eyes.

What do you think would be the reactions of the Romance Kingdom versions of the characters finding out about their Cookie counterparts and their lives?

Like, just one day one of them’s like, “what if…there was a world where we were living food? Like, cookies or something?” And then just a version of Croissant appears (whether it be their human version, the Cookie version, or both of them) and is just like “well as a matter of fact…” and then just explains the Kingdom versions of themselves

I feel like the reactions would be on a spectrum of Herbert’s “oh it’s basically the same as now only I’m not in school and have plant powers. Cool” to Derek’s now everlasting trauma

Also it’d just be funny if they were being told about their Cookie lives in which they live in a great fantasy world and have magic powers and important roles, and Herbert’s like “oh okay, so what do I do, what am I in this world?” Only for Croissant to be like “oh, you’re just like, a florist. I mean you have some amount of plant powers, but like. You’re just a guy” and he’s a bit disappointed. Like, everyone else has something cool going on and then there’s just Herb (Kind of like that scene in the Lego Ninjago Movie where they all learn their powers and Lloyd just gets “green”)

ANGST time for Hotch.

Rossi and Gideon were originally suppose to arrest him, but because of circumstances they chose to let him help them as their own Indic!

So yeah, they grew attach to their arachkid so when that big time happened, they just couldn’t being as professional as they supposed to be.

Hotch got severely injured during his fight (probably against Peter Lewis because he chose chemicals too drugs his victims in the show). The city is on fire because of chemicals so yeah his burned scars is a chemical ones.

A Life with Luca series that includes 4 oneshots and a 4-5 chaptered story (I hope it's not more than that...), plus another 1-2 chaptered story (maybe??? If Casey gets her way???)

kick at the darkness 'till it bleeds daylight: --Wave 'Em Like You Care (the sequel to No White Flags, aka, the fall semester of fluff and smut) --Odds Are Long (the sequel to Hand and Hand in Glove, aka the summer afterwards) --an epistle fic set during Derek's first year of Queen's (when Casey is in NY) --Dasey's wedding fic (currently named, "Like Some Kind of Ball and Chain)

Vampire!Casey series that includes another four oneshots? I think? Maybe only three, we'll see how they are

Life with Derek, the Teenage Werewolf fic which is roughly 1/3 done at over 33k. So... That'll get done... Eventually...

The Mustache Fic which is gonna be a blast if I ever get to it.

I ALSO have four or five parts of the kick at the darkness series outlined but nothing written yet; another two fics outlined for the mustache trilogy; another 7 Dasey stories that if they're not totally outlined are mostly outlined; AND THEN another6-9 stories where I have thoughts written down but nothing really set in stone as to whether they get written or not.

So... There's a lot. Don't worry, y'all, the content isn't running out anytime soon... *weeps*

Derek would feel guilty because the first thing that went through his head when he realized was not 'he's so young' or 'what am I doing'. It was 'thank God it's him'.

Because you are so right. Derek would feel like the worst person in the world. He would freak out. But not because it's Stiles. Derek trusts Stiles more than he does anyone else. This is canon information, given that Stiles is Derek's anchor, meant to literally calm him down and be his safe space. Derek would wallow in manpain about it, but being in love with Stiles is the easiest thing in the world for him.

Stiles wouldn't hurt him. He wouldn't use him. He wouldn't betray him. Stiles may not love him, but Derek is okay with fearing for his heart, as opposed to his life.

So like I understand the whole Derek freaks out when he realizes that he’s in love with stiles thing. Cause, sure, valid after everything he been through.

But like I also feel that he would be so relieved. That it’s stiles. Stiles is someone who is safe to fall in love with. Not in the sense of “oh he loves me back so I won’t get my heart broken” (he does) but like in the sense of it won’t be used against him.

Stiles has saved his life over and over again, has kept his secrets and defend him. And Derek cannot help but feel relief of the fact that it’s stiles who has his heart . Because it’s entirely safe with him. Stiles would not abuse him like any of his past relationships. It’s not something the Derek has to worry about. And that just makes it easier to fall deeper in love with him.
