the soft makeup sponge gently tapped against jennie’s skin. her eyes remained shut, doing her best to stay awake at this hour of the morning. two other stylists worked on her hair while the makeup artist shuffled around her face, applying the final touches before her own busy day began.

vogue photoshoot at noon, elle interview at 3:00, and then her flight to paris at 6:00.

she mentally went over her itinerary for the day, her mind focused on the professional obligations ahead, each task meticulously planned to maintain her public persona. despite the flurry of activity around her, jennie's thoughts kept returning to the great idea of her simply canceling on everyone and spending her entire day in bed with her dogs.

the soft hum of the television in the background barely registered for her until she heard a sound she’d never imagined hearing from a tv. 

“i’m ivory!”

her eyes snapped open just in time to see her daughter’s face flash across the screen through the reflection in the vanity mirror in front of her. 

the makeup artist paused, sensing the shift in jennie's demeanor, but said nothing, allowing her a moment of privacy amidst the bustling preparation. 

jane ivory. my ivory.

jennie whispered her daughter’s name over and over again in her mind. it was only a few seconds of an advertisement for their group’s debut, but all she could do was replay the moments of ivory’s face in her mind. as the segment on le sserafim ended, her emotions swirled—a mixture of pride, regret, and an overwhelming sense of loss. 

her daughter’s radiant smile on the screen pierced through the layers of professional composure that jennie kim had carefully cultivated over the years. she blinked back tears, unable to tear her gaze away from the mirror in front of her.

the little girl she left behind was now an adult. 

“did something get in your eye?” her makeup artist asked gently, trying not to dig too deep into the idols emotions.

she took a deep breath, trying to compose herself as she wrestled with the flood of emotions threatening to overwhelm her. the makeup artist's gentle inquiry broke through the silence, but jennie couldn't bring herself to respond immediately.

“just a moment,” she managed to say, her voice betraying a hint of vulnerability. she reached for a tissue, dabbing at her eyes discreetly as she fought to regain her composure. the weight of years of absence bore down on her shoulders, a burden she had carried silently for too long.

as she looked at her own reflection, the woman saw traces of the person she had become—a successful idol, a fashion icon, and a global star. 

but beneath the carefully curated image lay the ache of a mother who had missed out on so much. 

the television continued to play in the background, the sound of a local pizza ad replacing the sweet tone of her daughter’s voice just moments ago. jennie closed her eyes briefly, willing herself to stay strong. she had grown accustomed to wearing masks—both on stage and in her personal life—but at this moment, those masks threatened to crumble.

“it was just an eyelash,” she finally replied, her voice steadier as she met the makeup artist's gaze. “please continue.” with a subtle nod, she signaled for the preparations to continue, silently resolving to confront the emotions that had been stirred awake.

throughout the rest of the day—through the photoshoot, the interviews, and the flight to paris—jennie couldn't shake the memory of her baby girl’s smile. the emptiness of the private cabin offered her a rare moment of solitude, where she allowed herself to feel the weight of regret and longing.

she scrolled through her jane’s debut photos, her heart aching with a mixture of pride and sorrow as she scrolled through ivory's debut photos on her phone. each image captured her daughter's radiant presence, the same smile jennie had seen earlier on the screen. tears blurred her vision as she traced the familiar contours of the young girl’s face with her fingertip.

alone with her thoughts and the distant city lights below, jennie wept for the daughter she had been absent from, and for the years lost to ambition and fame.

I was clearing out my phone photo album for the new year and realized I have way too many screenshots of queer Dani stuff, so let's talk about it.

Danielle Moonstar and Rahne Sinclair are a duo who stand out to me, even among all the many "this is clearly meant to be gay" characters and pairings that populate the X-Men, because of how explicit it is? They are not the only Claremont women to call each other their "soul mate" or "soul-mate," but they are the ones still doing it into the modern day.

They have a psychic rapport with each other which is constantly used to advance the plot. The fact they specifically can find each other is important to their stories... Here, you can even see Warlock pondering the nature of their relationship, though whether he is speculating on them being gay "I know what you are"-style or still learning about the concept of love in general is up to interpretation.

They smooch! They hug! They cuddle!

They go on date-like activities together! Dani won her a teddy bear!

I feel like you could have them be a queerplatonic thing and/or a romantic gay gay homosexual gay thing - either works - but it feels kind of silly to me that we've hit 2024 and these two are still not officially life partners in some form...

... though I do feel like there's a third person worth mentioning here too.

When Kate Pryde ran out on Xuân Cao Mạnh, doing her signature move of "abandoning a Sapphic relationship right when it gets serious," Danielle Moonstar was the one who showed up to replace her... Literally. Xuân Cao Mạnh was getting her college diploma and Dani literally showed up to take her seat at her graduation.

Dani brings Xuân back to Xaiver's Academy, with her becoming one of the main teachers at the academy for that era. Rahne, at this point, was busy going through a "What if this Good Christian Girl... went BAD?!?!?" phase and the less spoken about that the better, but Xuân and Dani got to be the main duo for a bit.

Xuân was already an out lesbian by now, so there's a weird subplot where Dani meets a lesbian barista and tries to set Xuân up with her in a "I know two lesbians, therefore they should kiss" way.

It's weird, but feels relatively realistic as something for a closeted queer girl to do to her openly-gay BFF in the early 2000s... also the fact that Dani claims to be straight to Prodigy, bisexual icon who knows everyone's sexuality because of his superpowers, is very funny to me.

Xuân and Rahne don't really have much going on between each other specifically, but you can take this panel from the first issue of New Mutants out-of-context and make it look like they do... Like, this is gay werewolf culture in a way, right?

It also probably merits mentioning that, in the modern era again now, the Infinity Comic Karma in Love had a fake-out where Xuân thought that Dani was hooking up with her girlfriend, Ellie Diwa AKA Galura...

And in the latest New Mutant series, Karma, Galura, Dani, and Rahne are the leaders and have big dad energy... all four of them are the dads. I stand by this characterization.

ANYWAY. Point being. Dani and Rahne should be able to kiss on-panel on the lips by now and maybe Xuân and Elle can join from time to time too... They're cute. They're fun. They were explicitly gay in the movie. This one feels really overdue.

I promise you that any anime (or other show but I swear it is mainly animes) with two or more male characters will have an animatic for this song. It just will, of is the natural part of the process of a fandom becoming popular. People know this song even if they think they don't know this song. It is so catchy it eats you from the inside out.

It's legally blonde and a musical which is prine queer culture. Fandom is queer culture. Plus it's a banger song with a lot of fun animatics. A lot of other "fandom" songs are kinda really sad (Two Birds cough cough) and this one is just silly goofy. It's also just the right decision.

There were SO MANY of these back in the day like i swear no m/m fandom ship was immune. Extra points if the character was actually european

look, it's a classic. try and find a fandom without an animatic to gay or european. you could find one for nearly any fandom for multiple characters even. the "i thought you said...best friend" set of lines is used in incorrect quote posts to this day. it's iconic, it's a classic, we all know and love it

Let Me Introduce You: International Woman's Day Special

I haven’t done this in a while but in honour of international women’s day I’m bringing it back for just one day! It’s been years but my point is still valid, in fact, The expansion of foreign media in recent years means exposure to more female leads and characters, Not to mention History, mythology, powerful female characters have always been there. It’s not new. So those who dismiss women as something they never see at the center in film or those who complain there’s a girlboss epidemic, do not engage. You all need to buy brains.

And trans women are included because I don’t care for TERFs.

There are so many different examples I could use including every action woman of Pam Grier’s career or really early characters like Johanna Oakley [The String of Pearls aka the original Sweeney Todd] but I’m going to settle for these lassies who actually had posts in the works that I never got around to.

With the release of the pleasantly surprising sequel Dawn of the Nugget, I would like to mention Ginger, who remains a complete rebel without fail, even when she’s desperate and disillusioned, she gets an idea and it’s back to work. Talk about a determined freedom fighter. Solitary cannot keep this bird down.

this gem starts off as a spoiled sweet brat whose life turns into a saga of betrayal and redemption as she becomes a fugitive in her own land and has to learn to exist outside four walls. Her gradual acceptance of her family’s shortcomings and her own journey into a leader from a distraught fallen princess is fascinating to see.

Mama Bear made woman. Dare you to contradict. This woman lives for her kids and not even her dead-end job or useless police or shifty as hell scientists will stop her. even if you think she’s crazy she doesn’t give a shite. DO. NOT. MESS. WITH. HER. KIDS. plus she’s played by Winona Ryder. Icon and one of my favorite actresses.

Gracie Hart

Miss Congeniality ages better and better with every passing year as does its lead character. Who actually does feel like a real person seriously give this woman social media and tell me I’m wrong. She starts off as dismissive and scornful to the contestants of a beauty pageant she’s investigating and then becomes more understanding and protective of them all without losing her badass edge. I would SO watch a crossover with her and Elle Woods.

So there you have it. Some great female characters that differ in personality from different pieces of media. Should I bring this series back? It won’t be daily like before but I could squeeze one in weekly. Contemplate it while you enjoy International Women’s Day.

My favorite movies are the ones about the '90s rave scene, so releasing a track like this feels very full-circle.What is the mood board for “Like U?”BS: When I listen to it, I kinda start to picture my sister’s bedroom when we were little kids. It smells like Limited Too glitter body spray. Pink fuzzy mirrors, colorful beads everywhere, friendship bracelets, snap bands, the transparent pink and blue landline telephone. Bazooka bubble gum, nerf guns, laser tag, Spice World. It’s also like if Disney channel’s Zenon was an HBO Max show and the space station was a giant club orbiting the earth. That’s what I imagine. PN: Yes! Limited Too glitter body spray, yes! To me “Like U” looks like when you accidentally look immaculate because you’re wearing clothes you love, and you’re glowing from laughing and dancing with friends and they’re glowing too. It’s a bunch of sweaty besties giggling on the dance floor. Dear Studyblr, hello! I’m new and like almost everyone in this community I decided to create this study blog to find some motivation in my studies + life in general.

I also read a bit, studied German a bit and visited the cutest cafe on our street with some friends before we all drift apart for the summer. All in all, a very fun day.

I swear, February feels like it happened two months ago. Time isn't real, I agree. I will always be here to egg on your too much gene, because I also have that gene. As much as I love the cowboy Barbie costume, it was definitely overdone last year since the film was so fresh. But maybe you could get away with it this year, since hopefully more people won't have the same idea. Elle Woods in any form is always iconic, but especially the bunny costume. Or you could be like Karen from Mean Girls and be a mouse...duh! Part of me is tempted to bring back my Britney VMAs look, but I also don't want to be a costume repeater, when I know I can some up with something better. i still have yet to decide what it will be. If you have any free time in your busy tour schedule, maybe I can come fly out to wherever you are and we can hit up some costume shops or even thrift stores to see what we can find to piece together the perfect costumes?

right ? like, this year in general has flown by. it feels like a whole lifetime ago that i was in australia with taylor, but it was only february. i'm once again at the point of the year where i start talking about how time isn't real. ew. i love you for feeding into my too much gene like this. so, i know it's very last year but i ordered the barbie cowgirl costume, mostly 'cause margot looks so hot in it and i want to channel that energy. then also elle woods as the bunny because duh and just miscellaneous stuff like a zombie cheerleader, devil and witch. and now they're all here and i don't love any of them. do you know what you're going to go as this year ? thanks, babes. i've been doing my best to give the people the show that they deserve.

I can totally see y/n doing Harry’s iconic “this is a family show….. or is it” and everyone freaking out.

Her sparkly, revealing outfit shines under the bright stage lights as she walks around the spacious end part of the catwalk.

She has a gloved covered finger to her lips as she tries to get the crowd as quiet as possible. It was one of those segments where she tries to get the fans really quiet and then make them scream as loud as they possibly can.

Right as she brings the microphone to her mouth to bring the stadium out of their silence, a girl from somewhere in the crowd behind her screams, "Sit on my face!"

YN's eyes squint shut, her nose scrunching up as she bends down to place a hand on her knee as she bursts out in laughter. The crowd breaks and joins in with her laughter.

"Wha' the 'ell?" She manages to say in between giggles. YN turns around to the general direction of where she heard the fan and playfully shakes her head, "This is a family show!"

And the fans erupt into a fit of ear-piercing, excited screams. YN just smirks as she adjusts her ear-pieces, laughing to herself as the fans wait in anticipation for whats to come.

After a few beats go by, she casually draws out, "Or is it?"

She smiles as she watches the crowd just die in excitement and hysteria over using one of her boyfriend’s iconic phrases on tour. She's has her own sayings too that have carried themselves along since her 1d days.

One of her favorites was created during the band's first tour. She was still undergoing the training her management was forcing on her to embrace and become the epitome of the "good girl" image. She still wasn't quite there yet so her mouth's filter had yet to be fully cleansed.

So when reading questions fans sent in during the show, one of them was about relationship advise and how to tell if there are any red flags. After each boy answered and gave pretty detailed, helpful advice, YN merely shrugged and said, "If he ain't loyal, he ain't shit."

The fans went crazy over her filthy mouth and her getting an earful from her management team was was the understatement of the year. But her phrase had spread everywhere and soon fans started to come up with different variations of her phrase to fit different scenarios (and fans went insane over Harry's blue hat with her phrase on it and tried their best to figure out their inside fisherman joke was all about).

"Who are we kidding? Course it's not." YN laughs, only making the crowd scream louder. "And remember kids, if he ain't loyal..." YN extends her arms beside her, head thrown back as she mouths along to the crowd as they chant back, he ain't shit!

I promise you that any anime (or other show but I swear it is mainly animes) with two or more male characters will have an animatic for this song. It just will, of is the natural part of the process of a fandom becoming popular. People know this song even if they think they don't know this song. It is so catchy it eats you from the inside out.

It's legally blonde and a musical which is prine queer culture. Fandom is queer culture. Plus it's a banger song with a lot of fun animatics. A lot of other "fandom" songs are kinda really sad (Two Birds cough cough) and this one is just silly goofy. It's also just the right decision.

Don't come into my notes or my ask box complaining about them being included, I will simply block you. If a ship animatic included is about an adult and a minor, do tell me and I'll take it out of the post

ALSO keep in mind that I don't know all the artists submitted; in fact, even if I do know them I do not know absolutely nothing about them as people (I do not have twitter nor tiktok) and I could not POSSIBLY have the time to research ALL of the artists' controversies and what came of them so PLEASE don't flood my inbox with the artists' entire crime list.

✨Appreciation Post✨

I’m honestly in awe, today is 6 months since I wrote my first F1 essay which was the Lance Stroll one. Since then I have built the most incredible community on here and got to know some fantastic people who I want to shine a light on.

Today I also just passed 2k followers which is absolutely insane and I just wanted to give some appreciation to everyone. I’m really sorry if I forget someone, I do appreciate everyone of you
