It is one of my greatest pleasures in life to make No茅 be extremely confused whenever Vanitas tries to flirt with him.

hi !! i've been seeing your word posts on the vnc tag for awhile and they cheer me up a lot! i was just wondering what your whole "process" (for lack of a better word) is, if there is one, and what inspired you to start it in the first place? (sorry if you've been asked this before lol)
Hello, anon!
I'm so glad you like my magnet nonsense!
To answer your last question first: I have liked the idea of word magnets for years. It also occurred to me that they could be a good writing exercise (shameless self-promotion: BookDragonWrites on AO3). After all, unlike in normal writing, here I only have a fixed set of words to choose from, which forces me to think more carefully about my phrasing. Eventually, I decided to buy some (many) word magnets (mine are from Little Magnet Co. on Etsy, though I'm sure other sellers exist) and see how it went. VnC seemed like a fun topic, so here we are! I might at some point switch to a different fandom, but for now I still have plenty to say about VaNo茅 & co.
To answer your first question: I have a bunch of boxes with different kinds of words, and I keep 80 or so VnC-themed ones on my magnet-board for easy access.
To pick words, I use a random number generator for a theme word and a vocab box. I then pick a random word from that box and the verb box, and off we go. Here is the making-of for yesterday's post:
So there you have it! I hope that about explains it for you!
P.S.: I am very sorry there are no IDs here. If anyone needs them, don't hesitate to let me know and I'll see what I can do.
