literally everything tbh i’m not chill about anything i dunno i guess i’m kinda worried about the job market when i finish my phd and like having to settle for a position in a place that i don’t even like just bc it’s a job and i dunno in general just about being content w/ my decisions and being happy etc but i’m trying to put things on the backburner that i can’t do anything about anyway

75. Are you holding onto something you need to let go of?

i don’t think so i dunno????

100. What are some words that you live by? Why?

ummm i guess i’m just trying v hard to be more honest and direct about how i feel and what i want bc it seems like putting that out there ur less likely to be misunderstood and there’s less of a likelihood that u’ll regret saying/not saying something so i dunno not really any specific “”words of wisdom”” necessarily but what i’ve been trying to do lately :-)

15. What good thing happened this summer?

ummm i got more teaching experience and submitted an abstract that got accepted for a conference at another UC ummm i saw haim arctic monkeys and the strokes and got to spend some time at home

30. Do you ever want to get married?

i think so but i’m also not sure tbh??? like it seems really nice in theory but it’s a commitment i don’t see myself being ready for any time soon plus a lot of our faculty are divorced/unmarried and some of them have shared their experiences w/ us and i’m scared that’ll happen to me too as an academic???

45. What makes you get out of bed in the morning?

school mostly lol

i don’t think so?? maybe something for school at some point???

Yo, when I first joined tumblr I think my URL was like disconnected-lightswitch or something else vampire weekend-y and one of the first people I followed was Margo and she always posted the best music and if it weren’t for mixtape mondays, my senior year would’ve been hella hard.
