Happy birthday, Jo Anne Worley! She is so special to me since she’s in my favorite movie, Beauty and the Beast, *and* I more recently discovered her on Laugh-In. Along with a standard portrait of her, and the enchanted Wardrobe, here is her chicken version who resides in my cuckoo world of Beautiful Downtown Birdbank!

@dollhousemuses said: " Well, if it isn't the big cheese himself. " There's a teasing smile on Gladstone's mouth, an eyebrow quirked at Mickey. " Long time no see, Mouse. Tell me, what's got someone as big and important as you showing up in little old Duckburg after all this time? "
“Well if it isn’t Gladstone Gander! Here I thought you’d be busy out wandering the big wild world.”
Mickey may not have had much interaction with Gladstone when they were younger, but he remembered him quite well. Mickey, of course, didn’t have any ill will towards the lucky guy- he had some luck of his own, though the continued success of his father’s parks was largely his own hard work. No ill will, though... Gladstone couldn’t help the lot he was given, ater all.
So at the gentle teasing, he chuckled a bit, granting him a bright, friendly smile as he hooked his thumbs in the pockets of his slacks, rocking back on his heels for a moment or two.
“I finally had the chance to get away to work and come spend some time. I’m fixing up Uncle Roy’s old penthouse... I’m hoping to leave most of the running of the parks to the board and get back to the quiet life with my friends back here. Duckburg’s way more my speed than Birdbank anyway.”

The parks Walt Mouse founded are under the company name Redwood Circus Parks, with the headline park being Topoland in Birdbank. Mickey doesn’t really care for running them, but as the sole heir to the company, he feels like he would be letting his father down if he gave them up.

First Date Sentence Starters.
@terrorofthenight said: "I've... Never really been on a date before."
“That’s okay! Neither have I!”
Odette is beaming at that, her hand curled around Gosalyn’s, expression bright. The swan is thrilled to be out with the other girl, even for something as simple as letting her uncles drive them out to Birdbank to spend the day at Topoland. She hasn’t had the opportunity to do this with anyone but family, really.
“Have you ever been to an amusement park before? We went to Topoworld in Florida once; it was really fun! I think you’ll love it!”

Send my muse an anonymous nightmare.
@decanard Anonymous said: The nightmare starts in a dark night sky and then a golden rocket is crashing towards the earth. Mickey will hear the voice of his best friend echoing from the rocket itself "The kids. Gotta get back to the kids."
The rocket hits the atmosphere and starts looking like it burning up and then into a island where the whole thing explodes.
He wasn’t sure where the nightmare had come from, but the sound of his best friend’s voice coupled with the visuals left the most famous mouse in the world laying awake in his bed at his penthouse in Birdbank, chest rising and falling so fast it was a wonder the poor guy wasn’t hyperventilating.
But he couldn’t shake the awful sensations from that dream, until finally, he put his hand over his eyes with a weary, shaky sigh, squeezing his eyes shut. Nothing was wrong. Donald was just on a cruise.
“Just a bad dream, Mick... you’re okay. I’m sure Don’s fine.”

Anonymous said: Mickey do you have a crush on Donald maybe?
“Well, end of the day, Don’s my best friend! We’ve known each other since we were kids, before my dad went missing, everything. He was there for me when Dad vanished, and I stuck by him all the way, as long as I could when he had to take in the triplets. I even offered to help out and did what I could when I had to go back to Birdbank.
He’s a real swell guy, one of the best I know! There’s no one better I’d wanna have in my corner than him! But I uh... I dunno if I’d call that a crush, really.”

@dollhousemuses said: Yakko moves up the street, trying to keep himself quiet and out of people's way for the most part. Just a kid walking home from school, that's all he would appear to be. Hands slipping in and out of people's pockets and them none the wiser. He goes to pass one particular person, a mouse walking in the opposite direction of him.
He brushes against the mouse, his hand reaches into his pocket, his hand grabs a wallet, and then he's slipping it away again, little contact having been made as he goes to slip it into his pocket.
On most days, Mickey wouldn’t have thought too much about someone brushing up against him. Duckburg is a busy place, even if it’s marginally more chill than Birdbank. Still, he’s cautious- he has to be. He’s the most famous mouse in the world, recognizable by most people in and out of Calisota. And it just so happens that, tailing off a suggestion from Donald, he’d started chaining his wallet to his belt. Something that seems to be working in his favor, as while walking along checking his phone, he feels the sudden tug against his hip.
Far harder, in fact, than the chain would tug if his wallet had just mindlessly slipped out to dangle and bounce against his leg as he walked. His ears perk and he turns, blinking a few times to see what’s going on... only to find a boy at the other end of that chain.
“Wh- hey, I think you may have picked up my wallet.” Benefit of the doubt. He’s at least offering that much right there. “Didn’t realize it’d slipped out of my pocket. Sorry about that.”

Michael Theodore Mouse, immediately upon hearing about Donald on the moon: *breaking every god damn sound barrier on his way to Duckburg from Birdbank*

“People ask me why my father’s first park was in Birdbank instead of Duckburg or St. Canard, and really, the answer’s pretty simple.
In the case of Duckburg, he just respected Mr. McDuck too much to bother him too much. Or at least that’s what he liked to say when folks asked him. In St. Canard, it was a matter of space. It’s got half again the population of Duckburg but in a much smaller space, so.. yeah."
