I don't just have thoughts. I have a whole little drabble based on a little quote that @f1-birb sent me as a joke....

So here you go!

Landos feeling the two drinks he had. Callum was probably laughing somewhere, calling him a light weight to their friends but Lando didn't care. He only had eyes for his boyfriends who were sitting in a booth, both of them looking gorgeous. Esteban was leaning forward, his normal white t-shirt stretching over his muscles and making Lando feel all kind of things. And then there was Lance. Lance who was laughing, care free grin on his face as he ran a hand through his hair. His white button done was undone to show a peek of chest and collar bone and the sleeves were rolled up. Without even thinking, Lando was pushing through the crowds to them. Offering them a smile but ignoring how Esteban slid over as if to offer him a seat. Instead, Lando managed to get into Lance's lap. "Hello there", Lance smiled, accepting a kiss before grimacing, "No more vodka" Lando pouted for a second because he liked the vodka red bull mix that Charles had pressed into his hand. It tasted like watermelon, but he was quickly distracted by Esteban sliding into the booth next to them and kissing him until he was wriggling in Lance's lap a little. When they broke apart, Lance was watching them. Eyes dark and interested, and before Lando could think, he was speaking. "Is that your dick or are you just happy to see me?", Lando acted coy, looking up from under his lashes in a way he knew they both liked. Lance just stared at him for a moment as if he were trying ro solve a maths problem before speaking and sending Esteban into a laughing fit so hard that Lando worried he was going to suffocate on his own laughter. "I am happy to see you but no. I left my dick at home in it's box tonight. It needed a break"

"Oh", Lando nodded before pouting and he knew his voice had a whine to it now as he spoke, "but why? It's so much fun" "Cause someone, I won't say who, requires a lot of attention and it needed a rest", Lance spoke, lips tilting up in a laugh as he looked at Lando pointedly but Lando didn't know what the look was for. Lando paused for a moment, trying to think of who it could be that created such an exhaustion that Lando has to miss out on Lance's dick. "Charles is a lot in bed" Lando sighed, shaking his head and making a confused noise when Esteban made a gargled sound only to see the other choking on his drink, Jack and coke dripping from his mouth, "That's gross Este. Why are you laughing at me?" "No reason. You're just so cute", Esteban choked out, fanning his face, cheeks red before he made eye contact with Lance and it set them both off in a fit of giggles once more. Leaving Lando to pout in Lance's lap and silently promising to tell Pierre to make Charles back off of Lance's dick so Lando could get a turn. It was what he deserved. After all, he had only broken his rules twice today and that had to be a record worth celebrating.

crack au but the more i wrote the more i took it seriously: After almost-dying-but-not-dying as a baby, the reason maggie doesn't get found is bc a prodigy nearby accidentally uses their power on her. And turns her, into an actual magpie. The specifics of the power effectively cursing other ppl to turn into any kind of animal when they feel xyz emotion. Prodigy never realizes and leaves b4 fixing anything

Kids from the prodigy children's home take the injured baby birdo in to be sort of like a class pet, nursing her back to health. At some point she's shooed out of there for taking up resources, its a children's home not an animal shelter! Maybe if they hadn't, she'd have eventually shifted back into a human and things would have played out differently. But oh well, she flies away and quickly finds herself at home at Renegades HQ, becoming an absolute MENACE

Where the renegades are she'll sometimes trail along and snag the shiny and valuable trinkets she spots. Seemingly NO ONE can befriend her, she can get very snappy and really REALLY LOUD when she's upset. She still has the mind of a human, but when u've been a birb most of the time ur whole life, you're gonna act like a birb. Oh what a menace

She acts the friendliest with Callum, meaning some days she's nice and some days she'll cause problems. But at least usually she won't knock things over if Callum is there.

Adrian comes second in terms of friendliness, him and Callum being the only ones that know how to get da birb under control. Sometimes he'll draw up distractions to get her attention, like shiny things that have no actual value since he made them. It gets her attention for long enough for anyone to get back their valuables, but not long enough to actually trick her into thinking what he made was real.

Maggie is as smart as a hooman but she also has birb temptations and the silliness compels me to believe that she can both be smart and briefly fooled as a birb

I think Callum would be the first to figure out that Maggie's actually just a human that got turned into a birb, but wouldn't have much evidence to prove it before his death. Adrian would have his suspicions but he wouldn't be able to do jack shit about it by the time the events of the trilogy come to stress him out.

Nova contemplates shooting the fucking birb oh so many times, but she's much less inclined to those ideas when she hears the theories that actually Maggie is a human turned bird. Then its more a matter of will someone tame this thing already, why hasn't she been turned back yet?!

When Maggie gets a hold of Nova's bracelet in the supernova version of this au, Nova would have to do a bunch of chasing her around to find the nest she's keeping her bracelet in (there are numerous nests too its frustrating). Maggie is REALLY NOT HAPPY when Nova sticks her hand into her stash, especially when Nova grabs the bullet too.

Maggie retains her Asset Perception and Telekinesis but really doesn't use them very often as a birb. Much more the FEW occasions as a human pre reveal, its easier to use telekinesis than practice grabbing stuff as a human after all. It isn't impossible for her to use her powers as a birb, but she'd have to be very stressed to do so, such as when her most prized possession is stolen from one of her safe spots. And as a baby birb, after being nursed back to health, she found were the bullet had been put miraculously and stole it back, hiding it in a secret nest until she'd have to move.

She'd probably figure out her backstory via ppl repeating how they found her to other ppl. Some details would probably be lost like the status of her family but doesn't mean its impossible for her to piece together later.

And since i can't NOT talk about trinket duo, Max is the only one Maggie is pretty much ALWAYS friendly with. She's hesitant to trust at first, but warms up quickly much to the shock of EVERYONE. Once they become besties, everyone goes to max when she's being a nuisance. At least prior to the reveal

The reveal that Maggie is actually a human AND she's Evie Artino would back to back bombshells for everyone involved god could you IMAGINE it would be insanity, especially for Nova. Like, what do you mean my baby sister became A BIRD is she dreaming wtf is this

As stated earlier, the curse would allow her to shift back given some requirements, probably that she feels safe and isn't in any survival mode. Being a human vs being a birb have different advantages after all. Callum would get close to seeing her shift, but only ever actually see either Human Maggie or Birb Maggie, never the in between. And like i said, the stressful stuff going on in the second and third book would make it hard to get this addressed anyway

Potentially the first time someone, aside from Callum, sees her as a human would be in the final battle and she gets shot with Agent N and goes down. She'd be assumed dead until Nova would realize post battle that there.. there is a kid here. A kid sobbing by the corpse of Callum, sobbing like its the first time you're crying and you can't control it. The case that carried the serum either on the ground nearby or still lodged in the kid's arm, i can't remember if they did the same amount of damage as a bullet atm so lets just say theres a wound but probably not serious enough to be fatal

Nova wouldn't have enough time to realize its THE FUCKING BIRD but the kid's appearance makes her heart hurt. Maggie wouldn't be able to make many coherent words, if any at all, but she'd glare daggers. Nova might try to calm her but ultimately puts her to sleep, an issue for later

Later comes around, Max's power would probably change her back, this time round just giving it to her as a legit power instead of a curse. Nova, after healing and processing more important parts of the last few days, would be very confused about where she went. No one knows anything about a girl like she described.

Maggie can't help remaining as a bird post Callum's death, even tho she technically has the ability to change back. The grief would be too much, and i think she would act like a traumatized bird would in this scenario. Feather picking, is much quieter, decreased appetite, etc.

I think Max friendship would lessen those issues both since she'd be human around him more often, wouldn't feel birb urges and feels safe, AND also bc Max would tattle. He doesn't want to see her accidentally hurt herself with going to ham with feather picking after all, he researched that it could happen.

Maggie would be given bracelets to remain human for periods of time so she can get better control of her abilities, keep herself safe, and get used to being a human. She's not happy about that at all but her complaints will only be heard if she learns to talk like a human, not a super difficult transition given Magpie's can mimic noises, but its still a challenge.

First words: "fuck you" Not to Max, she knows why he told even if she wasn't happy about it. No, those words are for Adrian, who is the person Max told first. It makes so much sense to Adrian he doesn't even ask any more questions before believing Max, to his brother's shock. Later when Maggie won't act like a stressed birb while as birb, most of the training is with Danna due to power similarities

As a human Maggie can walk, kind of, she's shifted to being a human before, but she'd much rather fly. Much too clumsy as a human. As a human she almost never goes anywhere without Max, both feeling protective of Max and also needing the support. But that isn't too different from how she acts as a birdo since she'd absolutely hop around while following Max. Its just she doesn't want to go anywhere without max as a human.

The Evie reveal would probably come a little later after the Being Human Confirmed revelation, and thus ensues both sisters having complicated feelings about it. Probably wouldn't be all too different from my other ramblings about how it could go down, but Maggie's grievances more in line with "you tried to bat me away with a broom one time" They'd make up eventually, not like theres much in the way of them reconnecting in this au after all. Nova never imagined that she'd see a bunch of Evie's firsts when she barely turned 13 but here they are.

So, I would just want to talk about my thoughts on TDP season 2 as a whole.

It's basically Voltron Season 3, which is basically means lots of potential, but not great delivery, and plenty of room to screw things over royally.

Now that the short version's out of the way, strap in because I'm about to turn on the grunt birthday party skull and explode.

First: Ezran. This kid has been to hell and back and still has the personality complex of a cardboard cutout of a smiley face. Kid, you were endearing for 2 minutes, now please do something an actual kid your age would do, or what anyone would do having been through anything remotely like you. Aaaannd now he's king. (#virenwasright which begs the question: why does Callum needed to be killed. The only reason he would need to go is if he had a claim as strong as Ezran.) But seriously, he has no important life outlook that adds to the story or affects the other characters, his involvement was only needed when the power of Macguffin was on his side (which it always is.) Seriously, regarding Harrow's death, it's out of his mind 10 minutes after it's entered.

Now, a good flat character is Harrow. Hot damn was he good this season. His world view is that regardless of anything, he is just as capable of doing bad this as his enemies, but the choice to do so or not is his own. This view has incredible influence on Callum, Viren, and even Sarai.

Now to one of the hotter topics of this season: Sarai. Honestly, she was a mixed bag. At first, she was doing nothing but saying reeeaaaallllyyy cliched lines and not much else. Her dynamic with Harrow did nothing...

...Until it came into conflict with Harrow.

That was her high point. When her husband was doing something she though was morally questionable, she challenged him on it, and he stood his ground. Heck, she walked away from the argument still not agreeing with him. But then she goes with him anyways. Why? Because he's her husband and it's their jobs to stand by one another even when they dont agree. This is a wonderful, healthy thing and I fully understand why people adore this character.

Onto Callum. Good start with Callum writing to Harrow (see what mean about him affecting other people?) I enjoyed the fact that he was in denial over his stepdad. It felt like something a real person would do. Hell, I've seen real people do it. And when he was reading his letter from his step-dad, I genuinely felt that this was based off an actual letter written by a real dad to his real step-son. (Much better than some other children in this show, but I have already made my thoughts on them clear)

By the way, while I'm on good stuff of Callum's, how bout these cute bundles of cute?

If I didn't ship Rayllum before, I sure as hell do now. (And so I must constantly ask myself why a fully grown adult man cares about 15 year olds' relationship @blacklistedwriter you're doing me a concern)

Now we get to my main problem with the Callum: He was able to cast magic without a Primal Stone.

If magic is something anyone (including humans) can learn, then there is no reason for Dark Magic to be a thing. Dark magic obviously comes at a cost to the user and would be forgone for safer, but just as effective primal magic. The only way this could work is if Callum can't really cast powerful sky magic like lightning without being in a storm or having some other source to draw from (keeping the spell sword dream alive), while sky creatures can cast it at will, but that doesn't seem to be the case with Viren and Aaravos.

Keep to your weeby ways and all shall go smoothly between us. (Claudia, you're in this category too) Nothing big of note to say. They're just good.

Now, Viren still has the same problem as season 1:

He ded and Don Birb has been rockin his bod without a license.

But in all honesty, he is either skitsophrenic or there are two different writers with completely different ideas on who this guy is (which is basically the same thing but with shade). Does he care about Harrow and his family or does he not? Is he trying to save Katolis or is he trying to grab power? Simple yes or no will do. However, he's not all bad (writing). Soren suffers from the same problem, going from a jock with a heart of gold to a downright douche, but not to the extent as Viren. I prefer the Viren who believes he's doing the right thing, mainly because there is so much more depth there. However, his best moments of this are his interactions with Aaravos.

Ok, now on the best thing this show has given us:

Lotor 2.0 (Magic: The Gathering Edition) was done 100% right this season. From his introduction, to his design, to his mannerisms, to his voice, to his lines, to his delivery, to his theme, to the angles onscreen we see him from, (Dear God! THE ILLUSTRIOUS ANGLES!!!) to his mystery, to his foreboding sense of danger he gives off, this guy was on point. I can't wait to see what he'll do right next season. However, we all know what happened with Lotor 1.0 (the Voltron: Legendary Defender model), and, seeing the similarities between this show's writing and Voltron, I wouldn't put past them. Which leads into why I'm writing this:

This show has massive potential, really. I actually care about these characters and want to see then grow, face new challenges and change (Ezran, take notes here), and become better, wiser people. However, people can grow the wrong way (in a bad writing sense) and I, for one, am afraid DreamWorks isn't learning from their mistakes with any of their shows. Say what you want about Voltron, The Dragon Prince, Carmen Sandiego, or She-Ra, but they have a bunch of little flaws that keep holding them back in a big way. Voltron and Tbe Dragon Prince are the two shows that had their first seasons (and second season of Voltron) mostly free of these problems, but now Dargon Prince is starting to have them...

...and I don't want it to.

No, I shall not speak of the finale. It sucked.

Viren: *smirks and plinks Runaan's coin to Ethari*

Ethari, furious: You throw another Moonshadow at me and I'm gonna lose it.

Circles and Cycles

Angst rating: 8/10

Back to Ethari, because we're not done with him yet. Ethari is soft, but he isn't weak. He won't be a willing pawn for Viren. He loves Runaan to the point of invention, and his devotion is more constant than the moon itself. He'll agree to do what Viren says, and he'll be Very Sad. But his spirit is in no way broken. Viren bribing him with the coins containing his family will only have the opposite effect. It'll give Ethari something to fight for.

We could get Focused Chaos Ethari. We could get Angery Trickster Ethari. We could get Rules, What Rules? Ethari. Let him try to steal the coins, try to break them, try to kill Viren, and be stymied at every turn, until he settles and seems cowed. And then all he does is craft his way out of the problem.

What if we are gifted with Iron Man Elf Ethari, who pretends to build a fake Key for Viren, but meanwhile he's really building a coinbuster with whatever he can get his hands on - primal stones, magically imbued gemstones, stolen artifacts, his own arcanum, his own reputation as the Master Craftsman of the Silvergrove. He'll use almost - almost - anything, to stop Viren and free his family.

Ethari may have to choose between those two things, though. And he's a hero, deep down, just like his family, just like his daughter. If he has to choose, he'll choose to stop Viren and save Xadia. He'll pay the same price as his family has if he must.

He'd let Viren think he was motivated purely by wanting his family back, but Ethari is far too steeped in the illusion and sacrifice for that to be all there is to his motives. It's a so-close-and-yet-so-far thing, how he and Viren almost embody the same ideals. Almost. Ethari would take one look at Viren, who just burnt down his whole Forest, he'd see the biggest threat in Xadia, and he'd say anything to get a chance to stop this juggernaut of destruction from getting his hands on whatever that ultimate power really is, locked behind that missing key. If he has to abandon his people and bawl his eyes out to convince Viren he's in, then he will.

And Viren wouldn't make it easy for him. He knows clever when he sees it. He went through all this trouble to persuade Ethari to work with him. He would need to keep Ethari as off-balance as possible to ensure that he keeps working as he should.

Angsty jewelry, anyone?

Viren giving Ethari his husband in pendant form to remind him what he's working for, when Viren and Ethari both know full well that only dark magic can open the hellcoins. Ethari wearing another pendant of his love, except it's not a metaphor this time. It's literally his love, in a coin around his neck.

Viren would love making Ethari stay close to him of his own free will if he ever hoped to free Runaan. Making people bind themselves to you is a big power flex. Remember that TDP stream future-season teaser note about Bait being in a creepy restraint in a future season?

This card is written on in all-caps, so that really could be "Bait" or "bait," or--knowing this show--both. Viren's been using Runaan as bait for Ethari all along. Putting his coin in a dark magic pendant casing for Ethari to wear would be a great parallel for that. Oh god. Oh man.

Maybe he'll stab the coin's scary casing right through that circle on Ethari's chest, right over his heart, make that Iron Man reference really obvious. Ethari also losing his shirt at some point, for angsty Viren-related reasons? It's more likely than you think. I mean... Ethari is literally involved in both forms of forging at this point. Shirt's gotta come off for uhhhh work reasons. And because he's hot. Because of all the forging. Mmhmm. I mean how else are we finally going to discover what his markings look like this is research I swear

I mentioned that I liked god-tier villains, right? Yeah, this is amazing. I haven't wanted to die and ascend over an idea for quite a while, but Ethari vs Viren in a drawn-out battle of wills would kill me in the best way. Especially since, while it looks like they're essentially fighting for who gets Runaan, they're truly fighting a much larger battle with much higher stakes. They're fighting for the future itself. It's an epic struggle between the Narrative of Strength and the Narrative of Love. And we've seen what happens, over and over, when the Narrative of Strength gets to call the shots.

On a meta note: If Ruthari's story arc isn't a love letter from one trauma survivor to another, and on a broader scope to all survivors who see it, I don't know what is. Sometimes life just chews us up and spits us out and we can't stop it and it breaks us. But sometimes we can reach out and grasp the chance to help each other, even after that, even when it hurts a lot, because we know what it means to be loved, and to love, and to want a safer future for each other and for people we'll never meet. The future is worth standing together for, helping each other back up for, fighting side by side for, even if you can't see how it'll end, or even how to begin. We are stronger together, and sometimes we need to fight for our "together" before we can fight for anything else. And that's worth it, every time.

This is glorious, it's beautiful, it's tragic, it's amazing, it makes me want to dance, it makes me want to scream into the void, it makes me want to slap someone with a semi truck. No, someone specific, don't worry, and he super deserves it.

Because Ethari is going to win. He was always going to win. He's soft, and he's clever, and he hasn't forgotten what love means. It's what he's fighting for. Not power, not control. Love. He doesn't want to dictate Runaan's future or anyone else's. He just wants his husband--and everyone else--to have one at all.

So he's going to win.

What thwarting Viren looks like, I couldn't possibly guess. TDP is no stranger to angst, so there will probably be a high cost involved in outwitting the dark mage. Maybe not everyone can be rescued from the coins. Maybe Ethari will lose his life, or his soul, or his vision, or something else really angsty. Viren could even kill him and resurrect him as a smoky craftsman, or a zombie craftsman, or something equally biddable but horrible. The only thing I'm sure of is that Ethari would never willingly make a working Key of Aaravos Ethari as long as there's a chance Viren could possess it. But I do believe that if he gets the right opportunity while he's busy saving the world from Viren's dark intentions, he'll break his husband's hellcoin open somehow and set him free, even if he has to smile at the devil to do it.

Ethari understands the difference between "you can" and "therefore you should." He might sacrifice his own world to save his husband, but he'd never sacrifice someone else's world. That's one of the Moonshadow cultural limits I've noticed: they accept boundaries when it comes to other people's autonomous rights, especially regarding life and death.

These limits could get pushed. Ethari will be under great duress and emotional strain if he goes through this kind of interaction with Viren. And maybe he will choose some dark things. Everyone else has. But I'm placing all my eggs in the basket labeled "Saved By Love." Either I'm right, or I'll get the best angst omelets in the universe. And I do love omelets. A villain invented them, you know. ;)

Another support for Ethari not making the key for Viren: the real Key exists!

Callum has it right now. The plot doesn't need Ethari's key (yet? ever?), but it does need Ethari to learn what he's made of, to stand up for something, or against something, or both at once. And once he learns what he will and won't do and the universe has rewarded his discovery with the return of his beloved husband then Ethari will be ready to take on whatever else the plot has in mind for him.

Depending on the plan, all of these events could happen in S4, as a setup for even bigger things to follow. Viren's wishes can be thwarted here and the show's overall tension will only continue to rise. It would let Ethari flex yes pls his skills so we know who he is, it would show how driven Viren can be for a long-term goal, it would let Claudia saunter further downwards, it would reveal some human/Moonshadow history, and it would resolve the seasons-long tension regarding Runaan's fate, allowing for the cycle of speculation, feels, angst, and Ruthari fanart to begin again. ;) Viren would need to find another way to pursue his long-term goal. And Callum's Key will get a little more clarity on just how important it is to the fate of the world - which will make everything he does, and everyone he talks to, and anyone who knows what he's carrying, intensely important.

Nyx is gonna steal it isn't she, omg chaos birb

To Viren, Ethari was a main course, meant to be devoured and consumed in his lifelong quest for something that will finally satisfy. But to Ethari, Viren was just empty calories to be passed over in favor of ordering his perennial favorite dish, one more time.

Once Ethari escapes Viren's clutches with as much of his family as he can rescue, Viren may turn back to looking for the real Key, especially if someone's seen it recently. Hunting a kid probably seems easier than hunting a full-grown Moonshadow craftsman who just outsmarted him. okay so maybe Nyx stealing it would be a good thing and save Callum's life

Ethari could go on to help repair the Sunforge, or rebuild the Moonhenge, or work on constructing Moonshadow villages in Katolis if he hasn't been ghosted for abandoning everyone after the forest fire. He might build magical devices for any number of reasons, to help all kinds of characters. Hopefully, wherever he goes, he'll have Runaan with him, in some way, for at least a little while. Cycles be like, and I feel like Runaan will not want to remain still for long, for whatever reason. Does he need revenge, atonement, justice, a new body, to find Rayla, to find Ezran? He'll be back in action as soon as he can, I think.

Okay, but, I'm so soft at the thought of a scene where Runaan and Ethari come before King Ezran. The husbands tried to save their people Runaan's way, the old way, and it only continued to endanger them. Following the cycle, as Moonshadows do, was the wrong move. But the son of the last human Runaan killed reached out with mercy and broke a thousand years of suffering and sorrow and hatred. Ezran did what Runaan couldn't: he saved the Moonshadow elves from total destruction. And that, more than anything else in the world, could soften one very broody assassin's heart toward humans again.

What would Runaan do, if his heart truly changed toward humans? What would he say to Ezran? I could see him struggling for a long moment before dropping to one knee to pledge his heart as he once had to do before the Dragon Throne. He doesn't know any other way but to serve. Ezran, reading the whole room and everyone's feelings before he tells Runaan that No, we don't do that here. That he's free, and free means free. No chains, no oaths. Just trust and friendship. He should get to make his own decisions for a change, even though that can be hard and scary sometimes. Runaan being genuinely scared, because that's too much freedom. But he's not alone. He has Ethari, and Ezran, and Rayla, and Callum, and their people, and their allies. And no matter what else happens, the people of Katolis - elven and human - will find a way forward. Together.

January: not too many original posts this month; my most popular post was my Merc!George edit (second ever fancam 😊) but i think my favourite post was Callum edit to Streets cause lord, man’s still a snack

February: most popular post was my Valentine’s Day Schulott edit which im still really happy with, though i have to say that my Mick Ocean Eyes edit is a fun one, i’m pleased with how i timed the clips/lyrics etc.

March: by far the most popular was Mick’s 22nd bday edit, which i made at 3 AM the night before lol, but there’s absolutely nothing that i’m more proud of than my first ever Schulott fic Foundations

April: once again we’ve got two Mick edits that were most popular -- my Mick thirst edit and the insane Canceled edit, but my personal fave was my Lewis Fashion King edit cause i just adore the man

May: eeek this month i got all sappy and made an edit about how much Schulott obviously love each other, but i’m also a big fan of these Mick gifs from his Sky Sports featurette

June: featuring my first F1 post to hit 1k notes (cheer up Mick!! watching germany lose at footie), but it was also a very creative month, since it’s when Lauren @formulaur and i published and wrote most of Collegiate Affairs

July: another 1k+ notes post with an emotional Mick x Michael x doggos edit, while most of my other bigger posts were motorcycle Mick pics, but i wanna highlight my moon sun and stars -- Callum being a smiley babe on stream

August: biggest F1 post ever with my gifs of Mick & Seb post race in Hungary, but sparing a shoutout to my unhinged text post about Mick after the summer break that got over 700 notes 😂

September: my two most popular posts saw me get involved in the gremlin ship that is Nortrell (they are fond on each :sigh:) and Mick’s acting career for Sky Sports (it’s a good thing he’s pretty)

October: my compilation of Mick and his serial killer tendencies was my most popular post but i’m particularly pleased with this gifset of Lando being an attention goblin

November: ahhhhh yes the infamous Lando 22 bday edit!!!! i worked on this for 2 weeks straight and i’m beyond proud of how it turned out (and also overwhelmed with how well it was received 🥺). gonna throw in Callum’s bday edit as a bonus cause he’s Just Some Guy, but he’s my Just Some Guy

December: somehow the biggest month?? i have to highlight the 12 Days of Mickmas, cause it pushed me so far out of my comfort zone, but my biggest post by far was a pic of Mick & some birbs 😂 also still aggressively heartbroken and letting it take over in my Amanda Gorman x abu dhabi injustice edit and the Nortrell breakup edit 😭

it’s a mixed bag of fics and videos and gifs but i had a truly wonderful year in 2021 making all kinds of fun stuff and i can’t wait to do it all over again in 2022 ❤️ thank you all for the love!!!!

idk im bored. felt like going off abt elves. im procrastinating from finishing avatar

-They probably live in places very high, like in mountains or trees. Treehouses aren’t uncommon, and they could possibly have houses similar to nests.

-For Skywing elves that cannot fly (either not born with wings or cannot do mage wings), they live closer to the ground and there are pathways to help them.

-Their society overall is very free and nomadic, only a few main villages of Skywing elves existing. Most of them are nomads that travel, only sometimes settling. Of course, most commonly Skywings that cannot fly naturally make up most villages.

-Families are called nests, and they’re usually followed by that nest’s bird. For example, the Osprey nest or Pheonix nest, or any other magical birds in Xadia. For nests that marry into another, they can either keep one name from their nest or pick an entirely new name.

-Pet birds are very popular, along with any other animal that can fly. Dragons are, of course, a rare pet, but some people probably have them. Keeping your pet in a cage is disdained, as they believe they should be free like themselves. If a person has a large flock of birds, they take great pride in it. Of course, there are still animals like cats and dogs, and sometimes reptiles.

-For animals that cannot fly (such as felines, canines, and reptiles, or birds that are unable to), there are pouches you can wear to hold them in while flying if you can.

-Because of pet birds being popular, it’s not surprising to find Skywings with flocks of chickens. They take excellent care of them, and sometimes there are fighting contests with roosters.

-Skywings who cannot fly are not treated differently at all, since it’s rare for them to have wings at all. Bridges and pathways connecting houses are common, and Skywings who do have wings are most likely messengers, builders, or perhaps mages. There’s no prejudice between elves with no wings and with wings.

-They have a soft coat of down when they’re young, until they’re around 3. They most likely have some feathers like near their horns, or arms, or other places. hehe birb elves

-Children are called fledgelings.

-Wing feathers take a while to grow in, if they’re born with them. The feathers at first are soft and make them unable to fly, and they become flight-feathers as they grow. They’re most likely fully fledged around 12-13. There are most likely classes to help them learn how to fly.

-I don’t rlly know what their government would be like, probably a council or something that runs each village and laws are voted on by the public.

-If Skywing elves with wings or mage wings are stressed, depressed, or furious, their feathers can fall out. 

-They have festivals often, IDK why they just do and Callum loves them.

-They often need help keeping their feathers clean from dirt and anything else.

-Their wings are very fluffy (mage or not), so wing cuddles aren’t rlly uncommon. They feel like an extremely fluffy blanket to a Skywing/sky mage’s S/O (rayllum wing cuddles in this essay i will-)

and then some rayllum hcs because i feel like it

-Callum freaking LOVES the Skywing festivals, even if Rayla somehow beats them at every game they play

-Rayla wins the impossible bottle game SOMEHOW by SOME KIND OF LUCK while Callum is very confused on how that’s possible

-They probably try to win eachother stuff, because they’re cute like that

-One of the biggest festivals is at the Sky Nexus, and Rayla probably takes Callum there for his birthday one year. He is ABSOLUTELY ECSTATIC and they stargaze and get food and have an amazing date IN THIS ESSAY I WILL-

Scenario where Callum and the gang go back to Katolis to fix all the politic issues. And Callum thinks about wanting to see his father’s last moments. Rayla is unsure of it but gives him a moonopal to let him decide for himself and Ezran also wants to see but also not? Ezran ends up getting busy with trying to sort Katolis but the day comes Callum invites Ez and so they go to the King’s room and does the spell and nothing they witness makes sense. Harrow is cowering and acting weird.

Why is Harrow acting weird? Is it because he’s a birb?
