Wyll being a terrible monster hunter is something that is so special actually. told to hunt heartless devil? immediately convinced of her goodness and humanity and without hesitation agrees to defy the devil who has his soul in custody and spare karlach at tremendous personal physical cost. vampire in camp? well hes handsome and funny and pretty polite about where he puts his teeth so it’s fine all things considered. finding out the person who ritualistically disemboweled a tiefling in front of him is a bhaalspawn like an unholy progeny of the god of murder that is culturally immediately reviled? no that’s his friend and he completely trusts in their ability to fight their nature with their own inner light. it doesn’t matter that they created the absolute they’re not that person anymore. Like Wyll. you are literally categorically not hunting the monsters. guy of all time

So!

I had a baldurs gate inspired nightmare last night D: it might be time for a break.

I was just me. Not one of my Tavs or anything, and I was with The Whole Party including my Tav Myor. Which is strange, coz I haven't played him really at all.

Except GUESS WHO WAS DURGE and decided I needed to die for "father"? Yeah. I'll spare the gore.

so anyway somehow we shift from the act 1 camp to the house I grew up in, and I'm deeply wounded (thanks, Myor!) and I've crawled up the stairs to the attic bedroom to tell Shadowheart that Myor is a bhaalspawn and trying to sacrifice me, and she's like "oh well that explains why he's hovering over you looking monsterous right now" and sure enough I turn my head and there's the slayer form.

And then the last thing I remember is claws before I woke up terrified.

It is a good thing that the BG3 team is attentive and we get updates all the time, but where does it end? If they are going to continue changing stuff about the game per request, what will be there left of what they envisioned in the first place? Especially for character traits and dialogue, like making them kinder and more likeable, just because there were two more people asking for it and they happened to see it. I just don't want to see characters shift into generic ones just because of a need to respond to everyone's ideas

It's been a while! I know I said I'd have more Ember/Rolan stuff for you guys soon, and while it's already been longer than I expected (or wanted), it's going to be a liiiittle bit longer. While my normal lines/tones style isn't too taxing, rendering/painting takes a hell of a lot more out of my wrist and I've had to chip away at this a bit at a time rather than powering through it like I'd normally be able to with my comics.

So in the meantime here's some little WIP sneak peeks of what's coming!
