in the wake of Hazbin Hotel's release I have been seeing a not insignificant number of Sera apologists amidst the fandom
there appear to be fans who are upset that others in the fandom view Sera as a villain or antagonist of some kind, often citing her care for Emily and Heaven, as well as her hesitance towards the annual extermination as indicators that she is meant to be a "morally grey" character rather than a villain
and here I thought genocide was bad
the entire world is having this very conversation now with Israel, Palestine, and the rest of the planet and their roles in the current genocide, and it may seem in poor taste to compare a real world genocide where real people are dying at this very moment to a silly cartoon, but I believe that this specific perspective speaks to a deeper issue of how people look at genocide and the media around it, an issues that ought to be addressed
the fact remains that Sera green lit a genocide in spite of her moral qualms, and now people are being exterminated like pests rather than human beings
Sera's justification for the genocide is the protection of her people, the same argument used by Israel and its supporters to justify their blatant genocide of Palestinians
the finger is often pointed at Adam and Lute as the real villains, and while they certainly are villains they are far from alone
I hardly think now is the time to be defending Sera's actions as understandable, if not entirely acceptable, as Emily put it "Extermination of human souls? Demon or not there is no reason to be doing this."
I don't mean to compare Palestinians to damned sinners or demons, I merely wish to point out that there is no justification for either of these genocides EVER. NEVER EVER.
PLEASE STOP ENTERTAINING ANY NOTION OF A JUSTIFICATION FOR ANY GENOCIDE.
THERE ISN'T ONE.
PERIOD.
and for the record, Lucifer isn't getting let off the hook, he shares the blame for what is happening, his new efforts to prevent future genocides means something, but it does not make up for or justify any previous crimes
there's some extra bits in the tags if that wasn't wordy enough for you
#hazbin hotel#rose rambles#hazbin hotel sera#hazbin hotel lucifer#hazbin hotel lute#hazbin hotel adam#genocide is never acceptable#i didn't even bring up the fact that sera hiding exterminations means she knows it's wrong#i am sorry for roping palestine and israel into this but it seems like the best way to convey my message#you can like sera as a character but don't try to justify what she is doing#same goes for lucifer#god that was a long one#sorry i just needed to rant#but remember that the show is a fictional story and it is important to properly portray genocide in media to help prevent history repeating

A/N: just a little something to celebrate captain aurelien 😜
The roar of the crowd echoed through the drenched stands of the Puskás Aréna, with rain pouring heavily over the field. Aurélien Tchouaméni, wearing the captain’s armband for the night, wiped the droplets from his face as he kept his eyes fixed on the ball. France was minutes away from closing out a 4-1 victory against Israel, and the satisfaction of leading the team to such a commanding win coursed through him.
Y/N sat in the stands, her heart racing despite the cold rain soaking through her clothes. She didn’t care; watching Aurélien in his element, leading Les Bleus on the international stage, always made her pulse quicken. Her French was shaky at best, but that didn’t stop her from cheering him on with what little she could muster. Each time his name was called on the pitch, she’d grin, her love for him growing with every play, every command he gave to his teammates.
“Allez! Allez Aurélien!” she shouted, her voice almost swallowed by the rain and cheers around her. Her French was limited, but her enthusiasm was unmistakable.
The final whistle blew, confirming the win. Aurélien stood tall, sharing a brief but victorious smile with his teammates before jogging over to the sideline. After the formalities with the referee, Didier Deschamps congratulated him.
“Très bien, capitaine,” Didier said. (“Very good, captain.”)
Aurélien’s eyes scanned the stands until they locked onto Y/N. She waved at him with a bright grin, and the tiredness he felt from the match seemed to melt away. After a few minutes, he joined her at the exit, rain still falling hard around them.
“Impressive, Captain,” Y/N teased, using the English word to flirt with him. Her French wasn’t strong, but her affection for him was clear. “What are you going to do to celebrate?”
Aurélien smirked, his hand coming to rest on the small of her back as they made their way to the car. “I have a few ideas.”
Back at the hotel, the mood shifted. The rain had followed them, still tapping rhythmically against the window as Y/N stepped out of the bathroom. She had swapped out her rain-soaked clothes for something far more tempting—a cropped French national team jersey, snug against her chest, and a tiny white skirt that barely covered her ass. The outfit left little to the imagination, and that was exactly the point.
Aurélien was waiting for her in the dimly lit room, his tall frame lying casually on the bed, but his eyes were anything but relaxed. They traced every curve of her body, lingering on the exposed skin at the top of her thighs. His jaw tightened, and a slow, wicked smile spread across his face.
“Capitaine,” Y/N said playfully, in her best attempt at French. She knew her accent was off, but Aurélien loved when she tried, especially in moments like these. “Je suis prête pour les… instructions?” (“I’m ready for the… instructions?”)
Aurélien’s eyes darkened with desire, and he pushed himself off the bed, moving toward her with slow, measured steps. He towered over her when he finally reached her, his hand lifting to brush a braid away from her face before trailing down her cheek. His touch was soft, but his voice held an unmistakable command.
“On the bed,” he said, his voice low and filled with intent. “Now.”
Y/N’s breath caught as she obeyed, climbing onto the bed, her heart racing with anticipation. Aurélien followed, his presence dominating the space as he stood at the edge of the bed, looking down at her like he was still in control—just like on the pitch.
“Vous avez besoin de discipline, non?” he murmured, his voice deep and teasing as he let his hands glide along her bare thighs. (“You need discipline, don’t you?”)
Y/N swallowed hard, nodding slightly, but the playful glint in her eyes showed she was still in on the game. “Oui, capitaine.” (“Yes, captain.”)
Aurélien’s lips curved into a grin as he slowly pushed her legs apart, running his fingers along the inside of her thighs, drawing out a soft gasp from her. The rain outside had turned into a steady rhythm, almost in time with the way his hands moved, taking his time to savor every inch of her.
“Good girl,” he whispered, his accent thick and smooth. “Keep those legs just like that.”
Y/N felt her cheeks warm, her breath quickening as his touch became more insistent. His dominance was subtle, always laced with care, but it never failed to leave her breathless. He had a way of commanding her body that left her both weak and craving more.
He leaned down, pressing a soft kiss to her lips before whispering against them, “You belong to me tonight. I’m still your captain, aren’t I?”
“Yes,” Y/N breathed out, her voice barely above a whisper.
“Then listen closely,” he said, his tone shifting from soft to firm in an instant, “and do everything I tell you. Understood?”
Her response came out as a breathy, eager “Oui, capitaine,” as he slid his hand further up her skirt, his touch electric, and his fingers brushing against her bare pussy.
He froze for a second, his lips curling into a slow, wicked smile. “No panties?” he murmured, kissing his teeth in playful disapproval. “That’s an extra drill, naughty girl.”
The way he said “naughty” in his thick French accent sent a shiver down her spine. Y/N felt her body react immediately, her breath quickening, and her legs parting just a little wider. The teasing, the control he had over her, made her crave more. She could feel herself growing wetter as his fingers lightly teased her folds, not quite giving her what she wanted, but enough to make her squirm.
“You like that, don’t you?” he whispered, his fingers now gliding over her slickness, spreading her essence across her pussy lips. “Making it harder for me to stay in control… You need to be conditioned for next time, don’t you? Have to get you ready for the next match.”
Y/N moaned softly in response, unable to form a coherent reply. Aurélien chuckled, his fingers continuing to play, dipping just inside her before retreating, leaving her on edge.
“Such a good girl,” he murmured, bringing his wet fingers to his lips, tasting her before standing up straighter. “Now… undress me.”
She nodded, quickly but carefully getting onto her knees, her hands reaching for the waistband of his basketball shorts. Aurélien watched her every move, the dominance in his posture unwavering. Slowly, Y/N pulled his shorts down, revealing his boxers. She hesitated, feeling the heat between them rise before she pulled the boxers down as well, his thick erection springing free, the bulbous head already slick with pre-cum.
Y/N swallowed hard, her mouth watering as her eyes locked onto the bead of moisture glistening at the tip. Aurélien watched her with dark, expectant eyes. “Lick it,” he commanded softly, his hand resting on the back of her head.
Obeying, Y/N leaned forward and ran her tongue slowly over the head, savoring the taste of him, her eyes flicking up to meet his as she did. His breath hitched, and his fingers tightened in her braids as she circled the tip with her tongue, teasing him just as he had done to her. Aurélien’s control wavered for a brief moment, but his grip on her hair tightened as he gently guided her down.
“Putain,” he groaned, watching as she began to bob up and down his length, her lips stretching around him. Her hands rested on his thighs for balance as she took him deeper, her tongue pressing against the underside of his shaft. Aurélien’s hips rocked slightly, pushing himself further into her mouth, his breathing becoming heavier with each movement.
“Just like that,” he murmured, his voice husky. “You suck this dick so well…”
She continued her movements, relishing the sounds he made, the way his body tensed and relaxed under her touch. After a few more strokes, Aurélien’s hand tightened in her braids again, and he gently pulled her off him, a string of saliva connecting her lips to his cock as he guided her back onto the bed.
“Turn over,” he commanded softly, his voice low and firm. “Ass up.”
Y/N’s heart raced as she did as she was told, rolling onto her stomach, her body trembling with anticipation. The air felt thick, charged with what was to come, and she whimpered softly as she felt Aurélien’s hot breath against her inner thigh.
He chuckled darkly. “I need to examine you closely,” he whispered, his voice dripping with lust. “Make sure my pretty pussy is ready.”
Without warning, he spread her legs wider, lowering himself between them, and ran his tongue from her clit to her entrance, the sensation making Y/N gasp sharply. His tongue flattened against her folds as he licked her again, this time slower, more deliberate. Her body tensed with every stroke, the pleasure mounting as his hands gripped her thighs firmly, holding her in place.
“Mmm… you taste so good,” he murmured between licks, his voice a deep rumble against her skin. His hands moved to spread her open even wider, and as his tongue worked its magic, one of his fingers brushed lightly against her tight anal ring.
Y/N flinched instinctively, her breath catching in her throat.
“Not ready for that, ma chérie?” Aurélien teased, his voice soft but filled with promise.
She shook her head quickly, her body tense under his touch. He chuckled softly, pressing a kiss to her thigh. “Don’t worry, we’ll save that for another time.”
He continued to pleasure her with his mouth, his tongue working her clit in slow, steady strokes that had her moaning into the sheets, her hips moving in tandem with his ministrations as the tension in her body built. He took his time, savoring every sound she made, every tremor of her body. When he finally deemed her ready, her moans spilling freely into the room, Aurélien sat back on his haunches, admiring the way her pussy glistened.
His hand wrapped around his thick erection, stroking it slowly as he positioned himself behind her. “You’re so wet for me,” he said, his voice low and gravelly. “I knew you’d be ready.”
With one hand on her hip, he slowly guided the head of his cock to her entrance, teasing her with just the tip before pushing inside her, inch by agonizing inch. Y/N gasped, her fingers gripping the sheets as he filled her completely, the sensation overwhelming.
Aurélien groaned softly, his grip tightening on her hips as he leaned over her, his lips brushing her ear. “Good girl,” he whispered, his voice thick with desire. “You take me so perfectly.”
He began to move inside her, his strokes deep and shallow at first, his body hovering over hers. Each thrust sent a wave of pleasure through her, and she moaned loudly, her cries filling the room as he picked up the pace. His hold on her was firm, possessive, and it only heightened the intensity between them. The way she looked, wearing his cropped French jersey with her ass exposed, drove him wild. It made something primal snap inside him, the sight of her body submitting to him in his national colors igniting a fire that burned even hotter.
“Tu es si belle… (You’re so beautiful…),” he growled as he slammed into her, the sound of skin slapping against skin reverberating around the room. His dick drove deeper, faster, as her body arched against him, and he could feel her tightening around him, her breath coming out in ragged gasps.
“Aurélien,” Y/N cried out, her voice muffled slightly as her face pressed into the sheets, but the raw pleasure in her tone was undeniable. She was close, and so was he. Every thrust pushed her closer to the edge, her body trembling beneath him, her cries becoming more frantic.
Aurélien’s eyes darkened as he watched her writhe under him, the sight of her losing herself to him making his control slip. He fucked her harder, his strokes turning relentless as his primal desire took over, driving her into the mattress with every powerful thrust. Her back arched, her fingers gripping the sheets desperately as she neared her release.
“I’m… I’m cumming,” Y/N gasped, her voice breaking as the waves of pleasure crashed over her. Her body convulsed beneath him, her walls clenching tightly around his dick as she cried out, her pleasure spilling out in uncontrollable moans.
Aurélien let out a low growl, his head falling back as her orgasm triggered his own. He thrust into her a few more times, his body tensing as he reached his climax. His eyes rolled back, and he groaned heavenward as he released deep inside her, his dick pulsing with every wave of his orgasm. He emptied himself completely, his breath coming out in ragged pants, overwhelmed by the intensity of it all.
They stayed like that for a moment, their bodies locked together, their breathing heavy and labored. Finally, Aurélien gently pulled out of her, stumbling slightly as he made his way to the bathroom. His legs felt weak from the force of his release, but he managed to grab a towel, dampening it with warm water.
Returning to Y/N, he gently wiped her down, his touch tender and careful. “Tu vas bien? (Are you okay?)” he asked softly, his voice laced with concern as he made sure she was comfortable.
Y/N nodded, still catching her breath, her body feeling like jelly after the intensity of what they’d just shared. Aurélien tossed the towel aside, pulling her into his arms and lying back on the bed, pressing her against his chest. He kissed the top of her head, his hands running soothingly up and down her back.
“Viens ici, ma belle… (Come here, my beautiful…),” he murmured, using a soft term of endearment as he held her close, their bodies tangled together. The warmth of his embrace, combined with the lingering afterglow, made her feel safe, cherished. They stayed like that, basking in the quiet intimacy that followed their wild celebration.

hazbin hotel's "stance" against the mass killing of hell's residents is hypocritical at best considering that amazon, a company that contributed to its creation, is... fine with it, apparently?

What No One Tells You About Writing 8— “Anyone can write a book”
Yes. But actually no. I say “writing is easy” in that it doesn’t take a degree and textbook learning to understand. You can get an English or lit degree if you want, but writing is incredibly subjective. It’s not even like an art degree that has you study different mediums and historical styles. “Writing is easy” in that it’s about feeling, and instinct, and a little bit of common sense. Anyone can do it in that it doesn’t take financial investment to start. Steal a tchotchke pen and paper from a hotel room—you’ve got all the tools you need. I have a communications degree and 9 years of experience, and I'm about to publish my first supernatural fantasy novel.
Writing is not easy, however, if any of the following applies to you:
You want to make enough money to do this full time
You want to appeal to mass audiences
You want to be a NYT bestseller**** or get an adaptation
You want to be regarded as the best of your generation and fill bookstore shelves
1. It takes a healthy dose of self-awareness and a reality check
I beta’d for an author who thought that he was comparable to GRRM, the author of A Song of Ice and Fire, because both have adult themes in their book and if GRRM can do it, why can’t he? The sheer vastness of the divide between ASOIAF and this awful, awful manuscript wasn’t worth putting into words for the amount I was being paid, though I tried.
Yes, you can write whatever you want. Yes, you can write to please yourself and stroke your ego. You can write the hammiest wish-fulfillment author insert that you desire. But you can’t expect anyone else to want to read or pay money for it. It’s great to have confidence as an author and envision your success, but starting right off the bat with “everyone will love this book because I’m really smart and I love this book” is only going to leave you bitter and penniless.
2. You might be an expert in your given field, doesn’t automatically make you an expert at storycrafting
I really, truly want the above godawful toe wart of a human (who tried to justify pedophilia in his book with the Israel-Palestine conflict) to stop featuring in my writing advice, but I know he’s not the only person out there who thinks like this. You might have a doctorate in engineering, medicine, political science, chemistry, physics, history, paleontology—any field you want. That does not mean you can successfully translate your expertise into a well-crafted and compelling narrative. It means you can write a college textbook lecturing your readers for 300 pages. Heck, if you can't explain what you do like I'm 5 years old, then you're not an expert in your field.
Elements of good storytelling include well-rounded characters, solid pacing, compelling themes and motifs, an engaging main conflict and character arcs and edge-of-your-seat action, romance, debates, and arguments. It’s so much more than “I’m going to write a textbook, but have my character tell it to you, and everyone will love it”.
They won’t.
3. “I’m gonna be a millionaire like JKR”
The frustrating thing about making money writing is that at the end of the day, you are still selling a product. Which means that it doesn’t matter how amazing you think it is, if it’s not what sells. The Fifty Shades series is hardly a poetic epic with deep, meaningful characters and themes, but it sold. It got adaptations. Why? Because it was a product people wanted and its writing style appeals to mass audiences who aren’t entertained by fluffy, antiquated prose. I hated the Divergent books. They soullessly and shamelessly fed off the success of Hunger Games. But they sold because “teen dystopia HP houses” was what audiences craved and what Hollywood was pushing to make movies out of.
Personally I don’t have any nostalgia for Harry Potter and I both wish I did so I could have one more beloved series and fandom to participate in, but also am glad I don’t because of JKR. HP is chock full of plot holes and “fuck it we’ll do it live” worldbuilding and so many concepts that look cool on paper until you really start thinking about it.
JKR didn’t make a million dollars because she wrote the greatest fantasy series. JKR made a million dollars because she wrote a book that sells every goddamn piece of lore for $15.99 or more and collects on all those sweet, sweet royalties. She understood that she’s selling a product, not just a story, selling everything from Slytherin ties and wizarding robes to golden snitches, sorting hats, wands, chocolate frogs, and every other prop seen in the movies.
You sure can chase trends and I’m sure Divergent is somebody’s favorite book and you can hock chocolate frogs. Everyone’s writing goals are different.
4. “But GRRM did it” (or, adhering to genre expectations)
Circling back to this one. Once again, you can write whatever you want, no one is stopping you. However, books are products and if what’s in the summary and on the cover isn’t what’s on the pages, you’re going to upset and annoy your readers. For example, if I slap a chiseled six-pack of man meat on my book cover with flowy calligraphy for the title that reads something like Sex and Pink Champagne and my summary is all about how protagonist girl gets the adonis of her dreams, you’re not going to be happy if, 200 pages in, the plot detours and Mr. Sexy fucks off to sell NFTs.
It doesn’t meet genre expectations.
GoT kicks off with incest and child defenestration. It tells you *exactly* what you’re getting into immediately. You can subvert plot expectations all you want. You can subvert tropes and archetypes and throw in all kinds of twists and turns. But if you’re writing a YA novel and 100 pages in after campfire songs and the power of friendship, Protagonist gets assaulted in a 7-11 parking lot because you wanted to be ~edgy~ you’re going to piss off your readers.
Take Mulan for example. It has a dramatic tonal shift so powerful, the musical stops being a musical because it’s traumatized. Mulan doesn’t drop in the grizzled and horrifying wasteland of a battlefield with thousands of dead soldiers in an episode of Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. It’s already a war movie, the possibility is already there.
If you want to write adult content, then write a book for audiences who are prepared for and want to read adult content. Otherwise you’re setting yourself up for failure.
5. “Okay but it’s not entertaining”
Your first job as an author is to entertain (your second is to do it responsibly imo). There’s millions of books out there—why should someone read yours? Whether that’s entertainment through a feel-good romance or a gut-wrenching tragedy, you need to keep convincing your readers to stay invested in the story, otherwise they can and will put it down to read something else. No one is obligated to read your book to the end.
So, yeah your protagonist might have all the elements of your own personal tragedies and it sure is meaningful to you, but the way you wrote it is incredibly boring and no one will care. It might be the most brilliant heist plot ever conceived, but you focused on all the wrong elements, the pacing is whack, and your protagonist is annoying, so no one will read it.
Very few individual elements can be good enough to carry the entire manuscript and the likelihood of an author being really good at one thing and awful at the rest is slim. Readers can quit a book over the most arbitrary reasons. Do you want to die on a hill of “I’m not changing my annoying protagonist, I’m right and they will see”? They won’t. The arguments authors get into with me over how I hated their protagonist or I told them which parts were boring and dragged because I “didn’t understand the story” are pointless. If it’s boring or confusing or annoying, no one will read it.
6. First Drafts are drafts for a reason
Actually writing is less than half the time and effort spent on getting a book to publication. Probably less than a quarter. The rest of that time is spent editing and rewriting. Some first drafts will be better than others, not arguing that, but your first run through your story has a non-zero chance of needing revisions, even for something as small as typos and punctuation.
You have to edit for pacing and tonal shifts, erroneous details and entire scenes, character inconsistencies and goals. You have to make sure your conversations flow believably, that you hit every talking point that scene requires. You have to make sure your character’s motivations don’t create plot holes and that they’re always on track like a real person and not a creation of your imagination. You have to make sure your action scenes and sex scenes are legible and as thrilling for a reader as they are for you. You have to make sure your worldbuilding is consistent and logical and easy to understand.
Some people outline heavily before starting page one. Some people have a sticky note of “beginning middle end” and run off that. Some have whole folders of different documents to keep track of all their elements. Everyone’s writing process is different, but it is a process, not a one-and-done. It requires revisions, seeking feedback, implementing that feedback, and more revisions until it’s as good as it can be.
Yes, you need to edit. No, you’re not the writing god who penned perfection on your first try. Maybe a piece of your story is perfect on the first draft, but not the whole thing from start to finish. It’s okay that your story isn’t what you thought it would be when you started, and it’s no failing of you as a writer to need edits or even massive changes. It happens to everyone.
7. “Writing is easy, thus it’s not a real job”
Really the notion that creatives are lesser than corporate business people solving problems that their business created. But specifically for writing, the idea that it’s just putting words on a page, thus it’s easy and anyone can do it, so it’s not impressive or deserving of praise and you really need a real job (you probably will because writing doesn’t make much money for most people, but that’s just how it shakes out).
I know ENNS won’t appeal to everyone. I know there will be people who hate my characters, who don’t understand them or don’t agree with their philosophies or find my writing trite and too lean and not ~immersive~. I know there’ll be homophobes out there who won’t even read it but hear about it and make assumptions and will leave me crap reviews. I know it’s not the greatest supernatural fantasy novel ever written.
I’m not in it to make money or get a movie deal and see my merch all over the shelves and get my own theme park. I write so that even one reader might see themselves in my characters and know they’re not alone. So that even one reader has one of my characters as their favorite and that character motivates them to do the Thing or keep moving forward or be brave enough to finally do whatever they’ve been too afraid to attempt before. I want to help people, even if at the end of the day, my writing only helps myself.
Yes I need supplemental income (who doesn’t these days). It’s the way of the world. But I’m doing what I love in my free time and it is a real job because it takes work, and it might not have monetary value but its value to me is priceless.

Well, Israel lost, but at least Eden Golan got in the top 5. But perhaps it's better like this. Can't imagine what would have happen, if she had actually won. Already she had to be escorted from her hotel and back during the competitions.
But... she still got in the top 5, and it's still a big win for her country. Couldn't be prouder of her.
Yeah, that’s true. Tbh, the prospect of seeing the antisemites melt was at least 50% of the reason I voted for her, but she did do really well and it might have been for the best

Introduction post!
Basics
Hi!!!
My name is Kesar (or any other variant of the name Caesar is fine to call me!) and I am 15. I am neurodivergent. I am an Asian-European (India and Sweden!), Hindu, and my pronouns are he/they!
Interests and Likes
I have a hyperfixation/special interest (I don't know which to use because I'm in denial about being autistic LMAO) of the Mediterranean, mostly Italy and Spain but also France, Portugal, Egypt, Greece, etc!
Languages
Due to my interest, I have taught myself Italian all on my own and I study Spanish at school since 2020, so I can speak them both at a good level.
All of the languages I speak as well as some more info on my history with them:
Swedish, I speak it every day and a bit at home
Hindi, I speak it every day at home with my family
English, I speak it here and I consume a lot of English media. Also I went to an international school for a couple of years.
Spanish, I've been learning it at school. Ever since I started learning it I've been the best in the class (this is very much a flex, I am very proud of the fact). I speak it at a very good level but I'm not close to fluent.
Italian, I am very proud of that I speak it because I learnt it all on my own using primarily music. I started learning it in 2021 but then took a LONG break for almost 2 years and in 2023 I got back on track and learnt it so well I'm almost at the same level at it as I am at Spanish hahaha
French, as I speak Spanish and Italian it wasn't that hard for me to get a grasp at French. I'm definitely not good at it and am best at written French, not spoken, but I understand enough to say I know it. Also, I can carry a conversation in French so. Yeah. I also really like Lupin.
Urdu, as I speak Hindi I understand Urdu well. Of course there are words I don't know, but since I understand so much of it and I speak it better than I speak Spanish or Italian I had to include it.
Music
My favourite song artists are Marco Mengoni and MIKA. They are my top 2. I love them so much.
I also listen to Mahmood, Måneskin, Queen, The Lonely Island, Lady Gaga, Kali Uchis, Megan Thee Stallion, Veronica Maggio, Shreya Ghoshal, and a lot more.
Apart from that I like English music from 2000 to the late 2010s. I also like Hindi music, rap (i listen to a LOT of Megan Thee Stallion, she's such a queen), Eurovision (although I am not supporting them this year due to them including Israel, Free Palestine🇵🇸), Hispanic music, Francophone music, Italian music and Swedish music. I also enjoy classical, both South Asian and European.
TV
I love TV! My favourites are dramedies. I like comedy a lot. My favourite type of show would be sitcoms because I understand them and I grew up with them and I like their humour. Here are TV shows I very, very strongly like in no particular order:
Psych, Brooklyn Nine Nine, Community, 1899, Mythic Quest, Lupin, Monk, SNL (Saturday Night Live) and probably more that I just don't remember right now.
I have also watched a lot of other things, but this is all that comes to mind.
There are films that I really like, and most of them I have watched more than a few times. Like there were literally periods when I would just keep rewatching these:
The Kung Fu Panda film series, The Hotel Transylvania film series, The Lorax (specifically the Italian dub), The Shrek film series, and once again probably many more.
Other stuff I like:
Doraemon, Spider-Man: Into The Spiderverse & Across The Spiderverse, Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhaan (2020), Smiley (2022), Saiki K (TV series, I haven't been able to read the manga :/), etc.
Books
Mostly I read fact books, in middle school the librarian hated me for (metaphorically) eating up all the books on ancient Egypt, but I also have a few books I really like!
I love Rick Riordan. My favourite from him is definitely The Kane Chronicles but I also like PJO. I'm TKC all the way, though.
I also like Geronimo & Thea Stilton as well as Diary of a Wimpy Kid. They give me comfort.
I have a lot of queer books I bought for the sole reason of them being queer but I haven't read them yet hahahaha. I'm almost finished with Friday I'm In Love by Camryn Garrett!
I am also reading Babel by R. F. Kuang and Marina by Carlos Ruiz Zafón!
Playlist time!
My Marco Mengoni playlist:
My Brad Bakshi playlist:
My Trobed playlist:
My Braddavid playlist:
My StottleMonk playlist:
My Sethon playlist:
That is all I can really come up with right now, but I will probably edit this soon! I'm not very good at stating what I like and all of that because I'm always scared I'm not telling everything or that people won't understand how I like it and stuff LMAO so don't be surprised if I take this post down :( I'm trying to get better though, so I'll keep it up!

I am unfollowing you, but it's not because of your Hazbin Hotel posts. I'm unfollowing because you have reblogged from posters who, whether intentionally or not, continue to conflate the ongoing criticism of Israel with antisemitism. As if it is antisemitism alone that drives criticism of a nation bombing civilians and openly discussing ethnic cleansing as the end goal of their campaign.
Acting like the flagrant abuse of human right is only not okay because of who is doing it is morally backwards. It ignores how deeply engrained and vocal our politics and politicians are in this abuse, and the difference between being witness and now being a forced participant effects our response.
While antisemitism certainly plays a part in the discourse around Israel and Gaza, white supremacists are just as capable of Islamophobia and antisemitism. Holocaust deniers will still stand up for Israel because of their own warped evangelical faith. Their support for Israel doesn't make them less bigoted.
Nationalistic movements that tie religious and ethnic identities to citizenship and civil rights do not become less abusive because the people behind them were once the persecuted.
I'm terribly sad my ASOIAF blog will no longer be able to provide you with the very best of Hazbin Hotel fandom content. 😬
As for the rest, you clearly haven't really engaged with the posts I have reblogged, and if you think my occasional reblogs of posts criticizing the very real rise in antisemitism worldwide (i.e. against Jewish people no matter where they live) are signaling some kind of approval of war crimes? Well, I can't help you there. I hope you get better. But clearly we're not a good match at this point.

Hi, I'm Elliott (they/he) and I write shit sometimes! I'm a trans guy in college that's trying to get back into writing. I'm also super neurodivergent (Autistic/ADHD/prob other things idk), so I like writing fics that are inclusive to queer and neurodiverse folks :)
Please send in prompts or requests! Fair warning that I am a full-time college student that struggles a lot with procrastination and motivation. Thank you for all the love and support! <3
NOTE: NEW WORKS/PROMPT FILLS WILL BE TAKING A LITTLE LONGER!! I'm a full-time college student that's currently going through a very short-notice move, so writing is not one of my top priorities at the moment. I will do my best to get new stuff out, but fair warning that they will take longer and might not be as long as my previous works. Thank you for understanding!
Below are links to my Masterlist, details for Prompt Requests, a form for being put on a Taglist for my writing posts, and my AO3! Please read the rest of this post for rules and info about my blog. I'd appreciate it!

I might write NSFW in the future! Minors are allowed to interact with my regular SFW content, but NOT the NSFW. While I can't stop any of you from doing it anyways, this is a personal boundary. I don't want to get in trouble because people don't have common sense or self control. If I see that you interacted with one of my NSFW posts, I will check for an age in your bio. If your age is below 18 or is not listed at all, then I'll block you. (I won't check ages for everyone that follows me, only those that interact with the NSFW If you don't feel comfy putting your age in your bio, either don't interact with those posts or DM me, I guess. I just want to be cautious!)
As for proshippers, I honestly just don't want to deal with that whole can of worms, so as long as none of you ask me to write proship content or anything like that, you're fine ig. I just don't want to go through the effort of actively blocking people and checking accounts for that kinda stuff.
I DO NOT SUPPORT VIVZIEPOP. I like writing with characters she's made and I enjoy consuming content of Hazbin Hotel and Helluva Boss, but I do my best to avoid monetarily supporting either series. I don't expect all of you to do the same; I just wanted to make that clear.
Also, FREE PALESTINE. If you support Israel, get the fuck off my blog and reevaluate your worldview.
The headers are created by me, but the dividers used in my posts are made by @saradika-graphics!

The Combat Engineering Corps. officer said that the way to see this tragedy is from a “glass half full” perspective, doing the best that can be done in these difficult circumstances.
The engineers continued their work in the lead-up to the ground offensive on October 27. Then they helped the IDF armored and infantry units maneuver along the coast. The D9 helps clear the way and neutralize threats. Terrorists were eliminated in villas and hotels along the coast.
Later, the unit moved into western Jabalya, a densely built-up area near Gaza. The IDF’s 162nd Division has done the heavy lifting there, penetrating into Jabalya and defeating the terrorists there. The goal of the engineers is to help prepare areas for maneuvers and bulldoze areas that might be threatening to troops.
For instance, troops might need to go through an orchard or an area of trees bifurcated by small wadis (streams). The bulldozer can go in and flatten a path. It will churn up the dirt as well, removing booby traps or other dangers. This will help prevent anti-tank guided missile (ATGM) or RPG attacks.
Many IDF armored vehicles these days have active protection systems, such as the Trophy system that is on Merkava tanks and Namer armored personnel carriers. Israel’s D9s and Eitan APCs are supposed to be kitted out with the Iron Fist protection system. Despite these protective systems, vehicles can be damaged and soldiers killed by the ATGM and RPG threat. Harari described how there were ATGM threats in Jabalya. The unit brought in tanks and eliminated two terrorists in one instance.
Engineering units come in various types and sizes. There are the elite units such as the Yahalom that perform special missions. There are other units that are experts in explosives and demolition; they can act with great precision. Then there are the heavy machinery engineers, like those in Harari’s unit.
Today, many engineering units are in Gaza, including Yahalom, the 614th Combat Engineers, the 603rd, and the 8170 and 7017 Battalions. In many cases, these units work closely with other ones in the IDF, such as infantry and tanks, as part of larger organic units, such as the 162nd or 36th Divisions.

As a teenager, I was embarrassed about liking chopped liver. To be fair, I was embarrassed about most things — my parents, my lack of the coolest sneakers, and my freckles among many other things. But liking chopped liver was high up on the list. It was just one of those gross foods: aesthetically unappealing, greyish and mushy, and just plain weird. None of my non-Jewish schoolmates had ever heard of anything like it.
But it tasted so damn good. All of it did — my grandmother’s, made from beef livers and shimmering with schmaltz served weekly at Shabbat lunch; the mass-produced packaged stuff that was kind of gristly, in a not-all-bad way; the scoops of it sandwiched between two slightly stale slices of white bread at the kosher deli (which may well have been the packaged stuff); and best of all, the creamier pate-like offerings, topped with a sweet fruit chutney, served at Friday night buffets in Israeli hotels. Chopped liver was rich and didn’t require a lot of effort — you barely needed to chew it. It also sparked an iron-fueled rush of energy. It was my guilty pleasure.
I didn’t realize I had been so spoiled in the chopped liver department until I left home from England, to Israel, where it was actually quite hard to find. Israeli chefs were deep into a returning-to-culinary-roots movement but hadn’t really delved into the Ashkenazi kitchen yet, preferring the spicier, sexier Mizrahi dishes like kubbeh and upscale stuffed pita sandwiches. I could find chopped liver in haredi areas like Bnei Brak, but it was a real schlep.
So I did what any committed liver enthusiast would do: I started making my own. I had my grandmother’s recipe, but beef livers were hard to come by, so I set my sights on a chicken liver version I’d found in Geila Hocherman’s Kosher Modern cookbook. This was more a pate; it departed from tradition in some quite ballsy ways, like adding capers! And thyme! And chili flakes! I was intrigued.
Finding chicken livers wasn’t a problem — there were trays of them, slippery and pink, in the Carmel Market in Tel Aviv. And, like those my Ashkenazi ancestors cooked within Eastern Europe, they were cheap and sold raw. Back at home, I gave my grandmother a call and she, delighted by my culinary undertaking, gave me step-by-step instructions. First I had to rinse the livers, salt them, and broil them — this was going to take some time.
I tend to be an impatient cook — technique-heavy, complicated recipes bring out the worst in me. But the process of making chopped liver was unexpectedly enjoyable. Growing up in an Orthodox community, my role as a woman often felt passive, mostly consisting of watching the men participate in Judaism. So it felt new, and welcome, to take on the active task of preparing the livers, with instructions passed down through my matriarchs for generations.
Once they’d been sufficiently broiled on both sides, I added the livers to a pan with caramelized onions, capers, thyme chili flakes, and a splash of white wine. Then I blitzed the mixture and a few slices of soaked bread with a hand mixer and steeled myself for a taste.
While the unorthodox ingredients added a saline spurt and chili zing, the chopped liver tasted wonderfully familiar. It was my take on all the other versions I’d gorged myself on before — not competing with them, but adding something a little new. I was content and even proud. I sat at the kitchen table with a glass of red wine, a box of crackers, and a jar of mango chutney and ate half my homemade liver in one sitting. Not the healthiest snack, I grant you, but it was an important reminder to me that sometimes it is worth investing time in the kitchen to please only yourself. Making chopped liver began as an exercise in nostalgia but turned out to be much more — an act of culinary self-care.

hiii, welcome to Tumblr, aka a fun hellsite, I'm Samantha!! <3
can you do crossover headcanons between Lackadaisy and Hazbin Hotel, if possible? Like not only the Lackadaisy Trio (Rocky, Ivy, Freckle) somehow ended up in hell, but ALSO The Marigold Trio? (Mordecai, Nico, Serafine). I feel like the antics of the rum-running cats would certainly intrigue the hotel guests, but Alastor would immediately take a liking to them because of the whole 1920s thing. Also Alastor and Mordecai possibly bonding (because both of them are canonically ace! <3)
If that's okay?? hope you enjoy it here! :D
Hello Samantha! I absolutely love crossovers but this may not be the best since it’s my first request but I’ll give it a try!
—————————————————————————
• First Off, Alastor and Mordecai would actually be the ace duo, but I also feel like he would sometimes be peeved off with Alastor because of his “Vexing behaviour”
• Alastor also has taken a liking to the Lackadaisy Trio and finds them very amusing (they are lit one of the best trios in the world) he also scares the absolute shit out of Freckle
• This is a bit of a stupid thought but a very drunk or not drunk Rocky would annoy the shit out of Husk in the bar (where else would he be cmon)
• This would be 100% canon if this happened because if Angel Dust + Cheri Bomb and Serafine + Nico would have an absolute whale of a time shooting and bombing places and other demons/devils, like they would lit be a power quadruple(?)
• I feel like Charlie and Ivy would also kinda get along since they both love dancing (I had to re-research this) so I feel like they would dance to music from the 20’s together 🥹
•Rocky would deffo call Charlie m’lady.
•Freckle social distances from Angel for the you-know-what reason (pew pew 🔫)
•Can’t rlly think of anything else besides Freckle would probs stay with Vaggie the whole time (he’s scared as shit and he finds safety in Vaggie)
————————————————————————
AHHH FIRST ONE DONE
IT ISNT THE BEST IK BUT I RLLY COULDNT THINK OF ANYTHING, HOPEFULLY MY WRITING IMPROVES
Also I forgot to mention the dni’s in my introduction post so I’m just gonna put them here:
Homophobia
Transphobia
Racism
NSFW (I get uncomfortable writing this category of stuff)
Sexism
Israel Supporters
and basically everything in the dni book
Requests are still open btw!

The whole trip had been a disaster. John had not been able to enjoy a single second. Arabs were loud and pushy. Petra had been broken and dirty. At the Gulf of Aqaba he had had the worst sunburn of his life. And he had diarrhea all the time. He had let every waiter, every guide, every cab driver know that he didn't like it in Jordan at all. He was convinced that these barbarians did not understand English anyway. That's why he insulted everyone through and through. He had not allowed himself to be deprived of this pleasure. John was so rude and so pushy that his reputation had preceded him by a long way. First, hotels had gone to the trouble of trying to appease him with the best rooms and the best service. In the end, he got the treatment he deserved: The worst!
Even on the way to the airport had not withdrawn in the cab. The cab driver found it very difficult to stay calm. But he couldn't resist wishing John a nice day and a good flight in his best English. And then cursing him in Arabic. It was a good curse. And it worked fast.
John didn't even notice that he spoke only Arabic at the Amman airport. As soon as he entered the building, English had completely disappeared from his memory. John was much too busy to hand in his suitcase as quickly as possible, to get his boarding pass and to get through the security check. And actually, that worked out much better and smoother in Arabic than if he had had to struggle through in English. He even calmed down to some extent and finally enjoyed good American cuisine again at Mc Donald's in the terminal.
On the plane, he had the reserved window seat. That had worked out as well. Only his seat neighbor he had not been able to understand at first. So he had to ask. His neighbor was more than happy that the foreign-looking man spoke his language perfectly, and a conversation quickly developed about sports and politics. Both men liked soccer. And both men shared the opinion that the influence of the USA and Israel had to be limited. In Istanbul, both men said goodbye cordially.
Istanbul's new airport was huge. Fortunately, almost all signs were in Turkish, English and Arabic. Still, the passage through security was arduous. He looked a bit enviously at the passengers with passports from Europe and North America. With them, the check went faster. But a Jordanian passport and then also the army backpack as hand luggage did not make things easier. Fortunately, he got through the check quickly enough to get to a prayer room in time. He didn't want to miss the Friday noon prayer while traveling.
Hamza still had some time before his connecting flight to New York. He wanted to eat something in any case, as long as he could get some authentic Arabic cuisine. And take advantage of the fact that there were still standing toilets here at the airport. With the infidels you had to sit down, he had heard. The closer he got to the U.S., the greater his respect for traveling there. Strange food, strange toilets, and a language he didn't speak. He knew a few bits of English from school. But that probably wouldn't help him. He had heard, however, that the people there were supposed to be hospitable and tolerant.
Hamza had a respectful stature. And the wife beater, the kufiya and his tattoos certainly contributed to a badass appearance. But that didn't stop the American retiree behind him from loudly complaining that all Arabs, like the half-naked savage in front of him, were guaranteed terrorists. Thank Allah! Hamza did not understand a word of it.
Realized at the request of @hottfguys. May Allah protect you!

Im sorry if this is dumb but can i ask what the deal with stranger things is? Feel like there’s something i missed (why you don’t want to be involved with it anymore etc)
There are people more educated and better with their words than me, so forgive me if this isn’t the most eloquent explanation.
It’s a lot of things leading up to just not really wanting to watch anymore. There’s minor things, the fandom as whole becoming less enjoyable, the person who drove everyone away from the Ronance tag with spam, and the people who did the same by filling the tag with Steddie and mistagged background Ronance.
I am enjoying the storyline less and less. The inconsistent characterization is annoying, for one.
I am irritated with Netflix and their cancellation of wlw media but continued renewals for mlm and straight media. I don’t want to give them the watch hours.
But that is all trivial. The biggest thing is just the EXTREMELY poor way that the show has handled some pretty major things. The Russia plotline in ST4 was filmed in a Nazi prison, which they then advertised as a hotel. I don’t think I have to explain why that’s bad and insensitive.
There is also the matter of one of the most major historical events I have yet lived to see. The atrocities that are being committed by Israel in their occupation and genocide in Palestine are just that—atrocities. I want to make it very clear where I stand on that: Palestine needs to be free. (Again, if I’m not wording this properly, forgive me, I just woke up and I’m not the best at explaining things). I support the boycotts. I’m surprised I haven’t seen a call for boycotting Stranger Things. I know for sure Noah Schnapp supports zionism, regardless of his half assed “apology.” We all know that was a publicity stunt. Murray’s actor downright refuses to apologize and is advertising his support to Israel. The whole thing is just disgusting and further driving me away from the show as a whole.
Maybe I’m taking it to the extreme with plans to orphan and discontinue my ST fics, but I just do not want to be associated with zionists, nor do I find any enjoyment from writing ST anymore.
So yeah. Lots of reasons. From the river to the sea, Palestine will be free.
#man I hope I explained this right#I’d tag ST but I don’t want to deal with a fight if someone decides to pick one#palestine

Hey, is it okay to interact with your blog if I personally enjoy Hazbin Hotel and Helluva Boss but do not condone any bad things done by Vivsiepop because of that?
I'm staying anonymous because I really like your content, but want to know your stance on this and if I should follow the DNI. Also some of the stuff I share on this ask is liable to get me doxxed if a bad person finds this.
I know the alleged (i'm saying alleged because although there is a bit of evidence there's not enough to condemn Vivsie thouroghly) antisemitism and homophobia is bad, however I'm a jewish bisexual person so I think I have the authority to still like it.
I know it may be problematic, but it's hard to just stop liking a work, especially if you only find out the creator is problematic after you view the media.
Also, after sharing the fact I'm Jewish, I also wanna state that that does not mean I condone Isreal's actions. I hold a neutral stance about the war.
Signed, R.
I understand what you mean by "liking a certain media before finding out the creator is bad."
I once used to like Vivziepop and her works, but I chose to distance myself from it, as I, a trans man, did not want to associate myself with her work. Especially regarding stuff she's said about trans people.
You can interact with my blog, but just don't bring it up. I've had a lot of bad memories regarding the creator, the fanbase, and her shows.
You like it, good for you! I personally don't.
As long as you're not supporting Vivziepop's actions, then I'm fine with it, even though I do not like any of her shows personally.
And for reference, the Israel-Palestine issue is not a war. It is a genocide against the Palestines. Do what you can to help, thanks.
Stay safe out there anon, I wish you the best.

What’s the situation like, with the protests? I’ve seen images of streets filled with protestors.
I don't live in Israel, but the situation got pretty extreme yesterday. After the Defense Minister said the judicial reform plan should be halted, Netanyahu fired him. It was already the middle of the night and yet people streamed into the streets and redoubled the already huge protests. The next morning the Histadrut - Israel's largest and most important union - called a general strike, the first in decades and by far the largest in the country's history. Pretty much EVERYTHING SHUT DOWN IMMEDIATELY. Schools, universities, businesses, embassies, Ben-Gurion airport (the only previous time I had ever heard of it closing was after a Hamas lucky shot in 2014, and this was seen as a death-level shock), the hotel and tourism industry (UNTHINKABLE, they kept Eurovision running even during a big blow-up with Gaza). Netanyahu backed down somewhat, said the plan would be postponed until summer and Lapid/Gantz/Herzog said it was time for real negotiation, the general strike ended and everything reopened and by my understanding the protests have calmed and shrunken. Now, maybe Netanyahu thought he could do a pretend postponement, wait for everyone's attention to lapse and energy to fade, then ram the same thing through anyway in the summer, but the threat of a general strike has really changed the equation. If he repeats, they'll repeat.
Here is a good article summarizing how things got here and what the political impact has been.
To give simpler background, as best I can as a long-term observer:
The Israeli Supreme Court acts without the checks and balances that most Westerners (and certainly Americans) would recognize. There is no input from voters or legislators. No Presidential nominees, no Congressional hearings. Israeli lawyers and judges appoint new judges, that's that. Because Israel has no Constitution, there's no real boundary on what the ISC can do. They can intervene on pretty much any issue as long as they say they are being "reasonable." Now it just so happens that the ISC has been a reliable protector of minority rights, women's rights, Arab rights, LGBT rights, etc. So it's "doing the right thing, the wrong way," because it could decide tomorrow to strip away minority rights just because, and nobody could say boo. It is not inherently unreasonable for people to want judicial reform, to want there to be some level of election-related involvement in who sits on the court. But that cause is now discredited because a gang of indicted criminals and terrorist sympathizers tried to ram it through while also ending all investigations into their own crimes, stealing the power for the Knesset to overturn court decisions, limiting the Law of Return, etc.
This began because Netanyahu has compulsively betrayed and backstabbed so many of his natural allies in right-wing parties (Gantz, Liberman, Sa'ar, Bennett, etc.) that he literally cannot form a governing coalition with people who know how to govern. His only chance to get a majority was to elevate a Halloween parade of ultra-ultra-fringe lunatics (Ben-Gvir, Smotrich, Maoz), and that's who is in charge now. It's ironic because the whole point of Benjamin Netanyahu - the "value proposition" as it were - is that he was good at preventing major change while also growing the economy and diplomatic partnerships. And he has now shit on all that. If a new election were held today, Lapid or Gantz would be PM tomorrow. Inshallah.
There is A LOT in Israel that is clunky and unfair. The rabbinate, the marriage laws, school system, Temple Mount status quo, Haredi draft, ISC jurisdiction, and that's just in Israel, not even getting to the Palestinian Territories. In all such cases, it is better for people to try to cope with a clumsy work-around than to charge right at the gate with a big fast change. People have been fighting over literally every grain of sand there for 2,000 years and they are lucky it works even as well as it does.
