OUTSIDE IN (2017) Grade: B-
Solid indie film. Tight script. Sensitive film that never takes the easy route with plot turns. I actually like the ending, brave.

The TARDIS jumps a time track and the travellers arrive on the planet Xeros. There they discover their own future selves displayed as exhibits in a museum established as a monument to the galactic conquests of the warlike Morok invaders who now rule the planet. The Moonbase
Synopsis
The TARDIS arrives in 2070 on the Moon, where a weather control station under the command of a man named Hobson is in the grip of a plague epidemic — in reality the result of an alien poison planted by the Cybermen. The Macra Terror
Synopsis
When the Second Doctor, Ben, Polly and Jamie visit a human colony that appears to be one big holiday camp, they think they have come across a truly happy place. Yet a shadowy presence soon makes them realise that the surface contentment is carefully controlled.
The colony's inhabitants have been brainwashed by giant, crab-like creatures — the Macra. Insidious propaganda, broadcast by the Controller, forces the humans to mine a gas that is essential for the Macra to survive, but fatal to them.
The colony must be saved — but how? The Doctor and his team are up against it, particularly when Ben falls under the influence of the Macra. Can he be rescued from their evil clutches? Can the gas pumping equipment be destroyed, getting rid of the Macra for good?

The Ice Warriors
Synopsis
The TARDIS arrives on Earth in a new ice age. The travellers make their way into a base where scientists, commanded by Leader Clent, are using an ioniser device to combat the advance of a glacier.
A giant humanoid creature, called an Ice Warrior by one of the scientists, has been found buried in the nearby glacier. When thawed, it revives and is revealed to be Varga, captain of a Martian spacecraft that landed on Earth centuries ago and is still in the glacier. Varga sets about freeing his comrades and formulating a plan to conquer the Earth — Mars itself is now dead.

The Seeds of Death
Synopsis
The TARDIS lands in a space museum on Earth in the late 21st century, where the Second Doctor, Jamie and Zoe learn that contact has been lost between Earth and the Moon. In this era, instant travel — T-Mat — has revolutionised the Earth. Its people have lost interest in space travel. The Doctor and his companions travel to the Moon in an old-style rocket and reach the Moonbase, control centre for T-Mat, only to find a squad of Ice Warriors have commandeered the base and plan to use the T-Mat network to their advantage.

hello! next to normal is basically the only thing i've thought about for the past month and i'm dying to talk about it with someone so i'm just gonna leave a bunch of questions here please feel free to answers as many or as few as you like :D
would love to know what you thought about the west end covers you saw
who is your favourite person who has played each role?
you mentioned in your review that you find the west end gabe less creepy than i'm presuming aaron tviet's interpretation? would love if you wanted to elaborate more on that cause personally the west end gabe is the first time i've ever found him 'creepy'. aaron's always had a distinct jockish confidence to me that made him scary because he felt powerful but still not creepy imo
what're your favourite songs? mine are i am the one (reprise) and didn't i see this movie?
do you have any strong opinions on a movie adaptation? personally i hate the idea. i think so much of the power of the show comes from the fact that it's happening Right In Front Of You and i also think no matter what they did they'd butcher how gabe appears
if this version goes to broadway, who is your dream cast? (pretty sure caissie levy's a lock in bc according to the director he wouldn't have done the show if she didn't agree to play diana, but dream big or whatever)
hello!! thank u so much for this omg. i just replied to an ask about the west end covers
favorite person in each role: jessica phillips as diana, brian d'arcy james as dan, meghann fahy as natalie, louis hobson as madden/fine but trevor dion nicholas could usurp that i think! random but there's this regional production that had a gabe i LOVED (landen starkman), and then of course adam chanler beret IS henry
re: creepy gabe, what i mean by that is the freudian aspect to original gabe (think the original blocking of i am the one). they really took literally "he's a hero a lover a prince" which works and makes sense for bway but in the west end one it doesn't have the abstract/dream feel to it and that's probably they removed that aspect of gabe, it wouldn't transfer well. he's just less physically close and touchy with the goodman family
ahh i don't even know what my favorite songs are, they change depending on my mood lol. but i think i always love light and i've been
nooooo movie please they already let riverdale butcher the show i cant take a dearevanhansification of it. and you're right, there's no way to make gabe on screen work well. it needs to be a live production
for a broadway cast i wouldn't be mad at caissie levy!! if it takes a decade or more to get it back on broadway i'd love meghann fahy to return as diana. ben tyler cook or josh colley could do a great gabe, jordan fisher henry?? let adam chanler beret come back as madden/fine?? and this is kinda random but i saw josh groban in sweeney and was like oh that's dan goodman

Ben Platt Shares His Tour Must-Haves, From Uncrustables to Martinis
Tibrina Hobson/Getty Images What do Ben Platt and Travis Kelce have in common? A love of Uncrustables, for one. “I always have Uncrustables in my dressing room because: (a) peanut butter has a lot of protein, and (b) it’s a really comforting snack and makes all these unfamiliar places on the road feel very homey,” Platt, 30, reveals exclusively in his Backstage Pass feature in the latest issue of…

Dunes, 1955 - Las Vegas News Bureau.
Credit for the 38-foot Sultan figure atop the casino has alternatively been given to Ben Mitchem of YESCO, who built the Dunes lighting and display, and a lesser-known sculptor named Kermit Hobson Hawkins.
“A grinning three-story high fiberglass Sultan, in sparking white and golf attire, was roof-mounted over looking the porte-corchere and flanked with matching sets of illuminated letters. Designed by Ben Mitchem, the construction was supervised by Jack Larsen Sr. ... the innovative installation by YESCO pioneered the use of large fiberglass elements ...” - Charles Barnard. The Magic Sign (‘93).
“Mr. Hawkins has taken a leave of absence to execute several sculptural works on his own. He recently completed modeling of ‘The Sheik,’ a 38-foot figure which overlooks Las Vegas newest luxury hotel, ‘The Dunes.’” - from an article title “Hobson Hawkins Dreams of Moses Statue Towering Over Phenix City,” 7/6/56, quoted in an article from Citizen of East Alabama.
The Sultan figure was replaced by the Dunes high rise in ‘64. It was disassembled and moved to the Dunes Golf course, where it remained until it was destroyed by an electrical fire in ‘86.
