Now that qsmp s1 is officially out of the way, i've been thinking about my favorite character arc—and i think it's gotta be Jaiden's. She was paired up with Roier to take care of Bobby, but most days she wasn't very active. they would welcome her whenever she logged on, though, and treat her as family—because that's what she was to them. she always felt a little guilty about her absence of course. despite roier calling bobby a mama's boy, he was obviously more attached to his dad. but roier trusted jaiden, and soon enough his house became her home.

Bobby died, and it all kind of fell apart from there. jaiden was left to deal with her demons while roier was surrounded with his loved ones. when he told her that he was engaged, she told him that she was glad and wished him the best—not without a warning, and because roier trusted jaiden, he listened to her. he and cellbit got married, nothing went wrong (apart from somebody blowing up the venue, but there were no casualties which is pretty much a miracle in the history of minecraft weddings) and jaiden watched roier receive a second chance at happiness with cellbit and richas.

On the other hand, she was alone in her grief, which made her the perfect target for the federation. soon cucurucho became her only confidant and she defended him against the islanders. how can we blame her? she was nothing without bobby, and cucurucho was the only one who was there for her when she was at her lowest. she was just a victim of the circumstances.

things didn't seem so bad for a while, cellbit made sure to take her in whenever he could, because jaiden was family, and so she was allowed to take up space. the purgatory happened of course, and they were all kind of driven to insanity. most were fighting each other to save their children, but what about the parents who had lost their kids? they'd been forced into a bloodbath against their friends and for... what, exactly?

It isn't really a surprise that jaiden met her end there. what would she have done if she had survived the explosion? i like to think that her last thought was of the house she had built for bobby, the one she returned to so often after he died, because it was the only place where she felt like nothing had changed, as she explained to roier the day he met her there by chance.
