This is going to be a long one so sorry in advance.

My question for is in your opinion how do you feel about Fantasy Racism/Racism Allegories?

Back when I was in booktok some of the POC/Black creators I followed express their opinion regarding fantasy racism/racism allegories.

They explained how fantasy racism/allegories is a way for white authors to profit off of Black/POC struggles while other explained that fantasy racism and allegories tend to miss the mark off of real life racism.

I'll uses these two pieces of media as an example.

One example is the mutant racism/discrimination in Marvel comics. While it is suppose to be an allegory for Black and POC racism some of the criticism that I have heard is the fact that mutants are being hated because they HAVE powers NOT because of the way they look or how humans have seen mutants inferior. Being discriminated because a person with powers/abilities falls short when compared with real life racism where Black/POC people aren't being discriminated and targeted because they have powers.

Another example of this is Faunus Racism in RWBY. Faunus who look human but have animal feautures. Their reasoning for discimination is because Faunus look and act like animals some even have "vicious" animal features that humans saw as frightening. One of the main characters is a faunus however her teammates treat her make jokes that can be seen as microaggressions because she is a cat Faunus. The show even shows her feline attributes such as being afraid of dogs and loves eating fish. Many have expressed they don't like this racism because you can't have a POC coded race who is faced with racism that is suppose to be taken seriously and wants to be treated equally but then you reinforce the whole cute animal behaviors. Just like the mutant discrimination falls short on real life racism. (It also doesn't help the fact the faunus racism was solved in 5 volumes)

These pieces of media also take inspiration of the MLK vs Malcom X debates. Which imo completely saturate and whitewashes both ideologies. As these two shows protrays the MLK inspiration (Charles and Blake) be seen as good because they want harmony and peace among the two races while the radical and "violent" Malcom X inspiration (Magneto and Adam) is protrayed as bad.

(It's also doesn't help the fact that Adam from RWBY was revealed to be a child slave who was branded by one of the main protagonist family but was ultimately reduce to obsessed ex boyfriend).

I can't find my poll on it, I thought I had it saved. But yeah, pretty much. Getting into the nitty gritty of racism means acknowledging both how it is ubiquitous, on purpose, and mundane. Your average racist isn't a raging violent klansman worried about The Prophecy™ outright; they're someone that you'd probably think was "really nice" until you got into deeper discussion and realized where they stood politically and it was quietly just as cruel. And because many people don't quite understand that, they don't know how to write the actual experience of racism.

There's never "one big bad" or "some huge misunderstanding" that is everything wrong, it's many, many things and people contributing to a system- unconsciously and consciously. Well, that's not as entertaining or heroic in a book where you want your hero to take down the Bad Guys! Or that "No One is Wrong, We Can All Get Along!" Due to this, fantasy racism usually captures what looks like a reverse racism concept- what people THINK racism is.

I feel that the Vash v DCA poll is slowly falling into the same hole as the Nanami v DCA poll. It’s not as bad right now, but I have seen quite a few reblogs essentially shaming people for liking the DCA.

I just want to say that I don’t care if the DCA loses. Sure it might hurt to see my favorite character fall, but it hurts more to see people call the people in the DCA community homophobes and republicans because of a character they like.

Yes, Scott Cawthon did back Republican candidates, but people forget this poll has absolutely no bearing on Fnaf as a whole or what Scott did. This is a poll about favorite characters, not about a franchise or creator as a whole.

People can like a character and not support what the creator does. People can like a character separate from the source material.

All I am asking of poll-goers is to respect each other and to stop trying to shame other people for liking a character.

The DCA community is full of some of the kindest people and has encouraged people to explore their own identity in so many different ways. I love this community with all my heart and to see people try to say that because we like a character from Fnaf we are all homophobes is a disservice to the people who founded and keep this fandom alive.

To reiterate, I don’t care that much if the DCA loses. I’m just upset that people continue to shame a community and try to generalize us under a label that simply isn’t true of a large part of it.

Even though Vash vs DCA is now closed, it's like I've mentioned before that I only made this tournament just for fun and for others to simply vote for their favorite characters. In hindsight I know I probably should have done more to mediate the conflict that sparked up, but all the fights that broke out because of it just like, racked up my anxiety and made me so afraid that if I tried to say or do anything it would just make things worse and I apologize for that.

Again, this tournament was created purely just for fun and I didn't really want it to be a place for all these heated discussions and conflict to take place. I am hoping though, now that that we're on the Semifinals, that things will be smoother from here on out and I'm grateful to all the voters who have been respectful towards others regardless of who they voted for and have just been having fun with these polls!

Q. How did you feel when you got the role?

👒: I was mostly indifferent, as the work (the manga) itself was unknown to me back then. In retrospect, I think it was for the best. I mean, if you know it's a deeply beloved work, you'd feel greedy, won't you? That's why I passed the audition without feeling nervous. Looking back now, maybe it matched Luffy's freedom.

🌷: I remember vividly. Among the eleven rookies with more than 100 million bounty, Kidd's was the highest. I had a clear image of the voice that would express Kidd's powerful appearance, but I couldn't imagine myself playing the role of Kidd. So, I didn't know how to do the voice. I kept thinking about it while recording. I still have a hard time doing Kidd's voice, but it was even harder back then than it is now.

Q. Did you have any specific thoughts or feelings while playing in One Piece?

👒: In One Piece, there is the unshakable pillar called 'Eiichiro Oda' , but it's not enough to rely on him. I want people to think, "Wow, One Piece really is amazing" when - including myself, all the individual creators' imagination, music, scenarios, and everything else come together! We'd like to continue to create moments in anime that surpass the original manga.

🌷: Many One piece fans would say it's "fire" when expressing their opinions. Thinking about what makes them feel fired up, I can clearly see it in the scripts. The lines of a good scene are spread over several cuts. I feel that the timing; or rather, the process of speech delivery is given a high importance. So, in pursuit of an impact on the audience, when the scripts says "haah?" I myself try to stretch it with "HA~aah??" - to make everyone feel even more fired up.

[T/N: The Japanese word used was "hot", while "fire" expresses a different type of feeling, I think it works as a closer substitute.]

Q. Impression of the character you're currently playing?

👒: Someone who accepts his weakness, says "I can't" when he can't do something and then relies on his friends, and never wavers from the freedom of doing so.

🌷: He's surprisingly kind and considerate of his crew mates. He'd often say "Let's go!" and bring along some of them, but that's not because he's afraid. I interpret it as saying, "I'll protect y'all no matter what, so let's enjoy the thrill of going ahead together!"

Q. Thoughts on Mayumi Tanaka's Luffy?

🌷: Unwavering...isn't he? The story moves on, but the same old Luffy is always there. Regardless of the state you're in while watching anime, you can always relax and enjoy One piece. I think this is where Mayumi san's Luffy comes off as an undisputed champion. It's quite difficult to keep things the same for decades, so I have deep respect for it.

Q. Thoughts on Daisuke Namikawa's Kidd and Hiroshi Kamiya's Law?

👒: Some voice actors separate their personal lives from work, but those two are as transparent as I am! It doesn't have to do with their roles, but that makes it comfortable to work with them, so I enjoy it a lot.

🌷: Law looks cool, but he has his passionate sides; he has the calm aura, but he also becomes emotional. You need to incorporate a variety of elements to express those subtle ups and down in a Law-like manner, so I think it's an incredibly difficult role. That's why I think Kamiya kun puts a lot of thoughts and efforts in his performance.

That said, I can't help but feel a storm of jealousy regarding their rankings in the worldwide popularity poll (laughs). Law was in top 5, and Kid was 23rd. Even though they don't have the same screentime frequency, they were introduced at the same time, yet the difference was so big... Like, I understand Law's charm, but it was frustrating!

Q. Do you think it's possible to win against Kaidou?

👒: Of course, it's possible. But the absolute winner has to be Tesshô Genda (Kaido's voice actor). I don't think I can compete with that deep voice.. Well, I'd win though (laughs)

🌷: I want to believe that Kidd wouldn't lose his heart over his defeats. He doesn't intend to be beaten by anyone.

(T/N: Fun fact, Mayumi Tanaka doesn't read the manga. She only learns the manga's events when she reads her script. Sanji's actor Hiroaki Hirata does the same, and he admitted that he doesn't know much of the parts of story where sanji is absent.)

While answering after answering an email from an Indie horror game creator, you stumbled upon a message in your inbox that you were not expecting. I’ll say it with my whole chest: that entire blog is a joke and an excuse for insecure, mean spirited people to harp on others. I blocked the entire page basically right at the beginning when I started seeing it pop up in my feed, but from what I gathered when my attention was dragged there by the anons in my own inbox, it’s full of people who:

A. Hate the game and all the characters

B. Are jealous of other creators and their success

C. Are too lazy to write their own stories yet have the gall to criticize other writers’ work

The fucking audacity to make a blog like that and defend the blatant bullying with “well we’re allowed to dislike things and have our own opinions” is so unbelievably lazy it’s not even funny. Nevermind the fact that there’s nothing anonymous about half the asks there— I could clearly tell who certain asks were referring to. Maybe the whole thing started with a few harmless polls (which is what I saw at the start) but it’s transformed into something so nasty that to defend it just leaves a sour taste in my mouth. The other day I made a post about Thai sapphic industry and I totally forgot to mentioned something in that post that I want to add.

So bare with me for a little bit:

This is something that has really affected my enjoyment of fandoms in general, because even if is not AT ALL a fault of fandoms; the token that comes from these really affects how much I can get invest in the stories and fandoms of new sapphic shows.

You see, since creators, producers, etc; has decided to not care enough of TV shows/movies or any project with w/w storylines the pressure of the media to survive(not even to become a popular thing; is just not get cancelled) in their fandoms.

That makes a very big heavy weight in the fandoms and the people in the community around it.

Because the survival of a show depends of how much interest people has on it; and not if the show is good and the creators of these shows are really invested in creating them.

So supporting these projects becomes a task and something that is basically a duty.

We lost things of enjoying things because we want to, or even so; things as simple like personal interests or taste.

Is to the point to support what the community wants in these fandoms sometimes we even had to put these shows in the back, without even watching it because we want to give the count of viewership.

Listen to me; these is not normal neither is something that we should be wanting.

Is not ok that if we don't want to watch something because we don't want to there's a possibility that people want to watch it is gonna lose it.

For better examples, and sorry to mention big very good shows that deserved better: Nobody had to watch first kill, willow, or warrior nun if they don't want to.

My constant critique about the lack of support to Thai shows in general in tumblr doesn't comes from this sentiment; it comes more from my understanding of how difficult is for Usamerican to enjoy something that is not made by them so is a way to tell them that there's something good that is coming from Thailand.

Because, right now; I don't have any of this feeling with any of those thai shows.

I haven't watch blank the series; and the show has being very successful to the point to get a second season(Also Faye and Yoko are gonna get a new show soon).

A few days ago there was a poll about Gap and the poll showed that the majority of the people here doesn't even now what it is. But the show became huge popular, giving the pair a new show and a movie and basically kicking the industry,

The show from Engfa and Charlotte didn't do as good as others, but still they keep going and they had a new show and very possible new projects.

I am pretty sure Milklove is gonna have a new show soon.

I am almost sure I was the only person that watched lucky my love but the pair also got a new show after that.

And the thing is, there's not only pre existence shows and pairs but there's more and more stories and shows coming; to the point that nobody knows when they are coming.

That feeling of dread of not supporting something and the possibility of losing them is not there anymore.

Sorry if this is long, but I just want to get this off my chest in a space where people realise that despite the love you can have for this world and its characters, there’s things you can also be unhappy with and just need to vent about.

I’ve been a fan of Erik’s stuff for years, and at first it was lovely dovey boyfriend roleplay with a little plot, and then grew into something more. Something deeper with lore and plot and complexities. Now it feels like it’s reverted back to simple boyfriend roleplay. And if that’s all Erik has the motivation for right now, fair enough. But I just feel like the videos are so half-hearted these days. Like this channel is an afterthought for him.

Now I understand that he’s probably got a lot going on in his life, as he’s hinted at before, but I would rather get less videos where he gets to spend more time on creating the complex stories we love rather than churning out half-hearted content that I’m losing interest in.

Erik is the first YouTube creator whose patreon I signed up for to support him, as I genuinely liked everything he was doing, but this past year or so it feels like things are lacking. The characters feel 2D. It’s all fluff and barely any angst or serious conversations/action/drama. The listener characters feel like empty shells with no goals of their own (with the exception of a few), there’s not much happening in a lot of the popular characters’ lives, yet people keep voting for them (David, Milo, Asher, Gavin, Guy etc) in polls and we get the same videos over and over instead of giving attention to the more complex (and arguably more interesting at this point in time) characters like Anton, James, Aaron, Elliot, Geordi, Morgan, Hush, etc.

Everything just feels so fluffy and samey - and I could get that from any other boyfriend role play channel. I miss the interwoven plot lines and drama. Where couples had their conflicts and worked through things together. Now every relationship feels too perfect.

I’m sticking around because I hope that when Erik has more time and things calm down for him that the videos will improve. To me, they’re not what they used to be, and I miss Erik’s videos from the early days of the channel. Every so often a video will drop and it’ll instantly pull me back in because it was so well written and kept me engaged with the story and characters, but those videos are few and far between these days 😔

It is not at all disrespectful to ask politely, which you have! I am not going to send a message in his chat because it is an absolute hellhole, but people I know have left thoughtful comments on his youtube, which I think is 20x more useful. He sees those in his own time and can think about it. Chat is running nonstop, super fast, you get instant reaction in the chat from all kinds of sorts - seriously i love jimmy and i have nothing against younger people, but holy hell that chat is mostly intolerable to read. Most streams I don't even have it visible. Jimmy has very little time to think in response to chat messages, it can't be nuanced, and the first thing he says is now public record.

Overall, I don't think Jimmy will react to fanfic. If he does (and I've been wrong predicting Jimmy before!), it's going to be something like Wholesome Seablings Adventures. I can not imagine Jimmy reading ship fic - unless I guess it's incredibly pg canon-ship? There's all kinds of "pg youtubers", and Jimmy's more on the Katherine side of thing, appealing to families and genuinely little kids. If you look at the saucy things he lets in, you generally need some real non-pg context for it to feel non-pg. (there's always exceptions)

When people demand he address shipping he tries to say as little as possible. He's been shown nsfw fanart while he was streaming. He knows what is going on and he's not going to touch that. He's thoughtful when it counts, and since these aren't stream reacts, he has time to think hard about what he's actually going to use. So if he did do fanfic, there would be plenty of never seen footage of Jimmy of going "holy moly!" and moving on. When it matters, he is generally thoughtful and respectful.

Like the time he realized he was confused about asexuality (he didn't know about aromanticism) and slowed down to be really careful he didn't say anything accidentally hurtful. (for context shelby is ace but dates and he knows that. look at his poor little face trying to understand.)

Maybe he'll mess up this time, I sure hope not, but I'm not personally freaking out.

Also, exactly one time he opened tumblr on stream, it was the sexyman poll, and he read my reply to the post (i'm the one who called him a wet paper bag of a man, my claim to fame.) I showed up to apologize, he was a sweetheart, and he said this about tumblr, that he knows we want our own private space. He's respectful at heart.

I am not on tiktok, but until your ask, I'll admit it never occurred to me he might contact the creators before reacting. Thinking on it, I guess I think of TikTok like youtube, where it is loudly tossed out at the whole world for attention, but I'm not on TikTok.

And why do I think ao3 is different? Well, I have no coherent answer besides "vibes" and "more contained audience" and "everyone knows everyone is on youtube and tiktok".

Mei fights her seeing as macaque fighting monkey king , which leads to MK fighting her future darling it was only when reader makes shadow clones to trap MK , that’s when Mei gets involved. 

It would have been fine if the reader didn’t have such a flirty attitude, who likes to praise Mei even when Mei sword was near her throat. 

Before Mei could do anything , reader disappeared into the shadow realm 

For Red son , I can see him teaming up with her since MK is there enemy , with his brain and her brawn , MK and his friends will be finished in no time . (Reader teamed up with his , for sine reason her mentor disappeared and she thinking rid of MK and his friends will make him praise her ) 

He did not expect reader to be so smooth and honestly praises his inventions even saying he’s amazing . 

There were so close yet MK still won , Red son thought she was gonna leave him only for her to teleport him and her to her hideout to heal his wounds before sending him back home ,not before giving him a flirty remark . 

After that an obsession grow for Red son 

While Mei she gains a guilty crush that got worse when reader decide to keep her company since MK been busy Lately, She knows she should hate it but she been feeling lonely and when reader not being flirty she can be nice even winning Mei a dragon plushie at a fair . 

What made her snap was realising Red son fallen for her darling , but seeing how there got along greatly if there difference aside , there decided to team up to make reader theirs .

(I am not the previous anon) No wonder so many of the winning polls have been so incredibly baffling! 30 votes on a pnf polls? That RARELY happens! Writers with hundreds of kudos losing to small creators? You didn't tag the polls properly? Meaning that instead of receiving feedback from the fandom at large, you have only been circulating these polls without your circles?! I do not wish to assume you did this on purpose or with bad intentions, but this competition is rigged!

I'm sorry you feel this way. As far as tagging goes, I have been tagging the fandom appropriately for the duration of this. If people aren't seeing the tag, there's not much I can do to force that beyond blazing it, and I won't be putting real money into a competition that's supposed to just be for fun.

The fact of the matter is, people besides those in them are not reblogging the polls. Tumblr is a reblog heavy site - if you don't reblog something, people will not see it. It's only circulating small groups because those are the only ones sharing it, and in terms of people who know individual creators and not just the source from their childhood, it's already a small circle.

As far as voting…this whole thing is supposed to be an appreciation of ALL PnF content creators, not just the big ones. If a "smaller" creator is winning, we should be congratulating them rather than being upset. It means people took time to look at their submission pieces and decided that they really liked them. If you're not taking the time to look at all the submissions, and instead are voting based on popularity, then that's up to you. But not everyone is going to do that. And frankly it's hurtful and rude to smaller creators to tell them that they shouldn't be winning because they aren't popular. Imagine how you'd feel if that was you.

When it comes down to it, I'm just posting what was submitted to me. If someone wasn't submitted that should have been - I left the submissions open for almost a month in the tags the other person suggested, during which I pointed out to other people that they could submit whoever they wanted. There was plenty of time to get them in. And if people aren't getting the numbers on polls you expected, it's because people are not sharing them.

And finally, as mentioned before: if they feel this is unfair, anyone who's in the tournament are more than welcome to pull themselves out, as I've mentioned in every poll. At the end of the day, this was a fun and silly thing to do within the fandom to work up hype for each other. I'm sorry people are only focusing on it as a popularity contest.

Hello, my dear followers!

I'm sorry for not posting new content these days.

The fact is that several factors piled up and I feel so completely unmotivated to continue posting.

I highly appreciate the ones who keep interacting with me (there are a few of you but trust me, I know and I love you for your activity here).

On the other hand, my poll showed that majority of my followers don't ever reblog content or that people feel uncomfortable rebloging 18+ content. Not gonna lie to you, it hurts when someone likes to read your content but feel ashamed for it.

I can understand this for sure. I can also understand that in the current world, I'm not gonna be motivated through tips either. Perfectly understandable.

However, I feel genuinely discouraged by the fact majority of my followers don't even leave a comment of feedback on my readings. There are many readings I have done for idols or celebs I personally don't follow and I have specifically asked for any type of feedback to know whether I have been anywhere near accurate and there was no response.

I understand that you guys feel embarrassed rebloging my content. It's fine. I mean, you will hopefully mature in time so you don't feel ashamed for what you like but it might take years for you to get there.

I understand nobody has the funds to support content creators through tips.

But what harm would it be if you actually gave feedback? Anonymous one can't be traced back to you. What is your excuse here? Because I have mentioned it million times that feedback means everything to any content creator. By not providing one, you show you don't care for other people's feelings and their hard work and efforts.

Don't get me wrong! I don't mind if your feedback comes a year after I have posted something. The time isn't important to me and I'm so very grateful to everyone who actually gives feedback and interacts with me.

I have over 1000 followers and even if half of them were bots, it's still sad I usually get feedback and interactions from 10-15 people here.

You need to understand one thing - Tarot is my hobby. I do it for my own pleasure, yes. But that doesn't apply to posting on Tumblr. I can continue doing tarot readings but without any increase in support through feedback, I might simply stop posting on Tumblr. It takes my time and energy. And the reciprocity here is not adequate as of now.

PLEASE, STOP HIDING IN THE SHADOWS. 3-WORD COMMENT WILL DO MIRACLES FOR ME.

Yes, this is my blog and I carry the 99% of responsibility for it but there's that 1% that falls onto you, guys. It's feedback. Give feedback. Show you actually appreciate what I do. And if you don't like my content, then it's also fine. Let me know. I'll just stop spamming your feed if that's what's demanded from me. 😊

This doesn't apply only to me. If you are merely a content consumer (you don't create your own content), have the basic human decency and show the content creators you care and you appreciate their hard work. Can you imagine what would happen if all of the content creators just went on a strike? Can you imagine being left with your own thoughts instead of keeping your brains distracted with PACs, fanfics and other types of entertainment?
