Spectacular - Part 3

hello duckies! here is part 3 for y’all on this fine day/night. i did cut a bit of the story out because it simply didn’t flow the way i wanted it to, but everything should still make sense. i also believe this is the longest part of the story in terms of words (i am long-winded) anywho, let’s get going!

From then on, Benedict and Anastasia spent nearly every single day together, even after the season ended and winter began to take its hold. If Benedict was not calling on Anastasia, she was spending her afternoon in the Bridgertons’ drawing room under the guise of spending time with Eloise.

The truth was, she rather enjoyed spending time with Benedict instead. Every moment they spent together, she fell deeper and deeper in love with him. It wasn’t until one particular evening she realized just how far she had fallen.

Anastasia pulled her cloak tightly over her shoulders. Her body rattled with nervousness and excitement for her evening’s plans.

At precisely 9:15, a rock hit her bedroom window, signaling the arrival of her friend.

Anastasia took a deep breath and began her journey through the house, attempting to walk lightly so as to not alert her father and brothers of her late departure. She was nearly out the door to the backyard when she was startled by a voice.

“Miss Mackenzie?”

Freezing, Anastasia turned and found her own lady’s maid standing in front of her.

“Caroline,” she breathed in relief. “What are you doing up so late?”

“I was getting a glass of water, miss,” Caroline answered. “But I could ask you the same thing if it were my place.”

Anastasia sighed. She had met Caroline when she was merely thirteen, the same year she met the Bridgertons.

“I was going for a stroll in the garden,” she lied.

“At this hour? Are you well?” Caroline asked worriedly.

“Yes,” Anastasia breathed. “I am in need of some fresh air.”

“If you prefer, I shall accompany you? It is no trouble, really-”

“No, that will not be necessary,” she objected. “Thank you, Caroline. You may resume.”

“Of course, Miss,” Caroline said, bowing slightly.

Anastasia turned on her heel to leave, only to be stopped once more.

“Miss Mackenzie? Send Mr. Bridgerton my regards.”

Whipping around with wide eyes, Anastasia began to stutter out an excuse.

“I will not tell,” Caroline interrupted. “I shall never speak of this night or any other to another soul for as long as I shall live.”

The young lady sighed in relief when she saw her maid’s teasing smile.

“Off with you now, Miss,” Caroline dismissed with a loving wave.

With that, Anastasia pulled her hood over her head and slipped into the garden, where her escort for the night awaited.

“What took you so long? I thought we had been caught,” Benedict said.

“We have,” Anastasia scoffed, sliding her hand around his arm. “Caroline caught me leaving, but she swore to never speak of it.”

“If you trust her, I trust her,” he smiled, gently resting his free hand on hers.

She flushed slightly and looked at the world around them. “Where are we going, anyway?”

“We are going to visit a friend of mine, Henry Granville,” he replied.

“The artist?”

Benedict nodded. “I would like to show you the finer things in life. These are the privileges I enjoy as the second son.”

Soon, they arrived at a large house with candles lit in every window. Once they stepped inside, it was revealed that there were lots of people littering the hallways and rooms.

“Are you ready?” Benedict asked, his lips so close they caused a shiver to run through her.

She held onto his arm tighter and nodded, swallowing her anxiety.

As he led her through a house familiar to him, she witnessed all sorts of people doing all sorts of things. Some were engaging in conversation and drinking wine, others were participating in more lascivious activities. As they rounded a corner, they entered a room with two lovely models in the middle of a ring of artists, each sketching from their own point of view.

“You said you were curious as to where I had all my practice,” Benedict said, pulling her from her trance. “Here we are.”

“Mr. Bridgerton,” a man beamed as he approached the two. “How are you, my friend?”

“I am quite well. Yourself?” Benedict replied.

“I cannot complain,” the man teased. “And who is this?”

Anastasia swallowed as his eyes fell upon her.

“This is Anastasia,” Benedict grinned. “Ana, this is Sir Henry Granville.”

“It is a pleasure to meet you, Mr. Granville,” she said, bowing gracefully.

Henry gently took the hand that was not clinging to Benedict’s sleeve and kissed it. “The pleasure is all mine, Miss Mackenzie.”

Her face paled at the use of her surname.

“Please, enjoy our festivities,” Henry said, gesturing to a few empty stools with sketch pads in front of them.

He disappeared without another word, tending to other guests elsewhere.

“I do quite enjoy his company,” Benedict commented as he led her to the easels.

“He is quite lovely,” she agreed. “Ben, I am glad you have decided to share this part of your life with me, but if anyone were to find out where I am tonight…”

Benedict looked toward her and found a nervous frown taking over her features. He stopped walking and placed a gentle hand on either side of her face, cradling it like the most precious gem in the world.

“Not to worry, tulip,” he comforted. “Henry is very good at keeping this a secret. There is not a person here who would care enough to sully our reputations, nor their own.”

A small smile turned up the corners of her mouth as she leaned into his touch.

“If you trust him, I trust him,” she repeated a version of his words from earlier in their night.

He pressed a gentle kiss on her forehead and immediately recoiled.

“That was improper,” he said. “Please accept my sincerest apologies.”

“Everything we are doing tonight is improper,” she smiled. “I should think an innocent kiss the least of our worries.”

He flashed her a fond, lopsided grin and grabbed her hand, leading her to a pair of easels.

“I am not much of an artist. I prefer music,” she said. “Might I simply watch you work?”

“If you must,” he chuckled, flushing slightly.

For hours, Anastasia watched Benedict sketch with intent focus. She took note of every feature of his face; every line, every mark, every beautiful expression committed to her memory.

“You do have a bit of a problem with staring, tulip.”

Anastasia blushed as Benedict glanced sideways at her, stifling a smirk.

“I do believe I was staring at your artwork,” she lied.

“I do believe you were not,” he mocked.

As she tried to stutter out a response for the second time that evening, he chuckled.

“It is quite alright,” he hummed. “I am almost done and then we may leave.”

“I do not wish to leave so soon,” she objected. “I quite like it here. It is a very relaxing atmosphere. Very different from the ton.”

“I am glad you are enjoying yourself,” he laughed. “Perhaps Mr. Granville will allow us to stay for a while when I finish.”

Fortunately, Henry had absolutely no problem with the duo sitting about.

“Stay all night if you like,” he laughed before turning to Anastasia. “Any friend of Mr. Bridgerton is a friend of mine.”

She bowed her head respectfully with a sweet smile.

As Henry left them, Benedict slid his hand around Anastasia’s and led her to a sofa near a window.

It was dark outside when their conversation began. They talked of their childhoods, their aspirations, their insecurities. There was never an awkward silence like they had felt so many times with other people. Occasionally, a lull occurred in which they would stare at each other in silent revelry.

“Alright,” Benedict said after one of those moments as he leaned forward slightly and placed his hand on one of hers. “I must ask, however improper it may be: when am I allowed to begin courting you?”

“What is the date?” she asked.

“I believe it is the third of April,” he answered.

She hummed. “My late husband passed on the tenth, so you may begin courting me on the eleventh.”

“And when shall I propose marriage?”

“When you feel the time is right,” she replied, heart racing.

“I want to be sure you feel the same as I do,” he said firmly. “I refuse to trap you in another loveless marriage.”

She stared at him. “My marriage to George was not loveless.”

“Surely you cannot convince me you were in love with a man technically old enough to be your father.”

“I was not in love with him, that much is true,” she agreed. “However, that does not mean that I did not love him. He catered to my every want and need. He was gentle, and caring, and more than I could have asked for in an arrangement such as ours. We were not in love, that is for sure. But we did have an incredible fondness for one another, and should I have the option to bring him back and do it all again, I would in a heartbeat.”

Another silence fell over them as he stared at the woman in front of him. He was in awe at how mature she had become since they had met not five years ago. Her elegance and poise was far beyond that of any other girl her age, yet she was still as sharp and witty as she had been in the beginning of her friendship with his dear younger sister.

“I apologize,” he said quietly. “I knew nothing of your marriage, and it was wrong of me to assume anything, let alone vocalize it.”

“It is alright, Ben,” she affirmed, squeezing the hand that still held her own. “I am sure you did not mean any ill will.”

She moved closer to him so that she may lower her voice as if she was telling him her deepest secret.

“There shall be no doubts about my feelings toward you, Benedict,” she said, her expression very serious. “When you feel the time is right, you may propose to me. I will not turn you down.”

“If it were not improper, I would kiss you,” he whispered, mesmerized.

“If it were not improper, I would give you my permission,” she whispered back.

He swallowed. “I suppose no one shall see us if my lips happened upon yours.”

“I agree.”

While Benedict could never have been considered innocent, he was not a rake, and he did not wish to compromise anyone’s reputation, certainly not that of his beloved Anastasia. But under the relaxed atmosphere of the studio and the gentle warmth of firelight, he found himself doing something he would only dream of: he was leaning forward.

And to his surprise, Anastasia was doing the same.

The pair’s lips met in a sweet, tender union of passion and love. They poured their feelings to one another in complete silence, moving in sync. There was no rushing, no pressure, no wanting to move any further than they had already gone.

Yet, they pulled away breathless.

“I shall not tell my brothers if you do not tell yours,” Anastasia whispered, giggling slightly.

“I shall keep that a secret for the rest of my days,” Benedict promised. “I should like to propose to you right now if I knew you would accept.”

“Perhaps my family and yours will think it odd that you would propose without a proper courting,” she quipped.

“Perhaps they will,” he hummed, looking upon her fondly.

She glanced out the window to see the sky beginning to pale in color and, with a short sigh, reluctantly rose from the sofa.

“Come,” she said, offering her hand. “Walk me home before daylight comes and my brothers wake to find me gone.”

“They would never know where to find you,” he replied, rising as well.

“Yes, but you shall be the first place they look, and I do wish to keep you alive.”

there we go! very cute, very roughly edited, as always. there will be one more part and then the little epilogue, which is about 500 or so words. i have written a bit with eloise heavily involved, but that’s only like 600 words. but that will probably end up being a little bonus part. let me know what you think!

Part 1: I'm the 5th year med student with the critical supervisor. Thank you so much for your supportive reply, I honestly was half-expecting to be told to suck it up/toughen up. So your kind words meant a lot to me. If I fail 1 rotation, I fail my 5th year - so God forbid that I fail. You can appeal if you have mit circs, but not sure whether I have them. I only have 2 wks left of this 7-wk placement, wondering whether it's worth mentioning to uni, but considering it.

Part 2: It’s good to talk/other students might be helped. Wondering if I’m being oversensitive as other staff members/colleagues seem to just take this consultant on the chin, though. Re counselling service, not sure whether they can help in ways other than offering sessions, which I’m not sure I need. I have a hx of dep/anx/ocd, but I was doing well enough to finish weaning off meds 2 weeks ago and had my last cbt session last week

Hello, it’s really good to hear from you again. I’m glad it helped. I don’t believe in telling people to ‘toughen up’ or put up with inappropriate behaviour. I actually think this is a huge problem in medicine; many of us are so used to lack of support, belittling, bullying, shouting or even outright abuse from colleagues or patients and their relatives, to the point where it just becomes something we all expect to put up with. We DO get better at dealing with crap like this, but that’s not because we SHOULD. It’s simply because we keep getting exposed to it. I definitely am a lot less upset by patients shouting at me now than I was as a student, but that doesn’t make someone doing that acceptable. You’re not being over-sensitive, I do wonder if your colleagues are perhaps more inured to such behaviour. Or perhaps they too are fearful and just want to keep their heads down and survive. Perhaps they find it as unpleasant as you, only perhaps they too try to keep it on the inside. We don’t know how much our peers are suffering if they choose not to open up to us. Your real endame here involves two separate objectives: 1) pass the year, which means passing the placement.2) survive this placement and year with your mental health intact, because you do NOT want to go back to where you were, or worse. Both are equally important. It’s really great that you’ve recovered mentally enough to wean down your meds and finish CBT, it’s amaing progress! And that’s definitely a good sign for your general resilience and future. I’m glad to hear your mental health is generally going in the right direction. I’m not a fortune teller, and I wish you many, many years of mental stability and inner strength. But I have to suggest that when you’re newly recovering, it’s a particularly important time to take care. Just like a newly broken bone fresh out of the cast is still not quite like new, so our minds and our souls are also tender when we’re recovering mentally. you’re doing so well, but take especial care of your mental health, and keep a close eye for any signs you might be relapsing or might need more support. Because we’re still a little vulnerable whilst we’re still recovering.You know yourself, but perhaps it wouldn’t nurt to get some extra counselling or support though the weeks you’re stuck with this supervisor. It certainly wouldn’t hurt. In terms of passing, remember that once they’ve signed you off (or not) there’s little you can do about the outcome, except perhaps appeal. In terms of appealing, it helps if your university know what’s been going on beforehand. A heads-up can make all the difference. Universities care about students with mental or physical health problems, if they know that they actually have one. The biggest mistake people often make is not being honest with their university about what they are struggling with. I know time is short, but it’s still probably worth discussing it with your university. What’s the worst that happens if you tell unviersity about your mental health, or that the supervisor’s bullying is affecting you, and then you get failed? They might do nothing about it. Which is exactly where you’d be if you never informed your university at all. We all fear people treating us harshly because we have a health problem, but when universities don’t even know you have a problem, and you mess up, they treat you most harshly. At the very least, talking to them about it might put you in line for mitigating circumstances, should the worst come to the worst.But they are unlikely to ignore what you’re telling them, because it’s in their interest to choose carefully where they send students every year, and universities move students if it doesn’t work out. I’ve seen it. More importantly, they are under legal obligation not to discriminate in terms of disability, and it would get them in trouble if they are ignoring the effect this has on your mental health. I suspect that your university would be more interested than you realise. Plus, think about the students that may benefit from this supervisor being monitored or having their students taken away; you might help someone next time around whose mental health is really fragile. It shouldn’t be the main reason you consider something, but most of us would like the horrible experiences we suffer to end with us. I get that talkng to universities about things like this can be scary and intimidating and deeply unpleasant; I’ve accompanied people to advocate on their behalf or lend support when they’ve been to such discussions. It is not nice, but it’s sometimes a necessary evil, to stick up for yourself and to ensure that you are getting the appropriate treatment you deserve. Apart from that, you can just try to do your best and get by. I doubt they will fail you, but I think you should consider what you can do to fight your corner, in case they do. I’m a huge fan of contingency plans and planning in advance, because it’s stressful to be put into a situation at short notice having not thought of what your options are. This is regardless of whether you deserve to be failed, or how unlikely it is. Because we plan for serious things even if they are unlikely.And if they happen to fail you, it’d work in your favour if you’d been honest with the university about what was going on, and how they’ve been treating students. That will definitely paint a picture of the struggles you’ve been facing. Even if they won’t remive you from the placement, it might make them realise you have mitigating circumstances, between the tutor and your mental health. Good luck, and keep me updated. I hope you pass the rotation smoothly and continue on your way to much nicer rotations.

Electric Forest Wk. 2 2017

Electric Forest has come and gone again, and it couldn't have been better! This year Electric Forest did something new and split the festival into 2 weekends. Not many festivals could do this and has both weekends be successful, but Electric forest totally pulled it off. We had the pleasure of attending the second weekend and it was fantastic! Usually the line to get into the campgrounds at Forest can be long, like hours of waiting to get your car checked long, but this year we pulled up and had to wait maybe 15-20 minutes to get our car checked and we were on our way. Since they split the festival in to 2 weekends, they only had a portion of the campgrounds open, which was fine since there weren't as many people. Our only complaint about the camping is that they had us packed in super tight. We literally had the width and length of our car for our camping space. I think they could have given us each at least a few more inches of space each and it would have been a little more comfortable. This is really the only complaint that we had about the whole weekend so I call that a win.

After we got set up we decided to head into the festival. I have to admit-knowing that we were there second weekend-I totally expected the festival grounds to still be somewhat wrecked from the first weekend. I am happy to say I was completely wrong! Aside from the mud puddles that the rain had left behind(which is obviously nothing anyone can do about-its just mother nature), the cleaning crew did a phenomenal job at making sure everything was in tip top shape for second weekenders, just like it was for the people from the first weekend. It felt refreshing to walk back into the forest.

This year we decided to focus more on the environment around us, the art, the people, the atmosphere and the music as a whole, instead of focusing mostly one acts individually. Yes the music and the artist, individually, are important, but Forest is so much more than that. It's an atmosphere of family and love. I lost track of how many times a day we would walk by a group of people and we would hear “happy Forest!” And we would say it in return. It may seem silly to some, but when you are there, this is how you check on people, this is how you show people you care and that you are there for them even if you don't know them. It’s our community.

There are so many aspects of Forest but I think one of my favorite things is seeing how much the Forest Family gives back, not just to the local community of Rothbury, but to multiple charities. Every year they hold a canned food drive to help supply the local food bank for families in need. Forest family is abundant in giving back-that tent is always overflowing. Electric Family had a tent where they sell bracelets that the artist have designed with them, the designated artist picks a charity and proceeds from each bracelet sold goes back to whichever charity the artist has chosen. My family has seriously probably donated to 50 charities this way because its a things for our family to collect these bracelets. There is To Write Love On Her Arms, a non-profit organization that helps those are suffering from depression, addiction, selfinjury and suicide. This organization is so important because they are helping to address mental health issues that affect many of us and our loved ones. And last but certainly not least-Electric Forest gives back to all the local music programs in the schools in the surrounding areas of Rothbury. Because of the Forest Family these kids are able to have music in their lives every day because we gave back.

Electric Forest is known for the amazing artwork, lights and sculptures they have every year. This year it felt like they added a lot more art pieces and land space features and it was incredible. There were several peace gardens, flower gardens, blessing sanctuaries and meditation gardens through out the forest. There was a whole section dedicated to having artist set up and creating beautiful things right in front of your eyes. It was like watching magic before your very eyes. They had some amazingly beautiful sculptures through out the forest and in each stage area. These artist are truly gifted. Forest has this awesome thing where they have artist make fairy houses around the base of random trees through out the entire festival grounds and it sends everyone on a wild goose chase to find these houses while your at the festival(we looked all 4 days and only found 8 out of 24-we are determined to find them all next year!).

The most important piece of artwork this year was the beautiful tribute piece made in honor of Wally Wojack. Wally Wojack is the whole reason that Electric Forest exists. In 1952 Wally purchased the land that now holds Electric Forest every year(the Double JJ Ranch). After a devastating harvest in 1955 Wally repopulated the land with 6’ tall white pine trees that are now known as Sherwood Forest. For 65 year Wally took care of the land and attended every Electric Forest. Unfortunately this past April Wally passed away. Thank you Wally-we are forever grateful for everything you did for the Forest family.

When I say that Forest is like a family, I don't use that term lightly. I mean it in the most sincere and loving way possible. This year at Forest they had an area inside the forest that was used for what they call Her Forest. It was place for anyone who identifies as female to come and share, listen and participate in female only workshops and panels. It was a safe place for womankind to come and bond and lift each other up in a time where its hard to find that on the “outside.” Everyone walks around giving free hugs and complimenting each other on their festival wear of the day. Electric Forest has always been blessed to have the support of the amazing police department in Rothbury and these guys are truly amazing! They were always smiling and laughing, enjoying themselves and the atmosphere, even though they were working. A lot of the officers had arm fulls of candy and were often seen exchanging candy with festival goers. Along with Forest family being Forest family…..there were actually a lot of actual families this year. In years past we would see the occasional younger kid there with their mom and dad, but this year there were lots of families with kids of all ages(some families were even grandparents with adult kids with grandkids there). It was so awesome to see that the love of the forest is starting to be shared and passed on to the next generation of festival goers.

Music is the tie that binds is all together. The music inspires all the art and creativity, it brings us all together to become the family that we love. We got to see some amazing artist do some incredible things. Break Science is a great collaboration between Adam Deitch and Borahm Lee that is pretty magical to see live. Shiba San is always amazing. Big Gigantic left all that they had on the stage plus some…they were amazing! Zeke Beats went back to back with EPROM and it was epic! Sub Focus had everyone moving at the Tripolee stage. 12th Planet is just a beast! Not only did he play his spot on Friday night and killed it, he covered a back to back spots for 2 artist that were unable to make it on Saturday too. Poor guy lost his voice by the time it was all said and done but he in no way let that slow him down. We stumble upon the Grand Antique stage by accident and it was such a happy accident because we got to see Vokab Kompany and they were utterly amazing. A-Trak played at the Forest stage to round out his curated Turntablist stage and it was unbelievable. A-Trak played in a way I had never seen him play before-definitely the best set We have ever seen him do. Alison Wonderland never disappoints. Flume brought the feels for everyone. Dillion Francis closed out the festival on Friday night and it couldn't have been more perfect. Autograf brought their fun loving selves and kept the crowd dancing. We chilled for a little bit and sat back to listen to the almighty String Cheese Incident(you can't go to Forest and not see them!). Lido was the highlight of the entire festival for me(and I'm pretty sure a lot of others are with me on this). He was just simply amazing. I wish I had better words to describe it but it was just a flawless set. Illenium closed out Saturday night and he blew everyone away. Sunday we got to experience Tom Misch, lets just say if you haven't ever experienced him, you should(like now), you will not be disappointed. Minnesota kept the people dancing like he always does. Rezz was unbelievably good. Forest knew what they were doing when they stacked 3 heavy hitters on the last night of the festival. R.L Grimes set was crazy good! Bassnectar played the most badass set-favorite nectar set ever! And Closing out the festival they had the ever loving and amazing Claude Von Stroke who never disappoints his crowd. It was a great way to close the festival out.

If you have never been to Forest I really urge you to try and make it there one day. It is worth the trip and worth every penny you spend. It will be a life changing experience.

About 2 weeks ago I was involved in a car Accident which was not my fault. The driver made a left turn and hit us while we were going through the intersection. Both airbags on our vehicle were deployed and there was damage to our driver side tire area. Our vehicle is a 2003 Dodge Neon and was in great condition before this. Two years ago a girl rode her bike into my car as I pulled into my driveway. There was no damage to my car but she fell as a result of it and called her mother who asked for my insurance information. I am 20 years old. I live in Florida which is by far the WORST states to have auto insurance. I've only been in 2 accidents, both not my fault. One was a small fender bender (which my friend decided to get a PIP claim even though he didnt get hurt so he could snag some money from the government). A review of Electric Forest Wk. 2

If you didn’t see, Electric Forest recently announced the return of their 2 weekends long festival next June/July. You can check that out right here If you’re still unsure if that is a destination festival for you then maybe this review will help.

Electric Forest has come and gone again, and it couldn’t have been better! This year Electric Forest did something new and split the festival into 2 weekends. Not many festivals could do this and has both weekends be successful, but Electric forest totally pulled it off. We had the pleasure of attending the second weekend and it was fantastic! Usually the line to get into the campgrounds at Forest can be long, like hours of waiting to get your car checked long, but this year we pulled up and had to wait maybe 15-20 minutes to get our car checked and we were on our way. Since they split the festival in to 2 weekends, they only had a portion of the campgrounds open, which was fine since there weren’t as many people. Our only complaint about the camping is that they had us packed in super tight. We literally had the width and length of our car for our camping space. I think they could have given us each at least a few more inches of space each and it would have been a little more comfortable. This is really the only complaint that we had about the whole weekend so I call that a win.

This year we decided to focus more on the environment around us, the art, the people, the atmosphere and the music as a whole, instead of focusing mostly one acts individually. Yes the music and the artist, individually, are important, but Forest is so much more than that. It’s an atmosphere of family and love. I lost track of how many times a day we would walk by a group of people and we would hear “happy Forest!” And we would say it in return. It may seem silly to some, but when you are there, this is how you check on people, this is how you show people you care and that you are there for them even if you don’t know them. It’s our community.

When I say that Forest is like a family, I don’t use that term lightly. I mean it in the most sincere and loving way possible. This year at Forest they had an area inside the forest that was used for what they call Her Forest. It was place for anyone who identifies as female to come and share, listen and participate in female only workshops and panels. It was a safe place for womankind to come and bond and lift each other up in a time where its hard to find that on the “outside.” Everyone walks around giving free hugs and complimenting each other on their festival wear of the day. Electric Forest has always been blessed to have the support of the amazing police department in Rothbury and these guys are truly amazing! They were always smiling and laughing, enjoying themselves and the atmosphere, even though they were working. A lot of the officers had arm fulls of candy and were often seen exchanging candy with festival goers. Along with Forest family being Forest family…..there were actually a lot of actual families this year. In years past we would see the occasional younger kid there with their mom and dad, but this year there were lots of families with kids of all ages(some families were even grandparents with adult kids with grandkids there). It was so awesome to see that the love of the forest is starting to be shared and passed on to the next generation of festival goers.

Music is the tie that binds is all together. The music inspires all the art and creativity, it brings us all together to become the family that we love. We got to see some amazing artist do some incredible things. Break Science is a great collaboration between Adam Deitch and Borahm Lee that is pretty magical to see live. Shiba San is always amazing. Big Gigantic left all that they had on the stage plus some…they were amazing! Zeke Beats went back to back with EPROM and it was epic! Sub Focus had everyone moving at the Tripolee stage. 12th Planet is just a beast! Not only did he play his spot on Friday night and killed it, he covered a back to back spots for 2 artist that were unable to make it on Saturday too. Poor guy lost his voice by the time it was all said and done but he in no way let that slow him down. We stumble upon the Grand Antique stage by accident and it was such a happy accident because we got to see Vokab Kompany and they were utterly amazing. A-Trak played at the Forest stage to round out his curated Turntablist stage and it was unbelievable. A-Trak played in a way I had never seen him play before-definitely the best set We have ever seen him do. Alison Wonderland never disappoints. Flume brought the feels for everyone. Dillion Francis closed out the festival on Friday night and it couldn’t have been more perfect. Autograf brought their fun loving selves and kept the crowd dancing. We chilled for a little bit and sat back to listen to the almighty String Cheese Incident(you can’t go to Forest and not see them!). Lido was the highlight of the entire festival for me(and I’m pretty sure a lot of others are with me on this). He was just simply amazing. I wish I had better words to describe it but it was just a flawless set. Illenium closed out Saturday night and he blew everyone away. Sunday we got to experience Tom Misch, lets just say if you haven’t ever experienced him, you should(like now), you will not be disappointed. Minnesota kept the people dancing like he always does. Rezz was unbelievably good. Forest knew what they were doing when they stacked 3 heavy hitters on the last night of the festival. R.L Grimes set was crazy good! Bassnectar played the most badass set-favorite nectar set ever! And Closing out the festival they had the ever loving and amazing Claude Von Stroke who never disappoints his crowd. It was a great way to close the festival out.

If you have never been to Forest I really urge you to try and make it there one day. It is worth the trip and worth every penny you spend. It will be a life changing experience.
