LMAOOO it’s so bad i feel like looking back my time in high school just sounds unreal?? i sent a picture of my eye to another guy i was friends with (in the same friend group as the other two ironically) to show him my new mascara and no joke he responded with an entire verse comparing my eyes to “the heavens” 😭⁉️ and there was also a point in my senior year when i kinda liked a junior on the soccer team (so bfb reader of me but like. reversed.) but for some reason everyone shipped me with the captain of the soccer team?? like people would harass my FRIENDS asking if i liked him…meanwhile i liked mr junior varsity who didn’t even get playtime 😓 it was so bad too i went to a soccer game and everyone thought i was attending to watch the captain, INCLUDING THE GUY I WAS INTO 😐 i went up to congratulate him after the game and bro fr said “did you see the captain play he was amazing” i just left at that point because what can you even do…these are relatively tame in terms of mira lore sadly KJSHGHDFK this is why i have never had a boyfriend or first kiss or anything like that 💔 they’re all CRAZY 😱

Chapter 2: This evanescence always fleeting like a flame

It was no surprise that Lily had managed to drag the two of you through the crowd of people so that you could stand right at the stage. She had clasped your hand like her life depended on it, knowing that if she didn’t, you would gladly stay in your comfortable little booth. Alex was nowhere to be seen, and you silently cursed him for flying under Lily’s radar because she was so focused on getting you laid. Luckily, you’d managed to grab another drink before Lily abducted you, and you quickly downed about half of it, hoping that it would help with the awkward – I have no idea what to do with my hands – phase of the concert.

You turned your attention to the band, noticing their lead singer and guitarist who you hadn’t met. After a quick Instagram investigation, as per Lando’s suggestion, you’d found out that their names were scotty and Michael. You could tell many girls would go crazy over these guys, both more ‘conventionally’ handsome than Daniel, but neither really your type. As soon as the thought crossed your mind, you focused on the drum set that was set up at the back of the stage. Daniel was already there, making some last-minute adjustments to his drums, looking so serious and concentrated that it made your brows screw together in intrigue, as Scotty began introducing them and hyping the crowd up to the best of his abilities.

“I can tell you’re into him you know” Lily whispered in your ear next to you with a smirk.

“Lily, remember what I told you about needing a break with relationships?”

“Who said anything about a relationship?” she answered smugly, “come on, I know you must be sexually frustrated after Nick, let’s be real, you should have dumped his ass after you found out he wasn’t into giving head-“

“Lily!” you gave her a slight push as a final warning to stop talking. Luckily, the band started their first song, the sound coming from the speakers just a few feet away from you finally succeeding in shutting Lily up. You downed the remainder of your drink as you shook your head at her a final time and focused on the music instead.

They were good, you had to admit. Scotty was made for the front man role, his voice perfect for the indie rock vibe they were clearly going for. As Lily and you swayed to the music, her words still lingered in your head. Maybe she had a point, you couldn’t for the life of you remember when you’d had sex that was, you know, good. So perhaps there was no harm in giving it a try with a hot drummer guy? Jesus, listen to yourself, sounding like a desperate groupie or something, you weren’t even sure if he wanted you like that in the first place.

The turmoil inside your head was causing your attention to focus solely on Daniel, sweat visibly dripping from beautiful nose as he drummed his heart out, perfectly illuminated by the subtle stage lights. He looked like heaven.

Suddenly, his eyes caught yours as they transitioned into a slower song, and he flashed what was clearly his trademark smile at you, eyes crinkling and perfect teeth on full display before he focused back on the drums. He put even more into it this time, almost like he wanted to show off now that he knew you were watching. As your conscience dripped back into reality, the short interaction had you feeling way too hot under the lights and in between the dozens of people. When you turned to look for Lily, you noticed Alex had finally appeared too, holding another one of those awful blue cocktails in his hand. Great, this gave you the window of opportunity to make your escape without her noticing, because if this night was really going to end up where it was heading now, you were going to need more alcohol.

Once back at the bar, you chose to abandon the flimsy cocktails and go for shots instead.

About forty-five minutes and 4 shots later, Lily and Alex joined you at the bar, and you could hear the crowd cheer as Scotty thanked them and made his way off the stage, but not before Lando could butt in and plug their Instagram on the mic. Ofcourse.

“Don’t think I didn’t notice your little houdini act over there, missy” Lily said in a disappointed tone, “Alex isn’t half as fun of a dance partner as you are”

“Uhm, I’m standing right here, you know” Alex said in disbelief.

“Listen, guys, I had fun and I really enjoyed tonight, but I’m tired…and also drunk because I just had shots on my own for no reason so I think I’m gonna head ho-“

“uh-uh, no way I’m letting you leave without some more shots and some more dancing, I heard the DJ takes requests when he’s drunk enough so we’re dancing to Taylor Swift whether you like it or not, I don’t make the rules”

Though you already wanted nothing more than to be in your bed, you felt bad for turning Lily down after she tried so hard to cheer you up. Without her, you’d still be on your sofa in the same position she found you in earlier today. You gave her a nod, and she clapped her hands excitedly as she ordered some more shots for you.

Things were already starting to blur by the time Lando joined your group of three, clearly bursting from adrenaline from the show, patting Alex on the back and gladly accepting the shot that Lily offered him.

“You weren’t there to catch my drum stick”

The voice coming from behind you made you jump so hard you almost fell from the bar stool as you clutched your chest in surprise. Daniel quickly gripped one of your arms and set you up right again as he apologized, clearly fighting the urge to laugh at you. Smooth, Y/N.

“Yeah sorry, I uh- I got a bit hot, needed a drink” you felt like an idiot as you gestured towards the many empty shot glasses in front of you. You wished the ground would just give way and swallow you whole, because your original plan of getting some liquid courage to aid you in flirting with Daniel was falling apart in front of your very eyes.

Your drunkness was made worse by how exhausted you felt, a combination of the emotions of the last day, the lack of sleep, and the alcohol making it so you had trouble keeping your eyes open, let alone maintain any sort of noteworthy conversation with the man in front of you.

Daniel had changed out of his band tee, too soaked with sweat to justify keeping it on, and had traded it for a simple white one. The contrast between the shirt and his tan skin was so enthralling that you failed to notice that his mouth was moving. Right, he was speaking to you. Shit.

“Don’t worry, I saved you one” he said as he reached into his back pocket and slid a single drum stick over to you on the bar as he took a seat on the stool next to you.

You stared at the drum stick like you’d never seen one before in your life, not knowing how to react to his gesture, before finally collecting yourself and at least making an attempt to match his flirty behavior.

“I should save this and sell it when you guys make it big, huh?”

“When we make it big, I’ll give you more than just a stupid drumstick” he stated firmly as he took a sip from is beer, tossing in a wink for good measure.

“Hmm. You give all the girl you meet at your shows one of these?” you asked as you twirled to drumstick between your fingers. You were sure he would answer with some cheesy line like “only the pretty ones”, but his response caught you somewhat by surprise. He took a long pause before answering.

“No” he set down his bottle and turned his face to yours, eye contact so intense that it made your insides turn…in a good way.

“No, I don’t” was all he said, letting the words marinate between the two of you for a moment before finally tearing his eyes from yours again.

His confident demeanor had your intoxicated and tired brain scrambling to match his assertive tone, and you suddenly felt like you were in way over your head with him. It made you feel small, like there was no way you could ever be interesting enough for a guy like Daniel for him to entertain kissing you, let alone take you home.

If you weren’t even good enough for an asshole like Nick, then Daniel would surely be out of your league. Maybe he was only flirting with you because Lily set him up to it, you wouldn’t put it past her at this point. As the familiar sensation of self-doubt started making its roots inside your mind, you did what you were used to doing, and ran.

“If you’ll excuse me, I’m just gonna…go to the bathroom”

There wasn’t even time for Daniel to say anything, but you caught a glimpse of his expression before you made your escape. He looked disappointed, confusion clear on his gorgeous face.

You did actually make it to the bathroom, and as you gripped the sides of the sink and took a look at yourself in the mirror, you felt even more drunk than you did before, clearly those last couple of shots that Lily bought you had taken their time to kick in. Okay, you needed to find Lily and tell her you were going home for real this time, making a mental note to never attempt to forget about being broken up with through alcohol ever again. Doing your best to collect yourself, you made your way back to the dancefloor and attempted to locate Lily and Alex. You were stumbling now, and you realized that you were going to need Lily to get you into an Uber safely. Absolutely fantastic.

The helpless feeling that had been slowly building in your chest was threatening to spill over as you pushed through the crowd. You felt dizzy, panic starting to settle in as you tried to find your phone in your pockets to text Lily. When you couldn’t locate it, struggling to move in the dark and crowded bar, you felt tears pricking your eyes, a physical sign of the frustration you felt with yourself.

Out of nowhere, you felt a hand on your shoulder, softly gripping your upper arm and dragging you to the side of the bar. The hand felt alien, and it surely wasn’t Lily, so you were half ready to throw a punch if the stranger had bad intentions with you, two tears now quietly rolling over your cheeks.

“Hey, hey, shhh. It’s me” Daniel grabbed both your shoulders now, turning you to face him so you could see that he wasn’t a threat. You finally calmed down, letting your tense shoulders relax under his hands.

“Come on, let’s get out of here”

Daniel took your hand in his and led you to the exit of the bar. The cold air made you feel instantly better, like a fog being lifted.

“Are you okay?” Daniel asked worryingly as he let go of your hand. You found yourself instantly missing the warmth of his hands on you, even though you’d only just met him, his presence felt as comforting as being next to a friend you’d known for years.

“I’m sorry for being weird, I just…I had a really shitty day and I drank too much and I can’t find my friends and I’m just so fucking tired so-“

“Okay, okay” Daniel stopped you before you could get yourself all worked up again “listen, tell me your address and I’ll get you home safe, okay?”

The idea of finally going home and into your bed seemed like heaven, but you knew you couldn’t just leave without letting Lily know you were okay, so you decided to try and find your phone again. This time, with ample room and the street lighting to aid you, you located it quickly in the pocket of your jacket, but the relief was quickly replaced by distress once again as you felt around for your keys and came up empty handed.

“Shit, my keys, I know I had them, they have to be here-“

Daniel’s eyes followed your frantic hands as you examined every pocket, without any luck.

“Listen, I know the owners here, they’ll find them, and we can come pick them up tomorrow, it’s a lost cause looking now with all those people inside. Text your friend to let them know you’re okay, you can crash at my place” the worried look that he had dawned seconds ago had made way for a content grin, clearly satisfied with his plan. His calmness had rubbed off on you, and suddenly the situation didn’t feel nearly as dire as it did a few minutes ago. You quickly drafted a text to Lily, not really knowing how to explain the situation in a single sentence.

Hey, I lost my keys and Daniel is letting me sleep at his place

I’m good but very tired and drunk and I blame you and your shots (and using Taylor Swift to bribe me when they didn’t even play any of her songs)

Love you Lils, tty tmrw

Good, that should do it. You tucked your phone back in your pocket and smiled at Daniel, letting him know you were ready to go. Expecting him to pull out his phone and order an uber, you were surprised when he just started walking down the street. When he realized you weren’t following him, he turned on his heels and looked at you expectantly.

“Well, you coming? Or do I need to carry you, princess?” he asked as he made a little curtesy bow. The nickname that rolled of his tongue in a teasing tone made you sober up slightly, and you quickly caught up with him, giving his shoulder a soft punch in retaliation.

His apartment was less than 10 minutes from the bar, a narrow building that looked like it had seen better days. Daniel led you up the two flights of stairs before stopping at his door and fumbling with his keys to open the door. It was comical almost, how you’d imagined ending up in this exact situation earlier in the night, only it hadn’t gone exactly the way you’d intended it to. He let you enter first, and you stepped inside hesitantly, taking in your surroundings as you did.

It was…different than you’d expected. On the short walk here, you’d imagined his apartment as a bachelor pad inhabited by a guy in a band, messy and filled with posters, a little like the bar, but the small studio apartment you stood in was nothing like that.

It was neat, dark walls mostly empty except for a small Australian flag that hung in the centre of the wall, the creaky wooden floor making the space feel more warm and homey. A few pictures adorned the small table that doubled as a dining table, and you blindly wandered towards it and picked up one of the frames.

It was a photo of Daniel and his parents; you could tell because he looked so much like his mother that it made you smile fondly. The picture next to it was one of Daniel and a little boy on a bike, both smiling wide at the camera.

“You’re a family guy, huh?” you asked as you gestured towards the pictures.

Daniel took off his jacket and took a few steps towards you. He nodded, but didn’t say anything, and you could tell that talking about his family conjured up certain emotions that he might want to hide from.

“Do you miss it? Home, I mean” you asked as you nodded towards the Australian flag on his wall. Daniel cast his eyes towards the ground as he leaned back against his kitchen island, only a few feet away from you in the small studio.

“Yeah, ofcourse. I left Aus the week I turned eighteen, wanting to make it big in music, you know. I was just a kid back then, happy to be free and independent” he made a sound, like he was mocking his own naivety at the time.

“Looking back at it now, that had to be so hard for my parents, but they let me go, they let me go so I could chase my dreams, I owe them everything”

“They sound like great people” you said as you set the picture back down.

“And they were right, to put their faith in you”

Daniel looked up at you, and he suddenly looked vulnerable in the dark room, the only source of light to illuminate his face being the street lighting outside.

“you’re good. Seeing you on stage tonight…you were born to do this I think, doesn’t matter how many fucking Instagram followers you guys have”

“Lando would disagree” Daniel huffed, but he looked visibly more relaxed, like your complement had calmed him in a way. You wondered if he felt the same self-doubt that paralyzed you sometimes. It seemed impossible, because he was so talented that the idea of him being unsure of his abilities was almost comical.

“But enough about me, what about you? What’s got you all jumpy tonight, you know, except the six shots I saw you down after the show” he teased as he pushed himself off the kitchen counter and approached you with slow steps.

You had no idea what you were supposed to say, the fact that he was now so close to you that you could feel the warmth radiating off him not helping you to find the right words in the slightest.

Yeah, my asshole boyfriend dumped me, so I wanted to use you as a rebound, but I got too drunk and had a panic attack instead.

Not exactly the best ice breaker. However, it didn’t feel right to lie to him either.

“I, uh, just got out of a shitty relationship and, yeah, that doesn’t mix well with alcohol apparently”

Daniel nodded, looking deep in thought, before speaking up again.

“Whoever he is, he’s not worth it” he said as he raised his hand, the thumb that adorned the rose tattoo that had captivated you when you first met now grazing your check, swiping over the dried up tears that had collected there.

You felt your heartbeat in your ears, so loud you feared he could hear it too. Looking into his eyes now, rich and soft like the sweetest chocolate you felt all your worries disappear.

You let your gaze drop down to his lips, and the second you did you knew you were done for. Finally, fueled by the remnants of alcohol in your system and the feeling of Daniel’s thumb still stroking your face, you kissed him. If someone would have told you two days ago that you’d end up here, kissing the drummer of some underground band in his apartment, you’d called them crazy, but here you were.

His was soft, and as your lips touched, you lifted your face slightly so your nose grazed his, feeling the warmth of his breath on your face. But before you could lean in fully and kiss him like you’d really intended to, he took a step back, removing his hand from your cheek along with him.

“Fuck, we can’t, you, uh-you’ve been drinking and I don’t want to take advantage of your situation” he rambled as he ran the hand that had just been touching you through his curls franticly.

“No, please, I want to, Daniel-“ you argued as you tried to close the distance between you and him once again.

“Don’t-“ Daniel said as he took another step back, running out of space and bumping into his kitchen counter instead.

“I’m really exhausting my will power here, so just, uh, stay back” lifting a hand as a way to encourage you to stay where you are.

Your body wanted to argue, feeling a burning need to be near him again, but your tired mind surrendered quickly, and you moved back and gave him some space, Daniel visibly relaxing as you did.

“You can sleep in my bed, I’ll take the couch, come on” he beckoned you to follow him as he made his way to his bedroom. Again, you couldn’t find the energy to fight him on that, the idea of an actual bed being way too good right now.

His room was small, queen-sized bed tucked in the corner of the room. A desk with a notebook and many ripped up pages caught your attention, and you wondered if he wrote the songs for the band. You should ask him tomorrow, you thought as you felt your eyes fighting to stay open. You sat down on his bed and leaned back to unzip your pants. Daniel gave you a panicked look, and you laughed earnestly. He turned around as you quickly rid yourself of your jeans and covered yourself with the blanket.

“You can look, drummer boy, I’m decent, I promise” you grinned.

Daniel was blushing now, and you found yourself thinking how his overly confident attitude had slightly faltered over the past couple of hours. It was interesting, like he was hiding a more sensitive man behind that bigger-than-life mask he put on.

“Okay, I’ll see you tomorrow” despite his words, he stood frozen in his place in the middle of the room, like he was unsure of his next move. Gen Y ep 11 thoughts/reaction

- yeees, make thanuwayu canon!

- i literally just want wayu to be happy

- one of my favorite things about this show is how mature the characters feel, like a majority of the conflicts are caused by the characters being confused or unsure of their feelings and trying to take time to work through them and this unintentionally hurts other characters, but this feels more genuine than a bunch of drama created by stupid misunderstandings and characters being petty, and yes, communication would help a lot of these problems, but it never feels like the writers are just adding things in for no other reason than ‘drama’

- anyways, back to thanuwayu and that beautiful hug and wayu’s precious smile

- that brief flash of thanu’s smile, looking so genuinely happy to have wayu in his arms

- poor phai tho, I don’t want any of my babies getting hurt

- anybody else freak out for a second when he took off his shirt in the mirror and worry that he had gotten the tattoo then were immediately relieved when his back was still bare? just me?

- i tend to prefer college shows rather than high school ones, but my favorite thing about high school thai bls is how accurately they portray high school boys, just boys goofing off, showing their sexy hips

- pls poktong just kiss and make up already, i liked you a lot better when your genre was fluff

- watching pok being all flirty and douchy just seems out of character

- 15 min in and still no markkit

- i’m glad the whole blackmailing plot has now been fully explained, but seeing sandee suddenly smirking and being an asshole is giving me the same feelings as when poktong got weirdly aggressive last ep (by feelings i mean confusion and dislike)

- i wanted phai to end up with sandee bc sandee was so cute and sweet but i don’t know if i want that anymore

- also i forgive tong a little bit for what he did (getting pok beat up not switching the test scores) knowing that he had good(ish) intentions, he still fucked up tho and did a bad thing

- i’m calling it now, either next ep or next season, right when poktong is finally making progress, pok will find out about the switched scores and bam, drama

- pls poktong just kiss and make up already

- i know this scene is supposed to be romantic and all but i can’t stop cringing at the placement of the kisses, like next to the mouth but not quite the cheek? the chin??

- back to my preferred high school babies

- i can’t stop laughing at how they all got the coming of age parted bangs hairstyle to symbolize that they’re in college now

- all the high school babies look good except for pok who now has too much forehead, not that his style before was great but it was better

- thanu is such boyfriend material

- that phaiwayu hug hurts my soul, wayu looks so happy, i just want them both to be happy and not get hurt

- Finally!! 25 min in and finally we get markkit

- i want more of this thanu, thanu with a smile and joking around with his friends

- I really want jiw’s butterfly shirt

- jack and jew kidknapping mark like that was prob my favorite moment of the whole episode, that gif is now my header

- alright, padbok is back, still waiting for their story, but i kinda hope their resolution waits till season 2 bc i want character development for padbok and there’s already so much that needs to happen next ep that i think his story would only be rushed and somewhat glossed over

- i know some people hate padbok, and i also find him annoying, but ever since they dropped the idea of padbok x sab in an earlier ep, all i want is padbok redemption ark

- i guess thanu is somehow going to feature in the poktong story

- i absolutely love sab and klui, they are my favorites of the high school babies

- i guess i can’t call them high school babies anymore

- jackkoh, just admit your feelings for each other already

- aww, markkitwayu choosing custody over the babies, mark wants to be a good senior so badly

- soon as kit said they hadn’t picked a medicine beau, i was like, it’s going to be tong, and i was right, it’s ittpai all over again, but whether it’s better or worse remains to be seen

- i like that they’ve softened poktong bc i like them much better as friends to lovers rather than enemies to lovers

- honestly, their story has a lot of potential but something about it is just really not working well for me and i think its the weird aggression bc they don’t annoy me when their being sweet and smiling. I think if pok had more of a bad boy vibe originally it would’ve been better bc the aggression wouldn’t seem so ooc and the conflict would feel a bit more natural

- their story also has a ton of parallels to ittpai (my gear your gown), so im interested how it’s going to go bc i did like ittpai despite the narrative issues of that show

- poktong: *doing whatever tf they’re doing*

mark: tf did i just step in

- i really appreciate thanu just saying straight out that he has feelings for wayu, i know he struggled with it, but i like him coming to this point that’s like yes, he feels an attraction to phai, he feels drawn to him and he’s seen their poential future, but right now he has actual, solid feelings for wayu built up from their interactions over months

- what he has with phai isn’t real--it could be real, if he went down that path and choose to get closer to phai, but right now his feelings for wayu are real, so that’s what he’s choosing

- him saying they should never meet again was a little tho, spare my poor baby phai at least a little bit

- i get a dose of serotonin every time i see kit wearing mark’s gear

- the markkit is lacking this ep but they are trying to make up for it with all this good good thanuwayu content

- i’m torn between wanting and not wanting thanu to tell wayu about phai bc it will hurt wayu if he does but it’s gonna hurt more later on when wayu finds out on his own

- I can’t tell if wayu has a suspicion about phai, like he def senses there’s another person but I can’t tell if he knows it’s phai

- okay but thanuwayu are so cute and sweet together

- pls let my babies kiss, i couldn’t appreciate their first kiss bc i didn’t ship them then and wayu thought it was pha so pls let them have a do over

- you know what, i like thanuwayu having visions like thanuphai. I can’t quite tell if that was the writers’ intention, but i hope it is bc that would imply that thanuphai aren’t actually soulmates and that what they see is just a potential future, like they could be happy together, but there are also other people who they can be happy with

- i’m not super crazy about this whole ‘let’s rewrite my memories of pha with memories of you’ bc that doesn’t seem like the healthiest way to move on from pha or to start a new relationship but whatever makes wayu happy i guess

- however i do like how it ties into the whole ‘no predetermined fate’ thing and shows how life is shaped by choices and chance

- pls let my babies kiss tho

- hey so i am not liking this preview of the next ep

- anyways, so i’m liking how their handling the thanuwayuphai thing so far, but it is going to be bad next ep as im assuming the envelope that has phai’s picture is probably phai returning the picture to cut ties but obvi wayu is going to find out about their relationship

- still not sure how i feel about poktong, its better than last ep which i did not like and def shows more potential, but i think we’re gonna have to wait and see, don’t like the direction they’re taking with sandee tho

- also whoops, this got really long but i have a lot of feelings about this show

it’s 3:30am and i’m 2 lazy to make a header so here’s yoongi, i promise i have nicer handwriting

Idk if everyone loves Leo or if my header and avatar just remind everyone about this amazing blue boy. (This one’s super silly btw. I’m just sillier as time goes on. Character development I guess?)

The iconic leador Leonardo (1987)

Bro idk why but I loved this Leo. I have a tiny memory, especially with this version but I clearly remember that I thought he was the funniest and the coolest. I mean, he had swords, what was I supposed to do as a 7-year-old. NOT like him??? Anyway, while Raph was the best at insult comedy, I think Leo had the best puns and punchlines. I really like how nonchalant this Leo is compared to his iterations, going along with really silly ideas and having fun along the way. But because of this, his leadership is a little forced at times, he seems like such a chill and fun dude that when he gets serious, I have to squint and ask ‘are you Leo? Or were you just putting on act a moment ago?’ Or my perception is entirely warped over time. Either way, good turtle boy, could have used some work tho. 5.7/10

Here comes grumpy lad wooo this is all read very monotone btw Fearless Leader (2003)

What. What the fuck happened. I was actually so confused when Leo turned really angry and serious and almost manic. I thought that episode when he popped into Casey’s window and was like ‘Hey bitch lets go beat the shit out of some lowlifes’ I was WOAH THERE BUDDY BACK UP BACK UP BACK TF UP. It was so sudden to me and when it was finally explained, it made some sense??? Like yeah, character development is great an’ all but this ain’t it chief. I can’t imagine what it was like having to wait for these episodes to release one at a time. Bc I watched every episode back to back on Youtube and I was genuinely bamboozled. But when you have an experience like that where guilt is weighing down on you from a situation you couldn’t control, it would’ve been HELLA HELPFUL to have at least a flashback, like a line saying ‘I was so useless!’ at BARE MINIMUM. Like right after Shredder is booted off to Planet Zula, Donnie would notice that Leo didn’t seem all that happy and would ask why and Leo would get upset and yell at Donnie saying that ‘You wouldn’t understand’, ‘You don’t know how I felt, how I feel because of that’, etc. Like you don’t even have to say he felt guilty or helpless, just give us something to grab onto. We’re merely six-year-olds who thought they could climb the YMCA rock wall in easy mode but instead the script riders harnessed us up on the hard one and wouldn’t let us come down until we rang the little bell at the top. I think that is the only problem I had with his Leo. The sudden change of calm and decisive to angry and irrational was so jarring that it felt unnatural without that crucial context. If you want a surprise reveal, at least hint at the reveal (like just about every Disney movie with their ‘twist’ villains) not wait until the very last moment. I think this might be my least favorite Leo and I think the season where he stood out the most and seemed the strongest was Fast Forward (Which was GOOD FIGHT ME), especially in scenes with Dark Leo, his clone. He sees so much of himself in Dark Leo but he also sees something he had once grasped (AKA the poorly written character arc, I CANNOT stress how bad I thought it was). Although, I honestly think he’s a really good character and he’s a pretty neat guy. However, this score is entirely held up by Fast Forward and his connection with Usagi, sword bros to the end of time. 3/10 (2 for FF and 1 for Usagi)

And now a Leo that makes me genuinely feel UWU Leo (2012)

I cannot stress how much I like this guy! Like his design is so appealing, his dedication, his obsession with Space Heroes, like I FUCKING LOVE IT. And everyone knows, that shit with Karai, at first when they didn’t realize they were related, I can let slide but kajsdflksadf what even like why did the writers feel the need to add in more ‘love interest’ implications like yuck yuck yuck. The only two interactions with Leo and Karai that I really like are when Leo defeats her using the healing hands technique and when Leo has a goth/emo/punk/idk I’m new here phase and they team up and EXPLOSIONS. He was introduced to us as being incredibly naive and his idea of leadership is from some old cartoon that’s basically star trek but ethically questionable. After his fights in season 1, to the finale with the technodrome, you can see his growth. He’s able to formulate plans and make life or death decisions. BUT WAIT THERE’S MORE. When Leo got hurt, I felt like the oof sound effect mixed with some tears I normally shed at some Shojo manga bs. While the episodes following were super weird, it was a nice way to help Leo recover, not only physically but spiritually (Although I don’t remember the spirit arc at all except the epic Raph vs Fishface fight, so we’re skipping that). When Master Splinter really died, you could tell there was a huge impact on Leo, but he had to remain stoic and lead the family now. A lot of heartbreaking moments in this series came from Leo and I’m glad they took at least some thought into developing him. Tiny head Leo will haunt my nightmares, but the giggly fanboy will warm my heart constantly. 6/10

I only have one word for this Leo (Heroes in a Half Shell: Blast to the Past)

This is a super crazy bad idea accent on the super crazy bad part have I mentioned it’s also a really terrible idea/10

Okay, spoiler alert, didn’t really think this Leo was that grand Leo (2014/2016)

Painfully average. He didn’t stand out that much, Raph was part of the focus and had that touching scene at the end, Donnie was ICONIC and Mikey (with his weird-ass eyes) was super lively and funny! Leo? Uh, I don’t remember a single line he said. Because he never really grabbed my attention, I don’t have too much to say on this version. The Raph and Leo fight felt forced and the whole ‘keep this stuff that could turn us human a secret’ was pretty pointless and was added just to cause drama, I don’t even remember what that Splinter and Leo conversation was about. Design-wise, really neat! You can see some more traditional Japanese clothing/style mixed with modern (I’d feel a lot better about this assumption if some could tell exactly what the heck he’s wearing, but I get traditional Japan warrior vibes from it) in his look which was super neat! Other than that, if you like him, please tell me why because I don’t get. He was just kinda eh. 5/10

AHHH MY BOY YASSS WHOOO!! Neon Leon (2018)

Okay, I loved Ben Schwarts already from Parks and Rec but like him being Sonic AND Leo, like DUDE. He’s super funny by himself but teamed up with this shows writing and animation, it makes it hilarious. I literally love this Leo so much, maybe because we’re alike but honestly, he’s amazing. I love his design with the red and yellow crescents accenting his skin and livening up his color pallet. He has a very healthy and natural dynamic with his brothers, he’s the first to know what’s wrong and tries his best to make up for his actions. This is really prominent in the most recent episodes, along with the episode portal jacked. In both, Leo is separated from his brothers. Portal Jacked is in a more literal sense, while Air Turtle handles in more of an emotional sense. While both are brief, Leo sees his error and tries his best to make it up to them. I love his dynamic so much and it’s so nice to see something like this compared to the unnecessary drama and tension between the brothers in the previous series. It’s refreshing and this is something a younger audience needs to see; instead of fighting, it’s better to work together and improve yourself along the way. Improvement is a big theme for Leo here. He’s a goofball, makes jokes at every opportunity and isn’t quite skilled at fighting or using his weapon. But he grows over time, he learns to manage his power and he’s working on mastering it. He’s trying to put aside his narcissism more and focuses on his family. I think the approach they took with him rising to leader rather than slapping it on his forehead was the goddamn best decision they could make. He’s making plans, finding loopholes, helping out and getting out of his comfort zone. I cannot stress how well this show has handled Leo, along with the other characters. I can’t wait to see more episodes about his growth and I am awarding him with one of the greatest honors I could give... 10/10

i know i said elsie gave me juyeon vibes and i dang near paired her with juyeon again here but at further thought, i thought she might be more like bbang instead. like younghoon, i think elsie can be rather reserved at first but when you start to talk to her, she’s actually really nice and easy to talk to. i’m not actually sure how to explain it but it’s a gut feeling for this one, somehow pairing her with juyeon on this one would feel wrong.

these 2 people are so funny and their humour is so direct and similar that sometimes i wonder if i’m talking to hyunjae 2.0 but rose ver. the way rose talks and responds to things reminds me a lot of hyunjae. you guys know how hyunjae is always so straightforward and is known to speak his mind? that’s rose as well.

belle and juyeon are alike because i always saw them as the highly talented type but are also incredibly low key and humble about their own achievements. juyeon seems like the kind of guy to really be dedicated to his work, giving himself very high standards and idk why but that’s how i see belle as well. there’s also this softness to the both of them that kinda makes me want to give them a big hug.

anna is a perfect example of someone who knows when to be serious and when to play around, just like kevin. i feel like her advice is always pretty sound and what she says is what i can imagine kevin saying as well. we haven’t been talking lately but i rmb being so relaxed around her and even at our first convo, i didn’t feel awkward at all.

seeing amal’s tags on her posts always makes me think of chanhee for some reasons and just the way she talks too? like she’s sweet and friendly but internally i feel like there’s this sassiness that i normally would associate with chanhee. it’s like they have a soft aura but there’s a little bit of a kick to them as well!

i know we always think of changmin as a very happy go lucky kinda guy ( bruh as im typing this he’s having a vlive LMAO ok by anyways ) and i feel like dee is like that but i think beneath that happy go lucky exterior, they’re both also very introspective people who are actually very mature in their thinking and very intellectual as well. they are people who know how to have fun and you think that that is all there is to them when it’s not the case.

rosie is a huge ball of fluff like changmin tbh!! they’re both so cute and adorable and i think that the way they talk is also quite similar? you know how changmin’s voice is always so upbeat even though he may just be talking in a very casual manner? yeah, i think that’s how i imagine rosie to sound like! honestly? mad changmin vibes from this girl

at first i wanted to say kevin but after a little bit more thinking, i’m going to say haknyeon. i feel like haknyeon and mae are the kind of ppl you’d turn to if you just want to be completely random and weird around bc you can trust them to act just the same around you. they are both the type of the people you’d love to be best buds with and when you hang around them, you never know what you’re gonna get because one moment they can be quiet, the next they can be the wildest and most boisterous ppl you meet.

yu is basically hyunjoon and every bit as cool and chill and catlike as he is imo. she’s not someone of many words, like hyunjoon but when she does say stuff, it’s always very meaningful and well thought out. sometimes her perspective on stuff are from povs that i’ve never thought of exploring at all so talking to her always feel like im learning something new along the way and it’s just like how i think talking to hyunjoon would be like as a guy who had so much happen to him both good and bad.

idk if casey knows this but she’s one of the very first tbz writers that i followed and i’ve read her earliest works and i just rmbed being so awestruck by them? the artistry is actually unbelievable and when i read her stuff, i feel like i can detect this flair in her work that i like to associate with hyunjoon. like they’re both very committed to their work and have this individualistic, unique flair in them. they way she interacts with ppl is also very calm and logical, like hyunjoon which i admire as well! (p.s idk if you rmb but i think i once requested a juyeon drabble from you (#59) and it’s still one of my fav tbz works on tumblr EVER )

didn't need to think twice lol for sunwoo lol, it’s def gonna be anie. they both care so much for the ppl around them and also put in a lot of effort in everything they do like have you seen anie’s works? the headers and the story... everything is so well executed and you can see how much effort she puts into them. but the biggest similarity is that they’re both not afraid to be themselves and i think that’s what i like so much about them.

yo the amount of energy bea has is freaking insane sometimes. it’s a sort of radiant energy that she exudes that makes you want to hang around with her and just befriend her. talking to bea always makes me so happy and i sometimes catch myself smiling as i’m texting her because that’s the kind of effect she’d have on other ppl! in that aspect, she's like eric imo bc i get the same feeling when im like watching crack tbz videos that feature eric ><

alesha, i would say resembles the softer side of eric. the more mellow but nonetheless cheery version of eric, if that makes sense? alesha is honestly a very lovely person and i think she really takes the time to build on her relationships with others, such as being there for others and making them feel valued much like how i think eric is like!

I read a lot zutara mainly because katara and aang getting together was always super uncomfortable to me

i am always here for Dumbass Zuko headcanons lmao. however I did unfollow that blog just the other day because while I love their art (give me allllllllll the accurately drawn PoC. if you draw PoC (or white people for that matter) as button-nosed instagram girls with dark skin and make no effort to learn how to actually draw different types of facial features i will come to your house and make you eat your wacom tablet and draw my giant nose and square jaw with pen and paper until you get it Right, there are enough resources about this and i am tired) I didn’t love their hot takes which I obviously did not want to say in the tags on their post but idk,,, I was getting this really bitter vibe from their meta, idk how else to explain it. I can understand being bitter about aspects of media you like and of course people are perfectly entitled to their opinions and headcanons, but I just don’t want that bitterness on my dash lol, I come to tumblr to shitpost and look at pretty pictures. and their opinions on zuko were definitely part of it bc they felt really unfair to me and the Pride and Prejudice post is def an example of something where I was just like ??? this makes perfect sense until I actually think about it at all?? why are you being mean to zuko for no apparent reason????? is it.... because he’s the only major character from the nation that is most similar to white colonising cultures, even though he’s doing the work to a) be aware of the colonising mentality he’s internalised and work on it and b) as the ruler of said nation, flag up and eradicate this mentality from his own country, which is evidenced by the FN’s policy of non-intervention in Korra (I think the almost-going-to-war plot in the comics was absolute bullshit by the way, like not its existence but just it not really being examined in that sense)? I am 100% here to examine those aspects of ATLA and again, I totally understand being bitter about them, but it just tires me out in a website I consider a leisure space

oh yeah i basically dont ship any of the endgame ships (in ATLA, as you may guess from my header being Korrasami lol) because as i have said before, nobody needs to find their One True Love at the age of 13 lmao (i do kinda ship Suki/Sokka because they are a little older (still kids by our standards but most probably near adulthood by their own, if not actually adults in the full sense, and yes I do think cultural context matters when ascribing adulthood to people outside the modern West no matter what ‘you’re a baby until you turn 18 and then why don’t you instatnly have a job and a mortgage’ internet culture says) and their relationship is just so cute and feels really healthy to me idk we were Robbed of enough Suki screentime, we should have got more Suki and also she should have had her character explored a Lot more than Cool Ninja Feminist Gal) (also, witness the nested brackets, they are here)

I think a lot of people have issues with Zutara (and presumably by extension Zukka? though I haven’t seen this discussed as much or like. at all) because of the issues associated with essentially the heir to a colonizing empire which has decimated the culture of the indigenous-coded woman he’s being shipped with (im sure you’ve also seen those discussions if you’ve spent like. any time at all in ATLA fandom lol) which I... kinda have mixed feelings about, I’ve seen fics where it is definintely completely ignored and done really really badly but I have also seen fics where that conflict is a really essential theme and that’s been quite interesting (would recommend Southern Lights on AO3 if ou haven’t come across it before as a good example of that though it is very long and currently being updated (pretty regularly)). I feel like I’m too removed from that part of intercultural conflict that I have the right to comment on it, though I’ve definitely faced shades of those issues in the past, but I also feel like it’s potentially an example fo knee-jerk Tumblr purity culture to just say its Bad And Wrong so idk I’m conflicted.

In the politics of the world, I just don’t see how Katara being Fire Lady (ugh that’s a phrase that always makes me laugh, and not in a kind way), which is probs the most comon Zutara fic plot, would have Worked in any sense at all, and I definitely think she would have wanted to stay at he South Pole and rebuild her culture and bring bending back to them (as we see in the comics and obvs with her being Korra’s waterbending master iirc) and I can see Zuko wanting to help with that in whatever way possible because he rightly sees that as a really important part of the reparations owed by the Fire Nation. and obviously by the end of the series they were very good friends and definitely had better chemistry than fricking Kataang but yeah those reasons are basically why I don’t love Zutara but don’t necessarily hate it either

let it be known that i was onto you from the start 😠 if you told me it was someone else i would be like “okay... lies” but in the back of my mind i would have known you must have an intense bertholdt phase at some point. it’s him. it’s always been him.

Okay, I know we still have the final to go, but given what we've seen so far what's everyone thinking about the Olympic roster? Who you think deserves to make it, who you want to make it, who is a definite no at this point, anything. Now, I basically know jack shit about soccer (I was a field hockey player, oops) but I definitely have some thoughts about who I want/think deserves to make it.

Let's start with the front line, shall we?

Christen Press. I mean, this one is obvious. In what universe does CP *not* make the roster? I'll tell you which universe - none. She's clearly having a moment, she's healthy, everyone loves her. She's in, signed, sealed, delivered. Put it on my grave.

Pinoe. Okay, okay, "she's only good on set pieces" people say. Yeah, and those are pretty important. And aside from last night's somewhat sub-par performance in that department, I think she's looked pretty damn good this tournament. Fit af. Plus there is something to be said for the leadership and experience the older players have to offer. I think the rest of the team respects her and values her, and she's super positive and supportive of everyone, which I love. As long as she stays healthy, she's in.

Heath. Whoo. Honestly, I don't think we got a good look at her, what with her limited minutes. But she's the nutmeg queen, she's great on corners, she's spicy, and she does that nifty little backheel thing. And again - experience. Definitely takes on a mentor role with some of the younger players. She's had some injuries going back to the end of the club season, but as far as I know they've been minor. I still cringe every time she gets fouled, but I think she'll be okay as long as Vlatko continues to be smart about managing her minutes until she's 100%.

AMorgs??? Okay, this one's loaded. I give her major props for continuing her training during pregnancy, and I 100% believe she has the drive to be match fit by July. That said, pregnancy and childbirth are unpredictable. If she ends up needing a c section (which I wish on nobody, fingers crossed for a nice, uncomplicated delivery) I don't think she'll be ready due to the recovery period. That is the only reason I hesitate to say she's going for sure but I am hoping for the best and want only good things for her.

Baby Mal??? I don't know. This is a tough one. As much as I miss her, I will admit to thinking (please don't kill me for this) that she looked kind of lost and unfocused in the friendlies last fall. She has the skills to be there, no doubt, it just seemed to me she wasn't connecting well with her teammates, wasn't anticipating where they would be, etc. But I love her and hope she works shit out.

Carlos??? She isn't starter material at this point. This tournament, for her, seemed to be about getting Carlos to the Olympics, not the USWNT. Not at her best, by a long shot, and unlike Pinoe I don't think the younger players really see her as a leader or mentor. Not gonna lie, I was rooting for her because I admire her drive and dedication to keep going, but she fell short here.

Now, I'm skipping ahead to goalies, because honestly that's the easiest.

Uncle Naeher. Biggest no-brainer along with Press. (Honestly...can anyone give me a valid reason for her not to start? I doubt it.) I think she proved both in international and club play last season that she deserves the starting spot. It's hers to lose, but she won't.

Ashlyn. I hesitate to say I'm 100% sure here, but it's a pretty good bet. Campbell or Bledsoe could sneak in there, but at this point I'm leaning towards not. We really didn't get a good look at where she is right now, what with there not being a whole lot of action on that end of the field, but apparently Vlatko likes her so I'm good with that.

Ugh. Now we have midfield and backs. Honestly the toughest spots to cut anyone because they're basically all looking rock solid.

Rose. Why tf would you cut Rose? That's right, you wouldn't. She's had a solid tournament. Would have liked to see more of her, but benching her against Costa Rica was prob a good call, given her yellow card from the previous game. (Confession - sometimes I feel like she falls in the "looks like she could kill you; would actually kill you" category. Anyone else get this vibe? Not necessarily a bad thing…)

Lindsey. Honestly, I feel like sometimes she doesn't get the credit she deserves. Does she ever have a *bad* game? Even when she's not at her best, she's still The Pretty Good Horan. Solid as a rock. Great one-touch passes. Has perfected the art of the header. Awesome volleys. Just got her first international hat trick, yay! Looks cool, calm, and collected, but is capable of being absolute chaos on main (exhibit A: That Game™ vs Utah). Leaves no square inch untouched as she roams from box to box. Minus last season's concussion (and maybe a minor hamstring injury last fall where she missed a friendly? Am I right?) she's been healthy, which is more than I can say for several others, so there's also that. And she's the love of my life, so I will accept zero criticism on this one.

JJ. She's fast, she's feisty (and sometimes ultra spicy), she and Dunn are adorable bffs, she's a leader. I have nothing bad to say about her. But I'm still kinda salty that Chicago beat Portland in the semis so that's as nice as I'm gonna get. (No hate though, really, she's fantastic.) She needs to stop giving me heart attacks with the couple-pics-that-could-be-pregnancy-announcements, though. One USWNT baby at a time, thanks.

Sammy. Well, she got herself two braces so far in qualifying (okay, that one goal was highly questionable, but the ref said goal so goal it is), so she's definitely made a strong case for herself. She's tall. She's able and willing to catch The Great Horan (you know, because she's the only one taller than The Great Horan). She panics over being the first one on the bus. The only thing I don't like about her? She plays for NCC. But honestly she's adorable, really fucking good, and I love her so I can overlook that.

KO. Okay, I'll admit I was nervous. Her first couple games were a little shaky, she had a few pretty big goof-ups (but I mean when she whiffed that one time she had literally just recovered from a savage attempt at breaking her ankles so I can't even blame her for that) but her ankles were away at war for like 6 months so what do you expect? Last night she was in fine form. She brings a great energy to the game, connects well with Tobito, has the Stanny connection with CP and some cute, newfound friendship thing going on with Horan, and is basically the ultimate hype girl (when she's not being the ultimate frat daddy). When you need a bitch, she's your woman. And she's hot. Like, HOT hot. As long as the ankles hold up, she's gotta be on that roster. I am rooting for those ankles. Hard.

Sonnett. Really did herself a solid with the minutes she had. No complaints from me. Almost scored a goal, and I'm not counting it out in the final. Not afraid to break ankles. She's scrappy, spicy, saucy, a sit-down comedian, a soft smiler, and a package deal with Horan. She deserves the world. The world (or at least the USWNT and its fans) deserves her. Please don't cut her, Vlatko. I beg of you. (I'm not saying if you cut her, I'll cut you, but like...I'm not NOT saying it, either...)

Krieger. What do I need to say except she showed everyone why Jello was an idiot not to play her. She's a beast. And I really, really, really need the wives to both make it bc I will cry if one does and the other doesn't.

Dunn. I mean, have you seen her? She's all over the field. She almost scored during her 100th cap. I've never seen her have a bad game. Voted best dancer on the team. The only problem? See Sammy above. F'n NCC. She deserves better, dammit.

Dahlkemper. Okay, don't sue me, but I really don't have any feelings toward her either way. A lot of people love her. I've never heard anyone say anything bad about her (except this one time I saw someone roast her on IG for following Honkle, but that's her business I guess) so that's good enough for me. Also she's pretty and posts thirsty comments on her teammates pics so basically I stan a supportive Abby.

Broon. Cool as a cucumber. The voice of reason. A literal angel. Captain Becky never lets us down.

Okay. Now for who I don't think will/should make it.

AD. This makes me really, really sad. I love AD. But she's the only player on the roster who didn't get any minutes, so I think that says exactly where she stands in Vlatko's eyes. It's a shame, because she's amazing, but it's super hard to choose between her and Ash.

Lynn. Clearly Vlatko sees something in her, and tried really hard to make it happen. It didn't happen. I was kind of rooting for her, just because everyone else seemed to be against her, but she just didn't seem to connect with the rest of the team. She's fast, I'll give her that, but it's not enough.

Jmac. Another one I was rooting for just because everyone else was against her. She has talent, and when she's on she's great, but she wasn't connecting with the others.

Moe. Nothing against her, just no compelling reason to cut anyone else for her. Injury-prone, which obviously isn't good.

Allie. See Moe, minus the injuries. Bonus points for social media content, though.

Baby T. No clue where she stands with the injury. If she's 100% I have absolutely no reason why she shouldn't be on the team, but I don't know who I'd cut to keep her. If she isn't 100% I'd rather she take the time to heal completely. I know it was reported that she'd be ready to resume training around February, but a while back she herself said she didn't think she'd be 100% by the Olympics so who tf knows. She's SO young and could have 2-3 Olympics (and World Cups) ahead of her so no need to risk a career-ending injury by rushing it. But if she IS ready I'm down for her being an alternate (or, heaven forbid, making roster in the event that anyone else is injured). I like Tierna. I want a long, successful career and only good things for her.

Player I selfishly just want on the team because I like her.

Midge. She was a Thorn, so maybe I'm a little biased, but she's good, she's young (but not *young* young and inexperienced), she's versatile. I like her. A lot.

Since Childhood, I am watching transformers and looking forward to becoming a transformer one day, Grew up by Reading Transformers Fanfiction Stories and was always amazed by the fictions that used to pop out from such inspiring Fanfiction Lovers. Also liking the Transformer Fanfiction Crossover a lot.

If I Start Giving my Opinions about Transformers Fanfiction Lemon and Transformers Crossover fanfiction, I don't think so that I won't end the topic of Transformers Fanfiction Stories even in 24 hours. Lukas Schimik Agreed ! Don't know why everybody hates it, I think it's still my number 1 TF movie! Optimus new look, Lockdown & Galvatron, KsI (bots), Dinobots, cast ( HATED this Sam & Mikeala ) and the TF/human conflict. Still love it. Miguel GC Gamer Age of Extinction is the only film that entertains that I don't skip any parts of the movie and I like all the characters in this film and the transformers designs are great, dino bots are Awsome. Vincent H well....bad taste is also bad taste at the end of the day. I know you younger kids think that everyone is supposed to have an opinion and everything is subjective blah blah blah but if you're a cinephile than the Transformers are objectively bad films. They are cynical cash grabs made to make money in China. Bay and the producers have said as much. I mean you can like whatever you want. If you wanna listen to Teletubbies soundtrack all day that's your right....but that does mean you have shitty taste. It's okay. Not everyone has good taste. urtpro 2 I'm not hating I'm genuinely curious. I certainly like it more than Last Knight but barely lol. I'm curious the reasons why AOE fans consider it one of the better Transformers movies. I will say it was nice to switch up the protagonist and all that since Sam Witwicky had worn out his welcome by the third film. And the actress who played Wahlberg's daughter was smoking hot, so that was a plus too. Oliver Parker I thought the premise of the world hating and hunting the Transformers(regardless of Faction), cuz of what happened in Chicago(in DOTM), was kool, MW was a refreshing Main Hero over Shia tbh, and Lockdown was Badass! Honestly kinda just laughed off the whole Romeo and Juliette law thing as being just a bad movie joke! I’m mean honestly I know there’s no such law, and as such it didn’t really bother me! Just rather thought it was somewhat silly! Yann Labeille Well Lockdown was a pretty good villain for once in the movies. However Galvatron went nowhere after this. Anthony That isn't true. I saw Bumblebee yesterday and I find it Like watching E.T., the movie is just on Charlie, not really much on Bee. The only g1 part is the first 5 minutes of the movie. Too much 80s references. Even though the Bay movie didn't focus enough on the transformers, this one did even less The Burden of Bordem I'm a decepticon fan and none of the main decepticons were even given a name in the movie. They were just there to be bad. The Burden of Bordem For me I think this film would have worked much better if they just had Starscream as the main villain, and maybe Barricade hunting bumblebee and give them a more personal relation ship as enemies.
