something I often think about w the Battler and Kinzo resemblance which isnt commented on in the novel, is the fact that Battler, Rudolf’s son who hates him and sees him as an unsuitable adult, basically did the child reverse version of disowning HIM. and as he ages, this son is growing into a physical mini-me of Kinzo, his father who hates him and sees him as an unsuitable adult.
