so there was a huge state-wide (victoria) power outage a few hours ago and it only just came back on, this was my siblings brilliant idea of making our cat more visible

#anyways 6 transmission towers got super damaged in a storm#usually it wouldn’tve been that bad but it’s been so hot the past couple days that they were weakened or smth#basically them crashing down sent a power surge to the grid main and triggered a switch to just shut the whole thing down so nothing went 💥#apparently like 500000 houses were left without power
