HOT TOYS KAMEN RIDER!!!!

Just making this very quick and impromptu post before I go to bed as we get to see the new HOT TOYS KAMEN RIDER! Kamen Rider No. 1 (Hongo Takeshi)

I'm very very happily surprised it wasn't the Shin Kamen Rider designs! I absolutely love those designs, but we already have ThreeZero's and VTS Toy's take on 1/6 scale Shin Kamen Rider figures, so the fact these are based on the original 1971 look is fantastic! Speaking of fantastic, just look at that head sculpt!!!

The head sculpt with rolling eyes, the LED belt and the genuine leather on the figure just elevates it to a whole new status!
Kamen Rider No. 2 (Hayato Ichimonji)

And of course we can't forget Ichimonji! He's looking just as great as Hongo and the two are going to look perfect together! My only issue being the fact there's no head sculpt for him. I assume that has to be an issue with the rights to use Takeshi Sasaki's likeness.

Just like Hongo, his suit is genuine leather as well and he comes with one more additional belt style. Now it would be too easy to just call it quits there, so of course Hot Toys had to give them some really cool unique bases for them to stand on.

But even that wasn't enough for Hot Toys, and they just had to go big with the next accessory. Cyclone

That's right, they each get their own Cyclone to ride! There's even a set to get the figure and bike bundled together. Prices are sure to be announced soon with more information too, so I'll be keeping an eye open for that. No matter the price, I will ABSOLUTELY be picking up the entire set! On their official website, these two are listed for quarter 1-2 of 2026. Which means I better start saving up right now! Now let's all hope that Hot Toys can see the potential of more Kamen Rider figures, and maybe we can see some Heisei Riders in our future!

my version of my villain academia
the mva arc is a very popular story arc within mha community and even the mha critical community. But at risk of sounding like the tenth dentist here, I cant stand this arc. Its essentially a new villain group that exists solely to get streamrolled by the lov through plot armor and flashbacks just so the story can brainwash its fans into thinking tomuras character arc amounts to anythung. So ive decided to make my own mva arc, which is a lot more literal this time based on my personal rewrite.
Thus far, japans most infamous vigilante, herpeton, is finally on the up and up. The people arent as scared of him, hes made a fair share of allies, and people are starting to be more proactive with helpingnone another instead of waiting for the heroes to solve everything.
This did not sit well with one president mirai sasaki(formerly known as the pro hero sir nighteye). Since herpetons debut, he and the commision have been trying to take him down. Hiring the volcano thieves, sicking hawks out to "do away" with him multiple times, creating the nomu, yet none of it has worked. Then, sasaki got an idea, an awful idea, sasaki got a wonderful, awful idea. The next day at tartarus, the prisoner known as the maestro was paid a visit. The maestro was a gorilla with the quirk esper which gave him your run of the mill psychic abilities, and he was the self proclaimed arch nemesis of herpeton. Sasaki and maestro struck a deal. Sasaki would let maestro use a new and improved version of the quirk amplification device(based on the blueprints of dr shield and dr wolframs original idea) to allow him to use his telepathy to find herpetons true identity. In return, maestro would be released back into the african jungles where he had been living the dream. Maestro was successful in finding out herpetons name, led to a elite squad of heroes including hawks, mirko, and president sasaki was along for the ride as well with a secret weapon. The ambush ended with herpeton being shot with electrical bullets and having his spine severed by hawks before they dumped his body in the ocean for good measure. Too bad for them, old herpys got the healing factor of an axolotl so he was able to recover an make it back to japan by running across the water with the propotional speed of a namib gecko. But when he finally got back japan was a different place from when he left. The maestro had double crossed the commision and used to the device to mind control every hero and hero student in japan to do his bidding. Aside from a few pros and fledgelings that escaped his control the people only defense against the simian masterminds terror was vigilantes and reformed villains. Now, its up to the villains to save japan from the hero it once worshipped, and stop the maestro once and for all. Eventually herpeton and maestro have one last mano y mano with herpeton knocking .aestro out and releasing the mind cintrolled heros from his grip. During the aftermath hawks tries one last time to kill herpeton in a fit of rage, but is knocked out by gang orcas sonic blast. Orca reveals that he and centipeder have secretly using their status to gather damning evidence against the hpsc and exposing their crimes to the public. The commision members and the heros involved in their scheme were arrested and herpeton was put on temporary probation. Herpy was cooperative with it as he needed a vacation fron vigilantism after the shit hes been through.
And thats the end of my rewrites mva arc! very curious what you guys think. I may make a post about my rewrites epilogue arc later which civers what became of hero society. Anyways see you guys later!

Dazai played a role in the deaths of the Flags
SKL I'm kinda feeling low rn but I'm going to write this anyways. (cause at least maybe it might make me feel better to do something interesting TT). ANYWAYS.
some time ago, I came across a discussion in another platform about whether or not Dazai 'killed' the flags or had a role in doing so. and a lot of people were saying that Dazai is innocent of that?? I personally disagree and here's why.
"Everything. Verlaine's targets, the detective, the researcher - it was all based on the information I gave Verlaine. In other words, the system he used to assassinate people was my system too (. . .) I did it to buy time before Verlaine reached his final target. His final target is Ougai Mori, the Port Mafia boss. Normally, he would've been the first to be assassinated but after manipulating the intel a bit, I got him placed last in line. And thanks to the time I bought, I'm ready to assassinate Verlaine instead. Just need to make a few final touches (. . .)"
--- Dazai, Stormbringer
I think this quote can explain itself. But to break it down a bit, Mori was originally Verlaine's FIRST target. However, Dazai manipulated information so that it would change and Mori would be last. As Dazai says, "the system he used to assassinate people was my system too" -- and who did Verlaine target first instead of Mori? The Flags.
Dazai 100% knew what he was doing.
He's also the one who brought Chuuya to the Flags when Chuuya passed out and interestingly, prior to this, he must have known/seen Albatross still alive, still grasping for air - and did nothing about it. Except bring Chuuya there, likely hours later.
The Flags, Detective Murase, Chuuya's torture - Dazai is responsible for this.
A common occurrence with Dazai's character is his manipulation and passivity when it comes to ensuring the best outcome. He is willing to let bad things happen to people as long as it best serves his goals. Before I mention the more known things, I'd like to say that Dazai is like Ranpo in that they can both see through things. Dazai knew about the secret government facilities torturing children for skill research and used it as a part of his plan. How many times do you think Dazai saw suffering and actively chose to ignore it or utilize it to his advantage?
He does this multiple times through-out the series:
He lets Atsushi, Tanizaki and Naomi be lured in a trap, despite knowing that Higuchi was a mafiosi all along
He provokes Akutagawa's unhealthy obsession to get him to do things and even SMILES knowing this (manga: chapter 84) despite the fact that Aku literally has a terminal illness. Aku tells Atsushi that he can't bear to disappoint Dazai before he dies (chapter 87) - and Dazai fully takes advantage of this
Kunikida and Sasaki (Dazai's Entrance Exam LN)
and maybe some other stuff that I haven't mentioned
One big flaw Dazai has is that he doesn't trust people beyond the expectations he has for them. He doesn't share his plans and takes everything on by himself, planning ahead, using selective honesty and using those around him as pawns rather than team mates - even if his intentions are good.
An exception to this is when he fights as Double Black because he absolutely does trust Chuuya enough to share his plans and depend on him. But outside of these missions - Dazai's manipulative and control freak tendencies are still strong and standing.
Think of the current situation. Chuuya's a vampire. No matter how you look at it, Dazai's the one calling the shots. He's going to save Chuuya.
But it would be rather boring if everything went Dazai's way, don't you think? In Dead Apple, everything went his way and Chuuya saved him, just as he expected.
But this time, I want Chuuya to have a say in the grand scheme of things. How does he feel about being drowned by Dazai? How does he feel about Dazai in general - about his manipulation? Does he not feel used at times? Does he even know Dazai had a role in the Flags' demise?
A big big flaw of Dazai is his tendency to go full on chess-player mode and do things his way without regard or consultation from others -- and currently, I think one of - if not the best character to potentially call him out is none other than his ex-partner/childhood frenemy/person he's worked with the most, Chuuya Nakahara.
Thanks for reading <3.
(** extra notes that's lowkey unrelated but I want to mention it anyway cause I'm too lazy to make another post **)
it's funny how many people Dazai has callously let die or suffer for the sake of his plans/the optimal solution and yet when it happens to him (Mori -> Oda Sakunosuke), he is absolutely devastated. Maybe poetic justice in a sense (jk, I'm sorry Oda TT). I honestly want to see more emotional Dazai coming up in the future tho <3
I want Atsushi to stop viewing Dazai with rose-colored lenses and actually see the damage Dazai's caused Akutagawa
Also the part about Ranpo and Dazai being able to see through things like hidden evil that no one else can - this was actually inspired by a post from @dazailover420 about Ranpo's personality and how it's actually a coping facade to hide the pain from the things he sees daily (a pretty sad theory tbh). link to that is over here:

thanks for reading and adieu āØ

I still have school tomorrow pls fjrhgregh. t'was a pretty good writing experience though. take care of yourselves.

Summary:
In the distant past, the Guardian of the Milky Way galaxy named Lanancuras began to harbor a desire for more power. Because of his connection to the galaxy, he was able to absorb parts of planets and add them to his strength. As a result, he began invading the worlds he was assigned to protect. In the wake of his destruction, a following of creatures from across the galaxy pledged allegiance to Lanancuras and became known as the Kadrians. Taking notice of his ever-growing power and followers, the other Celestial Guardians confronted him; however, he had become too powerful, and they were defeated. Unable to subdue Lanancuras, the Celestial Guardians each gave up a part of their power and combined it into a single new Guardian, Mushra. In a final desperate attempt, they used Mushra's core by transforming it into a powerful card with which to seal Lanancuras in a prison. The prison was created from the remains of planets that had suffered under Lanancuras' tyranny. Because planets are themselves large beings, their combined strength (along with the power of the card) was able to restrain him. Thus Lanancuras was successfully sealed in a large meteorite.
The meteorite was sent off into the galaxy to be sealed forever. Meanwhile, the way Lanancuras had increased his strength had consequences on the planets of the Milky Way On Earth, around the 22nd century, it was in the shape of a virus that merged with human DNA and destroyed the humans that way. In order to eliminate the virus, scientists worked on combining human DNA with the DNA of animals and other creatures immune to the effects. They succeeded and created a sentient race known as Enterrans (a race of engineered Earthlings) which are based on humans, insects, reptiles, birds, sea creatures, wild beasts, and phantom beasts. Eventually, a cure was found and the human race survived.
However, due to Lanancuras' influence, the Enterrans fought their human creators as well as the robots that worked with the humans, driving the human race to a near extinction state. Luckily, a scientist named Dr. Daigo Tatsuro placed his 4-year-old daughter Yakumo in a sleep chamber in hopes that she would save the human race and find the human sanctuary Shinzo and bring peace back to Earth which was then renamed to Enterra. When the meteor that Lanancuras was imprisoned in struck Earth during the earlier parts of the Human-Enterran War, its fragment had struck an infant Yakumo giving her abilities that she would later discover.

Ukyo Tachibana - samurai shodown
Ukyo is a handsome warrior and an expert Iai swordsman, and uses the "drying pole" as his weapon. But he has a very frail body and his lungs are poised with a sickness. He suffers from the disease Tuberculosis (which is why he carries apples with him). He holds certain feelings towards Odagiri Kei. He searches for the perfect flower to give to her. He helpedĀ HaohmaruĀ defeatĀ AmakusaĀ and was able to gain a flower during the battle. But the flower he gained wasn't the perfect flower. He hears about the perfect flower growing at the center of Makai. He heads to Makai to try to find this flower but was unable to obtain it. Eventually, Kei gets married to her fiance. Ukyo is based off of Sasaki Kojiro, the arch-rival of Miyamoto Musashi.
Ukyo blesses this marriage and prays that Kei would be happy. A few years later, Ukyo's sickness gets worse. He then meets a woman, Osaki, who also has the same sickness as him. Osaki also looks identical to Kei. This makes Ukyo want to at least save Osaki's life. He goes off to search for a cure to the sickness. After searching throughout Japan and Makai, he finds a cure that would save one person. He has Haohmaru give the cure to Osaki to save her.

yaoi scholarā¦.. pls i finished the untamed and word of honor what should my next drama be š (happy endings only pls)
also i wanna know your fav bls. if youāve the time!!
hallo! i didn't mean to let this sit for so long, but i've been using my phone more and don't like answering asks there. i don't actually know many cdramas, but i've got other dramas to rec, if that's alright!
(C/K/J)DRAMAS/LAKORNS:
sotus & sotus s (thai)*
history3: trapped (taiwanese)
seven days (japanese)*
manner of death (thai)*
restart after coming back home (japanese)*
together with me (thai)
long time no see (korean)
semantic error (korean)*
you can watch 2moons2 for the full story, but honestly, the original 2moons mingkit cut is everything to me (thai)*
*based off novel/manga/manhwa
20 of my fav bls under the cut :)
initially, i was going to call it my "top 10", but it's not my top ten, it's just favs that i really love or think you (sara) would also enjoy. so it's just 20 "random" favs. if you (general) want, i can upload the 200+ long list and even include "reviews" of my favourites, but i'll only do that upon request. also here's my blanket rec for mxtx's works. svsss is my fav. i'm very easy. thank you <3
20 OF MY FAV BLS:
sotus is very dear to my heart. i watched it right before i went to university, so it really set that mood for me lol it's not a perfect story, the audio is shit at some parts, and the acting was sometimes stiff, but when the show hit, my fucking god did it HIT. of course i roped all my friends into watching it. it was based on a novel, but the novel didn't particularly stand out to me (sorry). there's also a manga now (3 vols) but i'm just loyal to the show, y'know? it also has a sequel, and that one made one of my friend cry (i actually had to pause the show lol), but for me, the first season is what's rly stellar. (lakorn / rewatches: 4? 5? a lot?)
sasaki and miyano by syou harusono is such an easy read, with lovely art, cute characters, and the softest, sweetest romance. it makes me feel like i've been hit by a car, then the car backed up and drove over me again. sasaki is the light of my life (and also if i looked like him, i'd never shut up. and i project just a little bit too bc oh he just like me fr), and everyday i think about making him my pfp. i owe syou harusono my life. i want to say more about this bc it rly is my fav manga perhaps of all time but that also means i can't say more about it LOL (manga / rereads: 6)
the cat proposed (bakeneko katatte sourou) by hayane dento is quite possibly the best manga i've ever read. the writing is so beautiful, and it's a really relatable and inspiring story for me. plus it's got catboys. *motions to my dnp catboy pfp* but in all seriousness, it's a genuinely great story that squeezes my heart and leaves me in tears (manga / rereads: 5)
doukyuusei is a certified bl classic. i've not read the entire manga series, but i've got the anime film saved to my laptop. that was another thing i roped all my friends into watching, and yes, everyone was gagged (animanga / rewatches: 4?)
koimonogatari by tagura tohru is incomplete, and the "love" part isn't there yet, but my fucking god. i think i just picked it up for funsies at the bookstore, but man was i unprepared. it's not a fun read by any means, nor is it easy, it's actually pretty brutal, but it's a good story, so i felt i should include it. (it is one of my faves) (manga / rereads: none bc i will kill myself.)
summer of you (kimi wa natsu no naka) by furuya nagisa changed me. it was one of those manga that was in my to read list for a really long time, but i just never did it. when i finally did, i totally regret putting it off. i think i cried. it has a sequel (summer with you), and that was good too, but that first one just really got me (manga / rereads: 1)
fools by yeongha has an art style i will forever be jealous of. the original, that is. i'm sure the remastered version is great, and probably the one i should read, but i'm just way too attached to the original and the art is (in my opinion) way better. the story is fun and sweet, and i read it at another formative time in my life. *jazz hands* (manhwa / rereads: 3)
my darling signed in by dimang and new lung. if there's one thing about me, i'm gonna read a video game catfish story. this manhwa is so fucking ridiculous, but i love it. it actually gets pretty dark, which took me by surprise the first time i read it, but it's not between the main cp, if you're worried about that (manhwa / rereads: 3)
dasadanan by herb mandu also has just lovely art. i can just stare at it for ages bc i'm so obsessed. also there's side gl, and i love those two girls so damn much. the story is very easy to read, fluffy, and it's just good feelings all around. it also has some really silly extras. (manhwa / rereads: 4)
history3: trapped is so... it is also dear to me. the main couple is funny and cute; however, it's the side couple that really gets to me. they're so ridiculous and fun, and the actor for zhao zi is an acrobat? does acrobatic dance? i'm not sure exactly, but they wanted to showcase that so he'd just be doing some random gymnast shit for no reason and it's so funny. and jack was made in a lab for me, so. y'know. (drama / rewatches: 2, about to be 3)
glasses cloth and playlist by gwak jonpil was recommended to me by a friend i believe, and i'm so glad i read it. it's another easy read and also very ridiculous, but when i say something is "ridiculous", that's usually a huge compliment. i LOLed at, like, every other panel. the main cp is so damn ridiculous, and i adore them. (manhwa / rereads: 1)
starting with a lie by liang azha has the softest art i've ever seen. that manhua is like a warm hug, if a warm hug also had you gritting your teeth and clenching your fists because GODDAMN JUST GET TOGETHER FOR REAL ALREADY! i love it. oh, but i don't like qiu tian. sorry. (manhua / rereads: 2)
how to survive as a villain by yi yi yi yi is... look, i'm sure it has flaws, right? every story has flaws, but wherever they are, i did not see them. i mean, it's a little bit ridiculous at times, but again, "ridiculous", and the mc was transmigrated into a once-good now-trashy harem novel. and he's also smart but oblivious. bound to be a little bit silly. but also this novel ripped out my heart and stomped on it. and i thought it wouldn't happen with the manhua, but i cried then too. what the hell. i really enjoyed this story, and i think it's what got me into transmigration stories in general :P (danmei / rereads: 2)
a shoulder to cry on by dongmul. okay. OKAY. this is not a "happy" story to most. also the ending without the extras/epilogue is bittersweet to ambiguous. the issue here is that I LOVE ENDINGS LIKE THAT!!!!!!!!! this story is so damn good and i like the art a lot and god, some of the quotes? every time i reach certain scenes i have to pause and stare at the wall because no fucking way. it's just too good. i should go ahead and warn that the couple doesn't have the healthiest of dynamics and their relationship starts bc one of them lies and accuses the other of sexual harassment, so. i'm just letting you know now. but i let myself have toxic yaoi. as a treat. tbh to me it's not that bad, but i know everyone has different intensity levels, so. (manhwa / rereads: 3)
never understand by bbong is an... interesting read. arguably more toxic yaoi, and everyone at times can be kind of awful and annoying, but i think that's fun. sorry. i vividly remember reading this for the first time. for some reason. also, as with a good amount of manhwa that i read in my more formative years, i like this art style. (manhwa / rereads: 1)
semantic error by j soori and angy kim is a lot more graphic and hardcore (sex-wise) than the kdrama, which makes sense, but like... DAMN! my toxic trait is that every three panels i pause and go "hey does anyone else think these guys look like jaedo?" and the sniper that's supposed to shoot me any time i bring up rps lets me live because i'm objectively right. the characters are so damn infuriating, but i like watching car crashes, so it's alright. plus the art is good and, well, i never said i don't ship jaedo. *glass next to me explodes after a bullet cuts through it* whatever! (rereads: none bc it ended not that long ago. but i'll probably reread it soon)
no.6 by asano atsuko and here comes all the haters being like, "oh, that's not bl!" "that's more than bl!" "[some more dumb shit i don't care about]!" suck my pussy. i don't care. i loooove the novels and hope we get a printed official english translation. people are right to say the romance isn't the focus, but it's there, and honestly, i love plotty shit. i've heard it's supposed to be the "happy version" of banana fish or whatever the fuck, but damn if that's not a fucked up version of happy. i sobbed my fucking eyes out (novel & animanga / rereads: 2)
snow fairy by serizawa tomo. i'm not gonna lie, i don't remember this story, but on my big list it has a heart next to it, and i feel like i cried when i read it. i've said i've cried about like half of these, and i cry when i see something cute or when i think about my blorbo or when a song is pretty, so that means nothing. but this one really got to me! i think it was just a simple story with lovely art. it aches, maybe. actually, i've just found my initial review, which reads: "im so miserable....." (rereads: none, but i'd like to reread it asap)
bj alex by mingwa. insert loud and disappointed "ooh" from the crowd bc really, phil-lesterfan? i thought you were a scholar? with taste? LOOK. i know this is a basic manhwa, and i couldn't give a rat's ass about the side cp, but ahn jiwon somehow became pookie. it is agonising, though, 'cause like i said, i don't care about the side cp, but oh my fucking god, it feels like everyone else only cares about them. shoot me. also the side cp is into bdsm, but you can skip over their shit honestly. (rereads: 2)
aien catharsis by oshima kamome was another manga that'd been in my tbr list for ages. i really like how the story feels. aaaaand i just reread it and ah. i see why it affected me. (if you can guess what line stuck out to me, lmk, i'd love to hear it heh) it's historical fiction and has lovely art. tw for sexual assault, but it's not between the cp and it's also not shown. (manga / rereads: 2)
like i said, i have a lot more favs, so if anyone wants the full list, just ask. or if you don't want the full list, i can give rec lists for certain genres or just manga or just danmei, etc, etc. i know i'm in batman hell right now (ah. western yaoi....), but i've been fujoshing since i was like... ten. okay this is of course way longer than it should be. hope u enjoy if you read any of these ^_^ <3
#ask#it was SO HARD not to give honorable mentions#bc it's like. well . it shouldn't be a mention if it's another fav#anyway i'm sorry for having questionable tastes and liking unhealthy pairings. well. i'm not sorry but i'll say it anyway

Soshiro looked over a now reopened file that had been closed by the Japanese Government for over 2 Years now.
The Gunslinger Incident
A Major Satellite that had been developed and owned by MAGAMI Corporation. Though the group as of now had been dissolved and what was left was taken under the wing of a new Owner, Kurt Sasaki. Though he usually went by his Psuedo-Name Lucky Mouse. Even called the new company that.
The Public including Soshiro had been told that the Satellite had gone rouge. The AI had a major failing and had become unresponsive, too outside remote control and outside communication.
This was a problem because the Satellite had been used for the Virtual Reality Areas and Forums of both the public and major companies.
For about a month the problem with Gunslinger persisted before the MAGAMI Corporation and Japanese Government said that Gunslinger was destroyed when it fell into Earth's Orbit and crashed into the Pacific Ocean.
And for many other like Soshiro that was the end of Gunslinger
That was until Sleuth dropped a bit of a bombshell.
That the Gunslinger's lost of control and destruction wasn't because of faulty AI and crashing into Earth's orbit. No it was because of a villainous Group of Digimon called A.o.A that sought too create the most powerful Digimon and control it for there own plans.
Though it all ended in disaster when A.o.A Leader created Snatchmon who rebelled and consumed the Leader, Lord Megadeath.
After which Snatchmon went on too merge with Gunslinger and become Galacticmon and than tried too merge with the Earth and become Gaiamon. A theoretical Digimon that would surpass all Digimon.
Sleuth went too confront Galacticmon and deleted the Digimon too stop it's fusion of Earth.
That story was completely insane too Soshiro and the others but than again so was Sleuth and the Digimon. So Soshiro decided too see what the government knew and the files he had told quite the story.
Data readings and communications that showed that something had taken over the Master Console aboard Gunslinger. Rumors and various name coming up including A.o.A and Vemmon, the Rookie stage of Snatchmon that cannibalize each other too become stronger. And the major surge of Data readings that surged throughout neighboring Satellites.
All this information locked away which told a much different story than what was told too the public. And it all lined up perfectly with what Sleuth said.
Soshiro just leaned back into his chair and could only mutter one thing
Shoshiro: Holy Shitā¦
When Soshiro realizes a child with minimal fighting experience outside of their Digimon, at the time, saved the world. The context would be extra hilarious if Sleuth just mentions it on the van ride to base. Everyone thinks it's a crazy story by Baalmon to pass the time but nope!
Plus Sleuth does have to introduce the very Digimon team who helped them for all their adventures rather than just this one.

AND ON DDT
going forward with this new management style, and knowing damn well that shigs wonāt headline ryogoku, i gotta be real and forthright- Sasaki needa win King of DDT and then go on to headline the biggest show of the year at Sumo Hall, or else weāre gonna have big problems. we drew one of the most abysmal Korakuen crowds after Judgement, the mothafuckin champion Ace didnāt get a single streamer as a welcome greeting, while his jobbin stablemate got like fifteen.Ā weāve been in stagnancy hell since peter pan 2017 ended. shigs has been so blatantly obvious as a placeholder champion that itās actually getting more and more depressing to see how fucking over and popular and absolutely wild the crowd is for the DAMNATION/Harashima/Shuten Doji thottery that has elevated the kayfabe and made the Extreme belt a secondary thing.
AS IT SHOULD BE, BECAUSE THIS IS DRAMATIC DREAM TEAM WRESTLING AND STORYTELLING REIGNS SUPREME. FOR SOME FUCKASS REASON, SOMEONE IN MANAGEMENT FORGOT THAT THE MAN THEY PUT IN CHARGE OF CARRYING THE PROMOTION ON HIS BACK WAS THE WRESTLING EQUIVALENT OF A TWELVE YEAR OLD. YES, TAKESHITA IS A WRESTLING NOVICE. THIS AINT UP FOR DISCUSSION, THESE ARE FACTS. HEāS BEEN HERE SIX YEARS, AND HEāS ALREADY LEGEND STATUS IN A PROMOTION WHOSE ACTUAL LEGENDS ARE ALL OVER FORTY AND INCLUDE A FAT, GAY MAN, A DUDE WHO TELLS IMPROV STORIES FEATURING A FOX, AN IMMORTAL SMILE PUPPY, AND A GUY WHO GIVES POWERPOINT PRESENTATIONS. AND SHUJI, BUT HEāS AWAY ON EXCURSION ATM, BUT WE LOVE A FORMER DEATHMATCH KING AND DAMNATION PET.
AS OPPOSED to whatever the fuck weāre supposed to prove with the Beast King and a pre-evolved hoss who only recently graduated DNA himself. neither have a storyline even remotely tangible enough to draw the kind of crowd endo/take and shuji/take did. fucking forget the 10k hara pulled in back in march 2017.Ā but at least- at least endo/takeās fallout Korakuen drew almost 1.5k. judgementās korakuen this year didnāt even draw a measly 1k.
weāve wasted ten whole ass months fucking with any chance of an absolute DAMNATION reign, and itās criminal that we are still waiting on the best heel in the promotion to get one over after having been one of the hottest acts in 2017. you canāt even fucking deny the magic being made in the ring, on the mic, and on fucking twitter when you put together four (now five, with soma) personalities so insanely different from each other in both personality and wrestling style. DAMNATION out here putting food on the table and smiles on folksā faces!!! theyāre chaotic evils, and yet theyāre the greasy bois who are getting the crowd to cackle long enough to forget that the main event scene is wack, and that the lower midcard a mess!!! also, kota umeda has no tangible kayfabe to invest in, maki ito was robbed!!!
at the end of the day, weāre going down a dark path if we continue to hype up this sleazy, almost blatant imitation of more wrestling-specific promotions who oftentimes are not as kind to its own kayfabe as DDT has been. NOAH has one of the best rosters in japan rn, and the only reason the companyās not dead is bc the GHC brand has yet to perish. at this rate, Hara gon have to wrestle into his fifties to save this godforsaken company. they are running my mans dry! he needs his fucking rest!
my only hope is that Judgement, April Fool, and the crowd turning on Takeshita in favor of Shigehiro at mothafuckin Max Bump was a lesson- an actual lesson in how not to mess up an otherwise good thing. and also- the numbers. jesus christ these numbers. im not even gonna start on why robbing Shuji at Judgement was the final nail in the coffin, BUT YāALL KNOW WHAT IāM TALMBOUT, THAT DAMN CROWD CAME FOR SHUJI ISHIKAWA, AND WE WAS ROBBED!Ā
p.p.s: @ DDT, pls let endo and take resume their lovestory, they drew 5.9k last year for sumo hall, they deserve to headline at least a korakuen, donāt heterosplain this love away just cuz u got acquired by some big name corporation.

#ddtpro#konosuke takeshita#harashima#tetsuya endo#shuji ishikawa#i have had IT!!!#i just fucking compared the numbers on whim and holy fucking GOD they are bad#oh my god#based Sasaki save us#come back Shuji#pussy up Endo#y'all gotta save the company#real talk#Wrestling

Did you know Sasori is only a point below the two highest scores in Naruto? (Jiraiya and Itachi at 35.5)
Based on the amount of category wins, Sasori is the winner, this is backed up by the fact that Sasori counters Rini almost entirely. Despite being the winner of the Genjutsu category, it matters little if he is almost completely immune! (unless his core is physically touched) Taijutsu is also a near-failure considering physical attacks don't effect him either.
How could she ever win a fight against him? š¤

Hey hey, you got anything else about Deshi youād like to share š¤ I honestly really like his vibe (Itās usually like that for a lot light haired characters in my case š
)
I was trying to figure out what to say about him. I just find him so cute sometimes because of the little side stories my muse gives me, so then I thought about sharing a little side story about him.
For context, I have an editor friend (not professional) that thinks Deshi's intellectually stupid, so I was trying to think of something that proves he's not, because he can be quite ingenious sometimes. So here it is. Storytime!
Deshi's friend is based off a friend of Deo's, in a way.
So Deshi loves videogames, which most should know by now, and this is inspired by the types of videogames I like, which some may not know. One major difference is that I'm a fan of horror games and Deshi is not, lol. He just can't handle them, which only makes him that much more endearing to me.
Anyway, when his dad disappeared, his mom got a large sum of money meant to take care of her and Deshi and Sasaki (his little sister) until college, so she doesn't work. This does make funds a little limited though and videogames can get expensive. To still be able to get what he wants, he's patient, saves his money, and then gets things as cheaply as possible. (Yes, he steals games online.) He got the idea from his unnamed friend to build a computer from scratch because the gaming computers/laptops can get a little pricey.
So that's exactly what he did.
He learned how to put together a computer, constantly asking his friend for help of course, and eventually built it from the bottom up, a really good gaming computer, for much cheaper than it would've been on the market. This is why he's a PC gamer. He's very proud of it and protective of it (since Sasaki is constantly pranking him and unlike Karma, her pranks are maliciously destructive) and his mom nor his sister have any idea how hard it was for him to make it. Like, they just think he can tinker around with it for an hour and it'll be fixed. š
So one day, Sasaki actually damages it really badly and Deshi goes to his friend and it takes 3 months and all his miniscule savings to fix it. Mom thinks he was being dramatic, but finally decides to tell Sasaki that the computer is off limits and to just not mess with it ever because "Deshi's sensitive". *glare
After this whole debacle, his friend donates his old monitor (it's a very nice monitor, btw) to Deshi and moves away. They're both kind of pretty bad at keeping in contact, but they try. And that's how he got his computer and became a PC gamer!
Deshi was around 10 when he decided to start building his computer and 12 when he finished. His friend moved away when he was about 13 or 14.
So yeah, definitely not intellectually challenged. š£ And Deshi's actually really good at finding ways around things. This comes up a lot in the Second Fragment while learning magic. He just has this kind of "how do I make this work?" mentality when it comes to doing things.
Bonus!
He's normally the guy that takes things a little to seriously and is overly cautious in ways (product of his evil little sister's constant pranks) but he's surprisingly playful when it comes to experimenting with stuff to understand it and make it work. Here's a summary of a scene in Second Fragment.
He's trying to understand his limits with magic while working with Master Diette and decides that the best way is to just use magic until he runs out, which causes him to faint. "Ooo, that's bad." Master Diette says, also wanting to test Deshi's limits out of curiosity. "We can't let Master Key know or we'll both be in trouble." And then allows him do this. But you know, forcing yourself to faint just isn't a good idea. š Don't worry, he ends up being fine.
Deshi's nonchalance to danger while experimenting comes from the amount of times he was electrocuted while building his computer. Not super common, but it happened. He made the lights in the house flicker once and has burned through more than one motherboard, trying to figure it all out.
Thanks for the ask! š

"Man fears death and yet, at the same time, man is drawn to death. Death is endlessly consumed by men in cities and in literature. It is a singular event in one's life that none may reverse. That is what I desire."
Character Analysis: Dazai Osamu
Age: 22 || Ability: No Longer Human
I've done a lot of research concerning Dazai's character because of how complex he'd initially appeared to me. It is still a question as to what his personality type is; some say he's an ENTP while others argue that he's an INTJ, and his enneagram would most likely be 7w8 (The Realist), but that isn't the thing I'm going to focus on.
According to general databases and fan analyses, his temperament is dominantly melancholic. A person's temperament is basically how they react to and live in this world. For those of you not interested in such details, don't worry, I'll get to my point.
The melancholic behaviour is characterised by individualism, self-reliance, and reservation. People of the melancholic temperament are described as having been overcome with sorrow and depressive thoughts, which is beyond the feeling of "just being sad."
Nonetheless, they are generally calm beings, with a tendency to hide how they truly feel by keeping their composure, even in events that demand severe reaction otherwise. Other aspects of melancholic temperaments is that they are absorbed in the cruelty and tragedy of this world, and tend to get lost in their thoughts.
Sound familiar?
Dazai is seen to be as the comic relief of the adaptation, and he'd never fail to bring about a sense of lightheartedness to relieve the serious moments; we all know that for sure. Remember the time both him and Kunikida found Nobuko Sasaki in that godforsaken hospital, and how Kunikida asked him about his opinion on the current state of affairs?
But, despite having developed a calm and serene personality, Dazai's dark side was more apparent during the Dark Era. There was a type of intimidating and arrogant flair evident in his behaviour, or even on his face. It was the type of demeanour that came off cold and terrifying to the rather unlucky people he dealt with. In a moment's notice, they could literally die by his hands. And I believe most of them usually did. It was during this time, he was more brutal and vicious. He lacked remorse. Plus, Dazai's suicidal ideations were more dense during this Era, and his suicidal tendencies did not do anything to alleviate the depth of how dark his character was posed to be.
Side note: Unfortunately, people misunderstand this 'depressed' part of Dazai; they minimise his character so much to the point that people use only a single word to describe him: suicidal. He is, in fact, so much more than that. I'll elaborate more on that in a while.
"Hey, Odasaku, do you know why I joined the Mafia? I joined the Mafia because of an expectation I had. I thought if I was close to death and violenceāclose to people giving in to their urges and desires, then I would be able to see the inner nature of humankind up close. I thought if I did thatā¦ I would be able to find somethingāa reason to live."
Dazai's approach to life is that of an aimless soul, weary of the world's oppressions and exhausted from the concept of living itself. Nevertheless, what he said above about having an expectation made me realise something: he had a goal, which he wasn't that enthusiastic about achievingāseeking for a reason to carry on with life. So he joined the Mafia.
And there, he met Oda Sakunosuke.
Despite how resilient Dazai carried himself to be (especially during the Dark Era), this specific excerpt stands in direct opposition of how he effortlessly embodied all things daunting:
"With every step I take, I feel as though the earth has opened up into a bottomless pit as I fall endlessly. As Dazai pointed to his forehead and approached the muzzle, the look on his face ā like that of a child about to burst into tears ā had already been branded upon my eyes."
- quoted by Oda Sakunosuke, excerpt from Dazai Osamu and the Dark Era Light Novel.
When I read this, it sent my mind into a spiral of despair and confusion. It was so vague, yet it made so much sense. Dazai was desperate to escape from this life, but part of him seemed to live in conflict with his desire for death. I won't elaborate more on this, because this specific excerpt has personal meaning to me, as I'd expect it to have for others as well; so I wouldn't want to ruin anyone else's perception on it.
Back to my point: Odasaku was one of the only characters who managed to interpret the complexity of Dazai's mindset and was able to compartmentalise the specific details of his persona that made Dazai the way he was. Oda knew that Dazai wasn't just suicidal.
"For most things in life, it's harder to succeed than fail. Wouldn't you agree? That's why I should attempt suicide rather than commit it! Committing suicide is difficult, but it should be relatively easier to fail at attempting suicide!"
Others boasted about how he was just a suicidal maniac, and that was only because of how good Dazai was at concealing his own feelings whilst flamboyantly priding himself in new, risky techniques, which he sometimes elaborated on. But Oda, on the other hand, saw through his jokes, and empathised with his friend, never wanting to ever barge into his vulnerability without Dazai's permission, but still trying to be there for him.
"Listen. You told me if you put yourself in a world of violence and bloodshed, you might be ale to find a reson to live. You won't find it. You should know that. Whether you're on the side that takes lives or the side that saves them, nothing beyond your own expectations will happen. Nothing in this world can fill the hole that is your loneliness. You will wander the darkness for eternity."
Notice how Odasaku recognised Dazai's despair, before Dazai even dared to acknowledge his very own emotions? That was why, at Oda's death, he took the initiative to uncover Dazai's bandaged eye to show him that there was no use in concealing his feelings anymore.
Odasaku's last words to Dazai was to "be on the side that saves people," for he was aware that even though Dazai didn't believe there was a clear distinction between good and evil, he thought that perhaps Dazai would find meaning in his life, even if it was just a little bit of purpose.
In Dead Apple, we briefly relive this moment, but I'll write more on that some other time.
And when Dazai joined the ADA, he loses that dark side to him. No, wait, let me rephrase that: he loses a part of that dark side to him. He eliminated the raw sense of bitterness against the world from his face, and instead, he is seen to be a little more passive, and a little more adaptive. No doubt, he still does explicitly state his desire to die, but his wishes are very specific, if you know what I mean.
And a few years later, his journey with Atsushi began.
Atsushi and Dazai's relationship is just one of a kind. I think it isn't a matter of whether Atsushi needed Dazai, or whether Dazai needed Atsushi. It's the fact that they both needed each other. It's the way they both worked hand in hand, and how they sustained each other in ways they were lacking.

The two were polar opposites, but they had a tender kind of warmth embedded in their protectiveness for each other. Atsushi was just as lost as Dazai, but somehow, they worked together just fine. It was like their duality was meant to be. It was the type of symbiotic relationship, where their care for each other was implied, but very deep.
Does this also sound familiar... perhaps, in relation to Dazai's friendship with Odasaku?
Side note: Oda and Atsushi have the same enneagrams, which is Type 2, 'The Helper.'
There is a sort of balance that is brought about by two opposites. Odasaku taught Dazai many things, and I believe Oda learned a lot about a man's life from the way Dazai lived out his life with the innate desire to die. Atsushi sought for the right to live, while Dazai searched for a reason to live; in addition, Dazai validated Atsushi's feelings, and Atsushi was able to acknowlegde the amount of pain Dazai was going through.
Despite how Dazai's perspectives and beliefs stood in contrast with those of Oda's and Atsushi's, a type of inseparable bond connected the man who no longer felt like he was human, to the people who was the most human.
No Longer Human in the Japanese romaji is 'Ningen Shikkaku.' Ningen means "human," and Shikkaku means "disqualified." The late author, Dazai Osamu, wrote the book No Longer Human. He had gone through the rough throes of trauma and wrote this book as a semi-autobiography, whose plot was centred around a man who faked happiness, for he was tainted by the truth that everyone around him was fake themselves. He turned his life into a joke in order to protect himself from the delusions of this world.
This brings us back to the melancholic temperament, where a person was too deeply immersed in the sad truths of reality and the world itself.
And that's what Dazai's character and ability is based on: being disqualified as a human being, because he wasn't well-versed with what being human was actually like. The fabrications of being human sprung up all around him, but he wasn't willing to be fooled by how ingenuine the world truly was.
āI am convinced that human life is filled with many pure, happy, serene examples of insincerity, truly splendid of their kindāof people deceiving one another without (strangely enough) any wounds being inflicted, of people who seem unaware even that they are deceiving one another.ā
- excerpt from Dazai Osamu's No Longer Human.
People who don't feel human emotions or don't react to circumstances the way humans do have a variety of ways of explaining how they feel inhuman. They are highly intelligent, which separates them from the average class of humankind, since they've analysed and untangled the truths of life in order to attain understanding, which they value above all else. But, this understanding of the world and its painful truths results in a deep kind of sorrow, which only a few people can seem to empathise with in order to help them out with that burden.
āPain and suffering are always inevitable for a large intelligence and a deep heart. The really great men must, I think, have great sadness on earth.ā
-excerpt from Fyodor Dostoevsky's Crime and Punishment.
Don't you think that this deep sorrow that lies in the heart of the intelligent, makes them the most human of all? They're too human, to the point where they don't feel human. Perhaps, it is a type of defence mechanism, where the mind numbs the heart from feeling normal human emotion, because logically breaking down such concepts is easier than feeling them. But it comes at a price. The heart is willing to recklessly comprehend and fathom any sort of emotion, including pain in its true form, but the mind bears more pain in understanding such concepts because it seeks to decipher every single agonising detail of how complex human emotions are. The mind thinks, the heart feels. There is a clear distinguishing factor between the two. Whether feeling hurts more than thinking, or thinking hurts more than feeling, or whether both these processes work hand-in-hand to make up the reality of life itself, is up for an individual to decide.
Only a few people can seem to empathise with intelligent people who are deeply sad at heart, in order to help them out. As for Dazai, it was Atsushi and Oda. They never took away the pain, but they made him grow from it; it worked vice versa, too.
Of course, there are less tedious and more appealing aspects to the concept of Dazai's intelligence. Dazai was seen as a threat to his enemies because of how manipulation and his keen skill of deduction made up how sharp his mind was. Besides, no one could commit '138 murders, 312 cases of extortion, and 625 cases of fraud, along with various and sundry other crimes,' without having a certain level of intelligence, right?
Dazai had the moral alignment of 'chaotic neutral.' He was more focused on using his intellect to achieve the desired end results of a predicament, and he wasn't afraid to use the wrong means. A famous example was when he deflated the airbags of Ango Sakaguchi's car in order to gain the assured protection of Kyouka Izumi.
Justice is a weapon. It can be used to cause harm, but it cannot protect or save others.
Another example was when he blew up Chuuya Nakahara's car.
Just kidding. That was just a simple pastime (ļ¼ć»ā ć»)
His moral alignment points to what Oda said about him: the part where he mentioned that Dazai didn't really see any difference between good and evil. As long as his ends were achieved, especially if it were in the benefit of his fellow colleagues, he wasn't afraid to exploit, threaten, or endanger others' wellbeing. Because, at the end of the day, the end result triumphed the morally bad methods utilised to achieve it, correct? He always had a reason for his motives and actions, even if those actions were evil and inexcusable.
(eg. action: the psychological abuse he bestowed upon Akutagawa Ryunosuke.
motive: to enable him to hone his own ability favourably and to curb his arrogance)
But the consequences of one's actions will always catch up with a person, no matter what heights they've achieved.
Okay, we're reaching the end of my rambling very soon, I promise.
āIf I had to go, Iād like to go out just as beautifully.ā
āIād prefer you donāt go.ā
This part of the post is highly inspired by iwachuwu!!
An important factor of Dazai's development is highlighted BSD Wan's episode 10:
I'd like to appreciate that this scene focuses on how much Dazai actually means to Atsushi. When Atsushi responds with "I'd prefer you don't go," he said it lightheartedly for he thought Dazai was joking. But he wasn't. And once Atsushi absorbed the fact that Dazai meant what he said, he was overwhelmed with anguish at the thought of ever losing Dazai. Dazai, on the other hand, had a sense of longing on his expression. There was that look of pure desperation on his face. He was so desperate, yet he knew he couldn't act on his desperation due to a promise he'd made to someone dear to him. But keep in mind, Dazai is unpredictable, so we can never be sure of what's going on in that headspace of his.
Nevertheless, this time, Atsushi recognised Dazai's suffering, as no one usually cared to do, and Dazai didn't put in any effort to hide how he truly felt, as he habitually did. And this mutual emotional connection happened countless times during all the times Oda spent with Dazai as well.
To summarise,
Dazai's character had been carefully wired and patterned out in a way only a few would put in the effort to understand. Dazai was more than just suicidal; he was a being wandering from place to place with no specific aim. He was too smart for his own good. Dazai understood too well of how the world worked and deemed it void of any sort of hope.
Side note: Yes, the truth does come at a price, but it all comes down to how a person understands the truth. As for Dazai (both character and the author he was based off upon), well, it was quite tragic. But that's the way it is for some people, I suppose. But everyone has a different path to travel on, remember that.
His transition from working with the Port Mafia to the Armed Detective Agency was proof of how well-executed his character development was. It was two different personas morphed into what he is today: a womaniser with questionable morals a person who is still standing even after the rough refining process endowed upon him by the realities of this life.
However, he had people along the way come and teach him a thing or two, which perhaps made his life a little more interesting. Perhaps these people were passing clouds that hid the void out of sight for just a moment, and Dazai was always seen to be grasping on to these moments, and letting them go whenever it was time to let go.
His outlook on life makes his intellect look all the more intriguing. It shows that not only does his intelligence contribute to his own wit and shrewdness, but also the practical sense of realism that explains how tired he is of the concept of living because of the truths there are to bear.
However he's enduring the pain right now is by far the most bravest thing a person could commit themselves to doing. It takes courage, and it takes strength, but only a few would ever take the time to recognise such efforts.
Dazai has one of the most beautiful character developments, but I do hope that the development doesn't reach its end anytime soon.

āNow I have neither happiness nor unhappiness.
Everything passes.
That is the one and only thing that I have thought resembled a truth in the society of human beings where I have dwelled up to now as in a burning hell.
Everything passes.ā

So, inspired by Shuttershockyās own character opinions, I think Iāll start doing my own.
And no, Iām not doing Mordred first. She comes later.
Nah, considering a certain Rulerās recent reveal, I think Iāll talk about a certain Shirou-face.
So quick overview of Angra Mainju-
Heās not actually the Zoroastrian god of Evil. No, heās actually more like Sasaki Kojiro- The guy who the myth of Angra Mainju is BASED off of. He was just some ordinary villager who drew the shortest of straws and was used as a scapegoat for the sins of his villagers, tortured for decades until he died of old age. Because of this, he has a pretty nasty hatred of humanity. Which you would think would disqualify him from being a Heroic Spirit (I mean, logically who would consider him a hero?) but itās said that his torture put the villagers at ease, meaning he did technically do a heroic deed and thus was preserved by the Throne of Heroes.
In the Third Holy Grail War, the Einsberns tried to summon the evil god but, for a multitude of reasons that include it not existing in the first place, they got him instead. Problem? The guy isnāt a normal hero, heās a village boy who got tortured. He doesnāt have any special powers or even a proper Noble Phantasm. So of course, he gets his ass kicked. But thing is, he was so weak the Grail thought he was a human and thus tried to grant his wish.
Which was to actually BECOME All The Worldās Evil.
And so the Grail tried to do it...but things got fucky. So the next two wars are basically just attempts at bring his wish to life. He...kind of exists here? Issue is that in Fate/Zero and Fate/Stay Night, Angra Mainju is more a force of nature or a being of pure evil rather than the tortured village boy he actually is. So for simplicityās sake AND due to how radically differentĀ āAll The Worldās Evilā is- Iāll just skip over his supposed presence in those two and move on.
Despite his wished for formās destruction in Fate/Stay Night, Angra Mainju survived. In fact, his time asĀ āAll The Worldās Evilā turned him into a proper Heroic Spirit, giving him an actual Noble Phantasm and actual status as a Heroic Spirit. Here, he gains a sort of obsession with granting wishes. So he goes around looking for someoneās wish to grant. During this time, he finds Bazett Frega McRemitz (AKA The ACTUAL Master of Cu Chulanin before Kirei decided to do what he does best: Fuck people over) dying, wishing not to die. And thus, Angra Mainju does his best to keep her alive. For 6 months, this meant keeping her alive but in a vegetative state.Ā
After being discovered by Caren Hortensia (Kireiās daughter. ... This is kind of important later), this meant keeping her alive AND sustaining her consciousness. To do this, he creates Fate/Hollow Ataraxiaās four day loop (the same length of time he survived his war.) Through this, he tricks Bazett into thinking that sheās participating in the Fifth Holy Grail War. Issue being, Angra knows little more than jackshit about said war so what ends up happening is that he uses the Third Grail War structure with Fifth Grail War players as stand-ins. He is also only active with Bazett at night, the catch being that the person that the player thinks theyāre controlling (Shirou) is actually an unaware Angra, living out his own wish of a normal life.
At first, Angra is just being selfish and indulging himself during this time. However, over time, his interactions with the people in Shirouās life, Shirouās own influence over him (as having lost his identity, he effectively needs to adopt anotherās to exist) and, most importantly, his new found relationship with Bazett and Caren causes him to try and end the four day loop. This going against his Masterās wishes, as she fears that she will die due to finding out about the loop and losing Avenger, who is assumed to become nothing once again. However, he manages to convince her by revealing he really did save her life and that she had to move on. So at the end, he and Bazett race to opposite ends of the Grail, Bazett back to life and Angra Mainju embracing oblivion once again.
So...yeah. Pretty heavy stuff even with me skipping some stuff.
We only really learn about Angra Mainju in Fate/Hollow Ataraxia, since thatās where we truly meet him as a person. And at the beginning...heās not a good person. Avengers in general are known for being highly destructive, malicious and dangerous Servants because their Class effectively puts them on edge at all times, constant consumed by hate. As the first Avenger, Angra both embodies this and subverts it at the same time.
Yes he is consumed by hate. ... But said hate is not an emotional state like other Avengers. His hate is his nature by the point we meet him. Meaning he isnāt on edge like his fellows, he isnāt clouded by extreme emotion. For all his cynicism and malice, heās by far the calmest and most rational Avenger we have seen so far. Which makes some of his actions (like killing a family to draw out his enemies) come across as even worse than normal since he isnāt openly insane. Even beyond this, Angra is a sarcastic asshole who loves fucking with people and being insulting.
However, as things go on, as he lives the life of Shirou Emiya and the Servant of Bazett, he gets better. Sure, heās still rude as all hell. But the guy does show he cares about Bazett and thinks about her well being. He falls in love with Caren, who does love him back (if youāre wondering how: I believe itās implied Caren suffers from the same condition Kirei did in regards to empathy. So makes sense sheād love an embodiment of hate and vengence) and he did enjoy living as Shirou, revealing that beneath the hate that became his nature- Heās just a normal guy who got SEVERELY fucked over. Hell, when Medusa was on the verge of morphing into Gorgon, Angra walks by and talks to her. He gives her a speech on what it means to be a monster and ends up helping her prevent her transformation, even though having her become a monster would help him make people suffer (and maybe even someone who understands him, as Gorgon is an Avenger herself.)
Just as his lack of emotional distress makes his evil actions worse, it also means heās capable of change and becoming good. He learns love and care despite having lived a life no one could even comprehend, forced into a Class that is more like a curse than an honor. Despite his hatred of humanity, he still believes in it somewhat. He adopts some of Shirouās heroic traits through living his life. And at the very end, this jackass who started things off by killing random innocents...ends up making the ultimate sacrifice, one where he gains nothing but loses everything, where he really doesnāt want to do it...all because he came to care for Bazett.
Iāll admit, I sobbed at the end.
Now, Angra isnāt really used in any serious manner after this. He appears in the Accel/Zero and Christmas in the Underworld events...mostly as jokes. However, I would like to note his Bond 10 Craft Essence. These CEs are effectively summations of the characters themselves. For example, Mordredās Bond 10 effectively sums up her identity issues. And Angra Mainjuās?
Itās all about how he was a necessary evil, his life taken from him, hatred burned into him...
...and how Caren, despite seeing it all, still loved him.
And the CEs effect? A Guts buff and the ability to hurt Beast class enemies in a way no other Servant can replicate.
In essence, that love gives him the ability to keep living (with his strongest skill KILLING him btw) and to more effectively protect the world. And considering how the Beasts are related to humanity, it might just be because that love made him human again.
In short, Angra Mainju is a person forced into a role, his nature overwritten by his torture, cursed by fate because of others, indulging in his role because itās all he knows-
And yet, even he finds a way to become a better person. All culminating in a sacrifice that can only be described asĀ āHeroicā.
He truly is a Heroic Spirit.
