I think it would be hard to name a Kpop leader who had to go through everything Bang Chan had to go through. One other Kpop leader who had to carry the weight that Bang Chan had to carry.

I have IMMENSE respect for all idols and leaders, because it’s a hell of a lot of pressure and responsibility, but Chan had to go through something entirely unique to him. Like when I genuinely sit and think about it I just don’t know how he did it. Leaving family, new country and culture, 7 years training, being left behind with the loneliness and disappointment, being made a leader and then being responsible for every group member even making it into the group through an elimination show, and then the success almost being entirely on his shoulders as the main producer. It’s almost like JYP said, “well we’re just gonna throw them to the wolves and if they don’t succeed we can call them an experiment gone wrong,” and Bang Chan responded “bet!”
