First is that Wilbur got bit multiple times! There's a few scrapes here and there too but the definite bites are on his hand, knee, and elbow like Phil.

Even though Wilbur is touch averse, he still leans in against Kristin's hand when she hesitates because in his mind, this is the last time he'll ever get to see her. I decided not to add speech bubbles, but he was supposed to whisper "mama"

They didn't lock Phil in with him, Phil followed in after Wilbur. What I really like about that one frame where he stands over Wilbur is like. I mentioned Phil being somewhat of a symbol of Wilbur's guilt and blame, so that fact he follows him into the room and stands watch is like!! It's just a cool nod to that. Because him saving tommy, while an act of good, was also done out of guilt.

The most you can see from Kristin is either tears beading up at the corners of her eyes, or a tearstain. She's not crying because she's trying to be strong for Wilbur and the others.

Also Wilbur and Kristin mirroring each other's poses somewhat I thought would be a cool thing to draw out

These next ones aren't really details, but more of things I couldn't include or make apparent. One is when Techno squeezes her hand, it's a silent apology before he goes to pick up tommy. That he gets to hold his little brother and sleep next to him, and Kristin can't even be with her son in his final moments.

And techno is also holding tommy tight cause this, because he is what Wilbur is "dying" (I put this in quotes cause he isn't dying but they don't know that) for. And it's a bunch of conflicted emotions. Devastation that this teen is dying for your brother, and the relief that it's him in that room and not tommy.

It's why in the og ask I said that techno was praying to a god he didn't believe in.

Because he's praying to hell and back that Wilbur lives

That Kristin won't lose her only other family

That tommy won't have to live with the guilt of someone dying for him

That Wilbur, this 14 year old kid he just met, won't die as broken and as haunted as he is now. No kid deserves that

Hello everyone, I am Raghad Qanou, a second-year human medicine student at Al-Azhar University in Gaza, or rather, I was like that, before I lost everything, literally everything... Before the 7th of October, me and my family [8 members] were living in our cute house in the Shujaiya neighborhood in Gaza, after huge suffering to repair it and return to living in it after it was destroyed in the 2014 war on Gaza. My family and I were forced to leave our home and forcibly move under fire 7 times so far! i first met raghad sometime in june after she messaged me here on tumblr. one of the first things she shared with me (besides her name lol) was this piece:

since then, we've been able to chat a handful of times-- i told her how much i loved her artwork and she excitedly shared even more of her work with me

raghad is a talented artist- a loving sister- a diligent student- a wonderful daughter- and someone who deserves a chance to live a life worth living. her whole family does

they continue to suffer through horrific living conditions and rely on y'all to help carry their burden. to reveal yourself so vulnerably to the world is far from easy. so often, we are told to grit our teeth and push through whatever ails us in silence. but this is a type of pain that cannot and should not be felt alone. and it will take everyone to band together so we can begin to heal

raghad's campaign still has a long way to go. to help things move along, i am proposing another art reveal ✨

if we can get raghad to £15K- i will unveil another beautiful piece from her collection of artwork!

Milo - “Zen Scientist”:  Introspective Musings from the Lazy Theologian

Hip hop is about expressing yourself. I think an unfortunate attitude a lot of people have towards the genre is that it’s only about smoking dope, banging hoes, and shooting guns. They’re wrong. Like any other genre of music, hip hop is a creative outlet for anyone who has a message or a vision. A personal favorite artist of mine that I recommend to hip hop skeptics is Milo.

Milo is an underground rapper from Wisconsin that is making some of the most lyrical and unique hip hop music being released today. Bordering on spoken word music, Milo fulfills a niche within hip hop that nobody else is really even trying to break into. Milo’s flow is slow, understandable, and more coherent than any other rapper’s that I’ve ever heard. Milo is so particular with his word choice, that it makes sense that he would rap in such a clear voice. He wants you to understand his words. Milo may rap in a manner that any dummy could understand, however his subject matter is of a whole different nature.

Prior to pursuing a career in music, Milo was a philosophy student at St. Norbert College, in Wisconsin. He began rapping as an extension and further exploration of what he was learning at school. In addition, Milo identifies as a product of Internet culture. He often references obscure Internet jokes, video gaming culture, cartoons, and anything else geeky. While listening to Milo you could be subject to a verse that spans from a Dragon Ball Z reference, to a simile comparing himself to the great 11th century conqueror, William of Normandy. Milo is a nerd, and he fully embraces it. Also, fun fact: for a high school statistics project, I did a unique word analysis of the lyrics for 50 rappers and William Shakespeare. Milo was leagues ahead of everyone else in vocabulary, including Shakespeare.

Take the first verse of his lead single from his 2015 album so the flies don’t come, “Zen Scientist” for example:

I feel this track, and this verse more specifically are great representations of the philosophical side of Milo. He portrays himself as a bit of an oxymoron; a Zen Scientist. He is as introspective and reflective as a Zen Buddhist, yet he is never truly at peace. Milo is always trying to mentally challenge himself, and discover more ways of thinking, like a scientist. Of course, we’re also given some classic Milo, with some exceedingly obscure references ranging from various Greek mythological figures, to the character Gomez, from the Addams’ Family.

I can’t recommend Milo enough to everyone. His music is thought provoking, but not too heavy.
