Day 1
I tried to remind myself to feel. To ground every step in the fact that I am in central america.
When we got of the plane my first thought was "it smells like the part of the zoo where the monkeys reside". It has a touch of ignorance; that my eyes have not seen much. But it humbles me; knowing that every new experience here grants me the opportunity to learn and grow.
And I am here, open.
I have always felt a strong longing for central and south america, but never really carried the courage to reconstruct this "unobtaniable" goal from a loose dream to a present reality.
And for this opportunity I am so grateful. I have already met people who have opened my eyes on how to percieve myself and my reality in relation to this reality.
It is not alike anything I have experienced before.
So now, when I am about to go to sleep, the clock hitting 21:35, I feel nothing but excitement. Nothing but love towards everything I have done to get here and towards every helping hand that streched itself towards me and gave my adventure a push.
Thank you.
Tomorrow we're heading towards Puerto Viejo, a five hour busride across the country over mountains, rivers and national parks..
and to the sea.
