also i wanna say i appreciate how every story i can remember has green in the bedrooms. sassy, light on, i think the babyau for DD? and for SM too. i think its just one of those little things, the consistencies that you keep in your various characterizations that i really like. simon seems like a green person. even in light on, when the nursery was already painted or in sassy when simon wasn't the one choosing the color, it just... feels right. idk. team green

B. I love how you always notice my little details. I choose different shades of green a lot. I like how it feels more connected to the earth, symbolizes rebirth, healing, hope even, which are things I love for Simon in these softer pieces.

Ok. I’m on the babyAU. What’s his name? How did they choose it?

MCWEXLER BABY AU MY BELOVED!

They have a really hard time picking a name. This is partially because Jimmy wants the baby to be a girl and Kim wants it to be a boy. Obviously they’ll both love him or her no matter what blah blah blah, but those are their initial gut preferences when asked. Jimmy wants a girl because he thinks a mini Kim will be the cutest thing ever (matching ponytails!). Kim wants a boy because part of her is secretly kind of terrified she’s going to be as bad a mom as her mother was, and she hopes there’s less a chance of history repeating if it’s a mother-son dynamic instead of mother-daughter (spoiler alert: Kim is a terrific mom).

So they bounce around on names a lot. Kim suggests using James, but Jimmy doesn’t want to name the kid directly after him (privately, he thinks it’s kind of sad to name the first kid after a parent because what if there’s another child later on? Won’t they feel left out?). Then Kim suggests the name Morgan, since that’s kind of named after him but it’s more subtle, and they could use it for a boy or girl. They decide they do like that, but they don’t love it. They talk about naming after other family members, particularly Jimmy’s dad, but then it’s kind of like naming him after Chuck, too, and they don’t want to do that (sorry, Chuck). They consider Kim’s grandmother, whom she really loved, but it’s an old-fashioned name that doesn’t feel right.

Then they move on to references to movies they love and whatnot. They agree they can’t possibly name a baby Atticus, so that’s out. Jimmy vetoes Scout, saying it’s a dog’s name. On and on they go, but they can’t find something they like. 

Jimmy announces that they should just use the name Timothy regardless of gender, and then they can be Jimmy, Kimmy, and Timmy. Kim hits him in the face with a pillow.

In the end, they buy a baby name book and work their way through the alphabet, just looking for names they both like and that sound good with their last names. Kim gets many post-its involved and they are color-coded. They eventually have a shortlist and just decide to wait until the kiddo is born, hoping they’ll be better able to decide once they see him or her. 

They barely have a discussion after he’s born, they both just know, and when Chuck and Rebecca stop by to visit, it’s to officially meet baby Ian Wexler-McGill.

A Catradora fanchild! A calico?? A Torbie?? Her name is Alys! She is Adora and Catra’s kid! Alys is a very quiet and observant child. At least at the beginning of things. She likes to crawl into tight and dark spaces and peek out at everyone else from them. You may notice her right eye is white and that is due to She-Ra’s magic. As someone who’s always loved heroes, I liked to believe the trope “For the Greater Good” has a cost in regards to the person it’s subjected to. Because she was meant to be the heir of She-Ra, despite both Adora and Catra’s many many protests, as a result, she had to “pay a price”. Thankfully it was not painful as she’s had this since birth, but it makes for some tension between her mothers. Alys, as she gets older, will be less inclined to fighting outright unless provoked or made to prove herself. Instead, she’s highly interested in healing and in diplomatic situations possibly due to Queen Angella being a bit of an influence on her. And Bow and Perfuma. Still, she can get just as rowdy and wild with the rest of them as she gets to be a teen/young adult and she’s going to make poor Catra pull her hair out with how much trouble she’s looking for.

He Is Our What?!

Voltron Legendary Defender (Klance story)

Just an idea that had been floating around my head. XD

What would you do if you woke up with a child y in your bed? Well, that is what just happen to Lance. You see after Keith left the team to join the Blade of Marmora, Lance cry to himself that night. He wishes someone besides Keith would comfort his loneliness, but that someone has to be Keith too. Well, Fate seems to grant him that wish and sent a five-year-old boy to Lance while he slept.

“Wha?!” Lance scream as he pulls up the sheet to see a five-year boy sleeping peacefully near him. Lance’s screaming woke up the unknown boy and Lance got a good view of the boy. He looks so similar to Keith except his eyes are blue like Lance and for some reason, his skin is sparkly or is Lance’s eyes just play tricks on him.

“Papa?” The boy asked, puzzled that his Papa looks different.

“Oh shit.” Lance cursed himself.

Shiro: So you are telling me that you just found tiny Keith in your bed when you woke up?

Lance: Yes!

Pidge: You sure you didn’t get birth and the boy magical grew overnight?

Lance: Pidge, I am a guy, and guys can’t get pregnant!

Boy: *reach out his hand to Shiro* Uncle Shiro!

Pidge: Oh boy, things just got more complicated.

Lance: *sent a glare at Pidge*

Pidge: Can I do a check on him? 

Lance: Pidge, you get any close to this boy and I will make sure you regret will it.

Slav: This no doubts this child from an alternate reality.  

Hunk: Okay, we get that but whose child is it?

Slav: Well, base on the appearance and eyes, I would have to say this child is Keith and Lance's child from an alternate reality.

Pidge: *yelling in the background* Hunk. you own me five gac!

Lance: He is our what?

Slav: Like I say, there is 25% of you two getting together, 10% of breaking up, 5% of one of you getting together, and 1% chance of you two having a child, also .5% between you two who will get pregnant with a child.

Lance: What about this reality? What is our chance?

Slav: That is for me to know and you to find out.

Boy: What are you talking about, Papa? I'm Laith, your son. 

Lance: Okay Laith... I don't know how to tell you this but to tell you the truth. I am not your papa. 

Laith: Then does Papa hate me?  

Lance: What? No, of course not. At least I don't think the alternative me don't. 

Laith: *start crying* Papa hates me...

Lance: *start to panic* No, I don't hate you. *Pick up Laith* I'm sorry. 

Laith: *still crying* 

Lance: Don't cry. Papa does love you. Why would he hate you? 

Laith: *crying* Because Papa and Dada were fighting last night.  Papa was against Dada going on a mission alone. 

Lance: *hug Laith and begin to cuddle him* Don't cry. Papa is here. 

Laith: *still crying* 

Lance: *Begin to sing Laith a lullaby." 

Laith: *stop crying and listen to Lance's lullaby* Papa? 

Lance: That's right, I am your Papa. 

Laith: *Smile and close his eyes* I love you, Papa. 

Lance: Me too, Laith
