And really, I think I could write a whole fucking essay about the issue in fandom with trying not to fall into fetishization while realizing there's not a single het ship you like in your fandom, and even fewer wlw ones... but then, yeah no shit we don't have any. Women in media are treated like shit and het couples in media are boring as fuck. So what on the gods green earth am I supposed to do with ONLY male character being well-written AND having possitive interactions with each other???? And you know the fuck what, I mean this whole heartedly, because 99% of the fucking time, a female character is EITHER 1) written with good characterization and is complex OR 2) has interesting dynamics/relationships (platonic included) with other characters in the show. Its so, so fucking rare to see both. You know one of my favorite ships rn? YenxGeralt from the witcher 3 and the witcher books. You know what my ideal shop from the show would be? Yenaskier (AFTER some self help and therapy for all parties.) My favorite DC ships? Timkon, birdflash, jayroy, garxraven, Harleyxpoison, Catbat, dickory, and babsxdick (no I will NOT choose between Kory and babs I love them both FIGHT ME). Oh wow would you look at that, het ships that actually interest me because of ACTUAL GOOD RELATIONSHIPS AND WELL WRITEN FEMALE CHARACTERS. And omg, would ya fookin look at that, a wlw queer ship!!!!! GEE, I WONDER WHY. Fun fact, in MOST the books I've read, I shipped the het ship that was there because both the characters were actually well fucking written, NOT heteronormativity (hell my first thought to the selena/clarissa/chris thing was "oh neat poly relationship lets get this bread" and I was TWELVE) Do better tv and media.

(Should I mention that most the books I read as a kid were written by female authors? I feel like I should)
