The KankuHina came to be because well there aren't a lot of them out there and i bugged Lav about writing one but she won't just like she won't write ChoHina 🥲, So I decided why not write one myself, Kankuro deserves more love and who better to give him that love then Hinata 😊

As far as the story goes I have a rough outline, Hinata is on a mission in Suna, I think after the 4th War, she broke up with Naruto not long before the mission, While there she hangs out with Temari a lot and Kankuro joins them, eventually they all get drunk one night and Kankuro and Hinata share a kiss and it sparks something in them.

More then that i don't have right now 😁

2. HOW LARGE DOES THE AGE GAP HAVE TO BE TO MAKE IT UNCOMFORTABLE?

So long as both characters are adult it's fine. Some characters are immortal or races that are long lived, so it doesn't matter in that regard.

3. HOW FAR DO STEAMY MOMENTS HAVE TO GO BEFORE THEY ARE CONSIDERED NSFW?

I draw the line at sex stuff for it to be nsfw (shocking, I know). But for example, a steamy kiss or them being handsy with each other is not nsfw, perhaps just innapropiate depending on the context.

4. ARE YOU SELECTIVE WHEN SHIPPING?

Yes and no? Like, if we are mutuals and my character swings yours' way, most likely we talked about it since I'm a ship whore, but I'd like to at least talk about it? Like if you thrust the ship onto my face I might get sour on it fast.

Heads up: the lunar chronicles has gotten flack for the representation of a pan-Asian country (i.e. incorrect honorifics/names, a Japanese family ruling over all of Asia with no though to how that could relate to Japan's imperialistic). There are some reviews by Asian readers out there talking about, like at diversireads on tumblr.

oh I'm glad you brought that up. it's by no means a perfect series and "the Eastern Commonwealth" is one of it's biggest problems. the author mentioned on her website that she has only been to Asia once, and it was to China for like a week when she was 13. that definitely shows in her writing. eg, surnames first and given names second, mandarin honorifics, the capital is New Beijing (this weird beijing-shanghai-tokyo-seoul conglomerate). she pretty much exclusively includes east Asian countries which is disappointing but tbh not a surprise.

another thing is that within the Eastern Commonwealth they never really name any countries or regions besides the capital. yet the white protagonist in the second book lives in France and even a specific tiny little town?

going back to the pan-asian issue, one of the things that always kills me is that cinder's step/adoptive mother is named linh adri. she's slightly Vietnamese(?)-coded based on her last name, linh. however, the author stated that adri is a Hindi name (I don't mean to say someone's name can't be a language other than their first name but for this example and context, it shouldn't be). see where I'm going with this? it gets worse. so this character, who has two different cultures in her name alone, is described in her very first scene as wearing a kimono. *insert jvn can you believe?* maybe this character is actually mixed vietnamese/Indian/Japanese but I think that's giving the author way too much credit. one could also argue that in the future everyone will be mixed but that's really not an excuse for lazy writing and lack of research.

I'm always torn over these issues between "white people should get used to writing stories other than their own" and "leave poc stories to the people who know them best".

Tell us about Samahade the Cat XD

Well Samehada the Cat is from you're story Lavender Umbrellas and I love that damn cat so I drew him.

Then Umbrellas was ending and I found out he wasn't going to be in Guarding Affections, So basically I took it upon myself to put him in that universe.

So I decided that I was going to write a One-Shot of Samehada messing around in the Hyuga building and he would specifically mess with Ko one of Hinata's Bodyguards from Canon.

Snippet: Ko had been chasing the cat all over the building everyone noticed him of course some laughed and some ignored him. He didn't care what they thought. This Cat had touched his last nerve and it needed to be caught. 

It still needs work and I've basically not touched it since November but one day it will get finished, One Day.

Off course I got the permission of Lav to write this story, I wouldn't touch her works without asking.

But to put long things short its a One-Shot of a Cat messing with a Adult Man's Work.

Fuck the cishet 'default' for characters. ALL my characters are Nonbinary and Aroace by default until I state otherwise. No exceptions. And if one of my characters turns out to be cishet after all, I don't want to see people complaining.

Once I get my projects done and people are wondering what gender and/or orentation a character is, you can refer to this post as proof for a cannon Nonbinary and Aroace identity.

Why Nonbinary and Aroace? Because I'm those things! Those are my normal! My default for the self that is me and thus now the self that my characters will be to.

Ok how about a hobbit and lotr match. I'm hetro-orented aroace. I'm on the autistic spectrum. People describe me as a kind and polite with a tendency to mind my own business. While I tried to treat people the way I want to be treated it takes awhile for me to fully trust a person. I enjoying reading, write, playing games, doing crafts, and nature. I also recently started doing martial arts classes. I work for a library as a clerk.

Lord of the Rings: Eomer

Eomer would fall for your kind heart and enjoy spending time with you. Listening to you talk about the stories you would read, and he too would share stories that he grew up hearing. He’d love to take you for walks around Rohan, showing you many beautiful gardens and pathways leading to and from the kingdom. He would feel quite comfortable with you, knowing that you would make an effort as a polite person. He would understand why it would take you a while to trust another person, so he would let you take your time to get to know him, especially because he would never want you to feel uncomfortable with him.

At first he would be very protective towards you since, the battles were worsening in Rohan. Whenever he would find out that you were learning martial arts, it would bring his mind to ease. He would find it quite interesting, and even ask if you could demonstrate one of your drills. Once realizing how affective they were, Eomer definitely would be asking for you to teach him a few things. He'd often find himself bragging to the other soldiers about how skilled you already were.

The Hobbit: Fili

Fili would find himself falling for you fairly quickly. He would want to get to know you better, especially since he found you as a quite interesting person. He’d enjoy spending his time with you, hearing about all the things that you were interested in. Fili would find you quite fun to be around, since you both could play games together, wander around in nature. He'd love that you two could share that connection and love for nature.

He would know that you were the one, especially since you were such a kind hearted person. He couldn’t help but fall for you, though he would be very patient and understanding if you didn't share those same feelings with him yet. He'd reassure you that, there's all the time in the world and that at this moment the two of you could just focus on having some fun. Fili would also be quite stunned whenever he'd find out that you were capable of performing martial arts. He definitely would not expect it at first, but he'd be more than impressed.

This boy would be confused. He would wonder why? And ask you to explain not because hes being hateful but because hes never heard of some identifying as a different gender then they were born with. But after youve explained it to him he may slip up every once in a while calling you by your indicated pronoun but will quickly correct himself and apologize. He may not entirely get it but he wants you to be happy and repects your wished on the manner.

Diavolo

This man would ask you so many questions with a childlike gleam in his eye because hes never heard of this before. He make sure to ask you your designated pronouns, what your indentify as your sexual orention everything. And if someone called ypu the wrong prounoun hed suddenly *cough* and say the prounoun you actually go by. And dont even get me started on when you told him about pride fests in the human world. Hed go out of his way to organize one. (Only midly annoying luci in the process because my gosh the paperwork and all the vendors needed to bool this event.) With barbatos aiding him im any way he can.

Barbattos

Hes lived a long time made quiet a few trips to the human world and generally knows a lot. So it wouldnt surpise him when you asked him to called you the prounoun you indentify instead. He would then apologize and offer to make you some tea he recently picked up from the human world.

Mammon

He would be shocked,confused and very flustered for a minute. He would stumble over his words intill you calmed him down and explained about prounouns and ways you can indentify. Then he say something silly/stupid like why didnt you say somethimg sooner? Agree to call you whatever you want to be called and ask you if you can help him with his latest get rich quick scheme

You wouldnt have to explain much because as soon as you said anything about it hed start gushing about how this is just like one of my animes. "My bestfriend/love interest just told me they dont view themselves like everyone else does and was worried they wouldnt be able to tell me but now everything is cool and were closer then ever before."

He'd have a few questions but already be semi knowledgeable about the subject. It helps that he decided to research in secret when he saw you light up about a pride fest that was going to be held in the human world. Honey you wouldnt have to explain anything to this man. He already knows and had some inklings that you identified differently but didnt want to make you uncomfortable so he waited for you to come out and tell him. He always calls you by your prounouns and is already planning your outfit and buying all sorts of rainbow stuff for when the next pride fest rolls around.

Has no idea what any of this stuff beyond gay or straight is. But is more then willing to listen and happily calls you your prounouns. He really likes how happy you look while explaing this and planning on making some pride cookies with you and belphy now.

He doesnt know much beyond the gay straight spectrum but has heard a little about the extended spectrum on some of his visits to the human world when he was still a angel. He listens to you talk about it while cuddling you in his floofy bed and agreed to called you by your prounouns in exchange for more cuddles. (He woulve anyway but any excuse for cuddles or taking naps with you this mam will take.)

Simon

Hes lived a long time and seen human civilization grow and progress so you dont need to explain any of this stuff to him. In fact he remembers when the very first pride fest was thrown. So he says hell call you by your chosen prounouns from know on and thats that.

Simeon

Probably takes the longest. Not because hes homophobic but because this man isnt super caught up with the times and only recently mastered texting. He slips up a lot with your prounouns but apologizes and feels terrible afterwards. He didnt even know they had pride fests but its important to you so hes determined to learn more about it and get the hang of it.

Luke

Doesnt really understand why youd feel that way but it doesnt matter. Just because he cant understand it himself doesnt mean that he isnt going to call you whatever you want to be called. He knows its important to you and suports you 100% and laughs when ever you give him rainbow flower crowns when pride month rolls around.

This was not planned to be part of this series, but it happened, so here. 

September 18, 1998

A soft knock sounded on the front door, disrupting the peace. James grumbled, setting down his book, The Great Gatsby, and turning off the radio before opening the door. Regulus was there, leaning against the door frame, arm across his stomach, smiling at James in a pained way. He was pale and smelled somewhat metallic, but only faintly. A deep crimson stained his navy shirt darker color, and James had a strong inkling of what he was covering.

“Regulus? What the fuck happened to you?!” 

He all but fell into James’ arms, whimpering a little at the contact, but otherwise gave no indication to what had happened. “‘M fine, babe. Just flesh wound, I’ll be fine.”  

“You got stabbed?!” 

Regulus shook his head and chuckled a little, then let out a pained sound as James tried to carry him to their couch, brushing the book aside as he set Regulus down as gently as possible, still tearing a groan from him. 

“Regulus, what the fuck happened? You went out for a walk. How did you get stabbed?!”

“Well see, I didn’t get stabbed, it’s just a-” 

“Regulus, I swear to god, if you say you didn’t get stabbed one more time… well I’d never hurt you but still.”

Regulus groaned and shook his head. “I ran into someone from school. That’s all. Now can we go to a hospital or something?” 

“Shit, yeah, let me grab the phone.” James hurried to their room, grabbing the phone and dialing 112 as he ran back down the stairs to help Regulus. 

“Hallo? Ja, ik heb een ambulance nodig. Mijn verloofde is neergestoken-”//Hey? Yes, I need an ambulance. My fiancé got stabbed- 

“I wasn’t stabbed!” Regulus cut him off, then winced when he pressed his stomach the wrong way. “I was just cut. Not stabbed.” 

“Goed, hij is gesneden. Ik weet niet hoe erg hij het me niet heeft laten zien.”//Okay, it's a cut. I don't know how badly, he won’t show me.

 He switched to English, looking at Reg. “Love, I know I hate blood but show me? Please?” Regulus nodded and lifted up his shirt, and James almost threw up on the sight. But he pressed it down, turning away to finish speaking. 

“Het is slecht. Hij bloedt vaak. Ons adres is Adrianes Bryce Street 38.”//It's bad. He's bleeding a lot. Our address is 38 Adrianes Bryce Street.

 James doesn’t remember much after that. He remembers the operator giving him directions to staunch the blood flow, and to remain calm, and the medics arriving and going to the hospital, but it went by in a blur of blood, worry, sirens, waiting rooms, and bright lights. The next memory of that night that isn’t fuzzy is hours later, after Regulus is stitched up and falls asleep much to his own protest because James insisted he sleeps.

He didn’t plan on falling asleep himself, his head laying on Regulus’s chest, palms interlaced between them, while the rest of his body in the uncomfortable plastic hospital chair set up next to the hospital bed. That’s how he woke up to voices talking outside the cracked door, though his sleep and worry-addled brain didn’t recognize the owners for a few moments. 

“Did he fall asleep?” 

“Well, considering that he’s snoring on your brother, I’m going to say yes. What happened to Regulus anyways?” 

“I don’t know really. James called but I couldn’t really hear him over the sirens. It sounded like he said Regulus was stabbed, and then Reg said he wasn’t stabbed. James just told me to get to the hospital and to call Pete.” 

“Fuck, Sirius. He got stabbed?” 

“I guess so? I don’t know. Do we go in there and wake them up?”

“I think the only reason that Reg is sleeping is that James forced him to. And you know James, he would only fall asleep if he was really worried. You know he’s odd like that. Either pass out from worry or paces until someone ties him down. And don’t make a sex joke, please.” 

“About my best friend and baby brother? No, I will not make a sex joke about them.” 

“Sirius, Regulus is 19. He’s not a baby anymore. He’s getting married soon.” 

“Nope, nope, nope. Don’t say that. I can’t handle it.” 

“Love, you can’t just pretend it’s not happening-” 

“Sirius? Remus? What the hell is going on? I got a call from James saying Regulus was stabbed?” 

“I think so, Pete. I don’t know for sure because, by the time we got here, both of them were out. If you look in there, they’re both asleep.” 

“Ok, so they still think we’re asleep.” 

James jumped a little at Regulus’ voice and manuvered himself to sit in the too-small chair. “How did you know I was awake?” He asked quietly, and Regulus smiled and shrugged, bringing one hand to card his fingers through James’ thick curls. “You breathing gets lighter when you’re awake.Besides. We’ve been together for what, five years now? Did you really think I wouldn’t know when you wake up? ” 

“Are we sure you’re nineteen?” James asked abruptly, startling a small chuckle from Reg. “What?” 

“I mean, you act so much older, and god I really wanna marry you. I know I told you that we should wait until you’re older, even if we got engaged, but-” 

“Ah! The love birds are awake!” Peter interrupted, coming into the room and sitting on the foot of Regulus’ bed. Sirius and Remus followed, though Sirius closed his eyes and covered his ears with his hands as he walked into the room, speaking rapid fire Dutch. 

“La la la la, dat hoor ik niet, nee, nee, nee. Stop met praten Peter, praat daar niet over.” // La la la la, I won't hear that, nope, nope, nope. Stop talking Peter, don't talk about that. 

Remus rolled his eyes, reaching for Sirius’ wrists and pulling them down, kissing his knuckles until Sirius opened his eyes to glare at him. Remus pulled him over to the spare chair to sit near the bed. James got out of his chair, sitting next to Regulus and swinging his feet over the bed so he could bring an arm around Reg’s shoulder, meaning his head to rest on top of Regulus’. He laced their fingers together again, resting on his lap. Sirius pointedly looked away, instead sitting in Remus’ lap and asking a question.

“So, oh dearest brother of mine, how, exactly, did you get stabbed?” 

James groaned and used his free hand to cover Regulus’ mouth before he could speak. “Apparently, he didn’t get stabbed,” then continued in a mocking tone despite the muffled noise Regulus made. “‘It’s just a flesh wound, babe, I’ll be fine!’ You got stitches, I don’t care how fucking shallow it is, you got hurt, Regulus, and I-” 

He stopped and pulled his hand from Regulus’ mouth, shaking it off. “Did you just lick me?” 

Regulus nodded and smirked when James made a disgusted noise. “What, so licking your hand is weird, but you’re perfectly fine with me licking your-” 

“Okayyyyy, that’s enough of that!” Sirius put a hand over his mouth, then seemed to remember where it had been and took it off quickly. “Now, what the hell happened?” 

Regulus sighed and melted into James’ embrace when he ran his hand through Regulus’ short hair, scratching his scalp lightly. “Not much to say. Snape’s racist and homophobic. Marrying a desi person is enough, but a desi man? He saw the ring and then grabbed my wallet, saw the pictures of us and… I don’t know attacked me? I don’t really remember alot of it, except getting to the house. I- I’m sorry.” 

“Don’t apolgize, sweetheart,” James mumbled against his hair, and Regulus nodded. “It’s okay. You’re safe, and I’m never letting you go.”
