Hi hi! What are three things that always make you smile?

Len: Music is definitely a good thing. Even though almost everyone loves music, its obviously like a big part of a life and stuff. Even though I don't like some of the songs Crypton and the producers make me sing, I do love to sing just about anything else even if its just gibberish. I like really do believe it's my purpose in life and even if it wasn't my career, I'd still be singing.

Len: Bananas made me happy. Well pretty much anything that is banana flavored will make my day. Thats pretty much it, I just like bananas.

Len: Rin is always number 1! She means the world to me, I'll give up everything I mentioned before and more if she needed it (I can't think of a reason why he would need me to give up music and bananas, but I'd do it). She is always there during my darkest moments. I like literally can't think of anyone else that I want to spend the rest of my life with.

Greetings!! I am aware that this might me a little invasive(?), and if so, there's no need to answer

But, if I may ask, what is the process behind Ask Galaco's illustrations? :0 Do you have any pre-made location sheets? How much time in advance do you preper her (and other's) clothings? And how - more or less - is the selection made?

I apologize if it's too much to ask, and thank you in advance!!

Oh, hey! Not a problem at all!

The process is generally about the same each ask…I think up my answer, draw the panel, and resize things to fit with speech bubbles, etc.

Getting more into the technical bits…locations! I make use of 3D models a lot! With a few filters you can easily turn a scene from this:

Into this!

Then, for size and scale and posing, I usually insert 3D models of the characters who will be appearing. It helps keep the perspective and proportions even and also playing with their poses saves me a LOT of time.

The final drawing doesn’t always match exactly, but it gives me a great idea of what I want to be doing and where.

Then I just finish by sketching, inking, and coloring.

And put it all together into one image!

As for clothes inspo and deciding on what to have them wear, I have a HUGE folder of fashion saved that i’ve collected over the years. Plus stuff out of my own closet! Sometimes I get outfit ideas from magazines as well. From there, it’s just a matter of choosing how to dress up my girls for that ask! I try not to repeat fashion, with the exception of CUL who will occasionally re-wear some pieces. Choosing outfits is just my feeling at the moment. Instinct. And what I feel like drawing that day.
